DPXDC Prompt #43 Part 1
Everything had been going well on their trip. Danny was going to tell his parents all about his past, and about being the half dead ghost king. Unfortunately, Danny’s life had a reputation for how terribly unlucky he was. He and his family were caught off guard, and even Danny couldn’t prevent himself from fainting when hit in the back of the head with what he assumed must have been something metal.
When he came too he could tell his arms were bound together behind his back and there were two others adjacent to him. He didn’t shift or open his eyes to avoid letting their abductors know he was awake. He could hear some soft tapping that almost sounded like chalk. There were hushed whispers but they were too muffled to hear. He couldn’t tell how much time had passed but he was starting to get a little bored. He knew his family was probably with him, they were right next to him and would have noticed him getting kidnapped.
Eventually he heard a rustling sound next to him, they must be waking up too, “Maddie? Danny?” Their soft voice spoke.
There wasn’t a reply but that meant Danny was correct, well at least about his dad. He wasn’t 100% sure if mom and Jazz were here but he needed to figure out a way to get out of this without letting their kidnappers know he had powers.
Another shift this time in the opposite direction. “Mom? Danny?”
“Jazzie-Pants!! Are you okay? They didn’t hurt you did they?” His words were a bit panicked and almost made Danny reveal his awareness.
“No. I’m fine, Dad? Where are we?” Jazz sounded more annoyed than worried.
A voice interrupted them before their dad could respond, “Quiet hunter scum,” the bags were removed from all of their heads and then ice water was thrown out of a bucket at them. Everyone else groaned as they were shocked awake by how cold it was.
Danny figured there was no use pretending to sleep now so he opened his eyes. They had been captured by cultists and were tied next to each other with a large circle drawn out in chalk. The circle, from some of the runes Danny could make out, looked like a summoning one. Upon further examination they looked more closely to the ones that would summon him, too bad it won’t work since he’s already here… They don’t know that though, and he could use this opportunity to mess with them.
One of the cultists, probably the leader, stepped forward and started speaking toward his followers and started a really long winded speech but a couple things caught Danny’s attention. One they were sacrificing him and his family because his parents hunted ghosts so the Ghost King would of course seek revenge. Two there were five of them there, that meant an extra person was tied up as a sacrifice as well. Who that was Danny didn’t know but he had to save them, he’d get them all out of here.
“That’s all quite fascinating but what does this have to do with me?” A familiar voice said. Danny knew exactly who the voice belonged too and it wasn’t his Mom, Dad, or sister. The fifth person happened to be his twin brother whom he hadn’t spoken to since before he faked his death.
Damian, from the sound of his voice, was behind Danny probably on the other side of his Dad. Danny hadn’t said anything yet so Damian was unaware Danny was there. The dark cavern like room didn’t allow a lot of room for light but there were quite a few candles and torches illuminating the space.
Before anyone could say anything else a loud crash was heard, Danny couldn’t see as the noise was behind him and the room descended into chaos.

𝑺𝑭𝑾🌿
・You’re light in not only Stiles’ life, but the whole group.
・They come to you when life feels too much.
・You’re there with the kettle on, ready to hear their problems and read their tea leaves
・There’s always an animal worming their way around your legs, either a cat or one of your dogs
・You adopt as many animals as you can, usually from Alan Deaton, the vet.
・Scott likes you because you bring a sense of calm to Stiles’ chaos
・And Stiles didn’t realise he had a crush on you until Scott pointed it out.
・You constantly have to bring Stiles back down to earth. His mind is constantly racing and thinking about the next problem
・Stiles couldn’t help but fall in love with you. You were always so kind to him. When everyone else thought he was ‘too much’, you couldn’t get enough
・ It was your smile that did it for Stiles. That sweet, sometimes mischievous smile.
・You originally thought Stiles was one of those sceptics that brushed the existence of magic as mere fiction
・But Stiles was the first one to believe in your witchcraft:
“We have werewolves, Banshees and god knows what else. A witch seems the most realistic.”
・When the group doesn’t have any leads, they come to you for help. It’s not easy being a witch. It uses a lot of energy. You can do locating spells, but it drains you a lot
・Stiles hates coming to you for help because he knows how much it physically costs you
・Some teenagers like to graffiti your home - but they can only do it once. You’ve cast a spell so whoever tries to do it again loses their ability to talk normally
・It also means you know who’s been doing it
・Because parents panic and news always travels around town, the graffiti is next to non-existent now (also because Stiles makes sure to clean it off before you notice)
・He can be very, very stubborn. And often thinks he knows what is best.
・But he’s also ... very honest. So you know when he’s lying (he’s so bad at it):
     “Stiles...tell me the truth.”
“The truth is ... that ... I ... am...- okay god stop looking at me like that.”
・Likes cuddling A LOT. But is fussy, and if he can’t get perfectly comfortable, then he wants to be the little spoon.
・Is a really heavy sleeper, and whenever he stays over at your place he’s the last to wake up
・LOVES when you make his favourite food. Literally falls in love, not even being dramatic. His mind is like ‘this is the one. I’m keeping them.’
・Loyal to. a. fault. Will die for you, will do everything in his power to keep you safe and out of danger. That’s another reason why he doesn’t like getting you involved in the supernatural stuff.
・You know exactly what he’s thinking, because you can see it clearly on his face.
・ “Stiles, do you tell my secrets to Scott?”
“Ugh, not the really secretive ones?”
・Sheriff Stilinksi loves you, he thinks you’re great for Stiles. You make his chaos less ... chaotic. He was a bit apprehensive about your witchcraft at first, but then he had the same outlook as Stiles. “At least you’re not a ...hellhound or something.”
・Stiles NEVER fails to make you laugh
・You find the most random things in his car. Ducktape, a metal baseball bat, keys to many, many buildings, rope. You asked him if he had a first aid kit, since he had everything else, and his eyes glazed over.
“I KNEW I was forgetting something. God!”
・You make protection amulets for him, and give him crystals. He doesn’t understand but takes them wholeheartedly anyway
・His favourite crystals are labradorite (”because I like when it shines, duh”), malachite and blue tiger’s eye
・Vending machines are his mortal enemy and if he sees one he forbids you from using it (you use it anyway)
・Having weekly meals at his father’s place
・You were really really good friends with Allison, and her death was heavy for you.
・Adores going to metaphysical stores with you. He picked out a deck of tarot cards (wants to pay but you never let him. So he tries to gift you as many things as you’ll need, so he can buy them)
𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝑷𝒆𝒕 𝑵𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝒀𝒐𝒖: You’d think he would be very open with nicknames for you. But he’s very embarrassed by it. Not embarrassed of you, but of showing you verbal affection. After being in a stable relationship for a while, he would start calling you names like ‘sweetheart,’ or ‘honey’, especially when you weren’t listening to his warnings
𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒖𝒂𝒈𝒆: Physical Touch and Words of Affirmation. He’s always on the go and can feel like you aren’t a part of his world. But you always make sure to leave little trinkets in his pockets or in his car.

Orphic Hymn 64 to Nomos (trans. Taylor) (Greek hymns C3rd B.C. to 2nd A.D.) : "Hymn to Nomos (Law). The holy king of gods and men I call, heavenly Nomos, the righteous seal of all: the seal which stamps whatever the earth contains, and all concealed within the liquid plains: stable, and starry, of harmonious frame, preserving laws eternally the same. Thy all-composing power in heaven appears, connects its frame, and props the starry spheres; and unjust envy shakes with dreadful sound, tossed by thy arm in giddy whirls around. 'Tis thine the life of mortals to defend, and crown existence with a blessed end; for thy command alone, of all that lives, order and rule to every dwelling goes. Ever observant of the upright mind, and of just actions the companion kind. Foe to the lawless, with avenging ire, their steps involving in destruction dire. Come, blest, abundant power, whom all reverse, by all desired, with favouring mind draw near; give me through life on thee to fix my sight, and never forsake the equal paths of right."
It always begins and ends with numbers. In a material universe, there are laws written unto the foundation of everything, from the most ancient stars to the machinery of atoms, the edicts that dictate the fundament are written eternal. In this place absent of meaning, walls of metal and the hollow men who loomed over the lost and the damned, did Thane Solcar fortify her mind with numbers, the digits providing rhythm, the equations lyrics, and solutions a chorus.
Estimated population of the Imperium between (10 to the 15th power) and (10 to the 24th power).
Thane Solcar had been someone small as opposed to negligible value in the Imperium of Man. The younger daughter of a minor nobility, an off shoot of some distant ancestor of greater significance whose wayward progeny had used their inheritance to separate from the greater dynasty to find their own way as a merchant noble making their travails among the stars. Not content to settle into a sedentary life upon anyone one location in the Empire of Humanity, they had been wayfarers upon the void. And her parents had ensured she'd never lacked the respect in the machine spirits and their codices on the proper maintenance and direction, and she had taken well to it, learning keenly and adapting what could be safely learned for one technically not part of the Followers of the Omnissiah, but like any of the voidborn, their ship was the world, the galaxy distant compared to the great emptiness that fills it. And the reliance upon the Light that allowed one to navigate it.
Tithe requires 1,000-4,000 subjects daily. In a single year, 365,000 to 1,460,000 are brought to Holy Terra. They are brought...
The Astronomican, the Light that spanned across the Imperium, allowing The Imperium to exist, was known to any Voidborn who bothered to use their ears. The need to have it and the Navis Nobiliti, who alone could used that Light as a point of reference across the infinite. Thane knew the Navis were psyker mutants, and thus not trusted by many of the ground walkers, but the necessity of them, both in the immediate wellbeing of her family's fortunes and mankind as a whole, went a long way to smothering the hatred that Thane was told she should feel for such beings. What use was hate for something that you needed to live? This thought process proved beneficial, a passive acceptance of the need of psykers. It helped when she learned that she herself was one.
...before the Astronomican, and aid in its care, under the gaze of His Divine Majesty. This has been the case for the last 10,000 years. Therefore...
It began innocently enough. Thane thought she heard choruses outside the hull and tried to imitate them, trying to find harmony, and Things began listen to and object to the harmony. The discordance (Chaos) overtook so much, and only the harmonies that sought brought a notion of defense even as ice began to freeze her surroundings. The Caretakers of the Black Ships thus found her, lost in the harmonies and the numbers she mumbled like a shield, even as everything else was lost. ...those brought to the Astronomican in the history of the Imperium thus number between 3 to 8 billion depending on the consistency of those provided by the Black Ships. But....where do they go, the numbers of people, they need somewhere to go...where are...
Thus it had been for the days of the journey on Black Ship, the vessels whose purpose was to find and transport the Tithe, the psykers the Imperium could provide. That the Imperium needed. She could not trust her newfound senses, but Thane had been using the far more trusted sense of her ears, and listened to what little the guardians on the ship had said. She knew they were going to the homeworld of mankind, to serve The God Emperor in some way related to the Astronomican. Unknown to her, two women observed her briefly as they studied Thane and the other Psyker prisoners. They spoke with their hands, having long ago made an oath of silence. (This one?) (Too weak willed. Mumbling throughout the journey, insane due to what happened to her kinsmen aboard the ship we found her. She will serve the God-Emperor by providing him the kindling He needs) And with that, her fate decided, they walked by, moving on to determine fate of the next imprisoned, and Thane Solcar was sentenced by the servants of The Emperor. And that should have been the end of it. -----
The Golden Throne is often invoked by the denizens of the Imperium of man, nearly as synonymous as their empire and the god they are devoted to as the emblem of the Aquila, the icon of their empire. But the Throne itself is often less depicted beyond a simple chair that the iconography of the Emperor at rest. In truth, it is more than that. Housed in the holy mountain that had once been known as Everest as a sign of human pride or Chomolungma for those who'd been born under her shadow and thus knew her as Mother of the world, the Mountain had been hollowed long ago, and it was here and among the sister mountains that the Imperial Palace resided, respledent with a majesty that silenced the past natural beauty in favor of the crafted golden glory of the relatively recent Imperium of Man. It was here, that Thane Solcar was brought, her newfound senses blinding her to any notion of Imperial Opulence, as the Light of the Astronomican burned so brightly, making even the sun seem a distant comparison to the Light that crowned this world. And beneath that crown sat Him, The Emperor. She could not see Him, hidden away in a labyrinth of gold, iron, and stone, but as she was laid out among the rows upon rows of other Tithed, she could feel Him, like a crystaline spike that all reality seemed to twist through. One by one, then multitude by multitude, she watched as the Tithed became part of that light, their souls as bright as myriad stars, were taken, absorbed, added ot the conflagration that was Him. Death, she realized. Death was what awaited those sacrficed before Him on Earth. With comprehension did not rouse panic, not yet, but as she hummed her harmonies, her soul beginning to be dragged into the cosmic bonfire that was Soul of the Master of Mankind, she dared something that some would consider blasphemy as her soul made contact with the Emperor.
Why?
The Light overtook her, and Annihilation or Consumption did not claim her. Instead she Saw, her single question answered in the form of a galaxy long burning. Thane Solcar saw the galaxy burning over a period of fifteen thousand years and humanity and xenos alike lost to that conflagration. Once great nations and dreams forever lost, be it to Man's own Folly, the machinations of dark powers from within and without reality, or the simple cruelties of fate. She saw the Emperor's dream of uniting mankind after the Long Night, a belief in the destiny of her species, their species, for He spoke to her now in a way that rendered others to embers, a fire she was now, and yet still herself.
She saw the events leading to the Great Crusade, the Crusade itself and the endless wars that followed, of Heresy, of Conquest, of Glory and Purpose. She saw why He had decided the neccessity of it all, paid in blood and lives uncountable.
And yet she counted. It pained her to, counting not only the psykers given to bonfire that was the Astronomican, but those lost to war and pogrom, genocide, betrayal, and hatred. So much hatred. She saw the nations that had been rebuilding before the Emperor had forced Compliance, and how many could have built back the lost empires and federation of humanity, not as a single beast with a emperor deified, either in faith or reason, but the lost cultures and hopes of peoples across countless worlds. She counted them all, considered them all, and this, more than anything, became a new flame that burned bright in her chest, the lost harmonies finding a home within Thane Solcar.
Thane looked at the Emperor, what remained of the man upon a dying throne. And named him Demiurge, master of much but not all, wise but flawed, alive but dead. More hollow god then broken man. She left the mythology he'd created with the Imperium as its spiritual demesne, and took her own faith with her, seeking Nomos elsewhere. Thus she was found, strange and heretical notions buried deep, alone alive among thousands given in blood and spiritual sacrifice, the mark of the Aquila branded in gold upon her brow. The sanctity of the Emperor, it was decided, and all the better for it. A Rogue trader house, distant ancestor of the Solcars, had been seeking this one errant psyker. Perhaps there she could be made to serve the Emperor and all His great works.

Restoration (Chapter 5)
And in this instance, all chaos ensues. With a little bit of comfort, fearplay, and a backstory dump because why not.
Word Count: 8.9k
CW: Death, description of a dead body, fear, trigger warnings, anxiety, and panic attacks.
5-Nathan
It was cold. Too cold.
I looked down, seeing that my dad’s jacket was wrapped loosely around my skinny and frail frame. My breath shaky, the floor cold and hard. A dim, flickering light shone above me, offering no sense of relief. Body trembling, I wrapped around myself for any sort of warmth. Where was mom?
A quick look around, and there were thick, metal bars encasing me in whatever cage I was trapped in. Not again.
My breathing quickened, hyperventilating. I snuggled closer to my dad’s torn-up jacket, hoping for this nightmare to go away. Was I here again? Was nothing real? Was I just dreaming for so long? Is my mom… Nononono. Bloody tears started stinging my eyes. I can’t do this anymore.
My stomach growled from hunger. When was the last time I ate? Doesn’t matter. They wouldn’t give me anything anyways. At least unless they wanted to keep me in a condition where I could still be alive.
I sniffled, silently crying to myself. My body hurts so much. So many fresh cuts I felt on my back it stung every time the fabric from the jacket pressed on it. My arms were covered in dirt and mud. My head felt dizzy from the loss of blood. Or maybe I was in shock from the pain. I felt so weak that I could barely move my limbs to get comfortable. Not there was such a thing when you’re used as a stress toy for others. Some for entertainment.
The light above me suddenly went out. Leaving me in a dark room. Cold. Alone. With nothing but my own silent cries. Where were my parents? Did they do something to them? Why weren’t they here with me? That didn’t matter though. If they had them, there was nothing I could do.
There were agonizing whisperers all around me. Taunting me. I covered my ears, not feeding into their lies. Looking up just once, I saw my dad’s dead body. A cold, heartless, body laid before me. With whatever energy and strength I had left, I crawled over, tears falling faster and blurring my vision. I remembered how they threw him right in front of my mother and I after they mercilessly murdered him. The way I was too shocked for words. The way my mother crumbled in front of me, crying on his lifeless chest. I remember being so scared at how they easily killed him with not so much as a struggle. Just went lifeless with a pinch of their fingers.
I cried and I cried upon seeing his dead body again. Why did this happen? I hugged his limp body, hoping that would bring him back.
“Quit crying you annoying you little pest.”
Something dragged me away, my face being scraped along with concrete floor and still reaching for my dad, who was only getting further away. I screamed, still crying and blood falling down from my head.
——————————
I woke up in a cold sweat, sitting up and breathing heavily. Looking around, I found my room just the way I left it the night before. Laying in my bed, my backpack up against the wall, and seeing the stuffed teddy bear my dad had bought me all those years ago still right beside me. I quickly grabbed it and held it close, tears escaping my eyes. This was all mom and I had left of him, and mom let me have it.
“Honey? Everything okay in there? You sounded like you were crying.” My mom came in, her voice soft and sweet like always. She stopped at the doorway, seeing me holding the bear close and my eyes watery from tears. She smiled softly, sitting down next to me, “What’s wrong sweetie?”
I sniffled, wiping away loose tears and letting new ones escape, “Just… Just a bad dream.” I waited for her to give me a hug, but I knew she wouldn’t. Not because she didn’t want to, but because she was traumatized. Everything they did made her scared of anyone touching her. Including me. I hated what they did to us.
“It’ll be okay, Nate. Nothing bad will happen to you ever again, okay? Your father loved you so much,” She planted a soft kiss on my cheek, and stood up, “Now, come get some breakfast! I made your favorite.” And I couldn’t help but wonder how she never talks about dad.
——————————
It was Friday, which meant that today was the day I was actually going over to Ryker’s. I wasn’t too excited, but I’ve grown used to Ryker just like Lucky had said the other day. Not too much though. I’ve been expressing myself just a little bit more. Laughing whenever he would ramble on about things that he hated, liked. He would ask me questions to try and get to know me a little better. I’ve learned to be some-what comfortable around him. That doesn’t mean that I wasn’t scared though. I was still scared of his hands… scared every time they moves closer to me or when it seemed like they were closing in on me when they weren’t. Otherwise, it was getting just the slightest bit better.
Yesterday, Ryker told me that he had a lot of siblings. Not just two or three, but five. How he deals with that? I have zero idea. Especially when Lucky was a human. Upon hearing the news, I nearly had a panic attack, but he told me it wasn’t too much to worry about. He also mentioned that he had a little sister that was human, which meant that there were four giants. Who they were? I have zero idea, and I was scared to find out, but I was just glad he was telling me this so I could be prepared. I bought a little panda stuffed animal for his little sister yesterday just to make a good impression and since I couldn’t really get presents for giants… This was the only way I knew how to seem like I wasn’t just the weak human everyone knows I am.
As I made my way through the halls, people were staring at me. For what reason? I didn’t know. I didn’t know any of these people. Was I wearing something weird? I just had on a hoodie and some regular jeans. Was it the way my body trembled as I thought about everything that could go wrong during my time at Ryker’s? Or the way I tripped over my own two feet every five minutes. It was embarrassing but I couldn’t really help it. I was nervous about later today. What they would all think about me. I don’t even know who these people are.
I walked into the classroom, seeing the same chaos as the other days and stayed close to the walls. Everything was going to be okay. Just stick With Ryker and Lucky and I won’t have to do anything too crazy. Hopefully. Just meet three other giants without passing out or thinking of what they could do to me. Who was I kidding? Something was bound to go wrong. Horribly wrong. I mean, what if they just keep me there against my will? That they were just lying to trap me in another cage? There goes my overthinking again. And it wasn’t entirely wrong.
