Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX - An overview of Operation V
In the alternate history presented in Mobile Suit Gundam GquuuuuuX, the events leading up to September 18th, 0079 were largely identical to the history of the Universal Century as it is conventionally known.
When presented with evidence that the Principality of Zeon was developing new weapons systems, the Earth Federation initially dismissed them as nothing but "toy robots". After suffering heavy losses at the hands of these new Mobile Suits however, the Federation quickly began pooling resources and manpower into its own Mobile Suit development program, known as Operation V or the RX Project.
The RX Project consisted of three types of Mobile Suit, each intended to compliment the others:
The RX-75 Guntank - A long-range weapons platform with a heavy focus on artillery and indirect-fire support. The machine featured a pair of massive railguns, as well as a pair of four-tube missile launchers for mid-range engagements. A unique feature of the GquuuuuuX Guntank is the bottom-mounted tracks on the railguns which allow the unit's arms to slide up and down to function as a crane. By UC 0085(GqX), the Guntank frame has largely been repurposed for civilian and industrial applications. While it's unconfirmed if the Guntank made use of the Core Block system, it's more than likely to share that feature with its mainline Universal Century counterpart.

The RX-77 Guncannon - A mid-range platform with an emphasis on direct fire support. The machine was equipped with a pair of high-output beam cannons in its back, as well as a beam rifle for use at mid-to-close range. This Mobile Suit also made use of the Core Block system, allowing its cockpit to function as an escape craft. The Guncannon was also equipped with a series of hardpoints capable of mounting optional equipment. In a departure from its mainline Universal Century counterpart, the cannons on its back were changed from projectile-based cannons to beams. Notably, this Mobile Suit participated in the first MS v. MS combat in history, which turned out to be rather anticlimactic.

The RX-78-1 Gundam - A highly versatile platform intended mainly for close-range combat, and the centerpiece of the RX Project. The unit was equipped with a beam rifle as its primary armament, with beam sabers mounted on its backpack for melee engagements. Optionally, the unit could also be equipped with a Hyper Bazooka, a mobile-suit sized rocket launcher. The Gundam was also built with hardpoints for optional equipment, and made use of the Core Block system.

The RX-78-2 Gundam - A refinement of the original prototype, the RX-78-2 featured an updated color scheme and a number of minor changes. It would come to be known as the "White Gundam". This machine would be captured by Maj. Char Aznable during a raid on Side 7, and be reverse-engineered by Principality of Zeon. This Mobile Suit also participated in the first MS v. MS combat in history, which - again - turned out to be rather anticlimactic.

In addition to these Mobile Suits, the RX Project also included a carrier equipped with facilities specifically designed around them. This carrier would be called the Pegasus. This ship would also be captured by Maj. Char Aznable during the raid on Side 7. In another departure from its mainline Universal Century counterpart (and perhaps a nod to the Gundam novels), the ship is simply called the Pegasus, rather than White Base.

The above machines were designed by Ikuto Yamashita for the 2025 anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, and by Kunio Okawara for the 1979 anime Mobile Suit Gundam.
This is part one of a series on GQuuuuuuX's alternate history MS designs! Part 2 will be released whenever I get around to it! (Hopefully soon!)

HGUC 1/144 P-Bandai Titans Research Prototype Mobile Suit RX-124 "TR-6 [Woundwort]" (XFS Knockoff)
My build for AoZ April - the Woundwort from Advance of Zeta - Flag of the Titans!! I was flirting with picking up a TR-6 for a few months but the shipping price on top of the already high P-Bandai markup made me reluctant. Luckily XFS had a knockoff for less than a quarter of the price!
I've built a kit from XFS before, the GM Spartan. Just like that kit, this bootleg is pretty high quality, definitely on par with Bandai, with pretty much no flashing and no more mould lines than an actual Bandai kit. However I did find that the tolerances were a lot worse, with some pegs being a little too large for their slots, requiring a decent amount of glue to hold everything in place. Unfortunately this messed up part of the Mobile Armour transformation but it doesn't prevent it luckily.
Just like the GM Spartan, the XFS Woundwort comes with a set of high quality water decals, although I couldn't find an application guide and so just made up my own placement which hopefully looks balanced.

