Anyway, she's extremely beautiful and was an international star, doing a ton of movies in Italy before being recognized in the US.

Rules for submissions:

Submit a character from any piece of media who is sleepy! Being sleepy has to be a character trait. It doesn't have to be their main character trait, but it does a reoccurring one (not just a one-off trait in one episode)!

Being tired or "lazy" doesn't inherently make a character sleepy! A character being overworked or a character not wanting to work/trying to get out of doing tasks does not inherently make them qualify. To be sleepy, they must want to be asleep and might often be seem dowsing off. Sleepyhead behavior. Naptime is one of their favorite times. It's in their personality and characterization. That doesn't mean they can't ADDITIONALLY be overworked, tired, or "lazy", it's just not the only thing.

No character who are comatose / in "hibernation" / in a deep sleep. This includes Sleeping Beauty (she's not really a "sleepy" character, she's forced asleep; though if it's a adaptation of her character where she's a sleepyhead that counts).

No insomniac characters. This falls more into a tired character that isn't quite a sleepyhead.

No real people. That includes submitting yourself or your pet, as tempting as it is.

No fanon interpretations/fan characters/OCs/etc.

I reserve the right to reject character if they are from offensive media.

Be respectful! Most sleepy characters are lighthearted in nature, but real people with real chronic fatigue & illnesses do exist. So no referring to characters' sleepy behaviors as being "useless" or anything like that. Just be decent.

Welcome, one and all, to the very probably third or fourth ever betrayal bracket!

What is this bracket for, you ask? Simple! We're collecting all of the top 10 32? 48? 64? anime anything betrayals, and then pitting them against each other! All of your favorites. All of your least favorites. Love that guy? Send them in. Hate their guts? Great! Send them in anyways! However, before we get started, of course, we have to cover:

What counts as a betrayal?

A betrayal is, roughly speaking, any time a character acts against another character they claim to be allied with. A betrayal must be willful and conscious to count- if a character is under effects of mind control, being possessed, etc, they are not betraying anyone they act against. However, characters who have been manipulated into acting against their close ones do, for the sake of this bracket, still count- It is still them acting against their friends.

A character needn't be a villain to betray someone! If a hero or a protagonist infiltrates a villain group, pretends to be one of them, and takes them down from the inside, that is still a betrayal. Heroes can betray villains, villains can betray heroes, villains can betray villains, and heroes can betray heroes. Nothing is off the table here. Except, of course, for things that are off the table.

So what is off the table, then?

Any real people. This means the guy who scammed you on Animal Jam, the guy who said they would trim your armor on Runescape, any and all politicians, so on and so forth.

1a. If they're funny, I might consider it. What's funny? What's not funny? We'll see. As an example, though, I might be inclined to include, say, Brutus, of stabbing Caesar fame.

2. Spamming submissions. Just... don't. If you do, I'll steal your porch, ㅤokay?

3. Please, please, PLEASE when you're submitting someone, explain ㅤhow they have betrayed their allies. I live under a rock, so I most ㅤ ㅤlikely don't know. Yes, even that one. Yes, even the obvious ones. ㅤYes, even ones that are in my header. Thank you!

4. That's it! I might limit submissions from a single source if one ㅤㅤ ㅤsource has too many submissions, but for now I simply want to see ㅤwhat we can get!

How will the matchups be determined?

Great question! Matchups will be seeded by the amount of submissions each character gets. The characters with the most submissions will be pitted against those with the least submissions during round 1. This means that the first few rounds will largely be landslide victories, and not very suspenseful. However, it wouldn't be nearly as fun if Reigen vs Sans had been the first poll of the sexyman bracket, would it? We want the real competitions to come later, that's where all the suspense comes in handy!

Time to make the babes with different colored eyes fight! Currently not sure if I'll be doing a 32 or 64 character bracket, it'll depend on how many submissions I get. Please read the rules before submitting through the link provided.

Submissions Rules:

Fictional characters only, no real people. Characters played by real people are fine, but don't submit the actor please.

Only submit characters who canonically have heterochromia. Fan headcanons/designs are neat and all, but I want this to only be characters who actually have heterochromia in their canon designs.

No OCs please. I'm sure your characters are lovely, and I am giving them a little pat on the head but don't submit them.

All types of heterochormia count (central, sectoral/segmental, and complete).

Characters with temporary heterochromia are perfectly fine! By that I mean characters who have powers or an alternate form that changes their eyes, just so long as it is part of their canon designs. (examples: Kaneki Ken, Judai Yuki, Lelouch Lamperouge) If their eyes change color, but both eyes are the same color or their changed eyes are not multicolored, this does not count. (examples: Kurapika, Goku, shiny Pokemon)

Characters with prosthetic eyes that are heterochromatic are also fine to submit!

If a character's eyes are multicolored as a staple of the art style of what they are from, this does not count. See this post for a better explanation of what I mean by this.

You can submit multiple characters, but do not include more than one character on the form. Submit multiple characters using multiple forms.

Only submit a character once. Spam submissions will not be counted, and if they annoy me enough I might disqualify the character altogether.

Alright! No more mystery, we've got our list for the tournament!

