I just saw this TikTok about traditional Icelandic foods and now I 110% believe that kiddie Thor loved poking the sheep's eyeball & would hold Loki down to give him a kiss with the cooked sheep's head (svið) whenever Frogs wasn't around to enforce the "no playing with your food" rule.

Additionally, nothing can convince me that Loki - when he's hit with a wave of nostalgia at the TVA - doesn't pull out the fermented testicles tin to eat with a bit of cracker and butter. Like, he objectively favored other flavors, but something about the hrútspungar reminds him of the snacks the cooks would place in their packs when Odin would take him and Thor on hikes between villages back when they were small before-

Also Sylvie loves fish jerky (harðfiskur) and Icelandic hot spring rye bread (hverabrauð).

No one likes fermented shark (hákarl).

Also, also, Mobius makes Loki fully wash up and brush his teeth twice after one of his nostalgia cravings because there is no way in hell he can stomach the thought of kissing or smelling sheep's testicles. Loki teases that he's too delicate.

Seven Sentence Sunday!

This Ghost WIP (Sylvie and Loki as mischievous yet generally friendly ghosts in Mobius’ house) has been following me for a while now, I still work on it pretty frequently but only in small doses so it’s chugging along! I still really love it though and hope I can get a huge burst of inspiration soon! (I have it all planned out, especially the final scenes being planned in detail, but some of these middle chunks despite having outlines just don’t want to get written!)

This section hasn’t been edited yet but it’s the last chunk I wrote! (It’s actually 8 sentences but this was the natural stopping point— close enough lol)

“Jesus, Loki…” Mobius whispers hoarsely. “I always knew… I mean, with you being ghosts, I had to, but… I can’t… I never could have imagined the details. I’m so sorry— I mean, I don’t think my sorry cuts it, but…”

“We understand, Mobius,” Loki whispers, his voice quiet.

Mobius longs more than ever to scoop them both into massive bear hugs. He knows that won’t solve the problem or fix the past, but his love has always been best expressed physically, and sometimes a good hug is what anyone needs.

“Thank you, for telling me,” Mobius says instead. “I know that couldn’t have been easy, for either of you.”

If you’d asked Mobius at nearly any point in his life if he’d one day be with the Loki that had eluded him for eons and caused so much strife within the TVA, not as enemies but as allies, he would have laughed.
