the doxxing situation is crazy and really sad. it’s insane to me that someone took beef from tumblr so seriously. we all need to be kind to one another or there’s not going to be any fandom left!

love voulez-vous with all my heart, but it's a very challenging story to write! trying to get the decade right--which is more than just syntax but also like what has already been invented and what hasn't, what people are wearing, what people look like, the attitudes of people--is a challenge in and of itself, but then adding in the smut and angst? phew! I feel like I'm already giving my 100 to my novel, you know?

but maybe one day! I know I definitely want to finish it one day!

I don't know how far I'm gonna take this rewrite beyond outlines so I just don't wanna make any enemies i guess lol

DM Darling hosting special oneshots for all the player's bithdays, in particular for Hymn's they homebrew a world of re-skined tabaxis/cat hybrids and they even come to the session wearing cat ears, its a fairly normal setup until they get to their first bar/tavern to meet the Dm npc and instead of the typical aesthetic its in the style of a cutsey cat maid cafe and as darling reveals this they take off a layer of clothes revealing the maid outfit that was underneath

Hymn grins wider than you think you’ve ever seen them grin (a truly impressive feat given how emotive they are), Noe’s jaw drops and she can’t help but stare, Scott gets all flustered and starts spluttering about how “inappropriate this is, and that this establishment can in no way be considered a tavern—!” Even Millie, half-asleep with their head resting on the table, cracks an eye open to catch a peek of your cute lil outfit.

Also just thinking about everybody’s birthday one-shots is so cute 🥺🥺🥺 Noe’s would definitely be an adventure as a swashbuckling pirate crew or a “quest to save the royal heir (an NPC who’s very transparently you),” Millie’s would have to be an exciting heist, and Scott’s would. Probably not be very fun 💀

When traveling a lot of the time Vash, Wolfwood, Meryl, and Milly have to share rooms to cut down on the cost. Meryl and Milly are really good about it because they always share a room anyway, but Wolfwood and Vash were a bit grumbly about having to share a room with each other at first. They’d get into a lot of dumb arguments and fights (mainly over water/food, who could shower first, and who got which bed) but eventually they just got used to it, and half they time they’d be to tired to argue anyways.

Most of the time they’d be able to get a room with two beds, but when money was really tight they’d have to get a room with just one. The first time this happened Vash and Wolfwood argued over who would get the bed and who would sleep on the floor, but Meryl stepped in, said they were both being idiots, and could just share the bed and act like adults about it instead of arguing with each other like children. In the end Vash and Wolfwood gave in and just shared the bed, but there was definitely some complaining from both of them about either Vash taking up too much space and moving in his sleep or Wolfwood hogging the blanket and snoring. Eventually though, they got used to this too, and started getting one bed rooms at every place they stayed to save up on money. (That and because they both were more comfortable sleeping next to each other and being able to wake up and immediately tell the other was still there and safe made them both more relaxed)

At one point in there travels, even with all of their money pulled together, Vash, Wolfwood, Meryl, and Milly can only afford one single bed room. Being too tired to argue or really care, they just get a room with a big bed and try to make the best of it.

Vash and Wolfwood take one side of the bed and try to give the girls as much space as they can to be respectful, but in the morning it proves pointless because they all wake up in one big pile anyways. Meryl, Vash, and Wolfwood all seem to be embarrassed by this but Milly doesn’t mind, and talks about how it really wasn’t so bad and that she’d actually gotten really good sleep having known that Vash and Wolfwood were alright and hadn’t run off again.

They find they all found some sense of comfort knowing the others were safe and sound, and so every so often, when they were really short on money, they’d get one room for the four of them again. They did try to avoid getting just one bed though because it had been pretty cramped.

Even when they do get separate rooms, they try to get ones that are near each other and will often go and check on the others, or they’ll all hang out in one room before going back to their own to sleep. It makes them all feel more at ease and happy.

Because of this they all feel more comfortable around and safe around each other. They even get along better though Wolfwood and Vash still get into their petty fights and they both still manage to piss off Meryl (though it’s mostly Vash who does that.)

whoops!bob definitely proposes on your family's back porch on a random wednesday night. he's had the ring for a while, which everyone on earth except for you has seen. cyclone knows it's going to happen well before anyone else since bob went to him first thing. they definitely celebrated with scotch in cyclone's leather-bound home office.

your family leaves you and bob to it on the screened-in porch. it is a perfect night. it's warm, but not hot. the fan is churning sweet-smelling early summer air, which is really just the cut crocuses your mother has on the table and the citronella candle burning. you've already finished dessert, which was strawberries and cream. bob has some rare time off, which you suspect your father had something to do with.

the two of you stay outside for a long time, watching the sun sink. watching blue eat the world. he's stroking your hair and you're lying on his chest. his heartbeat is steady. everything about bob is steady. that's why you love him so much--he's fucking sturdy. steadfast. he knows right from wrong, he is moral to his core. bob will always do the right thing and you know this in your gut.

he waits until you've finished telling him about the book you just finished and then quietly says that something's been on his mind. you wait patiently, glancing up at him. he looks down at you, the girl of his dreams, the mother of his kittens, and grows teary. you sit up, concerned, a question on your tongue. but bob holds your hand and chokes out a hold on, sugar. you watch with your heart in your throat as he pulls the little velvet box from his pocket.

you know what it means. he knows you know. he opens it, even though it's unnecessary. you'd tie a piece of string around your finger if it meant marrying bob.

he has a whole speech planned but as he looks at you, already crying, yes written all over your face, all he can muster is, "we've just gotta."
