y’know generally i try to limit colour palettes to as few colours as possible to make things more cohesive but despite my best efforts only jay ended up being able to stick to that </3

he jingles when he walks. somehow he’s still stealthy. i do not know how

kept the platinum ring that bonded him to gillion in the block! because hey he doesn’t really have a reason to take it off (and it’s a nice reminder of how much gill cares about him, and how far their friendship has come since that ice arena)

his tattoos shift and flicker like actual flames, and sometimes (harmless, purely aesthetic) sparks fly off them when he’s excited

i just think smoke coming out of his mouth when he’s angry would be cool :]

he has scars from the red lightning, they’re just mostly contained to his back and shoulders. they’re a similar red to his coat even once they’ve healed

the tail sleeve thing is so he can rest it on the ground without damaging his scales, he doesn’t usually wear it when he’s just on the ship because the wood is soft enough that it’s usually fine + it can hinder swimming a bit. it’s mostly meant for places where there’s cobblestone or gravel streets and such. i think his armour would probably have a version that looks similar but covers the whole tail minus the fins, maybe with some armour plating of its own. i didn’t draw it because there wasn’t any room lol

his scars from the lightning are pink mostly because red stood out too much tbh. they softly glow in the dark the same as his coral and the pink parts of his fins

also kept his ring! his hands aren’t really made for jewellery, though, because the webbing means it won’t sit very secure on his finger. so he keeps it on the same chain as the necklace he got from aslana to keep it safe

tried to make him look a bit bulkier and more his age than in my original design? i feel like i was leaning too much into the naivety and. shortness. originally lol. he also has thicker eyebrows now and i’m still trying to decide how i feel about them but i think? i like it? i don’t tend to give many character thin eyebrows so it could’ve been a unique thing for him but alas

i think i made the sword too small but like ignore that

blue magic! i was considering gold but that’d look a bit more like a canary than i wanted for her wings so. blue jay :]

her hair is supposed to look kinda like fire to mimic her dad ! kinda showing that even if she runs from her family and the navy they’ll always be a part of her. and also i just like drawing messy hair

i gave her sturdier gloves just because i feel like it fits her better. also changed up the shirt to more of a button up solely because i don’t like tank tops very much LOL

i did WANT to make her outfit a bit flashier to match the boys better but i couldn’t quite figure out where to Put the flash. maybe that’ll come later, the way the story’s going i might get to design some cool prosthetics for her or something

because there’s just so many fucking colours i triiied to add at least one or two colours from each of them into the others designs. jay has her necklace with each of their main colours on it, her wings are the same blue as gillions eyes, her jacket and right eye are the same dark blue as destiny’s blade, her hair is the same orange as the lighter part of chips tattoos. chip has a dark green sash under all the belts, the same as the hilt of destiny’s blade. they all use the same shades of black, gold, and brown

the only real exception is gillion doesn’t have anything from the other two because he has Such a specific colour palette and he already had so much going on as-is orz jay was obviously the easiest to do this with because she has both warm and cool colours in her palette by default lol (and i did her design last, so that helps)

Propaganda why Aang is insufferable:

He has some very bad ideas that the narrative never explores and gets rewarded by the narrative for bad behavior.

Mostly just the way he deals with his crush on Katara and kind of forces it on her. It’s honestly really shitty because she never truly reciprocated his feelings and had plenty of moments where she shows she’s just trying not to hurt his feelings with a straight up rejection, but ends up with him in the end just because that’s what he wanted.

Like we know what it looks like when Katara actually has a crush on someone, she wouldn’t let the situation like the war affect how she feels about demonstrating those feelings when she’s so in touch with them. Like how she was with Jet and Haru. I just wish the writing team did a better job of showing Katara developing feelings for Aang way better than they did lol.

Made a series that was otherwise reasonably tolerable impossible to watch. I hate that all the jokes written for his character target 8-year-olds exclusively. Also his little TV show keeps appearing on my dash no matter how many words I block and I hate it

Propaganda why Gregory is insufferable:

This boy is so poorly written, it hurts. In the gameplay, he just acts annoyed and pissed off the whole time. Then, in the endings, he becomes a whole other character who acts scared and sad, which does not match the previous hours of gameplay AT ALL

But that just annoyed me

What really made me hate him was the GGY and Robot Gregory stuff, because OH NO, Gregory could not just be a normal kid who got into this situation by chance, he has to be a robotic recreation of the Crying Child, despite not acting one bit like CC, or, according to the GGY story in the books, he's responsible for multiple murders and is Afton's/the Mimic's apprentice.

Just let this kid be fucking normal!

(Also, unlike a lot of people, I really enjoy what the Ruin DLC did to his character. And don't try to say that's still the mimic, the mimic recycles dialog from the main game. This Gregory uses completely unique dialog, and unless the mimic was able to form new words in his voice all of a sudden, that's still him. He had to make a tough decision, one life or over hundreds and I can respect that)

Suffers from being made into another one of Matpat's ""is actually a robot theory"". It is annoying as hell, especially if its canon. We do not need robot children theories in a game about possession, child murder and serial killers. Especially not dumb theories about him being a 'recreation' of someone with a completely different personality. It has completely ruined any enjoyment I had in that character because we're just going back to the Afton family again

Someone made a good point about how his personality seems to be reminiscent of a certain trend where a video game protagonist has to be snarky even though it would’ve worked better for the horror atmosphere if he was more scared because it would’ve made the player feel his fear. I recall people being surprised about his personality and expecting him to be more scared, and I assume the developers were just afraid of ppl calling Gregory “whiny”, but it still feels like a missed opportunity

More Ouran redesigns!

Below the cut, listen to me ramble about the art choices I made in the redesigns, please. (Honey, Yasuchika, Kasanoda, Renge)

+A little sketch of Haruhi & Tamaki 😊

I redid Honey's because I was so unhappy with the first version, but I like this one a LOT more. He kinds of looks like an idol, but I'm not mad at it lol

The main thing I don't like about the canon design of Honey is that he looks like a literal child (wow new idea alert) and somehow in my first redesign I didn't get rid of that problem?? And I just didn't like the way that one turned out art-wise.

So! This time, I made his face a lot less round and decided to give him shorter hair in a more natural/ash blonde color. Instead of going full l*lita, I was aiming more for "soft boy" & I spent a good minute just coloring his eyes so they look pretty magical (or a bit creepy, I can't tell lol) but I wanted him to have long pretty lashes. Also, I added a little scar on the bridge of his nose to hint at his hidden violent side

Anyway, Yasuchika!

I always felt kind of bad for him (for that one episode that he appeared lol), so I wanted to lean into the fact that he's kinda bitter Honey left the Judo club but still admires him a lot.

I had to remember what he looked like first, but I actually really like his design in the manga so its practically the same lol. The hair is slightly different though. And, it's subtle, but his hair is bleached here as a tiny nod that he wants to be more like his brother, though he didn't go full blonde. And since their hair and eyes are different, I now headcanon that they have different moms, because I can and it tugs at my heartstrings for some reason.

Now, Kasadona's and Renge's were done kind of a while ago, so the art is marginally worse imo, but anyway

Onto Kasanoda!

Another character that I always loved and felt sad about! This time he has two episodes, I think.

