Given how much overlap there is between the Hatsune Miku fandom and the cosmic horror fandom, it's a bit surprising that, at the time of this posting, the number of legit Google search results for "hatsune mi-go" stands at zero.

rev my man my hal i am having THOUGHTS ABOUT THE MI-GO
so
i was thinking about Affini stuff and realized that a lotta what im trying to figure out would work better for something FUNGOID (more akin to Terran fungus) than for something FLORAL (more akin to Terran plants) or FAUNAL (MEAT), and the MI-GO fit that roll perfectly
anyway anyway anyway
GRAFTS
the idea
your average MI-GO starts off as an awkward gestative mold that acts like a halfway between a slimemold and an egg, before it hatches out a gross little grub-nymph stage that eventually develops into an adult, with only a couple legs and arms and stuff
this is PROBABLY the best you'd get, like, evolutionarily. natural adaption REALLY doesn't like having too many limbs or organs unless you can justify it through segmentation like a millipede or some shit
SO
since MI-GO are, on a cellular level, fungoid, they take grafting REALLY REALLY WELL
where you'd need to attach a million different connections of nerves and veins and arteries and muscles and everything for a faunal organism, the MI-GO's body can grow around it, redirecting circulation and nerves and growing all the proper structures to support it
which is FUCKING MASSIVE when it comes to bodily modification! you don't need to have an extensive cybernetic surgery that fundamentally alters your body if you want wings
instead, you just graft on a set of lab-grown wings, give it a couple weeks to make the proper connections, and then exercise with them enough to grow the muscles and muscle-memory you'd need to fly!
why specifically the mi-go? dunno! probably just using them as an example
Hera you are so on to something that i am DELIGHTED to inform you that Chaosium's A Time To Harvest campaign ALSO implied some of this!!!!

one neat eldritch cyberpunk setting detail that i think is pretty neat is that the mi-go are pretty brazenly pulling a V (probably more morena baccarin than jane badler) on earth
everyone knows why they’re so forthcoming with the borderline-magical medical tech and barely anyone gives a shit because:
fungal overlords would be a vast improvement on the current situation
they’re just that good at medical shit
they’re not remotely good at being alien invaders, at all; people are mostly pretending the spearhead is competent so they don’t feel bad
ironically, the fungi from yuggoth being the most cringefail invasion ever means they’ve completely succeeded at all of their war goals, chiefly, rendering earth entirely dependent on them

I find it hilarious that one of Delta Green's solutions to difficult mythos problems is just sicing their evil younger brother Majestic-12 on the problem. "FEEL THE WRATH OF THE MILITARY-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX AND THEIR OP ALIEN-TECH DERIVED TOYS!!!"

a threefer for today, would Cyth' Vsug have much of a following on Yuggoth? Secondly what Archfiends if any would have worshipers among the mi go or are they solely devotees of the GoOs and Outer gods? Also something which seems be happening with more frequency in the 7th Edition is Mi Go having cults devoted to them amongst humanity. With Pathfinder being the way it is especially in regards to worship is such cults exist how would becoming symbols of worship affect the "fungi"?
I feel like Cyth V'Sug would be a suitable patron for the Mi-Go, as would other archfiends related to fungus, infection, technology and expansion. Among daemons, I'd likely include Apollyon and Deceid as patrons, and devils would get Moloch and Barbatos. That said, I feel like such cults would be minorities compared to the Outer Gods and Great Old Ones. But pantheons have a way of expanding and incorporating new members. Like how there were Olympian gods but a lot of other divinities in Greek mythology.
As for the mi-go being worshiped themselves, one of two things could happen. Either the mi-go would act as a conduit for veneration to an appropriate Outer God (Sheol-Nugganoth is classically associated with them), or a new godling would be created through their efforts. Which seems like as good a backstory as any to fit the Elder Evil Ragnorra into the Pathfinder setting:
