they actually don't cook very often, like in terms of full meals, yet they are still an ingredient house iykyk.

one time, otoya accidentally hotboxed the bathroom and yuki went to take a shower and almost died.

despite how popular they all are, they refuse to host parties because their building is mainly elderly folks and they would feel horrible for them having to deal with hammered college students.

So! In the theme of pride month, I decided to post a New and Improved HC list of primarch and queerness! At the time of the og list (over 3 years ago???), my hc were very different, and things have evolved soooo much in my mind, specifically in relation to the setting! So, without further ado...

How queer are the Primarch?

Roboute: Pansexual of the political Maccragian variety. Marriage? That's for politics and alliance making. Romance? That's where your closest and most beloved companion go. Monogamy? Just don't make succesion lines messy. In general, very attracted to long hair and elegance, and likes more dominating partner. Cis, of the "listen I have paperwork to finish I don't have time for this" variety.

Lion: Gay. Gay gay gay GAAAAAY. Gay gay homosexual gay. Also violently demiromantic. Is lost in the glass closet, not because he doesn't want to come out, but because Sanguinius smiled at him and he had to go on a 3 months hunt instead of asking him out. Absolute disaster gay.

Sanguinius: Shapeshifting pan and polyamourous. Present masc for the Imperium but is a lot more fluid in private. Has an insanely complicated polycule that need a flowchart and a power point presentation to understand. Somehow people keep getting added to it without him meaning too, he's just that lovable.

Horus: a SLUT. A pansexual WHORE. Surprisingly one of those that has sex with afab people the most in the family hello canonical breeding kink, He has less of a polycule and more like a laundry list of fuck friends, and he fully identify as cis, comfortable in it too.

Konrad: Lol. Lmao, even. Very complicated relationship with gender that he has not finished untangling. Usually identify as a menace. Flip wildly between sex repulsed and wanting to have the most mind blowing orgasm from a BDSM scene. Pansexual of the "what's a gender" variety.

Fulgrim: almost fully aromantic. While he love people from every single presentation of humans under the sun, he only has ever been *in love* with Ferrus, and it's mind blowing to him. Genderfluid, and actually slightly chromosonal intersex! Most people would never guess, but he does find it important for his identity.

Ferrus: The most demisexual of the fam. Was under the impression he was himself ace, until he saw Fulgrim forge him a hammer, covered in grimme. Trans man, in the "hey look at this cool new dick I made myself, it shoot LAZER! Yeah ofc I had to take my pants to show you-" variety.

Perturabo: Actually, honest to god hetero flexible. Very attracted to women, the feminine and the delicate. Things that are soft and pretty. He was honestly surprised to be attracted to Fulgrim, and had a minor gay panic about it. Technically agender, but mostly because he feel so remove from his own flesh and body's desire.

Magnus: Warp goo in a vaguely human shaped pile. When asked about his gender as a child, he identified as a constelation. Will say that he is Sapiosexual, and then will transform into a goat the first person that ask about Leman Russ.

Jaghatai: Honestly? Labels are meaningless. Why not just go with the flow? He enjoy pretty, fun, smart people. He is cis, but he really enjoy playing with gender expression, from simple things like painting his nails to full on costumes. His ass look fabulous in a tight dress.

Rogal: Gay, aromantic. Like having sex (aka hardcore bdsm) with his friends. Is actually slightly confused and almost worried about gender expression and presentation, and overthink the whole thing a lot. Has had many talk with Fulgrim trying to get it.

Mortarion: fully, 100% true gonadal intersex (thanks fertily god!). Feel very ankward in his gender expression and is intimidated by experimenting. Is attracted to people that are nice to him, wich is both charming and a bit worrying. Very into bald people, of all thing.

Alpharius/Omegon: Pansexual for tactical purpose. Genderfluid for the trolling. Actually can have some pretty bad gender panic ocasionally because they feel like theor life is always so fake, that they don't know themself.

Corvus: Trans woman! Beautiful and comfortable in her transition! Joke that she has to be hetero with all the guys in her fam, but then she had one VERY interesting night with Sang and shapeshifting and now call herself bi. Sleep around, but is waiting to settle down and become a pretty strict monogamous.

Vulkan: He wants a wife (gender neutral), the 2.5 children legions, a pet dragon and a white picket fortress. By far the most romantic of the fam. Somehow has traditional family roles in his head, but completely removed from gender expectation. Cis, amazing ally and suportive.

