(Mini-analysis under the 'read more'!)

This was the very first time we had seen this particular shot of Daisuke.

In this shot, Daisuke clearly and proudly holds one of the new styled "Digivice"-equipped phones made & produced by Izumi Corporation, the company canonically owned and managed and run by Koushirou Izumi, who acts as President, sometime post 2005 within the Adventures timeline. As of the Kizuna tie-in novels, Koushiro had seemingly "just" gotten the company up and running, and within Kizuna, the Chosen Children group, including Taichi's team and Koushirou's own self, began actively using the phone models. "Digivice" appears to work on these phones, which the Chosen use to open Digital Gates and portals within the Real World, even without the aid of a computer or Koushirou's laptop nearby. (The actual Digivice, meanwhile, seemed unuseable. Taichi hid "Digivice" deep within Taichi's desk drawer, until the plot forced Taichi to acknowledge and pull it out again; Daisuke seemed to do similar with own blue "D3", which can be seen during the opening scenes and later moment.

When the phone device shuts off, "Izumi Corporation"'s logo can be seen in Kizuna on Taichi's phone. Though we do not see it within "The Beginning", it can be assumed Daisuke's phone shuts off in the same style.

At the end of the film, though it is implied "something" is happening to "Digivice" and "D3", the actual phone models they also have now, which were produced by Koushirou, and; which are separate devices, do not appear to change or vanish.

In promotional material released after the film's release, the Chosen still appear to hold the phone models.

Shane: Shane, a bit Affronted: What? I've been- taking baths fine on my own since then. Daisuke, coming up from nearby: Are you sure...? Shane: Shane: Yeah, at least now I haven't been glitching out all over the place like I was back then, still. Daisuke, Exchanging Glances with Ken: Ken, Slowly Staring Back: ... Daisuke: ... Shane, Totally Not Hesitating: ... Well, anyway, I'm going in. (*kindof shuffling while trying to not drop the clothes, about to brush past Ken*) Ken, without budging an inch, lightly taking Shane's wrist in hand as Shane tries to walk by, Ken continuing to stare straight ahead without blinking: SHANE: Shane: (..At least Ken's not staring "at" me) WHAT. Ken, only lightly commanding tone: Wait here. Ken, moving to remove shirt, pulling it over head with one hand, hair flying out L'oreal style: DAISUKE, EYES NEAR BUGGING OUT OF HEAD: Shane, Blinking (A bit genuinely stunned): ... Shane: (..It'll take more than that to have any affect on me, and I'm pretty sure Ken Knows That.) Ken, tossing own shirt aside with one hand, continuing to hold Shane's wrist with the other... carefully pressing into the skin of Shane's wrist, as if Emphasizing: I'm coming in too. Daisuke: (wwwwAIT-) Shane: .... Shane, Lowly yet Careful: Only if you let go first. Ken: Ken: (*drops hand carefully, fingers brushing against Shane's hand*) Shane: ... Shane, suddenly reaching out to grab at Ken's other wrist, a little Too Firmly: Come on. DAISUKE & KEN: Shane: You're the one who 'asked'. So... Shane: We're doing this my way, too. Daisuke: (*ONLY LIGHTLY dISTRESSED NOISES IN MIND*) Ken, Looking: ('Come on, Daisuke.') Daisuke, Sighing a bit as Daisuke moves to follow them both inside: Shane, gently-yet-firmly tugging Ken forward from behind, trying to push the door open now with BOTH hands full including an armful of the clothes: Shane: Ggggh. Frigimon (Yukidarumon); Steve calls it "Frigimon" when at home: So, "That" one says they made us - or more like, 'you' - a Chosen to "befriend" "that other one"... Steve, low laughing under breath: "It" may have "said" that, but it's definitely wrong. Frigimon: Oh? You seem to have a strong feeling about this... (but it's expected of my partner). Steve, voice returning to normal 'cheery' tone: The thing it doesn't know is that I initially messaged Koushiro of my own volition. Frigimon: But it claims it 'made' you all do that... Steve: And again, it's definitely wrong... because it also doesn't know - or even understand why - how Koushiro initially reacted to me, much less the others in our group. Frigimon: Oh?? (Curious) (Tell Me More, Steve) Steve, swivelling around in chair: Koushiro rambled and info-dumped about different types of systems and coding for a solid ten or so messages back-and-forth before I finally clued Koushiro in more deliberately that I knew about "you all". STEVE: AND, at the start, Koushiro was hesitant to actually talk more to us about it all, even though we made it clear we all mostly knew since "that battle". Frigimon: But Koushiro came around because you were persistent? Steve, laughing: It's not so much "persistence" as "something that naturally fell into place" once I got more of a 'feel' of what Koushiro was like. Koushiro sounds extremely analytical on the 'Net, but apparently is also super formal in person, just in ...different ways. Frigimon: So, you're saying you didn't "pursue" Koushiro but couldn't the "naturally falling into place" still mean-- Steve, shaking head: No, not that either. Steve: Because I also initially wasn't sure if Koushiro actually wanted to be my "friend". Frigimon: ... Steve, clasping hands: Even if it could do everything that 'new' Chosen said, it doesn't understand that these aren't things you can "force". And even if it could, I wouldn't acknowledge it, because it's not a part of my culture... So it's not relevant to me. Frigimon, hmmng: The other monsters "like that" must really dislike us, then. Steve, quirking eyebrow with a grin: "Us"? Frigimon: Well, I don't like those notions, either. I can't really imagine myself being partnered to anyone not you, nor for any other "reason". Steve: ... Digimon Adventure 02 ~ O.C.s Fanfiction, featuring once-known as "FDD", "Fictional Digidestined & Digimon", or Fictional Chosen Children (using Japanese original terms) ~ "COF:TFF" ({Chosen} of Faith): The Fan Fic +Daisuke is visiting my 02 O.C. In the old story Young Me accidentally spelled Michael (American Chosen Child) wrong so it's 'corrected' here, lol. Thus the implication here is Shane apparently 'knows' (of) Michael & Wallace But is it The Case Shane knows them WELL? Dun-dun-dun...
