i somehow just learned that all the hatchetfield stuff is set in michigan on lake michigan (i mean starkid was founded in michigan so i kinda get it) and as a michigander myself im really having trouble grasping that the the lords in black were summoned from fucking MICHIGAN of all places what a disappointment that mustve been for them just being summoned and seeing all the car weirdness and people just saying pop and how heckin haunted the lakes are and the horrific roads

also now that i know its set in michigan they shouldve used all the weird michigan slang i want the characters to have said things like pop (soda), party store (liquor store), michigan left (u turn), yooper (person from the upper peninsula of michigan), freeways (highways) (though they may have said this one and i had forgotten)

and i want them all to drink faygo and eat pasties or a coney dog

and i know it wouldve been horrible for theater but we all talk with heavy glottal stops here (win'er (winter) abou' i' (about it) and so on) and i think that wouldve been funny for them all to have spoken that way

i wanted them to say kyupohn (coupon) dammit