Ryker was sitting down at our usual desk on his phone. I climbed into the elevator, noticing that he looked a lot more tired than usual. Not just because he had bags under his eyes either. More like he was physically tired too. I felt bad, but what could I do? I was only human.
Today felt like a good day. Sort of. Besides the nightmare I had this morning, but that can just stay between my mom and I. My grip around my bag tightened as I took the first couple steps onto his desk. For some reason it felt like something heavy was on top of me, holding me down. More precisely my back. My gaze fell to the ground as I slowly turned to look up and saw a hand reaching for me. I blinked, scooting backwards and nearly falling on my butt. There was no hand. Just Ryker’s confused and sympathetic face. Just overthinking things, Nathan. I told myself as I stood back up.
“Everything alright?” Ryker had asked, shoving his phone back into his pocket. I nodded my head, biting the side of my cheek. That hand wasn’t real… What was going on with me? No, it’s just from that nightmare I had. Nothing was wrong. That heavy feeling on my back never went away though, and it made it hard for me to move any closer to Ryker’s hand.
My body remembers how badly they tortured me. The scars on my back were burning, making me jolt up and take a few deep breaths. If I hadn’t had that stupid nightmare everything would have been okay. I would’ve had a normal day and maybe, just maybe, I would be able to survive being away from home for a couple hours. I wouldn’t have been overreacting like now.
I forced my body to take the few shaky steps forward, falling on my face as usual when I stepped onto Ryker’s hand. I really have to figure out how to get on without giving myself a bruise. Not just for my sake either. Ryker didn’t say anything today, but he wore a worried expression until he made it to his first class.
During lunch, Ryker had put a show on his phone. The same one we started watching yesterday. He always claims that if I don’t want to watch it I didn’t have to, but I always did. Not just because the show was actually really good, but mostly because I have fun listening to him complain about some of the characters. Even if I can’t say anything about them either. I mostly agree with everything he says anyways though.
The rest of the day went by fast. By the time I knew it, it was already the last period of the day and nothing super eventful had happened. Surprising since this was a high school and something always happens. But no. Not today. At least that’s what I thought before this period.
When we walked into the classroom, the projector was on. Not super abnormal, but what scared me more was what video she was playing for us today. The recent riot that happened just last night. I’ve always hated seeing these things. Someone always injured, and I hated seeing it. It keeps reminding me of my dad.
“So for today I was going to give you all a test,” The whole class groaned besides Ryker and I, who’s eyes were glued to the screen, “-but since there was a certain… mishap yesterday, I’ll just ask you questions throughout the video as your test grade this week. If you get uncomfortable, please exit the classroom.”
Mrs. Kay turned off the lights and played the video from a police officers view. The camera was shaky and people were yelling right outside of a building. Did I know which one? No. This wasn’t on the human side of the city. It kind of looked like a club or party place or something like that.
I gulped, unconsciously scooting backwards, bringing my knees close to my chest. I remember my mom telling me about this when she came home last night. That there were five people who were injured, and two of them had died from their injuries. Was I about to watch how they died? No, they couldn’t show that at school, right?
The officers tried to get the people out of the way and hold them off. The signs reading, “Humans have no place!” And, “Down with their hierarchy!”
The weird thing about it was that everyone there looked so angry. They were all grown men. None of them looked like mature adults. It looked like they just wanted to kill. Just like the people who captured us… I couldn’t watch anymore as I heard the insane screams and yells coming from the crowd in the video. I wrapped my arms around my knees and buried my head. This was the only way I knew how to ignore things around me. I guess it didn’t help that the room was dark just like in my nightmare.
The video ended with ten minutes until the bell. I took a few shaky breaths before turning around to face Ryker. He looked kind of shocked before asking me a question, “Are you okay? Seriously, I’m genuinely worried.” I nodded my head, lying. What was I supposed to do? Just admit that I really don’t think I can handle being around so many people? That I was terrified of just being around Ryker for too long? I get anxious and my mind gets fuzzy sometimes so it’s a good thing that he lets me have breaks during lunch and his seventh period. Otherwise I’d be all kinds of stressed.
“Well, tonight we were gonna watch a movie if you wanna stay for that. You don’t have to of course. I’ll take you home before then.” He had offered, an encouraging smile on his face. A movie did sound good… and my mom has been working all night lately. I’ll jus tell her I’ll be coming home late. What could another two hours do? We were just going to be sitting at a couch watching a movie. It’s not like anyone will be focused on me more than the movie either.
I nodded my head, agreeing to watch the movie with him, and I couldn’t help but notice how he silently cheered. Like it was an accomplishment that I wanted to stay there for longer than necessary. If I were being honest, I just didn’t want to be at home by myself anymore. It gets lonely. Really lonely. And quiet.
So far, everything was good. He was just walking along the concrete path that had accommodations for humans on the side that was furthest from the road. Mostly because humans also live on the giant side of town. Me? I’ve never been. How could I when I was still afraid? Somehow, Ryker made that a little easier today. Or maybe that was because I knew I wouldn’t get trampled on the instant I took a step as long as I was in his hand.
Thoughts clouded my mind. Like, what if his siblings don’t like me? What if his parents don’t? What if I’m just a pest like everyone thinks I am? What if his siblings don’t think I’m a nice person and do something to me? What if I’m just grabbed by one of them?
“Nathan? You’re trembling again.” Ryker stated worriedly. I muttered a sorry under my breath, for some reason expecting him to hear that. I just calmed myself down, sitting comfortably in the middle of Ryker’s palm. I was used to this. Lucky was right.
“Are you nervous?” He asked with a slight chuckle, taking a turn and waiting for the signal on the traffic light to say he could walk along with two other adults that look like they were just going to take the bus. I nodded my head to his question. Nervous, anxious, stressed, all the bad things and so much more.
“It’ll be fine. They’ll love you. Plus, you don’t have to deal with anyone but me for another hour before they come. Jasmine has a club meeting afterschool and has to watch Isabelle and Angela before she comes home with both of them, and Lucky goes practically no where without Dylan, so he waits for Dylan to finish whatever sport he has practice for.” Ryker explained, sighing like it was a lot to keep up with. It sounded like it honestly. I could never have to watch over that many siblings. How do his parents even handle it? It seemed so chaotic. With six kids? I’d honestly be crying nearly every night.
Ryker went silent for a while, thinking about what to bring up before he took another turn down a busy part of the street. There were people everywhere trying to catch a bus, or just waiting to be picked up by a car. It didn’t help that there was a popular coffee shop on the corner that had tons of people crowding all around. I nearly passed out from the amount of people. I looked to the human sidewalk, seeing that there were still so many of them walking like there wasn’t just an entire crowd directly above them. I shuddered thinking about how easily Ryker could drop me right about now. But he didn’t. Effortlessly dodging the crowds of people and getting to a calmer portion of the street.
“You’re fine with pizza for dinner, right?” Ryker brought up randomly, taking another turn and getting to a neighborhood with huge houses. That was such a random question, but I nodded my head. I was fine with pizza. If I was up to the task of putting any kind of food into my body.
He walked up to one of the houses one the very edge of the road. It had a huge backyard with a pool in the back, flowers and plants that look like they were about to wilt from the cold front that was coming next week. When Ryker opened the door, there was a huge living room with two L-shaped couches, photos of what seemed to be his family, which was a lot. But it looked like it was and old picture. There were picture frames of what looked to be Ryker’s parents on their wedding day sitting on the little cabinet by the hallway. It was dimly lit since the curtains were covering the windows, and the tv sat right in the middle of the living room sitting on a stand that had a couple movies laying around. I also noticed that there were little human-sized pathways that led to almost any counter and cabinet in the house. All coming from one human sized door that was in the hallway.
This place was really big. Not even counting the second floor where the carpeted stairs led up to. I guess you did need a big house if you had six kids. I’m surprised the place isn’t a mess. How do his parents manage all of this? I know I’ve brought it up a billion times but I’m genuinely confused. Honestly with how big this place is it made me feel unusually small and uncomfortable. Not that I don’t already feel that way at school, but still. It nearly made me dizzy.
“And welcome to my house. It may look big, but when you have five other people living with you it gets crowded.” Ryker introduced, taking us down the hallway and to the farthest door on the right. His room? Most likely.
He set his backpack down up against his bed. I looked around, not knowing that he was watching me. His walls were covered in what looked like hand-drawn posters and paintings. Including one picture frame of himself by the door. His desk was up against the wall by his bed, with a lamp, a laptop sitting in the middle, and a couple of pens and markers. A bookshelf lined right next to the window that would have peeked outside if he didn’t have the curtains closed. But wow did he have a lot of books.
“It’s not all that exciting, right?” He laughed. I jumped, not realizing that I was still looking around for anything else to focus on. Was it rude to look around? I wouldn’t think so as long as I wasn’t snooping through his things like some creep. Not that I could anyways.
“Sorry, you’re probably tired of me holding you.” He walked over to the human-sized door in the hallway, slightly tilting his hand to make it easier for me to get off. I admit, it was getting a little overwhelmed, but it’s nothing I couldn’t handle. Plus, he could’ve been holding me in a fist or just shoving me in a pocket so I wasn’t about to complain.
“Make yourself comfortable. I’ll be in the kitchen when you want to come out.” He smiled, standing up to his terrifying height and gesturing towards the kitchen. So he wasn’t just going to keep me around him constantly? I feel like he would have to do that with Lucky and Angela. So he just doesn’t? How do they function in this house?
I walked in through the door, being met with a tiny human-sized house. Maybe just like a little house that has the necessities. Kitchen, two bedrooms that were down the hall with the door closed, bathroom, laundry. There wasn’t all that much space, so that made me wonder if Lucky and Angela slept in here.
Setting my bag by the door, I gave myself a quick tour, but never opened the bedroom doors. I didn’t want to be in someone else’s business. But overall, they kept this place pretty clean. But what I liked most about this little space is that it blocked off everything big. It gave me a sense of peace and comfort with being around so much. Maybe that’s what they use this for other than giving basic needs? I don’t know. I’m not the one living with giants.
I took around five minutes to compose myself to be willing to be around Ryker for another couple hours without having an anxiety attack. That was including his other siblings who probably don’t even know I exist. I didn’t know if they would want to talk or interact with me. Preferably not but I didn’t want to be rude.
Ryker was sitting down on one of the stools before I walked over, not really knowing how to get up there. So was this like the library where I didn’t know how to get his attention? Still, it was a little nerve-racking to see so big so close. I wasn’t used to craning my neck just to see barely to his shoulders. I frowned. How was I supposed to do this? If I can’t even get his attention how would I even be able to stay around for another… six hours?
My eyes landed on one of the little elevators that looked like the ones at school, except there was no gate blocking you from falling out. Just railing that you hold on tightly to. My eyes darted back and forth from the elevator and Ryker, who was now holding his head up with one arm. This was terrifying. I was still recovering from being played around with like some toy. But, if I was going to get better at this, I guess I could take baby steps.
———Ryker———
I stared at my phone, wondering what we would even do for the next hour and a half. I’m sure Nathan doesn’t even want to be here, and I think it’s a crazy idea that Mrs. Kay even forced him to come, but he was doing just fine as of right now. Watching him look around my room was surprising since I was so sure that he would have wanted to be away from all of that. Instead, he actually looked so interested. Much like when I annoy him by talking about the most random things. I would have thought he had ignored me half the time if he hadn’t ever reacted. I talk too much.
What do I do now though? Usually when I’m home alone I finish up whatever homework I have and take a shower before everyone uses up all of the hot water. The thing with that is I didn’t want to leave Nathan alone. Mom always said it was rude to leave guests all alone with nothing to do, and I didn’t really have a plan for the day. Just watch a movie later when everyone was here and try my best to keep Nathan from running off like that day in the cafeteria.
Next thing I know, there he was, stumbling out of the elevator dad had to install so Lucky could get around on his own. I shoved my phone in my pocket, still trying to figure out what he’d want to do. It’s going to be hard to guess when he doesn’t talk, but I’ll figure out a way. Hopefully. Why was I freaking out about having someone over again? I forgot.
Nathan sat down on the left side of me. Kind of like he was waiting for me to do something. What was I supposed to do? I hadn’t really thought this far. I pretty much expected him to stay in that room the entire time seeing as I knew he didn’t like being held or even being around me. Yeah. I noticed how he flinches anytime my fingers get a little too close, or how he moves away anytime I was too close to him. I never questioned it, but my guess was that he’s never been around giants. Or at least all too much. Maybe he was from the country, or maybe he just stayed away his entire life, but it was pretty noticeable. I wouldn’t be surprised if people there told stories either. Whatever his parents told him as well.
“Did you want to do something? We could just finish that episode from lunch. If you wanted.” I really hoped that he would give me a verbal answer because I didn’t want him to be bored here or do something he didn’t want to. Nathan just nodded, agreeing to everything I say. What was I supposed to tell the little guy though? It’s not like I knew why he just agreed to whatever.
“You sure?” He nodded his head again, fidgeting with his hands. Something was wrong, but I wasn’t about to make things even more awkward between us. Even though I really wanted to help with whatever was going on. It wasn’t my place to dive into his personal life. Not unless he trusted me enough.
I put on the episode we were watching during lunch and watched it with him. I feel like I should make us some popcorn but I think we only have enough for whatever movie they wanted to watch tonight. Maybe a snack then? I mean it’s only for a little while. It couldn’t hurt to grab something. Especially when I know he at least hasn’t eaten lunch. Nathan never complains or leaves though.
I grabbed a granola bar from the pantry, breaking off a tiny piece for him that was still really big but he can just tear off an even tinier piece. I can’t exactly grab any human-sized food and Lucky and Angela don’t seem to mind when I do this.
Nathan flinched, looking back from me to the piece I was holding out for him. What else was I supposed to do though? He just shook his head, offering a nervous smile practically saying, “No thank you.” But in a sweet voice. Why doesn’t he like me helping? I’ve wondered that for a while.
“I’m not entirely certain, but I’m pretty sure you haven’t eaten anything since breakfast today,” I started, still holding out the piece for him to grab, “Plus, I don’t know if you think I’m going to judge you or something, but I’m not like those sadistic jerks from the other day.” I laughed, trying to lighten the mood. I was guessing it worked when he genuinely smiled tore a small piece off. I’ve never seen him smile unless he was laughing at something I had said.
——————————
The day continued on with me complaining about most of the people from the show and seeing Nathan laugh when I would get mad or make a comment. It was nice knowing that he wasn’t as timid or afraid when we first met. Or that we could have fun even when it was only me talking. Most of the time we weren’t even paying attention to the show, just having a one-sided conversations.
I heard the door being unlocked, checking the time to see that it was already going to be six in the afternoon. An hour later than when they should have been home. Everyone should be here in a little bit. I grabbed my phone, ordered the pizza that had a wait time of about forty minutes, and watch all hell get unleashed.
———Nathan———
It was fun hanging out with Ryker. I mean sure there were times when I would get a little nervous about certain things, or when his hands moved a bit too close to me, but otherwise it was fun just listening to him complain about how “Dramatic” these characters were. Sure, they definitely were, but it’s not even a true story.
Everything was going great before I had head the front door open. I knew this would have happened eventually, but it felt so sudden. It seemed like everything in my body was trying its hardest to make me get up and run away, but I couldn’t do that. I’ve already done so good so far, so why not keep it going for another couple hours. I’m surprised my mom hasn’t called me either. Was everything okay? I’ll call her in a little bit.
“Sorry we’re late! We stopped by the fast staton to grab some more popcorn and snacks since someone didn’t go grocery shopping.” It was a loud, unfamiliar voice. Ryker’s younger brother? I had no idea.
“It’s not my fault they scheduled a practice yesterday! I’ll go tomorrow so you can stop being such a baby.” A feminine voice that did not under any circumstance sound all too happy at the moment.
A shiver ran down my spine as Ryker let out a sigh, muttering an apology to me before running over to where all the voices were. I couldn’t see sine there was a wall blocking my view. I was too scared to go down on the floor because they wouldn’t even know I would be there without looking down. Not the best option at the moment, but I didn’t want to stay on the counter. Not that I had a choice.
I tuned out whatever they were talking about in the other room, and soon enough Ryker came back holding two bags that were filled with drinks and snacks. I hadn’t even noticed Lucky was with him until he called my name and Ryker just laughed, letting him down. I really wish he hadn’t made it obvious that I was here. I was just hoping no one would really notice me in all honesty.
“So how were the two hours of torture with Ry? Grueling, exhausting?” He joked around with me, setting a bag of his own down to help me up. I chuckled a bit, shaking my head, “It was fun…” The quietest whisper I could manage.
Lucky rolled his eyes laughing, “Wanna help me put these away for later? You are staying for movie night, right?” I nodded my head, following him into the elevator and walking in through the same human-sized door from before. Except this time the lamps were automatically turned on and you could see light under both of the bedroom doors. One was a dark blue and the other a light pink. Now I could tell who’s was who’s
I opened the bag, seeing a mini box of popcorn packets plus some boxes of candy and gummy bears which I was guessing were Angela’s.
“Oh yeah, we didn’t know what kind you liked so we just grabbed whatever.” Lucky had said, putting away the box of popcorn and grabbing a couple drinks, stuffing them in the fridge.
“‘We’?”
“Hm? Oh yeah. Everyone knows you’re here. Dylan, Angela, and I picked out some snacks that you might like. Jasmine and Isabelle helped out with drinks. It was a team effort really.” Lucky shrugged his shoulders. Oh. Now that just made me feel so much more worse. They all picked out something for me and I only had a present for Angela? That seemed unfair, but how could I have even bought them anything if… never mind. It’ll be okay. Though, I don’t like this news that everyone knew I was here. It kind of made me even more anxious and scared at the same time.
I helped put some of the candy boxes in the cabinets, while also doing a secret task of locating all of the ingredients for brownies, which they surprisingly did have. So I could just make them while they were all getting ready for the movie and I could sneak these in. Who knows, maybe I could actually make a good first impression?
“You… d-don’t mind if I make something… right?” I asked Lucky cautiously. He shook his head with a smile, “Go for it.” He leaned against the counter as I grabbed a bowl and some other things. I would make cookies but they didn’t have chocolate chips.
I was about to pour the mix into a pan to bake before I heard voices outside that sounded like the one girl that didn’t sound too happy, and another one that sounded like she was a kid.
“Okay. Go tell Lucky to set your shower up, Angel.” Wow. She sounded nothing like she did before. But I guess that was a good thing. Now I didn’t have to worry as much. Nope. Still worried.
The human sized door opened, revealing a little girl who had curly, black hair that was to her shoulders and wearing a Dora The Explorer backpack. I was guessing this was Angela. So was she adopted too? I wouldn’t be surprised.
“Luckyyy. Jasmine told me to tell you to set my shower.” She ran up to Lucky, her arms out like she wanted a hug. Which Lucky happily gave to her. I quickly finished pouring the batter in and shoved it in the oven before Lucky caught onto what I was making. He was already asking questions.
“Alright, just give me a second.” Lucky left the room while Angela stumbled into her room and came back out without her back pack and ran up to me, “What’s your name?” Lucky in the background smiled and gave me a thumbs up while grabbing some clothes for her.
“Nathan. And you’re Angela?” I laughed, looking to my backpack. I still had that stuffed animal to give her. But would she even like it? Because I was afraid if she didn’t she might tell everyone else and then I’d all be on their bad side which would be the exact opposite of what I wanted. I was trying to make friends here because apparently everyone thinks they can help me.
“Cool!” She excitedly hugged me, and I couldn’t help but jump at the sudden embrace. It felt warm. And nice. Even if this was coming from some little kid who was only in, what, kindergarten? I hesitantly hugged her back, seeing as she just giggled and let go. I forgot how much I missed physical contact.
“Hey, your brother, Ryker, told me about you. Soooo I bought you a little gift.” I reached for my bag, pulling out the little panda stuffed animal. She gasped, grabbing the stuffed animal from my hands and hugging it tightly in her arms.
