thinking about marinette and how passionate about sustainable fashion she would be. always keeping scraps of fabric to use as stuffing or fibers so she never wastes anything- donating all the clothes she doesn't wear anymore or that doesn't fit her personally to children and women's shelters so she knows they aren't being redistributed for greed- buying from local artists and designers and seamstresses to support their small businesses- teaching her friends and family how to patch holes in clothes or how to properly wash and take care of them so less clothing is thrown out in her community :')

derision was an excellent episode imo and i enjoy both marinette and adrien's character a lot, the development was great and i love learning more about these two and how they react/behave in situations. i even love seeing the sides of adrien that aren't "perfect" like his anger was so good to see bc he is someone who isn't really allowed to express his emotions much

as a person with audhd i relate a lot to marinette and was also relentlessly bullied in my youth for being the "weird kid" so it's almost comforting to be able to relate to her more in that regard. also considering that it seems (in my opinion, not canon ig) she has adhd as well im just very glad to have a character like her that i can see myself in that is also very smart, determined, strong, and feminine

anyway i really love this bug and cat show 10/10

To all the people who hate the s5 finale and insist on dumping their negative takes on posts that are being POSITIVE and OPTIMISTIC about the finale:

If I took a shot every time I come across a post or a tweet or a reply talking about how Adrien has the right to know that his father was also the enemy, I’d be poisoned 1000x over.

YES.

He does have the right to know!

But this knowledge will also simultaneously crush him and destroy him completely with the circumstances he is in now! Marinette has been put in a hard place once again and has chosen to keep him in the dark BECAUSE she wants him to be happy! It is in her character to make decisions that would keep the people she loves happy whether it’ll blow up in her face in the future or not! 

Nathalie knew Gabriel was Monarque. Felix knew Gabriel was Monarque. Kagami knew Gabriel was Monarque. AND NEITHER OF THESE THREE HAVE BEEN VERY OPEN ABOUT THE TRUTH EITHER.

Marinette’s priority has always been to keep her loved ones safe and sound and she has lied in the past about things (especially regarding her identity) to keep them happy. You think she’s gonna turn around to Adrien and be like “Oh by the way, your father is the one who terrorised the city and the entire world whilst abusing the butterfly miraculous lol”?????

So easily????

To summarise. The decision she made is not an easy one and it is unfair too BUT we can see WHY she did it.

I see there's a new post on AO3 on AI and data scraping, the contents of which I would describe as a real mixed bag, and the sheer number of comments on it is activating my self-preservation instincts too much for me to subject myself to reading through them. Instead I'm thinking about how much daylight there is between does or doesn't constitute a TOS violation and what does or doesn't violate community norms, and how AO3 finally rolled out that blocking and muting feature recently, and how I think it would be good, actually, if most people's immediate reaction to seeing a work that announces itself as being the product of generative AI was to mute the user who posted it.

That's my reaction, anyway!

These people are geniuses, and morons, and absolutely unhinged, and it's an amazing plot twist and plot device, and it's the worst thing in the show ever, and it makes so much sense with the way the show has been going, and it is absolutely ridiculous for the show as a whole, and it's stalling, and it's moving forward in a whole new direction, and I hate them so much, and I fucking love it here, and UUUGGGGHHHHHHHH
