Aemond claiming Vhagar gets a little more layered when you realise that her and Caraxes are the only dragons those girls have known properly when it comes to dragon bonds. Like Baela has moondancer, but Rhaena specifically is being ignored by her father for the most part because if she didn't hatch a dragon egg, that means she could claim a dragon which would mean going back to Westeros.
Which is something he's clearly avoiding. Laena has to comfort her saying there are many ways to claim a dragon because Rhaena thinks they'll abandon her for not having one.
So when the dragon her mother has had her entire life is 'stolen', the exact meaning is that that was her mother's dragon, she doesn't have the understanding that Aemond does of going to the dragonpit and looking for dragons to claim.
To her, Vhagar was a family dragon, her family specifically, and the best chance she would have to claim one like her mom said.
Again, her dad ignores her and makes it seem like there's some hierarchy when it comes to hatching dragons and claiming them and not hatching them at all simply because he doesn't want to go back. He doesn't want to help her claim a dragon in King's Landing because he's a selfish bitch.
Aemond does not see it that way because of a similar inferiority complex, that the world's largest dragon could help absolve, and because he has the understanding that dragons aren't inherited. He is also aware that he's at a funeral and that the reason Vhagar is unclaimed is that Rhaena is mourning her recently dead mother.
I think my point is to blame Daemon and Viserys for being evil little men really and giving their kids or facilitating environments where their kids feel inferior based on their own targeted perceptions based on nothing over dragons and dragon bonds. They are responsible.

THE KINSLAYER
based on nightwish's kinslayer aka aemond's theme ✧ gifs: /feodor-dostoevsky // jeonwonwoo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
AEMOND COULD HEAR THE LOUD NOISES FROM THE BROTHEL. He could smell the filthiness from it. He could feel it deep in his bones. He could sense it in the depts of his soul.
Aegon was much more careless than he was. As if he knew that he was doomed, destined to the seven hells, he left himself enjoy the pleasures of terrenal life, hedonistic natures for a doomed man.
Aemond wanted to be correct. When he was a kid, he dreamed of great things. Second sons often got nothing. And he wanted to be someone.
His own grandsire, Baelon, could have been someone. He was to be King, if the stranger didn't take him to soon. He would have been King. A second son.
Jaehaerys was a second son. Maegor was a second son. Even Aegon the First was second to his sister Visenya. Yet it was destined for him to be the ruler.
He thought of himself as worthy. He really did. Aemond Targaryen, rider of Vhagar. It was not something to be taken lightly. Vhagar, ridden by Visenya, Baelon, Laena. All of them were second best too.
It wasn't killing Lucerys what bugged him. He could not care less for the bastard boy. It wasn't making Rhaenyra suffer, though it wasn't how he planned it. She wanted him tortured, she wanted him to be sharply questioned when he just lost an eye. She ran away, with her impecable kin, secured on Dragonstone.
He made a mistake. He felt the power of what the Velaryons boys did when they bullied him. He was worthy. He was a Targaryen. And Vhagar was backing him up.
But sometimes, he didn't think losing an eye was worthy. Hidding it to not scare ladies at court. Cut the eyelids open so he could incrist a sapphire, like Symeon Star-Eyes. He learned how to chop men with a long staff with blades at both ends, just like the legendary hero did.
He wondered if he just wanted to feel something. If he just wanted to feel as someone special, worthy again. If he did, maybe they would admire him, or even care for him. Did they not?
Aegon had his own mess. Helaena had her own mess. Daeron wasn't even near King's Landing. His mother was busy ruling as his father was busier rotting.
"It's okay, my prince." The female voice says, in an attempt of soothing him as her hand caressed his forearm, and he sighed, his head on her lap as he looked into the room.
Brothels, even dirtiest, could have bedroom for the highlors attending. Aemond's naked chest was warm due to the fire, but not thanks to the physical intimacy.
It was a vain attempt of comfort. Aegon had invited him, to cheer him up and to celebrate his new title as King.
'Celebrate what?' He thought. 'I just started a war'
It haunts his dreams. The knowledge of what he did. The burden, the burning.
Kinslayer.
He found himself doomed. Haunted by a hateful nature inside him. It stirred, it boiled deep on his soul. Kinslayer.
A war between kin. The first drops of blood om his hands, tainting his very soul.
It felt good, at the beginning. He tried to rationalize it. A mistake. Vhagar lost control.
Because she did.
Right?
She had to. Because he didn't. It was... teasing. The power of being on Vhagar was just his arrongace, his vanity acting. Not him. It wasn't him. It couldn't be him.
He couldn't even look at his mother on the eyes. He could less look Helaena, hearing her horrified little scream as she found out.
His eye hurt. The emptiness of it, the wound that never fully healed. He couldn't even cry properly, not even for makind or his own doom.
'You lost one eye. How could you be so blind?' His grandsire said.
A need to understand. But there wasn't a need to forgive. He won't do that, for he has no reason. His mother called the war a curse from Gods themselves. She prayed, and prayed. But there wasn't any sense or truth to be followed. He even started to doubt if this was about ruling the realm.
"Do I have to pay you?" He asks, slightly unsure. Vulnerable, even. He hated it.
He was not used to this. Using a whore for comfort. Aegon laughed when he excused himself, asking for a whore, and he even congratulated him, a loud cheer all over the table.
Now he laid naked, curled up as his head rested on her lap. Warmth. Cosiness.
"No, my prince. The King has it covered"
The King. It was Aegon. The same Aegon who bullied him, and used to mock him. His big brother. Now, he was the King. It was his biggest fear, and another curse.
Was this a curse for his own ambitions? For wanting what wad the destiny of his elders? For preparing to rule even if he wasn't even acknowledged in his father's mind?
He sighed. His hair loose, the eyepatch lost somewhere on the room. He felt the touch over his cheebone, going up to move his hair to his back, her hands caressing his hair and head, in a soothing manner as she didn't speak more. He prefered silence after his vulnerable moment.
Being with a whore felt like meeting an old friend. It scared him, it bugged him in the wrong way. But who else can he turn to? The Gods have abandoned him to his luck, and with good reason.
He would prefer having a wife do it. He wondered that if he had one, she would be gentler than this, cozier than this.
He craved the love. He never tried to actively persuing a lady at court, so he had no wife. He couldn't go back to Floris Baratheon, he knew he cannot. Not as a Kinslayer.
He liked to picture his wife as beautiful lady. He does not imagine especifics, he is not demanding on that sense. He imagines her beautiful as the maiden herself, gentle and caring. Not judging him, even if his new curse made him a monster. If he had offsprings, would they love him? Afraid of his lost eye?
He realised that he has to thank the Gods. For not having a wife, or offsprings to pass the curse on. To share the madness with them.
Praying was in vain, for who would hear him? A slayer of his own kin. The blood of his sister was on his hands. Of her little son, that he murdered.
He had prayed to the Father. For him to save a place for Aemond. There are no gods. Not by your side.
He soon realised, he was as well doomed. Second son, kinslayer, murdered of his own nephew, on the skies mounting their dragons. Just as Maegor The Cruel did.
He won't become an acknowledged second son. He won't be worthy, he won't be remember greatly. He won't be a hero, unless he dies greatly. And he knows it. He lusts for this game, and he falls for every lie of it.
He looked at the flames, as if they could answer something to him. As if they could show him what was ahead of him. How he has to act. How he'll die.
A war was yet to come, and he knows he'll fight it. For he has nothing else to lose. He curses the Gods. How was he supposed to know?