Since it's important to his character, I had to keep him looking scary, but that doesn't mean I couldn't make him look sad too! I love aiming for subtle expressions lol, I remember this one was really fun.

I can't tell you why I made his hair wavy/curly, I just wanted that, but those little shaved bits at the corners of his hairline were very intentional; it's meant to kind of mimic devil horns just to solidify that he's seen as kind of evil and whatever. And his eyes! I think that blizzard nickname/reputation (i can't remember) is really unique, so it exaggerates his cold glare.

(Trying to avoid saying 'kind of' so much, jeez)

Last up, Renge!

She also kind of looks like an idol, mostly 'cause of the pose and little sparkle, though. And oddly enough, I really didn't like her when I was originally watching the show (thought she was annoying lol) but I kind of adore her now because..

This girl is a nerd, she's silly, she's a cosplayer, a complete madwoman, and girl boss! (Character-wise, I only really take issue with the 'fuj*shi' 'y*oi stan' part, so that's cut for my version) But I really wanted to show that more fun, adventurous part of her, so she has pink dye on the underside, with her hair pulled into this big red bow.

I don't have many thoughts on her past what I already said, she just deserves to be cute and have fun. But I do think she should be in on the secret that Haruhi's a girl, and they should be good friends, the show is just lacking in girl friendships. (Excluding the Zuka club, they're full on lesbians and the show portrayed them so weirdly imo.)

MINORS DNI

I can't draw digital to save my life, so I made my monster!Poppet oc Kalix, traditional. (I have been diagnosed with Vinnel brainrot, there sadly is no cure. Also I didn’t make this species, its heavily based off of a creature from game I used to play called a Kivarok)  Their main fur color is black, with the shaded in parts being a really really dark purple. Their horns and claws are orange with a yellow gradient at the top/end. Similarly, their diamond patterns are orange, and get more yellow that further they are away from their torso. They have 7 white eyes on each side (on the front view i forgot to add one pair you did not see that, nothing is wrong :'))) ) that they can close individually. Will usually close all but their two main ones to not look 'weird' or have people feel like they're staring at them. Kalix's eyes also don't usually have pupils, but they consciously make pupils so that, along with their exaggerated body language/movement, speech, and gesticulation, their emotions can be read more easily while masking in public. Pupils are orange. The first three diamond patterns on Sir are eyes, one being a light yellow color, and the others becoming white. Their eyes / horns / patterns / claws have a slight glow. Has four arms in total. (maybe one day i'll have the urge to try and draw on ibis paint) Kalix's blood is orange :). They also have a mouth on their main head, but really really don't want to scare people they want to be friends with, and keeps it closed and hidden for the most part. They are 6'0 because I wish I was tall :').

I've been completely obsessed with @eldritch-spouse's universe for the past few days and just had to make this. (Named them this purely because the word makes my brain happy) They are a young adult monster, who suffers from loneliness brain damage! With symptoms that are very similar to ADHD. They forget what day of the week it is often, forget words mid conversation, and have a shit short term memory. Often forgets to eat and has a habit of not eating until their tail-head starts to nip/chew (omnomnom) at them. Will constantly loose things, even if they are currently holding said thing in their paw. Brings noise cancelling earbuds around and wears gloves because they are touch averse. Usually has one part of their body moving, leg bopping, playing with their fingers, etc. (heavily projecting here lol, they just like me fr) Are a residual hermaphrodite who flip flops between sex depending on temperature/season (has a slit covered by their fluff) and goes by all pronouns. Demi ace/aro (hahaha slowburn + oblivious to their own feelings, have fun with that Vinnel). Has a hard time understanding sarcasm and understanding their own feelings.

Kalix's tail has been named "Sir" as they thought the word was cool. They usually eat / drink using their head-tail. Sir is Kalix's subconscious/lizard brain, though they don't seem to realize that themself, thinking the tail-head as more of a sibling/pet. (and example for the subconcious/lizard brain thing being, Kalix stubbing their toe, wincing and making a joke, Sir whimpering and getting teary like the crybaby they secretly are) They can consciously control Sir for about 30 minutes before a headache starts cracking open their skull (usually their species would be able to do this all the time, but shhh don't tell the poor child, they'll cry). While talking through Sir, Kalix can mimic many many sounds / voices. It would honestly be easier to list what they can't mimic than what they can. They do have a tell though, as when they speak through Sir, they have a slight whisper echo. Also sadly because of brain injury, they can't cut off Sir's senses from their own. Wagging their tail super fast like a dog when excited / to stim will leave make them super dizzy. Sir also has a taste for human/monster flesh :))) Has some other abilities, like being able to store stuff in their shadow (they do this more often and don't get nauseous from it unless they try to fit a bigger object inside. Kalix usually makes it look like they're pulling stuff out from their chest fluff becuse i thought that would be silly), make shadow apparitions for a limited amount of time, wrap themselves in shadows to hide or stalk their 'prey', and if they really push themself, they can teleport through shadows (within a certain range etc.) at most two times a week. They feel nauseous and get headaches after this, and using their power too often/long or trying to store large objects will make them violently ill. (won't stop the dumbass from overusing their abilities to pull pranks on The Clergymen though) Has little physical strength (for a monster at least), although they can jump pretty high when spooked (hehe get it? halloween pun :> also foreshadowing~) Speaking of Halloween, it's one of Kalix's main hyperfixations. Their hyperfixations include: Halloween, (and by extension) candy making, horror book reading, driving (although ironically if Kalix is a passenger they get extremely car sick), juggling (picks this up after they see Vinnel do it and realize 1. its a fun way to stim and 2. they have four arms. they are terrible at first), baking (which is kinda funny cuz they cannot cook for shit), insect related stuff, (piss poor) sewing, and drawing (they usually like to draw stuff with the combination of gore and plants).

Always has candy corn on them (or it seems that way, it’s just in their shadow. Kalix likes how it looks like they can just summon candy corn out of nowhere).

Also do not let them drive. They will turn it into a car chase. Somehow. (They just like slamming into the cars chasing them and showing off their drifts and sharp turns) They work as a party planner / decorator and will practically beg on their knees to Admin to help decorate for the holidays, especially Halloween. (Admin will have to wrangle them during other holidays to make sure Kalix doesn’t start making them Halloween themed as well...

”Decorate your own apartment Easterween themed, Kalix...” cue Admin’s signature tired eye roll as Kalix gives the smaller human puppy dog eyes) After they learn The Clergy has rent able rooms, they'll definitely start living there. Kalix's room will be completely Halloween themed all year long. They'll also ask Admin if they can help out around the Clergy / help them (Kalix feels bad for Admin and all their responsibilities, but also thinks they're amazing for being so focused and hard working)