The kit itself is a really neat design, with some cool features that minimize parts-forming for the transformation and lend the suit a unique silhouette.
Lorewise the TR-6 was a test platform for a lot of technology that never made it into later designs and the unique look helps to emphasize this. The small dainty feet with fold-down sections resembling an Armored Core's landing gear rather than feet, the twin Minovsky Fusion power plants in the thighs rather than a single one in the chest, and the massive Long Beam Rifle/Claw make the Woundwort unlike anything else in Gundam.
It's not a particularly big model, standing at around the height of the Mk-II, but the Long Beam Rifle/Claw definitely takes up most of the kit's display space.

The colour separation was pretty good, only missing some purple on the heat blades on the beam rifle and the tips of the shoulder stabilizers. There are colour correction stickers for these but I opted to just paint them. I think they turned out really well, you can't see the brush marks at all. There's also enough shiny foil stickers in green for all the sensors as well as eyes (which are unfortunately hidden behind the nose-cone), and a yellow one for the federation "v" on the front skirt, which I also ended up just painting. I also painted the red details on the arms and booster nozzles, as well as the really cool red fingertips, and the red targeting sensor on the beam rifle (which is gloss coated to look like the metallic stickers). There are also some yellow details on the legs that need painting on, which are visible in the Mobile Armour mode.

This kit comes with two open hands and two open fist options, as well as the Long Beam Rifle/Claw in its Rifle Form, with extra parts and a stiff wire to convert it to the sub-arm mounted Claw Form.

There's also an extra "folded" torso that allows the parts to be folded and rearranged into the TR-6's Mobile Armour mode. I painted some of the details onto this, but it's really not visible at all, unfortunately. The little extra winglets also slip on for Mobile Armour mode but I'm not sure where they're supposed to be stored in Mobile Suit mode.

Overall, I had a lot of fun with this knockoff. It's almost as good as I imagine the P-Bandai version is, although I'm sure it'd be a lot easier to pose with better fitting parts. If you're willing to put the work into it, and spend some time figuring out how to put the decals on without a guide, it's a great alternative to the office version and it'll provide a really cool looking addition to any collection.

Happy (Advance of) Zeta April from my Zeta display!!

I'm hoping we can get AoZ April a little more popular on Tumblr, I'd love to see what people come up with.

A-Café (Update #25) - Community Discussion
Good morning everyone! I know it's been a while since I've posted, but I'm finally back with another community update. In the first part, I'll be giving a brief overview of where we're at in terms of project progress. Then, in the second half, we'll discuss a new development in app accessibility.
Without further ado, let's begin!
1) Where are we at in the project currently?
A similar question was asked in the A-Café discord recently, so I figured I'd include my response here as well:
Right now we’re reworking the design of A-Café, both visually and architecturally. The initial planning and design phase of the project wasn’t done very thoroughly due to my inexperience, so now that I’m jumping back into things I want to ensure we have a solid prototype for usability testing. For us that means we’ve recently done/are doing a few things:
analyzing results from the old 2022 user survey (done)
discussing new ideas for features A-Café users might want, based on the 2022 user survey
reevaluating old ideas from the previous app design
making a new mock-up for usability testing
Once the mock-up is finished, I plan on doing internal testing first before asking for volunteer testers publicly (the process for which will be detailed in an upcoming community update).
2) Will A-Café be available for iOS and Android devices?
Yes! In fact, the first downloadable version of A-Café may no longer be so device-specific.
What do I mean by that? Well, in the beginning, the plan for A-Café was to make two different versions of the same app (iOS and Android). I initially chose to do this because device-specific apps are made with that device's unique hardware/software in mind--thus, they have the potential to provide a fully optimized user experience.
However, I've since realized that focusing on device-specific development too soon may not be the right choice for our project.
Yes, top-notch app performance would be a big bonus. But by purely focusing on iOS and Android devices for the initial launch, we'd be limiting our audience testing to specific mobile-users only. Laptop and desktop users for example, would have to wait until a different version of the app was released (which is not ideal in terms of accessibility).
Therefore, I've recently decided to explore Progressive Web App development instead.
[What is a Progressive Web App?]
A Progressive Web App (or PWA) is "a type of web app that can operate both as a web page and mobile app on any device" (alokai.com)
Much like a regular mobile app, a PWA can be found through the internet and added to your phone's home screen as a clickable icon. They can also have the ability to work offline and use device-specific features such as push-notifications.
Additionally, due to being web-based applications, PWAs can be accessed by nearly any device with a web browser. That means regardless of whether you have an iOS or Android device, you'd be able to access the same app from the same codebase.
In the end, a PWA version of A-Café should look and act similarly to an iOS/Android app, while also being accessible to various devices. And, due to having only one codebase, development of PWAs tends to be faster and be more cost-effective than making different versions of the same app.
To be clear, I haven't abandoned the idea of device-specific development entirely. We could launch iOS/Android versions of A-Café in the future if demand or revenue end up being high enough. But as of right now, I don't believe doing so is wise.
[What Does this Mean for me as a User?]
In terms of app installation and user experience, not much should hopefully change. I'd like to have A-Café available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
There will also be the option of searching for A-Café via your device's web browser, and then installing it on your home screen (iOS devices can only do so using Safari). We will likely rely on this method until we can comfortably ensure user access to A-Café on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
-------------
And that's it for now! Thank you for reading this latest community update. For more insight into the development process, consider joining the A-Café discord. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this post, we would love to hear your input in the comments below. See you later!