patterns of abuse with jaehaerys
this post made me deeply depressed and i reread f&b which was my first mistake.
tldr i’m making the argument that jaehaerys definitely sexually abused saera and alysanne, and likely viserra and gael, and also i hate this man. if you disagree and want to say so *nicely* that’s cool but if you hardcore love jae and don’t want to hear criticism, maybe just scroll past bc i’m not nice to him at all (obviously, i’m accusing him of csa lol).
breaking this down by each woman, so there’s 6 sections: saera, viserra, daella, gael, alysanne, and alicent.
saera targaryen
If she were the king’s firstborn, or better still his only child, she would be well content. Instead she finds herself the ninthborn, with six living siblings who are older than her and even more adored. Aemon is to be king, Baelon most like will be his Hand, Alyssa may be all her mother is and more, Vaegon is more learned than she is, Maegelle is holier, and Daella…when does a day go by when Daella is not in need of comfort? And whilst she is being soothed, Saera is being ignored. Such a fierce little thing she is, they say, she has no need of comfort. They are wrong in that, I fear. All men need comfort.
that’s septon barth’s opinion on her and barth is always right. simply put, she’s a deeply neglected child who acts like a brat to get her parents attention because she’s learned the only way they’ll pay attention to her is if she’s causing a problem.
Before she was eleven, she was stealing wine and ale instead. By twelve, she was like as not to arrive drunk when summoned to the sept for prayer.
The king’s half-witted fool, Tom Turnip, was the victim of many of her japes, and her unwitting catspaw for others. Once, before a great feast where many lords and ladies were to be in attendance, she persuaded Tom that it would be much funnier if he performed naked. It was not well received.
stealing alcohol at 10 and being a committed alcoholic at 12 is not normal behavior. it is a sign of something deeply at wrong at home. also, the way she kind of, sexually humiliated tom, someone who is too “innocent” to even realize she’s sexually humiliating him…gives me the ick re: how she views sex.
Saera had learned the art of getting anything she wanted from her father: a kitten, a hound, a pony, a hawk, a horse (Jaehaerys did draw a firm line at the elephant). Queen Alysanne was far less gullible, however, and Septon Barth tells us that Saera’s sisters all misliked her to various degrees.
i don’t like this. nothing wrong with giving your child gifts (see ned going above and beyond to get arya not just instruction on how to fight but also a specific style that would gel with being smaller than your average opponent) but in conjunction with “jaehaerys ignores saera unless she’s pressing him for an expensive gift which he immediately gives her and alysanne doesn’t get why he caved so quickly” its an alarming dynamic.
also speaks to how isolated saera specifically was, that the only siblings that like her (aemon and baelon) are usually out and about, and there’s a clear wedge between saera and her sisters, even viserra.
The screams were coming from Tom Turnip, who was lurching helplessly in circles trying to escape from half a dozen naked whores, whilst the patrons of the house laughed uproariously and shouted on the harlots. Jonah Mooton, Red Roy Connington, and Stinger Beesbury were amongst those patrons, each one drunker than the last. They had thought it would be funny to see old Turnip do the deed, Red Roy admitted. Then Jonah Mooton laughed and said the jape had all been Saera’s notion, and what a funny girl she was.
again with sexually humiliating tom.
it continues with her friends. it’s not unusual for a 15 year old girl to want to fool around with other 15 year olds but alys and perri are all guilt ridden and upset and alys is with child. it reminds me a lot of cersei sexually abusing taena in affc. when she’s caught (now, mind you, she’s been marched in front of her parents sitting on the throne and not brought to them in their private rooms. she’s being treated right off the bat as if she’s guilty of a crime and not guilty of being a shitty teenager):
“She went from denial to dismissal to quibbling to contrition to accusation to justification to defiance in the space of an hour, with stops at giggling and weeping along the way,” Septon Barth would write. “She never did it, they were lying, it never happened, how could they believe that, it was just a game, it was just a jape, who said that, that was not how it happened, everyone likes kissing, she was sorry, Peri started it, it was such fun, no one was hurt, no one ever told her kissing was bad, Sweetberry had dared her, she was so ashamed, Baelon used to kiss Alyssa all the time, once she started she did not know how to stop, she was afraid of Stinger, the Mother Above had forgiven her, all the girls were doing it, the first time she was drunk, she had never wanted to, it was what men wanted, Maegelle said the gods forgave all sins, Jonah said he loved her, the gods had made her pretty, it was not her fault, she would be good from now on, it will be as if it never happened, she would marry Red Roy Connington, they had to forgive her, she would never kiss a man again or do any of those other things, it wasn’t her who was with child, she was their daughter, she was their little girl, she was a princess, if she were queen she would do as she liked, why wouldn’t they believe her, they never loved her, she hated them, they could whip her if they wanted but she would never be their slave. She took my breath away, this girl. There was never a mummer in all the land who gave such a performance, but by the end she was exhausted and afraid, and her mask slipped.”
What does Jaehaerys ask after all of this? “Have you given any of these boys your maidenhead?” Her response:
“True?” said Saera. It was in that moment, with that word, that the contempt came out. “No. I gave it to all three. They all think they were the first. Boys are such silly fools.”
Now mind you, Alyssa and Daella have both died of childbirth recently and her parents are mad she had sex as a 16 year old bordering on 17 year old, and not the fact that she like, at best peer pressured her besties into having sex and now one of them is pregnant. jaehaerys has only asked if she’s still a virgin.
“I will be married,” the princess said. “Why shouldn’t I be? You were married at my age. I shall be wedded and bedded, but to whom? Jonah and Roy both love me, I could take one of them, but they are both such boys. Stinger does not love me, but he makes me laugh and sometimes makes me scream. I could marry all three of them, why not? Why should I have just one husband? The Conqueror had two wives, and Maegor had six or eight.”
i keep trying not to give my opinion and just lay it all out but the thing is i’d just be reposting the whole scene because it’s just filled with so much weird sex stuff. if you don’t remember it, go reread it. it doesn’t feel (to me) like regular “george is bad at writing sex” vibes but “george is purposefully trying to skeeve you out” vibes but i am willing to admit i could be wrong and he really just doesn’t understand what he wrote.
anyways remember how i said saera acts out to get attention from her parents? all she’s done here is act out, her “crimes” are basically nonexistent; beyond how alys feels about being pregnant, saera consensually had sex with boys around her age who aren’t married, and then blithely compared herself to some asshole relatives. if your teenager idolizes dick cheney that’s probably worrying but not a crime! this is not how jae treats it however.
When the princess heard his words, she rushed toward him, crying, “Father, Father!” but Jaehaerys turned his back on her, and Gyles Morrigen caught her by the arm and wrenched her away. She would not go of her own accord, so the guards were forced to drag her from the hall, wailing and sobbing and calling for her father.
The king was angry and unyielding, for his shame was deeply felt, and he could not forget Saera’s taunting words about his uncle’s wives. “She is no longer my daughter,” he said more than once. Queen Alysanne could not find it in her heart to be so harsh, however. “
saera tries to escape.
This time the princess was not allowed to return to her own chambers. She was confined to a tower cell instead, with Jonquil Darke guarding her day and night, even in the privy.
Princess Saera watched from the window of her cell. Jonquil Darke, her gaoler, made certain that she did not turn away.
that’s as her dad is murdering stinger btw. is he a creepy 19 year old? yeah. but like, making your 15 year old watch you murder her 19 year old trust fund baby stoner boyfriend sure is something.
so then they sent her to the silent sisters where she’s beaten all the time and has to pray all the time and she runs away, becomes a sex worker and literally never looks back.
The truth did not come out until a year later, when the former princess was seen in a Lysene pleasure garden, still clad as a novice. Queen Alysanne wept to hear it. “They have made our daughter into a whore,” she said. “She always was,” the king replied.
“You need her as a Dornishman needs a pit viper,” Jaehaerys said. “I am sorry. King’s Landing has sufficient whores. I do not wish to hear her name again.”
but before we move on, let’s look at one more related ick, when saera’s sons show up to the great council:
From Essos came three rival competitors, grandsons of King Jaehaerys through his daughter Saera, each sired by a different father. One was said to be the very image of his grandsire in his youth.
after her drinking, acting out, and jaehaerys’ focus on calling her a whore, explicitly pointing out that one of her grandsons looks just like jae is a choice. i know they’re super inbred. it’s still uncomfortable in context.
viserra targaryen
alysanne makes no sense here but i’m just gonna quickly explain instead of lay it out or we will be here all day bc viserra’s engagement is completely nonsensical. theomore manderly is old, ugly, has a shitton of heirs, and viserra clearly doesn’t want to marry him. also if she wanted to be queen, why is she going after baelon, aemon is still alive. anyways jaehaerys is no help here, then she goes to baelon for help, but she’s also super drunk.
Frustrated, Viserra next turned to her brother Baelon in hopes of rescue, if court gossip can be believed. Slipping past his guards into his bedchamber one night, she disrobed and waited for him, making free with the prince’s wine whilst she lingered. When Prince Baelon finally appeared, he found her drunk and naked in his bed and sent her on her way. The princess was so unsteady that she required the help of two maids and a knight of the Kingsguard to get her safely back to her own apartments.
she gets drunk with some friends again, goes riding, breaks her neck. i wanted to point out this pattern of drinking and acting out at a young age. as well as this pattern of targaryen daughters who aren’t “meant” for a brother and are promised to men who are old and with heirs
daella targaryen
i wanted to add daella because her getting married at 15 makes as little sense as viserra, and her match to a old man with several heirs is equally nonsensical. but also this:
“I would never marry her,” the boy said, in front of half the court. “She can barely read. She should find some lord in need of stupid children, for that’s the only sort he will ever have of her.”
where did vaegon get that mouth.
Daella was not clever, even her septa had to admit. She learned to read after a fashion, but haltingly, and without full comprehension. She could not seem to commit even the simplest prayers to memory. She had a sweet voice, but was afraid to sing; she always got the words wrong. She loved flowers, but was frightened of gardens; a bee had almost stung her once.
Jaehaerys, even more than Alysanne, despaired of her. “She will not even speak to a boy. How is she to marry? We could entrust her to the Faith, but she does not know her prayers, and her septa says that she cries when asked to read aloud from The Seven-Pointed Star.”
The queen always rose to her defense. “Daella is sweet and kind and gentle. She has such a tender heart. Give me time, and I will find a lord to cherish her. Not every Targaryen needs to wield a sword and ride a dragon.”
so daella is 12 at this point.
Her sixteenth nameday was fast approaching, and with it her womanhood. Queen Alysanne was at her wit’s end, and the king had lost his patience. On the first day of the 80th year since Aegon’s Conquest, he told the queen he wanted Daella wed before the year’s end. “If she wants I can find a hundred men and line them up before her naked, and she can pick the one she likes,” he said. “I would sooner she wed a lord, but if she prefers a hedge knight or a merchant or Pate the Pig Boy, I am past the point of caring, so long as she picks someone.”
i just don’t like this. other “simple” targs are not required to marry, like vaella and aelora, two of daeron ii’s grandfaughters so i don’t get why daella is pressured into marrying before she’s even of age. at least jae 2 forced rhaella and aerys because of a prophecy? what is jae’s reasoning for so sexualizing his daughter?
gael targaryen
this one is definitely a reach but i’d like to point out that this is basically all we know about gael:
Princess Gael, a sweet, shy child of seven, became the queen’s constant shadow and support, even sharing her bed at night.
and our information on how she dies is so shady:
A sweet-natured girl, but frail and somewhat simpleminded, she remained with the queen long after her other children had grown and gone, but in 99 AC she vanished from court, and soon afterward it was announced that she had died of a summer fever. Only after both her parents were gone did the true tale come out. Seduced and abandoned by a traveling singer, the princess had given birth to a stillborn son, then, overwhelmed by grief, walked into the waters of Blackwater Bay and drowned.
how does gael get pregnant by a traveling singer when she never leaves her mother’s side? why doesn’t anyone in court know gael got pregnant and killed herself until after aly and jae both die and how was this even found out?
am i implying that jaehaerys sexually abused all four of his daughters? yes because he literally sexually abuses his own wife.
alysanne targaryen
“I am forty-two years old,” she told the king. “You must be content with the children I have given you. I am more suited to be a grandmother than a mother now, I fear.”
King Jaehaerys did not share her certainty. “Our mother, Queen Alyssa, was forty-six when she gave birth to Jocelyn,” he pointed out to Grand Maester Elysar. “The gods may not be done with us.” He was not wrong. The very next year, the Grand Maester informed Queen Alysanne that she was once more with child, to her surprise and dismay.
he uses the birth that killed their mother and that is condemned by rhaena and alysanne as reckless and cruel of rogar to force on her. that birth.
at this point as well, he had abused saera and daella, then they’re gone, then viserra starts drinking and dies, then jae marital rapes aly into having gael, giving him access to another young girl to abuse…i’m aware this is a very uncharitable reading of him but…
alicent hightower (and kind of alyssa targaryen)
Ser Otto’s precocious fifteen-year-old daughter, Alicent, became his constant companion, fetching His Grace his meals, reading to him, helping him to bathe and dress himself. The Old King sometimes mistook her for one of his daughters, calling her by their names; near the end, he grew certain she was his daughter Saera, returned to him from beyond the narrow sea.
saera is the one he fixated on yet again but notable that he’s fixated on his daughters as he dies and not his sons, despite jaehaerys turning to drink after aemon died bc he was so upset.
He announced his intention to wed Lady Alicent of House Hightower, the clever and lovely eighteen-year-old daughter of the King’s Hand, the girl who had read to King Jaehaerys as he lay dying.
The Hightowers of Oldtown were an ancient and noble family, of impeccable lineage; there could be no possible objection to the king’s choice of bride. Even so, there were those who murmured that the Hand had risen above himself, that he had brought his daughter to court with this in mind. A few even cast doubt on Lady Alicent’s virtue, suggesting she had welcomed King Viserys into her bed even before Queen Aemma’s death. (These calumnies were never proved, though Mushroom repeats them in his Testimony and goes so far as to claim that reading was not the only service Lady Alicent performed for the Old King in his bedchamber.)
i know it’s just mushroom being a perv but a rumor that 15 year old alicent “serviced” jaehaerys existing besides rumors that he mistook 15 year old alicent for the daughter he last saw when she was 17 - and viserra was 15, gael 19, and daella 15, all around alicent’s age and all died before age 20. all the targaryen girls that weren’t born “for” a brother exit the narrative after some sort of sexual abuse that centers around jae, as teenagers; daenerys was born for aemon, alyssa for baelon, and maegelle for vaegon before they both fucked off and maegelle was too pious (and too old). this idea of being “for” a brother leads directly to alyssa’s death before 30:
“You were made for battles, and I was made for this. Viserys and Daemon and Aegon, that’s three. As soon as I am well, let’s make another. I want to give you twenty sons. An army of your own!” It was not to be. Alyssa Targaryen had a warrior’s heart in a woman’s body, and her strength failed her. She never fully recovered from Aegon’s birth, and died within the year at only four-and-twenty.
and alysanne being “for” jaehaerys is how he excusing sexually abusing her into a risky pregnancy. essentially what i fear is that because saera, daella, viserra, and gael aren’t “for” someone, jaehaerys gets it into his mind that that are for him. even without him raping them tho, that subtext is there! he is entitled to saera’s virginity and calls her a whore multiple times, even decades after she’s left, and murders her boyfriend in front of her. he claims a weird sexual ownership over his neurodivergent daughter daella and his alcoholic, depressed daughter viserra, and we get zero information on gael’s pregnancy or his reaction to it. but jaehaerys deciding his daughters are “for” him certainly has a basis in canon just judging from the erratic and worrying behavior of his younger daughters.
jaehaerys is a creep and i hate him and i don’t know how much of this is on purpose (like, will aegon vi or dany find out jaehaerys was a shady pedo and it shatters their world? will dunk and egg find it out and it affects their plot somehow? did george just put it in there to make a comment on power and monarchy and misogyny, similar to aegon iv raping the bracken women? or is just there for window dressing creepiness, like “i will pepper in the fact that jaehaerys is sexually obsessed with his daughters” thing?) or if george just made jaehaerys sexually obsessed with his daughters on accident?
on the one hand, it seems out of character for george. he romanticizes drogo thru dany’s eyes but it’s clear he’s meant to be seen as a creep (dany talking about being pregnant followed by “she had just turned 14” is sickeningly jarring for a reason) and also, drogo dies bc of his own pride. sansa doesn’t like any of the old dudes touching her; she is at least marginally freaked out by her wedding night, the unkiss, and lf & dontos taking liberties with her, and rightly. the story that’s told about the mountain raping a girl and making the father pay him is meant to disgust us. the walk of shame is a harrowing chapter to read, because whatever cersei’s crimes, this sexual humiliation is not something she deserves. on and on. yes, we all hate the way arya is sexualized in the mercy chapter, but crucially, she’s not blithely and happily seducing these pervs, she’s going hard candy on their asses. is this just messy set up for something like that?? i think, given how little dany knows about her family’s crimes that somehow learning jae sexually abused (and maybe even impregnated) his own daughters after she herself experiences sexual abuse would be huge. the same goes for aegon vi learning that sexual abuse runs rampant in his family tree; would he empathize with saera hiding out in essos to escape the sexual abuse of her father, see some of elia and his own plight in her? in gael?
or did george really just. not realize how sexually obsessed jaehaerys was with his daughters?
idk how to end this. where’s the winds of winter george i need answers.