Kalix is a complete virgin, having not even touched themself because again, they see Sir as a ‘pet’ or sibling sort of, only that Sir is attached to them. Kalix always chalks up Sir’s similar reactions to them as both them and Sir having grown up together.(if this sentence makes sense? basically they chalk up Sir having similar reactions to how they feel inside to just them growing up being attached to each other) Also them denying full heartedly that they are a crybaby and that they like the taste of human/monster flesh. To be honest, after a few months of being around Kalix, The Clergymen will probably pick up on Sir being more connected to Kalix than the oblivious lizard (idk why but my nickname for them is lizard despite them looking like some lizard/cat/owl/spider mix. it just fits. also all the picures of cute dumb little geckos connect with Kalix in my mind) realizes. Although Kalix sure as hell won’t realize themself, and won’t have any kind of sexual interaction with anyone while under the impression that Sir is a pet. Someone’s gonna have the explain the them eventually or Vinnel might somehow go even more insane.  (is a sadist masochist switch with a gore kink, though it'll take alot for them to admit it (or it would have if not for Kalix's first meeting with Grimbly and realizing they did not want to be a daddy/mommy/partner to the little dude, just a friend) Oh, and before i forget. Kalix unironically eats the most burned, charred, barely edible, can-barely-be-considered-food stuff. Completely unscathed. And they like it. They will eat coal (burning or not) in front of people occasionally to see their confused/grossed out/horrified reactions / to assert dominance. They're Vinnel's poppet for a reason :))))

They lived most of their life alone and when they were gracefully given a year long vacation by their warden, Kalix decided to try and make friends by integrating themself into human society. (Most others where they live avoid them/are afraid of them or occasionally someone will pity them but Kalix really dislikes that and would rather be ignored.) They stumbled upon The Clergy's Eye while stuck in a daydream / thought loop of how they were going to make friends. Going over the persona they had crafted (aka how they were going to mask the anxious, lonely, self conscious, and quiet crybaby they really are) and generally practicing conversations in their head. They were trying to go to the town's most popular bar, but ended up walking into The Clergy's Main floor / bar area (if im not mistaken). Kalix is just about able to handle being around Santi’s / and others pheromones due to years of exposure therapy (not a demon of my sort, will make sense in next post i prommy). (Ima make another post about how they met the TCE staff for the first time because this is hella long, thank you so much for reading if you made it this far. I hope you enjoyed my super self indulgent skrunkly child. I also left some stuff out that I really want to show via my writing later on :D)

A small Tales of Symphonia fanfic about one last talk between the main characters, right before they split paths and pursue new objectives. (with Zelos as 1st person narrator lol)

Mostly based on the game ending, but also inspired by the anime and manga versions, with a bit of sprinkled headcanon.

Lloyd and Colette rejoins the group bringing the news about the Summon Spirit Martel and the promise they made. Before anything else, though, the exhaustion of the recent events finally catches up to the party and they choose to have a quick rest before saying their goodbyes.

I betrayed them. Pronyma took Colette with her, leaving me behind to fight. Of course, I lost. I knew I would lose. I end up in Lloyd's arms, somehow. Eh, how embarassing. I get to have one last look on everyone, at least. But something surprises me; they don't look disappointed, nor disgusted, not even angry. They're sad. Sheding tears for someone like me? Heh. That's just like them. Slowly, the world fades around me. Then, I wake up. It's late afternoon, the last of sunrays arriving at our camp. Oh, right. We just saved the world or something, huh? I sit up and find that I'm not the only one who fell asleep. Lloyd is snoring without a worry in the world. Colette is next to him, looking like a resting angel. Then, there's Genis, who looks like he cried himself to sleep. And Raine is right beside him, with an arm over him. Sibling love... Over there there's Sheena and Presea, leaning on a tree. Maybe they fell asleep while talking? How cute! And finally there's Regal, sleeping while sitting down, judging me-

"So you are awake, Chosen."

"So are you. Standing guard, I presume?" He nods. "Man, you never take a break, do you?"

"I can't really rest when the end of our journey isn't here just yet. We're about to face new ordeals along with the consequences of the world unification, after all."

"No! Don't remind me of it, please. I lend a hand to you guys only to find more trouble! I just had enough of that reponsability stuff!!"

"Oh, shut up, idiot chosen! I can't sleep with that annoying yapping of yours!" Sheena joins in, as delicate as ever. I can't help but smile back to her.

"You just can't ignore this sweet voice of mine, is that what you're saying?" I evade a surprise seal attack. Regal is unfazed by our exchange.

"I understand being the chosen must have been a burden as much as a benefit. But now that mana flows equally to both lands and the world regenaration cycle was broken, your title may as well change its meaning." Regal says as he brings his hand to his chin. "Perhaps it's your chance to forge your own path."

"Who knows. Despite everything, being 'The Chosen One' has its charm." I quickly change subjects. "When are you going to get rid of those, by the way?" I mimic his handcuffed arms pose. He seems to find it amusing enough to smirk.

"When the time comes."

"But we defeated Cruxis, right?" Ah, Presea must have awakened with all the commotion. "You- we fulfilled our promise to Alicia."

Regal shakes his head. "Not completely. I still have to do my share to free the world of the Exspheres for good. I'm sure my position will be of great value to aid Lloyd's quest of doing so."

"Still, you don't need these anymore, really." Sheena says as she stands up and approaches Regal. She rests her hands on her hips. "I mean, isn't about time for you to turn the page?"

"I agree with Sheena. After everything we passed through, we're all going to start over somehow."

"Listen to the ladies, Regal. They're concerned about you~"

Regal sighs. "So all of you believe I should let go of the past."

Sheena ruffles her hair, probably trying to find the right words. "It's less about forgetting the past and more about looking foward the future, you know?"

"You had enough punishment." Regal lift his eyes to Presea as she speaks. "Free yourself at once so you can start paying for your mistakes properly." Regals looks pensive for a moment.

After a deep breath, he clenches his fists and *clank!* Moving his arm in opposite directions, he breaks the handcuffs like it's nothing. What the heck.

"Woah!" Sheena eyes widen. "I was thinking of asking Lloyd to lockpick it for you, but that works too." She starts laughing.

"That was impressive." Presea soft expression says otherwise, but we know she meant it.

Someone starts clapping. "You're amazing, Regal!" Colette has also awaken, just in time for the show.

"There's nothing amazing about it." Regal blushes with all the attention. A rather funny contrast, a man of his build to act so bashful.

"Ah~ Is anyone else hungry?" Colette stands up and starts walking towards us. "I was thinking of making some snacks-" Presea tries to warn her right away. "Colette, look out!" Too late- she trips on Genis and falls over him and Raine. A sequence of surprised and painful interjections ensues.

"I'm sorry!!" she squeaks. I quickly move to give her a hand.

"Are you okay, Colette-dear? What about you, Raine-hun?"

"I'm great, thanks." Genis answers instead.

"Yes, I'm sure you are." I get a mean-look in return. I shrug and he rolls out his eyes, only for them to meet with Presea's, who was right next to him. He drops back.

"Did I scare you?" She tilts her head.

"N-not at all! Aha- ahaha!" She extends her hand to help him stand, which he hesitates to accept for a second. Oh, c'mon, Genis! She cartoonishly lifts him back to his feet. "T-thanks." He brushes the dirt from his pants and looks around. "Is everyone up?"

"Almost." Raine points at Lloyd, fast asleep, totally unaware of his surroundings.

"Leave it to me!" I say as I raise my hand. I crouch next to him. He's drooling. Can you believe it? He's the guy who can lift anyone's spirit, who endured some crazy journey of trial and error and choose to follow a rocky path with a smile in the face...

"What are going to do?" Colette asks in antecipation.

"Shh!" I reply to her, playfully making a gesture asking for silence.

Anyway, everyone's up, it's about time he join us too. I pinch his nose with my thumb and index finger. One, two, three... He opens his eyes and get up away too fast, our foreheads meet. Ouch!! Okay, I guess I deserved it.

