I would love to see a Mi-Go, Yith or an Elder Thing, I just think they are So Shaped

I have been meaning to draw a Mi-go! looking up what others see em as, always assumed they were more a wasp, so in my design, tried to make it more crustacean and fungi looking c: Used oyster mushrooms for the "scales" of the back and more a mantis shrimp layout. ALSO! GLOOOW! Not a Mi-Go if they aren't flashing colors and saying something to you in Mi-Go! <3  *I bet it is thinking about Carmelldansen*

Here is finally day 6. While the good piece itself was finished relatively quickly and without any problems, the real mammoth task here turned out to be the actual title of the prompt, namely to add static and interference effects. It turned out on this occasion that GIMP doesn't have such a thing as a filter and I had to fiddle around for quite a while to make the handmade attempts look reasonably realistic :P Amongst many other interesting trivia, the Mi-Go are known for not being able to be captured by cameras. Based on this fact, I assume that if you try to record them, something similar happens to what happens when you try to record the good old Slenderman. Namely that the tape/device breaks. So what would be better suited for this prompt than these nice little animals :3

The other DanDaDan Oc, Elizabeth or El! She Is a Mi-go and Is a helper of Saint Germain, more like a secretary for him. They are bashful and scared of almost everything! She left her hive, trying to learn more about human. That meant war for the hive, so El Is hiding from them.

Okay, so I used to write short horror/Gothic/scifi stories (which I might post here soon), but anyway, I just thought of a story concept and I need to know if it sounds atleast somewhat interesting.

(A very rough and audhd concept i know needs polishing)

So, the main character is a test tube baby made specifically to be better than regular man through both some light cybernetics and genetic mutation. However, her parents try to raise her normal for a time. She reached young adulthood and was too sheltered that when she goes out into the loud scary world, she's overwhelmed and is having a hard time coping.

Suddenly an alien crashes in front of her/maybe it's just eating her trash, and she thinks it's a wild animal at first only knowing from TV and stories. So when she sees this 8 foot tall fleshy carapace bug humanoid thing she treats it kindly and feeds it. Soon she discovers it can change its form(I definitely wanna make it a visceral and graphic transformation, think animorfs but bloodier) she still can't do human speech but does learn sign language.

It's eventually revealed that The alien (I think I'm gonna call her Mixy) is on the run and hiding from the Mi-go (They are possibly my favourite sci-fi race, and they are public domain!) So now they both have to stay hidden and fight these highly advanced and decently intelligent xenos.

Only for the MC (I can't really think of a name, open to suggestions) to find out that she and her alien love interest arent so different in origin (yes, I had to make it gay! Sue me!)

Well? What do you, someone who totally read this far down, think? Should I pursue it further? Or does it sound too crazy? I'm open to suggestions! 😊

Looks like I also forgot to upload this one here. This is my own interpretation of Lovecraft's Mi-Go, with more inspiration from Ruthanna Emrys' description in her wonderful novel 'Deep Roots' than from Lovecraft's own texts, and also a hefty dose of artistic license.

i was thinking about Affini stuff and realized that a lotta what im trying to figure out would work better for something FUNGOID (more akin to Terran fungus) than for something FLORAL (more akin to Terran plants) or FAUNAL (MEAT), and the MI-GO fit that roll perfectly

the idea

your average MI-GO starts off as an awkward gestative mold that acts like a halfway between a slimemold and an egg, before it hatches out a gross little grub-nymph stage that eventually develops into an adult, with only a couple legs and arms and stuff

this is PROBABLY the best you'd get, like, evolutionarily. natural adaption REALLY doesn't like having too many limbs or organs unless you can justify it through segmentation like a millipede or some shit

SO

since MI-GO are, on a cellular level, fungoid, they take grafting REALLY REALLY WELL

where you'd need to attach a million different connections of nerves and veins and arteries and muscles and everything for a faunal organism, the MI-GO's body can grow around it, redirecting circulation and nerves and growing all the proper structures to support it

which is FUCKING MASSIVE when it comes to bodily modification! you don't need to have an extensive cybernetic surgery that fundamentally alters your body if you want wings

instead, you just graft on a set of lab-grown wings, give it a couple weeks to make the proper connections, and then exercise with them enough to grow the muscles and muscle-memory you'd need to fly!

why specifically the mi-go? dunno! probably just using them as an example