Okay so what *would* the line of succession look like if it starts with Visenya??
well complicated because absolute primogeniture would change who is getting married to who. also disclaimer i am making all of this shit up. here are my thoughts.
- so assuming that as the eldest visenya still has to marry aegon out of obligation maegor is born as the heir from the beginning. earlier in he was in canon. aenys is rhaenys and ???s child
- since the order is switched i think it makes more sense to have maegor marry alyssa velaryon and aenys marry ceryse hightower. Judgement call for thematic reasons here: Maegor and Alyssa have Rhaena, the heir, and Viserys (this is Aegon uncrowned but Maegor will be naming his son after his mommy and not his dad come on.) Aenys and Ceryse have Jaehaerys and Alysanne.
- Maegor isn’t king for too long since Visenya lives forever. Viserys still dies after the birth of Rhaena’s twins due to slipping on a banana peel or maybe getting like Ivan the terrible’d by his own dad or something you know how it is with them.
- After Maegor dies, brief succession dustup where the more traditional southern reacher houses all back jaehaerys (half hightower, raised in the faith, male) over Rhaena but they lose their political momentum when Jaehaerys marries his younger sister and loses his “pure westerosi princeling” cred. Oops. Conflict resolved when Rhaena agrees to let Jae and Aly onto her small council, send one of her daughters to the faith, and betroth the other to some reacher family or another. Doesn’t matter because Aerea dies very young and Rhaella becomes a septa still.
- This leaves Rhaena in a bind trying to figure out which of her cousin’s kids to designate as heir. Kind of a problem since Rhaena never remarries and puts the succession question off until all of them are old.
- Alysanne backs Rhaenys, eldest child of their eldest child and bearer of Dark Sister.
- Jaehaerys backs Baelon and his son Aegon (Viserys I but in this universe since Visenya was king the function of the names Aegon and Viserys are switched) because he still hates women.
- This is already self-indulgent so I’m going to say bitter jaded elderly Queen Rhaena pivots at the last minute and backs Saera, Jaehaerys’ willful maligned daughter who miraculously returned from essos where her own Aerea did not. (she made it to the dragon pit and claimed Balerion in this one. just for fun)
- Dance of the Dragons happens earlier and has 3 major factions. Stormlands and Crownlands back Rhaenys, the Reach, Westerlands, and Vale back Baelon, and the Triarchy backs Saera. After that literally who knows.

House of the Dragon AU where Rhaenyra is raised as a boy, her birth kept secret for a while because she's sickly and Aemma has already lost a few miscarriages and a stillbirth and it doesn't matter too much since Aemon is Heir and Jaehaerys is still alive and Rhaenys is the one with eyes on her, but after Baelon becomes Heir everyone learns Viserys has a kid and when He dies and -another miscarriage,- Viserys becomes King he tells people he has a son, a small lie in all the chaos to smooth things over, to seem like a better prospect. At least till he gets an actual son. And then Aemma dies.
Otto proposes that his daughter, friends with the Prince already, be betrothed to Rhaenyra since betrothing her to Viserys wouldn't put his blood on the throne per se but the Prince? And he gets to override Daemon getting His blood on the throne? Que the Baby Problem(TM)
Que the Baby Problem. How do these lesbians women procure heirs for the throne? Rhaenyra's blood would have to be passed on, since any child born from Alicent wouldn't be a dragonlord but Rhaenyra being pregnant would make their hoax harder to keep up, having kids who look too different will cause rumors and if no one ever saw Alicent pregnant they'd start to wonder. That being said, I quite like them sharing the experience. And Rhaenyra has proven to be reckless and Alicent is easily swayed by her.
So we need a Hightower man and a Valyrian man. In comes Gwayne Hightower, a man in his 30s unmarried and with no children of his own in a medieval times equivalent. A man who essentially raised his nephew for his sister and cared enough about her to reassure her she was a good mother. I'm unsure who would step in for Alicent, Laenor- if he fell in love with Gwayne and had a Queers Help Queers relationship with the girls? But what would he get out of it? He couldn't be a Sworn Shield like Gwayne, Daemon? Too possessive, too power hungry, too obsessed with Viserys and hating Hightowers. Maaaybe Viserys since he does know and would do anything for Rhaenyra, and at least this way his other kids wouldn't threaten his first-born's claim to the throne and subsequently start a Succession Crisis.
Either way, when Rhaenyra is having her first child, she would have their first child so there's no confusion over who gets to be heir (if Alicent had a son first but Rhaenyra's first child was also a son it'd cause emotional problems cause they're both her sons buuut...) and Gwayne is a much easier solution to the problem. And they can hide away in Dragonstone and make excuses about Rhaenyra being overprotective because of her mother. The next would be Alicent's, to show the court that yes, Alicent is the one getting pregnant. And so on and so forth, their children would then be betrothed to each other to unite their blood.
Just Rhaenyra and Alicent, 'King and Queen' and their Sworn Shield Ser Gwayne Hightower and the other one, maybe a dragonseed who's Gwayne's lover? Wacky little medieval lesbians having a rollercoaster ride of a time making a family and running from court, the Velaryons, and Otto and Daemon.