10 Benefits of Investing in a Custom Software Solution
Businesses are constantly on the lookout for new and better technologies that may streamline and quicken their processes. When doing so, organizations frequently use pre-existing software solutions. However, it's not always easy to find a single piece of software that can handle all of their needs. That's why it's common for businesses to put money into a few different lines.
If you need a unique solution that is tailored to your business's needs, consider investing in custom software development. Using their unique needs as a guide, developers of custom software create programs for businesses and individuals. The banking sector, for instance, employs highly specialized custom software to facilitate consumer access while shielding private information with cutting-edge security measures.
In this article, we'll discuss how custom software development can improve a company's efficiency and bottom line. OK, let's have a peek at it.
Top Reasons to Choose Custom Software Development
Software product customization is a solution that can increase productivity. In addition, adaptability and scalability let you stay ahead of the curve and get an edge over rivals. Your company could benefit in the long run from its use in managing business operations and establishing relationships with external customers, partners, and internal assets.
1. Long-Term Savings
Investing in a software development project may be expensive. However, you won't need to spend everything right away. Custom software development lets you build your product in phases. The minimum viable product (MVP) approach could be taken initially to reduce development costs.

Also, it might help you decide which data-security technology to use and which is best for your business, as well as how to incorporate that technology into your application. Most of the time, clients will trust you more if you use a higher level of security.
4. Flexibility & Scalability
The world of business is always transforming. Therefore, for businesses to stay up with how the market is shifting, they need to adapt. Custom software solutions provide you the flexibility to make adjustments, add new features, update your product, or seek assistance to meet the requirements of your expanding business as it grows and evolves.
Scalability also enables you to prepare for expansion in the future, which allows you to expand your business while simultaneously maintaining the viability of the software application.
5. Maintenance and Technical Support
It is common practice to form collaborations with software development vendors to create custom software. They'll assemble expert programmers to plan, code, and test your program for you.
Also, they employ a specialized development staff for ongoing technical support and app upkeep. Since they created it, they know it inside and out. This means they can keep it running smoothly and assist you in fixing bugs or other problems as they arise.
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are a form of contract that may be included with your vendor contracts to guarantee a certain level of service. The bottom line is that consistent technical support helps keep your company processes running efficiently and effectively, all while minimizing the amount of time you lose to updates.
6. Product Uniqueness
It's becoming increasingly important that businesses have a distinct identity, which can assist them to strengthen their unique selling proposition. By investing in custom software development, your business can meet the needs of its customers and stay true to its character.
Teams specializing in custom software development can produce applications that help businesses achieve their goals. It allows you to select the software development methodology and cutting-edge innovations that will give your app a leg up on the competition. Plus, it gives businesses the chance to develop brand-new items to meet the surging demand.
7. Integrates Easily
Business custom software development has the added benefit of fitting naturally into your existing processes. When a software product is tailor-made to satisfy a company's unique needs, it works in tandem with the rest of its existing applications without causing disruptions.
Not only that, but it will also aid in the optimization of your business process and the improvement of the efficiency of your business workflow. Saving money, speeding up operations, and avoiding frequent defects and other issues during the integration with your existing software product are all possible benefits of custom software solutions.
8. Boost Return On Investment (ROI)
Custom software development services provide exactly what the client needs. So, you won't have to shell out money for unused services or licenses. Therefore, it may end up saving money over time. Furthermore, you will be able to acquire various capabilities for your application that may not be available to your competitors.
As a result, it can bolster your USP (unique selling proposition) and provide you with a significant edge over the competition. Through the use of niche-specific customization in software product development, you may better serve your intended customer. You can expect higher long-term returns and greater consumer participation.
9. Enhance Productivity
No one can deny the positive impact software has on worker output, especially when that software is tailored to meet the specific needs of a certain company. It boosts productivity and gives workers more assurance in their abilities.
In addition, the right software could make it easier for your staff to get their work done faster. It could improve resource management, boost the efficiency of operational procedures, and provide additional financial benefits to your organization.
10. Great User Satisfaction
When it comes to the level of happiness experienced by end users, bespoke software will always score higher than generic software, regardless of whether it was developed for external or internal users.
How? The response is plain to see. It is customized to fulfill their technical requirements to suit their business needs. In addition to this, it is simple to use and was developed to reduce the complexity of running a business, improving efficiency, and turning it into a more profitable investment.
Wrapping Up
There are numerous upsides to investing in bespoke software development. Depending on your company's specific requirements, you can make changes to meet different demands. The ability to control every aspect of your app's operation and make whatever tweaks you see fit is another potential benefit.
Businesses need to invest time and resources into creating and designing software that meets their specific needs. But before you make any moves, you should thoroughly evaluate your business. Custom software development is a great option because experienced developers can quickly assess your business needs and determine the best course of action.

