modern!mizu as your lover headcannons
sorry for the hiatus! school’s going insane but bes content is the one driving me atp,)
- Doesn’t mind it when you give snarky and witty remarks, honestly finds it cute. Once you run out of them, she’d go, “Hm? Cat got your tongue?” before just kissing you all over your face
- Would wake up earlier than you just for the sake of nuzzling you in the neck and saying, “Good morning, love.” 🙇‍♀️ On the other hand, she gets VERY flustered like fr a blushing mess when you do the same, especially if you kiss her on the cheek
- When going out, she makes sure she has the small snacks you like to nibble on if you need to
- Makes inside jokes only you both understand so that people are aware of how close you two or post your couple pics on her social media be it through stories or posts; though, she doesn’t want the people to see you two as just an internet couple—she knows you both are MORE than that.
- Caption will be short but significant in a sense: ‘💕’ ‘They/she/he are/is so beautiful’ ‘My love’
- She’s a SUCKER for back hugs like you’ll literally feel her tense up (in a good way) when you do so
- “You like this right?”
- “……mhm,”

Your Father's Daughter
Mizu x Reader story
Tumblr media
Word count: 2.2k
Chapter 1.
“(Y/N)”
It was like summoning the spirit of a shadow to your beck and call. Wisps of silence followed by your silent footsteps. Your presence now known, you made yourself available for whatever he requested of you. The light of the candle bouncing off the walls and onto your face, creating illusions of shapes and figures on the wall and onto you.
Straightening your back, and correcting your posture you approached his side, standing far enough to leave a little distance for respect. He hovered over you greatly, his back turned to you. His presence was overwhelming to many, but not as overwhelming to you like it used to be. After years of being close to him, and standing by his side you’ve learned to enjoy the warm rays of the sun. To bask in its light and let it warm the cold corners of your mind with its reassurance and comfort. To take in its greatness.
“Father, I’m here.” Your voice is quiet, stable. Not that he needed a confirmation that you were present. No one could tell if you were in the area or not, as you were skilled at what you do. You had built yourself a reputation for being as silent as an empty room. No one could detect your presence as quickly as your father could. He always knew when you were around, he could sense you. That’s how close your bond was. To others though you slipped between the shadows of a room, as quiet as
“My little mouse, ” A nickname from years ago. Early childhood. The first nickname you’ve ever received actually. From anyone else you would have found it an insult as they were comparing you to a rodent that scavenged for trash outside on street corners, but coming from your Father it made the world feel at ease. Like it was a safe place to be. His voice was low and soothing, beckoning you to come closer, and you did. Finally stepping to his side, you were able to stand over and view what he was waiting for you to see.
His attack plans and strategies were always thought out. Organized. Detailed. Precise. No piece or plot left missing, no turn or corner left unchecked. Displayed on the table before him, adjusted to his liking. With a mind as grand as his, and plans even bigger there was no room for mistakes. Honor and pride filled your heart whenever he shared any details with you of his goals, and even more when he sent you on missions to help him achieve them.
There was a reason you were called his “Mouse”. Your father was the sun, and every light casts a shadow. You were that shadow. Your father, as grand as he is, couldn't be everywhere at the same time, but with you it’s almost like he could be. Unlike everyone else, he stands out quite a bit. Not a lot of people living here in Japan have seen a man of his color. A white man from a foreign land, here to do foreign things. Most people gawk and stare at him if they get the chance to see him, as he looks far from your ordinary japanese citizen. His hair seems to be in competition with the sun as it is as golden as the great star in the sky, and his eyes are the lightest shade of blue, like the sky it inhabits. He towers over most of the people here with his height, and his build is different, more broad. Though he is different from everyone around him, he finds no shame in it. You watch him from corners as he strolls into rooms with a silent confidence that demands attention. He is the sun, resting gently on the horizons of Japan.
You are not the moon, you’re not even the stars. You don’t mind it now as it makes performing tasks for him a lot easier. Wherever your father tells you, you go. Slipping into the shadows to find whoever and wherever. For years, your father has trained you to be his eyes and ears for where his grande presence would become too much of a distraction. You're his sight into the rooms he can't explore, echoing back the words and plots being whispered behind closed doors. Sometimes, you're his final say. Slipping poison into the cups of those who drink to betrayal, or cold sharp iron to the necks of those who have removed the collar of obedience to your father. Everything you’ve been taught, from spying to assassination, has been taught by this man. Everything you do is for this man.
Your mind begins to slip, stepping into the doorway of the past. Memories dance behind your eyes, reminding you why your gratefulness will never find an end. You never find peace in this specific room of memories. There is no tenderness or love in the beginning as it opens up to you, dragged  by your thin, fragile elbow and thrown onto the floor like a rag doll.
“Take her.” The voice of your mother that night still rings in your mind like it did fourteen years ago. Cold, and desperate. You’ve heard farmers speak over their cattle with more kindness.
You dared to turn your gaze from the floor to meet her eyes. You could smell the fear that lay under her skin, how it furrowed her eyebrows, how it oozed out her temples and dripped down her face. She finally made eye contact with you, and for a quick second you thought you had seen a look of regret before disgust crossed it.
“She’ll do him good. She’s young, learns quickly.” she spoke over you like a desperate merchant trying to make his last sale.
“A girl holds as much value as a rat,” the man spoke, his voice booming through you and your mother.
“What he wants is the information you owe him. He’s given you enough chances to do what you do to make it. Now, where is it?”
At this point he gets into your mothers face, his height towering over hers tremendously. She stutters over her words, still trying to sell you off, and they begin to argue. The sound of two adults voices rising, sending fear running up your spine. Men arguing with your mother wasn't new to you, but it didn't mean you enjoyed the sound. Lucky for you, you’ve always been a quiet girl, attention never seemed to follow you and it didn't here as you slipped out the room into the night. You crawled to the front of the little hut you and your siblings called home. There was little to no room for any of you, and even less food to spare amongst all of you, but you found ways to sneak scraps from your older siblings whenever you could.
You noticed a shadow overcast you and realized you were kneeling in front of a carriage. You had never seen one this grand before. It looked foreign, and new. The horses that carried it were sleek and as black as the night. The windows were too dark to look into, but you felt someone was looking at you from inside.
The sound of a woman screeching, and the smell of smoke washed over your curiosity as you quickly turned your head to catch what you had been missing behind you. Your little corner of the world that you had called home was now a blaze, and you could hear your mothers voice from the inside. You couldn't tell if she was pleading or just screaming, but it shook something inside of you that you had never experienced before. The man who was arguing with her finally stepped out, using the fire that reached behind him to light his kiseru pipe, adding the scent of tobacco to the night sky. Smoke left his nostrils like a dragon as he exhaled, lifting his head towards the moon, a look of relaxation crossing his face. You could hear conjoined screams and realized it wasn't just your mother being burned alive, but the rest of your siblings. Your family and you didn't have the sound relationship a mother and daughter or sister and siblings should have, but they were all you knew. All you had. You choked back tears, the sound catching the attention of the smoking man burning your past away.
