We all hate Uther, but I have to admit, the scene in “The Beauty and The Beast, pt.2”, where the troll gifts Uther dung over the council table, has to be one of the most hilarious moments of those two episodes.

okay. c1e100. the boobs enter the hall of prayers, and see all of the prayers of the people of bahumia manifested. prayers to them, from the people leaving the future and the world in their hands. people praying for their protection, and for them to be protected.

c3e56. in aryox's chamber, surrounded by his predictions, callie learns that her mother was also a diviner. that her mother's choices were made to drive her to the path she's on right now. lumi saying "you got here, didn't you?", and the carving. proof of her mother's choice to leave the world in callie's hands. her belief that callie could secure a better future.

the writing on the wall is the song that plays in both of these moments.

Corruption aftercare Soukoku my beloved. PM!Dazai used to always bring Chuuya back to his place and watch over him, even pulling all-nighters just to make sure Chuuya was okay, still beathing, and hadn't suffered any critical injuries.

They trust each other totally and mutually, but I think also deep down at the back of his mind Dazai thinks what if this is the time corruption kills Chuuya and he hates having to resort to that tactic even if it's a necessary means to an end. It's one of those gambles he's not willing to take, but must do so.

When they went their separate ways after Dazai defected from the Port Mafia, he had hoped that the times corruption was needed would be few and far in-between, so when they needed to resort to that against Lovecraft, Dazai resented the fact that he couldn't watch over Chuuya like the old times and had to put his trust in Mori and the mafia's doctors to keep an eye on Chuuya. Mori wouldn't let Chuuya die, but it's the principle that Dazai doesn't trust Chuuya in anyone else's hands to deal with the aftermath, and he doesn't like having that control taken from him. He had a city to save in the meantime, but a fleeting wonder if Chuuya was all right passed through his mind.

Many haven't seen firsthand how corruption tears Chuuya apart from the inside out and the number it does on him. Dazai has. Too many times.

Looking after Chuuya while he's unconscious is one of the few times Dazai can be vulnerable because no one's there to witness it. It's still safe, even if Chuuya swears up and down he heard someone trying to talk to him while he was knocked out and that someone sounded a lot like Dazai.

But of course Dazai shrugged it off. Just a dream. A long, long dream.

You remember how the fuck-off great aunts always used to say, 'Suffer and learn'? If they were right, Nonagesimus, how much more can we take until you and me achieve omniscience?

I'm never not thinking about this part of harrow the ninth. what a fucking perfectly distilled microcosm of gideon's and harrow's childhood. two children clawing at and choking the life out of each other over the entirely fictional premise that either of their mothers ever loved them.

Just cannot forget that the show had a whole romantic subplot about Kevin being interested in Gwen but not up to making a move and just, never bothered with why. The issue at play was never actually addressed. Instead we just get a steady stream of Kevin not making a move despite his interest, while Gwen pushes him to make a move, and then Gwen finagles a move out of him and the show just, carries on like there was never something keeping him from making a proper move in the first place.

The closest we get is in the third season of AF, where we get a nice look at his mental health issues including some nasty self-worth issues, but even then the focus is less on 'wow Kevin is having A Time and this shows us some things about his character' and more as 'and here's how his response to his situation is affecting Gwen'.

Even in the fandom I've seen it treated more like a case of Kevin being whiny and selfish over nothing, like it didn't lead to him teaming up with Darkstar- something the heroes only ever do otherwise when in desperate need of help dealing with an actual and immediate threat to life.

Just, if you're going to base your drama around something, at least actually fucking resolve or acknowledge the cause of the issue, rather than just brushing it under the rug once you're bored with it.

kinda wild to me that one of the most compelling aspects of both Chuuya and Kunikida's characters to me, that I never really see talked about, is how they're heavily set on a doomed crash course towards complete and utter destruction, and how I am so, so worried for them both.....