Lorgar: Actually part of a third gender reserved to the priestly class on Colchis! Pansexual, but desperatly wants partner that can fold them in half and break their back. Think that helping people discover their sexuality is a mission from God(s), and consider it a great honor.

Leman: VERY pro trans, and will argue that his experience of feeling like he had to "change species" is extremely similar! Absolute slut, does not really ping gender, but has a tendency/societal habit of wanting to be the dominant partner with whoever he's with. And yeah.... there's a knot.

Angron: Demisexual that can rival Ferrus. A lot of his experience where shaped by trauma and things he saw, and the feeling that he cannot/should not be loved when he will invariably hurt his partner. Lorgar doesn't care. Does not like to deal with gender stuff and gets agressive about it.

Apropos of nothing, here's my top 15 anime and whether the story would be improved if you made the main character a trans girl:

1. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime - You can't transition Rimuru in a way that matters, but honestly if Rimuru did start to ID as a woman over time, that would be cool. Unlikely though considering his human form is the body of Shizu, so a fully fem form would feel pervy to Rimuru.

2. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Well it'd certainly make the title funny if you made Edward into Edwina. And it'd make Ed/Winry into yuri. But honestly it'd change very little imho. Though it would be interesting to explore transition in a world where alchemy exists, but just in a different story. Might make for a fascinating post-canon fanfic?

3. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation - Oh god would it. The story is already focused on exploring identity and already has dysphoria when a god he talks to forces him into his pre-reincarnation body on the astral plane. Making Rudy into a polyamorous trans lesbian would literally be peak and elevate the story so much.

4. Kaguya-sama: Love is War - You know what? Yeah. I can vibe with making Miyuki Shirogane trans. It would add another layer of intrigue to the story AND make it gay. It could even be funny if Kaguya or Chica found out before Shirogane did. Wait. No. It would be hilarious if YU ISHIGAMI found out first, and just, assumed Miyuki was closeted, and not just, clueless. Yes this could add so much entertainment value.

5. Dungeon Meshi - Lord almighty get this autistic furry a choker and some estrogen, stat. I make it no secret how I feel about the Trans Touden Sisters interpretation.

6. Dandadan - Make Okarun and Jiji trans girls and make the main cast a messy polycule and sign me the FUCK up please! It would be so funny and so much fun. I NEED this version of Dandadan. It'd be even funnier considering how much is focused around Ken's junk and him being partially possessed by an old lady.

7. Overlord - NGL I'm not even sure anything would change if you made Momonga into a trans woman. She'd act the exact same, and so would everyone else. Interesting for sure, but fruitless, ultimately.

8. My Dressup Darling - Crack? Crack cocaine? Do you realize how amazing it would be to make this into a story about a gyaru girl pulling a closeted trans girl excitably out of the closet?! This would make this so much cuter than it already is, I think I'd EXPLODE.

9. How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom - It wouldn't change much narratively, but the world could always use more stories with polyamorous trans lesbians as the protagonist.

10. The Faraway Paladin - Wouldn't change much honestly, but it would be cool. Tbh Season 2 Will looks like a stealth/closeted trans girly already.

11. Mob Psycho 100 - Again wouldn't change much but would be fun. Put Mob on estrogen and watch her transform from anxiety autism failboy to anxiety autism failgirl. And then still be the kindest person in any room.

... Okay though, on second thought, getting to see her go ???% on a transphobe would be cool as shit.

12. One Punch Man - another no change case. One Punch Woman. She has boobs now. She probably transitioned in like a day somehow.

13. My Hero Academia - I think putting Midoriya on estrogen would fix the show actually. Maybe also put the writer on estrogen just to be sure. (joke)

Kill la Kill - Making Ryuko Matoi a trans girl would actually be really cool, especially with her challenging establishment, with the themes of clothes being a restrictive aspect of society, and with her gay romance with Mako. I've seen so many trans girls on Tumblr with Ryuko's exact shameless, confident personality, I just know it'd be epic.

15. Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious - It would change little about how Seiya acts, but realizing she's trans would definitely give Ristarte's bisexual ass a nosebleed. Though Seiya would probably be ultra mega hyper closeted behind numerous mystic barriers, so that'd be fun to explore.

So here is some desert my most prised Jieyi Headcannons

- Yi and Jiequan are two very different drunks. Yi is a very loud happy and giggly drunk. Jiequan on the other hand is a quiet and relaxed drunk. When they are both absolutely pissed you will find that they are inseparable.