“Ah,” he spoke, taking in another puff. “There you are. I didn’t see when you slipped out. Little rat-” he began to approach you, his footsteps shaking the ground around you as you sat there frozen to it. You could run into the woods, but how soon until he caught you. If he doesn't, surely the fire will spread and catch up with you soon. If you make it, then what? Who would take you in? Your mother wasn't very popular amongst the women of the town, so no one owed her any favors. Men around here rarely paid attention to the children wandering the streets, but when they did it was never good. Your options were limited and you didn't believe in the kindness of strangers.
Before he could lay a hand on you, towering over you already, another voice spoke behind you. You didn't know when he arrived, or why you didn't hear him, but you could hear the authority in his voice. Calm, powerful.
“Leave her.” The new presence spoke. Slowly, you turned your head to catch his shoes. Those too were foreign. They had traces of gold, you had never seen gold this close before, and a material that you could tell was also expensive. You trailed your eyes up his attire, finally meeting his eyes just to see that he was already meeting yours. His head blocked the light of the moon like an eclipse, and his eyes scared you at first. You had never seen eyes that shade of blue before ever in your life. You had never seen someone who looked like him ever in your life.
“Can’t you see you're scaring her?” he began to kneel, the clean cloth of his pants touching the dirt you sat on.
“My apologies, Sir.  The damn thing was so quiet I didn't notice she left. I can get rid of her quickly and so we can continue-”
“That won’t be necessary.” You were face to face with the strangest man you had ever seen, as he was now at your level. You were still processing his face. Eyes blue, and not a dark brown like your neighbors, hair golden even in the night light and not as black as the raven's wings. His face was long, angular and his eyes were round. Even his nose was shaped differently. But you didn't find him ugly. You could tell that where he was from he was well groomed, and would be considered handsome.
The sounds of frantic screaming broke out again as the fire spread. You recognized one of your siblings, and immediately tore your eyes from his. Though life wasn't the best, you were reminded that all you knew was being burned to the ground. All the scents in the air were beginning to make you sick, and your heart was breaking, sharp shards falling into your stomach, adding to the queasy feeling you felt. You choked back another cry, but the tears were threatening to break through. Turning back to the man who kneeled, you noticed he never stopped looking at you. He wasn't looking at the fire, or the other man apologizing for his lack of duty. But at you. A small child he just met by chance on this red night.
“Why do you cry?” he asks you finally, his eyes never breaking yours. It is then that you realize that the dam had broken, and the ocean behind your eyes had won.
“Not everything lost is a loss,” he spoke to you with calmness in his tone. Words that fell from his mouth felt like the final say. If he said the night sky was now day as long as he spoke it, it would become true.
And yet you still quivered. From fear of the unknown your future had instored for you, from the tears and sadness that left your body, from the coldness of the night. There was so much to shake for, and he was as steady as a rock, no mind the ocean waves washing against it. Nothing affected him. Nothing moved him. Not the fire, not even your tears.
He pulled you in close, his large arms engulfing you and shading you from the heat of the flame. It was then you allowed yourself to cry. Truly and fully cry. The sobs broke through you, the sound of weakness threatening to echo through the night now muffled by his coat that your tiny hands clung onto. Soft words you've never heard before spoken from a man filled your ears and settled in your young mind. His voice, soothing and cool, offered a comfort you had yet to experience. They drowned out the flames behind you, and they tamed the racing thoughts in your mind. They were your final say.
“I need you to be here.” his voice brought you back to the present. Your father, the man who saved your life, was now looking over to you. His face warm, and patient. His eyes never leaving yours. You straightened your back, corrected your posture. In the presence of greatness. The shadow of the sun.
“I am here.” Always.

Just finished Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix and it was incredible.
Spoilers!!
The Art, the murder, Mizu's pure and unending rage, the fact that Taigen is our 2020's Li Shang - bi awakening and all (y'all this man gave us a sexually fraught wrestling match between two supposed men that ended with him getting a bona-fide boner from being pinned down by his freind/rival/enemy/childhood victim). The discussions that will spawn about race and gender, Mizu's self-loathing quest for revenge on the men who potentially brought her/them/him into a world that was always going to despise her/them/him for even existing. Akemi "I want to be great" in response to Taigen "I don't care about being great, I just want to be happy".
EPISODE 5!! THE ONRYŌ!! EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW!!
But the thing that I'm obsessing over the most is that Mizu fucking burned Edo to the ground to kill Abijah, and then she/they/he didn't even fucking kill him! Hello? I know there's reasons and everything but still that city is burnt fucking dead and Mizu is just off on a boat to London with one of her three living potential fathers in the brig so she can better find the other two.
Also just "The biggest city in the world is burning to the ground as a blood sacrificeto your revenge. Your white half is showing." What a line Abijah you goddamn madlad.
I'm frothing at the mouth for season 2

Enemies to Lovers with Mizu
Pairing: Mizu x Reader
Tags: nsfw, smut, pining, enemies to lovers, hate sex at first, confession, angry kissing
A/N: Seriously where is all the x Reader stuff for Mizu? I'm dying over here. Fuck it, I will make it myself!
Tumblr media
Crossing swords and locking lips were two very different things, anyone will tell you that
Yet it was the two things that you and Mizu kept doing with an equal amount of passion
First were the battles, meeting each other all too often for each other's likin
The spats and the banter came after but very naturally
No one could quite give as as much of a challenge as she could, it was almost like a dance, one made of blood and pain but still a dance
Flirting with her took her very much of guard so you thought if you kept it up you would eventually beat her, it never occurred to you that it could become serious or that she would eventually flirt back
When your swords and words weren't enough anymore you resorted to fists, pulling and pushing against each other until your lips met in the middle of a heated argument
It quickly became your preferred way of fighting
There were times where no words were exchanged at all, just your lips and tongues and noises, whimpers, sighs, moans, doing the talking
You were surprised to learn she was a virgin, with a face as handsome as hers she could have easily lost it to anyone she wanted to
She didn't appreciate your teasing, and that cocky smirk of yours was one of the things she hated the most about you
Which was why she kissed you so often, you couldn't tease her if you were kissing her
Kissing became fucking, your new competition being who could make the other finish faster
This was where her years of training and her stamina came in quite the handy
Nothing about the sex was gentle or slow or tender, all rough, fast, fucking, a fight for dominance
The fact that you liked her body against yours after was the thing that scared you most of all, beyond the fact that sex was all you seemed to do when you saw each other, that could have been just for release, but cuddling after wasn't
Actually what scared you the most was how she began to give you lingering looks when you parted ways, as if waiting for you to stop her, to say what she knows is on your mind, the same thing she was thinking
Months past like that, with neither of you saying it
It wasn't until she announced that she would be traveling far away that the dam finally broke and you poured your heart out to her and she to you, vowing to take this new journey by her side not as her enemy but as her lover and partner

Jealousy Looks Good On You
Mizu x Jealous! Reader
Summary: You and Mizu have been close friends for quite some time. You truly enjoyed each others company, that was until Taigen showed up.
