A mock-woven knitted Renaissance Festival bag. Made it to complete RenFest look #1!

This is one of the first projects I designed myself (mostly, see below). I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out! The strap can be lengthened or removed completely. I’m thinking of adding some loops on the back so it can hang from a belt, as well. But that’s for another day!

I referenced the "Easy Knit Messenger Bag" by Lorna Miser to learn how to fold the fabric into its final shape. The rest of the design was improvised.

It's the last day. The last day of the Renaissance Festival. It's all over, at least for this year. The fair is full of laughter, tears, joy, happiness, and all things that make those who love it happy. Photography is preserving a moment in time. A moment in time that will never come again. I had a blast at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival this past weekend! Got to play with some of my new makeup and then got my hair braided by Jay at the Fantasy Hairweavings booth. Took my bro and his family to Ren Fest and realized I took no pics of them. But it was the first time going for my husband.

His other firsts today:

--first shooting a bow and arrow

(Didn't get a pic of him but got one of him helping kiddo)

--first time riding an elephant (kiddo's too)

--first time watching a joust (Huzzah! For Dame Eleanor!)

As for me, it was my first time spotting another Moonshine cosplayer :) I didn't get a pic, but she looked every bit the fabulous Fungal Queen.

It was my second time going to Ren Fest this year and I realize there were still so many things I didn't see or do. I wanna go back!