"Uugh! Zelos, what are you doing!?" Everyone bursts in different degrees of laugh.

"Hopefully not too much." Wishful thinking, I know.

"We can use the rheairds to scout the area around and see if there's any villages near us."

"Okay, I'll go with you! If we need to, I can use Luna to light our path back!" Raine nods in response. "Stay safe, everyone, we'll be back soon."

"I'll gather firewood before it's get too dark."

"I'll go with you, Presea!"

Genis and Presea also leave us.

"Eeh, I guess we'll end up camping tonight, after all." I let out a sigh. I'm not very thrilled with the idea. To be honest, I wish I could just arrive home and drop on my bed. Maybe sleep for a week or two. Now that's a plan.

"Then I'll start doing the snacks!" Colette on other hand looks very excited. She interrupts my daydreaming. "Can you give me a hand, Zelos?"

"So you recognize my cooking talents, dear Colette?!"

"Hm! I would love if you helped me with the tea. You always make it so tasty!"

"You know, I think it wouldn't hurt to start planning dinner too." Lloyd joins the cooking party.

"Let's organize our stash and see what else we can cook for everyone."

"Oh? Our star chef, duke Bryant, will also help?"

"S-star chef?"

"Zelos is right, your cooking skills are something else! But you still can't beat up Genis' skills." What a loyal friend.

"Alright, let's get started!"

On Colette's command, each one of us started doing what we did best in cuisine. Which means my duty was to brew some tea. It doesn't sounds like much, does it? But, you see, a life of luxury will make one lazy. If I wanted tea, I could just order someone to bring it to me in a silver plate and a fancy cup. I only ever lifted a finger when there was no choice. Anything I considered trivial was out of my mind.

It's kinda of a lame way of life, isn't it?

"Lloyd! Look! Look!!" Colette points out at the opposite side of the sunset, in awe. "It's 'Tethe'alla' and... Sylvarant?"

Look at that, indeed. We have two moons now!

"After the Derris-Kharlan mess, that's a more welcome addition to the sky, isn't it?" You bet, Lloyd. It feels like it was only yesterday. Except the comet was still there earlier today. Menacingly haging over our heads. Yeah. I really need a vacation after all of this.

"It's a beautiful view." Fitting comment, Regal always striked me as a romantic.

We go back to the current task at hand: dinner. As we are entertained with the meal preparation, time slipped by. Presea and Genis are back. I was expecting either Presea bringing back a entire tree trunk or Genis carrying more weight than he should to impress her; but my comical imagination was betrayed by a more grounded scene of them holding just a bunch of twigs and sticks each. I still have to hold my laugh and hope no one notices.

"Welcome back!" Colette cheerfully greets them.

"Raine and Sheena aren't back yet?"

"No, not yet." Lloyd offers them fruit sandwiches in handkerchiefs. "I'm sure they won't mind if we start ahead!"

"Isn't better to wait for them?" Colette doesn't fully approve eating without everything reunited, even though she seems the one who was most antecipating the sweets.

That's just how she is. She cares too much about the others, and that's something I learned as soon as she got her voice back. At first, I attributed her nature to the fact she's the Chosen. But so I am. We held the same fate, yet we were opposites. This certainly made me a little bitter. Was it jealousy? Was I jealous of how dedicated to her role she was, how she never complained? How she was so strong and so selfless? I was wrong, though. She was afraid and struggled with her destiny too. What made her endure all of it was her love. The love for her family, for her friends, for her world... She thought it was worth it. That's what she told me. And because she wasn't alone, she also started to fight for her own sake too.

Instead of jealousy, I came to admire her.

"The tea will get cold." I hand over a cup to Colette, who end up accepting it. "They'll be here soon, I'm sure."

"Oh, are you worried about them, Colette? Raine is cautious and has a good direction sense, they'll be fine! Now, if it was Lloyd and Sheena instead, I would be worried too."

"What was that!?" Lloyd ruffles Genis' hair in response.

"Nooo~! Stop it!" Free again, he starts tyding up his hair back to its original state. "I mean, you two are kinda alike, so..."

"Hey, now that's going too far! Sheena isn't even here to defend herself." I agree with Genis, but standing up for a woman is a gentleman's job. Lloyd doesn't take it too well and sends me a threating stare. Oh, no, not my hair!

Fortunately, I'm saved by the bell- we can hear the rheairds' engine sound getting closer and a light shortening its distance from us. The girls are back!

Sheena give us a quick report.

"We found an area very similar to the outskirsts of Mizuho to the north! But since it's dark already, we decided to come back before exploring any further. We should go that direction first thing tomorrow."

"Oh, you guys made dinner already? If I knew I would have come sooner to help." Says the person who can mess up frying an egg in the most creative ways possible. Which is very intriguing. Raine is a very mature and rational woman, but even her has her quirks.

Well, hanging out with everyone for so long, it was bound to happen that I would start seeing more facets than any person usually shows. I spent a lot of time observing. I did join them as a spy, to begin with. To think I had no intention of getting too involved or anything. And now... We're all friends! The irony.

Or maybe I'm getting too ahead of myself. Not too many hours ago I was this close to ditch everyone. I'm sure they haven't fully forgiven me just yet (as they should).

Then what am I doing sharing a warm meal with everyone?

"Say, now that we have settled with the most urgent business... What are you guys doing next?" Everyone looks at each other, waiting to see who will answer Sheena first.

"I'll go to Meltokyo to meet up with His Majesty." I start, because why not. "We have lots of thing to talk over, after all."

"I have to get ready for my next journey! But before that I'll pay a visit to dad and K-" Lloyd chokes up in the middle of the sentence.

"Lloyd, are you okay?!" Colette rubs his back.

"Don't eat and talk at the same time!" Genis seems to be familiar with the scene.

"Ahem! I want to get rid of the Exspheres and I don't know how long that'll take, so the sooner I start, the better!"

"You're always so restless. But I feel the same. I'll go back to Iselia for a while to plan my trip with Genis. The world may look different now, but there still many things that need to be changed."

"Raine..." Genis plays a bit with his food, lost in thought.

"I'll go with Lloyd!" Colette and Lloyd smile to each other. It looks like something they decided beforehand. Look at them, it's like they live in their own little world.

"I want to go too!" Oh? "Let me accompany you, Lloyd!"

"Of course, Genis!"

"I expected you would want to go along with them." Genis opens his mouth to say something, but Raine continues. "There's no rush for us, just do what you think you need to do."

"Right! Thank you, Raine!"

"And since you three will be absent for who knows how long, I'll prepare some material for your studies in the way."

"Say what!? Professor, we still get homework!?"

"Lloyd, you should know by now I won't let you education to go unfinished! It's my duty as your teacher to see you with the basic knowledge fully covered!"

Lloyd just sighs, his two childhood friends patting his back in solidarity.

"...I intend to take up the reins of the Lazareno company once again and set things straight as soon as I can."

"I also have some work to do back in Mizuho. But hey, now we all live in the same world, we can still visit each other anytime!"

"...I wonder what I should do." Presea whispers. Aw, man. That's right. Out of everyone here, she's the only one who really has nothing to return to. Even though I don't have a "home" either, I still have a place to go back. And I have my sister, even if she doesn't want anything to do with me. Or at least that's what I wanted to believe. Well, being a Chosen won't matter soon enough and she'll be free. Might as well give her a tour of the outside world...