We'll be fine
Aemond Targaryen x Reader (Daughter of Rhaenyra)
Disclaimer: English is not my first language so I apologize for any mistakes.
TW: Inc*st, Angst
part 2 part3
Summary: Greens win AU. Rhaenyra Targaryen is dead, the war seems to be over but that doesn't mean there is peace. Your relationship with Aemond is strained after he killed your brother and he will leave you for Alys Rivers.
Tumblr media
Frustration. That was what Aemond felt. Pure frustration. All he wanted was to be with you, to have you in his arms again but you refused to sleep in the same room as him. This morning you hardly looked at him when he went to your room to see the children.
Aemond hated himself for allowing himself to be bewitched by that witch. Worst of all, you didn't seem to believe him. You thought he cheated on you because he wanted to because he didn't love you. It hurt him that you doubted his love for you and their children. But how could I blame you? He had abandoned you in the middle of the war, you gave birth alone and raised the children alone. Oh, the boys, Baelon and Aemon, didn't seem happy with him either. When he picked them up, they were both hysterical. He shouldn't have expected another reaction from them, after all, he was a stranger to his children.
Three knocks on the door brought the prince out of his thoughts.
"Go ahead," he said imagining that it should be his mother or his servant. He didn't even bother to take his eyes off the flames in the fireplace.
"My prince." Aemond stood up the instant he heard your voice. Was it for some miraculous reason that you decided to believe him and had come to stay with him? He started to walk towards you, ready to kiss you "It's the children's bedtime"
Aemond tried hard not to show his disappointment at your words.
"I usually read to them before they go to sleep" you kept talking feeling nervous at the silence "then I was thinking that you could join us, you know that the boys start to get used to you and, I don't know, maybe start to form a bond with you ” you began to turn your ring, the ring that aemond gave you when you two got married “Only if you want”
You were more than angry with your husband but you did not intend to ruin the relationship between your children and him. If Aemond was willing to want to form a bond with them you weren't going to deny him, you were willing to help him. Your children deserve to grow up with a father.
"I would be delighted" replied the prince "Thank you" he took your hand and kissed it. You couldn't help but tense up when you thought that those same lips that just kissed your hand had kissed Alys Rivers, surely they had done more than kiss the witch, she ended up pregnant for a reason. With that image in your head, you jerked your hand away and left his room.
Aemond stood in the room for a moment, hurt by your rejection, before he went after you.
••••
Aemond liked reading to children. He knew that the babies didn't understand the story he was telling but they were still happy every time he changed his voice to a more exaggeratedly thick one. He even managed to make them laugh and he was sure you wanted to laugh too but hid it with a fake cough.
The boys were already asleep so he should go now but Aemond didn't want to. You didn't seem to want him to go either because you hadn't kicked him out yet. The two were sitting quietly. You watched sweetly as your husband brushed Baelon's hair back from his face. How you would have liked that Aemond had been present from day one, that he had been with you those dark nights when you didn't feel like a good mother for not being able to make the twins stop crying, that he had calmed your fears… But he was too busy fighting the war and sleeping with Alys Rivers.
"I'm sorry" your husband broke the silence.
"For what exactly? For killing my brother? For killing my grandmother? For getting another woman pregnant while I was taking care of our children?"
Every word you said felt like a slap in the face to Aemond. Your voice was pure cold fury but your eyes had so much pain and he hated being the cause of your pain. But still, he couldn't help but get mad at you for bringing up Lucerys's death again. You were the first person he saw when he came back from Storm's End, he told you the whole truth, Vhagar had not obeyed him, and the two of them wept that night in each other's arms because he knew the war was coming.
"You know that Lucerys was not my intention. And I told you that damn witch put a spell on me"
"Excuses. You're just giving me excuses" you replied, trying to ignore the lump in your throat, and stood up to walk away from him. Aemond was not long in following you. I wasn't going to let you walk away from him.
“Why don't you believe me?” he said with clear frustration as he grabbed your arm and turned you around. Now his bodies were glued together. If Aemond bowed his head he might even kiss you. A part of you wanted me to and you hated yourself for it. You hated yourself for still loving him, you should want your husband to be rotting in hell after all the suffering he caused your family. You should be trying to get revenge on your brothers, your grandmother, and your mother but instead you were quietly playing house while the greens rejoiced in their victory.
"Why should I do it? I trusted you, I trusted you with my heart, and look how it ended ”you averted your eyes from her face, ashamed of yourself to see how your vision was clouded by tears. You cursed yourself for being so weak.
Aemond lifted your chin for you to look at him again “I love you” you started to shake your head “Yes I do. I love you ”I affirm again“ I promise you that I will spend the rest of my days trying to repay you for all the pain I cause you,” he said as he gently wiped the tears from your face.
"I don't think that one day I can forgive you," you said with a broken voice "But I still love you" you confessed making the prince smile.
Aemond felt a weight lift from his shoulders at those words. He was so afraid that you had stopped loving him. Your confession gave him hope for the future. The pain of the war was very recent but over time you two could come to an agreement. He could never bring your brothers back to you but he could give you more children, and create new memories. He could make you happy.
"We'll be fine" he promised and left a kiss on your forehead. He was dying to kiss you but he knew it wasn't time yet. But it didn't matter, you two had time and besides, he already felt satisfied knowing that you still loved him "I love you" he repeated and rested his forehead against yours.
"We'll be fine," you repeated.
Too bad your tranquility wouldn't last long because of Aegon.

Hello!! I know that aside from Daemon/Rhaenyra, you are a fan of Baelon/Alyssa. I just wanted to ask, what is your opinion on Viserra, or on the whole Viserra seducing Baelon after Alyssa’s death? Do you think Baelon might have been able to save Viserra from her fate if he had agreed to marry her (even if he didn’t love her)? What is your opinion on this pair?
Hi there :)
Yes, after Daemyra Baelon and Alyssa are definitely my favourite Targaryen couple.
About the rest of your ask, I don't think Viserra fans will like my answer, but I don't quite care for Viserra. I have talked about it in the past that I see Saera and Viserra as very shallow characters with almost nothing to them. They were written as mean girls and that's about it, besides being Targaryens and physically very attractive, I don't actually see any redeeming qualities in them.
Saera at least you could argue was sort of funny, in a heartless, sociopathic Cersei kind of way, and I did admire how she later on in life wanted nothing to do with Westeros or the Iron Throne saying she had her own kingdom was a cool moment. But regardless she was cruel, unnecessarily so (e.g., Tom the Turnip anyone?), and worse with someone much weaker than her which also makes her a sort of coward. Like I said she had many sociopathic traits, and her behaviour itself is very congruent with a sociopathic personality type.
Viserra is a bit better in that regard in the sense that she was not needlessly cruel to anyone weaker than her for fun, even if she poked fun at young men who lusted after her, sometimes in quite dangerous ways (e.g., when she dares them to put their heads inside a dragon's mouth, I think the prize was her V card if memory serves right). But like Saera is mean and cold for the sake of being mean and cold, Viserra is ambitious and cold for the sake of being ambitious and cold.
We are both shown and told she wanted power and to be queen and F feelings and all that, but we are never really given a proper reason as to why. I would guess that being child #10 in a very large family would make you starved for attention, likely importance as well, since her only selling point in that family was being the most beautiful of the sisters. It was (VERY) unlikely she would ever be queen, so maybe because of that it became an ambition of hers? There was also something arrogant about her because of her looks, thinking that that would be enough to just give her what she wanted without having to rely on anything else. In that sense she has no depth, what you see is pretty much what you get and neither is very good or particularly compelling.
So, no, I wouldn't want her to marry Baelon, nor for Baelon to be interested in her. In fact, I loved that he wasn't and that after she spoke in such a nasty way about the sister she thought herself so physically superior too that Baelon gave Viserra a cold hard dose of reality of he's Baelon Targaryen, not a failed Baelon like Tywin Lannister.
Sure that some people find love again in life, and I am all for it. But some people aren't like that, and I found a lot of beauty in that aspect of Baelon's character, of how devoted he remained to the memory of his lady with the mismatched eyes. I would have hated for that to be ruined, especially in the name of such an ambitious and empty character like Viserra. If he was to marry her, whatever the reason, he would not be Baelon because that was a central aspect to his character.
All this aside I did feel bad about how Viserra was treated by Alysanne, almost like she was the final boss Alysanne had to defeat. I think this is a great example at times of George's incongruence with how he writers characters in F&B. Pretty much their end is decided so he just does whatever he has to to get there, at times with little regard with what he previously established. Are we supposed to believe that the same Alysanne who still loved and wanted to forgive Saera, even defended her, would be so cold and mean to Viserra? Sorry, I don't find it the least bit believable. Like show us on the doll where Viserra touched you Alysanne. Regardless of her not deserving this or her cruel fate, I still don't really care about Viserra nor think she had any redeeming qualities.
And that is my take.
Thank you for coming to my Tumblr Ted Talk!
Much love to you <3

