the realisation that someone wants your happiness more than their own can be a painful one

instead of doing anything yet, mingi decided to sleep. he wouldn’t be able to do anything right now anyway, since you were asleep, and maybe yunho had come up with a solution the next day. but it was hard, falling asleep, even though you were in his arms, because he had no idea if he should tell you about it or not. he didn’t want to make you feel like he only cared about that, about being soulmates, but he also cared about that - how could he not? it by far wasn’t his main reason for liking you, but he couldn’t deny that it did affect him. and even though he’d told you that yunho liked you, too, earlier, that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt for him to think that you might choose his best friend over him, even though he deserved it. he was just anxious, overthinking, or maybe thinking just the right amount, and that made it hard to sleep.

though he did fall asleep, eventually, because he was with you right now and he was your friend and that thought calmed him down enough to enter the land of dreams.

of course you noticed that something was odd with mingi the next day, and you brought it up, but he told you that he just felt a little weird being like this with you, even when you were just friends, when he was still mourning. he also told you that he was worried about you, about how you were feeling, and spent another one or two hours with you before leaving to make sure you’d know he did care about you and your wellbeing. then he left, still seeming awkward, uncertain and anxious, and you texted yunho, who was still texting mingi and trying to come up with what to do, though you didn’t know that.

[y/n]: ask mingi to come over, i dont think hes okay rn

and yunho knew, of course he knew that mingi was far from okay, so of course he would do that.

[yunho]: will do. ill update you once i know more, okay?

he didn’t want to snitch on his friend, he didn’t want to do anything hasty, he wanted to find a solution with mingi before any decisions were made. but he also didn’t want you to worry too much, so this seemed like a good compromise. he just hoped they’d actually find a solution, because this situation wasn’t exactly an easy one.

but because you had no idea what was going on you just waited, though it lasted for exactly ten minutes before you got tired of it and too anxious to sit still and you went to the shelter, hoping to calm down a little. there you stayed for several hours, until mingi messaged you, asking where you were and if he could come over, saying he was feeling better now and apologising for his odd behaviour that morning.

and because you were too soft for him you immediately agreed, waiting at the shelter until he came over to spend time with you.

yunho had asked him to come over, and of course he would. he really wanted to know what to do, he wanted to know how to handle things, he wanted to not fuck up. he wanted to do things right this time, he didn’t want to lose you again.

“hey”, the blond said as he opened the door for mingi, who moved into the flat wordlessly, throwing himself on the sofa with a loud groan.

“i take you still haven’t told her?”, which made the groan louder and had his friend cover his face with his hands.

“i just don’t know if i should”, he almost whined out, so incredibly unsure about everything right now. he wanted to be with you, but he was scared that if he’d tell you about this latest development you’d think he only cared about you for this soulmate business, something that wasn’t the case. while he hadn’t entirely forgotten about it it wasn’t his main motivation, his motivation was wanting to get to know you and getting to be with you and, in part, showing you that you weren’t just a poor copy of whoever you used to be, showing you that you were worth being cherished the way you were now. and because he knew that you wouldn’t let him, these next words left his mouth, something he’d thought more than he’d like to admit.

“i think you should tell her how you feel. it wouldn’t surprise me if she likes you, too, with the way the two of you are always talking. she trusts you, and i know you wouldn’t hurt her. maybe that’s better.”

“are you… trying to set us up?”, yunho asked, confused by the brunette’s words because this was the last thing he’d expected.

“that sounds horrible. i just want her to be happy, you know? and i know you wouldn’t let anyone make her sad, not even me.”

while that was true yunho wouldn’t do this to mingi, even if he did like you - something he’d noticed, but that he’d just accepted as unrequited feelings, because it was so obvious that his friend still meant so much to you.

“i mean, yeah, but you like her, don’t you? you could make her happy, too, just get your shit together first.”

mingi sighed loudly, a long, pained, resigned sigh.

“that’s the thing. she deserves better, don’t you think? better than someone that keeps fucking up because of his own baggage. i can’t promise i won’t hurt her again, and i don’t want to risk that.”

this was so thoughtful of mingi and it showed his friend that he really was trying his best, that he really did care about you, and that he’d even put his own happiness back if it would make you happier. and because he cared so much yunho couldn’t do it, wouldn’t even consider it; maybe if mingi had ignored your feelings and his concerns and just thrown himself in head first yunho wouldn’t have had these hesitations, but because the slightly shorter man cared so much he couldn’t do that. and he told mingi that.

“she doesn’t even like me that way. trust me, she doesn’t”, when mingi was about to protest, “she cares about you. she just wants you to care about her, too. why else would she still give you a chance, hm? if she didn’t care you’d long be blocked, because, in all honesty, you’d deserve it.”

“i guess”, another loud sigh. “but i won’t tell her, not yet, at least. i don’t want to hurt her”, laying down on his stomach on the (too short) couch, almost slamming his head into a pillow in frustration because he had absolutely zero idea what to do. because he wanted to be with you but didn’t know how to go about that. because life kept making things hard for you when they’d just gotten even a little easier.

“maybe you should still text her, though. she worries.”

“mh. i think i’ll go home, i need some time to think. see you, yunho. and thank you.”

and then he left, went home and showered and realised he didn’t want you to worry at all even if he still felt unsure about things, so he texted you, asking to meet up again now to show things were still okay.

mingi looked like he’d cried and tried to hide it when he arrived, hair slightly wet from a shower you assumed he’d taken before he got there, eyes no longer red but still slightly puffy. you had no idea what had happened, but all you could imagine was that he felt guilty because he’d told you he liked you even when it hadn’t been that long since his love had died, something you could understand. or maybe he was overwhelmed with his emotions, something you could most definitely understand, as well. still, he tried to smile at you, coming over to where you were feeding the bunnies once he’d spotted you.

“hey”, obviously still not doing all too well, something you weren’t about to question him about, especially when he was trying to smile at you anyway.

“hey”, smiling back at him, moving your attention back to the bunnies soon after so he wouldn't feel like you were staring.

“again, sorry for acting weird, i was just… feeling weird”, an awkward laugh at his lack of eloquence, but you didn’t mind at all.

“don’t worry about it.”

you knew telling someone not to worry didn’t exactly make them worry less, but it was all you could do right now, telling him that it wasn’t a big deal and trying to act as you always did around him. or, always since you started talking again.

you’d spent about an hour with mingi and he had finally relaxed when your phone buzzed with messages from yunho, several at once, something that worried you a little because the brunette was here with you right now, so you didn’t at all know what yunho could possibly be double texting about. after checking that you had the time to read and reply right now, that there were no animals running around, you unlocked your phone, clicking on the notification in order to find out what was going on.

you hadn’t expected the messages you got, though. when you read them it quickly became very obvious that yunho had no idea that mingi was with you right now, and it seemed pretty obvious that mingi had no idea about what his friend was revealing, either.

[yunho]: i know mingi hasnt told you, but your soulmate mark is gone

[yunho]: dont freak out, its fine, he isnt planning anything

[yunho]: thats why im texting, actually

[yunho]: he told me to get with you, told me that he knows i like you and that you might like me and that even if it means hes not w you at least youre happy

[yunho]: i think hes really changed from when he fucked up, hes learned, and he wants you to be happy more than anything

[yunho]: so while i do like you, i think hes good for you. i think hed make you happy. i know you still like him, and he obviously likes you, enough to try to set you up w me

[yunho]: just thought id let you know

you looked at the phone in shock, unsure what to make of this, unsure what to make of not one but two confessions in the same message, unsure what to make of all the information you’d just gotten, and you almost dropped the little device, completely out of it.