“I’m gonna name her… Livvy! Thank you!” She giggled, running over to her room as I noticed Lucky smiling by the doorway like I had just done some kind of surprising act. Was I not supposed to get her anything? She seemed to love it. Especially with the way she named it so fast. Livvy was a nice name though.
Angela was taking a bath, and Lucky hadn’t stopped teasing me about the panda. But otherwise everything was going great. What I had thought would be a big mistake was actually a great success.
“You bought her something and not me? Favoritism is apparently a thing.” Lucky teased as I waited for the brownies to be done. Just another five minutes but I doubt lucky wouldn’t let me hear the end of it.
“Not favoritism. Plus, I’m making something for both of you right now.” I laughed softly, taking out my phone and not seeing anything from my mom. It’s been almost four hours… Maybe now I should call her? Yeah. I quickly called her, hearing it ring a couple times before she finally picked up sounding tired and out of breath.
“Everything all right sweetie?” She asked, catching her breath.
“Oh um, y-yeah. I was just calling to see if you were okay.” Lucky left the room, mouthing to me that he’ll be right back while pointing to his room and I nodded.
“Oh yes! I’m sorry, Honey. I meant to call earlier but it’s just so busy right now. I’ve been running around the place like a lunatic,” She laughed, “How’s everything going? Are you coming home by nine?”
“It’s going good. Nothing too crazy. Also, they wanted me to stay a while longer for a movie. Is that okay? I should be home around ten.”
“That’s great! Of course you can stay a little while longer. Just make sure to eat something, okay? I’ve got to go, but I love you so much, be safe, love you.” There was a lot of confusion in the background on her side of the call before she hung up.
The timer for the brownies went off as soon as she did. I took them out, letting them cool down before cutting them into even slices. I just hoped they would like them. Or that they didn’t mind that I did this. Would they? That wold not be good if I wasn’t supposed to do that. We’ll find out when I get out of here. I had no idea what they were doing, but I heard Ryker talking to someone. Most likely the girl from before.
“Boo.” I physically jumped, nearly falling over. Lucky snuck behind me, snickering the entire time as he tried his hardest to catch his breath. That was a bit much. I may or may not have overreacted. Probably the latter seeing as I was still visibly trembling. It took me a couple breaths to get back to normal, but it was alright afterward.
Lucky snagged a brownie from the pan before they entirely cooled down, burning his mouth as he bit into it. We were both laughing as I grabbed a cold water to give to him. Just to keep the heat down. I wasn’t a medical expert like my mom on these things.
“So worth it,” Lucky had cheered before taking another bite, “These are amazing. Where’d you learn to bake like this?” He happily took another bite. Did I really have to answer that question? What was I even supposed to say? ‘Oh yeah I learned how to bake from a mental hospital.’ I can’t just say that! I can’t say school either, and my mom doesn’t like baking so if he ever met her…
“A secret.” I nervously laughed. Truth is, they used to teach me how to cook and bake in the mental hospital before I came here. I would just tweak the recipes a bit to make them tastier. Like more brown sugar in cookies to make them taste more sweet. Or add a little of coffee in brownies to make it taste like there’s more chocolate. Just a little things here and there. It keeps me calm instead of being scared like I was right now.
“Angel will love these. So would Ryker if he could eat them. He has a sweet tooth.” Lucky grabbed another one from the pan shrugging his shoulders. Maybe I’ll just give Ryker the recipe then? It seemed like the best option honestly. I didn’t mind if he had it either. As long as I could pay him back for everything he’s done up to this point. I was actually having a great time here. Even if I haven’t been around anyone new besides Angela.
After Angela was done with her bath, Lucky rushed me out the door where it was actually kind of quiet. Maybe because no one besides Ryker and another younger girl were in the living room. Angela went back inside the room to quickly grab something, which was Livvy, before slowly running over to the girl who was sitting down in the middle of the carpet wearing a pair of purple sweatpants and an over-sized shirt. She looked a older than Angela, and of course taller since she was a giant. He hair was a just a little bit wet as we she was playing with little building blocks.
“Isabelleeee. Whatcha building?” Angela ran over, walking around what seemed to be the base of whatever Isabelle was building. I had no idea, but I was terrified. Giants were one thing when they were an adult, but kids had always scared me the most. I still remember being forced to be put in those over-sized clothes while also being thrown around like some rag doll. So yeah, I think I have a pretty valid reason to be terrified and currently hiding behind Lucky.
“What’s wrong?” Lucky had asked, turning around and taking me out of view as I everything in my body threatened to shut down this very moment. Was that what Isabelle would do to me? Make me some kind of doll to play with? A pet. I shuddered, remembering all those times I came back to my parents with black bruises all over my body. Bleeding sometimes.
“You’re… scared of Isabelle?” Lucky had asked, looking at what I was staring at. Isabelle was giggling with Angela as they finished building whatever it was they were making, but those images wouldn’t leave my mind. It won’t happen here, right? They won’t let anything happen?
“Wait. That’s why you ran away that day! You’re scared of giants!” Lucky whisper yelled, trying to get me back to reality. I really did try to calm myself down. Really, really hard. It did end up working, but at a cost. Lucky figured out why I ran. Why I was so terrified to be around giants. Why I couldn’t even talk around them. He wouldn’t tell though, right? He will.
“D-don’t tell th-them. I-I’m trying to get used to it.” I stuttered in as quiet a voice as I could manage. Lucky gave a smile, “I wasn’t planning on it. I kind of figured it out the first time you ran away.”
I wasn’t really expecting that. I thought he was going to go around screaming that I was some kind of scaredy cat. That would be embarrassing I might just drop out of school so I didn’t have to deal with him constantly teasing me. I’m glad it didn’t come to that.
Lucky told me to keep my eyes on the ground as he guided me to wherever we were going. I wasn’t really paying attention, but I’m pretty sure it was towards Ryker. Not that I minded. He was the one I was the most used to anyways. Stick to the plan. Stay with Ryker and Lucky. Nothing bad could go wrong.
“Ry!” Lucky yelled for his attention. Ryker yawned, letting a hand down as Lucky climbed on, helping me up seeing as I was much weaker and short than himself. I was grateful for the help, but also confused at the sudden change. Why was he helping me instead of making fun of me? It seemed so unreal.
“Did you need something?” Ryker asked, yawning again while offering his hand on the arm of the couch. He really looked like he needed some sleep. I stepped off his hand, but Lucky stayed on. Ryker raised an eyebrow while Lucky stuck his tongue out. Was this like some kind of sibling telepathy going on? I don’t know. But obviously Ryker was the one to give in first, letting Lucky onto his shoulder while holding his head up with one of his hands and closing his eyes. How could Lucky do that? I couldn’t be that close. I’d freak out.
“When are we gonna start the movie?” Lucky had asked, making himself comfortable. I was alright with just sitting here. Even if it was an insane height away from the ground. I just have to ignore that part.
“When I feel like it.” Ryker responded, a smirk on his face as Lucky playfully kicked him. Yup. I would not have the courage to do that. Even if I knew that Ryker wouldn’t care. Since he obviously doesn’t. But they were siblings. It’s different. Ryker and I were only friends. At least that’s what I’d like to think we are.
Another person walked into the living room. He was tall with light brown hair like mine, wearing a long-sleeve t-shirt with some grey sweatpants. I was guessing his name was Dylan? I’ve heard his name being thrown around once or twice. I was piecing together who was who. There were a lot of people to memorize. It was weird how he has so many siblings and I had none. No… weird wasn’t the word for it. More like it was… nice? Amazing? I’ll figure it out eventually.
“So we’re just waiting on Jasmine then?” Dylan groaned taking a seat on the other side of the couch, turning on the tv and putting on Bluey, to which the two girls happily grabbed a blanket and snuggled up with each other to watch it. Wow. That was oddly sweet.
“Yeah.” Ryker replied, holding his hand out for Lucky. He happily climbed on as Ryker passed him on to Dylan. They had teased each other for a good while before Dylan had glanced in my direction, flashing a smile. No doubt there that Lucky had told him something. I did a sad little wave before hearing them go back to the teasing. I looked back to Ryker, who just seemed out of it. I had no idea what had happened while I was in that other room, but obviously he’s been tired all day. The weird part is that no one here seemed to really question him. Was he okay? Was I making him do something he didn’t want to do? Was I the problem?
I really hate my overthinking.
A couple minutes later, a girl had walked in wearing a sweater and a tank top with her hair in a wet bun. I was guessing that one was Jasmine. The only name left on the board. Ryker pulled out his phone, checking whatever before standing up and walking over to his room. Leaving me alone with everyone. It’s just for a couple minutes. What could happen? Nothing. Hopefully.
What was only a couple minutes stretched on for what seemed like hours. Jasmine was now sitting on the floor next to Isabelle, watching Bluey with them. Dylan and Lucky were playing a game on their phones. I felt pretty naked at the moment and I couldn’t exactly get down from here without help.
I stood up, looking for a way down and sadly not finding any. I made my way back to where I was, seeing Ryker come back with some money in hand and, as if on cue, a knock on the door. Right. Pizza. I wasn’t all too hungry honestly, but I already know my mom would get really mad at me if she found out I didn’t eat.
Everyone had started moving all at once, making my anxiety grow. Ryker set the boxes on the coffee table in the middle, opening it up and handing out plates for everyone.
“So we’re all fine watching Up, right?” Ryker asked, putting the disc in and standing up. I had instinctively scooted all the way back into the back of the couch. A safe distance from everyone.
Everyone answered Ryker with a yes, while he left one more time. Probably for the popcorn. I was guessing he left with Lucky too since Dylan wasn’t talking or laughing at the moment. So I was really left alone now. I paid more attention to the movie playing, trying to ignore that I was just left alone with people I barely even knew. Please be back soon. I told myself. Just to prevent me from having a panic attack at the moment.
Ryker walked back in the room with a bowl of popcorn, and carrying Lucky in his other hand. He sat back down next to me, flashing a smile before offering a hand. I climbed on, never so happy to be in a giant’s hand before. What? I didn’t know anyone here besides Lucky and Ryker. What would I do if they just wanted to talk to me? I wouldn’t be able to. Then they’d really be questioning me. Then they’d be mad at me…
Ryker set me down on the coffee table where Angela and Lucky both were. I was guessing he wanted me to eat too. Weird. He’s the complete opposite of my captors.
I only ate one slice, but at least it was something. Lucky told me to grab another since I was already extremely skinny, but I didn’t. I was honestly having a pretty nice time. I mean, without having to interact with any of his other siblings was nice, but I’m pretty sure Dylan was going to ask or introduce himself to me soon. Jasmine I didn’t know, and Isabelle was a different story, but if I can manage it without talking, then that’d be great.
I checked my phone for the time, reading nine thirty. We were barely halfway through the movie. I did say ‘around’ though. Plus, my mom doesn’t get home till around midnight. I’d say I still had time. At least that’s what I thought before she had called me.
“Mom?” I whispered, standing up and walking away from Lucky.
“Honey, are you still at your friends house?” She had asked, sounding very, very serious. She’s never sounded like that unless something bad happened. This can’t be good.
“Y-yes. Why?” Ryker glance in my direction, looking from me to the tv and offering a hand and pointed to the hallway. I climbed on, wondering why he was going through all this work for me. But, at the moment, I was more focused on what my mom was freaking out about.
“Okay, honey, this is going to sound crazy, but can you ask your friend if you can stay the night?” The world stopped as she said the words. This was crazy. I wasn’t expecting that. What happened? Why didn’t she want me to go home? Seriously. Ryker open the door to his room, and turned on a dim lamp, setting me down on the desk.
“W-why?” My voice was a little shaky, but otherwise soft and clear. Ryker couldn’t hear what I was saying anyways.
“There’s another riot happening and I don’t want you anywhere near it. So could you please ask to stay the night? I don’t want to see you hurt.” There was a big commotion happening wherever she was at.
I glanced up to Ryker, who had a worried face on, “S-sure, Mom.”
“Thank you. I love you, please be safe.”
She hung up again. Oh. This was bad. Really, really bad. Now I had to stay here? Overnight? Does she realize what she’s going to make me do? This was crazy. Could I even do this? I didn’t know. What happens when they say no? What if they just kick me out? Leave me outside while there’s a crazy mob that wants to practically murder humans? What happens then? What if-
“Everything… okay?” Ryker softly asked me. Physically? Yes. Mentally? No. I couldn’t even talk to him. How would he even reply if I couldn’t even bring it up to him? I’d just have to force myself. Even if I didn’t want to stay here. Even if he says no.
I took a deep breath, preparing myself, “Th-there’s a-a-a riot… a-and my mom d-doesn’t want me t-to go home. Sh-she wants me t-t-t-…” I winced, seeing that his full attention was on me, “T-to stay h-here overnight. I-Is that… O-okay?” I flinched, waiting for some kind of laugh to come out, or some kind of punishment for asking him anything like that. But nothing came.
“Of course? You think I’d say no?” He nervously asked, “Is your mom okay though? You looked kind of worried.” He asked. I nodded, feeling drained from they day.
“That’s good. But, yeah, of course you can stay here. I’ll just tell Lucky to get you a blanket and some things. Sound good?” He smiled softly. I smiled back, my knees nearly giving out on me, “Thank you.”
His palm was laid out flat, but I still had a hard time climbing on without help. That went much better than expected. It’s just that my brain makes everything so much more worse than it needs to be. I’m really grateful that things never go according to my brain. So glad. So, I did the exact opposite of what my mind had been telling me the past two weeks.
I hugged Ryker’s thumb (Or what I could of his thumb), trying to hide the tears that escaped my eyes. Maybe it really was time to give life one more chance.
—————————
And here’s the long awaited chapter!
If you couldn’t already tell by reading, I absolutely love the trope where one partner has a ton of siblings and the other is an only child. Sooo that’s where all of the siblings come in!
We’re almost at the part I can’t wait to write, so trust me when I say there will be more interactions for Nathan and Ryker. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions either! I love answering!
Thanks you for reading! Love you guys ❤️

Breaking News : Local Teen Aaron Smith found dead in his car. Killer still not found
Tears blurred your eyes as you saw the news showing the picture of the guy you went on a date with. How could someone take and innocent life like his?
You covered your ears in order to block out the sound of the news. Aaron was such a sweet boy ,that you pictured a future with him.Your parents adored him.He treated you like a princess and talked about building a life with you.
Before you heard any further of how he was murdered ,your dad turned off the TV and soon felt the arms of your mom engulfing you in a hug.
“oh sweetie ,I am so sorry. He was such a wonderful young man,”she consoled you.
“How about we get some rest?”she whispered and you nodded.
As they finally were able to get you to fall asleep ,they stepped out of the room. Whispering amongst each other of the horror a person could do.Distraught by the news they knew they would go and pay their respects to Aaron’s parents.
~ 2 months later ~
“ So y/n are you going to the party of Jason on Halloween?”your best friend Luna asked
“ I’m not sure that’s a good idea”you replied worried
“ What if the killer appears there?” You added
“Oh come on y/n ,you think that “killer” is going to appear at a party” Luna said playfully
“ I don’t know Luna” you replied unsurely
“Come on y/n ,we’ll stick together throughout the party”she replied with a smile
“Ok”you smiled
~Friday Night
The party was in full swing.Couples were making out ,others drinking till they passed out ,and many people were dancing or rather grinding on each other.Luna was dressed as a sexy cat and you were dressed as a bunny.
Feeling out of place you stayed close to Luna but at the same time didn’t want to feel like a bother so you headed towards the punch bowl. One sip of it and you felt disgusted by the taste. How can anybody love drinking this?
As you were about to turn ,you bumped into someone. You saw him around the basketball team but especially Jason’s inner circle.Patrick .He was dressed as a zombie.
“Woah,watch y-oh hey y/n!”,he smiled
“Hey Patrick!Nice costume!”you smiled back
“Enjoying the party?” he asked, trying to keep conversation.
“Not really”you replied shaking your head and laughing
“How about we go by the pool area? Get away from the chaos?” he offered and you agreed.
As both of you made your way through the many bodies you turned around looking for Luna but accidentally bumped into a person.
“Sor-”but as you were about to apologize a sudden metallic smell hit your nose and you quickly looked up to see who you bumped in to. It was someone wearing a black robe with bone figures decorating it while a skull mask was on full display.
Their robe was covered with red stains that added affect to their costume.Hoping it was paint rather than blood ,you quickly turned away but felt the person watching you. With a quick side glance you could still see the skeleton starring at you.
When you finally went outside ,you saw Patrick sitting by the pool and waving at you to sit by him. Patrick was different from Jason and the other jocks who cared only about basketball and fucking anything that breathed.Talking with Patrick reminded you a bit of Aaron, but you put that thought behind your head.
Patrick made you laugh at any joke he made and made you less shy of being at the party. He talked about the pressure he felt by his friends and the dread of being at home. But he asked mainly about your life and you felt your heart speed up when you saw him focus at what you said. As your conversation felt quieter you both were leaning in to kiss but everything stop all of sudden.
A high pitch scream caught everyone’s attention . “HE’S HERE!” and before you could react many screams were heard when the same person you saw wearing the skeleton costume came out ,covered with more red stains and a bloody knife in hand.Everything broke out in chaos .Many people started running and screaming .You wanted to find Luna and make sure she was alright but as you were standing up to run ,you saw the killer look around as if looking for someone.
They made eye contact with you. Holding eye contact with you he made his way to you like his perfect target. Before you knew Patrick pulled you to the forest behind Jason’s house, where others ran off to. Everyone was pushing each other and caused for both of you to separate. Everything was dark and your only source of light was the moon and stars. You couldn’t help but cry because the only thing you could hear was your steps and sobs. As you walked further you suddenly heard a crunch .
Frozen with fear you turned around quickly, but caught a glimpse of a figure standing a couple feet away from you.He had found you. You ran and ran and could hear the blood rushing through you as you heard running footsteps behind you . As you made turns to throw the killer off you finally made a stop behind a tree. You covered your mouth to hold in your sobs and closed your eyes hoping it was nightmare. A couple minutes went by and you didn’t hear anything, just the crickets .
Coming out of your hiding spot you made you way around the woods and headed towards finding a road. After walking what felt like hours you saw road and it was like and angel answered your prayers when you saw headlights coming around .Sticking out your thumb out they came to a stop.Feeling frantic of the woods you ran to the passenger side and turned to buckle your seat belt.
When you turned around your heart stoped. Before you could scream a cloth covered your mouth and nose. You had got in in his car.As your eyes became droopy you saw their hand reaching to take of their mask but couldn’t clearly see who it was .All you heard was a whisper to your ear.A male voice saying “Gotcha”.
~
As you woke up you couldn’t recognize your surroundings. You were in a dirty room that had clothes hanging around,a guitar ,but what caught your attention was the knives hanging on the wall. Fully gaining conscious now, you dashed around what seemed like a trailer ,to the door but it was locked.
Before you could unlock it ,you were turned around with a knife to your throat and hands pinned above your head. You couldn’t help but tremble as you saw the skeleton mask. “Please don’t hurt me”, you cried as you felt the knife go from your throat to tracing your body.
Putting the knife away ,the person reached out to take their mask off. As they pulled it off you finally saw who it was.You couldn’t help but gasp as you saw Eddie Munson. He held a smirk as he threw the mask on the floor and pulled the knife back out.You were more scared of him since you heard his reputation of being a cult leader but now that you knew he was thekiller , you couldn’t help but feel more frightened.
“Please let me go.I-I-I won’t say anything. Please”,you couldn’t help but let tears fall from your face.
“Why would I let such a cute bunny go?”he taunted. “I finally caught you”he smiled
He got near your lips and accidentally weakened his hold on your wrists ,so without a second thought you kicked him on his stomach.Throwing him on the floor ,you headed towards the bedroom in order to escape through a window ,but it seemed like he was faster.
Before you knew it, a hand went to you hair pulling you back and as you cried out a pain you were pushed to a wall. “What a naughty bunny”he taunted ,clenching his teeth.
“Why are you doing this?”you cried “I didn’t do anything to you !”
