of tapering oval form with leather covered swing handle decorated with oval brown and green cabochon stones, the lockable lid with pierced acanthus scroll repousse decoration centred by a diamond shaped lapis tablet flanked by oval green cabochons, the trellis decorated sides with applied vacant shield shaped cartouches, the inner wooden lid with applied Christian device depicting crossed hands (probably representing the stigmata) below a cross, the interior later lined with brocade.