“y/n?”

the man that apparently was really, actually your soulmate seemed worried by your reaction to the messages, and when you showed him the screen he understood what had happened. he didn’t know what to say either, though, but he knew you’d have to tell yunho something, at least, shouldn’t leave him on read.

“please message him back, okay? or i can do it. and then we’ll talk, but he’ll worry if you don’t say anything.”

you nodded, still only half there, and typed up a small message.

[y/n]: mingi is here rn. well talk about it now. thank you

then you locked your phone, staring at the now black screen, completely in shock. you hadn’t even thought about it. you hadn’t even thought about the whole soulmate thing when mingi had held you, or when he’d kissed your head. all you’d thought about was how you wished someone would care about you, really, deeply care, and now you’d gotten that in one of the worst ways you could imagine, because your best friend whom you’d not see as more than a best friend had apparently confessed just like this, and the man you did like seemed to want to set you up with said best friend because he cared about you so much. everything seemed to be going wrong and you had no idea what to do and you felt yourself slowly slip away, something you’d noticed you did when you were stressed, leaving reality so you would first have to deal with things when they’d settled in logically, removing the stress of having to deal with them logically and emotionally simultaneously.

“y/n?”, mingi asked again, looking at you with worry apparent in his eyes but that you missed anyway because you were staring into nothing.

“i’ll bring you home, okay?”, he told you when you didn’t react, and then: “can you tell me your address again? or i’ll take you to my place if you can’t.”

you couldn’t, so he brought you to his place as he’d said, trying carefully to prevent you from getting hurt on the way because it still seemed like you weren’t fully present. he had his arm around your waist the entire time, guiding you, and then you entered that place again, the place that had been your home and refuge for a few weeks and that now looked so different but still the same. it looked… inhabited, maybe, and you tried to focus on all the small details that had changed as he took off his jacket and shoes and you mechanically did the same. then he led you to his room, their room, carefully sitting you down on the bed to figure out what would be best to do right now, whether he should talk or wait until you were more present. he decided to wait, you could tell from how he was looking at you, wait for your next action or reaction.

your next action was looking around; this was the first time you’d ever seen his bedroom, and you’d immediately noticed the picture on the bedside table when mingi had sat you down on his bed, focusing on him and her, taking in all the details to bring you back to reality at least somewhat.

“she’s pretty”, you said once you were kind of there again, and “she was” the man replied, looking at the picture with a mixture of fondness and pain on his face. it kind of hurt, knowing you’d never be as pretty, feeling guilty for worrying about having to compete with a dead person, but she looked ethereal, she looked at mingi with such happiness and he looked at her with an expression you knew he’d never have on his face when looking at you. you were nothing compared to her, you were a mess, you were ugly with your piercings and your hair and your messy, weak body that was still dealing with the effects of apparently having been bed-bound for ages, even if you couldn’t remember, and you didn’t fit with him. you didn’t fit with anyone like him.

“i want to sleep”, even though it was maybe five or six in the afternoon, but you didn’t want to have to deal with your emotions right now and sleeping helped. maybe you were his soulmate, but you were a second choice, not just for him but for fate, too, you weren’t enough and you’d never be the one he wanted. and if you didn’t sleep soon you’d be sobbing in his arms again, something you most definitely didn’t want.

“i want to shower”, you then changed your mind, wanting to cry and knowing that if you stayed quiet you could do so in the shower and he’d never know.

he just nodded, getting out a towel for you and some of his clothes - neither you nor he would want you to wear her clothes -, then brought you to the bathroom, asking you to please not lock because he was still somewhat worried. that was fine with you because you didn’t expect him to come in, anyway, because what was there to see? you weren’t pretty, you weren’t attractive, you weren’t hot. you were a stick and you were a mess and you looked sickly even though you were starting to build up muscle, and nothing of that would ever be something he’d want to see naked. so you closed the door and undressed, the light turned off as soon as mingi was gone, unable to stand looking at yourself naked, too. you hadn’t even known that you had these insecurities until you saw how beautiful she was and how horrendous you looked in comparison, and the first sob escaped your lips as soon as the water was turned on enough to swallow it.

you’d been in the shower for thirty minutes now, and at this point he worried. you’d reacted when he knocked at the twenty minutes mark, so he knew you were still alive, but you hadn’t been doing well when you went in, and when he knocked again and he just heard you whimper he went in.

as soon as he opened the door he was greeted by hot steam coming out, and he could barely see because it was so steamy in there, the air hot and humid. it cleared a little now fresh, colder air was coming in, and he made his way to the shower after turning on the light - why was it turned off in the first place? -, pulling back the curtain because he heard you sob and because the water had to be really hot for the room to be in this state and he worried, he did.

and there you were, skin bright red, the water burning you and you just sitting on the floor and crying.

“y/n”, he almost yelled, shocked and scared, and turned off the water, getting slightly burnt on the tap and from the few drops falling onto his skin even as he tried to avoid the water. then he kneeled down, pulling you to his arms carefully because he didn’t want to hurt you but he worried so much about your sorry state, and you just kept sobbing.

“why’d you do that, why’d you do that, why’s the water so hot”, he repeated, completely overwhelmed, you still sobbing in his arms, but trying to answer.

“i just wanted to feel something”, you told him, “it was so hot but i still didn’t feel anything. it’s not hot enough”, arm moving to turn the water back on, but he stopped you.

“no, no, we won’t do that, we won’t do that, angel”, stroking your head and his heart hurting at how red your skin was. he could only hope you didn’t actually get any burns.

“i want to feel something”, you repeated, and mingi was so overwhelmed, he didn’t know what to do, but he wanted to help.

“can i turn on the water, but cold? maybe that’ll help, maybe it will, but i can’t let you burn yourself.”

he was pleading, hoping you wouldn’t hurt yourself any more, hoping you’d let him take care of you, and when you nodded he felt relieved, making sure the water was at an acceptable temperature before turning it on, gently washing you with the cold water, hoping to prevent it from getting too bad, rubbing your naked body but not caring about the fact that you were naked, caring only about taking care of you even when his clothes were getting soaked.

“is this okay? how does it feel?”, gently rubbing your scalp with the cold water, then your neck and your back and your sides, carefully, trying not to hurt you any more than you’d inevitably be when your senses registered your surroundings again.

“it hurts”, and it seemed like you were starting to come back, the sobs getting more violent again now that you were able to feel your skin be so tight and aching and red from your stupid attempt at feeling something.

“i’m almost done, let me just make sure everything is a little soothed, let me take care of you, i’m almost done”, he tried to calm you down as he rubbed your legs with the cold water again, finally turning the water off and getting up, grabbing a towel and wrapping it around you before he told you to turn around, stripping himself of his wet clothes quickly, drying himself just enough to not soak his new clothes as he put on the pants he’d picked out for you before he told you that he’d put his shirt on you now, asking you to lift your arms if you could so he could do that.

you looked so small and hurt in his massive clothes, you made him want to protect you, and at least for the night he would.

“do you want to go to bed? let’s go to bed, angel”, he told you like he was talking to a child, but it kind of felt like he was. he could tell moving hurt and it made his heart hurt all the more, wanting nothing more than to take at least some of your pain, just enough for you to not be crying out like this because you didn’t want to do anything anymore.

laying down hurt, too, he could tell from how you flinched, and he tried very carefully to not make the bed move too much as he laid down next to you. you were laying on his side, he was laying on what used to be hers, and for a moment he felt a pang in his chest, but now his focus was on you, on trying to make sure that you’d be okay.

“it’s time to sleep. i’m here and if it gets too bad, wake me up. i promise i’ll be here.”

if being alive hadn’t hurt so much you would’ve thanked him, but now you just closed your eyes, and mingi watched your form almost vanish underneath the blankets he’d put on you, hoping that the next morning you’d be okay.

you woke up around one am, as the little clock on the night table told you, with your body hurting and your heart hurting even more. you wanted to be held, to be protected, you wanted to be taken care of.

