i just wanna vent about something that happened yesterday and no one has to read this or care but i just woke up and its still on my mind so

so, as we all know, i am fat. I stand about 5'6 as well. so i am not a tiny cutesy lil bunny girl, okay?

now, i love my body. on most days, i think im pretty hot even. i have tattoos and piercings, a mullet, an hourglass shape, big butt, big thighs and a relatively small waist in comparison to the rest of me. I do have a belly OBVIOUSLY but ive even learned to love that after multiple men have fallen over themselves just to get the opportunity to worship it.

but it took me a LONG time to get there. up until age 23 or so, i was always dressed in oversized clothes, hiding everything thing i could, my self esteem was in the toilet. i didn't do my hair or makeup, it didn't matter because in my mind i would always be fat and ugly.

onto the story:

so i work at an art store, we also sell jewelry and clothing and lots of gemstones. its very mountainy, the point of our store is to be able to share the Appalachian culture with others.

we have these gemstone stretch bracelets that are pretty popular, but sometimes the inner band gets worn down when customers come in and play with them too much. it happens.

so some of my first customers the other day were not my usual clientele. they were a younger (20s?) african American couple dressed very in tune with current fashion. (our typical demographic is middle aged white women)

i give em the whole rundown yada yada local art lemmie know if you need me here are our sales and go back to rearranging earrings. they didn't seem interested in talking to me and thats fine i actually prefer the customers who don't like to engage much. they're standing on business just like me; there's being shopping and mine being these fucking earrings that make me wanna die.

so they poke around and i do my job and eventually the girl brings up one of our gemstone bracelets and a ring her up, cut the tag off so she can wear it out and i thought that would be the end of it.

a few minutes later she brings it back to me with one of the inner bands busted and says "i think i broke this, im sorry." i tell her its fine and walk her over to the display so we can pick out a replacement and she points to one and i get it down for her and take the broken one off her wrist and slide the new one on and as im doing this im casually customer servicing "dont worry, this happens sometimes, its not your fault. kids think these are toys so they come in and strech them too far and then the band wears down yada yada blah blah"

and she, so quietly and so sad, goes:

"i think im just too big for them"

and it wasn't until this point that i realized what was happening. i hadn't realized how big this girl was until she said that. she was fat, too but probably had a better bmi than me because she was TALL, maybe six foot? Wide frame.

but it just made me so sad. i assured her that wasn't the case, that smaller people broke these all the time but i was so overwhelmed bc yall this girl was gorgeous.

she dressed nice, her skin was clear (and soft from what i could tell touching her wrist), her hair was slicked back in cute little puff balls and she smiled absolutely intoxicating like there was no reason for her to hate anything about herself. she had pretty chocolate puppy dog eyes and long lashes and full lips and she was so SO pretty like im telling you guys. she wasn't even wearing makeup!! just out here naturally looking like that.

anyway maybe im just not doing well but its the next day and i can't stop thinking about her. i literally woke up in tears over it. of course i told her that wasnt true but i couldve done more. I couldve hugged her and told her how beautiful she was i was just so shocked i dont know.

i hope shes doing okay, i don't think ill ever forget her.

The sun had set hours earlier but that didn’t stop you. Unrelenting you continued through the heat and the exhaustion. You couldn’t stop. Not now. Not after everything you had gone through. Even before this, you wouldn’t allow yourself to stop. Being one of America’s pride and joys serving as a respected sergeant. You had served 10 years before the world went to shit and it made you laugh now. You always thought that the meaning of your life - the purpose - was to protect and serve against threats to the U.S.A. If only you knew that your greatest threat was against the dead now living. You were grateful, more than anything. You had a lot more in this world than others did. And now 5 1/2 years later you were still going. Never stopping. Not for anything.

 Except... when you caught wind of a certain curly-haired man. He was being attacked and was substantially outmanned. You thought the best use of your time was to protect people just like you had in your previous life. The man was cornered now by the time you’d made the decision to help him. Three men dressed in leather charged him with any weapon they could find. He fought against them - to the best of his ability. Which seemed to be skilled at least. You gripped your trusty rifle, aimed the scope and without hesitation fired. 

One man fell. 

Then the next. 

And then the last. 

The blue-eyed man scoured the area for you, curious about the location of the shots. You, however, were smarter than that. You didn’t know this man. You didn’t know if he deserved what those men would’ve done to him but you did know trust is to be earned in this world not given carelessly. You ducked away out of his vision. But you never strayed far from the man. 

You could say curiosity got the better of you. Naturally and from a very young age, you’d always pester, investigate, fight for answers when they really weren’t warranted. Your mom used to tell you how curiosity killed the cat but you preferred to say it saved the cat. Being curious never hurt anyone and it certainly came as an advantage to you. When meeting people you knew how to hide, how to watch. And yes it may be creepy but it was necessary. You weren’t stupid, far from it, so why stop your ways now? 

The man didn’t return back to a camp after the attack - one that you knew he had due to his clean and well-presented appearance. He continued through the area, meeting up with a tall brooding man accompanied with a crossbow. The two seemed close. Although despite how few words conversed between them, you knew they were. If either of them fell into some trouble the other protected. They were family - maybe not blood - but no doubt in your mind we’re they like brothers. 

It had been days now and these men were still on their run. By this time you were even doubting if this was worth it but you shook off the thoughts and continued. It wasn’t your intention to draw attention to yourself. Hell, it was something you were taught against. But it happened. You, rather carelessly, stumbled across them. It all happened so fast. You saw someone in the woods - walker maybe. But at that moment you decided against your inner workings and ran. Stupidly you ran straight into this man. 