For people new to this tournament, how this works is this: We narrowed our character list down from about 600 to 131 (it was gonna be 128 but we had three ties, so those have been reworked into three-character polls). The top 64 have been seeded into the bracket by number of nominations. The bottom 67 however, all got roughly the same amount of nominations, so those have been assigned places via random number generator, to remove any bias that I the poll runner may have about which characters I want to succeed

(I am so sorry if your obscure blorbo ends up against a super popular kid in round one, that's unfortunately the luck of the draw here, but I am keeping a record of characters that lose but whose fans fight the hardest for them, and we may do something with those kids later, so it's still worth campaigning for your faves!)

Welcome (back) to the world of firefighter-focused brackets! I've been gone for a little while, but I'm back (kind of) to open up submissions for...

The Firefighter Ships Bracket

Not unlike my first bracket on this blog, I'm planning on starting this bracket with 32 seeds - if I get enough submissions for different ships among a variety of fandoms, I might bump it up to 64 starting seeds. It will just depend on how submissions go. I'll keep this space updated if and when I know more! The submission form can be found here!

Rules:

Submissions will close on Saturday, May 27th at 12pm PST. It gives you almost two weeks to submit ships and me almost two days to seed the bracket and put things together before I go back to work after my trip.

I will be capping the number of 911/One Chicago/etc ships if it's necessary. It's going to depend on how many submissions each ship gets and how many other fandoms get represented - I just don't want one fandom taking over half of the bracket when other, smaller fandoms could get that spotlight instead

At least one (but not necessarily both+) members of the ship must be a firefighter or a paramedic.

The ships do not have to be canon, or even just pairings. I'll accept anything from pairings to OT3+, canon or hinted at. However - they must have some basis in canon. Two characters from different fandoms or characters who have never interacted don't work here. I'm sorry.

Be nice. This wasn't an issue until the final round of the first bracket, so I trust you guys to keep it civil again. As long as that's the case, anonymous will stay on for the inbox. However, after the mess of the finals round, replies on posts will be kept off. You're more than welcome to reblog and put your thoughts in the tags or in additional text on your own blog, instead.

Hi everyone! We will be announcing the character roster tonight!! Before that though, we wanted to outline some things to note!

Please note that a lot of characters who haunt the narrative are SPOILERS!! We will be posting a list of the media that are in this tournament where the characters might be spoilers shortly before the roster so you can block tags accordingly.

As a general courtesy, please be kind to us. So far, everyone has been really nice but we know that people can be rude to poll runners! We're doing our best!

When the polls start, please don’t be mean about the characters. People may get passionate about these types of things, but this is, ultimately, just a silly Tumblr poll and if I think you’re being overly mean, I WILL block you. This includes saying things like “why would anyone vote for x” or “you’re homophobic if you vote for y”. A lot of these characters mean a lot to people, so it can be hurtful to say these types of things, even in jest. There are ways to convince others to vote for your character without putting the other characters down!

Please note that if you ask us questions in the replies, we won't respond since this is a side blog. If you have any questions, please ask them through the ask box.

When the polls start, if you have any propaganda you’d like us to reblog, please tag this blog. It's harder for us to see propaganda without being tagged!

Please don’t send us asks about why a character didn’t get in. We had over 500 submissions and there were only 64 spots! However, I will list some possible reasons:

The reasoning didn’t provide enough information

The reasoning provided information that made us believe that the character doesn’t fit the tournament

There was another character from that series that we thought fit the tournament more, and we tried to minimize the number of characters from the same series in the tournament

They had less submissions so they were only considered later when there were fewer spots

A few general notes!

So I know it says "best siblings bracket" but I just want to remind/inform y'all that I'm not setting a singular definition for what "best" means in this case. It can be who you think has the better relationship (as in healthier) or the more interesting relationship or simply the dynamic you like more!

I've seen a few comments questioning the legitimacy of some candidates being in the bracket. There's several things that went into that. First, I'm personally not keen on limiting siblings to strictly biological or legal ones, as family is complicated at best. Second, for several of the more controversial picks (based on the tags I've read) are from shows that I haven't watched/finished yet so I was relying more heavily on the propaganda and things I read elsewhere (along with my own knowledge) to figure out if I should include them or not. This leads into my third thing which is, while this bracket has had the most submissions than any other bracket so far, it also had the least unique submissions since I started the 64 character brackets, as there were a lot of repeated submissions. This meant that if I wanted to do a full bracket, I had to be a bit more lenient in who I allowed in. Ultimately, that meant several edge cases got in, who might not have been in if there were more options for me to pick from. So I'll say what I've said from the very beginning, if you don't think a character (or characters in this case) deserves to be on here, campaign for the opposition!

My schedule at work this week is a lot more hectic and busy than it's been before, which means to expect some delay between rounds, as well as reposting propaganda or answering asks! Also apologies in advance for all the errors and typos I will make this week lol

Anyways this isn't in response to any particular thing, I just wanted to be a bit more transparent on things that are going on regarding this bracket. There's still plenty of time in Round 1, so get your votes in if you haven't yet!!!

If you would like to follow Ebony, @sonicuniversesmackdown is a tournament pitting the winners of 64 Sonic tournaments against each other, including this tournament! As Sonic Universe Smack-down (or SUS as I like to call it) can't begin until all of the tournaments have found their winners, it will be a bit until it begins, but you can give them a follow to make sure you see when they start

I'm also hosting another tournament, @bestfakesonicshowdown. The goal is to find the best Sonic copycat (think Metal Sonic, Scourge, etc.). If that sounds interesting to you, head on over! Submissions are closing Wednesday night, so get any entries in soon