Disclaimers; light language, has not been proofread, I am currently delirious from packing and moving all day but I had to write this out to feed the starved mizu lovers. A fair amount may not make sense at this point in time. My apologies ❤️
Tumblr media
————————————————————
You and Mizu have been friends for a while now. Honestly you were surprised you could even say that. Mizu was not someone who would openly accept friendship applications on a daily basis, they usually wouldn’t even talk to people unless it was absolutely necessary. But somehow, despite this, you had gotten past that wall and weaseled your way into becoming her friend.
That was how you viewed it at least, you liked to think that she at least enjoyed your company seeing as she had yet to just up and leave you randomly, which she very well could successfully do if she wanted. You two had learned a lot about each other through late night talks and just general conversations. You of course, had learned about her secret, and you vowed to keep it from anyone else that would cross your path. She in turn had learned a lot about you, things about your past, your likes and dislikes, the usual things that a companion would know.
However, there was one thing she didn’t know about you and you planned to keep it that way. You had been traveling alongside Mizu since you two had crossed paths in a town that she did not intend to stay long in.
Since then you had always admired Mizu for her skills with a sword. That admiration eventually turned to something much stronger.
You would never admit it outloud but you had developed a small crush on the blue eyed woman, and in all honesty it was pretty hard to keep it under control.
Your dynamic had just been you and her for a long time and once Ringo was added to the group it only added to your enjoyment. You loved spending time with them. You honestly found it pretty adorable how Ringo persistently followed the two of you around, just as you had once done to Mizu well before him.
However, once Taigen joined… things changed.
He was never supposed to stay this long, the only reason he did was because Mizu had saved him when escaping that stupid tower. You wanted to go with her, you pleaded with her to take you with her to at least have some back up in case something went wrong but she refused. She wouldn’t give you any other reasoning than, “I need you to stay here.”
No matter how many times you asked why, she would just give you the same answer until you listened. She didn’t want you to go along with her, she wanted to do this alone. And yet when you and Ringo had found her, was she alone?
No… of course not.
He was there with her.
You didn’t recognize him at first of course, you simply thought him to be some random man Mizu thought it was in her best interest to save. In the time you knew Mizu, that didn’t happen often.
You and Ringo had managed to get them both out of the icy water and make your way to the sword fathers house, keeping them both as warm as you possibly could while in such a state.
It wasn’t until Mizu had initially woken up did you finally find out who the man was.
“You’re awake.” You exclaimed, making your way over to a very dreary Mizu who was trying to prop herself up. You smiled, feeling a sudden wave of instant relief as she looked up at you,
“Is Taigen awake.” Were the first words to come out of her mouth.
“Taigen?” You asked, the name felt familiar but you couldn’t tell from where.
“He’s not awake yet.” Ringo answered, he was still very upset with Mizu after their last meeting and that would’ve been clear to anyone just through his tone of voice.
Taigen… Taigen… where have you heard that name?
That’s when you realized, on one of your very late night talks, Mizu had opened up to you a bit about her childhood. In the tale she told, one name continued to pop out.
Taigen.
The kid who was absolutely ruthless to her. All because of the color of her eyes. You remembered just from listening to the story, the anger you felt for Mizu, but even as she was telling the story she didn’t seem quite bothered by it. You supposed she’d have had a lot of time to think about it to the point the memories no longer brought up any emotions.
You looked away from Mizu and turned to the man who was resting quite peacefully not too far away from her. Your astonished gaze turned to a very clearly displeased glare. Never in your life would you think that you wouldn't end up coming across this man, not once, but twice. You had seen the man before, he had shown up a few other times before this, the only reason you hadn’t reacted as harshly was because you didn’t know who he was. You guessed you hadn’t recognized him this time due to the amount of bruising he sustained from his stay at the tower.
Deserved, in your opinion.
Once Mizu had woken up, she of course got right to work just as she usually did. She had no idea what the words ‘take a break’ meant. You helped her out with most of the tasks she tried to perform, but there was one she was insistent on doing alone, again.
So you sat back, preparing whatever medicine Ringo had asked for you to make as he followed around the sword father like there was no tomorrow. You sat in silence, Taigen sleeping not too far away from you, the fire still blaring keeping you both warm.
Why him of all people. Why did he have to be the one she brought back?
There was nothing you could do about him now except for hope that when he wakes up he just gets up and goes on his way.
You rolled your eyes, even thinking about the man made you mad, so you went back to your mundane task. That was until you heard the sound of what you realized to be Taigen stirring as he finally woke up.
“Great, you're awake.” You said sarcastically as you turned towards the man who had rolled over, making sure to make several groaning noises in the process. Sure he was in severe pain but literally everything he did, logical or not, annoyed you.
He didn’t even truly process who you were or why you were there, the first thing he asked was,
“Where’s Mizu?”
Seriously? Why did these two suddenly care about each other so much?
You tried your best to remain as neutral as possible as you very lowly answered, “Outside.”
You didn’t want to tell him, you didn’t even want to speak to him in the first place and You sure as hell didn’t want to leave him alone with Mizu. How could anyone trust him? Sure people change, and most of what he did to Mizu was from when they were kids… but your concern still stands. Who knows, maybe he’s still an asshole.
But in the end, it wasn’t your choice on whether he and Mizu got closer. You would protest it, and you‘d protest it hard but when it comes to it, if Mizu for some reason completely unknown to you decided he was good enough to keep around you’d have to be okay with it.
Some time had passed since they had both woken up. Mizu had gone out to try and remake her sword and Taigen had gone off to… well you didn’t really know nor did you care. You had been sitting outside on the snow covered ground, looking up at the night sky, trying to just clear your mind.
You didn’t like feeling so angry all the time, especially over someone who you personally had no reason to truly be angry at. You felt guilty, it wasn’t your place to make such decisions on who was good for Mizu and who wasn’t but you couldn't help it. It felt almost as if it was some kind of instinct, but you couldn’t really place what it was or why you felt it. All you knew was that you hadn’t felt like this before, and it frightened you. You didn’t want to be so pushy or mean to the two just because you didn’t enjoy one person's presence.
You sighed as you continued to stare up at the sky.
“What is wrong with me?” You whispered quietly to yourself.