“Watch it,” He growled pushing you back slightly. They glared at you threateningly, guns were drawn. 

“Wha’ ta hell ya doin’?” The crossbowman snapped. His deep southern accent growing darker through his words. He was on edge. It being clear that interactions like this hadn’t always been a blessing. 

“Was just passing through. Calm yourself, alrigh’?” 

Unimpressed he looked to the blue-eyed man who was fixed on your stance. “You looked in a hurry. Trouble heading this way?” The man inquired warily. 

“Nah not really,” You paused looking back to the area, “Well maybe I'm not sure.” 

“Not sure? What's back there?” He looked at you suspiciously hand still grasped around his colt python. You didn't say anything to them as a sound overcame the atmosphere. It sounded like a twig, perhaps just a wondering dead but they didn't see the rational side. "Who are you? Who are you with?" The blue-eyed man barked edging the pistol closer to your face. 

"Hey, chill man. My names y/n, alright? And I'm not with anyone. I'm on my own, okay?" The men shared a look before turning back to you unbelievingly. You opened your mouth to justify your case but was interrupted by a smack to the side of your head. You fell to the ground, gazing at the two men still.

And then... nothing.

Hours later your eyes snapped open. Alert, you searched through the room. It was a cell. A traditional one with an iron gate. One you knew from past experience weren't the easiest to break out of. Especially after spotting a man floating around the exit. "Hello?" Your head burned as you spoke likely due to a concussion but you powered through it. The man stopped pacing and glared at you. He was a dark-skinned man, holding what looked like a stick. But the main thing was that he was clean. You had noticed earlier how the two men didn't look as ragged and dirty as you did. Telling you they had a home. Now seeing him proved it. 

"Hello," He said back, "Names Morgan, yours?" Your rational side shut your mouth for you. You didn't know these people. Hell, they kidnapped you. They didn't deserve your name. And you resented how you caved earlier and told those people. "Not much of a speaker, huh?" Again silence, "You didn't have to be afraid of me. I won't hurt you." 

Begrudgingly you responded, "I'm not afraid of you." "Your not?" "No, I'm not. Not of you. Not of those men who brought me here. Not of anyone," Morgan almost laughed at your response. 

"You're quite brave, aren’t you?" You shrugged etching a smile on his face, "you'll fit right in here." 

"Who says I want to stay?" You countered. "I have a feeling," He smirked before another person entered the room. 

"They awake?" Morgan nodded and exited. 

The blue-eyed man from earlier entered your view. No words were exchanged between the two of you. You understood he still perceived you as a threat, which you knew you very well could be. You'd do what you have to. That's what you told yourself. After years of service to the army that swam around your mind like a mantra. You'd done some horrific things for your country now and before but you didn't let it rot you to the core like your comrades. You did what you had to. There was never an exception. So if these people decided to try something you'd do what you have to. 

"Who are you?" He interrogated swiftly. Telling you that this wasn't his first rodeo. He was a cop or maybe even in the army like you. 

"I already told you," Coldly you returned.

Charmed 02x17 SPOILERS!!!!!

Okay yall havent had time to do one of these in a while. But I had time to do a rewatch and so I am ready.

Non-spoilery part of this . . . I give the episode a 9/10. The writing (on its own and I'll get into it later) was better than many episodes this season so far. I have mentioned it multiple times this season that episodes 1 to 3 of this season had a different style and scope and (imo) writing pace than the rest of the season except for some of the most recent episodes. While I did have some favorite episodes later on everything pretty much after three didnt feel as grand as far as style went. These last few episodes the writing and style just got turned up. Which is actually great and super frustrating. The writers seem to have the same problem they had last season that is proper plot development/management. We shouldnt be getting all the interesting stuff at the beginning dragging everything out and making no plot progression, then theoughing in all the interesting stuff at the end to get us to stick around. We should have gotten the more plot development throughout the season not just big info bombs ever so often with little devoplement everywhere else.

Here is the truth and I hate it, we had more meaningful screen time and character development with Mel and Abby this one episode than in the entire season. Which is a no-no in my book. The episode on it's own is solid, interesting, and I argue well written, but it should have happened earlier. The things that were good about this episode should have been implemented this entire season. I mean not show will have an A + episode everytime. There will be filler. But it has honestly felt like the writers didnt know what they were doing with certain characters development until last minute. I don't know if that's true, it is just how it has come off to me. So I can understand the frustrations people have felt with this season and its writing. I have them but this episode had me invested and on the edge of my seat. I am excited for more. Which honestly hasnt been the case for many of the episodes this season. I dont mind the last minute overused troupe. I love fanfiction and so I do not easily tire of them, but again pulling it towards the end of the season when many plotlines have been subpar or are least handled in a subpar manner . . .

But on to the spoilers. I am going to go back to the standard likes, dislikes, and episode highlights

1. Abigael character development

Like yall it wasnt much, but like it was more than this entire season so far. I still have no idea what they are doing with Abby-and for me personally it is a little too late to salvage the damage-but the development was actually welcomed. It should have happened sooner. The writers need to pick a lane at this point and just reveal what they want us to think about her (you know like they do with plot bombs) because after some of the stuff and little character development some of us have just soured to Abby. I dont actually dislike the character I just am fustrated with the poor development overall. But I mean had they been doing these little moments across the season rather than setting her up in that weird, poorly handled, and now seemingly dropped love shape with her Harry and Macy (they completely didnt need to have her in there they could have introduced julian earlier on rather than put Macy in a relationship with him after she seemed to realize she had feelings for Harry and then it wouldnt have seemed like she was using julian as much).