“You see bunny, when I laid eyes on you ,I couldn’t keep you away from my mind.It was like I found my soulmate. But it seemed like others were trying to keep you away from me”
With that, it clicked in your mind what he meant. He killed Aaron . This fueled your anger and you started to struggle in his hold trying to him hit.
“How could you?!You killed Aaron?! We were going to be together”and after it left your mouth ,you soon regretted it. You seemed to fuel his anger. You triggered something in him and you were pushed to the bed facing him.
“That asshole had it coming. He was getting in the way of us but let’s be honest love he might have been perfect to marry you but you know he would never have satisfied you.” he replied trying to hold in his anger.
“Lies! He was better than anyone and you could never be him!”
It was like you pushed him to the extreme and next thing you knew he towered over you with the knife in his hand .That shut your mouth real quick. He held the knife to your hip and he whispered to your ear “Come on bunny,I can show you what you really deserve” and with that said ,he traced your body with the knife .
You wanted to fight him but was to afraid to get cut by the knife. Your body couldn’t help but shiver as he began to kiss your neck and suck on it. When he finally found your sweet spot you couldn’t help but bask and hold his forearm. He continued to suck on your neck and you couldn’t help but feel disgusted by your lack of fighting . You were caught by surprise when he put the knife on the nightstand and held your arms above you head.
When you looked up to see him hold your arms down you felt his intense stare on your face.Drawing your eyes back to his dark brown eyes you saw him lean in and kiss you. You wanted to at least put up a fight ,so when you pressed your lips together as he bit your lip as access, you succeed in frustrating him. Before you could call victory ,you felt a hand go under your short silk dress and in your panties where he started to play with your clit.
You gasped out at the sensation and felt his tongue inside your mouth. You couldn’t hold in your moans. He let go of his hold on your arms and you put your hand on his hair and pulled on it.He kept on playing with your clit and you could feel yourself getting wetter as he played with your pussy.
He pulled away to see his masterpiece . He smirked at the way your body was decorated by him, lips swollen, and dress hiked up with a wet patch on your panties. As you were getting up to leave thinking he was done with you ,he stoped you as you you sat up.Before you could timidly ask ,he grabbed your dress by the front and ripped it in the middle.
Eddie got harder at the sight of your shocked face, plus the full display of the silk white lingerie that adorned your body. Leaving you breathless again ,he grabbed the knife from his nightstand ,making you hairs stand up. But he grabbed another thing, rope. Your heartbeat picked up as he tied your hand behind your back and you couldn’t help but get wetter as his breathing hit your neck .He got on his knees and looked at up at you.
“Don’t worry my bunny.I’ll show you that you belong to me”and after he said that ,he cut your panties leaving your pussy on full display. The cold air hit you and caused goosebumps to fill your body. Before you could react ,his tongue started to lick at your folds.Loud moans started to leave your lips as his tongue skillfully licked away at your pussy but after a couple minutes of eating you out ,he pulled away.
Drool fell from your mouth as you felt pleasure of him sucking on your pussy. You thought he was done until you felt his fingers going inside you.He started to go at a fast pace making you see stars.”You like that my bunny?” and you couldn’t help mindlessly nod.
“More please”you moaned out.
He smirked at your words. He got you where he wanted you. He decided to taunt you more by slowing down his pace. Frustrated by the lack of speed ,words slipped out of your mouth. “A-Aaron c-could have done it b-better” you moan out
Oh how dumb were you to say that.He finally let his anger take over and stoped his movements. Standing up ,he bent forward to your eye level and held you in place.
“DONT YOU EVER FUCKING SAY HIS NAME!YOU’RE MINE! YOU UNDERSTAND !MINE!” he yelled at you as he tightly held onto your jaw.
“I’m sor-sorry”,you whimpered .You got scared again as you saw his anger not diminishing as you apologized.
He stood up straight and backed away from while still holding eye contact. You were afraid of what he was thinking of doing, so you did what you thought could help.
You stood up and said, “I’m sorry daddy. Please forgive me” you whimpered while sticking out your lip and glossy tears. To truly calm him down unclipped your bra and let your boobs be on display .
“Can you forgive me daddy”,you whimpered. You felt relieved to see his body relax as he got closer to you .But it seemed like he had other plans.
“You’re going to pay for this”he said.Without another second by, he turned you and pushed your body into doggy style. “If you can’t understand your mine ,I’ll show you”Hearing rustling behind you ,you turned around and saw him take his costume off and started to take of his pants and boxers.Your mouth went dry when you saw his hard length slap his stomach.
You quickly turned around ,as your breath seemed to quicken .Before you could ask if he was going to fit ,you felt hand on your hips and he pushed his cock into you. You both let out moans .He finally was able to stretch you out and have you around his cock.
Not letting you adjust he started to pound at your pussy. Each pounding cause you to lose strength on your arms and make you back arch even more .He was abusing your hole while he slapped your ass. “That’s right my slut,I own you” and continued to fuck you harder.
Your moans kept on getting louder as he abused your pussy. The relentless pounding left you seeing stars and made you forget of what he did . He was fucking you dumb and you let him fuck you even more. Turning you to lay on your side,he put one leg on his shoulder and started to pound you again.
“Am I fucking you dumb my slutty bunny?” he taunted as he finally saw your fucked out look. The new change of position made him go deeper and cause to you to let your tongue out .You have never felt such pleasure from others and could care less of them now.
Eddie was making sure your pussy adjusted to his and only his cock. Not Aaron .Not Patrick.HIM.
“Please daddy,go faster”you moaned out and he granted your wish.”yes, yes, yes” you chanted as his cock kept going in and out. After a while you let out the loudest moan and squirted around his cock while he came inside of you.
Having his cum fill you made you cum again. Finally catching your breath you looked at him and saw him looking back at you.His next words scared you but turned you on again.
“Don’t think we’re finished sweetheart.Your going to suck my cock now and your going to swallow each drop” he said
Aching a bit as you moved ,you got on your knees and looked at his still hard cock.Putting your mouth on his tip he moaned out a bit.You had never sucked such a big cock before, so it barely fit in your mouth. “Don’t use teeth” he warned you as you looked up at him.
He became frustrated at you taking a little bit of him in your mouth. So he grabbed your hair and pushed your mouth further into his cock. You chocked at his cock sliding further into your throat.Tears fell from your eyes as you kept sucking while he didn’t give a fuck.Instead he began to fuck your mouth like he did to your pussy. Getting used to the feeling of his cock in your mouth, caused your eyes to roll back and moan around his cock.Your pussy was dripping again .You wanted him to fuck you into oblivion again ,and he noticed.
“Don’t worry my slut ,I’ll fuck you again.Only if you say you are mine”
You couldn’t give a fuck anymore and only had his cock in your mind, so you nodded.”That’s right darling .You are ONLY mine” he smirked.Your pussy was going to be ruined.

"Jaune Gets A Gun AU - Day 2" WarHammer 40K - Bolter/Laspistol
Inspired by @howlingday's RU-JA-GUN-CON
Pyrrha was not happy as she followed behind Jaune, who was following behind Tiny Tina and Ruby. The pair of firearms aficionados (IE Gun Freaks) seem to have found common ground. The pair laughed and joked, remarking about weapons and military forces they had read about in their "Special" magazines.
Pyrrha: (Thinking) Ruby, you traitor! She's the enemy.
Pyrrha tried to refocus, to put her energy into finding a way to open herself up to Jaune. To take that next step. So lost in her own thoughts, she never noticed that Jaune had stopped walking. His eyes being drawn to a strangely placed display...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pyrrha's face was crimson from embarrassment, and the fact that she was now nose to chest with her crush. His scent doing odd things to her...
Jaune: (Groaning) You okay, Pyr?
Pyrrha: (Sputtering) I'm sorry! I wasn't...
Ruby/Tiny Tina: Jaune! Are you okay?
Pyrrha: (Thinking) Oh so that's how it is!
Jaune: We're fine. I tripped up Pyr while I was distracted by... hey, where did that display go?
Tiny Tina: What display, J-Baby?
Jaune: The stack of Pumpkin Pete's Marshmallow Flakes and Marshmallow Crunch? There was even the "Make Your Own Pumpkin Pete Mask" Halloween special box!
Ruby: Jaune?
Jaune: I'm serious! There was a whole display here featuring Pyrrha!
Tiny Tina: Say what now? Her face is on cereal boxes?
Pyrrha: (Ashamed) Yes, I'm sponsored by Pumpkin Pete... after my third Championship, they started putting my face on the boxes.
Tiny Tina: I see... so would you say you're like famous or something?
Pyrrha: You could say that...
????: Little Brother Jaune, are you alright?
Tumblr media
Pyrrha/Tiny Tina/Ruby: Little Brother?
Ruby: (gasping) You said you only had sisters!
Tiny Tina: I KNOW you only have sisters! Who's the geriatric?
Jaune: (Totally ignoring everyone) Esteemed Brother Julius?
Julius: Aye. Good to see you again, little one. But I ask again, are you unharmed?
Jaune: Just a simple accident. No worries. We're perfectly fine.
Julius: Good. Now, what type of gentleman does not introduce his companions?
Jaune: Right! Introductions. Esteemed Brother Julius, these are my friends. Ruby Rose, Pyrrha Nikos, and Tiny Tina. Pyrrha and Ruby attend Beacon Academy with me. Tina is a childhood friend.
Julius: I greet you. May the God Emperor's blessings fall upon your shoulders, and his grace guide you in your journey through this life.
Tiny Tina/Ruby/Pyrrha: God, what now?
Julius: (Turning his entire attention to Jaune) So why do I find you amidst this chaos?
Jaune: My friends are helping me try and find a ranged option.
Julius: I see.
Jaune: Are you here alone? I only asked because last time you visited you had...
Heavy metallic sounds emanated from behind the small group. As one, they all turned...
Tumblr media
Jaune: Venerable Grand Uncle Bob!
Ruby/Pyrrha: Say what now?
Tiny Tina: When did you get an Uncle J-Baby?
Uncle Bob: (Booming Voice) Little Brother Jaune, it has been a long time.
Jaune: At least ten years! How are you holding up?
Uncle Bob: I grow weary, but the enemies of the Imperium do not sleep, so neither shall I.
Ruby/Pyrrha: (Whispering to Tiny Tina) How did you NOT know he had an Uncle, especially one that looks like that?
Tiny Tina: (Whispering) I wasn't with him 24-7... though sharing his bed during sleep-overs was extra groovy...
Pyrrha/Ruby: What?
Tiny Tina: Plus my parents took me out on trips... a lot... so yeah I only know about his main family, yep like just them... no one else, nope, no one else.
Julius: So you are looking for a ranged option, I believe that is what you mentioned.
Jaune: Yeah. I'm mainly a melee combatant, but not all grimm come in close, so I need something...
Uncle Bob: To share the Emperor's Light to the heathens.
Pyrrha, Tiny Tina and Ruby just stayed out of the conversation, still trying to process everything they just found out, about their shared crush and love interest.
Jaune: You could say that. So why are you guys here? Every time Mom invited you to a family outing, you've been busy...
Julius: That is of no matter, Little Brother. What is your stated lack of a firearm. That will be rectified post-haste.
Jaune: Do you have suggestions on what I type of gun I should look for?
Uncle Bob: Little Brother Julius, it is time. He is of age.
Julius: Yes, as you wish, Venerable one.
Pyrrha/Ruby/Tiny Tina: What's going on?
Julius reaches behind his back and withdraws two items. Opening his massive gauntlet covered hands, he presents them to Jaune.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jaune: No, this is TOO much. I can't.
Julius: Of course you can. This Bolter belonged to Venerable Grand Uncle Bob before his encasement ceremony. As did this, Laspistol. They are, by blood, rightfully yours.
Jaune: I understand that, and I'm so in awe that you guys would do this for me... but what you're forgetting is... MOM.
Julius: Oh, yeah... that.
Uncle Bob: I said I was sorry.
Jaune: Grand Uncle Bob... you crushed Mom's entire Ceramic Cat collection. The one she had been building since she was like five years old.
Uncle Bob: (Sounding Depressed) I said I was sorry, I still am. I just don't know how to make it up to her.
Julius: Little Brother Jaune... do you have any ideas?
Jaune: Helping her replace them wou...
Uncle Bob: A Gyrinx! No, a pride of them! She'll have to forgive me then!
Jaune: Brother Julius, what is Grand Uncle Bob talking about?
Julius: He's going to try and get your mother a xeno pet cat that will boost her psychic abilities, or by the sounds of it... several.
Pyrrha/Tiny Tina/Ruby: Say what now?
Jaune: That might work.
Julius: If we succeed, we will return, and if the God Emperor is benevolent we will have your mother's blessing, and you can receive your Grand uncle's weapons as he wishes.
Jaune: I'll be waiting.
The quartet watched Julius and Grand Uncle, Bob, move off. The milling crowd parting before them like water off the bow of a ship.
Ruby: Was that a Bolter combat rifle...
Tiny Tina: And a Laspistol?
Pyrrha: Grand Uncle?
Jaune: Yes those were a Bolter and a Laspistol, and yes Grand Uncle.
Pyrrha: is that anything like a Great Uncle?
Jaune: Sort of.
Pyrrha: How, sort of?
Jaune: About five generations, give or take.
Pyrrha: Excuse me?
Jaune: So, where to next, guys?
Tiny Tina/Ruby: (Almost in tears) He could have had a Bolter and a Laspistol... but mama Arc says no....
Pyrrha: Jaune, about this Grand Uncle...
Jaune: Guys where to next?
????/????: Hey kids. Over here! We know you wanna!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(So there's the Warhammer 40K addition. I know it's not exactly what was asked, for... but it is what flowed through my mind as I started to write it. Hope that doesn't upset anyone. Hope you enjoyed.)
Almost Forgot!
korben600 asked:
Consider for “Jaune Gets a Gun”, an old Astartes who landed on remnant tries to sell him a bolter.
Jaune settles for a laspistol since that is MUCH more his style.
Thank You for the suggestion/idea. @korben600

—----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The villages of the Kingdom of Wonderland stayed in fear, they knew that once every three months, the fierce pirate king would come and take away people to join his squad.
If you refused to go, it’s simple, you died.
It was everyone above the age of 21, the pirate king showed no discrimination, he took whoever he saw fit. And sometimes if they refused, he would either kill them right there in front of their family, or wait till they left the pier and toss them overboard.
He would take husbands and wives, sons and daughters. He did not care if you had a fiance, or you were about to be married, he was taking you with him. You would watch as many families cried as their families were stripped away from them, taken away to never be seen again.
Your family was waiting for the day you were taken away.
You lived with your mother, father, older brother and sister, making you the youngest of the family. Your parents tried on several occasions to wed you off to another family, claiming that would make you worth more. They despised the fact that you preferred to be out doing work with your other friends then learn how to be a mother and cook and other things that your parents try to force on you.
They call you the black sheep, the extra child, the one they couldn’t kill. Plenty of other hurtful names.
But you? You were actually hoping that you’d get taken away by the scary king of the seas. You heard rumors from other sailors that he showers the women he takes with riches and love, treating them like they’re precious metal, a position any woman would die to get in. But now, instead they were told the cruel stories of him killing people, slaughtering innocent families.
“(Y/N)!! Get ready to board up the house!!”
You sighed as you headed out the front door and down the road, the local shop sells wood for the families to prepare for when the male comes.
Your family always sent you out late, hoping you would get taken.
Today their dreams would come true but not in the way they wanted.
“THE PIRATE KING HAS ARRIVED!! RUN AND HIDE!!”
All you heard was screaming and chaos that usually happened, you moved at your  normal pace, the wood in your arms as you headed back home.
But something told you to turn around, and you don’t know what it was but it was enough to make you drop the wood. Your eyes scanned the area before landing on a male coming onto the pier from a large and beautiful vessel. He had half and half hair, one side black and the other side blonde with pretty brown eyes. He only wore a button down shirt with the top three buttons undone, slacks and boots, everything adorned with gold and other accessories.
You were stunned, this couldn’t possibly be the King of the seas, you were expecting someone more on the rough and tumble side, someone ugly and disheveled.
The Pirate King’s eyes met yours, a smirk coming on to his face. Your eyes got wide and a blush came across your face as you saw him beckon you, the simple curl of his finger brought you to him.
You didn’t even listen to the people around you in the village, trying to stop you. Hell you couldn’t stop, it was like you were in a trance, being drawn to the mysterious male.
You finally stopped when you finally got in front of him, he walked up to you and placed his hand under your chin, lifting it so you could look him in the eyes.
“A pretty little thing like you willingly walking up to me? Didn’t your parents warn you about the bad guys like me?” His voice was like butter, smooth and clear. “Yea, but they don’t care about me. They were hoping that you would come and get me.” You said and this made him tilt his head in confusion.
“You look confused, Yea many families don’t care about their daughters, they only want to marry them away. I didn’t want it, so they treat me like shit.” He stood confused,  This was new for the feared pirate captain, a young woman, willing to go with him and his crew, just to escape the family life she was living. He couldn’t believe it.
But when he looked into this girl's eyes, he couldn’t find any source of lying. No joking, nothing, just seriousness and hurt.
How could a family treat their daughter like this?
He decided he was going to do something.
“Hongjoong”
“Huh?...”
“Call me Hongjoong. Take me to your home. Now.”
You nodded and took his hand, guiding him to your home. Hongjoong walked alongside you, looking around the area. The dirty looks the people were giving you just because you were holding his hand was awful. He could see why you would just throw yourself at him. He would do the same thing if this was his home life.
When you reached home, you opened the door only to be grabbed by your hair and thrown to the ground. You look up and see your mother with a belt, beginning to strike you.
“You stupid whore! You were told to come straight home after getting the wood! Can’t you do anything right!?” You braced yourself for the hit she was gonna give you, you didn’t feel anything at all, you looked up to see Hongjoong holding the belt. He snatched it from your mother and shoved her to the ground before helping you up.
Your mother was about to say something until she realized who she was talking to. She backed up as Hongjoong took you into his arms, “Seonghwa.” You looked and saw another male appear behind Hongjoong. He was just as handsome as Hongjoong, hair slicked back with a matching suit to his leader. Seonghwa walked around him and jerked your mother up off the ground.
“Tell the others to come in and round up everyone in this house. I want them on their knees.”
You stood by his side, eyes wide open as his arm snaked around your waist, he kept a firm grip on you as you saw several other males walk through your house. They all were dressed in the same attire with various little different things to establish their position or roles (or that’s what you assumed it was for.)
Soon they had your father and siblings, all of them tied up and thrown to the ground beside your mother. Hongjoong smirks and looks down at them. “Well, Well, Well…you look so pitiful down there. How does it feel to be your daughter?” He started, before pulling out a gun, twirling it in his hands.
Your father looked with wide eyes before looking at you. “Wait, you want her? You’re taking the burden off my hands??” Your father says and you only rolled your eyes at his arrogance. Only he would still act high and mighty when he’s still face to face with danger. Hongjoong chuckles before aiming the gun and firing, shooting your father square in between the eyes.
You felt the blood splatter slightly against your face, you just stared blankly at your fathers dead body on the ground. One part of you was afraid, scared at the man who just shot your father in front of your family. The other part was relieved, you were free from this man who treated you like shit. And you finally felt as if you had a sense of concern.
Hongjoong chuckled before placing the gun in your hands, wrapping one of his hands around it to guide you point it at your mother. “Isn’t this the woman you said treated you so wrong?..” He whispered into your ear, a devilish smirk on your face. “Who filled you with lies about me, when I can offer a better life…who hides you away from the world. Tell you that you’re nothing.”
“Stop with your silver tongue!! You’re lying to my daughter, theres nothing you can offer her than I can not give her!” Your mother yelled and Hongjoong looked at her with a raised eyebrow. Hongjoong sighed before moving away from you, leaving you with the gun aimed at your mother. “Well, I’ll let her decide..you can decide..right (Y/n)~?”
Your hands trembled as you looked down at your mother and siblings. You think back on all the pain and suffering that you were caused because of them. The names, the beatings, being made fun of because you didn’t want to be tied down and forced into a life that you didn’t want.
“Y-y/n please…i’m so sorry! I promise i’ll be a better mother, i was just doing what your father asked of me!”