“mingi”, you whimpered, hoping he’d wake up, “mingi, mingi.”

he shuffled, though you couldn’t tell if he was awake or not, so you continued whimpering, until you felt him sit up, and shortly after you heard his panicked voice.

“what’s wrong? what’s wrong, what’s wrong, are you okay?”

he sounded so scared that you felt bad, whimpering even more because everything was horrible and everything hurt.

“y/n, are you okay? do we need to go to the hospital?”, and although you couldn’t see him he was scanning your body - or, as much of it as he could see - for burns or any other clear signs of you needing immediate medical attention.

“no, i just… hug me, please”, you pleaded, him immediately complying even though he hadn’t expected this to be what you needed right now, especially not when you flinched in his embrace, but when he loosened his embrace and was about to move back you grabbed his hand, whimpering again, not wanting him to let go even if it hurt.

“is it okay? i don’t want to hurt you”, he told you with a soft voice, but he moved back closer towards you, trying hard to not move you as he came to lay as close as possible to you, one arm around you and the other above his head so that that one wouldn’t hurt you.

“don’t go”, you cried, his hold around you tightening slightly in reaction.

“i won’t go. i’ll take care of you, angel, i’ll take care of you”, he repeated against you, over and over, and you fell asleep to his promise.

Basically a review of OP episode 503 ig

Currently rewatching post-war arc (in the dub so I don't have any screenshots for u guys sry) and theres a few things id like to point out.

During a conversation Dadan once had with Garp, they were talking about Roger. Garp said that even if they were facing powerful enemies, he would never run away because he wouldnt dare leaving his comrads behind; it wasnt an option for him. Obviously we see this in Ace. But ALSO, isnt this what he did with Katakuri? It was a little different cuz of the setting mostly, but he separated himself from his crew to fight off katakuri, and lied to them about being okay so they didn't worry (he was already getting his ass kicked by then, so he just made that stupid smile and told them not to worry (or smth like that, I can remember the exact line) (that smile was so gross and fake cuz he fucking sucks at lying). Also he said roger destroyed a buncha soldiers cuz they mouthed off his men. That's what Ace tried to do but instead he died. :(

"The pain he went through just made him hold on tighter to the ones he loved" -Garp, about Roger. "Despite his flaws and his bad reputation, his crew still trusted him completely." -also Garp, about Roger. These both sound a lot like Luffy AND Ace.

When Dogra got home and told everyone about Sabo's ship being shit down and him dying (which we all know didnt happen, thank fuck), (by the way the absolutely lost looks on Ace's and Luffy's faces with the sudden silence hurt like a bitch), Luffy started crying and said "WE SHOULDNT'A LET HIM GO, IT'S ALL OUR FAULT". Which fucking says something about him (thinking of episodes 913-915 when he goes fucking berserk, but before that he learns that Kaido probably killed Tama and he says "I should've escorted them..!" (*ugly cries*)). Ace also reacted pretty similarly-- "Sabo...why didn't we go back into town and bring him back here?! We're so stupid!" And he gets mad and asks where he could find the bastard that killed him (obviously not getting a good answer since it was a fucking celestial dragon ugh). That is what Luffy does, in present time. He results to anger first, not sadness. Not sure when he learned to do that but I'm 99 percent sure it was from Ace. Also the blaming himself thing? High chance thats ALSO from Ace. Who else would teach him that self hating behaviour?!

Dadan pins Ace down to stop him from going after the Celestial Dragon to calm him down, telling him he cant do anything, he's not big or strong enough to do anything and he'll be killed as soon as he tries anything, especially since it was the whole country -the whole WORLD- that killed Sabo. He can't do anything. And then they tied him to a tree outside to let him cool off. Oh yeah then he also told luffy to stop crying like a little girl or else he'll- (and he didn't finish the sentence). ...Ok maybe thats why luffy started being more angry than sad.

This is where things get a little more :( . Ace reads the letter Sabo sent them before he died. As he reads, he walks to the end of the forest, to a cliff overlooking the ocean. And starts fucking bawling (btw the voice actor who had Ace's childhood part did not do a very good job, no where near as in character and real as Coleen Clickenberg did with all of Luffy's crying scenes. She was spot on.) ...do you see where im going with that? He isolated himself before letting himself feel sad. It was all rage and then calm beforehand. Y-you see where im going with that. Dont make me say it.

"How's Luffy doing, is he any better?" "Well...he hasnt been eating much, but he still eats twice as much as we do". Oh look, That's what happened after Ace died too. There's a behavioral pattern that hasnt gone away. Not sure why it wouldve tho.

Luffy is mopeing, lying on the ground in a similar setting ace was at when he cried. Hes thinking about some of the things Sabo said, like how theyre gonna sail the seas together, and he clenches his hands into tight, shaking fists. After Ace shows up and hits him, and talking abt some other stuff I don't feel like relaying, Luffy tightens his grip on the straw hat and tells ace, whimpering, he wants to get stronger (and stronger, and stronger, and stronger and stronger and....) And he wants to be the strongest in the world. "And then, I'll protect everyone. I won't lose anyone I care about". He gets stronger mainly to protect the people he loves. And then he asks ace to promise he won't die. To which he hits Luffy again and tells him he should be more worried about himself dying first. And then the famous line that hurts like a bitch- "I'm NEVER going to DIE!" And then this hopeful music comes on (fucking damnit funimation, u gotta do this? Really??) Also he says he wont die as long as he has a wussy little brother to protect. ...FUCK. Ok, the fist clenching is a thing he does all the fucking time, usually when he gets mad. This was different because he wasnt mad, he was sad. He clenched his fist because thinking about it hurt. Which, huh, sounds a lot like his whole episode after waking up from his 2 week coma on the polar tang. To try and stop the mental pain of those horrendous memories, he resulted to physically pain. He hurt himself. So, He clenches his fists in times like these to fight off the mental pain and the urge to cause himself physical pain. Guys, our boy is bad at emotions, help him. ....ok this paragraph is longer than I anticipated so ill dumb down the rest of it ig. Next part, him asking ace to promise he wont die. The music, the body language, the over change in mood- this comforts him. He stopped hiding his face and silently sobbing after ace said this. OH YEAH! didn't he tell jinbe not to die when they parted ways in Totto Land? And then, hes missing still in Wano and we see Luffy is worried....but convinced Jinbe will show up. Again, this comforts him. Hes nervous cuz someone KOFF KOFF ACE broke that promise once. But jinbe is his crew mate so he trusts him, thank god.

"-But whoever did it, they must be opposed to freedom." The whole freedom thing? That runs through Luffy's blood and spirit.His brothers fought for it, his dad is the man who strives to give everyone freedom basically, and Luffy himself has seen enough of the OPPOSITE of freedom to be so, so much more than just against it. Hence why he of course was so eager to free the slaves in Sabaody, the kids in punk hazard, the toys in dressrosa, the country of Wano from Kaido's tyrany. The apple doesnt fall far from the tree huh.

I dont think Luffy would remember his promise with Shanks if it werent for his brothers putting feul to his dream. It was a stupid bet at first; he just wanted to beat Shanks, right then. But after meeting Sabo and Ace, he found the opposite of freedom and human rights. And then he wanted, REALLY wanted, to become the free-est man in the world; the pirate king.

