An oldie for sure. I made this months ago intending to match it with a short story titled “As Long As I’m Alive,” primarily featuring the sunset duo.

It was inspired by a moment I had with my very own little brother who had a nightmare. When I moved out I had given him all my stuffed animals and this particular night back home I told my brother I would use my magic powers to imbue a stuffy of his choice with the ability to protect him from nightmares and monsters. He happened to chose the stuffy that had been my favorite as a kid. I gave it the biggest squeeze ever, than handed it to him saying I would always be apart of it, followed by a big hug to my little brother as well. He’s been sleeping well ever since.

Than I had to wonder what my brother would think of such a toy if I died, and since turtles are on the forefront of my mind, and Cass Apocalyptic Series was actively raging, I had to make a silly drawing bringing the idea to life.

Perhaps one day I’ll write the fic. But for now enjoy the picture. A pictures worth a thousand words, right?

BEHOLD MY MAGNUM OPUS! Bro this took more than 2 months, in part because I was really busy IRL during one of those months, but even then this was a pretty large project for me compared to what I've done before. BUT NOW I'M FINALLY DONE! 😭 Save yourself, I'll hold them back is just such a Leo-coded song, especially if you include the whole bad timeline, I just had to make something rottmnt-related with it. I actually envisioned this at first as an animation, but I lack both the skill and motivation to animate so it became a lyric comic instead lol.