2. Mel and Abby moments

The plot was interesting, the development of both characters was better. I mean seriously yall Mel admitting her mom wasnt perfect!!! Given the basic Marisol worship mel had last season and the lack so far of acknowledgement that Marisol made mistakes (regarding thier lives and Marisols marriage). Honestly if they had dropped the Abby Harry crap and had more mel and abby or abby Macy (considering I felt mads and poppy had some great on screen chemistry in the beginning and played well off each other even though it was antagonistic after episode 2) moments like these I feel not only would we know the character better but wed have had better plotlines overall.

Although I think Mel is too quick to overlook all of Abby's past behavior . . . She killed innocent witches and wants to be a demon overlord (or wanted, we dont know what she wants now). But Mel recognizing her mother's flaws and being open to th possibility of being wrong (something she has struggles with both seasons and only gets slightly addressed, if it gets addressed, when it happens) I mean I am here for it.

3. Jordan

I think what has been missing this season is the wittiness of last season and also the genuine fluff. I mean Jordan's comment about kissing Aunt Viv. 10 stars clever (true and revealing about inequity in punishment and treatment of men of color when it comes to sexual assult and harrassment) His excitement over magic. I mean in a lot of ways Jordan is what Galvin should have been/tried to be, but the writers can't seem to do relationship drama and good character development at the same time so....

Jordan is the best and I hope the writers dont mess it up.

4. Julian

So I like the reveal, because I think there is still room to wonder what exactly Julian does and doesnt know. What I understood from this episode is that Julian is behind the experiments in that he started them but the the creatures with those healing powers so that he can take those and use them to heal other. My guess is through creating "more" whitelighters or maybe they og thought they'd just figure out how to raise the dead. Julian at his core (so far) wants to help as many people as possible. Does he know that the creatures die in the process? Is he utilitarian and thinks it is justified? Or is aunt Viv the head person of the actual goings on and Julian is far enough removed from all of it he can emotionally detached from that. Like how for some people it is easier to hear about death than it is to witness it. I think most people are like this but I wont generalize.

Will he change his mind or will we see a different more sinister side of Julian. Like I am interested in getting to know more about his character now, because he has sort of been there as a plot prop more than an interesting character with development. Which is on the writers, the actor is killing it.

5. Hacy

Yall dont get me wrong I think after all the bad writing and angst that the writers did for most of this season, to pull a stunt like that basically at the end of the season was soo wrong.

But I feel that on it's own these moments of Macy confronting and admitting her feelings, the confession, and the little moments (like that face caress and holding him when they get him out of the cointainer) were precious.

That's the stuff we needed more of. Instead of the passive aggressiveness. I know some people hate the amnesia troupe but I prefer it to what they did with the abigael kiss and the jealousy love shape stuff.

Dislikes

1. Middle finger to season 1 and Galvin

Like dont get me wrong, emotional issues dont disappear from one moment to the other and some trauma takes years to overcome if it ever is overcome. But like wasnt Macy admitting she was lonely her whole life and it affected her ability to attach to people and recognize when she wanted someone the basic plot of season 1. I mean she straight up says in the last season that she was so concerned about whether someone wanted her that she never considered what she wanted. And then she says she wants Galvin and now she is saying she never realized when she wanted someone

I think a lot of season 1 has in some ways been "redone" this season. I dont like it because we came here from season 1. We recognized it was flawed. But we still invested time into it. I didnt mind a lot of it, in the beginning to be honest (maybe because I felt it was mostly scenery and vibe than actual erasing plot) but particularly in this episode it felt they were basically saying, "let's pretend it never happened" about the whole first season....okay harry.

In some ways I liked the sort of do over of some character types. I like Jordan as the "mortal in the know" more so than Galvin. I just dont think Galvin was well developed and handled last season. They are doing better with Jordan which is good because if they had messed up the writing for him too I would have been casting my "yall coming off as racist again, do better" look. My biggest fear is that they will mess up Jordan especially if they progress his relationship with Maggie. The writers seem unable to write good/healthy relationships and character development and still give good plotlines at the same time.

oh god, this anime played with my feelings so hard, it’s not even funny. the story is sad and it’s so beautifully animated i wanted to cry sometimes. and even tho i lowkey find the relationship between Violet and that dude (you know which one if you’ve seen it, but i forgot his name, pls forgive me) slightly problematic, i still wanna hug her and tell her how proud i am of her.

8. Levi Ackerman from Attack on Titan

okay, so i might be cheating a bit when i say his name since i’m not really into aot anymore, but i still do read the manga and i will watch season 4, bc i wanna know what happens to him. he also took up most of my free time last year, so it’s only fair if i name him.

like man i love realism as much as the next guy, but when it’s piled on too thick it’s just a drag to stick with, you know???

i watch a mediocre tv show that wants very badly to be a wholesome family western drama. it’s called when calls the heart and it lacks diversity. it lacks good writers. it lacks a good budget. it has its good moments of course. there are some amazing characters, some lovely moving scenes... but it’s not The Family Western Drama, and so a number of fans put it down because they think it ought to be more like The Family Western Drama of the 90s: dr. quinn medicine woman. 

which was one helluva brave show for its time!! don’t get me wrong here. it dealt with scary topics for the 90s: homophobia, racism, domestic violence, and the most controversial topic they dealt with (according to lashback from viewers): hitting children is abuse.