“No! Mother is lying! It was all her idea! She’s just trying to save her own ass!!”
“She’s too stupid to use a  gun, you’ll be fi-”
A bang was heard and your brother slumped to the floor, bullet through his head just like your dad. But this time, it was your own hand that did it. No help from Hongjoong at all.
The captain behind you smirks and places a hand on your shoulder, “Now come on, my little treasure. We don’t need these type of people.” You give a blank stare to her before turning to leave with him, he chuckles and leans down to you.
“You’re making the right decision darling..”
Hongjoong then moves to look at Seonghwa and San, one of his members of the crew, who delt with most of combat and other things regarding violence.
“San..You brought gunpowder right?..”
“Yea, why?”
Hongjoong leads you out with Seonghwa before mouthing the words.
“Burn it down.”
"Wait are you serious?"
Hongjoong looks at you before looking back to San.
"Burn this motherfucker down. I wanna see the flames from my ship. let that be a message if there's any survivors."

Uuufffff Trippy you got some good shit---
I'mma have to go with the Wars one. I'm trying to come up with new shit... ugh.
So anyway, enjoy! (Sorry this was so short! Lost passion for writing halfway through the week :L)
Rumors (Warriors x Reader)
"Ugh, did you see that lady's outfit? Stripes and polka dots do not go together."
"I know, sweetheart, I know. Her man didn't look much better, with the red beard? Dude looks like a tall-ass leprechaun."
For once, it was a quiet day. Time had given everyone the day off since you'd all made it to a particularly nice town; so, he allowed everyone to break off into groups. Knowing you and your boyfriend Warriors didn't get to spend much alone time together, Time was nice enough to let you go off by yourselves when he paired everyone up.
Which brought you to now. You, in your love of sweets, had dragged Warriors to a little cafe not far from the inn the chain was staying at for the next night or two.
There, you both decided to engage in some... lighthearted chitchat, as you'd put it.
Your blonde boyfriend snorts. "Hey, did you see what Wind did to the Vet yesterday?"
"Uh, no? Tell me." You grin, making him do the same in return as he leans closer.
"He stole Time's wedding ring because he thought it was pretty, right?"
You gasp. "What?! Does he not know how important that is?"
"'Course not, he's a kid," he laughs. "But anyway, he snatched it, and when Time got mad and asked where it was, he blamed the Vet."
You laugh. "Because of his ring collection, right?"
Wars nods enthusiastically, taking a sip of his coffee.
"And the old man swallowed it hook, line, and sinker. That's why he's been awful quiet this morning. Wind's been pretty silent too, you know. Trying not to get himself caught."
You almost choke on your latte.
"Time bought it?! No! Poor Vet!" you laugh.
"He absolutely bought it-- Aw shit," he suddenly grumbles. When you follow his gaze, you see what he means: Time and Wind have entered the cafe, Time's gaze landing on the two of you almost instantly as he smiles. He waves the Sailor over, who still looks inherently guilty.
"Mind if we crash the party?" Time smiles. "I'm conducting a bit of an investigation here."
You and Wars glance at each other, before looking back to him.
"Uh, yeah sure," You nod, each of you scooting over. You'd been seated in a booth facing each other; Time sits next to you while Wind takes the seat next to Wars on the other side. The old man sighs.
"I want you two to tell me everything you know about my ring. I can't find it anywhere and the Vet is adamant he doesn't have it."
Both you and Wars simultaneously point to Wind, who lets out a a small "Hey?!"
Time snorts. "Oh, I already know it was him. I just want to know if you two knew where he put my ring, because he's not telling me."
You and your boyfriend shoot each other knowing glances. If Wind wasn't giving it to him, then that means...
"...Wind." you sigh, and Wars snorts.
"Oh goddesses, not the mom voice. You're in trouble now, kid."
Wind's eyes widen. "Oh come on, you too?! That's not fair!"
"It's also not fair that you stole Time's wedding ring and haven't given it back yet," You huff, clearing your throat.
The sailor still doesn't answer you, looking down at the table.
"...Wind. Did you lose it?"
Time looks at you, his right eye opening in surprise. He hopes that isn't the case, but...
The sailor nods solemnly. "I was going to give it back, and I dropped it in the creek... I looked for it for hours, but I couldn't find it."
Time sighs.
"Well, if nothing else, I hope this will teach you not to steal things from others. That ring was important, Sailor." His voice remains calm, but even Wind himself can tell he's angry.
"I-I'm sorry..."
Time sighs once again, standing up. "It's alright, Sailor. Let's be going, we'll leave these two alone for a while, okay?"
Wind nods, standing with him, and Time turns back to the two of you. "Thank you, you two. Meet back at the inn by sundown."
You and Wars nod as the pair walk out. Once they leave, your boyfriend is staring at you with a smirk, his head propped up in his palm as he stares you down.
"What?" you question.
He only chuckles.
"...You're gonna be a great mom someday."
You sigh, cheeks burning bright red as he continues to laugh; but you can't get the fact that he added someday at the end.
You also don't miss the flush of red on his own face.
Someday indeed.

Just Business Dealings
The setting sun cast a blazing glow over the city of Bauldur’s Gate, and as he made his way to the docks, he listened in on the inane chatter of the sheep around him. There was a married couple up on a balcony fighting over the husband’s drinking problem. Around the corner were a pair of children fretting about receiving a scolding from their parents for coming home so late. Down a dark and decrepit alley, a man was being mugged, pleading that his assailant take only his money and not his life. The sheep were in chaos, a chaos only his guiding hand would be able to set straight to order, once he claimed his rightful place above them.
But it wasn’t yet time. All the pieces were still in motion, and not yet in place.
There was still more work to be done before everything could be right in the world.
It was why he was going down to the docks. The foundry was running low on materials, and his supplier that had been late in bringing more was sighted earlier in the harbour. It was unlike her to be behind schedule, especially not to have sent word ahead.
Vinari detested being late.
He knew for certain The Blood Raven had arrived as soon as he reached the outskirts of the harbor. The fishermen bringing in their hauls of the day were chittering like frightened rats at the sight of the Voidborne’s crew as they quickly and efficiently worked to unload their cargo from the ship’s hold.
The Blood Raven was a schooner, relatively small and lightweight, and having seen the original blue prints that lead to its construction, Gortash knew full well that while it could only weather so many direct hits, it was built for speed and maneuvorability. He’d only been onboard the ship a few times when it was in a skirmish, but Vinari made an artform out of weaving in and out of larger ships, and usually ramming right into them, hitting them hard and fast.
The schooner’s ram was made of Tenebrium, a lightweight but sturdy material unlike any that he’d ever seen before. According to Vinari, it was one of the rarest resources the Void had to offer, and the amount it took to forge the ram for her ship cost more than all the other materials put together. He’d only ever been graced with the opportunity to examine a chunk of the material once, and he was still uncertain as to what it was, as it didn’t seem like any metal or ore that he’d ever used before, and when he asked what it was, what it really was, Vinari just grinned.
Now, in the dying light of the sun, the Blood Raven’s glossy black deck seemed to be covered in blood, but as Gortash stepped past the skeletal pirates carrying crates down, he was careless as to whether it covered his boots. In his approach, he’d noticed scorch marks on the hull, and as another set of undead worked the sails up, he could see that they’d been damaged as well.
Humming to himself as he made note of this, his attention was swiftly redirected to the captain of the ship herself as her voice as she barked orders to the crew hit his ears. Without hesitation, he made his way towards the helm of the ship, and he had no doubt she’d spotted him too.
He was halfway up the steps to the helm when she came down to meet him.
“Well well, I find myself flattered. The mighty lord missed me so that he trudged through the muck and the dirt of the lower city to come see me aboard my ship?” Vinari asked coyly, her wicked little grin showing the tips of her sharper than human canines. Her glowing crimson eyes narrowed ever so slightly. “Or perhaps its my cargo you’re so eager to see. Hmph, most likely but such does not make me feel so good, so I think I will pretend such is not the case.”
Gortash didn’t bother resisting the urge to roll his eyes at the words, even as a loose smile tugged at his lips. “You’re late, Vinari. Considerably so, I might add. You’ll have to forgive me for being concerned.”
Vinari stepped past him, and with a gesture for him to follow, lead the way into her captain’s cabin. Once the door was securely shut behind him, Vinari procured two glasses and two bottles from a cabinet in the corner of the room.
As she uncorked the two bottles and poured them drinks, she spoke.
“The illithid empire has caught on. I suppose it is not shocking, considering the last five years I have been plundering their ships and settlements for you, but they’ve started taking countermeasures to deal with us. Their ships have started traveling in pairs, and some settlements have begun putting up barriers.” Vinari handed him his glass before taking her own and sitting back in the chair at the head of the desk in the room. Red velvet upholstery. Fancy.
Gortash likewise took a seat in one of the chairs across from her.
“If they’re putting up barriers to keep your ship out, then how were you able to get the cargo?” He questioned, taking a sip of the drink she gave him.
“By allowing myself to get captured and brought inside the settlement.” Vinari answered dryly before taking a long drink of the alcohol and setting the glass down. “Freeing myself once I’m inside, slaughtering all the mindflayers, and then finding the controls to the barrier to deactivate it. It’s risky, but it’s been working so far. Better than trying to attack through the barriers has been at least.”
Gortash raked a critical eye across the Voidborne from behind his glass. Her blood red hair had been chopped short again since the last time he saw her, hanging shaggily down to her chin, and it might just be the dim lighting in the cabin, but it looked more dull than usual, and that was to say nothing of the pair of jagged, crimson horns jutting back from her forehead, usually polished to shine, but not today. It was hard to tell if the shadows under her eyes were worse or not as the veins in her face by her eyes were already black and her naturally pallid grey skin, like a drow’s, hid them quite well. But from the sag in her shoulders and her expression as she regarded him in silence told him enough.
Vinari was tired.
“I don’t like that.” He stated finally. “Don’t do it again.”
Vinari blinked slowly before raising an eyebrow. “Don’t do it again? If you want your wiring, Enver, then I don’t have much of a choice. I can either do what I must to bypass the barrier, or go deeper into the Astral Sea to find other colonies that are less prepared, and if I do the latter, that means a longer trip and more time it takes to get back to Bauldur’s Gate.” She shook her head slowly before taking back another drink.
Gortash hummed softly, tapping his finger against the glass in his hand, the metal clink of his claw ringing with each strike of the glass. “How much more time would you need?”
Vinari tilted her head, brow furrowing. “I don’t-”
“How. Much. Time. Vinari?”
Vinari inhaled deeply, closing her eyes before letting out a sigh. “A couple weeks, maybe another month? I’d have to take a look at my maps and talk to Drakath to know how long for sure.”
Gortash mulled over her words. Vinari operated on a rotating schedule every three months to keep him in good supply of Infernal iron, illithid wiring, and Void oil. Every three months, she’d raid the githyanki, the mindflayers, or see her suppliers in the Void, and then the next three months she’d focus on one of the other two materials. The last three months of the year, she spent in Corvexus, working with the Drakengard. The schedule was perfectly balanced as it should be. He disliked the notion of throwing that balance off kilter.
“What about the Githyanki? Have they not caught on to your pilfering as of yet?” He questioned, rotating the pieces of the puzzle in his mind.
If I can cut short the amount of time she spends in the Void and Corvexus, then she should have plenty of time to deal with the Githyanki and the Illithid Empire. Hm, but I don’t doubt she’ll dislike the notion of shortening her amount of free time. But lowering the amount of cargo she brings me isn’t an option either.
Vinari shook her head. “The Githyanki ships carry more cargo so I don’t need to take as many of them to meet my quota. I’m sure they are aware of someone plundering their ships, but I’m not the only pirate on the Astral Sea. They probably have yet to pick my ship out of all the others.” She explained, watching him through bloody half lidded eyes. “As for the mindflayers, it’s generally their ships attacking pirates, not the other way around.”
Gortash nodded thoughtfully as he took in the information. “Your trips to the Void are the easiest, are they not? You primarily spend your time there restocking your own supplies as well as handling any repairs to your ship, correct?”
“More or less, that’s right. It’s not a long trip from Bauldur’s gate to the Void. If I push it, I can get there and back within a month, though if my ship needs repairs, then I’ll take the whole three months.”
He smiled to himself. “Then I believe we have our solution. Take the extra month, or even two away from your trips to the Void, and use them to deal with the illithids more safely.”
A crooked little grin crossed the Voidborne’s lips.
“Aw, you really do care about me, Enver. Who knew Bane’s Black Hand actually had a heart?” The little laugh that slipped out of her was nothing short of wicked and insidious.
Gortash let out his own chuckle, finished the drink she gave him, and set the glass down before rising to his feet.
“It would be a shame if you were turned into a mindflayer, Vinari. I dare say it would greatly inconvenience me, not to mention that, yes, I am fond of you.” He told her, letting his voice soften as he gazed into her eyes. He offered her a gentle smile. “If something were to happen to you, I don’t know what I would do.”
After all, finding a pirate willing to target both Gith and Illithid ships was hard enough, much less one who has a trading license in the Void. I can’t imagine I’d be able to find a second one if something were to happen to you.
Though he knew she was highly skilled, not just in seafaring but also in infiltration and combat, he didn’t like hearing the risky measures she’d undertaken to ensure she had what he needed. He couldn’t admit this to her, but he’d been filled with dread ever since she missed the day she was supposed to arrive back in Bauldur’s Gate.
The words came out more genuine than even he expected when he next spoke.
“Be more careful, Vinari. I can’t afford to lose you.”
Vinari’s eyes widened ever so slightly before returning to their halflidded state. She let out a quiet ‘heh’ at the words before shaking her head.
“Can’t afford to pay three other people to do all the work I do, you mean. It’s ok, you can say what you really think, Enver.”
Gortash snorted softly before shaking his head. “Oh really? Well, what I think is that some time off this ship would do you some good.”
“What? But I love my ship!” Vinari gasped in mock horror, covering her mouth with her hand, though Gortash could still see the glint of her fangs through her fingers. “I wouldn’t dream of leaving it for no reason.”
“Well the reason is that your employer thinks you deserve a nice, hot meal and to sleep on solid ground for once.” Gortash shot back with a dazzling attempt at a charming smile. “In fact, I insist upon it.”
Vinari raised an eyebrow and moved her hand from her mouth to rest her head upon it instead. “Insisting, eh?” She grinned, flashing her fangs that seemed to gleam in the dim lighting of her cabin. “I have half the mind to deny you outright because of that.”
“Don’t tease, Vinari.” He huffed, crossing his arms. “Its either yes or no.”
“Oh is the mighty Enver Gortash pouting? How adorable.” Vinari giggled deviously before slowly rising to her feet. “Well, I might be quite the ruthless assassin but even I can’t tell such a handsome face no.” She came around her desk and ever so lightly laid her hand on his shoulder. “In that case, why don’t you lead the way? Just so your precious little underlings know I’m not traipsing around your fortress uninvited. I’d hate to have to kill them.”
Gortash chuckled softly before leading the way out of her cabin and off of her ship. “This is why you’re my second favorite assassin, Vinari.”
Vinari scoffed, and had all the air of being suddenly incredibly offended. “Second favorite?”
Gortash grinned. “If it makes you feel better, you’re my favorite pirate.”
Vinari pouted. “That only makes me feel a little better.”
“Well how about this? You’re my favorite Voidborne.”
“I’m probably the only Voidborne you know!”
Gortash laughed cheerfully as he looped his arm around her waist, and knocked his head against hers gently, being mindful of her horns.
Without further teasing, he lead her home.

Imagine that scene from Lilo and Stitch 2 where Stitch had a nightmare about being evil and attacking his home including Lilo but with Sonic being possessed by the Master Emerald and attacking his family and Green Hills and that being a nightmare too. (dark sonic potential maybe)
If something like that shows up in Sonic 3 I will gonna go NUTS because in the second film, Robotnik used the Emerald for his evil intentions (DUH) and after Super Sonic (Who was powered by the Chaos Emeralds) defeats Robotnik, Knuckles wouldn't let Tom, Maddie and Tails to go near him, believing that the power of the Emerald had taken over him for good, and that the Sonic they knew and love was gone. ...Until Sonic straight up summoned a chili dog and ate it. (I lost my mind when that happened at the theater that whole scene gave me Fleetway vibes)
The Master Emerald's power could be in use for either good or evil depending on who has their hands on it, but even so, the Emerald is super freaking powerful, almost God like. No one knew, not even Knuckles probably, if the Emerald is even safe to use at all, no matter who you are. The Chaos Emeralds, at least in the Movie Verse, fused together and became the Master Emerald. I think that the Chaos Emeralds' power is just a fraction of what the Master Emerald's power can do, since it was just scene of those things mixed into one. (Again, this is the Movie version of how the Emeralds work, at least in my theory)
Sonic went Super RIGHT before him and his parents were about to be crushed. Recalling Longclaw's words, she mentioned that the Master Emerald, and with that, including the Chaos Emeralds, has the ability to turn thoughts into reality. Sonic, in his mind, knew that he did his best to save himself, his family, and his home. It was gonna be all over, but he wasn't scared anymore. He wasn't alone. Tom and Maddie were there with him. They stuck together til the very end.
His thoughts only focused on how far him and his family came, it no longer focused on the fact that he was going to be defeated. None of that matters. His family matters the most. In his thoughts, he was thankful, emotional, relieved, loved. His last words would've been him loving Tom and Maddie. Those words is all he can think of. It was the only thing he can think of. He shut his eyes tight, reliving his favorite moments with them in his head one last time before his doom.
And then the Chaos Emeralds light up and fused into him.
And at that exact moment, Super Sonic stop the metallic foot from reaching the ground and saved not only himself, but his mom and dad, and pretty much the entire world.
Despite everything that happened, his thoughts remained positive because of his love for his family. The Emeralds were powered up by those positive thoughts. Thus, Sonic was able to take full control of their power and use it to save the world.
If it was the Master Emerald, he possibly would've been a lot more powerful. And if his thoughts remained unchanged, it could've gone so much worse.
Robotnik has a lot of bad thoughts, according to Sonic, and he was absolutely right. He wanted to dominate the world and enhance it with his machinery, and spending all that time in the Mushroom Planet he was more twisted in the head than he used to be. That obviously translate to negative energy for the Master/Chaos Emeralds.
He was still his good ol' self but with the Emerald's power, he was a lot more chaotic. And Super Sonic was still himself as well, obviously, but during the first few minutes of being Super, or powered by Chaos Emeralds, he was a little serious and more focused on knocking the lights out of Robotnik's Death Egg Robot, and Robotnik himself.
Sonic was pretty pissed, but remained cool enough to stay Super and stay as his cool and cute silly self.
Now with that in mind... What will happened if Sonic had negative thoughts and used the power of the Emeralds or the Master Emerald?
Let's say someone is seriously hurt (Let's say Tom), and while Sonic is holding the Emerald, or the Emerald is near him, his mind was stuck with the feeling of fear, worry, disbelief, anger, resentment.
Sonic would transform into a being containing those emotions, and threaten to hunt down anybody who dares to hurt his father. Meanwhile with Knuckles, who is trying to stop him for doing that, was in shock from Sonic breaking their promise to use the Emerald's power for the better.
Sonic did able to snap out of it when Tom, who was okay, called out to him, begging him to stop. And at that moment, he turn to see Tom standing back up on his feet, with help and support from Maddie, and he was beginning to power down, now feeling relieved, tired, and calm. But still with a hint of rage, but it left him the moment he burst into tears and ran up to Tom, hugging him tightly.
Then his Dark form will disappear, as the Master Emerald's power left his body, since he was no longer blinded by rage, but now scared and relieve to see his father alright.
But Knuckles was still upset from what had happened. He knew that Sonic never meant to use the negative powers from the Emerald, considering how worried and angry he was, but he still needed some time to adjust what happened and fully forgive Sonic for failing to keep it's powers safe. He should've known that not all promises were meant to be broken.
But maybe before all of that mess happens, Sonic may get strange and vivid dreams about him randomly attacking Green Hills and his family, probably almost twice a month or something, and when he wakes up he'll be too shaken up to go back to sleep.