WHAT IS MOBILE ?
A mobile phone, or cell phone,[a] is a portable telephone that allows users to make and receive calls over a radio frequency link while moving within a designated telephone service area, unlike fixed-location phones (landline phones). This radio frequency link connects to the switching systems of a mobile phone operator, providing access to the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Modern mobile telephony relies on a cellular network architecture, which is why mobile phones are often referred to as 'cell phones' in North America.
Mobile phones also support a variety of multimedia capabilities, such as digital photography, video recording, and gaming. In addition, they enable multimedia playback and streaming, including video content, as well as radio and television streaming. Furthermore, mobile phones offer satellite-based service
The first handheld mobile phone was demonstrated by Martin Cooper of Motorola in New Y
Mobile phones are considered an important human invention as they have been one of the most widely used and sold pieces of consumer technology.[7] The growth in popularity has been rapid in some places, for example, in the UK, the total number of mobile phones overtook the number of houses in 1999.[8] Today, mobile phones are globally ubiquitous,[9] and in almost half the world's countries, over 90% of the population owns at least one.[10]
History
Main article: History of mobile phonesMartin Cooper of Motorola, shown here in a 2007 reenactment, made the first publicized handheld mobile phone call on a prototype DynaTAC model on 3 April 1973.In 2001, the third-generation (3G) was launched in Japan by NTT DoCoMo on the WCDMA standard.[15] This was followed by 3.5G or 3G+ enhancements based on the high-speed packet access (HSPA) family, allowing UMTS networks to have higher data transfer speeds and capacity. 3G is able to provide mobile broadband access of several Mbit/s to smartphones and mobile modems in laptop computers. This ensures it can be applied to mobile Internet access, VoIP, video calls, and sending large e-mail messages, as well as watching videos, typically in standard-definition quality.
By 2009, it had become clear that, at some point, 3G networks would be overwhelmed by the growth of bandwidth-intensive applications, such as streaming media.[16] Consequently, the industry began looking to data-optimized fourth-generation (4G) technologies, with the promise of speed improvements up to tenfold over existing 3G technologies. The first publicly available LTE service was launched in Scandinavia by TeliaSonera in 2009. In the 2010s, 4G technology has found diverse applications across various sectors, showcasing its versatility in delivering high-speed wireless communication, such as mobile broadband, the internet of things (IoT), fixed wireless access, and multimedia streaming (including music, video, radio, and television).