While you were having your moment of self reflection, you noticed Taigen who had made his way back from the village carrying food. The guilt you felt seemed to double as you looked at him, so you simply looked the other way.
He walked inside the house not even sparing you a glance, he probably didn’t even know you were there. You were sitting in almost complete darkness, the only light being the glow from the fire inside and the moonlight. You enjoyed the isolating feeling it gave, it felt as if time had stopped as you stared at the bright moon above. You were completely lost in thought, zoning out as you stared at the moon. The only thing to snap you out of it was the sound of a large thud, as if something had hit the ground.
You panicked thinking that Taigen had attacked, just as you thought he would. You rushed over to the door of the house but you stopped once you noticed the position the two of them were in. They were so close to each other, and it didn’t seem like they were actually fighting with each other. You hid behind the door frame, not wanting your presence to be known as you thought about what you had just seen.
Does she actually like him? Why are they so close to each other? Is this seriously happening?
All these questions ran through your head as you backed away from the door. So badly did you want to ‘accidentally’ stumble inside and ruin the moment but then you knew you’d feel even more guilty about it. You just tried to let it go and move on with your night.
You tried.
The next day you had become incredibly standoffish. Mainly towards Mizu and Taigen which made it especially noticeable. Anytime Mizu had asked anything of you, you wouldn’t respond like normal, in fact this time you barely responded at all. Usually you seemed so happy to do anything within her company, but now it was as if you were looking right past her.
When Taigen would even attempt to talk to you, you wouldn’t even make a move to acknowledge his existence.
It was extremely petty and you knew that, but you seriously had no other way to deal with your emotions. You were trying your hardest to keep your thoughts down and just be happy for the two that you thought had some kind of chemistry but you weren’t getting far.
Later that night, you walked into the same room as Mizu. she had been sitting down drinking something from her cup, and staring off into the distance deep in thought. Once you had noticed her, you didnt give your normal greeting, you just sat down across from her and paid her no mind.
“What is your problem?” She finally asked. You simply looked at her, your face was as empty of emotion as you could make it.
“What do you mean? I don’t have a problem.” You lied, trying to not get ahead of yourself. You had so many things that were just so eager to get out, but you didn’t want to share them. You wanted to keep quiet and never mention a single one. If you never mention your problems you don’t have to feel guilty about them, right?
Mizu stared at you, astonished by your persistence with this new attitude.
“Why won't you acknowledge me?” She asked. You averted your gaze by the slightest bit, the guilty feeling coming back.
“I’m acknowledging you right now.”
“That’s not what I meant.”
“I don't understand your problem here, I’m the exact same.” You lied. You were trying so hard to keep everything under control.
“No you’re not. We both know that.”
“Since when were you an expert on personalities?”
Just because you were trying hard to keep your cool, doesn’t mean you were doing good at it.
“Since I’ve known you for almost a year.”
“You don’t know everything, you know.”
“Why are you acting like this?”
“I don’t know, why don’t you ask Taigen, you seem to go to him for everything anyways.” You didn’t mean to let that slip. If you could take back the words you had just said, you would’ve in an instant. You knew once you had brought up Taigen you wouldn’t be able to stop.
“What is wrong with you?” She asked, confused by your attitude towards every single thing she said. You would never act like this normally, so why now? It almost frightened her, it reminded her a bit of how the people in her past would turn on her so suddenly based on some trait about her, so she assumed the worst.
“There’s nothing wrong with me, Taigen is the problem!” You shouted, now standing up to make your point clear, which took Mizu by surprise. You had never truly gotten so angry before and especially not at her.
“What did he do? Did he do something to you?” She asked, a whole new level of possibilities jumped forward in her mind. She had let her guard down around Taigen, what if he had made a move on you and she didn’t know.
“Are you kidding? I’m not worried about me, I'm worried about you! I mean, what hasn’t he done to you. You’re telling me he was an asshole to you for the entire duration of your childhood that you spent together, and then he suddenly comes waltzing back in claiming he wants to kill you? And then you forgive him? You saved his life sure but now he wants to act all buddy buddy with you? Are you serious? You’re setting yourself up for failure here.” As you went on your ramble, Mizu had begun to relax as she realized the situation. Her eyes followed you as you paced back and forth in front of her, an amused expression creeping its way onto her face.
“Hey.” Mizu began but you could barely hear her over the sound of your own voice.
“You could’ve picked anyone else to start getting close with and I would’ve been fine with it. I mean I don’t control who you can and cannot be close with, but him? Seriously?” You continued.
“Hey.” Mizu repeated, once again trying to get your attention to no avail.
“I mean, you could do so much better. The guy who bullied you for years on end? Oh please, even I would be a better candidate than him, not that I’m saying I should be, but I could be-”
“Stop talking.” Mizu had raised her voice just enough for you to finally hear her and take the hint. You immediately stopped yourself and looked at her with a shocked expression. You had gotten so lost in your thoughts you almost forgot you were ranting to her in the first place. You watched as Mizu’s stern expression shifted to one of a more… smug nature as she stared at you, her eyes looking at you from just above the rim of her glasses so you could see the color in its entirety.
“Are you… jealous?” Mizu asked, an amused smile very evident on her face as she slightly turned to you. Your head shot towards her direction as you opened your mouth to protest but nothing came out.
She was right, you were jealous. Really jealous. You had gotten so lost in your hatred towards Taigen you had forgotten to take a step back and realize how stupid your actions looked.
“I just… don’t think he’s right for you.” You muttered, crossing your arms in defiance as you averted your gaze. You weren’t looking at her but you could tell the woman was just staring at you with a very plain look, a look that probably said something along the lines of ‘are you serious?’
“Not right for me?” She asked, placing her dish down on the ground before looking back up at you. Once she had looked back towards you she had realized you still weren't looking at her, and that wasn’t going to do.
“Look at me.” She demanded. Her tone was not harsh but she was quite stern about it. You did as she said without another question, turning your head to look at her even though you wanted to do anything else but that at the moment.
“What do you mean he’s not right for me?” She asked again, wanting a serious answer out of you.
“I saw the two of you… last night. When you were sparring. I saw how you looked at him and I just. I don’t think he’s a good choice for you.” You admitted. You felt so stupid, couldn’t you have just kept your mouth shut and moved on like an adult. Why did you have to be so petty about someone who didn’t even reciprocate your feelings? You were friends, why would you become anything more than that?
She didn’t say anything in response, she simply stared at you as she usually did, but this time her staring made you feel so small. You already felt guilty about feeling this way and now that you had actually said it out loud to Mizu’s face and all she was doing was staring, it made the feeling unbearable. You wanted to cry, but you wouldn't dare to, not now. To risk looking even more childish than you do already? You’d rather die.