God is Cruel to you, Not Me.
Tumblr media
Pairing: House of the Dragon x Male!Targaryen!Reader x Mandela Catalogue Alt Gabriel
Genre: Crossover Angst
Warnings: self-hate, self-harming, guilt, mentions of childbirth death, masochistic tendencies, forcing religion onto someone, manipulation, happy ending for reader but everyone else suffers.
A/n: Final Repost of this. This is official post of this fic. @kawaiiskeletoneggsnerd
Westeros is known for having the religion of the Faith of the Seven, the Valyrians such as the Targaryens and Velaryons. They had the Valyrian gods of old to watch over them, it was always said the Targaryens were closer to gods than to men, they say that because of their dragons.
What if, it was not the dragons that made them closer to god, what if nothing made them closer to the gods.
Well. Except for one.
Y/n Targaryen.
He was known as the younger brother of Rhaenyra Targaryen, when he was born he took the life of both his mother Queen Aemma and his older twin Baelon Targaryen. When he was old enough to understand it, he began to blame himself for killing his mother as he made his way into the world.
The other thing about Y/n is that he was a dreamer, but not just any dreamer. His dreams were not of the future or about the present, it was about something completely different. The first one started at the age of seven, it was a dream of him standing in front of a tree. In front of the tree was a red apple, it was tempting to take a bite out of it. There was a faint voice pulling him ever so slightly forward, but he woke up before he could do anything.
Then the dreams would continue every night, every time he went into the dream he would walk a step forward, inching towards the apple.
Y/n would go to talk to his father about such dreams, Viserys did not fully understand his dreams as they were not the usual dreams of Targaryens that himself has experienced. During the days in the Red Keep, he would hear voices pulling him to places, sometimes he passed out and awake in his room with him on the floor.
He would pick the dagger his uncle Daemon had gifted him during his seventh name day, then begin to make marks on his arms just to relieve the pain he felt building up.
The scars would burn at first, but then he realized he liked the burns.
This was the way he grew up, soon it felt like normal, during nights sometimes he would wake up and see a tall figure at the foot of his bed. The figure was almost as tall as his room, it wore a white robe and had curly blonde hair. Sometimes, he could have sworn he saw wings.
Rhaenyra offered to take him to the sept to pray as to maybe to take his mind off things, but once Y/n even put one foot inside the sept he felt dizzy, like something was restraining him from going inside. He pushed back the feeling and continued in anyway.
“Even though our family worships the Valyrian gods, in Westeros we still have the Faith of the Seven. We should have both as we now live on these lands.” Rhaenyra said.
Y/n stayed silent before speaking, thinking over what he was going to say. “Are there…any other religions in Westeros?” His voice was soft as he turned to his sister.
“Not that I know of.” Rhaenyra then got into a prayer position, she gestured to Y/n to follow her actions.
She then began to pray under her breath, closing her eyes as she spoke to herself. Y/n also tried, but inside his head was something different, a different prayer was said.
‘Say it.’
“My lord, bless for all as I shall never stray. For my blood should be my own, no other gods shall see me bleed.” The words fell out of his lips so easily, he had no control of what he was even saying. And before he knew it, he was done.
And that is how many years passed, the years passed before his own eyes like a blur of colors. The prayer he continued to say over and over again every single night, the tragedies that befall on others, the drama within his family never got to him. It seemed like everyone else around him was miserable, it was he was the only one that was not punished by the gods.
On Driftmark, they were there to attend the funeral of Lady Laena Velayron. He stood next to his sister and his nephews, he kind of felt bored but he gave his best stance regardless. After the speech Vaemond gave, Y/n went over to his uncle Daemon.
“Uncle.” He said.
“Nephew.” Daemon replied back.
“I’m terribly sorry for your loss, I’m sure she was a good wife.”
A smile ghosted Daemon’s lips. “The gods can be cruel, especially to your father.”
Y/n wanted to laugh at that, he pushed back the feeling of it back down. “Yes, they have. Same with my sister. And even you, uncle.”
Daemon had confusion on his mind. “And you?” He asked his nephew.
“Not that I could think of. Nothing has been bad for me in recent years.” Y/n dipped his head slightly, looking out to the ocean.
“Nothing good ever comes to us Targaryens. Every time a Targaryen is born they say the gods flip a coin. If they flipped to the good side, the bad will still be present regardless.” Daemon downed his wine from his goblet in one go.
“What if the gods are just not cruel to me?” Y/n asked with curiosity, his eyes watched the tides below.
“Why don’t you ask your cunt of a step-mother? I am sure that she knows about the ‘higher authority’. Faith and all that.” Daemon lets out a smile, in which Y/n returns to him.
“I doubt she can help me.”
—---------
He went to bed early that night, having the same dream again but this time he was right in front of the apple.
Y/n picked it up without much of another thought, then he took a bite out of it. There was a tree that was planted in front of him, and behind it, a boney pale hand reached out to him, telling him to take its hand.
His body moved on his own as he took it, then everything faded to black.
Y/n felt someone shaking him awake, it was a guard telling him something had happened. He got dressed quickly and went downstairs. Turns out his half-brother Aemond had his eye taken out.
Once he saw how Aemond was sitting in a chair getting stitches, he wanted to care but he just really could not feel any empathy for him. Once again, such events passed with flying colors as before he realized he was already back home in King’s Landing.
His sister, Rhaenyra has distanced herself and has decided to move to Dragonstone. Y/n stayed as in King’s Landing.
Time passed quickly, and soon six years went by and his sister was back to defend Luke’s claim to Driftmark. He avoided the whole thing that was happening in the throne room, he wandered off to the sept again to pray.
Y/n did not know how much time had passed, but Alicent, his step mother, had come to see him in the sept.
“I did not know you came into the sept, I always thought you and Rhaenyra worshipped the Valyrian gods.” Alicent said, walking in while her arms held each other.
“I do not know anything about the Valyrian gods of old, nor do I know anything of the Faith of the Seven. I have never even once looked at the Seven-pointed-star.” He continued to stay in the prayer position of being on his knees.
“Then why do you come into the sept, there is no reason for you to pray to.”
Y/n stood up, his eyes held a dark glint in them. “There is someone else I pray to.”
“Y/n.” He heard being called, looking over to see his sister at the arched doorway of the sept. “Nyra..” He called his sister’s nickname as she walked over.
“I knew I would find you here, though you have told me you don’t know the faith. We worship the Valyrian gods, you know that. It is our heritage.” Rhaenyra held his shoulders in a comforting manner.
“If Y/n is a prince of the Iron Throne, it is best for him to know the religion of Westeros after all.” Alicent spoke as she watched the sister and brother standing by each other.
Rhaenyra gave Alicent a harsh stare. “My brother is of Targaryen descent, from the times of Old Valyria. He should know the Valyrian gods.”
Silence ensued as the two women stared at each other. It was the prince that stood between that broke the silence.
“Then, I guess I failed as a Targaryen.”
Rhaenyra turned to look at him in confusion. “What do you mean brother?”
Y/n walked over to where the candles casted shadows onto the walls, standing in the said shadows as he clasped his hands together in a prayer position. “But now, I belong to him.” The shadows behind him begin to shift and turn into something else.
The figure the shadows shifted into was tall, the silhouette on the walls, soon three pairs of what seemed to be feathered wings sprouted from its back. The face soon had shadows cleared to show eyes and a mouth. The eyes of the shadow were stretched and the mouth was also very wide, the arch of the smile went from eye to eye.
The queen and the princess both could do nothing as they saw the shadow. The lighting soon returned to normal as Y/n turned to leave.
Over the next couple of weeks Alicent avoided her stepson like the plague, she could not get that image of them in the sept out of her mind. Everytime during meal time she prayed to the seven for their guidance and their blessing to set Y/n free of it. One night at supper, he heard her praying and leaned over to say something to her.
“You think the gods have been cruel to me?” He asked Alicent with a smile, the queen looked at him with confusion.
“Think again.” He drinks the wine from his goblet. “The gods have been cruel to you, not me.”
Y/n did not speak to her for the rest of the night, but Alicent on the other hand was even more scared than she had ever been in her life now. Is what he said true? Were the gods just cruel to her?
Y/n went on with his days as usual, until one day he saw someone new in court. A new man in court that somehow worked his way up in his father’s small council, when Y/n saw him for the first time he felt a sense of familiarity.
The male looked ethereal, like a true god that has fallen from the stars. He was tall, easily at least 6ft, blonde curly hair that shaped his face and fell around his neck and shoulders like a curtain, he had ocean blue eyes that seemed to pull him in.
The man looked too familiar to a certain someone from his dreams, the one whom he took the hand of years ago, the same hand that came from behind the tree, the one where the apple fell from. Y/n felt drawn to him at first glance, he saw the man during a small council meeting, when the council was done Y/n left fast.
Once he got back to his room, his face felt like it was burning. Deciding to get some fresh air he walked to the garden, but on the way he bumped into someone. Surprise, surprise it was the same lord that he was trying to get away from. Now that he thought about it, the lord in front of him looked too perfect, it was unnatural in a way, it was not human.
“My prince, I’m so sorry. I did not see you.” The unnamed lord held his hand out for the prince to take.
Deja Vu hit Y/n like a storm, the same hand, from the same dream, now he was sure something was wrong. He took the hand getting himself up to his feet again. “It is alright, I was just going for a walk.”
“Oh? May I join you?” The older one asked. “Of course.” Y/n could only accept the offer as he walked towards the garden again, this time with someone behind him.
Once they made it to the garden, Y/n wandered mindlessly. Until he decided to sit on one of the turf benches, the unnamed lord followed him and sat next to him.
“I have not introduced myself. I am Lord Gabriel of House Seraphthrone.” Gabriel said with a smile.
“House Seraphthrone? I have not heard of this house before? Where does it reside?” Y/n’s curiosity has now peaked.
“My house resides on the edge between the Riverlands where the Tullys are, and the north where the Starks live. But also somewhat close to where House Arryn resides.” Gabriel’s smile did not leave his face.
“Huh. I would like to see it sometime.”
They continued to talk as he escorted Y/n back to his room, but when they got there, Gabriel was hesitant to leave.
“What is it? Something wrong lord Gabriel?”
“Nothing. Just…this..” Gabriel’s hand went to the underside of Y/n’s chin, making him look at him.
“You really are beautiful..” Was all the lord said before he turned on his heels and left.
Y/n was left stunned with that, retreating back into his room and left to contemplate what in the seven hells he just went through. That was not the last time he would see Gabriel.
Throughout the next weeks and even months, Gabriel would continue to be in his company. At times, the lord would even bring the prince gifts and even new sets of robes and clothes for his wardrobe. Soon, the robes he wore of his own house were not only black and red, but also with the white robes from house Seraphthrone.
When the days went by, Y/n would continue to pray not knowing the god he prayed to was the one that hung around him all day. Slowly but surely, Y/n had begun to fall in love with the lord, and Gabriel knew this well.
Gabriel had deceived everyone within court, hell, even everyone in Westeros. No one said a single thing as his house had risen through many other houses, along with him working his way up in the King’s court. He deceived everyone’s weak minds, including the sweet prince that was so naive to pray to him when he whispered it into his ear for the first time.
But soon, he had to come clean about who he was. And when did, it was a reaction he did not expect. Y/n was practically overjoyed and hugged him tight.
“You’re the god I have been praying to? Then I guess I am one lucky dragon am I not?” Y/n said with a smile on his face.
On the inside, Gabriel now knew he had someone that could do his bidding no matter what, which means he could destroy House Targaryen from the inside. Little by little, Y/n did what was asked of him, slowly tearing the family more apart. It got to the point where he started to realize it, but what could he do now, nothing. He kind of liked it anyway.
When the blacks and the greens were very clearly divided, Y/n was on his sister’s side of course, but he also wished he was not part of this.
“Then you know what to do.” Was the only words Gabriel had said to him before leaving his chambers.
Taking heavy breaths as Y/n grabbed the dagger that sat on his nightstand, unsheathing the blade and gripping it within his hands. The dagger then went through his stomach, it was less pain than he thought it would be. And to mark the final blow, he slit his own throat.
Letting go of the weapon and as it dropped to the floor his eyes rolled to the back of his head, also falling to the floor as his blood pooled around him and under him. Taking one last breath as he closed his eyes. Gabriel then came into the room seeing the prince dead in his own blood, putting his cold hand on Y/n’s forehead as he muttered a spell. The ‘angel’ then disappeared into white mist, as the only thing left in the room was Y/n’s body that was slowly going cold and the weapon of his suicide.
Hours later, Rhaenyra went to check up on her brother only to let out a blood curdling scream. Guards and Daemon soon flocked to her side seeing the prince’s dead body, Daemon took his wife away as the guards took care of the body.
Daemon thought the greens had done it, well others say there was a traitor in the guards, very few said it was suicide. Deep down, Rhaenyra knew it was most likely suicide, no murderer would leave behind their weapon, and the dagger that they found next to him was one of the prince’s own.
The dance of the dragons would start, Rhaenyra would avenge both her son Lucerys and her brother. A son for a son, a brother for a brother.
Y/n’s spirit has been guided to a different realm, to a place that looked like heaven and paradise, but just slightly darker. This. Was Gabriel’s realm.
It allowed him to see what was going on below in Westeros, he watched the war rage on in rather amusement. He became a lover to the god he worshipped.
How sad. That everyone else had a bad ending, he had a good one.
God was indeed cruel, but not to him.