-Yi won’t admit it but he loves brushing Jiequan’s mane. Jiequan will then purposely mess his mane up so that Yi can brush it, he also does it when Yi is sad because playing with his mane makes him happy. (Yi will deny this till the day he dies)

-Jiequan loves to push boundaries but will never break them and sometimes will back off unless if it’s something he can use his family motto for then he will be the biggest ass to yi known to man kind

-Yi is a very clean and tidy person. Jiequan is a very messy person

-After the first time Jiequan slept over he found all his clothes washed and neatly folded at the end of the couch. Yi also left food in the fridge.

- They both bite each other for no reason at all. One time they did it in front of Eigong and she just gave the most disappointing look known to Solaraian kind. (Yi’s face went full red with rage and embarrassment)

-Jiequan is very jealous of Kuafu because he is Yi’s ex but he doesn’t show or say anything because of how good of a friendship Yi has with him. (Also because on multiple occasions Kuafu has fixed parts of the factory for him)

I do like Jiequan being quiet type of drinker, but for me he also gradually becomes very sappy with each new shot. Jiequan when he's drunk asf is a party pooper. Fortunately, i hc that he is a moderate drinker and knows when to stop. Also probably do not drink until he has to, only in company or if Yi asks him to share a drink.

2. Keeping themselves in order

Also interesting you hc Yi as a neat and clean type! I mostly think that Yi is heeeavily neglecting himself, but, i do think that he at least keeps his place clean and washes clothes. Can't cook shit, but there is always frozen prep meals left in fridge.

While i also think Jiequan is a messy type i do believe he has an extensive beauty routine. I mean, Shennong said his hair felt smooth and silky when he ate the tuft of his hair. And his nails are painted.

Still, even the strongest perfume can't hide the distinct sent of transmutation chemical. And his skin is still a pretty rough, especially hands.

It also feels like they both if possible prefer to wear asure sand clothing. Especially with their regular bloody and messy fights almost each day.

3. Jealousy

Oh I do believe Jiequan is jealous person, tho, also, a quiet one. I feel like he's jealous and overly confident at the same time. Yi also probably let Kuafu be little bit more gentle and touchy with him.

Still, Jiequan has his means to make Yi jealous, because lets be honest. Kuafu has crush on both of them and Jiequan do flirt with Kuafu sometimes to make Yi seeth with rage.

The saddest and funniest thing for me is that Jiequan and Yi would both gladly accept Kuafu in their relationship, but Kuafu is yearner forever. None of this three will ever bring up the possibility of being a polycule, but they think about it from time to time

Anyway. Obvious Steve and Geoff are running into each others’ arms after their respective breakups (Steve with Jon Anderson and Geoff with Trevor). This is bad news for everyone else in Asia because Dear God. They bicker about EVERYTHINGGG and neither of them are anything like their exes.

Then there’s John and Carl. They’re chill. I see them more as just fuck buddies with each other tbh.

I feel like there’s some shit between Steve and Carl too because they’ve known each other for over a decade at this point because of Yes/ELP’s history with each other. And that gets really messy. Anyway the reason I say this is because I think there was a peaceful enough time where Tiergan and his 'not a polycule' would come over to Sterling Gables and just hang out, sit on the porch swing and talk

Vika was never told of Tiergan and Prentice's involvement with the Black Swan nor was she explicitly told about Timkin but...well she's a smarter cookie than most as she has the ability of common sense and putting two plus two together to make four.

Jurek (he's Stina's older brother) is a bit older than Wylie and then they were just little boys the two would play around, splash around in rivers, pester their dads and goof around. Honestly life was so calm back then you'd never expect what would happen to happen

Wylie met Stina when she was just a wee baby, literally newly born before the Endals and the Heks went their separate ways and life went downhill real fast, a little too fast and life was just never the same again

Stina and Wylie have a weird and complicated relationship because on the one hand their families used to secretly be close and Wylie was friends with Jurek but on the other hand Stina couldn't even remember Wylie much less have any deep connection with him beyond stories she was told

This causes a rift in their relationship as a lot of stuff is never really spoken between the two and the weirdness of it all just gets bigger than Stina and Maruca become friends because Stina would occasionally see Wylie around from time to time. When Sophie gets kidnapped/presumed dead Stina is at the funeral and actually cries (it's complicated) and at some point she leaves to visit her aunt Silla who is a wanderling now but in her hysterical state she gets lost and her feet wind up leading her to Cyrrah and by extent, Wylie

Stina hugs Wylie and kind of cries and it sits as this almost sweet moment between the two before it's broken by Tiergan calling out for Wylie and Stina running off