“Then who do you think would be a better choice?” She inquired, earning nothing more than a shrug from you. You had said what you needed and you feared if you said anything more you would dig yourself into a deeper hole. “Come on, you don’t have anyone in mind?”
She was teasing you.
She wasn’t mad?
Why was she playing into this, why wasn’t she upset with you placing your own opinions on her feelings.
“I don’t know… literally anyone else?” You responded quietly, not really wanting to answer the question.
“What, like you?” She retorted with a playful scoff.
“I didn’t say that.” You denied, quite defensively one might add.
“Yes you did.” She corrected.
“You heard me wrong.”
“Really?”
“Yes.”
“I heard you wrong.” She repeated, confirming the fact that you were actually trying to play that card.
You nodded.
“So you didn’t say, ‘even I would be a better candidate than him’.”
Well, she got you there, Those were in fact the words you said. You were in too deep to go back now so you committed to your sense of denial full force.
“Where are you getting these words from?” You tried to play dumb, obviously it wasn’t going to work.
“Don’t try to lie to me, I heard you say them.”
“I wasn’t saying that I would be the only candidate, I was just using myself as an example. I’m not saying that you’d have to pick me over him I’m just saying that in the grand scheme of things I just-” You had begun to ramble yet again. You couldn't stop yourself, you felt like everything you wanted to say needed a further explanation to make it not sound as bad as it did. Luckily, this rant was cut very short.
“Hey.” Mizu said, very quickly getting you to shut up unlike the last few times. This time however, she was much closer than she was before. Much, much, closer. You hadn’t noticed that throughout the entire duration of your little banter match, she had slowly made her way towards you and you had absentmindedly been backing away from her. Well, that was until you couldn’t back up any more. Now she was standing no more than a few mere inches away from you, her hands had managed to slither their way onto your waist, holding you in place.
“What…” You whispered. You didn’t know what else to do with yourself, you felt as if you could melt into a puddle right then and there as you stared into her eyes. Her eyes however, had not stayed focused on yours, and instead began to travel around to other areas of your face. You had never really seen this side of her. There would be no reason to really, unless she truly felt the same way.
There wouldn’t be any logic behind Mizu just messing with you to mess with you, she only ever really put up fronts for people she needed information from, and the only information you had was how much you wanted her in that exact moment. You would never say that outloud though.
“Stop talking.” She whispered back, her eyes almost entirely focused on your lips as she very slowly neared you. You couldn’t hold yourself back, moving yourself forward and making the move to seal the kiss yourself.
Words wouldn’t be able to accurately describe how you felt in that moment. Neither of you truly expected it, but the kiss had become a lot more heated way faster than you truly expected. Turns out you both had buried feelings that were going to be known one way or another. Your hands had made their way to Mizu’s hair and her hands had begun to travel away from your waist. Once you had eventually parted from the kiss, you both looked almost surprised that any of that truly happened.
Mizu laughed a bit to herself as she looked at you.
“You know, Jealousy looks good on you.” she said before you rolled your eyes,
“Stop talking.” Was all you said before continuing where you left off.

can I get the main characters of blue eye samurai with a innocent fem reader? I loved your Arcane innocent reader <3
Coming right up!
Blue Eye Samurai X Innocent Fem! Reader
Characters: Mizu, Taigen, Ringo and Ito Akemi
Tags: Friends to lovers, workers to lovers, brothel, overprotective boyfriend/girlfriend, yandere themes, Ringo being Ringo, fluff, toxic(?) and open ending.
Warning: SFW
A/N: I'm so happy Blue Eye Samurai is getting the recognition it deserves! Who would you date? I'd get with Mizu or Taigen.
Mizu
Tumblr media
“The stars are out tonight?... I can barely see them… It’s okay. At least I can see you… You’re beautiful…”
At first, Mizu found you to be as annoying like Ringo. You weren’t as annoying, but it was infuriating to travel with someone who was so fragile and couldn’t even defend themselves. She was surprised that with your demeanor you weren’t in a brothel or married to the next idiot of a samurai. She kept you at a distance, arm's length. But someway. Somehow. You slithered into her good graces and touched her heart.
When you two became a couple, Mizu began to treat you like a porcelain doll. If a man tried to touch you, their hand would be severed from their body in seconds. If someone bad-mouthed you, their tongue was cut out. Suddenly, you found yourself becoming a precious jewel to Mizu instead of a nuisance. During down time, she always checks up on you to see if you’re okay. Expect her to check if you have a temperature, if you’re hungry or thirsty. She wished deep down she could give up her mission to live a perfect life with you because that’s what you deserve. But promising such a thing is hard. At least for now, she has you and she will savor the time you both have together.
Taigen
Tumblr media
“That was pretty cool, huh? You know I can teach you a thing or two if you say please… Haha! You’re cute when you pout!”
Unlike Mizu, Taigen found you to be a breath of fresh air on his journey to assist Mizu. He enjoyed how you were so pure in a world that was getting colder by the day. For a second, he was fearful of pursuing anything with you because of his relation to Akemi. But as the days went by and word started spreading fast of his lover’s affairs, the more Taigen lost hope in any future he could have with her. However, he gained hope in a future painted for you two.
Taigen is a mix of a man child and an amazing boyfriend when you two become a couple. He will tease you whenever you are being cute unintentionally or when you mess up doing something. It’s only because he loves your reactions to his commentary. He will also teach you how to protect yourself, preferably with a dagger. If you master using one, he’ll have you use a sword, but even then he’ll be a bit concerned it’s too much for you. On the battlefield, if he’s not showing off and winking at you after every kill, he’s quick to protect you from any harm. Let’s admit it. Taigen can be a pain in the ass. But he’s a great boyfriend.
Ringo
Tumblr media
“You really think I can be a great samurai?! Then I’m going to train hard for both of us- I’ll be the greatest samurai for me and you!”
Ringo is a sweetheart. He didn’t expect to go on this journey to end up with a girlfriend, so when he scored one with you, you can imagine his surprise. He didn’t think much at first admittedly, but the more you kissed his cheek, nuzzled into his body on cold nights and threw him words of endearment, the more it settled. And boy did he adore having the title of being your amazing boyfriend!
With someone now to take care of, Ringo pushes himself to be an amazing samurai. He’s more persistent with his master to teach him how to use a sword and possess honor. He’ll even go as far as to ask Taigen to assist him if he can! Whenever he learns something new, he’s excitedly telling you all about it. If he finds anything interesting, he’s grabbing you gently to share it with you. If you’re looking for a ball of sunshine who’s both your friend and partner, look no further than Ringo.
Ito Akemi
Tumblr media
“My darling. We will make our own path, away from this prejudice, these men- Everything that’s ever hurt us. That’s ever hurt you… You will never be hurt again. I swear it.”