Hello. I wonder if you are taking requests, can you write for Baelon, Aemon, Daemon Blackfyre, Rickard Stark, Eddard Stark, Stannis Baratheon, Roose Bolton as a husband?
Sup. I kinda realized along the way that i can't really do that number of characters on a request because the dopamine slips from my fingers. I did do the first ones, though, so have at it.
Tumblr media
Baelon strikes me, specially in his youth, as the type who just can't sit still. He got along with Alyssa for that same reason, she couldn't sit still either. How disappointed must she have been when he marries you! If Baelon is to be your husband, you better be ready to be always on the move, always doing something. Baelon was always the most intense of Jaehaerys' older boys, which might be overwhelming if his wife is not the same, factor that does too apply to the bedroom. Baelon wants to be with his wife time and again, and chances are the children will not take long to come as well. It might be a problem if he is with someone with a colder personality, more contained and rigid, the relationship might suffer the strain for it.
Tumblr media
I'm assuming you mean the Aemon who was Jaehaerys' son. Aemon might need a partner who will understand he's not trying to be difficult, he just wants to consider every possibility. He's likelier to be in love from afar than his younger brother, who will absolutely push him to go over to talk to you. But once things have settled, he'd be the sort to remember everything about you. Knows just what kind of food you like to eat, what you do when you're sad, how you like to celebrate, but is often shy to act on what he knows would be the best course of action. Aemon is the one who wants to know everything about everything, and that often makes him forget that he doesn't let on much about himself either. Your husband knows evertything about you, but you barely know what he likes best to eat. Maybe it's hard for him to talk about himself. Maybe it'll be even harder to notice he hasn't told you when his birthday is. He doesn't do it out of malice, mind you, but doesn't make it easier for his s/o. Treats them with all the care in the world… but do you really know where he went when he saddled Caraxes this morning?
Tumblr media
Daemon Blackfyre is his father's son -- though not necessarily in a negative way. He seems to have a difficulty in seeing how things end up long term, and wants things when he wants them. That might have been the case with his spouse as well. One day he barely knows they exist, the other, they can no longer live without them. I think a long term relationship with him would take a cyclic form, growing and fading time and again as the months come and go. This month he's bewitched by you, the next month, he can't stand the sight of you. It's not necessarily malicious, but it can become so if the opportunity arises. He needs time to fall in and out of love again and again, and is much more martial than his father had been. Things can shift in a matter of moments. The part of the cycle he's in dictates how he treats you when you're alone or in bed. He may be caring, giving, and will prioritize you over him when he's at the highest points, but at the lowest ones, it's about what he wants and what you're going to give him, with some measure of violence on the gesture, intentional or not. He is always present, though. The exception is war, to which he does not take you along. He may leave at whichever point in the rollercoaster, and while he's away, you can't expect to be the only one. But he always comes back missing you, and missing everything you represent. No matter how sometimes he may think he hates you, he knows he doesn't.
Tumblr media
Rickard Stark is the kind of man to put his hands on your shoulders while the both of you stare out of a window on a tower and ask you what do you see. When he looks, he sees into the distance, too far for you to know where. He was always an ambitious man, however quiet, silent that ambition was, and having a spouse to share that with would be a joy to him. To plot futures and scheme alliances. Yes, there must always be a Stark in Winterfell, but why shouldn't there be a Stark in court, or in the citadel, or overseeing the Narrow Sea? He is a rigid man, made to face whatever the winter throws at him, but the what ifs are too much to bear alone. His maester shared that ambition, and if you do not, rest assured, there will be conflict. And while he is open to new views, new ideas, he's also very keen on what he has learned as the right way to do things. He can be persuaded, of course, but that might take a while.
Tumblr media
Eddard Stark is nothing short of dutiful, and much harder to approach. He will always be by your side, like he has been taught a husband should, but truth is, he's got no clue what he's getting himself into. He makes his best effort, mind you, but he's not one to share his burdens or his opinions and emotions. His father knew what to do, his brother knew what to do, and he's been relying on the fact that people think he knows what he's doing since he became Lord of Winterfell. He needs clear words, honest and simple, to know what he can and should entrust you or not. Maybe he needs to be confided in before he can confide. If a cold marriage is what the future had in store for him, then so it is, but it's not what he wants, and finally being able to feel like he's not so alone anymore will definitely have its weight, however different from him you might be.

