An Opinionated Guide to Cybertronian Sweets (commonly found in vending machines)

This was written from the POV of a pre-war mech, who’s really into sweets, has both the mouth and proboscis to experience them with, and the strength of opinion to write this guide.

The guide itself was distributed by them to little public sharing libraries, or other nooks and crannies where one might find politically-unpopular writing.

Cybertronian sweets are honestly such a fun concept to explore. The idea of having a mouth and/or proboscis (from battle mask or empurata or other), and how that affects one’s enjoyment of different sweets in regards to taste and texture, or if it’s even consumable by one’s method of consumption. And then the politics and history of certain sweets! Ahh! It’s all so much fun :D

Are there any flotation devices people can lay on? What happens if kids fall asleep on them?

Yes there are complementary tubes for guest at the waterpark but besides the big waterslide multi person tube they don’t really have much else lounging wise. Also external floatation devices can only be used in the main pools for safety reasons. (Arm floaties and swim vests are of course the exception) :)

If a kid falls asleep anywhere in the park staff will see to it that they are reunited with their parents (your park band will give you a buzz if an animatronic is currently trying to reach you)

Children will be well looked after until one of their parents arrives (don’t want anyone getting sunburned ;)

that was always something that irked me with the whole "it's a coping mechanism" thing too. that idea got memed to hell and back by psy-science liberals because the slightly different camp of psy-science liberals who were pushing it never treated it in any kind of material analysis and so it was always just this absurd moralistic ideal of like, trying to determine which actions are "healthy" (no definition provided) and whether an "unhealthy" action can ever be "ethical" (no definition and no challenge to the underlying capitalist paternalism). these dicussions get routed into the realm of individual ethics because they are led by people fundamentally unwilling to consider affective distress as something caused or alleviated on any basis other than individual actions or moral failings. in reality "coping mechanism" always should have been rephrased to "means of surviving a hostile social infrastructure" and then instead of arguing over what another person is "allowed" to do we should have been talking revolution. and no i don't think all affective distress will magically vanish when we seize the means of production don't start with that

it ever hit you out of nowhere that castiel is living in a dead guy's body and the show just does not care. it does not care. jimmy novak might as well not exist the moment he or claire is out of sight. cas stole a guy's body and his face and his life, and we can't ever talk about it or discuss it in detail because of how fucking horrifying it is that sam and dean's best friend just walks around in a dead guy suit. there's not even a human soul in there anymore. it's just a corpse. stone-cold body snatcher indeed.

merlin is so sickeningly full of 'there must have been a moment when we could have turned back but we missed it' moments it makes me lose my mind. it's not good but it's good . oh at this moment he could have trusted arthur enough to tell the truth and arthur would have been in a frame of mind to accept it but he is riddled with self-doubt and constantly warned by the authorities in his life to keep himself ot himself so he didn't. at this moment he could have told morgana he believed her and she would have had an ally in the castle but instead he listened to a scared old man and agreed to be complicit in her gaslighting, setting them both out on the road that ends with them as mortal enemies. at this moment he could have - and it's just like that for sixty five full episodes and every time i'm like oh this time he'll do the smart thing. this time he won't miss it. and then he misses it

I know we collectively agree that Hiccup isn’t romantically inclined, and his getting married and having kids didn’t make sense in the epilogue, but consider: Hiccup getting married for political reasons.

It’s a marriage of alliance, which is recognized both by him and his partner, and they enter it without expectations of romantic involvement. Since they’re now married, they live in the same castle, spend time together, and Hiccup finds he really likes his spouse. They’re funny, get along with his friends, and has the same interests and values. They both probably speak multiple languages. She understands why Hiccup is so dedicated to making the Wilderwest better, and holds similar views. She’s a good politician (her job after all, was to be an ambassador). Hiccup likes spending time with them, and the feeling is mutual. They’re not in love, they have their own lives, but they’re dedicated to each other and eventually decide to raise children. They teach their kids how to train hawks and hunt with dragons, riding, history, the Languages, and all the necessary skills of their world. They’re not in love and they’re happy together.