"Presea, would you like to come to Altamira with me?"

"Ah! Well, I..."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to impose. I only believe that this is the least I can do for you, even if it's just a temporary alternative."

"To be honest, I don't know what I'm supposed to do."

"Then try thinking from another angle. What do you want to do, Presea?"

She ponders for a few seconds. She can choose now. Maybe this fact still didn't fully come to her.

"I see. There's many things I want to do, actually. The first thing I want to do is to visit Alicia to let her know of everything that we went through and that will continue moving foward. I also wish to rebuild Ozette in the future, this time to be a village that welcomes anyone, humans, elfs and half-elfs alike. And if possible, I want to help with the Exspheres issue too."

"There you go. There's a long way to achieve some of these goals, but you have all the time in the world now."

"Yes, I do. I'll accept your offer, then. Thank you."

"Just do things at your own pace and you'll be fine!"

"That's a very you advice, Lloyd." Genis teases.

"Is that so? Haha!"

"I don't think that was a compliment." Sheena read my thoughts.

"You can count on us, Presea!" Genis cheers her up.

"You're not alone anymore." Collete adds as she grabs both Presea's hands, like an assurance of her presence.

"If you ever get tired of the old Duke Bryant, feel free to drop by my house, okay?"

"Really? You really are hopeless."

"C'mon, don't twist my intentions, Sheeeenaaa!"

"Thank you all, truly." Presea gives us her beautiful smile.

Now, that's a good question. What I want to do. What I want still hasn't changed, I think.

"Okay, whose turn is it to wash the dishes again? Zeeelos?" Ack! Is that the brat's way of punishment for before?

"I'll help too!"

"Don't spoil him, Colette." You don't spoil the moment, Lloyd!

"Fine! It'll be faster if I give hand too, right?"

"You guys are making me look bad..." Genis joins the cleaning in the end.

"Aw, all the kids are volunteering." Raine, you're just one year older the me...!

Before I know it, the service is done, and we're all ready to take a long nap. Or so I thought. I find myself stargazing. I often did it back home too. I would slip out of the bed in the middle of the night and go up on the roof. Being surrounded by the night sky makes me feel small. At times like this, I would just embrace the void, but my mind is too busy to wander.

Out little adventure is over now. Everyone has set to do something, now there's only me left to decide. I could just go back to my life. All my hunnies must miss me so much~ They're probably lonely without me. Yeah, right. Ha ha!

I get it now.

I'll miss them. I'll feel lonely without them.

It can't be helped, though, our little group will soon be disbanded. What should I do now? Maybe I could mirror Regal and Sheena, and put my status to use. Maybe I could do like Raine and Presea, and take my time to plan out my next steps. Maybe I could go right back to action like Lloyd, Colette and Genis. Or maybe I should be more original. Whatever I do, it'll be what I want to do. That sounds good enough.

I close my eyes.

Slowly, the world fades around me.

Lloyd gives his dad, Dirk, one final hug before leaving home. He has already given his farewell to his father and mother beforehand, each one now existing in their own unreachable distances.

Right next to the exit, Colette and Genis are waiting for him under a tree shade, with their rucksacks and bags all ready for the trip.

"'Morning, guys! Are you ready?"

Two figures appear from behind, whispering a gentle "boo" in unison. Lloyd lets a shriek out of surprise. He quickly turns around.

"Hey, bud! We're all ready to hit the road!"

"You really didn't notice us? Well, I'm ninja, but still..."

"Z-Zelos and Sheena?!" Colette and Genis just giggle- they were already aware of their presence. "What are YOU doing here?"

"Well, you see... We're here on behalf of the king, as messengers from Tethe'alla. Rejoice in the presence of the Great Chosen One and the Gorgeous Chief of Mizuho!"

Sheena hits Zelos with her elbow. He bends a little from the pain.

"You'll go around all over the globe and stuff, yeah? That works perfectly for us."

"So we are travelling together again...!"

"For the time being, yep. But don't get too used to it, or else when we do separate our ways, I'll cry."

"You, crying?" Lloyd looks perplexed.

"Of relief, of course." Zelos smirks. Lloyd chases Zelos around.

"Good to see they're so full of energy." Sheena sighs.

"And here I thought we would have a peaceful trip." Genis shakes his head.

Colette thinks back to when she started the Journey of Regeneration. This is different. It won't be easy either, but she's not worried. Her heart feels light and more hopeful then ever.

Hrrrrg -_-. Oh look, it is you, with your boss x servant ships (lmao look WHO is talking fsjdhfhds) Okay, let's see what I think of the two... I main Annalise x her dead King, but let's say an alternative take when the previous one was not that big of a deal + L + arranged anyways.

🌑 In my thing, the four would kinda be friends since they were kids - Annalise, Maria, Crow (Eidinghardt) and King (Elisabeth/Elias)! Or at least, forced to interact due to the status and bloodlines shenanigans. Whereas Eidin was a little bit of 'mean older brother' to Elias and rather close to Maria, with Annalise he actually kept butting heads and thought she was a typical snobby princess as soon as he learned what title of the princess even entailed. Other two had to actually be the peacemakers between the two more than once! Most of the good moments between Annalise and Eidin were under watchful eye of the other two x)

🚩 It was later teen years when Eidin started to notice his feelings towards Annalise were going in the 'You are annoying. Unfortunately, in a kinda sexy way...' direction. He did not make an effort in delivering them to her, however, if someone who noticed (all two of such people, since Crow is actually a SKILLED tsundere) trolled him about it, he'd manipulate the conversation in a way to draw as much attention to himself as possible - while still looking like a victim of an """unfair""" interrogation, hahah. He liked being bullied about his (presumed) crush, whereas playing the role of hating it, WHEREAS playing it in such a way that people WOULD bug him more. He is just a nasty man like that, that's the way I like him! (and that's your fault btw lol)

🌑 When the holy blood was brought to Cainhurst (that tooooootally was not just a step in the plan of creating a baby to summon the Moon.... not at ALLLL...), Eidin was actually one of the first to submit himself as a 'Guardian' of the Queen of Blood, to acquire Blood Dregs for her. He passed it as simply loving the idea of murdering weak, broken people to provide further chaos and glory for his nobles, but in reality he was soooooOoooooOOooo horny over the fact that her blood was flowing in his veins now @_@ Like, ohhhh my god.

🚩 However, he would observe what other Guardians allowed themselves to do, like kissing Anna's hand, speaking very reverential words to her, all that, and just try to mimic it, to not come across as caring 'too much'. He would totally blow it up, though, always sounding too passionate when he'd return to her with his offerings, when he'd kneel and kiss her hand for far too long. Eidin would go from 'being smart at hiding his feelings' to 'THINKING he is smart when literally everyone could see what he was up to', without even being aware of it xd Annalise would've noticed too, of course - she is not clueless! However, whereas she is usually strict (cruel, even) to people that try to 'fool' her, thinking she was too stupid to see through them, with Crow she'd give him a pass, being intrigued with how much further he could've gotten caught in his passion while deluded with the idea of being slick.

