how to finish the main dragonborn dlc questline, without working with a daedric prince (spoilers ahead for both the original and modded questline):
1. you need access to mods. specifically two: „epic restoration“ (perhaps „gray zone for epic restoration“) and „miraak - dragonborn follower“
2. obtain the spell „renounce“. you can find the spelltome in most temples of the divines. it allows you to get out of any daedric quest. it will not work on sheogoraths or vaerminas quest.
3. make sure you have the elder scroll (dragon).
(if you don‘t have it anymore, or if there are issues when you try to read it later on, use these console commands:
- prid 2d4f1
- addtocontainer player
these commands add the scroll you need to your inventory)
3. play the dlc normally, until you reach the quest „the gardener of men“. when hermaeus starts talking to you and asks you to betray the skaal, cast „renounce“. you can still do it after leaving apocrypha, but you must do it before talking to storn.
4. the quest will fail and you will get an alternate quest, called „traitor‘s breach“.
(spoilers for that quest: you will need to find a book and read it. the go behind miraaks temple and read the elder scroll. if it doesn‘t work, use the console commands listed above. there are different versions of that scroll, and only the original one will work.)
5. by completing that quest, you learn all words of bend will on your own. storn will stay alive
6. continue up to the fight with miraak. if the mod „miraak - follower“ is correctly installed, you will get the optional objective of using bend will on him. do that until he stops fighting and continue shouting at him.
7. you and miraak will have to fight hermaeus moras minions. eventually you both manage to escape from the daedric prince of knowledge.
and this is how you finish the dragonborn dlc in a better way. i like how it gives the bend will shout an actual use other than a taxi to miraak. and using the elder scroll again to obtain knowledge is just *chef‘s kiss*.

Mal'thael sulking because Miraak kept kicking his pile of skulls, so he moved them. And then resumed sulking, because he couldn't put his trophies IN the temple.

LDB:"So...who put the dead scorpion in Nebarra's boot? I'm not mad, I just wanna know."
Secunda:"I did. I put the dead scorpion in Nebarra's boot."
LDB:"No. You didn't...Remi?"
Remi:"Don't look at me,look at Gore."
Gore:"What? I didn't put a scorpion in there."
Remi:"Huh, that's weird, then how'd you know there was a scorpion in Nebarra's boot?"
Gore:"Because the boot is sitting right in front of us...and there's a dead scorpion."
Remi:"Suspicious."
Gore:"No, it's not."
Nebarra:"If it matters, probably not, but Xelzaz was the last one to fall asleep last night. He's always trying to poison me in some way."
Xelzaz:"LIAR! I've never tried to poison you!"
Nebarra:"Oh really then what did I see you mixing last night?!?"
Xelzaz:"I was prepping health potions for the next day as I do every night, everyone knows that!"
Secunda:"Okay let's not fight, I put the scorpion in his boot, let me take the blame."
LDB:"No! Who put the scorpion in his boot!?!"
Gore:"Sister, I just want to point out that Taliesin has been really quiet..."
Taliesin:"REALLY?!?"
*everyone starts arguing*
LDB to Auri,Kaidan,Inigo and Lucien:"I did it. I got tired of the subtle jabs and just wanted everyone to get it out of their system."

Alright there's been plenty of angst around here, here's something not angsty: the followers are voted "Most Likely to ___" in TES high school. Fill in the blank for as many followers as you like.

Miraak: If there's a prize for rotten judgement, I guess I've already won that.
Miraak: No daedra's worth the aggravation.
Miraak. That's ancient history. Been there, done that.

Some more pics of Mal'thael and Miraak. Miraak is secretly grumpy that Mal is so much taller than him.

The time has come.
“So you spoke to him then,” she says briskly, the air between them growing steadily colder, sharper, “You had an opportunity to kill him and didn’t take it. If you talked to him about his plans for the future, obviously he’s going to tell you what you want to hear.”
He’s getting sterner as well: “I spoke to him at length about killing him, and that sufficiently re-confirmed what I’d already decided, which is that I’m not going to do it.”
She spreads her arms wide, an I give up gesture. “What do you want me to say, then? The Blade-oath binds us to kill monsters like Paarthurnax. If you won’t do it then you’re not a Blade, and you’re not welcome here until you do.”
“Delphine, I have had it,”  he snaps at last, his serene self-control splintering in the face of this audacity. His voice emerges low and guttural; both Delphine and Esbern flinch back, and behind him he can hear Lucien and Teldryn shifting anxiously as well. In his peripheral Miraak waits with expectant calm, and probably quite a satisfied look under that mask of his.
Chrysanthe speaks before anyone else has the chance to: “ You are not the leader of the Blades. I am.”