but the characters in dr. quinn are downright HATEFUL when you look away from the main cast and their bffs. the townsfolk are all extremely racist, bigoted, sexist, violent, women-hating pigs who want to shoot literally everyone for any possible reason they can come up with. they don’t change. all they do is hate, have an episode arc of learning something or maybe some backstory that makes you feel something for them, and they go right back to being hateful again. 

and look, i do wish wcth had more courage. i do. i rEALLY do. the structure is sound. it could be so good if it tried and it had the budget. but it doesn’t, and it isn’t, and honestly? i’m okay with that.

sometimes it’s nice to have a piece of media where the men aren’t all irredeemable fuckwads!!! where i can pretend the town is made up of open minded loving people who usually mean well and aren’t hateful!

it’s soothing to watch a show where i don’t have to see men treating women with blatant disrespect, where i don’t have to look at them being viewed by the characters as property. where the saloon in the show DOESN’T HAVE whores at all, let alone whores that are OWNED BY THE OWNER and regularly treated like shit throughout the series. 

like look i get it, yall like dr. quinn cause it’s “”””realistic”””” but it’s hard to enjoy a show that’s just more of the same irl stuff i deal with AND it never gets better AND the characters all remain civil and friendly AND it’s just accepted that that’s how those characters are AND--

i mean, i get having to be civil to your neighbors because you’re the town doctor and this is now your home and you have kids to take care of!! but how can you love a town where nearly everyone in it wants your cheyanne friends dead and would shoot them themselves if given half a chance? like, i can’t love that town. and i want to love a town a tv show centers around.

gilmore girls featured stars hollow and it was a nice town. not everyone was wholesome and good but there were people to like. the town means something to the characters = it should mean something to me by proxy. who didn’t fall in love with avonlea in anne of green gables, right? hope valley is likable. colorado springs in dr. quinn is not. it’s hateful.

anyway i just wanted to vent. dr. quinn is a decent show. sometimes it’s really good. but most of the time i just sit there and prefer mediocrity. i want to like the town! i want to like the featured male characters! i want to like the world these characters come from, even if it’s not always kind to them. but in dr. quinn it’s like??? i can’t. i hate the town. it’s shit.

as a writer i want flaws. i like seeing characters change and evolve. but in dr. quinn it’s like they don’t ever change. they’re still nasty and evil and willing to turn on one another at the drop of a hat. the fans say it’s good, realistic writing. i say it’s trash writing on a good budget. again, “””dark””” material doesn’t make the writing good. if i’m gonna watch mediocrity i’d rather it be something that gives me characters and a town i enjoy seeing on the screen, even if it’s “not realistic” or “fake.”

and like, i’ve dissed when calls the heart for trying too hard to be “feminist” and accidentally going in the other direction, but at least they made an effort? at least they tRIEd to give us strong characters? sure they failed and disappointed me but i can tell there was an effort. and their failure generally didn’t ruin the characters for me, either.

it’s painful watching dr. mike forgive the evils of her fellow townspeople every single episode only for them to be fine letting her or her kids or her beau or the cheyanne or the immigrants die because of one (1) minor thing happening

(and hey i know shit like typhus was a big deal but maybe actually write the fear in there and make a real episode about it? it stops meaning something when your characters fly off the handle about lITERALLY everything. like at this point neal and i start a new episode with: who’s gonna be irredeemably evil today? hank, jake, or loren?)

maybe i’m being a little unfair. it’s interesting to have a town of characters where some are just completely terrible people and that’s just how it is because they’re There and It’s Their Town Too and so on.

but that doesn’t mean i want to watch it. and i don’t think it necessarily means it’s a better written show, either. it’s just exhausting to me. i don’t need to see more anger. i’m tired of it. it’s everywhere.

You didn’t hesitate to kiss him back.

One of Anthony’s hand traveled back up and cupped your face, bringing it higher so that he could get a better angle of your lips. The kiss got deeper and deeper by the second. It started out hard and fast, but the more you two got used to the taste of each other’s mouth, the slower the kiss became.

His lips slowly caressed yours, sliding his tongue between your lips. You moaned and he responded by lightly pulling on your hair. Your bodies were still grinding to the music, and the kiss was still getting hotter. Your arms snaked around his neck and your fingers buried themselves deep into his curls.

When Anthony started biting your lip, you felt a vibration from the back of your jeans.

You broke away from the kiss and Anthony groaned.

“I think my pants are vibrating.”

“Kinky.” Anthony mumbled. He started to kiss your neck while you took your phone out to check who it was that was calling you.

It was Phillipa. She had called you ten minutes ago, and the vibration that you felt was her sending a text.

“Hey, pick up your phone”

“I’m heading home soon, do you want anything to eat?” She texted.

“Antho- Mmmmm…” You moaned when Anthony started sucking your skin. “Wait, no stop.” He pulled away and looked at you.

“What’s up?”

“Phillipa is going home now and we’re nowhere near there.”

“Oh shit.” he said. He grabbed your arm and started dragging you towards the door.

“Oh my god, I’m so wasted. She’s gonna know I went out.”

“Relax. She can’t get mad at you for leaving the house. Didn’t she tell you to go out and do something?”

“Kinda? Wait, slow down. You’re gonna make me sick.”

“That’s not something I hear often.” Anthony mumbled, slowing down to let you breath.

Your phone vibrated again.

Another text from Phillipa. “I’m like 20 minutes away, I guess youre asleep.”