The first few times he would sleep with his parents or with his brothers (PILLOW FORT) and after a while, Sonic would tried to go back to sleep on his own because he doesn't want to bother anyone because of his constant nightmares, but that'll result in restless nights.
IDK just wanted to share a scenario that might or might not happen in Sonic Movie 3. I like writing dream scenes for some reason, but this specific one is the best when it comes to foreshadowing events. (Get it? ForeSHADOWing?) I might make a small fic for this one if I feel like it, but for now this whole Master Emerald Power theory/headcanon will do.
I honestly didn't expect this to be long lol

Chaos and Order (A perfect balance) - Wanda Maximoff x reader [Part 1 - Free Falling]
Tumblr media
AO3 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
If you enjoy the story, please drop by AO3 and give me a kudos.
Words: 10k+
A/N: Have fun reading.
You were on the edge of a floating city when you first met her. Almost everybody was evacuated, and you had just used your special ability for the first time since forever to save an insanely fast-moving young man from getting blasted by gatling gun, as well as a strange man in a suit of armor from being chopped into pieces with metal turbines.
It was a strange day.
And it was the day you decided to end your life.
Years ago, when you found out that you were the chosen one to possess the phoenix force and chaos magic, your parents were killed because of it, and it’s your fault. It’s your fault that you lashed out when HYDRA came to capture you and you decided to just blast everything into oblivion, causing you to lose everyone you loved, including your own father and mother. It’s your fault to let HYDRA take you as you were petrified to see bits and pieces of flesh and blood of your loved ones splashed all over you. You can’t blame anyone for a nightmare of a time that you were held captive in a HYDRA facility, being poked at, experimented on, and tortured incessantly for something you couldn’t control, yet. And even when they never succeeded, even when you managed to blow up the whole base in haste of your anger and escaped that hell, time spent there still caused a toll on you. The past traumas, the pain, the hurt had never truly gone.
You’re stuck in your own self-hatred that led to severe depression.
Every moment awake was torturing. Every day was hard.
And you thought, maybe the floating, ready to explode city was a clue for you to go, but the universe just had to let you meet her.
You could feel her from miles away. The radiating power flooding her veins, calling out for you like a beacon. You could sense her from miles away, from the moment she stepped into the city. You felt her, deep inside your bones, felt her anger and her thirst for vengeance shifted to something good, something better, to her desire to save the world and redeemed herself from the past mistakes.
And you could sense her sudden distraught, as she saw you holding the bloody man with gunshot wound in your arms, just sat there, staring into oblivion. You knew she was coming to get him. Her mind screamed bloody murder and whispers of dreadful fate to anyone who hurt the man. You could hear it clearly, like a church bell ringing amidst Sunday prayer. You knew she was coming to get him. Or at least, someone would. And till then, you could let yourself go.
This whole scene, with you holding the one she loved most, who was slowly dying for the blood lost, didn’t look right. You understood. This could cause misunderstanding, you got that very clear, and yet you didn’t really care. You just wanted everything to just be over.
You were born to destroy, not a saving grace, yet still, you helped a man from being chopped into million of pieces in his fancy iron suit, caught this stranger with super speed in your arms like you were the lord and savior. You were not. You were just a monster in the making, and you would gladly give this monstrous life up, especially after knowing that you had done something … good before you go.
You heard her scream his name. “Pietro!”.
You remembered flashed her a small smirk that edged her unstable emotions to explode. You let her rip him away from you, knowing that she would take care of him. You let her blast you backward with her magnificent power of red, and you fell from the ledge. Free falling. You closed your eyes as the wind shifted around you. Your instinct was calling out, banging in your head, trying to force you to just float in the middle of the sky like you had always done, but you fought against it. You fought against your god-forbid, very strong survival instinct, for you had made up your mind.
‘Finally.’ – You thought to yourself. Finally, it’s all over…
‘At least she’s pretty.’ – You mused darkly as gravity became meaningless and forced the air out of your lungs with vigor. To die under the hand of a beautiful woman, what a way to go.
But the universe has got another plan for you. As you almost touched the ground, you opened your eyes to look up at the sky one last time, hoping to just record that beauty of a cruel world you were about to leave behind, all you could see was her.
All you could see was her, so frantic, so scared, diving down, trying to reach you with a glowing red hand that you realized all too well was chaos magic in the early state. And your own magic acted out. All of her pain, all of her sadness and frighten and regrets just bombarded and overflowed in your head. You screamed.
You screamed.
It’s too much. It’s too much.
Your eyes blackened as a soft impact collied with you. The coldness of metal engulfed your body, and you faded into unconsciousness. The last thing you could see was the exploding city that you once wished to call home, was her teary eyes, and the red iron suit holding you tight. The sky was raging with lightning and thunder. The man with long blonde hair caught her and flew away.
Nothing went according to your plan.
And you were robbed of your last wish – which was to die.
At that very moment, you were only twenty-five.
---
You woke up to soft murmurs.
Your oversensitive hearing could pick up little things that people were talking about, even when you were placed in the glass box thick enough that a tank couldn’t break through. You were quick to realize, you were isolated in here, trapped, like a caged animal on display, just like before, just like when you were held captive in the HYDRA lab. Despite the crippling anxiety that surged up in your heart, you let out a mockery laugh. Not at anyone in particular, but at yourself. It was your life now, wasn’t it? To be treated like a dangerous predator? You wondered, what were these people planning to do next? Experimented on you? Well, you mused. How long would it take them to realize they would never get anything out of you? And how long would they need to figure out that you’re only here because of your own decision and this cage they’re holding you in was nothing but child-play if you were to break out?
From the dark, you could make out the muffled, but heated debate from them. The young man with silver hair and the man in iron suit were screaming at their friends/coworkers or whatever, saying something you vaguely heard as: “What else does she have to prove!? She saved my life!”. You chuckled darkly as you closed your eyes. Now that was exaggerated. You didn’t plan on being the hero. He’s just right in front of you and your instinct kicked in.
As much as you didn’t give a damn out this pathetic world anymore, seeing a person who tried his best to save people turning to a target practice was not what you settled for. They didn’t have to make a big deal out of it.
“But we don’t know what she is!” Said another man, in his ridiculous American flag of a suit, calmly, though, somewhere in his tone laced with annoyance. You picked it up pretty quick, considering how much you had heard it when the head doctor at HYDRA usually used it to direct at you. “It’s no secret that she has magic. Even Wanda couldn’t do the trick on her.”
The man in iron suit rolled his eyes, clearly fed up with the stupidity that was displayed in front of him: “Yeah, of course, just barge into her mind like that. I bet she appreciates the violation of privacy as much as we did when the kid fucked us over, right, Cap?”
At least the man called ‘Cap’ had the decency to look ashamed.
“I agree with Tony.” The red hair woman spoke up as she was lounging on the sofa in the back. Her gorgeous face screamed Russian to you, and you swooned a little. As you focused on her, there was a painful tug in your heart, calling out for you to just reach to it, to read her past and rewrite her future, to soothe her life-long desperation, but you resisted the urge. Nobody deserved to be at the receiving end of your invasive ability without knowing. You couldn’t do that to them.
“She clearly isn’t the threat, Steve. She got Stark out, saved Pietro, and this is what we’re paying her? Don’t forget that little witch even blasted her off the sky and she didn’t fight back. So what’s the point of keeping her in there instead of being a decent person and get her a compartment, let her rest and we can hear her side of the story?”
Her voice was exceptionally calm and collected, betraying nothing as she spoke. A part of you were captivated by her, but your toxic mind was screaming at you to resent her a little. You didn’t need her to advocate for you. You didn’t need her to give you a saving grace. Not when you only wished to disappear.
Your senses tingled as you felt their attention shifted to you, but you closed your eyes and regulated your breathing, so that you could look like you were asleep. You didn’t want to face them just now, or ever. You just wanted to be on your own merry way and never have to see them again.
The room got quiet for a moment before you heard someone yell: “Wanda, NO!”, and a surge of energy broke the door of the glass box you were in. Your internal trauma caused you to flinch and curl up as a way to protect yourself, but the glass fragments never came. Cracked an eye open, you saw them being suspended in the air by a red glow, and the woman who attempted to kill you in Sokovia walked in. She was shaking. You figured. She was shaking and her eyes were red. Was she crying? You were not quite sure. And if she did, then why?
She got to where you were laying, and you could feel her magic reaching out, trying to infiltrate your unbreakable mind, but the resistance was strong. She was pushed away, and the young woman gasped. Her breathing ragged as she blinked. You gathered; she wasn’t used to getting rejected when it came to matters like this. After all, she was meant to be the greatest sorceress of all time. However, that was because she hadn’t met you. You were not a walk in the park, either. Whatever she was wielding needed more horning and practices, or else, she could never be your match.
And there you thought she could be the one that put you out of your misery.
You got pulled out of your dark thoughts when you heard her mumbled: “Please… I mean no harm… I just…” She swallowed thickly, as if words had become a thousand knives stabbed into her throat. “I just… You… I need to make sure you’re okay… I need to know you’re not hurt. Please, let me in…”
You didn’t know what to do. You just looked at her with a quizzical gaze. Why wouldn’t you be okay? Why did she suddenly care? She had to be mad at you, or were you wrong? Why was she even here? A thousand questions plagued your head as you blinked owlishly at her outstretched hand, but when she reached out again, you didn’t stop her. Her hand softly placed on your shoulder, and you sharply inhaled. The coldness kind of spooked you and you realized you were bare under the sheet. She was making direct contact with your skin. Oh…
The red glow of her power caressed your body gently, performed a clumsy attempt to heal the little wounds that were left from the fall. That’s what you get when you go skydiving with a city falling apart above you. You wanted to tell her that Chaos magic wasn’t meant to heal. It was meant to wreak havoc, but you didn’t have it in you to bring it up to a clearly distraught woman in front of you. Funny enough, you were wrong. The wounds stopped hurting, but all those cuts were still bleeding, trickling down your body and dampening the duvet.
She teared up and bit her lips as you stopped her.
She didn’t understand that her magic could never fully heal you, but you did. You understood that it was already a miracle that she managed to make the pain go away, for it was her power that compatible to yours. However, it was everything, it was the best she could do. How could she heal the flesh of a monster like yours?
“Don’t worry about it. I’m used to this by now. They will heal by themselves.” A smile made its way to the corner of your mouth as you tried to reassure her. It’s how you had always been, always tried to help. You dropped the sheet down to your back, exposing all the scars that were left after HYDRA, and the incident with your parents. They made pain crept up the young woman’s eyes, and you knew you had made the wrong move, so you covered yourself up, and placed a reassuring hand on hers, patting a few times before curling it up and placing it neatly in your lap.
“Never mind…” You took a deep breath. It burnt your lungs, but you ignored it. “You look like you need some sleep.” You looked down awkwardly. “Go, fix the door on your way out. I’ll get some rest, too. Thanks for trying though… It really makes up a lot for the throwing incident at Sokovia.” You tried to lighten the mood, but she clenched her jaws, and you wondered if you did something wrong again. You were about to apologize, but she beat you to it and began to speak: “I thought… I thought you… I didn’t know you were helping him… I didn’t mean to…”
You sighed, knowing everybody was looking at the both of you now. A need to run crossed your mind in a flash. Years of being poked at didn’t ease the fright of being in the spotlight of yours, but you swallowed it down and licked your dry lips: “I know. You don’t have to explain yourself. I’m a stranger, and I was holding a bleeding man in the middle of the battle field. It’s bound to be a little weird. You were just scared and angry, I could feel it. He must mean a lot to you, and I provoked you. Don’t apologize.”
You dragged the sheet further up to cover ever bit of your exposed skin and laid down.
“When you all finish deciding whether I’m rabid or not, just tell me. Preferably with your voice down if you don’t want me to eavesdrop. And now if you all don’t mind, I think I should get some sleep. It’s been an exhausting day…” You said with a small yawn as exhaustion crashed onto you out of nowhere. All the sleepless nights had caught up to you and your bruised eyes drooped shut. Your heart burnt in your chest and your organs started to ache. You sighed tiredly and shifted to a side, ready to welcome the darkness to succumb you to restless dreams. The last thing you heard was someone shuffled, the clicking sound of the glass being put back, a hush discussion and a warm body sitting beside you.
You didn’t have the energy to see what was going on.
You fell asleep.
---
For a blissful moment, everything stopped turning and banging. There weren’t any sounds, nor yelling, nor the dull ache that was a constant throughout your youth. Just a warm ray of sunshine, a soft duvet, and all the nicest things in the world. You thought you were brought back to your home, with your parents being alive, with an English breakfast waiting for you when you left the bed. You thought you were at that age again, when nothing happened and everything you experienced was just a terrible nightmare. You felt so secure, being wrapped up in a hug so gentle that could bring tears to your stoic, dying heart.
A body was pressed against your skin, breathing slowly and steadily, like a calming sense lured you to the land of dreams again.
You shifted, surrendered under the drowsiness that clouded your brain and burrowed your head somewhere comfortable. The earthy scent combined with a whiff of lavender filled your nostrils and you immediately relaxed into the sheet. Oh, this was the best morning you had ever had in a long while, and you didn’t want it to end.
But when a hand moved up to caress your hair, your heart jumped. Not in a good way. You gasped breathlessly as you slammed back to the glass wall, remembered just where you were and was frightened at the fact that there was someone in your bed, touching you. Your ears were ringing, and the world came crashing down with all the noises and wailings.
Whimpered painfully, you clenched your teeth. Eyes remained shut, you didn’t want to look at the intruder. The hammering heart didn’t help. It beat like it was going to explode and you couldn’t help but clutch your chest. The fear of another HYDRA experiment came crashing. You must have looked like a scaredy cat. Fearful and dirty. For a moment, you spaced out, like you always did. For a moment, you were lost, and trapped in the walls of your own madness. No way out.
Being in such a state, you didn’t hear the frantic voice of your unwanted companion calling out for your attention. You didn’t feel the way she tentatively approached. You felt nothing but crippling fear and anxiety. This was the first time in a long time you had had this feeling again. Maybe it was the glass box that they had put you in. Maybe it was because you didn’t interact with humans much. It scared you out of your mind. The fear of being hurt lingered, but most of all, was the fear of you hurting people. You were dangerous. The last time you got close to someone, you turned them into dust. At least it wasn’t a pink mist like your parents were.
However, when you shut down, you heard a faint voice in your head, cooing sadly: “It’s just me… It’s Wanda… Can you hear me? Love, please, can you hear me?”
You reached out to the voice, fumbling in the darkness. An image popped up in your head and you saw a woman. Her auburn hair framed the perfect face. Hazel eyes sought for your with an unbearable sadness swarming. Your heart ached painfully at the sight, but you haven’t a clue why. You barely knew this woman. You had just met her, but you didn’t understand the way your body and your mind reacted to her voice. It was like an instant magnet, drawing you in and gripping you tight. You could never escape. She reached out, begging you to let her in, begging you to just snap out of it. Her desire to bring you back to her and focus on her only was palpable. It thrummed in her veins, flowed in her blood. And your whole attention gravitated toward her.
You swallowed hard. And with all might, you took her shaky hand.
Suddenly, you were pulled back to reality. In front of you was Wanda. There were tears in her eyes, with a look of concern just like you had seen in your head. Your hand in hers, being held tightly like she was afraid that you might drifted away again. Everything about her made you yearn to touch. You wondered if it was the same with her? This mutual feeling, like you two had known each other for a long time, that you two had finally found each other after a long time being apart. You wondered if she felt the same. But you also knew, it could be the chaos magic calling out for its companion. You also knew just how devilish this power could be. It had messed with your head your whole life.
You were afraid that she was being under the same effect.
The two of you stared into each other’s eyes, swimming in the depth of souls for what felt like an eternity before she slowly raised another hand and cradled your cheek. Uncertainty was visible. You could clearly see that she was not used to being the one to initiate physical contact, but she was trying so hard for you. She was doing it for you. A whine involuntarily slipped out of your lips, and you leaned into her. Your eyes drawn shut.
She whispered: “I’m sorry I spooked you. I…”
You could feel her movement now. Slowly, hesitantly engulfed you in a hug so warm that you practically melted into her chest. She let you drop your forehead on her front and held the back of your head protectively. At that moment, you felt so at home. You felt like everything was right, that all had fallen into the right place. However, it was just your mind playing tricks on you. You didn’t have a home. You gave that up a long time ago. This was nothing but a mere illusion your lonely, depraved mind had made up to lure you into a faux sense of safeness and fooled you to let your guard down.
“Oh… detka…”
You sobbed at her words. The thick Sokovian accent, the anguish and regret, the pain and the pity she felt toward you were heartbreaking. She scared for you. She cared for you, and she hated herself for hurting you mentally and physically even when you said it was okay. It was almost as if she could read your mind, as if she could see the reason why you acted the way you did. It was like she had been through the same thing, and it damaged her just as much as it broke you.
This woman… This magnificent, young, and insanely powerful woman was breaking inside. All because of you. You couldn’t help but hating yourself a little for that. You only broke everything, and you were not so sure that you could forgive yourself if you did the same thing with such a beautiful being before you.
You couldn’t take it.
You knew, she felt it too. The click, when the two of you locked eyes for the first time on that floating city. You knew, it happened to her, too. Whatever you had been through, she understood. And with that, the chaos stopped for a second. The world became quiet for the first time in your short but miserable life.
Like suddenly, the sea stopped raging.
She felt that, too. And that was what brought her to you. The connection between you and her was visible.
Your voice was hoarse with emotion when you tried to speak, but you fought through it. The scratchiness was muffled with her warm skin. She didn’t mind. She could hear you in your head. Though, she did flinch when a puff of cold air hitting her skin. You never felt warm. That was the side effect of whatever happened to you. You never felt warm, until now. Until you felt her skin against yours.
“W… Wanda…” Testing her name on your lips, you were surprised that it came to you so naturally, so easy, like you had called out for her a million time, in a million different ways possible. “I’m okay.” You croaked out. And she nervously tightened her hold around you, not wanting you to waste your breaths. Her body language showed that she wasn’t used to physical affection, either. However, she didn’t seem like she was about to let go of you anytime soon. Knowing that she wanted you to stop, but you were just so stubborn.
“It’s just… I spaced out. I forgot where I am. Sorry I scared you.” Your dry throat was killing you. “I didn’t know you would stay, and it isn’t like I have people in my bed every day to get used to it…” Drawn in a breath, you nuzzled her neck, trying to give her back some comfort she was showing you after cracking a joke at your own expense. It was something you did best. A coping mechanism of sort that didn’t seem to go away even when you’re free.
You tried to give her back… A sign of reassurance, that you didn’t mind her touch, that you were actually clinging on it to be sane. You wished she understood your silent plea. You knew she would. She was still in your head. She was still nesting around your brain, and with her appearance came the red wisps curling tentatively, helping you, listening to you.
“But I appreciate it a lot, Wanda… I had the best sleep of my whole life… But you don’t have to do this. You don’t have to feel bad.” You could see her frown directed at you, as if she was silently questioning: what do you mean? What are you trying to say? And you let out another humorless chuckle, knowing it would spook her, but you just couldn’t help yourself. You stated, a little bit too calm, too much like you have practiced it before, a million times in your own head: “I’m a monster, Wanda. You don’t have to be nice to a monster.”
If you weren’t sure that she was in your head then, you definitely could tell now, as her anger and sadness flooded your mind, soaked your bones, and drowned you along with it. You didn’t have to read her mind to know that she didn’t agree with you. Her power, without proper control, was attacking your nerves with her own grief. She didn’t like the way you were talking about yourself. And you weren’t sure if it was because she didn’t like the way your self-deprecating mechanism worked, or it was because she felt so related to that. Maybe it was both. You weren’t sure.
You didn’t say anything, not even to ask her about why she disagreed. Instead, you watched as she shook her head, her tone was all you heard, and it was soft, but filled with frustration: “You’re not a monster! You saved my brother! You…” She took a glance out of the glass box, where the silver hair man was still lounging with watchful eyes. She sighed deeply, tried to control herself before continued: “Please don’t say it like that… If your are a monster, then what am I?” Her tone dropped down to a whisper. The wetness sipped through the fabric that was covering your skin. You realized she was crying.