Later when Team V is formed Stina seems to be back to treating Wylie the same as the rest, with animosity and like she constantly has to be armed with a snarky remark to shoot back but after a training exercise as a team goes a little off the rails and Stina and Wylie have a big argument ending with Stina storming off and later having a talk with Dex of all people she goes to Wylie to apologize for a lot of what she said and explain herself and afterwards they slowly but surely get to the point where Stina takes her usual jabs at Wylie but Wylie just takes it in stride

It's a bumpy journey and to be fair a lot of stuff that happened was completely out of their control but they do end up having a pretty solid friendship

Top 11 Ships of 2023

Time for a typical and normal numbered top 11 list, the classic and well known format, top 11, which everyone uses and everyone loves garnering much SEO so that I may boost myself. This standard top 11 of the year list which everyone does annually really is covering ships I really loved this year. I love love and therefore love when romance is in things I watch and I love imaging relationships between characters. While I am not a super active fanfic writer or reader I enjoy fan art and thinking about dynamics and sometimes writing or reading. This year had a ton of girls I thought should kiss so without further ado let's get into it.

Sulleta and Chuchu [Gundam: The Witch From Mecury]

Opening with a Rare Pair but I am here to wave my Sulleta and Chuchu flag. While all my ships are polyam and open to them dating lots of other women if I had to pick a pair for either women it be them together. Unlike their other relationships this is a true ride of die pair. Chuchu and Sulletta always have each others backs even when their hurt by people they love and trust. Their both mech pilots and can fight together. Their adorable and sweet and I can see them blowing up their enemies together and wish we had more of it in the show.

Whisper and Tangle [Sonic IDW]

Pictured above is not an edit but an actual panel from Sonic IDW. While the creators have fairly clearly said that Sega simply will not allow them to make any romance canon straight or gay including for original characters these two are clearly being written as a couple and everyone has simply agreed that they are gay and hoping that fan pressure will eventually force Segas hands. These hero besties are opposites attracts goodness one is silent and keeps her feelings inside the other is out there and emotional but both kick ass together and support each other. These furries are probably as close to canon romance sonic is gonna get for the foreseeable future and their just so cute I'll never get over them.

Edelgard Polycule

While not a new ship or a ship with new offical content at all in 2023 outside of Edelgard talking about some of her girlfriends in Emblem ring conversations in Engage but I made new content, a lot of it for this ship in 2023 so it be lying to say it wasn't a top ship, probably the top ship given I ya know made fan content for it. Edelgard deserves all the girlfriends in the world and I am utterly giddy when I think about Edelgard and her big group of GFs. I feel similarly about many FE women but none as strongly as Lady Edelgard [Monica moment]. Edelgard does so much to make a better future for everyone and I think at the end of it, she should be loved every second of the rest of her life. I'm even doing like a private Three Houses roleplay thing for our combined ideal route for the game and crafting our own definitive version of the story.

HarlIvy [Harley Quinn Animated, DC]

Harlivy forever! Harlivy is for sure one of my oldest ships but it's also a ship that had a fucking load of amazing new stuff this year. While I have not read the comics proper we had a main line Harley Quinn comic where they said that a multiversal truth about Harley is that she has an Ivy and a fucked up evil Harley was redeemed by finding her fucked up evil Ivy with the help of main Harley. We had the utterly adorable DC Pride comic featuring them basically adopting Crash another lesbian character. Then we had a new season of Harley Quinn animated that while it started rough I think had a good purpose in establishing what the creators believe is the heart of Harley and Ivy and it's something I agree with so ya know awesome. Harley and Ivy complete each other and while I see them as being polyam I think their the core part of their relationship, nesting bitches for life. Their a couple I'd love to write some fics for and in general just a dynamic I really truly love a lot. Harley and Ivy are complicated and messy gals and seeing them figure their shit out together is great.

Jala/Tyler/Diya [Thirsty Suitors]

I want this messy trio of exes to be a sexy little triad. Jala and Tyler have a very messy history but to me I think the answer is clear on why Jala is like this, which is that she will never be happy with just one partner, she's not meant for monogamy and I think when her and Tyler have healed more and Jala realizes this about herself, they can have a talk and like both actually have a healthy polyam relationship rather than a toxic monogamous relationship. That's where Diya comes in she was an asshole and a bully but she's grown and she is a proud out lesbian now and helps take care of the community something Tyler cares about and she's still into Jala and i think them growing into a cute little throuple would be so good and I wanna see them kiss and I need it actually, it's canon according to me.