“Aw shit, she’s almost home. We gotta hurry.” You said, starting to walk faster.

Anthony was finally able to hail down a cab.

“Hey, if you make it there as fast as you can, I’ll give you an extra $20 tip.” Anthony said after he told the cabbie where to go.

“Does that mean you want me to run some red lights?” He asked, turning around to look at the both of you.

“Do whatever you want.” You said.

The cabbie shrugged and drove off. You and Ant were pushed back by the force of the car’s speed.

The cab got in front of your apartment building 10 minutes later. You both ran up the stairs, knowing the elevator was probably going to take too long.

Once inside your apartment, you and Anthony took a breath.

“We did it.” Anthony said. Suddenly you heard Phillipa and Steven’s voice from behind the door.

“Oh fuck. You’re not supposed to be here.” You said. Anthony looked around, searching for a way out.

“My window!” You whisper-shouted. Anthony nodded and followed you into your room.

You practically pushed him out of your window. “Hurry up!”

“Hey, wait! Don’t I get a goodbye?”

You rolled your eyes. You gave Ant a kiss on the cheek and he smiled, then left. You shut the window and heard the front door open.

“Y/N!” Phillipa called out. You quickly took off your jeans and threw on your pajama bottoms.

“I’m in my room!” You answered. Phillipa walked in, wearing a short dress and high heels.

“How was the date?” You asked, giving her a wink.

She giggled and sat down on your bed. “It was fun. Me and Steve went pretty far and we tried like three different restaurants.” She turned her head to the side. “What’s that on your neck?”

“What?” You said, turning around to look in the mirror. Right there, in the middle of your neck, was the biggest fucking hickey to ever exist in mankind.

“Oh, I dropped my phone on me last night.” You explained.

“Damn, how high did you have the phone? Mine has dropped on me but its never that bad.”

You shrugged your shoulders. Phillipa sighed and said, “Okay, well it’s almost 1 in the morning so I’m heading off to bed.”

“‘Kay. Goodnight.” You said, hugging her. When she was out of the room, you grabbed your phone to text Anthony.

Without looking at the contact, you typed out, “You gave me a hickey, shithead.” You had just hit send when you looked at who you sent it to.

“Oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck no.” You said, typing out an apology.

“That wasn’t meant for you guys ignore that omfg”

“Who the hell is giving you hickeys at 1 o’clock in the morning?” Daveed asked.

“No one. I said ignore the text.” You texted before shutting off your phone. “I need to sleep.”

The next day was chill. You and Phillipa spent the day inside, only leaving to get food then coming back home. You and Phillipa finished watching season 6 of Gilmore Girls that night.

“Loralei and Luke belong together.” Phillipa said.

“I know. Oooh, also Jess and Rory. I love them.” You added.

“Meh, I preferred Logan.”

“No way! Logan is hot, but Jess is sexy.”

“I guess.”

It was 10 by the time the last episode finished. Phillipa said she was going to head off to bed then left the living room.

Since you hadn’t checked it in a while, you decided to look at the boy’s groupchat.

They sent a good amount of messages in the group chat that day, too many for you to read them all so late.

You were skimming the messages, trying to get a gist of what the boys had talked about when you read a message from Daveed that made you stop.

“Anthony gave you the hickey, I fucking knew it”

“What? What would make you think that” Anthony asked.

“Oh, maybe this picture here that a friend of mine took”

Sure enough, Daveed had a picture of you and Anthony making out at the party.

“That doesn't even look like us”

“Oh shut up we all know it was you guys. Why are you trying to hide it” Oak sent.

“Whatever" Anthony said, with an emoji that was rolling it's eyes behind the text.

The conversation changed after that, to sports then to some restaurant.

You didn't respond to any message, knowing they would start blowing up your phone again if they saw you were awake.

The next day, Phillipa invited you to go to the theater with her. While Phillipa was in the shower, you baked some brownies real quick, wanting to give the cast a little bit of sweets before their performance.

Of course, Daveed was the first person to walk up to you.

“Are those brownies?” He asked, pointing to the pan that you were carrying.

You nodded your head. Daveed wasted no time in trying to grab the pan from you before you loved it out of his reach.

“This is for everyone.”

He frowned and let you walk ahead of him to let everyone else grab.

Nobody was really doing anything, since the show started in an hour and a half.

Anthony walked towards you. “Hey,” he said.

You smiled at him and raised the pan, offering him a brownie.

“Well don't mind if I do.” He said taking one and moaning as he took a bite. “These are fucking good.”

You giggled and thanked him. You both stared at each other, completely forgetting that there were other people in the room with you two.

You suddenly remembered the night before last and your cheeks turned red. As if he could read your mind, Anthony's face started turning red also, but a smirk looked like it was trying to make its way out.

Someone cleared their throat, making you and Ant get out of whatever trance you had each other in.

“I'm gonna go give brownies to other people.” You said. Anthony nodded his head and turned away from you. You saw him shake his head as he walked away.

You found Oak in his room, texting on his phone.

“Who you textin?” You asked him. “A hot date?”

Oak laughed, shaking his head. “Yeah, my girlfriend. She might be coming to see the show today.”

“Oh cool, I wanna meet her.”

“Of course.” He said, taking a brownie from the pan.

Pretty soon the brownies we're all gone, some people having gotten seconds.

“Arm wrestle, you and me!” Daveed shouted to Anthony.

They were both on stage, so you and a couple of people had to walk from backstage to see the battle.

“Let's go!” Anthony shouted. Both him and Daveed took of their shirts.