Akemi knows all too well how it feels to be used and thrown away for your body if not your status. So when she met you at the brothel, she immediately clicked with you. She found your personality to be contagious along with your laughter. She spent every moment staring into your eyes filled with life, gently caressing your smooth skin just to make sure you were still there with her in this hell. You were the most beautiful flower she’s ever seen. You were a flower she couldn’t afford to be tainted.
She didn’t know why she fell for a woman or if it was a curse, but she loved you. She loved you enough to run away and spend as much life as she could with you until she was found by her father. But even then, nothing could hold her down. She was a princess who laid eyes on a commoner she wanted. That she needed. And no one would get in her way of having them. Of having you. She would destroy everything and bathe Japan in flames if it meant she could keep you in her warm embrace. She’d turn everyone into her enemy if you could be her lover. She’d be the villain if you were her savior… And that’s exactly what she was going to do.
If you got any requests for Blue Eye Samurai, send them my way!
Likes and retweets are always appreciated! I love you all, stay hydrated and have a good day! <3

current!mizu as your lover headcannons
- Has a soft spot for you 🎀 + acts nicer to you unlike with others
- Makes her jealousy CLEAR in front of Taigen ESPECIALLY when he chats with you in a ‘jokingly flirty’ manner
- When recovering at Swordsmotj Eiji’s home, she made sure she looked and acted better than Taigen 😭
^ Bro would swing her katana here and there just to have that “holy shit that’s so hot” effect on you
- “Why did you laugh at his joke? He isn’t that funny..” / “His sword skills are trash.” / “Should’ve left him at Fowler’s..”
- Sits on each other’s lap (I’ll give the freedom to the reader to decided whether they’re shorter or taller than mizu!)
^ especially in cold weather where they’ll share her cloak around each other and breathe on each others’ neck
- Enjoys it when you playfully train with her despite how much of a DUMBASS you are at it
- Literally dedicated time to learn from Ringo how to make simple snacks (bc she can’t cook for the life of her 💀)
- When you are sleeping, she’d bring your hand up to kiss like those ‘gentlemen.’ Prince Mizu au?
-Tilts her straw hat down to her face when she blushes at you bc god, she’s a nervous mess
- Daydreams about the future with you.. kids, a house, marriage, being not the same bad every night…
- Writes your name on trees using her blade
^ you know she’s down bad when she sacrifices her sword for you
- “(Y/n), have you ever considered marriage? Oh, no? Ah I see, I see… Nope, nope no reason!..”

Possessive Mizu x reader
Tumblr media
I wouldn't say she's an aggressive possessive person she would just get really touchy and needy
She would NEVER admit she was jealous when your talking to other people but you can see it on her face with her infamous pout
She would stare at you once your done talking to someone.
Who was that.
What?....
I used to be her neighbor. Why what's wrong?
Then she would just grumble and continue walking
It always annoyed you when she didn't tell you what's wrong
Always touching you. Wither it be holding you by the shoulder or your hand as if she were leading you somewhere. Not wanting to make her actions obvious in public.
But when you two are alone at an inn
She WANTS to make it OBVIOUS how much she loves you
She understands boundaries and what she can and can not do
Although she sees herself as one she's not a monster
Hair down and glasses off as she hovers over you touching you all over
Her touchs are always gentle but needy and wanting more
Using the tips of her fingers to run over all your curves
And once she's done with you it's like it never happened :)
Ringo would always be really confused on your guys relationship because Mizu threatened you not to tell him
Even tho her hand was around your waist WHAT? YOUR NOT DATING! YOUR CRAZY
Has she killed people for you. Yes maybe
Yall you should see her when you and Taigen are talking
This mf growling like a dog.
Why is HE making you laugh?
Why are you so close?
That should be her not that idiot
And after staring at you guys from afar for like 20 minutes Ringo distracts Taigen and she snags you up
Pinning you to a tree and practically interrogating you
She doesn't mean to act like this and put the smallest bit of fear in you. She hates it actually
But after what happened with Mikio. She can't lose another lover
Especially someone as lovely as you
But little did she now it's a turn on when she has you backed into a corner 🤷‍♀️

Your Father's Daughter
Mizu x Reader story
Tumblr media
Word count: 2.5k
Chapter 3
You had told your father everything you had heard that night about this mysterious blue eyed samurai who had begun plaguing Japan. The whole time it seemed your father was unaffected by the information you were telling him. When you told him about the rumor that he had killed another white man in the country his response was  “So that’s what happened to him.”
Unaffected. Unmoved. Like a rock against the tides of the ocean, your father was.
You always found inspiration in your father’s stability when it came to situations where the ordinary person would crumble. For years, you watched him as his shadow and adopted as many traits as you could. You learned how to not be quick to anger; putting it away to be used for greater purposes at another time. You learned when and where to use information given to you; only showing your cards when necessary and even then only a few.  He taught you that everything was a game, and everyone was playing it whether they wanted to or not. Compared to your biological mother, your father was more of a parent to you than she could ever be. You found yourself grateful for falling at the wheels of his carriage.
That night doesn't rise in your memory very often as you are too busy to truly sit down and recollect it; going over the details. It is a painful memory, the fear,the different scents and tastes in the air,  the fire erupting from your childhood house and the screaming of your mother. Your mother who had abandoned you. If it wasn't for the kindness and mercy that found your fathers heart that night, if it was just his worker who showed that night and he had stayed behind like he planned to that evening, you would be ashes. He told you a few years ago how he felt moved to come along on this trip, to “make sure things went in order.” It felt spiritual the way he told the story of your meeting, like it was a connection meant to be. Maybe his God had moved him that night, or maybe it was a coincidence, but he had saved your life with a few words and a kneel, changing it for the better. He didn't know how bad it was before. And you believed him never bothering to ask was a way of moving on from the past, and focusing on the brighter future that lies ahead. You don’t think on it as much as it has been years, but sometimes the nightmares would creep in. Unwanted guests lying in your bed to keep you company that was never requested.
Your mother throwing you to the floor, of her slipping into the room you all shared with strange men, her ignoring your presence for days at a time. These memories shifted and morphed into horrific monsters in the wind right before your closed lids, threatening to overcome you, threatening to take you back. The first time these new nightmares started revealing themselves to you, you would wake with a cold sweat. You had learned not to scream as screaming would wake your mother and siblings, and that would get you hurt. Grabbing at the new bed sheets that stuck to your skin, you would attempt to ground yourself in this new environment. So young, and very scared. You hadn't known your new father for very long at this point, so you didn't feel comfortable going to him for help just yet. You just needed to put your feet on the ground, you had thought to yourself. To step outside, to breathe.