Last one i promise ok? This one is less connected to whats going on in the episode at this point, but something I noticed (its so obvious everyone has seen this ok) was when luffy cries, his posture is always open. He doesn't curl in on himself like many people would do (I know I would, lol). He doesnt hug himself, protect himself. He's just, opened up to whoever is watching, literally. This has a little more to do with something I haven't talked about much in this post yet; his self-destruction issues. I said he tried to hurt himself when he felt mental pain, which is definitely similar. But he cries and doesnt try to protect or comfort himself, like he doesn't have that programmed into his mind. Reminder that he only wants to live because of his dream, and if he doesnt have his dream, he wants to die. (Whoa.). Ok, so no self preservation mechanism at all rlly. Hes basically ride or die. So, when things hurt so much that he cries, he has no hope left. He just kinda...dies inside. So this was mildly different after sabo died. Yes we saw him just standing there, sobbing. But the next day he's still crying, and instead he's laying on the ground. I saw that and the voice in the back of my head told me he wanted to be a part of that lifeless dirt beneath him. Then, Ace walked over. And his words made him feel the hope that I told you about earlier, and he sat up into a sitting position. And HUGGED HIS LEGS TO HIS CHEST. There's some self preservation! Some hope! Some will to exist, to live! Something we saw none of as he sat in front of his brothers corpse, shutting down. He sat there, open to his enemies, incapable of protecting himself. Practically anyone couldve killed him right then and there. I think he mightve liked that, at that moment. Like thank god he has that stupidly good luck cuz if he didn't I swear someone couldve thrown and axe or FUCKING ANYTHING AT THAT MOMENT and hed be dead becuase he never physically or mentally prepared himself. On purpose.

Our poor boy needs some fucking attention and therapists. (Insert my rant post about how jinbe is on the crew primarily for anger management and therapy, not just being a helmsman.) Ugh, smh ugly cries

Aaaaand thats about the end of the episode. Theres so many little tics and peesonality traits that you notive thru this episode, and I only noticed them cuz im rewatching this part of the show for like the third time. I don't react as much as the first time of course but some things are definitely sadder after knowing what's going on and what will happen later on.

Moral of the story (post)? I think luffy is almost equally as alike -if not, more similar to roger as ace is. Also, high key genuinely think Luffy met like NO ONE but Garp before he met Shanks and his crew. What the fuck was his first like 5 years of being alive like? (He wantd to be a pirate cuz Garp didnt want that. Rebellious baby asshole. And then shanks made things worse, in a good way for luffy. And then ace and sabo made that worse thing worse for a good reason. Luffy lives...for those influences. And that is fucking it. Why.

*fan made of course! I own nothing. I have listened to the soundtrack over a dozen times, but have not YET seen the musical live. So I may be off on some of the visual stuff a bit.

*Eurydice sits by the wall with a little girl sitting aside her. The area where she sits is filled with green grass and flowers. Eurydice holds a guitar and smiles at the young child. The child had short black hair and pale skin.*

I been traveling around the world and playing my song everywhere I go. I hitched a few rides on the trains for awhile. Then word spread of my song and people were inviting me to there towns to sing! They even been paying me! You should see the places I have seen: Paris, France, England! My music has brought such happiness to people. I have met people from all walks of life, rich, poor and everything in between. My song didn’t just have the power to bring back spring, it’s brought hope and done so much more!

I wish you were here to enjoy this with me and I wish I could hold you in my arms again. I love you so much and even with all that’s going right for me. Your really the only thing I keep thinking of. I miss you everyday and it becomes harder and harder to be without you. I been trying to keep positive, but knowing your in such a depressing place just breaks my heart further.

Orpheus: I know but I thought if I kept sending her the letters it would help her remember me. She can’t forget me! She can’t become like the others! I won’t let her! It’s my fault she’s still there, I couldn’t save her.

The fates: Things will unfold the way they are meant to regardless if you like it or not. Your fate have been set in stone from the moment you both were born. You were never meant to save her.

Orpheus: No your wrong! I can save her memories! I can at least do that! Has she forgetten everything?

The fates: not everything.

*Orpheus spots Persephone in the window of a tarvern. He runs toward it and goes in.*

*hermes walks up to the fates*

Hermes: Orpheus is a poor young boy. Why must this be his fate?

*Orpheus runs up to Persephone.*

Persephone: Hey look who it is! Orpheus! *She is clearly drunk. She hugs him with one arm and takes a sip of beer with the other one. She then looks to the crowd of drunk men and woman surrounding her* Why don’t you play your song for these guys? I heard you performing outside, its still as beautiful as I remember.

Orpheus: Persephone, I need your help!

Persephone: I can’t help you get to her, if I could I would. Ever since you came, Hades had that wall built bigger and more sturdy. Nobody can get in or out.

Orpheus: Is it true she forgotten me?

Persephone: *laughs* Of course not! How could she with that baby at her side. It’s certainly a constant reminder of you?

Orpheus: A baby? What are you talking about?

Persephone: Well I guess she isn’t really a baby anymore, she’s almost four years old now.

Orpheus: Eurydice wasn’t pregnant....she wasn’t...she-she would have told me...She would have said something!

Persephone: *she takes another sip of her drink.*

*orpheus takes the drink from her hand*

Orpheus: Tell me the truth!

Persephone: *she puts a hand on his shoulder and they move away from the crowd and go outside.* I’m sorry, I thought you knew. I thought she would have told you.

Orpheus: what happened?

Persephone: Normally the fates inform Hades when a woman dies who was pregnant. Hades didn’t want children in Hadestown, he didn’t put children through the torment of Hadestown. Plus children bring problems. He doesn’t offer the deal to expecting mothers. With Eurydice the fates made a mistake, they told him she was not expecting and Eurydice didn’t know she was pregnant. Hades was furious, when he found out, he created a eruption and killed a whole city of Pompeii. Everyone town was amazed and in awe of the situation. It was a miracle! The workers began talking to each other, buzzing over the coming arrival. When it was the day of the birth, everyone gathered in astonishment, even some of the gods of Olympus came! The stood over the child’s bed, in disbelief. Oh she was beautiful! The most gorgeous thing I have ever seen! A little girl, so small, so pure and fragile...and her smile brought happiness to all that saw her. The workers played with her and protected her as if she were there own. She gave them purpose, something to care for. once She had rammed into Hades while playing and he just started yelling. ...but the most amazing thing the workers all stopped working and then stood up to hades. She’s changing our world, she’s doing what you couldn’t. Isn’t that great? While you help people here, she helps them down there.

Orpheus: She sounds amazing. But all this over a child that isn’t even theres? Why?

Persephone: She sees the good in everything and everyone. She finds happiness in the darkest, most miserable place in the world. She gives them hope.

Orpheus: what’s her name?

Persephone: Pentha.

Orpheus: *frowns* we always dreamed of having a family together...we had our whole lives planned out. I would bring back spring and then everything would be perfect. We would get married and travel the world. .... are they happy? Eurydice and Pentha?

Persephone: I think so. Orpheus, you have something that all those people in Hadestown would kill for. You get to live and you could live a full and happy life if you would let yourself.

Orpheus: I can’t...Not without her. I have tried, I have! Nothing is the same without her.

Persephone: Well what she wants more than anything is you to be happy and for you to move on. You know, you have a great gift! not just your song, but your heart and your courage. You can do great things if you let yourself.

Orpheus: I can’t, she’s always on my mind and in my heart. Now knowing that she had my kid, how could I move on? She can’t. Pentha doesn’t have a father. She deserves to have a dad like any kid does. To have two parents who love her and watch out for her. She -

Persephone: Orpheus-

Orpheus: My dad wasn’t there for me and I hated him for it. I promised myself I would never abandon my kid! She’s gonna grow up never knowing me!

Persephone: it’s not the same, it isn’t your fault.

Orpheus: IT IS MY FAULT! I COULDNT SAVE HER!! I didn’t trust that she would be behind me and I looked and she was.