A couple of people cheered, you being one of them.

Jasmine was standing next to you. “Do they always do this?” You asked.

“Yeah, any time someone challenges you to an arm wrestle, you have to do it shirtless.”

You gave her a confused look and she shrugged in response.

Everyone watched both men struggle to win the game. In the end, Anthony won.

Everyone cheered for him and he jumped around, throwing his hands in the air. When the cheering died down, everyone walked away, going back to doing whatever they were doing before the game.

You couldn't help but start at Anthony's body. You already knew he was ripped, but shirts didn't do him justice. His body was so much better with no clothes on.

You tried your best to not stare at him, you really did. But it was hard; maybe one of the hardest things you'd ever done. Anthony, thankfully, didn't catch you staring, but it seemed like he knew you were watching. His biceps flexed much more than usual; the veins in his arms were more pronounced. And his ass in those jeans? Perfection.

You walked around, passing by different dressing rooms, still thinking about how amazing Anthony looked and how much more amazing he would look if he we're completely nak-

“Hey!” You heard Anthony say, stopping your thoughts from going completely in the gutter. He was still shirtless.

“Hey.” You greeted back, trying hard not to look down.

“Are you staying for the show or…?”

“Oh yeah, of course. What else am I gonna do, right?” You laughed awkwardly.

Anthony chuckled with you, just as awkward. Both of you stood in silence before Anthony stepped aside to let you into his dressing room. You walked in and he closed the door, leaving a small crack open.

“So what is this whole… taking off your shirt thing?” You asked, gesturing to his naked torso.

“I don't know. It's this dumb rule we made up that when we have an arm wrestle we do it shirtless.” He said. “Not a lot of people like to play it, for obvious reasons.”

“Well duh. Who can compete with that body?”

He winked. “That's what I've been saying.”

The conversation stopped. In the silence, you finally looked down at Anthony's shirtless body. Without realizing it, you licked your lips. He smirked, moving closer to you. You moved your eyes up, drinking in his beauty before you finally looked at his face. His lips looked amazing; you could remember the taste of them from Saturday and you had the worst thought ever: you needed to kiss him again.

Without thinking, you grabbed into his face and brought his mouth down to yours.

He kissed you back, his arms wrapping around your waist. You opened your mouth, letting his tongue slide between your teeth.

The kiss felt just the same as it did that day. It was just as hot and just as sensual.

So it wasn’t the alcohol. You thought.

Anthony’s hands moved down to grab your ass, rubbing you into his body like he’d done that weekend. Your own hands buried themselves into his hair, pulling at the curls, making him moan loudly. You broke away from the kiss.

“You trying to get us caught?” You giggled. He smiled and picked you up. You quickly wrapped your legs around him and he carried you over to the small desk. He sat you down on it, his lips never leaving your neck.

“You better not leave another hickey.” You said.

Anthony breaks away from your neck and looks at you. “Whoops.”

“Ant!” You shouted, hitting him on his shoulder. He smiled again and reached up to kiss you.

You weren’t mad anymore. At that moment, the only thing that mattered was Anthony, his lips, and all the places his hands were roaming. The entire world melted away, until Anthony was the only thing you could think about.

“Woah.” A voice said from the doorway.

You and Anthony quickly moved away from each other. You felt a breeze on your chest and looked down to see that Anthony had stretched your shirt low in order for him to kiss down your chest. You tried to lift your shirt up to cover up your breasts and failed, so you settled for just putting your arms over your chest. You could see Ant trying to fix his jeans; you guessed it was to hide the boner he’d gotten during your makeout session.

Oak was the one standing at the door. You released the breath that you’d been holding since you’d been caught.

“Y/N, I think you have a little something right there,” Oak said, pointing at a spot on your neck. You knew that he was talking about the hickey.

“Okay.”

“You should look at it, it’s really big. It’s right there. All big and purple, just this huge bruise in the middle of your neck.” He looked lower. “You also have one-”

“I get it! Just get out!” You shouted, pointing at the door.

Oak slowly backed out of the room, holding his arms up in surrender. He didn’t close the door on his way out.

You ran to the door and slammed it shut. “You don’t think he’s gonna tell, right?”

“Oh yeah, definitely.”

“Definitely as in he won’t tell, or definitely as in he will tell?”

“Answer choice B.”

You turned to Ant. “What?”

“Relax, relax. I’ll talk to him.”

You didn’t respond, only stared at Ant.

“Hey, it’ll be fine. All we were doing was making out.”

“Anthony, I’m not embarrassed, I’m worried. What if he tells Phillipa?”

“I- Y/N, I don’t know why you’re so scared of Pippa knowing that we’re hanging out.”

“Because… She...”

Anthony looked at you, waiting for an answer.

“I… She said you’re a player. That you won’t treat me right, and that...” You didn’t want to say the other thing that Phillipa told you.

“That you’re an asshole and that you don’t even deserve me.”

Anthony looked angry. “What? Is that what you think of me?”

“I don’t do that, I don’t- Gah!” He ran his fingers through his hair and turned away from you.

“Anthony,” you said walking up behind him and putting your hand on his shoulder. “I don’t think of you like that.” He turned his head slightly until he could see you in the corner of his eye and you kept talking. “I don’t think you’re an asshole. I think you’re the sweetest, most thoughtful guy I’ve ever known. You always know how to make me laugh and if I’m ever angry or sad, you always know how to calm me down. You’re my best friend in the whole world. There’s no way I could not talk to you.”

Anthony was now facing you. “Best friend?”