The model of the Hussar "Gashal" was created in the middle of the war, by one of the engineers Jacob Farakaso, his work attracted the attention of the military due to the fact that the designer, even despite his injuries sustained in the war, had a very sad effect. The lower limbs lost their mobility, but by exerting strength, he managed to assemble a semblance of an endo-skeleton that allowed him to move as before, connected to the cervical region and stretched inside with fibers of synthetic flesh with nerve endings allowed him to return to service, but since he was commissioned. He spent some time with his family, learning about the applications of nutcrackers in the news and other sources, and seeing that they have their own weaknesses as flaws, the dying creature caused pity, because he also lost many comrades.
he began developing his own model that would allow the nutcrackers to be more protected and maneuverable, but for a long time he did not come up with engineering solutions, which depressed him. Except that the daughter had just brought a hussar figurine, its mechanics, although simple, but reliable, movable joints, a head that could be retracted into the shoulders, as if a soldier was hiding his head from the shots that came from an easel machine-gun pillbox.
sleepless nights spent at the table brought out a very effective model, his ideas on reinforced mechanical parts, as well as an ultra-sensitive hydraulic system capable of reacting much faster, like a powerful computer, it could protect its owner from a blow, from a shot from a heavy gun, give speed that was not a strong feature, jump over trenches, not fall into mud traps where so many wounded died, because such a simple trace from a shot by a large artillery shell collected water and blood inside itself, becoming quicksand
Sample number one: Hashal – passed the tests of basic motor skills based on computer modeling of the military and staff situation, tests without substance.
entry number 0-19/F-1:
the test revealed small failures in the body and joints of the cervical spine, yet it is very difficult to create a body for creatures when you do not have a sample, it cost a lot to establish system consumption, but a very impressive result. The chest opening was adjusted to the maximum, the spike was not so important, the magnetic belts turned out to be strong, but the check related to water turned out to be very unsuccessful, as well as for chemical reagents, some types of gas melt wires and their insulation, I do not have enough material to protect the cables.
Maybe I should turn to an old friend, he was sorting out the nutcrackers, maybe I can find the answer in them
Revision: this nutcracker took me a lot of time, I had to use ship cables with their insulation, but I had to look for details from undermined and faulty installations, tanks, and similar equipment, this made it easier for me to fuse some fragments, as well as microcircuits.
The control has improved, the balancing is almost calibrated, I made the inner ribs from titanium and aluminum, I had to melt a whole sheet of plate armor of the tank, oh gods, they will obviously kill me soon
Entry 0-20/F-2:
My fears were true, my adventures were noticed by those whom I clearly would not like to see in my house, they were looking for my prototype, the workshop was destroyed, I can't say how long I still have to live, they can kill my daughter, except for her I have no one left after that the case.. The projectile flew into our complex, damn freaks! So many civilians died then, and Jesse.. she was torn apart, the Collie was not sleeping then and did not let go of my hand: daddy, please.. Don't leave, there's a war! They're killing there! I'll work as long as I can, but how long will I last?
I don't remember how much time has passed since I finished it, it remains only to carry out the final touches, but how to carry them out without filling? Where will I get such a creature, even though such creatures could try to escape the same way, or have offspring, but here? How can this happen at all, especially here..
The Collie began to behave more closed, as if hiding, even though I said that secrets should only be told to those whom I am ready to entrust them, she is probably afraid to tell me about it, the main thing is that it does not attract too much attention to us.
entry number 1 from a personal notebook:
Well, still, these weasels watching my family noticed my daughter's behavior, they came with weapons to the complex! This is not acceptable! The rules do not give them the right to come here with weapons, with soldiers.. but among them I saw white coats, damn scientists, always climbing where they shouldn't and playing gods
Insomnia is killing me two or three months after people came to the complex, but I finally managed to get an answer from my daughter, damn it! She found the offspring of these creatures, even two, where should I put the other one? Of course, I can restore and upgrade the previously destroyed nutcracker, but how much will it be useful?
To the touch, these lumps of flesh are pleasant to the eyes, they are quite small, and so inquisitive, one of them with grayish-blue eyes constantly asks me, if I take it, he does not come off me all day. I feel like a mother to these creatures, if they can reproduce, then I can assume that two nutcrackers could have hidden them initially in our complex, but they could have got in other ways, they are difficult to see if they climb through the ventilation ducts. Collie became their babysitter, but they trust her more.

Super interesting concept: control heat with stretching! Video above is not related to the article below:
Elastocaloric cooling: Refrigerator cools by flexing artificial muscles
The new technology, which is now integrated into a small, compact refrigerator prototype, is based on an incredibly simple principle: heat is removed from a space by stretching wires and releasing them again. Known as 'artificial muscles', the shape-memory wires made of super-elastic nitinol absorb heat in the cooling chamber and release it to the outer environment. 'Our elastocaloric process enables us to achieve temperature differences of around 20 degrees Celsius without using climate-damaging refrigerants in a far more energy-efficient manner than today's conventional technologies,'...
The efficiency of elastocaloric materials is more than ten times that of today's air conditioning systems or refrigerators...
Refrigerators are only just the start. 'We want to leverage the innovative potential of elastocalorics in a wide range of applications, such as industrial cooling, electric vehicle cooling to advance e-mobility and also household appliances,' explains Paul Motzki.