The house was large which was not what you were used to at all. Every corner had a corner, and behind every sliding door there was a room you had never seen before. It was hard to keep track of it all. You used your senses and listened for the sound of the night, to find a door that led you outside. The night offered you a sense of peace and relief that your bed had not. It was more familiar than anything in this new home. Than these new clothes, these new routines, this new guardian. Everything was so different, but not the night. The night rarely changes. You decided to find it, wherever it was.
Wandering the halls, you began searching for any doors that lead to outside. When you finally spotted it, you felt relief but only briefly as right before that doorway there was a room lit up with the voices of a few men coming from it. The thought of walking by it gave you a cold anxious feeling. You couldnt imagine getting into trouble this early in your new life, and this man was still a stranger to you. What he was capable of was beyond your imagination. As you approached the door, subconsciously shifting your breathing to sneak past the room, you couldn't help but listen in.
“I still think that we should have beaten more out of her. She must have known more than she was willing to let out.”
“That’s probably why the whore threw the child at us. All due respect to your decisions, Sir, but what are you going to do with it?” That was the voice of the man who had walked out the flame that night, lighting his pipe on the way out.
The room was uncomfortably quiet and it teased at your curiosity. You dared not peak your head so you wouldn't be caught, but it seemed that didn't matter.
“If there’s anything you need me to change, do tell me.” His voice startled you. You could feel it cross the room, directly towards you behind the wall you were using to hide yourself. His accent was still something you were getting used to, as new to you as this home was. You had never heard one like it before, but it went along with the smooth base of his voice. “I do want you to get some sleep.”
At this point you realized hiding was useless. You peaked your head inwards slightly, still hidden behind the wall. If he were to throw anything your way for your disobedience, it wouldn't hit you as hard, you thought. If you kept your distance, he couldn't grab you and shake you the way your mother would, you thought again. There was little time to run back to your room, and no time to regret coming out of it; You braced yourself for the punishment you were to receive.
His back was turned to you, but the three men were all facing the door now, all shocked at your presence and how sudden it was. All but him seemed to be unaware of your lurking.
“We’ll discuss more in the morning. Get some rest, gentlemen.” They looked at him with puzzled expressions before shuffling to the door, glancing at you before slipping off into the dark. You thought to leave as well when you heard him beckon you into the room. This was it. He was going to shut the door behind him so the others in the house wouldn't hear you, or maybe he’d leave the door open so everyone could as a warning for disobedience. That’s fine, you thought, you had slightly mastered the skill of crying silently. Your mother didn't like hearing you cry out from punishments, it made her angrier, so you learned to be as silent as your tears. Whatever was in store for you, you prayed it would be quick.
“Is your room to your liking?” he asked.
“Everything is..'' you didn't know what word to use to describe your room. The newness of it all still overcame you.
“New.” He finished it for you. You nodded. He finally turned to face you, his gaze lowering to meet your eyes. You studied each other. His face only portrayed relaxation. A subtle understanding.
“You will get used to it in time. This is your home now, little mouse.” That was the first time he had used that name for you, and just like the words he spoke to you the night you lost your family, these ones washed over you, sweeping you away in its waves of comfort.
“Come. Sit.” and you listened, shuffling to him as quickly as you could as to not send him into any sudden burst of anger. You sat on your knees in front of him and let him examine you. Blue’s you had never seen before as an eye color.
“Are they keeping you up?”
His sudden question caught you off guard, the puzzledness spreading onto your face. You didnt receive a lot of questions as a child. Children were to be seen, not heard. Except for you who was not to be gifted either. That required attention, which your mother did not spare a lot for you.
“Your nightmares?” You understood his question at this point and responded with a small nod. How he was able to tell that you were experiencing a restless night was beyond you, but it made you feel seen. A bond was forming, and you dared to deepen it.
“Do they keep you up too?” you managed to peep out, trying to be as quiet as the night.
“I don’t have them.” he states “"Nightmares are simply the mind trying to fill in the gaps when you don't have a true wish. One should find one and fall asleep to the thought. Only then will your rest truly be fulfilled."
You nodded to show that you were listening, but you didn't quite understand what he meant. You decided the testing waters were warm enough for you to place another foot in.
“Do you dream?”
His face didn't change, but his body did. He turned slightly, reaching for a piece behind him before approaching you. He lowered himself now, sitting at your level, and held the piece between his and your face.
“I don’t need to. I create my own.” he said with a smile warm enough to compete with the burning fireplace. Your eyes widened with awe and curiosity as they looked from him to the piece.  Dreams that came to you involuntarily during slumber, he could create them. How could a man create his own dreams?
“How?” You heard a whisper slip out of you like a breath.
He chuckled quietly, like it was a secret being shared between you two.
“In time, you will see. For now,” he lifted your arm that fit in the palm of his hand and outstretched your fingers to place the piece he was holding. It was the sun.
“Dream of everything you wish to be and have, because soon you will need to become strong enough to take it, and rely on my wisdom to guide you."
You retracted your silent prayer from earlier. You had even forgotten that you had come out of your  room to let the cold of the night wash over you. All you needed at the moment was right before you. The warmth of the sun that lied within a stranger.
It was this same stranger that you found yourself convincing years later to let you go on this mission. You father was the one who planned things, pointing his finger for you to follow wherever they lead. You were a piece on his board for him to place wherever he saw fit as his decision was always the best decision; and yet here you were giving him a suggestion.
“It would be like any other assignment, Father. All I need is eyes on this samurai. I can gather what I know, and bring it back to you with ease.” You spoke confidently. It isn't like you haven't done this before. You won’t even kill the man, not until your father spoke. Then you’d kill him without hesitation.
Your father was quiet for a minute, staring at you before sighing and lowering his head. Uncrossing his arms, he leaned over and placed his elbows on his knees. With one hand, he beckoned you over with a flick of his finger. You drew closer and stood in front of him at ease.
“ He’ll never know I was there, but you’ll know everything.”
“Not all gossip is true word. Kamiizumi was a horrible gossip.” He spoke
“Yes,” you agreed. You never wanted to argue with your father, but you felt this was important.
“But you taught me it is better to know than to not.”
“It is better to know than to not.” He agreed with his own teachings being spoken through you.
“I want to know if you have anything to worry about, Father. I want to know who this man is so I can bring him back to you. So you can know.” You stepped closer, and kneeled. Your face below his, looking up into his eyes, you reached for his wrist to gently rest your hand on top.
“I want to know if I can be of any help to you, Father. To your dream.”
At first you thought your words weren’t getting to him as his face didn't seem to change, but then he closed his eyes and sighed again.
“You aren't to kill him.”
“Yes, Father.” You tried to not let the excitement show in your voice. You had made a suggestion, and your father had listened.
“Do not interact with him at all.” He stated, and you nodded. You stood up, ready for him to dismiss you before he reached for your wrist this time. He held onto it before stroking his thumb over the bones that peered under.
“ Come back to me with everything you know.”