🌑 Annalise actually ended up simping hard for him, hoping that he'd get enough balls to come genuine and clear about his feelings some time, but she would not give her own feelings away. She had a status and reputation to uphold! And was puzzled on how she could guarantee it was all safe. So the two would've had a period of giving each other hints and fantasising about each other while separated.

🚩 However, they were still making the best out of their conversations. Eidin even allowed himself to sit at the empty throne beside Annalise a few times, having a casual chat with her. Usually it was them being petty haters towards some other people in the castle xD But sometimes it was just them discussing the concerns of the future of the Cainhurst's glory (with threats looming over them from the Healing Church), missing Maria, being regretful about poor Elias offering himself as a sacrifice for the Child of Blood, and of course shit-talking Logarius that "totally had hots for Annalise and refused to admit them" (that they both hated with their guts and found disgusting). In general, they at least found very understanding friends in each other at the end, not even recalling how they were petty and hostile as children.

🌑 They'd share a kiss, though. At some point, Crow noticed Annalise was nervous because of Elias, marriage and all that stuff. Seeing Annalise being not dead ice cold and certain about something was a rare sight, of course, and Eidin was driven not just by selfish motivations, but by genuine concern and wish to comfort. He offered himself as a volunteer to practice the scene of marriage and oath - naturally, going too hard with his own side of speech and with the kiss. He did not bother to deny it as 'simply playing a good role' and Annalise did not bother to troll him about this. Whereas most of the ships I am active on rely on open communication, with these two it is the opposite; they often rely on the 'tension', giving hints to one another and simply hoping the other would 'get it'. However, Anna was the one who demanded it at least three other times, despite being kinda calm by then. But it was not 'reliving' the situation what calmed her nerves, but instead, coming to terms with what she actually wanted - be it possible or not.

🚩 They would both be heartbroken, though, after Cainhurst's massacre and the telepathic bond between Crow and Annalise being severed. When Paleblood Hunter has a consanguineal contract with her, Annalise mentions that they could be the only ones left of Vilebloods when Arianna and Crow exist, implying the contract should be refueled once in a while. Both Anna and Eidin still keep one another in thoughts and hope the other does the same. Eidin has it especially hard, though. I have this semi-shitpost semi-sad headcanon that should he meet a woman with long red hair - he will fall into delusion that Anna is 'fucking with him' via other people and serve this person ;-; He can't shake the feeling that she must be watching over him in one way or another... He just never feels alone, even if this is just a lunatic's coping strategy.

🌑 While it lasted, actually both would be revering in it feeling like 'forbidden love'. There was something exciting for them both about this secrecy, even though they never directly communicated with each other about what exactly their status was. Each believed the other just 'got it' - and honestly, they believed right. But they would try to have activities just between one another, away from anyone who'd spread the word or judge, like going in the woods or pretending to be the commoners in Yharnam under covers. Just enjoying spending time together! On the dark side, it were these under-cover quality times together how they caught the rumours of bad things looming over Cainhurst and getting prepared (which we all know did not even help them). In these times, Crow always loved getting sweets and flowers (always the most deep red color possible) for Annalise. They would also sometimes play physical pranks on Laurence or Ashton, albeit Patches also wanted to do that... so they were often crossing Patches, too... xD

The Informant and his love for gadgets

One thing I've come round to noticing about Informant is the fact that he loves the accumulation of knowledge -- accurate or not. He does take more interest in work related information though ^_^ connecting back to my 'work is his top priority' analysis

I mentioned in my outdated google slide of the reasons i love informant that he tends to believe a lot of the rumours that circulate around Darkwood, he'd rather be safe and gamble with that small percentage that it might be true than to ignore it (but i mean the rumours end up being right like almost all the time anyway)

Okay getting into the main part of the whole point of this analysis:

He Really Really Loves Gadgets, or items that can be tinkered around with its really similar to how he loves puzzles and plays chess!

and it's a pretty reflective in his occupation, the way his love for puzzles mimics the way he has special gadgets to assist him in his work

His job is actually really fitting for him because it stimulates his brain via approaching new challenges with every case he works on and for a man who loves routine, there's always specific steps he has to take to gather information

I believe another aspect that he loves his work for is the sense of familiarity between his gadgets and his hobby, it's something he enjoys and something he's good with.

An aspect i can say that he probably does not like in his job are the bits where he has to actively pursue people since he doesn't like the unexpected in the arc where we accused him for the second time

He can think on his feet in the moment! I love how cunning he is for that, but it doesn't particularly mean that he likes it (and also got upset about it LOL)

Kaz: His suit would be all black, the top sort of a vest shape with the spiderwebs in gray. his pants and shoes would just be formal dress, but still something he could move around in. his mask would be black with gold detailing, and a sort of shape that mimics a beak at the front. the back of his suit would have spiderwebs in the shape of wings. his cane would have webs in it as well has his body, so he would use it to get around. it would be lightweight, thin and sleek, but still have the crow on top. his gloves would be a key element, tipped with special technology to help his webs go further and be stronger.

Inej: Inej would go for a one piece suit that was strechy, and put a cropped, hooded cloak type thing on top. her details would be in a deep purple, and her main thing would be sneaking around. her suit would have extra ability to stick to different materials, making it easier for her to climb walls. her knives would all have web detailing on the handles. her webs would be near invisible.

Wylan: ok so fashion over function on this one but fuck it. Big yellow sweater over his off-white-almost-orangey suit. Thin belt on his waistline to tuck away his chemicals. mask is off white with bright orange eye hole things. webs are laced with chemicals that make certain ones explode when he wants them to. (is that possible? it is now. it’s my show bitches.) converse with his suit cause he’s just like that.

jesper: dark green, almost black in color. flashes and sparkles lightly in the sun. has a long coat on over it, one that is embroidered with the web design and holds his guns. hat on top of his mask, one that never falls off even though it probably should. he has a special gun that shoots webs. honestly that’s all that comes to mind

nina: big red skirt with leggings underneath. deep red in color. big poofy sleeves. web design in the shape of hearts on her suit. white mask with red hearts around the eyes. big red and white boots that she fucking kicks people with idk.

matthias: i honestly don’t have much of an idea for him. just a normal suit but in white and blue? maybe with some wolf elements on it? idk how that would work tbh.

What did you think about the Esme/Levi storyline in book 2? It was supposed to mimic the Mrs. Martínez storyline in book 1 and test how MC would react to her intern being involved in a similar scenario. However, there are several differences:

1. MC owned up to what she did and even came clean to Ethan about it. She did stay silent about it with Ines and Zaid at first which is fairly similar to what Esme was doing after the incident. In addition, I understand why Esme kept quiet since in her case there was much more at stake since if she accepted she did it on purpose, she would have committed a serious crime (not that stealing a drug sample from a top pharmaceutical company wasn’t a big deal, in fact I think MC got off easy from this one😅)

2. We were forced to make a big decision without ever knowing what happened. Even if you cultivate a good relationship with Esme and she trusts you, she never comes clean to MC. It would have been a great opportunity to make your choices count in the sense that if you were a good mentor to Esme, she tells you the truth and if not, she leaves you hanging. Instead, all we know for sure is that she accepted that Levi did ask her for help to end his life, but nothing more.

3. Harper wouldn’t allow Ethan to testify for MC on the first book because of his blatant favoritism, but suddenly MC’s word seals the deal when it comes to Esme’s fate even though they could very well be just as (if not more) biased. I understand this is main character privilege, but it makes little sense within the plot.