*orpheus cries*

*persephone hugs him*

Persephone: Anyone in your place would have done the same thing, Hades knew that.

*the scene changes Orpheus sits alone in a bedroom. He takes a knife from under his mattress and stabs himslef in the heart.*

*Orpheus sees the railroad station to Hadestown. When he gets off the train he sees Eurydice working along with the others on the wall.*

Orpheus: Eurydice!

*she looks up and sees him*

Eurydice: *with tears in her eyes* Orpheus.

*He runs to her with tears in his eyes and hugs her then kisses her lips*

Eurydice: are you-?

Orpheus: yes.

Eurydice: h-how?

Orpheus: ....I couldn’t live without you.

*Eurydice hugs him as she cried.*

Eurydice: Im sorry!

Orpheus: I’m not, *he grins hugely* I’m here with you. Oh I missed you so much! *he kisses her again*

Orpheus: you are my biggest dream and spend eternity here with you is more than I could ever want.

*a playground ball rolls by Eurydice and Orpheus. Pentha runs over to get it. As she picks up the ball she looks up at the strange man holding her mother in his arms.*

Orpheus: I know about Pentha, persephone told me.

Eurydice: Pentha, this is your dad.

What other issues do you have with the warriors redux? I'm curious to hear

this is going to be one of the last things i answer abt the redux and then im Done but here’s some issues i find myself having w/ it:

the concept of introducing toms who want to kill kits/having queens eat/kill kittens be a subplot. i get that “natural cat behaviors” but i personally feel like that really….doesnt have a place in wc, i know this is absolutely personal but i just. do not. also i feel like w/ the structure of the clans - queens adopting other kits as their own, helping them nurse kittens, toms being around kits all the time and helping mentor them - thats a behavior that,,, wouldnt really work??

the subtle transphobia and disregard for criticism abt transphobia, its not even JUST abt the transphobia [thats obviously a huge fuckin problem tho], its the fact that it seems like the writer doesnt. really want to listen to what trans fans have told them/have said “well thats just tumblr being tumblr” and doesnt really seem to grasp that transitioning is not!!!! the only thing abt being trans!!!!!!!

FRIDGING SANDSTORM

that was fridging no matter what anyone says, killing off a major female character to give a man angst [in this case dustpelt] is….fridging….and really fuckin gross. the fact that this happened in the same book silverstream died was also really gross bc two fridged mollies? one completely unnecessary and the other debatably unnecessary?? c’mon thats not cool

i dont think that the fans of it grasp that including lgbt characters doesnt NEED to be a whole page worth of dialogue. ravenpaw & tallstar are both canonically gay and you dont NEED to have a whole page talking abt it - why can’t ravenpaw enjoy the presence of other toms, groom them, and even cuddle w/ them like how straight couples do?? why cant there just be hints of him being gay without making it a huge romantic gesture [im not saying that this is the best route but its at least an ATTEMPT]??? i know the writer doesnt want romance and thats their choice but you dont NEED romantic pairings in order to show a gay cat, ravenpaw can literally just be curled up w/ graystripe or fireheart and talk abt how much he likes toms and that would be. it.

the gendered naming, esp bc they use the traditional naming system and the person who made the traditional naming blog on here/basically made it mainstream actually really hates gendered naming and doesnt think that it makes sense for warriors

this hasnt yet been written so im not sure if this is where they’re going w/ it but i feel like killing off sandstorm and [rumoredly/kind of confirmed] making mousefur the mother of leafkit & squirrelkit is…weird. even if theres no romance thats jsut. a really uncomfy pairing imo? again this might not be true so dont take this oen too seriously

none of this would be as huge of an issue if the writer didnt just say that all criticisms on this list are “just political” or “just tumblr being tumblr!!” when the writer doesnt even really take the time to ask “okay, you’re saying that my world building is transphobic - how do i make it not so? what am i doing specifically thats upsetting my trans readers?? how do i include representation?? is my world building in line w/ the series, is this a respectful tribute?”

i get a lot of ppl dogpile on them, but when you have so many lgbt fans talking abt how uncomfortable it makes them and how they dont feel liek they’re being heard, its an issue. and the whole “well is THEIR WRITING-” is a Bad Excuse bc i guess representing ppl who are misrepresented is bad now??? like….it takes a minute to be a good ally and listen to your marginalized fans who would like to be respected/would like a straight answer abt these things, i dont get why “its my writing and this is how it is” is seen as a good excuse when it’s your duty as a writer to make sure you’re being respectful and that you’re able to listen to criticisms and actually take into account when you’re being harmful or saying harmful things. like i dont want them to not write or anything and i hope no one takes this as that, i really just want them to listen and to understand that maybe some changes might be necessary here and there.

I used to have more but i gave some of them away so i dont feel like i should mention them here (even if those designs are not in use anymore)

1) Saph the hedgehog

This is Saph. He’s a 18/19 year old disaster gay trans boy.

I change his shoe design literally every single time i draw him. :)

I’ll go in depth about his past later.

Saph is pretty much all over the place and forgets to be considerate of other peoples feelings sometimes. He might come off as very egoistic of self centered, but he does actually care in his own kind of way (even when its. kinda bad bc he gives off wrong signals sometimes and ends up hurting people hes close to)

He’s looked up to Sonic ever since he was small and he collects all of the Sonic comics and video games. His dream is to meet Sonic and win against him in a fight.

Shadow is his big idol in many things so he tries to be edgy sometimes or act tough but he fails miserably most of the time and makes a fool of himself; which he doesn’t really mind because he can take a lot of things with humour (sometimes too much). He also uses white eye liner to imitate shadows marks, and he dyes some parts of his fur white to make the marks he already has extend to look more like shadows.

Shadow was the person that taught him how to control his chaos powers, because he’d always just weakened himself in the past, because he is super unstable. (If it wasnt for Shadow he probably would have died by now.) Shadow also was the one that told Saph to go to Tails for help with the buckles on his wrists and the rings on his ankles. They are made of a material similar to shadows rings (tails tried his best to replicate them) so they would help keep the energy in Saph balanced. Due to his strong affiliation to Chaos Energy, he could technically even turn super; but his body would be unable to hold the immense amount of energy and begin to literally burn down to ash within a few minutes.

He is very gay and in a relationship with Ezra.

He’s on T and has not yet had top op. (his bobbies smol its all muscle >:3€ )

2) Red the hedgehog

Red is 25/26 years old and works at GUN as special agent. Sometimes he and Rouge get drunk in her club at night and joke about tearing that organization down (or maybe they are not joking)

he’s pansexual and horny 24/7. He has a girlfriend and is in an open relationship. hes polyam if you didnt guess it askdsajh

he’s blind in the right eye and has a tattoo of a star on his chest

(here’s his gijinka because i just. hes hot. he used to be the one character that had like 30 fangirls on deviantart and each of them would comment “nosebleed” every time i uploaded)

ANYWAYS

Saph and Red. They are brothers.

*WARNING: abusive parents, transphobia, homophobia, violence

When red was a young lad and Saph was still a baby their father snapped and beat Red up with an iron bar, making him blind on his right eye. Red took Saph and ran away from home.(Their mother died at saphs birth)

They lived and still live in a city a litte farther off Empire City.

Red decided to go to an orphanage because he could not possibly take care of an infant. (granted his dad couldnt either but it seemed the best possible solution)

They lived in the orphanage for a few years, but saph very soon showed sighns of being trans and got bullied by the other kids. they would call him gay and tr*nny and kick him until he fell silent to endure his “punishment”.

Red couldn’t take it and decided to run away with Saph again. They lived on the street for a while, but Red was caught by GUN for stealing. Once they found out he had a form of chaos powers (even if weak) they decided to let him slide and hire him as Special Agent.

