ghost has difficulties falling asleep. the only times he finds himself drifting off instantly, is when you're talking to him. it sounds rude, but your voice is so soothing to him. your voice literally lulls him to sleep.

you're both tucked into bed. he's so sleepy, so tired. you would do anything to have him be like you– to have the ability to lay his head on his pillow and knock out in less than five minutes. unfortunately, his thoughts keep him awake, but he thanks whoever is in charge for your presence.

you're laying on his chest, eyes closed. your right hand on his left ear, fingers running over it and on his lobe. usually this would help, but he needs to hear you.

you scoot up and invite him to lay on your chest instead. you tell him about the book you've been reading. how it made you cry. how you wish it would have ended differently.

Roy/Jamie fic idea: Bachelor King Roy is convinced to marry Prince Jamie Tartt for political reasons. Roy's niece is kidnapped and saved by a mysterious warrior in black armor. Roy is instantly enamored when the warrior brings Phoebe back safe and sound, but with an arrow sticking out of his own shoulder. The warrior disappears. A few days later Roy finally meets Prince Jamie and is less than impressed with the overgrown man-child pre-madonna. Jamie has his own secrets, keeping up the act of being a prick, his horrid dad breathing down his neck to secure the much needed alliance with the Kent kingdom, hiding an arrow wound he recently got to his shoulder, and a large trunk among his belongings that holds a special black armor. Marriage and mysteries abound, along with slowly falling in love and forming a true family when Roy and Jamie find each other and those like Ted, Beard, Rebecca, Keeley, Higgins, and the Richmond Lads