“I’m a monster, любимая (liubymaya), you don't know, the thing that I did..."
Darkness clouded her eyes just as fast as an unexpected storm. She acted as if she thought you didn’t know about what she did. She acted as if you hadn’t seen her past actions. She thought she was a terrible omen when everything she did was believing in an old saying: an eye for an eye. She was young and she didn’t know what was best. She was a far cry from a disaster. What she didn’t know was you were exactly something she despite – a horrible beast.
“You don’t know, the thing that I did…”
Wanda didn’t know what possessed her to open up about herself to you, but there was something about you… Something familiar, made her felt so safe. Ever since the incident that caused the death of her parents, ever since the day she and Pietro volunteered for HYDRA, she had been very wary with human interaction. But when she saw you… When she sought you as you were falling down, or when she woke up today, she felt like holding you was the best decision of her life, like everything suddenly snapped back to its place. She felt like happiness and sunshine made their way into her life again after more than a decade of swimming and drowning in a sea of depression.
Seeing you curled up, so small and fragile, somehow awoke the feelings she thought she had once lost. And she couldn’t leave your side knowing you were in distress, even though she had never been the type to cuddle with a stranger, let alone slipped and called them “baby” or even “sweetheart”. But with you? With you, everything came so naturally and effortlessly easy. With you, it felt so right.
But it soon turned into pain, and heartbreak, seeing you shy away from her touch. It turned into horror when she saw you shut down. It wasn’t even a day since the moment she met you had she learnt that she was completely, utterly, and helplessly falling for you, falling for the urge to protect you, to stop any harm that came your way, and she couldn’t help it. Something about you and the way she felt just clicked. And she couldn’t resist staying with you even when you wanted to push her away.
Wanda knew damn well that it wasn’t because of her magic and yours. She knew at the very start that you two shared the dark magic, but it wasn’t what made her feel so desperately wanting to reach our for you. It was rather because of your eyes that spoke to her. Eyes that held so many troubled thoughts and a wounded soul. Looking in your eyes, she saw clarity. Being near you granted her a sense of comfort even Pietro couldn’t afford to bring. She saw you. She saw you who was crying out helplessly behind the mask of an a-okay woman. She saw you, who was in desperate need of a hand to hold.
She saw through you. And she immediately knew that if she let you fall to your death, it would be her biggest mistake, that it would break her to a million pieces more if it was your body that she saw when her feet touched the ground. At that moment, a triad of vision shook her. All she could see was you. All she wished to save was you.
If anyone asked her before whether she believed in love at first sight or not, she would not be hesitant to tell them that they were delusional. But old saying had it clear: You would never know until you know.
You sighed deeply: “Wanda…” The attempt to put a distance between you and her was pointless. She didn’t allow it. Like she was scared that if she let you go, you might evaporate and float away. So you slowly laid down, pulling her with you for hands clung around you refused to move. Her head rested on your weakly beating heart. She mumbled incoherently, signaling that she’s still listening. You kept on speaking: “You’re not a monster. Not to me, anyway.” You smiled dryly. A dark memory flashed through your mind, and it was her turn to shut her eyes as if she had seen something so horrendous. As a matter of fact, it was. You were reliving the memory of you killing your parents, and every HYDRA agent that happened to be there, in your warpath. “Not everyone killed their parents when they had an episode. You are not crazy. Not like I am.”
At this angle, her wince was visible to you. You could do nothing but let your hands fall to your side, hoping that she would do the same and let you go, but she didn’t. You could feel her struggles. Her mind was screaming behind a flimsy wall she tried so hard to put up for your own sake. A surge of anger crawled upon you as you knew you were hurting her again. But her squeeze had a reassuring effect you almost wished it didn’t. If it didn’t, this wouldn’t be so hard.
“See…?” Said you, with a soft and airy voice, like everything didn’t affect you. “You are not a monster, Wanda, not to me, anyway.” Her squeeze turned trembling. You didn’t have the heart to stop it. “You were young, you were scared, you were frightened, and you were angry. But at that very low point of your life, Wanda, you chose the good instead of the bad. You are not crazy. Not like I am.” You showed her something else. You showed her another vision of yours. But it was not you as a child anymore. It was you the day you decided to destroy the HYDRA facility you were kept in.
You showed her how you obliviate everyone and everything with a single blast. There wasn’t even blood that remained. Everything faded to dust before your wrath and anger. Human beings, though good, or bad, though were cruel, or kind, all crumbled down like dirt when they came to contact with your own power. No one was left to tell the tale. No bones, no bodies to bury. You killed them all. In a matter of seconds. You showed her just how sane you truly were at that moment, how it was your intention all along. You showed her the differences between her actions and yours. You showed her the beast when it got out of the cage.
A huff escaped your lungs involuntarily. You averted your glance to the ceiling, where the gray concrete reminded you of the hallway in that hell of a place that tortured you for years on end. “I know you think that there is something to salvage, to save about me. I know. You think we are the same, but we aren’t. Wanda, your magic, your gift, and your inner compassion… they are gifts. I beg for you to not run from it, nor try to suppress it. You, dear Wanda, will be so incredible. You will show the world just how amazing you can be.”
You let her see what you saw. You let her see the vision you created in your head. Her – all mighty and powerful. Her – dressing in red, above everyone else. Her – her – and her, ruling the universe. You showed her just how magnificent she could be; The possibility of her future. And true to your words, she could be so much more.
“I wish I could see it one day… I wish I can help you…”
The sentence trailed to an end. You tiredly glanced at the sky outside, sensing her upcoming question: “What do you mean…?” A panic note hit her tone. “You are planning on leaving?” She lifted her head to look at you, but no matter how much she tried, you avoided eye-contact. You sighed. The smoke escaped your lips and lingered in the air for the coldness in the cell room. “Yeah…” Replied slowly, you did. “Yeah… to somewhere far, far away.” You concluded with a resigned note.
It made her frown. She knew you were very strong. The same magic core she had was also in you, but you wielded it with more practice, more power than she could ever manage. And there was something else in you, too. Something cosmic, something that scared her when she tried to push through to enter your mind. She knew, for she saw how you killed with ease in those memories you showed her. She knew, for she had never seen and felt someone like you in this big world. She knew she could never keep you stay if you wished to leave. She knew that you were only here because you were polite. She doubted even Thor could pull a punch on you. But a small part in her hoped that maybe you would change your mind.
Maybe… maybe you would choose to stay.
Maybe this could be your home…
“Don’t go.” She suddenly whispered, drawing your attention. She repeated, this time more urgent, clearer: “Don’t go.”
You smiled at her, a blank smile without happiness, without malice, void of emotion, but filled with something so painful. “I don’t belong here, Wanda. I can’t stay. I’m sorry…”
“Stop saying that!” She abruptly sat up with fire in her eyes. “You kept saying it like you don’t belong! None of us belong here! God! Even Thor found a home here and this is his second home aside from Asgard! You say it like you don’t belong in this world! You…”
She paused, gasping as realization dawned on her like a ton of bricks. She scrambled away from you in horror. Her tone filled with unwanted accusations. She couldn’t help herself. She pointed her shaking finger at you, who remained on the bed, still like a plank of wood. “You don’t even plan on being alive anymore!” She stared at you in disbelief and a wounded note in her voice. You knew you had slipped up. You knew she read your mind. She must have seen the thoughts of yours flashed back to when you were in the floating city. She figured out that you were about to jump down, but you couldn’t just leave Pietro alone, bleeding all over. When she came, your only thought was finally.
You planned on dying on the day you two first met.
The anger and fear she felt were affecting you. For some reason, you didn’t want to see tears rolling down her cheeks. You reached out, trying to comfort her but she batted your hand away like you had just betrayed her trust. She stared at you with a look of agony.
What she was feeling right then was so intense that you didn’t understand why. She had just met you, and you just met her. But there was this… Thing. There was this thing and it made both of you feel like you two had been soulmates for a lifetime. And that explained why you gravitated to her, why she was so emotional, so hell-bent too keep you, and why your heart was breaking when she cried.
“Why…?” Wanda asked.
You understood, that lying only hurt her more, so you aimed for the truth. “I’m dangerous. I’m alone. I can’t live with myself. I can’t deal with the traumas, the chronic episodes. And don’t get me wrong, Wanda. It’s not like I’m full of humanity. I don’t feel scared about HYDRA. I chose to let them try. I chose to let them hurt me. I had hoped for them to somehow kill me in the process, but they’re just weak. They were worthless. I didn’t stop using my power because I killed some measly rats. I killed my own family, Wanda. How can I live with myself?” Your voice raised a tone and it alerted the silver hair man, who then you knew, was Pietro – Wanda’s brother. He looked on edge, like he wanted to barge in, but he couldn’t. He didn’t have the clearance, nor the power Wanda had. She was left in here alone with you.
“I’m better off, Wanda. And the world is better off without me, without a soulless monster that finds no remorse in killing, that takes joy from others’ agony.” You let out a mockery laugh. “You see how scared your friends were. You see how they immediately considered me a threat. Even your brother out there can’t stand the sight of you being left alone with me when he knows full well just how capable you are. They are right to show concern, Wanda. They are right. I am a threat, and the less amount of time I’m here, the better, is it not?”
Whatever you were trying to say didn’t sit right with Wanda. She clenched her fist, then whispered-yelled at you, fully aware that Pietro was worried: “Bullshit! What’s with me isn’t a monster? You believe that don’t you? So why not giving yourself a chance!?”
She clearly couldn’t see the reason. You and she were different. She didn’t want to kill, but you went out for it like it was your second nature.
You shook your head and averted your gaze to the ceiling again: “We’re not the same, and it’s not that simple.”
Wanda grunted in annoyance. She gripped your chin, invaded your personal space and forced you to look at her. You couldn’t help but thinking ‘Oh wow… she’s so pretty when she’s angry’ when you saw eyes burnt with passion and frustration, making the green more vibrant, more pronounce. The sight robbed your breaths away just like that. You scolded your paralyzed mind to put it together, but she might have heard you anyway, for she smiled a little, but then stiffened her posture into sternness before speaking with finality:
“There’s nothing…” Her breaths fanned your cold cheek. Her face got closer. Close enough for you to see freckles of gold reflecting in her eyes. You couldn’t breathe with her being so close. If you moved, your lips would gaze on hers. You started to think that this was her intention to shut you up. “Nothing different between us.” Her grip on your chin tightened when she sensed your rebuttal, forcing your jaws to slack open a little. You were helpless in her hands. You were willing to be helpless in her hands.
“You have magic. I do, too. You have killed. I have, too. You hurt people, but not without a reason, just like you told me about my decision to side with Ultron: because I have the right to be anger. You do, too. You didn’t purposely kill your parents, just like I couldn’t keep the bomb to stop exploding and killed my own parents. What happened to you and I, was terrible. But the team can help you, I can help you. We can help each other. You will not go anywhere. You will not throw your life away! You hear me? You can’t just… It’s wrong!”
You stared at her in awe as she gave you the speech. The passion in her tone made you fight hard not to squirm. She was incredible… What a force of nature that she was.
“You saw it…” She said. “I did unspeakable things before. I hurt the people out there more than anything could, and they still accepted me with open arms. The team… I almost killed them all with my own grudge, and yet, they welcomed me. They might be a little skeptical at first, but soon, they will come around. We’re a family.  We will be your family. You’re one of us now.”
Her voice shook with emotion. “Let us take care of you, so you won’t feel alone… Let us help you through your depression. Let us… Let me help… Just let me in…”
You gulped as she looked at you with such longing. It’s only been a day and the effect she had on you was too much. Though your mind kept trying to reason with you, yelling at you to push her off of you, to break free and jump down the highest building to end this miserable life, your heart tugged at the strings, forbade you to do as such. It told you to surrender. It told you to give in.
And gave in, you chose.
You sighed for what a million times and closed your eyes, mumbling: “I’m too much of a burden, Wanda. I’m not sure if…”
“You are not!” She cut you off sharply. “You’re not…” This time softer: “Don’t be too harsh to yourself. We can make it through this, you and I…”
You nodded as she laid down with you after making sure that you had changed your mind and no longer fought her with every word, resuming her previous position with her arms around your body, and her head on top of your chest. She smiled brightly and victoriously, knowing you had given in.
“And you know what?”
You raised an eyebrow at her, questioning her wordlessly. She giggled; Her cheeks flushed with the prettiest rosy color.” You can’t die even if you want to. My brother is very fast. He can catch you anytime.” You rolled your eyes fondly, knowing that she’s trying to lighten the mood. You couldn’t help but think in your head: ‘not fast enough to outrun bullets, though. I’m faster.’ You laughed aloud when she whacked your shoulder. “Piet will be offended.” She laughed along with you. Your weird sense of dark humor tickled her more than Tony’s stupid snarky remarks, she figured.
“Furthermore…” She continued, speaking about Tony Stark… “Tony seems to like you very much. You’re officially his daughter by now. Congratulation for having a very rich adopted dad!”
“Wha…” You protested, not knowing what she was talking about.
Wanda grinned cheekily: “You happened to save a Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. He adores you, dear. Has been fighting with the whole team since we came back to let you out of here. Cap is acting like a prick, but Tony is having the upper hand now.” She added underneath her breath: “He has always been the biggest prick, that Stark. At least he’s doing something good for once.”
You frowned at her disdain toward a certain man named Stark. You thought she was on his team. How could she be in a team and fight for the world when she didn’t fully trust her teammates? But she kept on: “Speaking of, he’s coming. Don’t say a word about running. He might cry.”
She teased.
You groaned: “God… What have I signed up for?”
“Nothing yet, but hopefully soon.”

A few things before we go:
Heya! This is the first time I've ever posted fanfiction. Let me know what you think <3 this is inspired by many hybrid ideas from wonderful writers like @Cinnamonest
lets see how this goes, thanks for reading :3
𝖉𝖌 𝖙𝖊𝖊𝖙𝖍
𝖕𝖗𝖔𝖑𝖔𝖌𝖚𝖊
Having been born near the base of Dragonspine mountain, you were raised on a quiet ranch with little foot traffic. Your heritage of large, powerful canid hybrids allowed for easy survival when the coldest months beat the local area. After all, Dragonspine was cursed with yearly snowfall and the ranch being so close was no different.
Your earliest memories were that of clinging to your mother’s long and fluffy tail as she did her daily chores around the snowy ranch. She’d smile lovingly, appreciative that she could remain with her children when other hybrids were not so lucky. Newborns and infants being ripped from their mothers was a common occurrence in this challenging world.
Your mother taught you many useful things during your time with her. She’d given you the gift of motherly love, the ability to read and write, and a happy childhood with no worries about where your next meal would come from. She wanted to give you everything she never had: a loving parent, an education, and a content life.
You grew up physically strong thanks to your work on the ranch. Thankfully, your human owner - a kind, old gentleman you called “grandpa” - paid you for your time and work. He’d made sure there was always food on the table, a home you can reside, and a comfortable bed to sleep in. After a long day with the ranch’s numerous animals, grandpa would pat your head and tell you that you were such a good girl, you’d make your father proud.
“Now, wash up and head to the dining room! Your mother made a delicious dinner,” Grandpa would say before sending you off. Your family were his loyal ranch-dogs, and you cherished his kindness.
Your teenage years flew by, and before you knew it, you were a young adult. Your mother and siblings were by your side and the ranch was still as it always had been: calm and successful. While you were blossoming into adulthood, grandpa’s health began declining at a rapid pace. As his loyal companions, you and your siblings would be at his bedside for his last breath.
Shortly after grandpa’s death, chaos ensued. Due to the laws in Teyvat, hybrids were unable to own land. Grandpa’s property was swiftly taken by the reigning government and your family was abducted in the middle of the night. The same night your sweet man you knew as your grandfather had passed.
Waking to the cold metal bars of a dog cage was something you’d never experienced before, and it terrified you. You were aware that your previous lifestyle was incredibly sheltered and not a common situation for many hybrids, but this whiplash was horrific.
Life changed wildly from there. You were placed in cart after cart, chained, muzzled, and caged at all times. You struggled at first, but your captors overpowered you in every attempt to escape or fight back. Soon, you were separated from the remaining members of your family.
After a week of traveling to who-knows-where, your party was brought to a prison-like center where many just like you resided. You’d never seen so many dog hybrids in your life. Many were hostile, you’d been attacked a couple times during your six months there. Some were silent out of fear, you among them. Your tail usually tucked between your legs, it was hard to socialize and maintain yourself as you were beaten and trained from dawn until dusk. You’d grown aggressive and fearful, an angry shell of your former self.
The human trainers, cruel and ruthless, never called you by your name. To them, you were a number. When they called your number, you were to obey and carry out any order - whether that be sitting on the floor like a common dog or slaughter a disobedient mutt.
You were not the same person you once were by the time your training concluded. The day of your graduation, you were bathed, thoroughly brushed, and dressed in decent plain clothing. A sickly feeling occupied your stomach… and it wasn’t the overly sweet shampoo they’d use to scrub you down.
They set you up to be bought and sold to the highest bidder.
The clients you were prepared to see must have been of high importance. Only you and a few other dog hybrids were brought into this small, elegant room somewhere inside the facility. You’d never seen this room before, but you knew better than to look around. You kept your eyes trained on the ground in front of you. New smells and sounds invaded your senses when the door at the opposite end of the room opened and allowed in the new guests.
Buyers, you knew, as this was what you’ve been trained for. These prospective buyers approached the line of hybrids, each muzzled and collared. Like property. You didn’t make eye contact with any of them, but you felt them peer into you with judgment. A couple strangers even touched you; your ears, your face, your shoulders, your hands.
Thankfully, they were not permitted to get too handsy. Finally, after what seemed like hours of intense staring and touching, a man of your age approached you. Unlike the others, he abruptly pulled your bottom jaw open, observing your sharpened canine teeth with curious blue eyes.
You finally drew in the appearance of this potential owner. Orange hair, bright blue eyes, a cheery grin plastered on his face. He had beautiful features, but you knew better.
The defiant look of hatred in your eyes sealed your fate as he towered over you.
“This one,” He said, dropping his gloved hand from your mouth.
“She’s perfect.”

Ohh I love me some soulmate au's. Would you mind writing one with Shatter (transformers) x reader? I love and am such a sucker for this particular soulmate au trope: getting the same injuries your soulmate does.
Warnings: Canon Typical Violence, Villainous Reader
Your injuries have always been intense, even as a child. You remember your parents being concerned, mostly because you would complain about limbs going numb and chest pain. It isn’t something that worries you now, personally; it’s just the way things have always been.
It makes a bit more sense when your soulmate is made of metal. At least you assume she’s your soulmate, watching as Shatter has her arm torn off and yours goes numb. You’re thankful that the injuries don’t transfer 100% just because that would be a nightmare. Your brain is racing, trying to figure out if you’re really tied to a giant metal alien.
The solider holding you let’s go in a moment of shock and you break for the exit, ignoring the chaos around you. You’re not going to look a gift horse in the mouth and besides, you need to get the parts you acquired back to your base. It’s not hard to break out of the base, everyone running around like chickens with their heads cut off.
You accidently get slammed into a wall and hiss, cradling your shoulder but not stopping. Getting stampeded to death isn’t on your bucket list. You only half register the burning gaze in your back, hot wiring a car and driving away. The road shakes and shrapnel flies through the air, your body tense as you do your best to dodge everything.
Finally, the base disappears from your rear view and you begin to relax. Your arm is still numb but it’s getting better, almost like it’s slowly waking up from being asleep. After a couple of hours, you notice the muscle car cruising behind you. Something pulls you towards it, begging that you pay more attention.
The glint of the setting sun shows off the red, almost pink tone of the car and you understand. You don’t panic, even if your heart is beating faster. The road is basically deserted this late in the middle of nowhere but you’re not going to take the chance. At the first semi hidden pull off you turn, the car following behind you smoothly.
By the time you park and exit your vehicle, the sounds of metal twisting fill the air. You miss whatever has happened because the creature from before is there, crouched between the trees and staring at you. Moments of silence pass, wind moving through the trees; you’re content to let whoever it is make the first move.