How well I think the Skyrim Sexyman Seven would survive the Death Angels from the A Quiet Place franchise.
Sexyman no. 1: Brynjolf
He is the first one in alphabeth order, and the safest choice to start with
I mean he is a thief and not just any thief; a pretty good one
He is also a Nightingale, c'mon guys
Nocturnal gives him her protection 💪🏻
However one of his main skills is to remain unseen and not to remain unheard
Meaning he has to adapt
But that doesn't give a hard time, just a bit of a headache
He is also very cunning; he uses all kind of tricks to get the Death Angels away
Plus this guy lives in Riften. The place where water always flows around; there are waterfalls nearby, a whole sewer system and a lots of rivers
So this guy would survive the whole monster apocalypse 10/10
Sexyman no. 2: Cicero
We all know Cicero.
We all know that he is loud AF
Especially because I think his little hat would have bells:)
If he (or LDB) chooses to cut it that would increase his chances to survive a lot
But he would still be dumb, and giggle just a little bit too loud
And get the team into a lot of trouble
The LDB would always have their hands on his mouth
He would also enjoy this whole monster-situation? I mean corpses everywhere, he also would probably scare people random, getting them into the danger of loudly gasping or screaming even
So a 4/10 if he's with LDB, and 1/10 if alone
Sexyman no. 3: Miraak
Now, he spends most of his time in the apocrypha, so he wouldn't really realise for a while
However once he is in Tamriel again, oh boy-
He is very powerful and uses spells that can be used long distance
Also let's not forget that he is a dragonborn.
He would probably use the dragon shouts against them
Pros: If the enemy is short distance it would literally blow them apart
Cons: The long distance enemies would hear it and storm the place where he used it (It could probably be heard from all points of the hold)
I think he might also keep some as a pet? Like using magic and whatever to make the Death Angels obidient to him?
He doesn't speak much, but he is cocky enough to not shut up in certain situations
So I give this guy a 8/10 survival rate
Sexyman no. 4: Neloth
He is a grumpy old man
I don't even know what to say about him? 😭
He lives in a mushroom and i think mycelium makes good soundproof walls
But that elevator?? That's so loud
Same with the enchanter
He is a great mage, so of course he could protect himself
He would probably cast an ice block around the head of those things, lmao
Or would cast lighting spells around the monster's sensitive ears?
But he wouldn't stay that quiet
Also, he lives on an island? So the Death Angels wouldn't really be there
So his score would be a 9/10 on Solstheim, and a 5/10 in Skyrim
Sexyman no. 5: Ondolemar
He is cocky, too
He is a scaredy cat
I mean this guy?? He works as a thalmor, as a high-ranking official of a political party know to torture many, and he not only isn't able to get the Talos Temple closed, but also gets the LDB to get one Talos worshipper to jail 😭 He is a disaster
So he would probably curl up a tent, behind a waterfall
jk
He isn't THAT useless
He has quite a few tricks up his sleeve to distract the monsters
So don't worry about him, he can get around just fine, even if he prefers to stay in a safe place
His score is a 5/10
Sexyman no. 6: Serana
She wouldn't have a problem with being silent
However, I think she is very anxious? So the moment she hears those clicking sounds nearby or makes a bit louder noise she is panicking.
Of course, she has been alive for a while, lives through many horros, and saw ugly things, but those things? They are hard to kill for someone who is using swords
Also she mostly remains her human form, and if she decides to transform that would be loud for the Death Angels' hearing (you know the bats, and such)
It would make her life a bit easier, because there would be a lot of corpses she could drink from (if she isn't disgusted by them)
So I'm gonna give her a solid 6,5/10
Crowned Sexyman no. 7; Teldryn Sero
Well, he is a curious case
He is a quiet person in general, if don't talk about him during battles because i think he curses a lot at the enemies
And the monsters wouldn't give him nightmares, because I'm pretty sure he saw some thing during his earlier adventures
However he isn't the sneaky type
And his armor is also a bit noisy
So someone would have to help him around while gets used to it
I think he would know how to kill the monsters?
He would grab some stones and throw them at their faces (Like in that Old Testament story of the little dude and the giant dude)
And he would totally drown them in the waters of Solstheim
I'm giving him a 6,5/10
Overall likeliness of survival of the Skyrim Sexyman Seven:
Most likely to survive
Brynjolf [10/10]
Neloth, on Solstheim [9/10]
Miraak [8/10]
Teldryn Sero & Serana [6.5/10]
Neloth, in Skyrim & Ondolemar [5/10]
Cicero, with LDB [4/10]
Ciceroy alone [1/10]
Least likely to survive