Red accepted this and uses the money he ears to make sure Saph has a good life. This kinda spoiled Saph a little, but he also deserved it lets be real here.

Red made sure to enable saph to get education (which he totally refuses to acknowledge and take seriously) and physical transition.

3) Ellectra “Ellie” the tenrec

[ pardon me being inconsequent with the design omg ]

Ellie is a 20 year old functional asexual demiromantic lesbian who is not interested in dumb boys and would rather talk about science with a pretty girl.

She can manipulate electricity and is called “Daughter of Zeus” by the townsfolk in her home island called Coral Island, which is located near the windsmil isles in Apotos.

She studies archeology and gaia mythology/ancient history, which makes it very convenient that she lives nearby an actual gaia temple. (She wants to be like lara croft one day)

At the 2005 black arms invasion her mother got heavily wounded when she tried to protect the town from the aliens and died from the aftermath.

Ever since then Ellie hates Shadow with a burning passion and holds him responsible, because she believed the government propaganda (provided by GUN ofc) that Shadow is One Of The Aliens. If she was ever to meet him she would be FURIOUS and ready to murder (she knows he cant die though).

She tried not to focus too much on that and just. do her cool ancient stuff.

Here are her parents Chion and... the mother i had still not found a good name for.

5) Chion the tenrec

This gentleman is 40+ years old and proud father of Ellie.

Hes also a het ace.

Chion is greek for snow (as far as google translate goes) and he was named that bc of his white nose lmao. its like a snowflake on his black body.

He doesn’t have any elemental powers, but he is naturally very strong and will punch anyone who comes close to his family. He can also use swords and is a skilled swordsman.

He inherited an olive farm from his family and he does keep it going. He makes his money selling olive products he does make himself.

6) Athena the hedgehog

Athena was the daughter of the “major” of the island that the family lived on (coral island), so she was expected to become the new major once he had to retire.

Due to the location of the island and the geographical landmarks on it, many raiders (and also eggman) have great interest in the ruins and mythological places. Athena is not one to give in easily and defended her people and the island from many intruders.

She possessed a less particular (than Ellie), but still fierce power of lightning manipulation. Having used her powers excessively, she sustained severe damage to her arms which showed as lighting shaped scars. She showed them with pride, because they meant she had fought hard to get where she was now.

She was bisexual and married to a tenrec called Chion. She was a year older than him.

The rings Ellie wears on her wrists were her mom’s.

7) Frost the snow leopard

Frost is a 15 year old demiboy who really just wants to have a good time. He hasnt really given his sexuality much thought.

He lives in a small village in Holoska; hes actually even met the werehog. Well he saw him. but he was too afraid to talk to him because holy shit its Sonic The Hedgehog!!!!!!!

He has ice powers!!!!

His insides are like -18°C and he cant eat anything that is hot. He has to eat cooked meals when they are room temperature, or even cooled down to fridge temperatures ( about 6°C).

He basically lives off ice cream and dry meat (if they get fancy food from the city he gets frozen pizza) He thinks of going to the UF for college, but he doesnt really know what he wants to do with his life yet so hes just having fun snowboarding.

8) Mitzu the Cheetah

Mitzu is 22 years old and owns a flower shop/chao garden combo where she takes care of chao, while taking care of flowers and breeding them. Her hydrokinesis powers are very helpful in that!

She loves nature and the outdoors and feeling the grass under her feet, so she doesn’t wear shoes/socks. Ever.

She generally is very free spirited and optimistic!

Shes a big sapphic but shes also okay w being single atm.

Her chao are like children to her and she loves the chao that get left in the garden as much as her own. (ppl leave their chao there when they cant watch over them anymore or if they go for a vacation and cant take them with them or smth)

9) Dan the red panda*

Dan is 17 years old and a big homo.

He has no special powers, except being able to eat and sleep more than the average person.

He’s from a very rich family, but his parents insisted in him finding a wife to like. pass down the heritage but he aint having none of that so his punk ass ran away from home to be his gay self and study art. 

He lives in a tree house a little off a small village in a more rural area in east UF, near station square. let the depression boy be happy...

10) Yoshi the siamese cat

Yoshi is a 20 year old enby kitty who wants to make the world a gayer place!

They are studying fashion design in hope to one day open their own fashion store for queer people! The clothes are made with body differences in mind and they also want to offer a free customization service to fit clothes to every single body type.

They don’t have any special powers as of now but i kinda want to give them a power that could be helpful with their goal Im still thinking about it ...

11) Joel “Spirit” the Husky

Spirit is fresh ripe 14 years old and Sonic the hedgehog is his big big idol. He wants to be JUST like him when he grows up.

It has come to my attention that he is basically the sonic universe Deku and I may or may not be planning to write a fanfiction for that...........

He doesn’t have any special offensive powers, but he has orange blood and he has the ability to read the Chaos Signature of anything he encounters. (called: Chaos Vision)

This means he will immediately know if a person he meets has super powers and he will also know what that power is. He can also guess the emotions of people because they are tied to the kind of chaos energy that surrounds a person.

12) Aurora the Husky

Spirit’s Sister!

Her name is Aurora and she also has Chaos Vision!

She was born blind, but she’s been able to see with her power, so that’s just what the world looks like to her: Darkness with many many colorful lights.

Over time through hard training she was able to perfect her vision and be able to distinguish between a lot of things and even see things that only have very little chaos energy in them!

13) Axel the Axolotl*

I don’t really have much info on them I made them pretty random one day bc i thought. hey. .... what if... axolotl sonic character.

14) Azul the cat

Azul is my sonicsona kinda. He was pmuch my persona b4 i was kin w shadow. 

He’s an edgelord and i guess he’s still technically me; or rather what i want to be. 

He’s already on T and has has top op and he does not crumble away under social anxiety like i do askjdsakjd.

15) ( UNKNWOWN) the Pangolin*

Similar to Axel I didn’t think much about him yet......  

he’s aroace and kinda goofy but he cares for his friends. He can roll up and do spin dashes and homing attacks like sonic, but he obviously doesnt have his super sonic speed.

16) Coal the hedgehog

Coal is one of the newest of my characters; but he’s also one of my oldest. 

You see, Coal is a revamp of a very old crappy fanchild i had back in like 2012.

New Coal is 27 years old and a gay mess. He can turn into a cloud of smoke and control it at will. He is completely immune to physical attacks. try to stab/shoot him and u ded. hes coming for u.

he steals, but only from rich ppl. hes chaotic neutral tho bc he keeps that shit for himself safhsaljfha he generally just wants to chill and have his peace. 

he loves being an edge lord though he just wants that image for himself, even though he is kinda a softie... hes good at keeping up an act in dangerous situations though and that sometimes scares attackers off (also his powers)

Nia is the daughter of a shamaran professor and a woman who owns a boulongerie in spagonia. She joined the ARK program in hope to make the world a more accepting place.

Hikari is is from an island near chun-nan (japan) and she also joined the program in hope to be able to help make a change for the better. she also enjoys biology and genetics a lot.

Theodor joined purely because of his joy in working on genetics and robotics that immitate life. He’s innitially from the GUN team but was assigned to work with Gerald.

He’s kinda mad with power and genuinely believes that putting shadow under pressure to become the ultimate and strongest weapon (stronger than an atomic bomb) was necessary to end the war that was going on at that time.

21) Sidus “Nova” the black panther (and 22 Badass the Chao)

You see. The thing with nova is that i recycled him as human/demon character for a story sjkhfkafhsakj but he has shadow powers where he can use all shadows as portals into a shadow dimension that is entirely his own. he can travel through that but it makes him very tired. he likes to store capri suns in there and just take em out whenever he wants. He has a Chao called Badass (pictured below)

6 months ago Thanos came to earth and brought destruction with him. 6 months ago, someone else came down with him. 6 months ago, you made a deal to save the life of Peter Parker.