You smile as they reach out, palm uncurling over the grass. You approach slowly, setting your hand against the fingers in front of you. The creature let’s out a deep feminine laugh and you hum. This isn’t what you expected from your soulmate but you’re not going to back down from a challenge.

Hey Red, longtime fan of your channel and as of yesterday Aurora binge-reader
I have a few questions about your comic, answer as many or as few or as none at all as you want, and I apologize in advance for my physics-and-worldbuilding-junkie lizard brain that absolutely adores and wants to grok your awesome fantasy series, Please know this all comes from my own insatiable curiosity and passion for your comic
First of all, the metal caste gets their free will from recieving a spark at puberty, or from being struck by lightning and being "chosen", but could a mage give a spark to an unsparked metal caste by zapping them with lightning? could you be zapped multiple times? what happens if an already sparked metal caste is struck by lightning?
Do certain subgroups of humans that were elementally influenced or evolved show specific proclivities towards respective elements? (like are there a lot of stone mage metal-castes)
What are the crystal caste and where did they come from/were first mentioned either in a post or in the story? Rattle off as many varieties and their general deal as you want
Would the inhabitants of aurora ever have to retool or add new holidays if in the future any significant enough conceptual gods arise?
Is the white dragon real in the sense of as VD's opposite or is she just not real/is just a created god
If so, what's the actual source of the paladin's magic and how does it fit in with the elements?
Can gods channel the elements and be mages?
If so, why didn't VD posses the twins or have a god created for him to channel magic through?
how is VD even able to influence anything if he's stuck inside the adamantine prison?
if the white dragon is real, does she correspond to an eighth element?
is the eighth element soul?
if not what is soul? and is anything in this world not made of "elements" in the "stuff made from a primordial or whatever made them" way?
is adamantine made of the same stuff as soul?
are there more than eight elements?
where do stars come from?
where did the moons come from?
are there more planets besides the world we know?
do they have living things?
does the amalgam star look kind of like the green sun from homestuck (look it up)
do the other 4 promordials (and the 1-2 dragons) have progenitors like life's amalgam star and fire's two mysterious parents?
is or was there a whole society of primordials out in space?
If the promordials happened to develop a different language/alphabet would their great runes look different?
And some fun meta questions and comments:
I love the auroran calender, being that it is far more mathmatically clean and consistent than our own, (I watched your Thoth gambles with the moon video), is this sort of wish fufillment? I also love how you incorporated some chaos back in with the red moon sword and added a three day intercalery period
What are some common tropes you knowingly subverted or played with when writing the story?
It's extremely refreshing that Kendal doesn't have "chosen one" angst, instead he has much more subdued "no one will get hurt because of me" and "am I human?" angst
What's your opinion on tv tropes, (I for one, have wasted so many hours on it)
Did the primordials have a super-fun six man band dynamic?
who was the comic relief?
What's your actual opinion on Erin (I find his character super fun/compelling and I find his hubris hilarious)
The god mechanics have kind of a neil gaiman feel, I love it!
Vash gives off extreme shonen protagonist vibes (like goku + thor + spiderman) Is this on purpose? I love it
Kendal also seems pretty shonen protagonisty
Could you make an entire chapter where Erin just reads one of his magic textbooks and we get an in depth look at the study of magic and everything the people in the story know about it (I'm kidding of course but I also would actually eat that up like chocolate pudding because I'm a total lore junkie)
And sorry this is soooo long, you prob won't respond and I don't want to annoy you, just really curious and excited about your comic!
Holy heck, okay, let's count it down
The lightning that sparks a metal-caste cannot be influenced by another will - so a mage's lightning won't have this effect. If an already-sparked metal-caste is struck by lightning they receive a Second Spark and become a Stormbreaker.
Yep! For instance, almost all Ignans are fire mages.
The Crystal Caste live on the Helm-East continents and were influenced by the increased presence of Stone's bones, which are the source of all natural crystal. They haven't been mentioned in the comic yet, but have been discussed some out here. They're allegedly ruled by the Adamant Caste located on the northern continent, a family descended from the first Adamant King who led a rebellion against the magically dominant Glassfolk that once ruled the region. They possess the unique ability to control and redirect magic other people cast, even more rare among the Crystal-Caste who are very rarely mages of any kind. Under the Adamant Caste on the equatorial continent are three empires in a tense stalemate - the militarily powerful Sapphire Empire, the naturally-protected Ruby Empire shielded by a mountain range and a vast desert, and the weaker Emerald Empire that sprawls on the eastern coast and has only maintained its power at a level comparable to the other two through uniquely cunning tactics and a habit of accepting the talents of non-Crystal-Caste into the court - even some ferin.
Not unless they wanted to. The gods that get festivals are the ones it's easy to theme a party around.
Unknown!
See above!
Nope! The gods control the elements in a completely different way than mortals do. Rather than channeling elemental energy/primordial souls, they seem to impose their own soul on the elements they wish to manipulate, embodying it and reshaping it that way.
See above!
The Void Dragon is a living primordial being. We have no parameters for what abilities we can expect him to have, as all the other primordials we know of are dead. Evidently he can exert a degree of surveillance and physical control outside of his body. Maybe that's something all primordials could do!
Presumably the Light Dragon would correspond to an eighth element.
If soul energy is an element like the other primordials, it doesn't behave the same way any of them do, and it seems to universally permeate everywhere anyone has looked so far.
The nature and origin of soul energy is unknown. The Collector would very much like an answer to the same question!
Adamant is the perfect balanced fusion of the six elemental primordials, and it's a physical substance. Soul energy is a typically invisible energy that permeates everything. They are not the same thing.
Confirmed yes, starmetal is not any of the known elements and is theorized to be literal cooled shards of dead stars. Thus we know there are more elements out there, even if it is just one more element.
The origins of stars are largely unknown, but some observers with very good telescopes claim that new stars sometimes appear in luminous gassy nebulas.
The moons are the destroyed remains of Stone's armaments - a sword and a tower shield. Without him, over time they crumbled and gravity took over. That's why they're called Sword and Shield.
Unknown!
See above!
Pretty dope but no, it's much weirder than that
Yes!
Unknown but possible!
Evidence suggests that the runic language is the writing system of the Primordials, so by definition the runes would look the same.
META QUESTIONS:
Definitely wish fulfillment on my part. I just like it when things evenly divide other things. Is that so wrong?
Oh so many. Chief among them is the Easy Romantic Subplot Between The Male Lead And The First Girl. There was a draft (when I was like eleven) where of course that was going to be a thing, and then I realized I super didn't need to do anything I didn't want to do, and their relationship can just be whatever. Outside of that I don't tend to think of storytelling in terms of what tropes to avoid so much as I let the characters do what makes sense for them, and sometimes that means skipping over more easy stock plots or sources of conflict.
Kendal's flavor of angst is, in my opinion, significantly more relatable than "boohoo having a cosmic destiny and awesome sword is really sad and I wish my life was boring", like even though that's probably what WOULD happen I like this a lot more
love me some TVTropes, I spent like six months in highschool devouring as much of it as I could find and emerged changed - an elevated being, one could say. To this day I like going on TVTropes after I finish a series and just reading through the bite-sized analysis and highlights.
yeup!
definitely Lightning
I love Erin very much. I write a lot of paragons who will always try to do the most morally right thing they can manage - so it's very refreshing to write somebody who literally thinks he's too smart for that. Erin has a moral compass - he even follows it sometimes - but he prides himself on prioritizing real things like knowledge and power. Erin will use any tools he has available to succeed - in theory. In practice he's rigidly principled and it frustrates him immensely. Erin is like a "season 1 villain turned season 2 grumpy ally" except we fully skipped season 1. Erin is also convinced he's the main character, which is very funny to me. Also sometimes it's just fun to write someone being a huge dick to people who deserve it, and since I have a lot of protagonists who either can't or won't stand up for themselves, letting Erin loose on the people hurting them is very cathartic.
Thanks! Neil Gaiman's attitude towards gods definitely influenced me, although I put my own spin on it to make it work in a way I actually fully enjoyed.
Vash's protagonist vibes are absolutely intentional. He is the hero of the wrong story - every brash, powerful, badass protagonist trait I like rolled into one. Literally the most mortifyingly known I've ever felt was when I sent the first chapter to a friend of mine and she saw the first page he talked on and immediately responded "so this dude is based on Inuyasha right?"
Kendal has the outward appearance of the most classic hero I could construct, but on the inside is very different - a lot more melancholy and very laser-focused on his task, caring achingly deeply but slowly learning to let himself be cared for in return. Many hero's journeys focus on the protagonist's personal desires and flaws distracting them from their inevitable quest, but I thought it would be interesting if Kendal had the exact opposite problem - a being driven by a singular heroic purpose learning to let himself do and feel literally anything else.
if we ever get to the Mage Academy this could very well happen and that is a threat

Fic Aesthetic - Yours truly
Written for: @wermadashatters on TikTok.
A/N - This was based on a TikTok that my bestie saw where Sebastian kicked a stunt double into a table for TFATWS.
Tumblr media
The crisp morning air whipped your hair around as you walked onto set. Birds chirped around you and the faint colors of the morning's sunrise blanketed across the sky like a painting. This wasn't the first time you'd filmed in Georgia, but it was the first time you were needed for this particular stunt.
As a stunt double, you had to be prepared for anything. Cuts, bruises, blood, and even broken bones were possible in this line of work. Your parents supported you, sure, but it still concerned them whenever you visited them sporting a new injury.
The new series you'd been a part of was called The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and you couldn't be happier. Being an avid Marvel fan, you jumped at the opportunity when they began looking for stunt actors.
Taking a sip of your caramel macchiato, you caught sight of the director walking toward you.
"Y/N! Good morning! Lovely weather isn't it?"
A toothy grin spread across your face as you readjusted your bag on your shoulder.
"Mornin' Kari! Yes, it's so nice out."
She handed you a packet and began to walk alongside you.
"So, I wanted to talk to you about today's scenes. Well, one in particular. I know you're used to your line of work, but I always like to talk to my doubles to make sure they're one hundred percent okay with everything."
You nodded and set your coffee down on a nearby table. At first glance, it didn't look like you'd be doing anything major, but something caught your eye on the last page.
"It's this one here." Kari's finger hovered over the middle of the page. "This is a warehouse scene. It'll be you, Mackie, and Sebastian. Now, the writers and I set the scene up to have you running away from Seb and Anthony."
She gestured to the stacks of boxes and shelving units in the makeshift set they built. "Once you come through that door and cut a hard right around those boxes there, Anthony is going to try and grab you, your jacket comes off slowing you down a bit. Seb is going to be coming from the opposite side and he is scripted to kick you into that table over there."
Kari glanced at your face for some sort of reaction, so you opted for a soft smile.
"I appreciate your concern. You're one of the only directors who have asked my opinion. I'm down for anything you want to throw at me. I signed up for this, and if I gotta be kicked by Sebastian Stan to make the episode good then so be it."
She laughed and placed a hand on your shoulder. "Alright, great! I'll see you in about an hour."
Forty-five minutes later you made your way to the warehouse. To someone who wasn't used to a film set, it would look like total chaos.
The crew ran around setting up lights, getting camera angles right, and moving set pieces to ensure the scene was ready. Sebastian's costume designer was making sure Bucky's prosthetic arm fit properly and Anthony was munching on a donut in a nearby chair.
"Y/N! Over here! I saved you a seat!"
Smiling, you chuckled and made your way over to him.
"Morning Mack! Good to see you!"
He offered you the box of assorted donuts.
"Thanks! So, how's Seb today? He seems...I don't know...off?"
Anthony swallowed the last of his breakfast and sighed.
"Seabass isn't particularly keen with today's shoot. He doesn't want to hurt you, Y/N."
You let out a breath and patted him on the knee.
"I'm gonna go talk to him."
As if on queue, the blue-eyed Romanian glanced warily in your direction. You moved to stand in his line of sight and looked up at him.
"Hey, don't look at me like that. You have nothing to be scared of, Sebastian."
He shook his head and ran the fingers of his right hand down your arm.
"You can't ask me to be okay when I'm scripted to kick you in the ribs, Y/N. These are steel-toed boots for God's sake!"
Your free hand grabbed his left one and began rubbing small circles to try and soothe him.
"Seb, listen, I signed up for this. I can take it."
His concerned eyes locked onto your Y/E/C ones silently pleading you not to go through with it.
"How about this? How about we get this shot in one take, hm? Put some extra Seabass spice into Bucky's demeanor and give me one of those stern Winter Soldier stares or something. Blow Kari away and then we only have to do this once, okay?"
He closed his eyes and licked his lips. The action of his tongue ignited a fire deep in your core that you tried desperately to ignore.
"Alright….alright I'll do it, but I'm gonna go all out. I don't want to do this more than once."
"Okay everybody, places, please! We've got a lot to cover and only so many hours in the day."
Kari moved to sit behind the main camera while the rest of the crew got to their designated spots. She began to call out the rest of her orders as you, Seb, and Anthony moved into position.
"Roll sound!"
"Falcon and Winter Soldier warehouse fight sequence, scene twelve, take one,….marker,….and ACTION!"
Tumblr media
After a deep breath, you cleared your mind as you shoved the metal door open and ran. It was dark, mountains of boxes flanked you at a dead end.
"Hey! Stop!"
The sound of heavy footsteps closed in behind you as you took a hard right. Fingers gripping onto your jacket made you stumble, and you quickly freed yourself before breaking into a dead sprint.
"Buck, she's headed right for you!"
As soon as you passed the last row of shelves, a boot connected hard against your side making you cry out in agony. Your body collided with a wood table smashing two of the legs. Your left hand wiped the trickle of blood from your brow as you scrambled backwards away from the super soldier.
He stalked toward you, a murderous look in his eyes as he brought his boot down to rest on your sternum.
"Where is it?"
You struggled underneath him as you thrashed from side to side doing your best to break free.
"Like I'd ever tell you, Barnes!"
His eyes darkened and the pressure of his weight increased on your chest making it hard to breathe as he knelt down on his opposite knee.
"I said…" He hovered directly over your face, his metal hand gripping your chin tightly. "Where is it?!"
He raised his voice and squeezed your face a little tighter. Your free hand tried to pry him away, but he was too strong.
He licked his lips and leaned down so he was inches from your face. Your core throbbed, arousal dripping onto your panties as you tried to regulate your breathing.
"How about you stop being a bitch and give us the flash drive."
Tumblr media
"CUT! Guys, that was perfect! I think we got it, so no need to reset. Go ahead and break for lunch and we will meet back here at two for the next scene."
The moment Kari called cut, Sebastian's eyes softened with worry. He pulled you to your feet, taking note of the way you winced when he touched the cut on your head.
"Y/N, I'm so sorry...I...I knew I shouldn't ha-"
You cut him off with a kiss, his body going rigid for a few seconds before pulling you flush against him. Your hands reached up into his hair and you licked his bottom lip asking for entrance. His hands found purchase on your hips and he let out a low groan. Taking the opportunity, you licked into his mouth desperately trying to gain friction to where you needed it most.
Sebastian pulled away, his eyes dark with arousal as he leaned his forehead against yours.
"What was that for?"
Instead of answering him, you grabbed his hand and pulled him to a nearby supply closet. You shoved him in and locked the door behind you both.
"Y/N, wha-"
"Do you know how fucking hot that was, Sebastian?"
He furrowed his brow and searched your eyes for an answer.
"How...what...huh? Y/N, I just kicked you and practically stood on top of you...I...y-you liked that?"
A giggle fell from your lips and you began to pull off his costume.
"I think like is a bit of an understatement, baby."
He cupped your cheek and kissed you again, softer this time. Once you finally got his pants undone, you pulled them down and practically ripped yours to get them off your legs.
"Seb, please… feel how wet I am."
You brought his right hand between your folds and moaned when his fingers brushed your clit.
"F-Fuck, baby… want you to be rough with me… love hearing you call me names like you own me."
Sebastian nearly came undone at the sight of you before him. He had never been so turned on in his life. Something inside him snapped. It made him almost primal seeing you writhe against him, pussy dripping from his hand alone.
He shoved you against the door and kicked your feet apart.
"Look at you. So fuckin' needy for my touch."
He shoved two metal fingers inside you and curled them, immediately finding the spot that made you see stars. His free hand clamped over your mouth to muffle your moans.
"What a fucking slut. Getting all wet from what my character did to yours. Do you like that, Y/N? You like when I stuff Bucky's thick fingers in this tight little cunt?"
Your eyes rolled back as you clenched around his digits, legs starting to shake from your impending orgasm.
"Don't you fucking dare, doll. You'll cum when I tell you to."
He pushed a third finger in and quickened his movements making you whimper. You knew you wouldn't be able to hold back, and you knew Sebastian knew that too. The moment his thumb touched your clit you screamed into his hand, your cum gushing down his fingers.
The hand covering your mouth moved to your throat and squeezed slightly. "I fuckin' told you not to cum." He moved the hand that was on your pussy to your mouth and shoved his fingers past your lips. "Be a good girl and clean them off."
Your tongue lapped at them like it was your last meal, the taste of yourself making you moan.
"On your knees."
Immediately, you sank to the floor and looked up at him. He gripped your hair and shoved his boxers down to where his pants lay around his ankles.
"Open up, let Daddy fuck that pretty mouth."
He slid past your lips and bit his when he felt himself slide into your throat.
"Fuck...What a good fuckin' girl."
He tightened the grip on your hair and set a brutal pace. You brought a hand between your legs and began small circles on your clit as drool and tears began to cover your face.
"You're such a cock-slut. Takin' Daddy's dick in your throat. You needy little whore."
Right before your second orgasm came he pulled you off him and brought you to your feet.
"Gonna fill that tight little pussy with my cum, baby."
You pulled him down for a searing kiss and wrapped a hand around his cock stroking him slowly.
"Please, daddy… please fuck me."
Sebastian groaned and lifted you against the door. His hands roughly caressed your curves as he began leaving love bites anywhere he could reach.
"How bad do you want my cock, baby doll?"
"Daddy, I need it. Please, please fill me up. Wreck me and show me who I belong to."
He growled at your words and slammed into you, his cock stretching you deliciously.
He thrusted relentlessly, his fingers tugging at your nipples harshly.
"Fuck, Y/N...you feel so good...so fuckin' good. Mmm…"
His lips crashed against yours, swallowing your moans.
"You were made for me. Fuckin' perfect. Taking my...ah f-fuck...cock so well."
Sebastian brought his right hand to your throat and his left to your clit.
"You wanna cum for Daddy? Wanna cum all over my cock?"
"P-Please.." was all you could say without crying out in ecstasy.
He changed his position, the new angle making your walls clench tight around him.
"Not yet, doll. Gonna count down from ten and you're gonna be a good girl and cum with me."
He slowed his pace and thrusted harder, his cock going impossibly deeper.
"Ten…"
His lips kissed along your neck leaving another mark next to the others he'd made previously.
"Nine….eight"
The pressure on your throat increased and you nearly lost it, eyes shutting tightly to try and hold back.
"Just a little more, baby...you're doing so good. Seven….open those eyes, pretty girl. Show daddy those eyes...six….five….four.."
The fingers on your clit sped up, your legs shaking as you gripped onto Sebastian's biceps. You locked eyes with him, silently pleading for him to take mercy on you and let you cum.
"Three….You're nearly there, Y/N…two…"
His movements became sloppy as he fucked into you faster, his own release beginning to wash over him.
"Oh, shit...ah fuck...Y/N. Can feel that sweet pussy squeezin' me…gonna fill you up...cum with me, baby…"
His gaze met yours and slammed into you hard as you raked your nails down his back.
"One."
Sebastian kissed you feverishly, doing his best to muffle your moans as both of your orgasms crashed over you like a tsunami. He stilled inside you, his lips lazily molding with yours in sweet kisses.
"Such a good girl...so good for me, Y/N."
He set you down on wobbly legs and helped you get dressed.
"So much for eating lunch, we only have thirty minutes to get cleaned up and ready to film again."
You laughed and took his hands in yours.
"My trailer has a detachable shower head." You gazed at him seductively and watched as he bit his lip.
"Woman, you're gonna be the absolute death of me."
