Darius finally came down that tree y’all, lol 2 months later.

𝚁𝙴𝙲𝙰𝙿 (for those who don't know or just forgot lol): This is Prince Darius, he's a main character in first gen along with Xerxes, Anya, Phaedra, Etc. He’s also related to Drew, Rachel and Michelle—I’ve yet to reveal who he actually is to them….Anyways Darius and Xerxes are currently beefing-they hate each other to keep it simple. DARIUS over here said something rude to Anya (Xerxes lil sister) who has a crush on him, which made her cry. XERXES caught wind of this and decided to track Darius down to confront him on what he said to Anya. He (AND Phaedra) was able to find Darius sleeping on a tree and was basically yelling at bro to come down and catch these hands. After persistent yelling, Darius decided to come down the tree. He’s pissed however because Xerxes and Phaedra interrupted his nap- bro could seriously care less about weeping Anya💀

88. Somethings you should probably know.

WARNING! Some points may be controversial. So I advise you to not read it if you don’t like what I have to say. Everybody got that? Good. Then let’s begin.

I’ve based this on the opposite of what I’ve watched in police procedurals like law and order uk and blue bloods. As in. All the characters are beholden to the law. With very few exceptions. And even then it’s due to the statute of limitations. For example. They will always be taken off a case that they have a personal connection to. Like when Phaedra Wilkins is murdered in season nine. Just because no one likes the cow doesn’t mean they’re allowed to investigate.

I’ve tried to make Findlay Sullivan the opposite of a typical leading lady that you usually see on tv. For instance. She’s the heir to New York State. But she’s not a self hating socialite who feels the need to apologise for being rich. She’s not a tv feminist. She doesn’t believe that women should be excused for crimes they’ve committed just because they’re women. She’s much more likely to side with a man in an argument. She’s not a female misogynist. She just doesn’t believe that men are wrong by the simple virtue of being men. Essentially. She just doesn’t believe in the Unfair Sex trope. Away from that. She’s very happily married to her college sweetheart with three sons. And they never have martial problems related to the job because I’ve also averted the Wet Blanket Wife trope. It also helps that she’s basically his sidekick on investigations. She also donates her unneeded paycheque to charity every week. She’s a centillionaire. So why would she need it?

Since this is an alternate universe. Certain things have happened differently in this universe. For example. The Romanov’s are still on the Russian throne because the Bolshevik revolution never happened. The Windsor’s fell out of power in 2030 and were replaced by the Burtons who are Anglo-Indian Fae. By season seventeen the is throne filled by Reuben Burton and his wife Chantelle.

In this universe. Guns are meticulously controlled. The public is completely legally barred from owning firearms. If you’re a cop. You can apply for a license. It’ll take you a decade but you can apply. During which you’ll be thoroughly screened. Until then you’ll be partnered with a license holder. That is unless and until you learn magic. Then any application is shredded and your main focus is to learn defensive spells.

90% of drugs are legal and lot of the health effects have been lessened. The only ones still illegal are those created by mobs like the Carothers family. And that’s because they don’t toe the line with regards to safety precautions and protocols.

Of age, consensual prostitution is legal. If you’re 18 or above and you decide to engage in prostitution as a career path you are legally protected from arrest. If you’re a trafficker. Then you’re on the wanted list. It’s just that simple.

Another thing I like to try and focus on in this is fairness and unfairness within the law. As in. Sometimes doing the right thing means you get arrested. Ie. In season five Sidney has to arrest Godfrey Christensen (literally God himself) for drowning several child traffickers in their own blood. And a major subplot in season thirteen pertaining to a false rape accusation takes its toll on Findlay to the point she seriously considers quitting the precinct due to serval instances of purely rotten luck.

Democrats make up the majority of American government. Has been since 2008 when Michele Obama was elected. There is a slight hiccup in season eight when Martha Fuchs tries to take over the world. But that’s eventually dealt with and Bethany DuPont gets elected at the start of season twelve. And no. Before anyone asks. Melania Trump was NEVER President in this world. Instead the president from 2016 to 2020 was Chelsea Clinton. My world my rules.

The government in much, much, much, much more on the ball in this world. For example. Covid only lasted a year in this world because EVERYONE abided by and enforced the guidelines. And it all went much more smoothly.

And last but by no means least. The fancasts I use for the characters are done by way of Playing Against Type for example. I’ve used Aidan Gallagher as the fancast for Drummond Sullivan. Aidan is known for The Umbrella Academy. Five Hargreeves is well, Five Hargreeves. More of an antihero than anything else. And Drummond is the biological son of a mob boss and is one of the token evil teammates in the cast. His catchphrase is essentially threatening to Irish jig on people’s faces with his cloven hooves. He’s also primarily a carnivore So. There’s that. But you get the point. I apply the fancast to the opposite of what they’re known for. Wether it’s John C Reilly as the de-facto Big Good. Or Aidan Gallagher as a hyper violent maniacal satyr.