Pink Sugar Polycule [Pink Sugar]

This polycule is end game but I've been sold on them from go. These four sexy lesbians are just all such compelling characters, I want to know more about all of them, their lives when they were human, their lives in Purgatory, and see them thrive together as a little quad of deliciously darling dykes. These are some of my favorite characters ever written and the story is still in it's early days. I imagine in years to follow they will remain a favorite ship. They all feel very different but all feel like a realistic group of people to be friends and be lovers. Every dynamic between them works and they suit each other every way around. Any of them would be an amazing couple but all together their an even better polycule.

Juri and Chun-li [Street Fighter]

Another classic Alexis Sara ship that's got some new spice this year. The release of Street Fighter 6 had a little bit more Juri and Chun-li for us, Juri is still obsessed at the very least. Then we got a few extra tidbits in the You Got This Juri comics. Juri is this messy little disaster Gremlin and Chun-li is a mostly has it together sweet now adoptive mother. I think Juri would add some fun to Chun-lis life and Chun-li would help her get her shit together. I think both of them could help them be morally better people Juri would de-cop Chun-li and Chun-li would help her like not take obviously dubious hit jobs. Their just kinda perfect for each other ya know.

Sailorcule [Sailor Moon]

This is another one that technically had "no new content" like I didn't watch the new movie, I've been waiting for an offical release and it's not happened so here I am but what I did really get into this year was enjoying the inner senshi as a big polycule. I always enjoyed HaruMichi and quickly enjoyed HaruMichiSetsuna but kinda just shipping all the girls together while something on paper was like sure I do that evolved from a sure thing to something I actively really enjoy. A lot of that is thanks to yamino's amazing fan art and my own Magical Girl OCs who are pretty heavily inspired by Sailor Moon so I started to see them in the dynamics between the girls.

Shadowheart and Nocturne [Baldur's Gate 3]

One of this years totally new ships and one I truly adore and wish was more popular was Shadowheart X Nocturne. These two have probably my favorite tropey ship dynamic of them all Childhood friends to lovers. I enjoy all sorts of dynamics but when I am roleplaying, when I am looking at my most beloved ships, I am thinking wouldn't it be cute if they knew each other when they were younger? Nocturne and Shadowheart are so loaded with good little spice in their childhood friends to lovers arc too though. Like Shadowheart and Nocturne both picked their chosen names together. Shadowheart would forget everything with memories being erased and Nocturne would tell her everything and still love her every time. Even after forgetting her again in the most recent events Nocturne remains loyal to her to the point where if Shadowheart becomes a Selunite the sworn enemy of Shar Nocturne despite not having the strength to leave the faith still acts as an inside woman to help Shadowheart evade assassins from Shar. I think the two should get married and live happily ever after and my Tav can marry them both too, I don't see why not and they can both fuck Alyin and Isobel while we're at it. I just want them to be happy together. Outside of Three Houses stuff this is the ship I am most compelled to write fics for simply because no one else is shipping them and I think it's so fucking juicy and why won't anyone sit down with me and eat some of this delicious juicy fruits.

Rae Clair [I'm In Love With The Villainess]

MISSSS CLAIR! Rae's obsession with Clair might frustrate me a bit in the light novel version but in every other version I only find it utterly endearing. I love a good obsession, I love when someone is like on their mind so often and they live for them and it's just ahh so yummy. I think what Rae brings to Clair is really nice for Clair too. Clair feels abandoned constantly, she's lonely and trying to fit a model of a type of person that she's been told she's supposed to be. Rae helps her break those norms, makes her feel not alone, makes her realize she wants to help people. Their really adorable and I do look forward to picking up more of the audiobooks of the light novels and seeing how their relationships evolve along with keeping up with the manga as it releases in English volumes. Their really good and I want to engage them in every medium I can.

Nomoto X Kasuga [She Loves To Cook And She Loves To Eat]

I mean I couldn't not put these two on this list, I want them to kiss and have a house and get married and be together forever. This one has no messy layers, there isn't really the juice but what they have is the true to life, down to it's core, amazing sweetness. It's like a wonderful ice cream dish lovingly crafted down to the last delightfully delicate detail. They just are so good together, they make each other happy, they have a really real feeling healthy slowly building relationship. They both bring out the best in each other and they both always have a good time together. It's really perfect and I think it just feels so honest and sweet and like ya know as a lesbian I feel really seen by them, their relationship, them as characters and the whole story. Nothing is quite as wonderful as She Loves To COok and She Loves To Eat.