 You rested your hand over his, stopping his soothing motion.
“I will come back to you regardless of what I know.”
~
You never pack heavy on assignments like these. You need to be able to move lightly, and as quietly as possible. Your weapons hid well on your person, easy to reach and hard to spot. You have a few daggers on you, commissioned and crafted to perfection. They have never failed you once. They were your weapon of your choice as it was your father who taught you how to use those first. Great for close distance, but even better for long distant combat. Keeping the target as far from you as possible helped when escaping, especially if they were larger in size. He also taught you how to use a gun, a new weapon created by his people, and you could use one just fine but you preferred your sharp objects. Quiet, and reliable. A few other items and you were on your way.
 That night was when you decided to take off. The earlier the better as you could cover more ground. You had no information on where this samurai would be, and even less on what he looked like. You only knew one important detail; that his eyes were blue. Like your fathers. You made sure to pass his study on the way out, and like usual, he felt your presence. He turned to catch sight of you leaving, your eyes never breaking from his. It wouldn't be the last time your (E/C)  met his blues, you always told yourself before an assignment. As you were slipping into the night a slight thought crossed your mind. Is there a chance, even if it was a small possibility, that the two were connected.

Mizu realising she's in love/a lesbian [Headcanons!!]
Tumblr media
(A/N: I feel like this is like... already a given but please remember that these are HEADCANONS!! She does not have a canon sexuality. And I know it's mostly the lesbians who haven taken over the show but my content is available for everyone to see and I wanted to remind everyone that I am not going to tolerate slander or trash talking because of a personal opinion. You are entitled to your thoughts and I am entitled to mine.)
Possible TWs!!: Mentions of sex and sexual encounters, M*kio (you cannot stop me from putting this man as a warning I hate him sm), Canon typical violence, Racisim, Homophobia, Mysogyny (did I spell that right??)
Firstly I wanna address her relationship with Mikio in order to fully understand my headcanons.
Personally I do not believe that Mizu actually "loved" Mikio in the romantic sense. She thought she was in love, but in the end it wasn't.
Speaking as someone with a lot of personal trauma regarding relationships myself I realised that I couldn't differentiate between romantic and platonic love. Basically, for me, all I saw was that someone was treating me nicely for once and now I'm attached to them. And for the longest time I thought that was what love was.
And I think Mizu experienced something similar.
Basically, when Mikio treated her like a fucking human being she was like "oh, hey this is nice. This is weird, but it's nice. So I guess I'm in love, right?"
Like, no, baby. You aren't. That's just called emotional trauma.
That's also why she thought she was straight for the longest time because she genuinely cannot tell when she likes someone romantically.
As I often restate it'll take a while for her to fully understand the extent of her emotions, but she'll get there.
Now onto the fluffier stuff :))
~~~
How does she realise she's in love? What's her reaction to it?
I think she gets hit with the realisation as if it were a train crashing into her.
It's just a normal evening, she's probably at a ramen shop with her future S/O with her and then as she's taking a bite of her ramen she looks over at you and thinks: "Huh... I wonder what it would be like if I got to hold them?"
And then it's just a record scratch moment for her where she's like wtf where did that come from.
It's either just normal domestic moment like I mentioned or her future S/O sparring with her (which may or not freak her out bc of the fucking Mikio incident).
But when Mizu successfully pins her S/O down they just laugh and smile, knowing Mizu would never hurt them on purpose.
That made Mizu's heart flutter more than anything Mikio had ever done for her.
She's going to be in denial about it for a long time. Like... a really, really long time. Cue the "but we're just friends"!
How does she react when she realises she's into girls?
Due to the internalized homophobia instilled within her as a child and other such thoughts she starts to think she may be going crazy.
She'll start to pull away out of fear, not truly understanding her emotions.
Which, of course, will hurt her future S/O and cause them to worry.
Seeing her future S/O so distraught kind of triggers something in her. She realises that there's nothing inherently wrong with her, that she's still a person and the person she likes is still a person and that there shouldn't be anything wrong with liking her S/O. She also just didn't like seeing you worry over her, it hurt her more than any blade that she's been stabbed with.
Now onto her actual physical attraction.
Once the whole emotional side of it is somewhat sorted in her mind she finds herself not so subtly staring at her S/O's tatas.
She doesn't strike me as someone with high libido or anything despite what I've seen a lot of headcanons say. But I think shes the kind of lover to enjoy getting her S/O off a lottttt
I don't believe she was ever really attracted to Mikio sexually but seeing her S/O's kimono slip off their shoulder to reveal some titty has her red and hot.
She likes that it's soft. She really likes the softness of her S/O's body.
(A/N: That's all!! I feel like I was terribly self-indulgent with this one but there are a lot of aspects in which I relate to Mizu with. Which is probably why I care a lot about representing her correctly. As usual, feel free to comment or send asks to my inbox!! I hope y'all enjoyed <33)
So there's a theory circulating around that Mizu's parentage is the opposite of what we've come to assume, which I'm sure many have already heard about.
When it was revealed that the "mother" who cares for Mizu was not her biological mother, but a maid who was paid off to hide Mizu away from those who'd kill her. So her mother might still be out there, somewhere. But what if her European heritage was maternal? That instead of being ashamed of having fathered a mixed bastard, one of the white men's wives/lovers decided to have an affair with a man in Japan, resulting in Mizu's birth and the threats to her life.
This could add so much more drama into the mix.
Because then the possibility is that both her parents might still be alive. Her mother returned to Europe, leaving behind money to Mizu's caretaker to ensure her safety. Her father might be in hiding, trying to distance himself away from Mizu and the White Men as to not endanger them all. He might even be plotting his own brand of vengeance.
Some have proposed that Mizu is the daughter of the late Shogun, who died in the flames. That he hid Mizu away due to the shame of his own hypocrisy; the law that bans Europeans from your shores would easily be undermined due to dealing with them in business, as well as having an affair with one of the men's own lovers. I'm a little shaky on this, but it'd be another neat way to complete the tritagonist status of Mizu, Akemi and Taigen.
Akemi is born privileged and now must climb up the hierarchy of the shogunate. Hers is a story of power, politicking, and the poison of court.
Taigen is born from nothing but rises high above his station, only to lose it all and try again. A tale of honor and self-actualisation.
And Mizu is a child born with immense wealth, but cast aside due to her heritage and appearance. Stripped of everything, now she only seeks satisfaction.
A simple, bloody road to vengeance.
Her father could just be a Ronin. A samurai in court. A farmer. Etc.
Whatever the case, it'd be a really sick twist if done correctly. That in the end, the vengeance she believes she's been chasing all this time has been all for nothing. Like painting but with missing colors, preventing her from fully grasping the true artistry of her goal.
Or this could just be a crackpot theory. Idk.