There’s probably more but that’s all I can think of right now. So. Tell me what you think?

WIP Thursday

i know this was supposed to be wip tuesday, but it got lost in my likes and i have been dead. anyway lol i was tagged by @themarcspector to talk about wip stuff. rn i don't have really an excerpt or anything because i'm on a break, but i do have some vague notes in my head about some of the characters from slasher, and what may be in store for them later.

this is a vague outline for a scene i was thinking about yesterday.

Some of the girls sit on the back porch smoking.

Roxanne: There's something wrong with this town.

Phaedra: I hear that.

Roxanne: It's like it's cursed. Rotting from the inside out.

Zelda: I'm from here you know.

Phaedra and Roxanne stare at her in surprise.

Phaedra: You're from here? Here? How?

Roxanne: Yeah, you seem weirdly well adjusted considering you live in like murder central.

Zelda: It's just a front, y'know, survival. If you act like nothing bothers you, nothing can touch you. But...I don't know how much longer I can do this.

Zelda looks down at her hands.

Zelda: Back in high school my girl...snapped. Her stepfather was abusing her and she just couldn't take it anymore. She dressed up in a clown getup, got a razor, and started carving up creeps all over town. It was in all the papers.

Roxanne: Jesus.

Zelda: She confessed to me, right before she got caught. Not because she felt guilty. But..I think maybe she thought if she didn't explain why, I would think she was a monster for what she'd done. That I'd stop loving her. Which I guess to her was worse than being locked up.

She's in the mental hospital now. I go visit her whenever I can.

Roxanne and Phaedra are crying. Mascara tears flow down their faces.

Roxanne: Oh God Zel...

Phaedra: Promise me something.

Zelda: What?

Phaedra: Promise me you'll get out of here.

Zelda goes to protest.

Phaedra: Promise me. Zel, you can't keep living like this. Your girl is not getting out any time soon, okay? You need to live your life.

Zelda: But I can't just abandon her!

Phaedra: Then visit! Fuck Zel, this place will kill you. You hear me? It. Will. Kill. You. You can't see your girl if you're dead!

Zelda storms off.

Phaedra covers her face with her hands.

Phaedra: Fuck...

Roxanne puts her hand on Phaedra's arm.

Roxanne: Hey, it's okay. Let her cool off for a while.

Phaedra: I'm just scared. For all of us. I keep feeling like something's on its way.

Roxanne stares off into the distance.

Roxanne: Yeah...me too.

so there's that. here's a little bit of backstory on the others:

- barbara, linda, sidney, lisa, and veruca are all from salvation, texas. (linda didn't really run in the same circle, so she didn't meet them until they ended up in the rental house at hell's gate u. the others were all on cheer squad together in high school. barbara and sidney decided not to do cheerleading in college, partly because they just didn't feel like doing it anymore, and because it would force them to spend time with lisa and veruca.)

- manny is from nyc.

- linda's family was possibly abducted by aliens.

- linda and janet met on a greyhound bus on the way to college.

future stuff:

- zadica's paintings try to come to life and kill people. (i just want to preface this by saying she and michelle leave after they graduate and zadica becomes an accomplished artist and michelle works in an art museum. so they'll be okay, i promise.)

- i haven't really figured out everyone's majors yet, but i think it goes:

Sidney - mechanical engineering

Michelle - art history (maybe?)

Zadica (Michelle's girlfriend) - studio art

Lisa - doctor (i know it's vague, i'm sorry)

Olivia - film

Ezzel zárom 2021 év összegzéseit, a 12 havi Traxelektor, kb 80 órányi zenei anyag javának szétválogatását, három kategória mentén. A harmadik válogatás a „Sense” nevet viseli, és döntően ambient, field recordings, trip hop, dub, abstract és experimental csodákat tartalmaz. Az előzőekben nem emeltem ki név szerint senkit, itt most kicsit felrúgnám ezt a szabályt. Ugyanis van pár alkotó, akik uralják a mezőnyt. Elsőként Shackletont kell kiemelnem, aki 3 művel 30 percet kapott, mindhárom a Top 12 albumok között dobogós Departing Like Rivers lemezen található, amelynek bozorgányos bűbájától nehéz szabadulni. A másik pedig a Tim Story irányítsásával, Dieter Moebiusnak szentelt különleges tribute, a Moebius Strips, amiről Eve Maret, Geoff Barrow (ex Portishead) és Yuri Suzuki átértelmezéseit hallhatjátok.