6 months ago, he went missing.

You’ve kept what you did a secret. You cried with May, gave the police tons of statements that included almost the whole truth, mourned with Ned and Michelle.

Because while you’re the reason Peter isn’t dead, you’re the reason he’s gone. Somehow, someway, you missed the fine-print on the contract you never saw, and it gave the woman who took him the power to take him away.

He’s alive. You know he is. But you can’t tell anyone how you know.

It’s been six months. And the guilt is eating at you. Maybe, if you told someone, they could find him. Maybe there’s something they could do. Maybe is a lot better than the nothing that’s happening right now.

It is that which brings you to the Avengers building tonight, tapping your feet anxiously as you wait for the elevator to let you out.

One night a week, everyone gathers to watch some movie that takes them ages to agree on. You used to come with Peter, but after the battle, and after he disappeared, you stopped coming to the complex at all.

You haven’t been back here since.

Once you’re past all the guards and safety precautions, you make your way to the living room, where Tony, Bucky, Steve, Natasha, Clint, Bruce, Vision, and Wanda are sitting on various couches, chairs, and pillows on the floor. Even Thor has a spot made up on the carpet, taking up the most space out of everyone.

You hesitate near the door, half a mind to turn back the way you came. Before you can, you’re spotted, and Natasha pauses the movie.

“Y/N? Is everything alright?” She asks, going still, already preparing for bad news. Your arrival is definitely unexpected, hence the negative reaction.

Someone flips the lights on, and all eyes are on you.

Your cheeks flush, and you let your gaze slide over everyone, before settling on the safest face: Wanda.

“I-I have something to tell you. About Peter.”

“Did they find him?” Tony asks, unmasked hope thick in his voice.

You shake your head, brows furrowing.

“No. But I know why he’s gone.”

Steve looks around the room, standing up.

“I think we should move this to the conference room.” He says.

Minutes later, everyone but you is settled down in seats around the long table. Your heart thrums in your chest, and you swallow the frog in your throat.

“What do you know about Peter, Y/N?” Natasha asks.

You take a breath.

“I made a deal the day Thanos came to New York.”

THEN

You were the only person in your apartment, probably one of the only people in the building. The mandatory evacuation had gone into place last night, but Thanos came early, and you don’t know if everyone made it out.

Your family was gone, visiting friends on the west coast, all orchestrated by Tony Stark who snapped a finger and made the flights cheaper for them.

Ned and Michelle were gone, as far as you knew. Peter warned them a few days before, sending them up north.

May refused to leave the city. As did you.

Now, as the battle smashed through the city, you found yourself regretting that decision. But only slightly.

You heard a scream bellow from the street below, and you ran for your window, pushing it open.

Waltzing down the street, as if making her way down a run way, was a woman. Everything about her was light, including the wings on her back, and if it weren’t for the blood splattered across her body, you’d think she was an angel.

But as she flicked a finger and broke spines, you knew she was something very different.

Everything inside of you screamed. You promised Peter that you would stay inside and stay safe, you swore on it.

Then you saw that flash of red hit the brick and everything fell away.

Spiderman-Peter-scrambled to his feet down on the street, obviously hurt. Peter.

The boy you loved was hurt, and though you had absolutely no training or superpowers or even weapons, you ran for the door, flying down the stairs and out into the street.

Your feet slammed against the concrete as you pushed into the street, jumping over and skirting around rubble and bodies and fire.

The woman came to a stop a few steps away.

And you panicked. You had no way to stop her, no way to fight her, but you couldn’t let her kill him. You couldn’t let her kill Peter.

So you screamed. The stop burst through your lips and filled the streets; panicked and desperate and broken.

The woman listened, the sword she carried digging into Peter’s chest where he lay sprawled on the asphalt, bleeding and in a daze.

She turned to face you slowly, something curious coming over her face. She flicked a finger your way, and you walked toward her, though you knew doing so would get you killed.

“You know this Spider-man.” She said, tilting her head slightly. You were struck by the viciousness of her beauty; she was ice and sleet and you feared you’d cut yourself open if you touched her.

“I know the boy beneath the suit.” You said, voice shaking. You swallowed the fear that had taken over your whole body, resisting the urge to run.

You reminded yourself that Peter was on the ground. If you could just keep her busy long enough for him to get away, you’d have been successful. Even if you died.

The woman, full attention on you, stepped closer until you were a few feet apart. She studied you up and down, and you took the pause as an opportunity to look at Peter. You couldn’t see his face through the mask, but he was looking at you, trying to get to his feet.

When the woman’s eyes were on your bare feet you mouthed the word run.

But he didn’t.

He stumbled towards the woman, and your stomach sank.

The woman noticed, watching him amble towards her, amused. Her grip on her sword tightened, and she was about to turn when you spoke.

“Please. Please, don’t kill him. I’ll do anything. Kill me instead.”

Her lips pulled into a thin smile, and she reached back as Peter reached her, shoving. He flew back into the rubble; alive, but unable to do anything but struggle amongst the rock.

“You would give yourself up for this boy. Why?” She asked, attention solidly on you.

You hesitated, unsure why her line of questioning was happening, knowing it couldn’t be good.

“I love him.” You said finally.

“And what of him? Does he share this devotion?”

You looked over at Peter, then back at the woman.

“Yes. He does.”

The woman smiled, lifting her sword until the tip rested against your throat. Peter let out a strangled yell behind you, but you didn’t break your gaze from the woman’s. Her smile widened at the noise.

The skin broke beneath the blade; you held your breath.

“I believe we can work something out.”

She dropped the sword, taking a step back.

“S-something?” You asked.

“I’m offering you a deal. For the boy’s life.”

“Wh-what? A deal?“

“Listen, little one.” She snapped. You shut your mouth, nodding. She tossed her already-perfect hair back and tucked her sword into its sheath.

“I will spare the boys life. But I will take something away. Something important.” She said.

You shook your head. “No. You can’t kill anyone. I’m not-“

“No one will die. Not by my hand, nor by my orchestration.”

“What will you take?”

“It ruins the surprise if I tell you, now, doesn’t it?” She asked, tilting her head.

Your gaze flicked toward Peter, about to die in the rubble.  

If you didn’t do this, he would die. You would die.

But if you gave something up, you'd live. You could still have the future you wanted, the life you had. It was as simple and as complicated as that.

“Okay.”

The woman pulled a small knife from her waistband and grabbed your hand in her cold fingers. She flipped your palm, and pulled the knife along your skin. Blood bubbled up, and fire lit along your hand, but you didn’t so much as whimper.

“Make the vow.” She ordered.

You’d never heard the word before, but suddenly it was in your head, on your lips.

“Sacramentum.” You said.

Then the world went black.

