I'm gonna list both real life authors and fanfic authors.

I really got into Taylor Jenkins Reid and N.K. Jemisin last year, so they're great!

for fan fiction authors in the fear street fandom: this is such a tough one! I mean probably misshavisham, garmonbozias and annieoakley1. they have fandom classics. such good writing and characterization.

in other fandoms: there's this one author called persephoneselene in the Shadow and Bone fandom. They have this WIP called Games that is so good. I love it.

favourite headcanon of the year

omg I mean probably the fear street cat universe head canon, nick being a Mariah Carey/ABBA/Madonna Stan, or him leaving her half his fortune in his will only for her to help kill him. I love dramatic irony like that.

best movie you watched this year

that's tough! It's probably a three way tie between Palm Springs (2020), Saving Face (2004) and The Way He Looks (2014). I also really loved No Way Home, though I saw that last December.

fandom “first” you accomplished this year

I mean I made my first gif set this year! does that count? I've gotten into that a lot. I'm still getting the hang of making gif sets and I'm still pretty impatient about it, but I'd like to think I'm slowly getting better.