Some modern!kids lore:
- I feel like Aegon hates school from an early age he's more street smart than book smart. Which leads to him dropping out and moving away from OT to KL, working in somewhere like a bar or club? It fits the alcohol addiction plot. I think he has a complicated relationship with Alicent because growing up he saw how she was treated by Viserys but also at times maybe Alicent would be frustrated and grabbed at Aegon's hand a little too tight and it'd hurt him and when she realises what she's done she had a full blown breakdown hugs him and keeps saying how sorry she is. Rhaenyra and Aegon...they have a complicated thing too on one had he's her brother on another he's not Baelon he's Alicent's son sooo.... Also picture Criston getting a call from a jail in KL, Aegon's gotten arrested for being high, drunk and getting into a bar fight he didn't call Alicent ofc because he's fucking ashamed of himself, begs Criston not to tell his mom. Criston calling Gwayne and both of them catching the next flight to KL, they take Aegon to a rehab back in OT and have him get his act together.
- I feel like Helaena and Alicent have a close relationship basically the sound "a boy is the son of France but you Mary Theresa shall be mine" Alicent trys to keep Helaena far far away from everything and wants for her to be happy in her own lil bubble. I think Helaena and Rhaenyra would get on somewhat too because Rhaenyra always wanted a sister so now she has one. Helaena probably studies entomology.
- I think Aemond is somewhat Alicent's overachieving baby boy, he learned how to walk&talk sooner than all of his siblings, he regularly wants Alicent to read to him... He doesn't go through the same things Aegon dose because at that point Alicent has become accustomed to motherhood, she's learned to hide the truth of how she's feeling from her kids... Rhaenyra doesn't care for Aemond tbh he's just another reminder of what her mother died for, a son. Aemond probably gets two degrees one in business and another in history, he ends up managing the 25% shares Alicent got from the divorce.
- Daeron is Alicent's baby he is such a golden river tail and always loves to laugh and smile, like you said barley knows or remembers Viserys, he's just happy with his mama and uncles! He's much more open to getting to know Rhaenyra too in a way since had no memory of her except in some family photos. I feel like he'd be into sports and loves fencing probably goes pro with it and wins a couple medals.
I feel like it'd be ironic if it was reversed tho, like Viserys gets older and sicker and the guilt catches on to him he keeps have hallucinating and stuff asks for Alicent or even Aegon on his death bed so Rhaenyra goes to OT to ask Alicent and her estranged siblings to come home to say goodbye.
I'll send a different ask regarding my oc just to not get things messed up
YES! I WAS DYING FOR SOMEONE SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT THE POOR LITTLE GIRL + HEL AND ALICENT!!!!!
100% with Aegon story line, super him.
Aemond and Rhaenyra wouldn't even wave hands together if they saw each other across the street. He's the prodigy, certainly.
Daeron and sports is so him! He would be open to meet Rhaenyra, and anyone really, he's social butterfly.
Viserys is so problematic I want him to disappear already, but looking through this like I wouldn't mind following this line.
I love children lore, it's very rich.

hi babes this is my ep 3 review. this is a lil monday tradition i love to yap
lmao rhaenys subtly gagging rhaenyra and calling her out. i’m liking her more and more compared to the first season, she seems more rounded and actually a figure of peace instead of coping
now rhaenyra is coping lol. ‘a little boy murdered in his bed’ ‘but my throonee :((((‘
rhaenyra parentifying rhaena and making her go to her mother’s place of death to safeguard her sons 🙄 not even recognizing the burden she is putting in her. a white woman giving her children to raise to a black girl smh
i like a lot what they’re making with rhaena, giving her actual thoughts that often contradict her ‘side’. go get your hightower husband girl
why no one remembered that larys, yk, the greens’ master of whispers, is lord of harrenhal? like of course it is a green location? where is he? isn’t he a memeber of the council? why does he never attends council meetings?
lmao not daemon wishing to be called king when the proper title is king consort. let me just get a meme:
i just realized that alicent now dresses less ‘richly’ maybe to indicate frugality during war to the people. ‘look, we’re not having feasts while you starve’ kind of vibe. the green queen beloved of the smallfolk
and she is also less structured because she doesn’t need to cover herself for viserys. i enjoy her having the freedom to dress as she likes
as a sansa lover, i must say i love rhaena. go gentle princess with a good who feels everything too much and wears courtesy as a weapon. i love u
if they’re diminishing helaena’s grief and they’re not going to give me helaena taking revenge in dreamfyre istg 🤨🤨🤨
I KNEW THE ARMOR WAS VALYRIAN STEEEEELL 🔥🔥🔥 that’s why it doesn’t fit him it literally isn’t made for him. i hope it’s fireproof
egg promoting his lads 😭 medieval networking
lol larys is the kind of guy that suddenly comes to you with the weirdest true crime facts that leave you feeling icky. i love him
aegon did the alicent disappointed face to his kingsguard. neat party trick
not making baelon cheat on alyssa 🙄 our one successful sibling marriage and they take it from us
tbh if i was dyana you wouldn’t catch a glimpse of me after the meeting with alicent. fuck king’s landing, that stinky city. i would have alicent get me a little house in oldtown. a job as a cook. no chance of any dirty man getting his hands on me. why keep victimizing a character for no reason condal?
any dragonseed should zip it for good, unless you get something for your heritage. my mom was a lyseni whore, that’s what i would say. nobody asks you questions when you say your mom was a lyseni whore
aegon 🙄 i thought we were getting past this. i hope he apologizes, i’m tired of this aemond slander.
i dislike the full frontal scene with aemond. literally gratuitous, no one asked for it. and we know there’s awful people saying shit about ewan’s body, they now get another chance of making fun of his most intimate parts and aemond’s intimate moments. why.
finally some class conscience exploration with criston? are my prayers being answered?
lmao not rhaenyra getting another girl daemon. i dislike baela’s hot head since ever but if it gives me comedic relief i’ll take it
rhaenyra is his father’s daughter. not a compliment
i love how daemon barricades his door just to… open it when he thinks someone wants to get in. and gets out. big forehead not big brain.
MILLY APPEARS YAYYYY 🥰🥰🥰 jaehaerys noooooo 😭😭😭
i could see jae’s actor kinda winking, his little lashes twitching. he’s a baby and he’s doing his best omg 😭💕 it could be the candles tho
yes daemon cry i hate you
imagine you’re a kid and they tell you your job is to be still and have a pretty lady hum at you and touch your cheek. so comforting tbh
ALYS APPARITION YAYYYY 🥰🥰🔥 she’s as stunning and disturbing as i imagined her. devoured. ate him alive. as she should.
lmao of course alicent would think war is to be averted after seeing her grandson without a head 🙄 and if she does she’s dead to me istg
yes rhaenyra threaten a queen 🙄 of course she will react well and think of making peace with you. at gunpoint. classical targaryen.
also she literally smuggled a weapon into a church. threatened to spill blood in a holy place. then ask why people don’t believe you have any morals or respect for anything.
alicent asking her if she’s surrending it’s so funny loool
once again, alicent talks about a child’s murder. rhaenyra brings up the throne. i’m done with her tantrums.
did you betray him at your very last, alicent? don’t you know you owe loyalty to your rapist and jailer, alicent? don’t you know you’re not allowed to want, alicent?
that’s how rhaenyra sounds.
i love how rhaenyra doesn’t spare a thought to surrender yet wants to pretend bloodshed concerns her. lmao.
alicent, i’m back. go green queen.

Before Aemma died she looked in other side, due to the pain (being cut open) and she was begging to stop, she noticed Modern Reader, who was held by Guards. Aemma saw how her precious child tried to save her life and was begging to Viserys to stop. “FATHER! FATHER STOP THEM! LET ME GO! LET ME GO! MOTHER!!!”- Modern Reader screamed at Guards, at anyone to stop this process, and Yandere platonic Aemma saw that, unfortunately she died, but the baby lives (but dies soon). When Modern Reader managed to get out of the grip of the Guards, she pushes midwives and rushes to Aemma, and holds her close. “Mother, mother, please, no no no, please, don’t”-and she cries. Then she looks at Viserys “WHY?! WHY DID YOU LET THIS HAPPEN?!!!”- Modern Reader yells at Viserys. “Y/N… I…”- but Viserys doesn’t finish the sentence, because maester came, holding the baby: “Congratulations, your Grace. It’s a boy.” And Modern Reader looks at boy then at Viserys with a wide eyes filled with tears and she hears the baby cry. Modern Reader holds Aemma’s body closer and she hopes that Aemma is breathing that she’s alive, but no, Aemma is dead, her mother is dead, died in front of her eyes. Then Modern Reader says next words that would haunt Viserys for the rest of his life “I…hate…you…Viserys…” and notice Reader didn’t called him a father, but his name, which would hurt more.
Witnessing Aemma’s death changes Modern Reader completely, although Reader tries to be strong for Rhaenyra and her family, but it’s difficult and yet she tries to be strong. The reason why Reader was hoping that Aemma was alive was because Aemma’s chest fell completely. In other words Aemma died in Reader’s arms (this hurts a lot, I’m crying). But there’s a good thing- Aemma saw how Reader tried to save her and I think she would appreciate it
I imagined that when Aemma’s soul left her dead body, she saw how Modern Reader was holding her close. I think she would visit Reader in her dreams.
Modern Reader: M-mother?
Dead Yandere platonic Aemma: Thank you for being there for me and trying to save me, my daughter. I’m sorry that you have to see this.
Aemma holds Reader’s face, her thumb drive away the tears. “Know that I don’t and would never blame you, my child, my precious child. I’m glad that we found you. I love you, I will always love you, my daughter”- Aemma kisses Reader’s forehead and is walking away (time to leave the live world, you know) and when she was walking away, Modern Reader tried to catch her, but some power would hold her still, not letting her go. “No, no, don’t go… Mother, mother please don’t go. Mother! Mother don’t leave me, don’t leave us. Mother! MOTHER!!!”
“Y/N-Y/N wake up, wake up!” And Modern Reader awakes, she noticed Yandere platonic Rhaenyra who was sitting by her side. “You-you were crying and you were calling our mother in the dream.”- Rhaenyra explained. “In…a dream?”-Reader asks, then she noticed tears on her face and then Rhaenyra holds her close, giving a hug to Modern Reader.
That just hurts. So can you write reactions from Yandere Rhaenyra and Alicent, and maybe Aemma before she died? I think Modern Reader would tell Rhaenyra that she saw her mother and tell the scenario I wrote above.
After that day, the reader never said Viserys father. She calls King. This is severe punishment for Viserys. Rhaenyra always tries to put her reader at ease. She says her mother's loss was not her fault. After hearing her dream, Rhaenyra hugs the reader and cries. I think there was baby Baelon in the dream part. Alicent does its best to support the reader. This person put me at ease a little bit. The reader had the chance to say goodbye to his mother for the last time.