I Need to Say This About Dean’s Speech to Mary

I was beyond floored with 12x22 Who We Are. My tears started early and didnt let up til the next episode. However I need to speak about Dean’s speech to Mary as a Sam girl. I love Dean, and with the first “I hate you” my heart started tearing. When Dean started on blaming Mary for his life, some people felt it was irresponsible for him to blame it all on her, and even immature that he hasnt gotten past it yet. I don’t. I know he has had all this on his mind his whole life and still had to have it churning around in there even when he was thrilled she was back. He had every right to tell her what he did and painful or not, Im happy he got it off his chest, yes it was harsh, and I could feel how bad it stung for Mary but, it needed to be said and heard.  What stands out to me most though, is that even though he stated that it wasnt fair that all the responsibility for taking care of Sam was on him, he had to be both a father and mother to him, that he admitted he couldn’t do it, and then I thought he would go on about what it did to him, which he would be totally right in doing, instead, he went on what it did to Sam. He broke down and spoke for Sam! Sam lost a girl he loves, got possessed by Lucifer, tortured in Hell, and lost his soul!! Now consider this for a minute, Dean had every opportunity to tell her what it did to HIM. How because she let Azazel in, he ended up selling his soul for Sam, was tortured in Hell, broke the first seal of the Apocolypse, lost Sam for a year and a half, lost a little family he loved, died and made a deal to get Sam’s soul back, eventually became a demon and a violent killer before having a hand in bringing the darkness into the world... He COULD have but he didnt. He hurt for Sam, and also, he didnt mention how Sam got addicted to demon blood or Ruby, or didnt look for him in Purgatory, or anything he had considered Sam’s failures. He only told her about Sam’s pain! He hated her for Sam’s pain, not his own, and this is extremely important! To me it is anyway. Im not the average Sam girl that blames Dean for everything, and lets Sam get off scott free of everything. Not at all. I love both their qualities, dislike their flaws, but I accept them and still love them.  Dean’s life time of pain, was coming from Sam’s life time of pain and this hurt my soul as well as replenished it. Dean may talk sometimes like its all about him, but now I know, for him, it’s really all about Sam.  Now, some of you might be bitter that he spoke for Sam and Sam wasnt (or hasnt yet) given a voice about the pain their mother’s deal caused him. Why give it to Dean to say? I got my answer at the end of the episode. It was a tense moment there, when Mary said “But Im scared... about Sam. What if he can’t forgive me?” and Sam entered the room “Mom-” I thought , omg whats he gonna say? is it gonna be “what did you do?” ‘or after what hes been through, just this episode, and including his life, is he going to lay into her too? No.... he  was so loving and forgiving “You dont have to be scared of me”  I am literally in tears as I write this because it was fucking perfect!! Dean told her about Sam’s pain because Sam isnt going to, or doesnt want to.  Sam is so patient, loving and forgiving, all he wants to do is love and be loved back. He doesnt want to fight over the past and things no one can change, he just wants to love his family and thats all. Dean knows this, and he knew Mom needed to know his pain. So as Sam inevitably forgives her, she will appreciate what he’s willing to forgive her for, and what an incredible person he is.  I would have accepted Sam 100% laying into her and sometimes I get frustrated when he doesnt tell (or get to tell) people how theyve hurt him, but this power he has to forgive the biggest wrongs just amazes me. All of you who think he’s a selfish, inconsiderate wimp, can just .... nevermind, I wont go there. Not worth it. but the same goes for you all who think Dean thinks it’s all about him too. I actually had a Spiritual breakthrough over this so this next section is going to get Biblical, so if any of you are offended by such things, I will write it below the cut 

Hello everyone who kept reading, I hope you appreciate my theological thoughts on this. Consider this situation with me in a Biblical/Salvation style  Dean/God, Sam/Jesus Mary/you and I. Please remember this is an analogy, not that I think Sam and Dean are Jesus and God :P God calls us out on what we do wrong, lets you know the damage you’ve done and hates you for it, not so much for himself, but for what Jesus had to go through to save you, but he loves you, you’re his child and he cant help it. Now that you know the damage youve caused, and the pain inflicted on Jesus, maybe you dont feel like you can face him, because maybe he cant forgive you. But Jesus says “You dont have to be scared of me” and they both love and forgive you because you accept the forgiveness and love them back. Also consider how this scene might have been different if Mary didnt care that she hurt Sam, or didnt feel guilty because she didnt know Sam, or if she just kept saying “its not my fault”...  Im sorry to anyone who found that boring, but those of you that were touched by the thought, I hope that consider it, and it makes you smile. I dont expect others to get from this show what I do, but I really enjoy the inspiration it gives me :)

Our real estate agent told us to purchase and insurance policy from Old Republic to cover anything that could be wrong with the house since it was built in the 80's. An inspector looked at the house prior to our purchase and didn't notice anything with the property. Once the house was occupied by our renter, he noticed that the lights would shut off and stay off for a few hours. Old republic sent an electrician over and he told us that the prior owner had replaced a new breaker on top of a broken buster. He reported back to old republic and they stated that the insurance didn't cover anything that was not installed correctly. We were precise to inform our agent of the policy we needed for the house. We were not sure what work the house had done prior to our purchase so that is why we purchased the insurance. The policy we had was Old Republic Home Warranty Plan. That is what our agent advised us to get. Now, what can we legally do to help cover our out of the pocket expense of over a grand. Is there a policy that anyone would recommend for a rental house. Hello, I'm a genuine person, who has had a bad past with motoring, 3 - 4 years ago i was a maniac, a complete ideot who defied everything that was said and told to him( been caught for no insurance and disqual driving and driving without a license x15 times but after relizing what a ideot i was i decided to go the straight and narrow, so i got my license back last august with 6 points on it, they aint due to clear till next year although they are dated 2009?! any way, i own a decent 09 bike, that isnt cheap and i was what i thought fully insured (otherwise i wouldnt have driven and risked loosing my bike) anyways i got pulled over last night for speeding, and it came apparant i wasnt insured :O i rang my girlfriend and got her to produce the paperwork, they couldnt get hold of my insurance company due to they were shut at 10pm at night :S so they decided to seize my bike!:@ they give me a gypsys warning about the speeding, and refered me to court for no insurance no L plates, my arguement is, after going home and checking my bank, i have been driving for 3 months uninsured ( i really had no intention of doing so) i had thought that when my giro money lands into my bank acc swintons took it out the same day so i never defaulted, but this is not the case and i have defaulted. so i have insured my bike immediately after relizing what has happened and im going to get it out the impound in a minute (15 hours later after being seized) but the genuine thing is i've always had a rear L plate till 4 days ago when it snapped and i was waiting on my giro to come to purchase a new one, however i know that is no excuse but its the truth! what can i say to the judge to not get myself banned! the L plates situation is difficult because there like1 to buy but i have 0 pence! and i run my bike of scrap yard petrol ( filtered runs sweet) and i will take full admission to only ever having one L plate on my bike and explain my situation but what can i say or do so i dont get banned!? im really stuck with this one, it really is annoying as i had no intention to drive without insurance?! thanks guys""

Hi and thanks for taking time to help me out. I have bought a BMW 540i (1997) back in January. I was really happy as this was my first car. Two weeks ago, I was driving to France and my gearbox died leaving me only with the first gear working. I went to a garage in France and we phoned the insurance but the insurance said that it cannot guarantee that it would cover me. They offered me to leave the car in France and to go back to London by myself. I refused to consider this option as I could not allow my self to stay in France (I had to go back to work) for more than the week-end and I could not afford to take the train/plane from Paris to London. The insurer said that they would not cover any costs associated with me going back to London. So I had to get the car back to London, and to drive it back home. I went to a garage where a very nice person accepted to take care of the car. He phoned the insurance and arranged everything. The insurer sent some engineers who inspected the car and the insurance said to the garage that they would only cover 65% of the costs...due to the mileage of the car (83,000 miles roughly). The garage has repared the car without asking me if I was ok to pay the last 35% and the insurer did not mention it to me either. I am going to call the insurance tomorrow to get more details about this story...but my concern is that : 1/ I am afraid of talking to them and to commit a mistake that could cost me more 2/ I don't know exactly what I am entitled to get and what are my resources in case they just refuse to change anything on this 3/ They ask me to pay the money upfront (around 2,000) and then I would have to make a claime but...I don't feel confident doing this..and I am far from having this money... In Feb (2 months ago) I was rear ended at an intersection by a drunk driver. It was 3pm, I was on my way to class, and he hit me out of nowhere. This was his second offense.