You were silent before you swallowed your fears and said, “Yes... but I wish you were more.”

His eyes flashed with emotion; could that be hope that you saw?

“I- I’ve never felt like this about anyone. You complete me. And I can never stop myself from thinking what would it be like if we were… more, you know?”

He smiled and his hands cupped your face. “Me too.”

“Me too what?”

“I want to be more too. I want to be so much more.” He dropped his head until your foreheads touched. “God, I like you so much it hurts.”

You smiled and tilted your head up to kiss him but he moved back before you could.

“Y/N, are you sure you want to do this? If Phillipa finds out… I just don’t want this to ruin what you guys have with each other.”

You shook your head. “It doesn’t matter what she thinks about us. I just want to be with you.”

Anthony smiled. He slowly brought your heads together until your lips were almost touching. The suspense was too much. Without waiting another second, you slammed your lips onto his and you both kissed each other until you knew he had to get ready for the show.

As you walked out of the dressing room, you sighed. God, You thought. Life is so great. What could go wrong?

Episode #1: “brb gotta go to dinner” - Logan

This is literally the worst possible outcome, I would know the 10 fkers on the other tribe and only know of like 2 people on this tribe, sayonara it's a wrap a mere 5 minutes after the cast reveal concluded.

Omg! So this game started and i landed on a short witches tribe.. Maybe we are short but the humor around Helgamine is definitely tall. Love my tribemates! They are a bunch of really chill and fun to talk to people. At this stage of the game my goal is to get a good grasp on the already existing pre-game relationships within people. This knowledge will allow me to know what to say and to who. Other than that i'm focused on developing bonds with people without approaching them with gametalk. A pretty slow start for me, i don't need at all to jump into making alliances left and right. It's the beginning so its important to just leave a good (and non threatning) impression on my  tribemates.Those people seem to want to CALL a lot during the day JASHDKGAHD and i'm still exhausted from study group calls for exams so.. i'm not gonna be trying to do a lot of that. I'm however really excited for what's this game is going to bring up <3

Gonna do my own first impressions as well, to put some of my thoughts together.

Daisy - oh how i love her.. She's so positive and adorable. We have a pending plan for a call and I'm really looking forward to it. She's more experienced in discord ORGs than me and we are both BaR winners so.. we gotta work together. At least for now. She seems like someone that would be a bigger threat than me down the road.. I feel like we have a potential to work together well and I'd want to establish a duo with her and be partners in crime in this tribe. <3

Scott - OMG the only person in this whole cast that i actually knew before this game? we didn't talk in like 4 years but when i saw him in this cast i literally gasped. I enjoyed catching up with him and he is definitely someone i could see myself aligning with. Yesterday we shared each other concerns about a mention of alliances and alliance calls. And neither of us  introduced gametalk with other tribemates. He also mentioned that he wants me to be his #1 in this game. And i'm digging that!

Rob - OKAY our conversation on day 1 was p much awkward.. We have a mutual friend from the fb org and he was mad at me for winning an ORG over her and he literally didn't hestitate on letting me know that.. But we talked a lot yesterday and found out many common interests. He wants us to be like Fenella and Shonee and i mean why not? I really like talking to him but i'm not sure if i can trust him yet. He's the first person that reached out to me about doing a call and we did one today LMAO i had a lot of fun. He's definitely very social so keeping him as close as possible to me can only bring me some benefits. stan him tho <3

Seamus - Someone who i saw around forever but never had any opportunity to talk or meet his ass.  i just vibe w/ his clowny personality and already called him a caveman and a half british. <3 hoping to build a good connection here.

Logan - Funny and very active. He definitely stands out as he talks the most in the tribe chat and plans all the tribe calls. We had some good convos so far, mainly about total drama. Love watching his videos for this immunity challenge KSAJDHG but other than that i'm not sure how i feel about him but i would like to get close to him and work together when the game gears will switch on

Jules - She's so adorable and our talks are very cute but... they don't happen very often.  And she's not really contributing in the challenge so far which i really hope is going to change because in case we lose i fear that people will view her as an easy prey for the first boot? I hope that won't be the case and that she's going to snap cuz i think she's lovely and i enjoy our conversations.

Conor - Didn't have much to write about him until today. He just dyed his hair to the same color i got last summer so we have no choice but to stan. For real tho, we are the only europeans on this tribe (maybe even entire game?) but i don't have much to say about him. Curious how he will approach the game once we are forced to start playing.

Gage - Hmmmm! I like him, but don't really have any kind of trust towards him. He's just quite flirty and the flow of our conversations is weird/forced? I can't stop thinking abt Dean Kowalski and Spencer whenever he messages me.. It's like he's their survivor child.

Vincent - Great he immediately brought up his twin brother with who i played twice and ended him... twice as well. I literally have no idea how or what to talk about with him :/

Hmm the challenge is almost over

I definitely wasn't a challenge MVP by any means. I think everyone but Scott outscored me. But I did a lot better than I could have expected at the challenge start. 65 points isn't a Dooze-level score but it's a lot better than the 30 points I was expecting earlier.

Lol I'm super happy to be apart of this season!! So far it's turning out to be a great one and I'm hoping that I can do what I need to in order to get far.

Not gonna lie I just had a feeling we were gonna lose this challenge. Like I just... stink at challenges and knew I wasn't going to do well. So I just made sure I didn't have the worst score. Which I hope puts me in the clear. However, i lowkey get the vibe I might be going just cause the conversations are so... bland. Like no ones come purposing an alliance and such. I know I don't want to be the first person to do so, which means someone's gonna have to step up.