In the end, I chose to have her back and say it was an accident, but this whole storyline had lots of loose ends and didn’t set well with me. I was curious to know your opinion. Sorry for the essay, I just have a lot of thoughts about this in particular.

I wholeheartedly agree that the Esme/Levi storyline was meant to be a parallel. At the same, in all three books, there is a storyline about doctors having to make (or not make) impossible choices for their patients not certain what the outcome will be. In this respect, medicine is one profession where it is about life or death.

The difference between MC and Esme is that physician-assisted suicide is illegal in many states, including Massachusetts. So, if Esme (or anyone) deliberately helped Levi die, it would be considered murder under the state penal laws.

In comparison, what MC did was an ethical infraction. They did full research on the cure, requested permission through official channels, presented the pros and cons to Mrs. M, including the mortality chances. In the end, Mrs. M made the decision, knowing the risks, as was her right as a patient. MC stealing the cure and administering it without attending oversight (required for interns) was the issue.

I do believe Harper wouldn't let Ethan testify in book 1 because she knew he had personal feelings for MC, not just friendly ones regardless of if you romance him or not. Also, he is not MC's official mentor (even he says he's not their mentor in book 1 but that changes by the end of book 2). In Esme's case, MC is officially her mentor and therefore their opinion holds sway.

In my playthroughs, Cassie either is a friendly mentor or a professional one, never the harsh one. That's not her style. Majority of the time, I pick the friendly options as those are true to who she is (and, as she says, she wants the opposite of how she was taught). She also leads by example. As a result, Esme is more open about her struggles with Levi's care and her helplessness. In the professional scenario, Esme is more ambivalent.

You are correct though, Esme is never fully honest about what happened, and we will likely never know. At the same time, if you think about her background (DACA, parents scooped up in an ICE raid), she has never been in a position to trust authorities or that people would have her best interests if she was truthful.

Incidentally, if you don't back Esme, you find out in the final chapter that the police/DA searched through her life and found zero proof about her involvement. To me, that means she was not directly responsible. However, she will never know if she was negligent because she was distracted. I do think that was the lesson from that plotline: sometimes there are no clear cut answers in medicine.

In my hc, Cassie and Esme remain close throughout their life. When Esme finishes her residency and leaves Edenbrook, Cassie is happy to help her in anyway she can. Like Naveen was a mentor to Ethan all his life, Cassie is one for Esme.

When Cassie and Ethan open their own private medical and research center, she poaches Esme. The latter is more than happy to be back working with Cassie and helping the community.

Here's a bunch of concepts for my spider ocs... as wasps!

I guess according to Kirby canon this... isn't very accurate, but some of these designs work without the whole body snatching thing.

I'll try to keep it brief and state if each of these would be canon in my little AU.

🔶Halaro - Not canon. Simply I wanted to try my hand at turning him into a wasp, as well as wanting to see what I could do with a male one. I do like his design though...!

🔶 Halara - Canon, it is her ultimate goal to mimic Sectonia, as she comes from the mirror world already. She may end up looking more similar to Sectonia DX...!

🔶 Regent Medea - Not canon. Twas a first attempt at making her a wasp to fit a certain... situation in my story. She's small and cute, not really what I wanted- but it does fit her.

🔶 Banshee Queen Medea - Working title, but her wails are enough to shatter stone! She peered into the mirror, about to fulfill her desire to replace the long lost Queen. But alas, the mirror she obtained gave her a form that represented how she saw Sectonia. A twisted, horrible monster. She looks like a really messed up Sectonia. Story relevant only- so its a temporary form for Medea.

🔶 Sylvette- Canon! She was the first wasp form I designed. Some more story relevance and another mirror mishap.

🔶 Valarine - Canon, this is her main form. While I would have gone with the spider design I made for her... I ended up wanting to do a similar case with Joronia and Queen Sectonia, where the spider is gone, cannot be reclaimed, and this new body is what she's cursed with. A consequence of her fall into madness and pride.

--- And thats it lol. These designs are not final! I have a couple Kirby OCs still to finish. Working on a Fecto rn, and... struggling really hard with some Star Warriors. So it'll be a while...!

WIPs from September 10th, 2023

-has two completely separate series WIPs- -makes cameo/crossover characters between them rather than working on the main stories again- in other words I'm back on my bullshit lol

I've felt very burnt out and unmotivated lately so I guess I'm trying to shake myself enough to make more art?? I've been chipping away at designs for both Moth to the Flame and Captain Artemis so I've got bugs on the brain again I've had the idea of giving Scutum a parallel character/reference in MttF for a while considering he's already a beetle in Starglass Zodiac (I honestly just love referencing other things in the background aha) and since Scorpio is also based on a bug (arachnid yes i know) I really liked the idea of giving him a nod too since they're already a duo I'd imagine that they'd have a different dynamic/personalities here, and since they're based on other characters of mine already, they'll probably just be cameos in Moth to the Flame rather than full characters to avoid repeating myself with their stories, but I like them a lot anyway :]

I may explore the idea of sapient scorpions existing in MttF's society though, since spiders and other predatory bugs are considered non-sapient animals that hunt the characters in this universe. All of the sapient bugs have a very militaristic society that highly favours those who do well in combat for the sake of survival, so I imagine that Scorpius quickly gained his status as commander due to his natural attributes, though many question whether he's actually on their side because of that. With his claws and stinger, he's essentially a "living weapon" as it is, and only carries other weapons to further augment this, whereas other bugs need to carry some kind of weapon in order to survive at all, like Kiida with her bow and arrows. I gave him a bandaged eye to sort of mimic SGZ Scorpio's side-swept hair, but it ended up referencing Ophiuchus more (which is hilarious if you know anything about Starglass Zodiac lol) Despite being generally freaked out by bugs in real life, they provide me with endless creativity that I don't think will ever wane. There's just such a variety not only in species but in how one can interpret them into characters. Though posing that many limbs is always a challenge, it's still very fun! I'm proud of Scorpius's double salute aha This isn't much but it's the most art I've done in weeks so hooray??? celebrate the little victories folks

the angels and demons are much more.. fantasy than they are similar to actual religion sorts of ones truthfully. i honestly may change it in the future if i ever try to flesh it out a bit more but for now its what works for it imo... very little of heaven is ever seen shown or elaborated on in canon but it is a "place" and there is a god. im having a hard time not saying "ant colony" here. theres not really different like... types of angels like in traditional mythology but there are different predetermined roles for them that can be "promoted" but not demoted bc if ur "demoted" ur banished. which is what happens to the angel thats a main cast member lol. demons are... i havent thought as much about that truthfully. there is demons and then theres monsters there is not much distinguishing them aside from origin (the when and how of their creation). probably theres a hell sort of place too? but it is even less important bc the story is about the monsters mostly instead

the two settings i have for superpowers theyre actually very different! the first one is a genetic thing- its not known exactly how powers appear (copout answer that every superpowers setting has i know sorry) but its currently thought to be a random mutation.this mirrors the zombies in the story ^_^ which is a viral infection but causes rapid and severe physical mutations in a way that mimics the powers of one of the main characters. i want to give it more of an explanation rather than it being Just Powers That Happen but i havent come up with that yet

the other setting is the one i need to work onn and change. as is theres an external trigger for powers but not everyone has the capacity to develop them in the first place. like say out of maybe idk one percent of the population could. and say of those people that COULD if a handful of them fell off a building. one might start to fly. one might suddenly be super strong and not get hurt when they land. one might transfer the force of their landing out of their body and into their surroundings. one might teleport back to the top. etc. its very unpredictable and random lalala this is more "its just because" theres no like reason they can or do develop i really want to flesh it out more though (i want to do that with all my settings but yk)

Hazelnut tree: What's the alison in this au like? I would love to see his dynamic with more characters and we know he ends up with hazel. I wonder what his rule following personality would look like next to winnies moral roulette wheel.

