I’m usually loathe to call food disgusting because I know different people have different tastes and just because I don’t like it doesn’t mean there aren’t people out there who do and I’m generally on the picky side so I try to be gracious in my opinions on food.

ummmmmmm so apparently my house has been infested with THREE TYPES OF POISONOUS SPIDERS for a few months and all the other units knew and my landlord knows but they are all just cool with it. uhhhhhhhhhh fml fr fr fr

Y'know it was REALLY goddamn evil and nefarious that the oil fields gave my mom (a single mom working 3 jobs to raise 2 kids) a single $5,000 check in exchange for her signing a nondisclosure to never complain about them.

Of course we fucking took the money. Even with her working 1 full-time job and 2 part-time jobs, she barely made over $1,000 a month. Of course she took the money. We though about moving but we still couldn't afford it. She was so frugal with it, though. It did give us a sliver of financial security for years.

But goddamn. $5,000 is table scraps to them, and they bought her silence with it because she couldn't refuse the chance to slightly lessen the weight of poverty on her family.

I love it when my father automatically assumes that bc my room has a "musty" smell I MUST have mold! All because the basement doesn't smell "ass bad." And that means I must pick up everything and go insane. He doesn't even BOTHER to, you know, ACTUALLY SEARCH FOR THE MOLD. He just automatically assumes that bc my room smells musty I MUST HAVE MOLD ITS ME IM THE PROBLEM! I'm telling him its the basement, its perfect for mold, and the smell got worse after it rained apparently (NOTE THAT I CANNOT SMELL THIS MUSTY SMELL) and our basement floods every time it rains

for six months now I have been trying to get this work on my attic finished and finally I get a text out of the blue from Attic Guy saying “today? can we do it today” which like, fine. yes. I really need this done and it happens to be my day off. so I texted back saying today was good and asking what time and of course no response. it’s been an hour. I suppose I should just go ahead and cancel on my agility instructor but I am going to be so pissed off if I get stuck in contractor limbo all day and this work doesn’t actually get done.

I’ve been a homeowner for about a year and I can confidently say that I do not understand what possess people to remodel their homes. working with contractors is like pulling teeth. I have two (2) big projects that needed to be done this year and I literally never want to go through any of this ever again. the next time my house needs work done I would rather just move.