Anyways, here's my thoughts on everyone.

Szymon: he's cool, definitely my #1 out here, we've known each other from previous orgs and such. Seamus: I know who he is from tumblr,  but I don't know him that well. he seems chill. Daisy: Queen, shes an icon and O hope she can be my female iconic duo Logan: He seems like he wants to be THAT person who likes to be in control of everything, but doesn't want to come off as controling everything. So I let him think he owns me :) Vincent: I like him, he's a cool guy and one of the few I've talked to the most. He already told me about his vote steal and I'm just like "damn, look at you go!" Conor: He's cool too! I enjoy talking to him when I wake up in the morning. I like hearing about him and his boyfriend too. Gage: home boy likes to flirt around with everyone doesn't he. i'll play a long, but leaving a mental note to not go far with him. Jules: They're cool, not really that social tho but they try. Rob: I forget that he's on this season oops.

I really thought I was gonna get the boot first cause everyone is just so quiet. But the conversations seem to be between Jules and Vincent. Which I'm personally okay with either of them as long as I'm still here. I'd prefer Rob though just cause he doesn't make an effort to talk to me that much, but it is what it is.

Let's hope I get by this round and can survive the first boot. I like to think I can, but you never know with this group.

we lost the challenge which sucked. but i really like my tribe. everyone seems chill. i didnt think we were gonna win the challenge though becase several people didnt rlly try to even get 100. so originally i thought it would just be a super easy vote on vincent because he isnt very chatty, but logan is annoying everyone. asking to one on one call and sinking his own ship by pushing so hard (giggity) for jules to go home. so i think either logan or vincent will go this round

I’m liking my tribe mates more than I expected. I’m just trying to play it cool so I make it to merge. I feel like that’s everyone’s goal. I love the alliance of Cindi, both Dylan’s and myself. I’m hoping that we stick together, because I feel like we can be a really strong alliance moving forward. I also think I might be good with Beck, because they’re dating Asya and we played a game together a couple years ago. Asya apparently still really likes me from what Beck said. So woo! So past 4 hours is a lot to process, but basically i got home expecting a pretty easy vote on Vincent. He's a great kid that but have to think about performing well in the challenges as a tribe. So then miss Logan decided to play as if it was merge and not day 3 and just went off with targetting Jules?? I am not having any of that because Jules is too fun to talk so i made sure to let Jules know immediately of what was going on. I believe i was the first to warn her of what's happening so that brings us two closer. Logan then went on calls with everyone individually, ending my call in such a shady way with an excuse of having a dinner... when he was just going to call with Seamus. And he told Seamus that he was currently eating the dinner.. WHAT? Anyway just got the tea that Logan was making multiple trios as well. WHY DO YOU NEED TO PLAY SO HARD? THIS GAME HAS JUST STARTED skjdghd

I feel really bad because he said that he was the first boot the last time he played due to playing hard. But this is just him... not learning from his past mistakes at all :/ Im sorry but i don't feel comfortable moving forward with such a ticking bomb. Neither he or Vincent have any benefit for my game at this point so Im hoping this plan that we put in motion with Daisy to get rid of Logan works, and then we have Vincent as an easy vote next time we lose.

So I'm more optimistic now that I've properly gotten to know a lot of my tribe, I think I'm socially in a good place but I'm trying not to get ahead of myself and get lazy with communication. I love the little group I've got with Beck, Cindi and Dylan and I think Dylan G and Christian or Chips would fit in like a glove if we ever visit tribal council, and we needed to bring in another couple of people.

All I have to say before tribal is that I really... finessed this vote.

Logan got lose and decided to voice call everyone telling them that they need to vote Daisy. Which made a lot of people more on edge to vote out Vincent. I don't want Vincent to go because I think he's still useful. He has the vote steal advantage and I think he's someone who trusts me. He might not be a number for other people, but Vincent is a number for me. SO I want to keep him around as much as I can cause I trust Vincent more than Logan. So to save Vincent, I decided to throw Logan under the bus and push for him to go. I'm glad I did that since that got traction with Szymon and Daisy on board with voting Logan. However, they weren't enough so I campaigned to Seamus, Gage, and Rob to vote Logan out. They were hesitant at first, but they eventually came around and got on the ship to vote Logan out. I had to voicecall Gage, Rob, and Szymon to convince them but I'm glad it worked. I mean, i had to throw out there that I had an alliance with Logan and Vincent in order to get them to expose Logan's other alliances, but I did what I needed to do in order to save Vincent. So with everyone on board to vote out Logan, I think I set myself up to be in a good spot moving forward.

If I'm gonna be the move maker this season, then I guess I'm starting out the game with one of the biggest moves yet. Poor logan being the first boot AGAIN, but that's what happens when you decide to scramble your butt off.

People should be allowed to make a character any race to fit their preferences or just their likes, of course within being respectful. The thing with a wendigo character is not everyone is going to see/research the full story of them, because they’ve been big in media for awhile now. Until Dawn, Supernatural, even My Little Pony. And tbh, it’s something that while drifting away from the original intent, does bring traditional stories to the homes of others, who otherwise would never know the term, or know of the monsters. Mass media is keeping our culture alive, even as we kill it ourselves by not letting others near it.

Why is it a crime to make Wendigo characters but when some family lines (before me, I don’t care) wouldn’t approve of the use of nordic mythos no one bats an eye at adopts that play off them, or for that matter, movies and shows that paint them in completely inaccurate ways.