Scaly secrets: You said some of the cast were dragons? Which ones!? And what colors. Are they all the same kinda dragon or different styles?

Cryptic Dreams: Is everyone a cryptid or are some of them hunters? What are some ways they avoid the hunters using their cryptid abblites?

Superhero: what are their powers? Understandable if you haven't got that all figured out yet. Superheroes are hard. So i'm also going to ask are they all heroes or are some of them villains and vigilantes. 

Post cannon au: Who shares rooms? How many bunk beds? Or do they all get their own room?

Mixed marriages: Where did you get the idea for the kingdom names you wrote about in the snippet you posted?

Robotic fantasy (I LOVE EXTRA ANGST): I noticed we are in a lot of the same fandoms so what other fandoms exactly are being thrown into the mix here? And what's your favorite duo of a WTD character partnered with a non WTD character?

Salty I am so fucking happy you don't even know, this is my favorite ask ever I couldn't even imagine this!!!!!! I don't mind the length the length lets me ramble about my ideas which I need to do!!!!!!

Hazelnut tree: Allison would probably secretly tag along with Hazel and Night Light, and therefore ends up talking to the whole little group that's building. Allison would hate Winnie before his redemption due to helping Litho so much. After Win's redemption though? They'd probably get along relatively well, helped by the fact that I'm pretty sure their related, and at the very least they are in HNT.

Scaly Secrets: Currently the dragons consist of; Sara, Wiatt, Carly, Mike, The Triplets, and Winnie! Sara is dark pink, Wiatt is blue, Carly is light pink, Mike is orange, the Triplets are their respective animatron main colors, and Winnie is purple. Kept the color choices simple. Currently I don't have any great ideas on designs/abilities for the dragons, but I'm working on it! (They're all technically dragon shifters btw)

Cryptic Dreams: The cryptids are all the animatronic possessers (minus Eric who has a different deal going on) and Sara and the Twins. The main plot revolves around Wiatt, Damian, Celio, and Oliver thinking all tge cryptids have been taken by cryptids since they don't know they are the cryptids. So they team up with actual cryptid hunters to find them. Carly is also in the team to try and keep everyone from finding out about the cryptids while also stopping them from getting hurt. They use their abilities in a lot of ways, mainly to trap the hunters.

Superheros: Decided to answer both at once with a list, not everyone had powers decided on yet. A lot of them use the animatronic names as alter egos, and those who don't have. Kinda bad names lol.

Watcher's Clutch AU - basic info

Soooooo... this is a mcyt X httyd crossover AU! (it's the 3rd of my mcytXhttyd AUs lol, more on those later)

It's vaguely inspired by the fanfics The Orphan's Ballade and The Hermit's Refuge, which are fanfics for the dsmp and hermitcraft fandoms respectively and feature one character adopting all the others. So uh, yeah. The basic idea is from those, go check them out they're fun to read.

In this AU, it's mostly about the Watchers/Listeners (and a few others), as they get adopted by a stray Watcher who is the protector of children. It all starts when a kid winds up on her doorstep at night, covered in blood (some of it not his own), and begging to be killed. That night, the Watcher takes him in, and slowly starts to draw more kids into the mix.

Under the cut is the details about who are the stray children adopted, and what dragon hybrid they are! I won't go into backstory details because I actually want to write this soon. With in two months at least. Maybe. Don't hold me to it.

Grian - sentinel If you don't know what sentinel dragons are, you probably won't understand why this works so well. It's because sentinels in httyd exist to watch over a dragon graveyard. What better dragon for Grian? On top of that, this adds an interesting idea, because sentinels are blind. So hybrids would probably be born with vision problems or develop them during childhood. So the idea that Grian, even as a teenager, still has relatively good eyesight despite being a species that would've lost it at that point is rather interesting!

Etho - whispering death/sand wraith Weirdly fucked up mouth. That's my main reasoning. Try to put a whispering death mouth on a human. It would looked really fucked up. Idk I almost went with changewing but figured whispering death was a better choice for a hybrid. No I will not explain why he's a hybrid of two dragons <3

Exion (Evil Xisuma) - night fury This one will make zero sense unless you've read my helsmit headcanons post so I'll sum up why I chose this: I headcanon Ex and X to be two of the last voidwalkers, similar to night furies in httyd. Main reasoning tbh.

Helsknight - singetail Arson chameleon.

Skizz - triple stryke Skizz gets the cool scorpion dragon. Also because the only triple stryke we see in canon gives off 3rd Life!Skizz vibes. No I will not explain Sluther could be Skizz and nothing would change.

Chicken - thornridge This one will also not make sense unless you've read the helsmit heacanons post (also included in this category are Echo, 13, Adubs & Grain) But basically Chicken is one of the most peaceful helsmits, and I though he'd fit a thornridge!

Adubs - prickleboggle Funky dragon that casts healing fireballs. Idk I just wanted something vaguely plant themed for this guy.

Grain - dramillion Parrot dragon parrot dragon parrot dragon- Basically the dramillion can mimic any blast it sees, and I thought that it would be cool if hybrids could also mimic voices!

BigB - speed stinger Don't blink or he will zip past you can suddenly you can't move. I like the raptor dragons alright :) He could also be a dreadstrider, which is a hybrid between a speed stinger and a flightmare, but I like basic speed stinger for now!

Echoslab - egg biter Honestly it is simply the vibes

Martyn - slithersong Listen, this dragon lures it prey in by singing. And Martyn is widely regarded as a Listener in headcanons. It's perfect.

Jimmy - razorwhip A) Jimmy is a toy would work great with the dragon that looks like it's made of metal B) Jimmy can have poisonous tears and breath for fun :)

Scott - snow wraith I am channeling Empires season 1 for this. Es1!Scott is so snow wraith coded.

Bad - flightmare Idk he's Scar's counterpart and sibling. Don't know what else you need

Xornoth - deathgripper Xornoth is so deathgripper coded. I am correct about this btw. I'm thinking Exor is like Grimmel and basically drugged deathgripper hybrids to use for his own purposes, and Xornoth is one of the few who escaped!

13 - sword stealer Metal dragons that steals stuff and looks scary :)

Joel - small shadow Small shadows are the wolves of the dragon world alright. Also I think it'd be cool of Joel just goes missing for days at a time and nobody's really worried because he can fight when he needs to, and the entire time he's building a small shadow pack!

Ren - scuttleclaw Again, vibes. Scuttleclaw's have dog vibes and it is Rendog.

Anyways, those are the main children, with others appearing in cameos or backgrounds. Pearl, Joe, and Keralis have all been excluded from this group despite being Watchers (in my headcanons at least), due to possibly having different roles in this AU.