how do you think jaehaerys and alysanne would handle raising a child with aerion brightflame-style madness? I know there's an argument to be made that all the "mad" targaryens are products of trauma but like, maybe being raised by jaehaerys is enough to drive a kid to do budding serial killer shit. they'll obviously handle it differently depending on whether the mad child is a boy or a girl but maybe jaehaerys would stop coddling a son if he reminded him of maegor.
now first of all, i think like you said, that growing up in That Family is trauma enough to drive you insane, and even a cursory look through real life monarchs will show you that a lot of these bitches were deeply unhappy with their lives and not even a little prepared for what was coming for them. i think all that plus jae & aly’s shitty parenting is plenty of trauma lol.
but second of all.....okay i actually had to sit with this for a while. this is what people mean when they say jaehaerys is only considered a good king because he's completely untested. all his opps are cartoonishly stupid like morion or rogar's dumb brothers and the few he does beat...he's not actually that important in beating (see: Maegor, the pirates in Tarth, etc). and all his sons are picture perfect boys! aemon and baelon have zero personality whatsoever; they never contradict him, they never argue with him, they never show themselves to have any sort of unsavory proclivities, they're perfectly content with the incestuous marriages picked out for them. vaegon is shuffled off to the maesters because he's a nerd and he's happier for it. all of jaehaerys' other sons die in the cradle! this man has NO SPICE!!!
ANYWAYS!!!!!! third of all (did i even make a second point besides yet again i hate jaehaerys? whose to say), i think so long as the kid is born after aemon and baelon, he's probably not a problem. there's ways jaehaerys can deal with a crazy ass third or fourth born son the same way he deals with having a nerd for a son. he can send him to the wall, to the maesters, to the faith, to the kingsguard. Baelon lives for quite a number of years so even tho he pre-deceases his father, there's still not likely a succession issue here. jaehaerys is also likely to pay way more attention to his sons, notice some weird behavior, and just go "ok this one is being given to the Wall haha yes we LOVE the north" or something. and if the kid remains dragonless, he can deal with a "targaryen crazy" son the way he deals with the women he considers "targaryen crazy" aka rhaena, aerea, and saera which is to say he can just banish them. a targaryen without a dragon is just not particularly powerful, especially one is way down in the line of succession. he can deprive them of the ability to cause damage because he has complete say over the dragons, then he can ignore the problem as it grows worse and worse until it explodes, and go "well i did everything a parent is meant to do and you're a loser so exile."
is this a mean answer. maybe. but i don't think jaehaerys is the sort of parent who could successfully handle a child with empathy problems or mental health issues (look at the way he talks to daella), and when we look at the way he treats vaegon and saera, we see him just ignore them until they're having little meltdowns in his face, then they get shuffled off, and i think that's likely to be his approach.

You just said Alysanne doesn’t really care aboht Viserys but what about Aemma? I mean, Rhaenys is obviously her favorite, but Aemma is Daella’s daughter being set up to be a child bride like her mom “Alysanne’s little flower” but Alysanne doesn’t do anything? Does Aemma (probably unwillingly or unknowingly as like an 11 year old) helping Baelon/Viserys bypass Rhaenys make Alysanne write her off as just Viserys’s bride?
some important things to keep in mind about alysanne, she was her brothers child bride grown up into his broodmare. and she only speaks out about how jaehaerys treated their daughters after theyre gone.
im squinting and im seeing a few things, a need to live vicariously through her daughters (viserras marriage to someone alysannes age), the need to recreate her and jaehaerys relationship (alyssa and baelon) ,almost to prove to herself that its okay. if one of her daughters can marry their brother, grow up to have a bunch of babies together, and be happy then surely alysanne must be happy too. some learned helplessness and maybe a bit of hypocrisy too.
alysanne can be upset about the marriage between vis and aemma because she knows aemma is too young and is scared of her sharing her mothers fate, and still approve the marriage cause some part of her hopes that it works. that viserys and aemma will be like jae and her (they will but not in the way she thinks or wants)
alysanne can hate viserys for marrying aemma and mourn what she thinks will happen, but still do nothing in the moment to help her and almost write off aemma because “theres nothing she can do :/“

I like parts of the Maester conspiracy theory but what I don’t like abt it is it’s used to blame everything that’s ever gone wrong for the targs on someone else & absolve them of any responsibility for negative actions. I can believe they hate magic, because all the types of magic we’ve seen in asoiaf is destructive and/or requires sacrifice of an unwilling innocent, and they want order and peace for the realm (how is that a bad thing??). I can even believe they may have poisoned the remaining eggs during aegon III’s time to prevent another dance from ripping apart the realm. I don’t think they are anti woman troglodytes who do things just to cause mass suffering, that’s not in line with what we’ve seen of any maesters besides maybe pycelle (besides, making targ women suffer is the hobby of targ men). I don’t think they somehow killed aemma arryn/baelon to install Alicent hightower. I’m willing to be generous and see how that’s a plausible theory to someone being told the broad strokes & not all the facts bc hightower = oldtown = citadel and all that. But we know the maesters were the ones telling viserys to leave her alone for a few more years, we know that her trying for kids too young is what made her weaker, which then eventually killed her. If the goal is to see her dead, why the hell were they trying to preserve her health? Wouldn’t they have encouraged viserys to start impregnating aemma the moment her cycle began? The situation is very clearly written to show viserys’ desperation to not be like jaehaerys & to have a son and heir, which culminates in him losing his wife and their most recent baby all at once. I don’t think the maesters caused summerhall. Even though I unironically love egg & will be saddened if I’m proven right & he’s the one who did the deed (again, willing to be gracious & say the experiment got out of control, but it’s more likely to me that he was intentionally sacrificing family members to hatch the eggs), it makes no sense for maesters to have done it just bc pycelle & tywin were alive and shady at the time. I think egg doing it makes sense with what we’ve seen of targaryen self destructive obsession & how desperate egg was to have dragons bc of war/trouble with the lords. Also some other things mentioned in dunk & egg that I’m not arsed to fully flesh out in my ramblings lol. Idk my point is some things abt the theory are plausible and some things sound like qanon supporters talking about The Deep StateTM to avoid talking about the failings/losses of their favorite politicians.

Anarchy Preempted AU with Fem!Jace and male!Baela 🧍‍♀️
Jace would probably think giving Baelon kids and reaffirming “his claim” would save Luke. Because obviously he will be the ‘real’ ruler of the two of them when she reaches majority! Probably too dark an au actually, but you usually make everything emo so I’m trying to keep it on brand. 😂
I wasn't sure if this was a drabble request or just an idea of how this verse would go - behind a cut as longish (and dark) if you want a drabble request give me an age and i'll try!
It would be dark, I think yeah. I do think Jacaera would be less convinced she was going to die as a girl whose claim can be ignored even if Daemon has inexplicably crowned her and constantly convinced Luke was, which is not too helpful for her state of mind. And she knows what her fate is likely to be as a captured girl from the start.
Like when Laena came to get Jace for the wedding in the main fic he was clueless at first, but Jacaera would be given a wedding cloak and panic and be frantically telling Lady Laena she hasn't flowered and not really here for listening to reassurence. Only Baelon being her age would calm her down.
Jace is engaging with Baela on the wedding night because you have to be nice to girls where as Baelon would be getting yes my lord husbanded to death by Jacaera (and still cross about the insult to his grandfather if that had been said.)
Jacaera would desperately to hide when she flowered (ala Sansa - possibly with less panic and slightly more success but not much.)
I think a turning point would have been when Daemon dragged Jace out of the sept and they fell down and bloodied their nose - he'd be much sorrier to have done it to a girl (not that Jacaera believes him) but when he gets back to the keep and Baelon who is more likely to be in the yard than Baela and see his strange quiet little wife who hates him with her busted up nose he'd be outraged "Have you stuck my wife?"- he punches his dad in the face. This goes badly for him because he's still a preteen and Daemon punches back out of instinct but is probably their first moment of connection. He tried.
Saving Rhaena getting her improved treatment (or less ignoring from Baelon because I think he'd be less snappy than female Baela. Laena did install some manners in him about not being rude to girls that just don't have the same connontations for Baela being rude to a boy, husband or not and Laena is there to reinforce them) would probably only confirm to Jacaera he'd rather have married Rhaena and is stuck with her. Rather than thinking he could just being happy his sister isn't dragonfodder. And got a dragon.
Also without Jace holding the line they probably would be sharing a bed earlier ala Rhaenys saying Laena would bed Viserys at 14. But nothing would be happening Baelon's not dumb and not into unwilling (he remains unaware of the gender politics behind brothel work - so that anon can fuck off if they are about to start) so he didn't touch her and just cut his hand and marked the sheet when it started. Jacaera is like this is because I'm not pretty (and he's also still out making his own arrangements for sex) which is unhelpful for her thoughts on that front. (So yes cheating he literally thinks his wife doesn't want him so what does she care. ) Jacaera is getting side eye from the maids and then Rhaenys (when she's in town because she's extra mad Daemon has crowned a ten year old Queen) every time she gets her moonblood and Laena like encouraging maybe next month while Jacaera is thinking not likely. Jacaera wouldn't push like Baela so her attempts would be assuring Baelon she would do her duty and he's backing out of the room like that's the least hot thing anyone has ever said.
Jacaera didn't go to driftmark when Laena went into Labour either because Baelon was fully available as no-one summons a son to his mother's childbed (I mean normally - Jace and Luke got to in canon but I think the childbed and the war breaking out at once made an exception.)
Jacaera might be able to hold Alyssa and hint she wants a baby - she could use that plot and Baelon like ah? with me? you don't otherwise seem keen.
Honestly I think Jacaera could keep it all in until she gives birth to a daughter and Baelon is like we can call her Rhaenyra. He's trying and the hormones over take over and she's in tears like I needed a boy so your family don't kill my brother. Baelon :what now?
