How does a cavity measurement system work?
A cavity measurement system is a sophisticated tool used primarily in the mining and construction industries to map and monitor underground spaces. This system uses advanced technology that provides accurate real-time information on cavity geometry and volume, ensuring operational safety and efficiency.
Tumblr media
Cavity measurement system usually uses laser scanning technology or LIDAR (light detection and ranging) technology. Here's how it works:
Laser beam: The system emits laser pulses that travel until they hit the surface of the cavity. This process involves sending thousands or millions of laser beams.
Data acquisition: When laser beams hit surfaces, they are reflected back to the scanner. The system measures the time required for each pulse to recover and calculates the distance to the surface based on the speed of light.
3D Mapping: Collected data points are used to create a detailed 3D map of the cavity. This map provides accurate measurements of cavity dimensions, including depth, width and total volume.
Analysis: The 3D model can be analyzed to identify potential hazards such as unstable areas or voids and plan safe and efficient excavation or construction operations.
Monitoring: Continuous or periodic scanning allows monitoring of cavity changes over time, providing critical information to maintain structural integrity and safety.
The abilityof cavity measurement system to deliver accurate and comprehensive data makes it invaluable for ensuring safety, optimizing operations and minimizing risk in environments where accurate knowledge of underground conditions is critical.

easyMonitor is an advanced temperature monitoring system designed and developed by Inwizards Software Technology. The main objective of easyMonitor is to save the losses due to high temperatures, this tool is used to track and record temperature data in various settings and send alert messages to the respective person at deviations from the desired temperature range.
easyMonitor is your trusted partner in accurate and efficient temperature and humidity monitoring. Our cutting-edge technology provides you with seamless data logging, remote accessibility, and real-time alerts, ensuring the utmost protection for your valuable assets.
We use a variety of different technologies and sensors to capture temperature data, including wireless sensors, infrared sensors, and more. The data captured by our sensors is transmitted to a cloud-based dashboard where it can be accessed and analysed in real time. The dashboard allows you to view temperature data in various forms such as tables, graphs, and charts and provides alerts when temperature thresholds are breached. This allows you to take action quickly to prevent product spoilage, equipment damage, or other issues.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Tumblr media
It is ok if you don’t. It has only been around and on cars built after 2008. TPMS is your cars Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The TPMS symbol is either a cross-section of a tire with an exclamation point in it or an overhead view of a car with all four tires exposed.
The feature is standard on all 2008 and newer models, thanks to the TREAD Act, which Congress enacted in 2000 after rollover incidents involving the Ford Explorer and Firestone tires.
TPMS is a very helpful tool that helps drivers understand the safety of their cars, and tires. There are a variety of considerations from tire companies and automakers, a TPMS warning light isn’t required to come on until the tire is at 25 percent below the manufacturer’s recommended tire pressure. That’s also well below the pressure required for safe driving.
TPMS has two types. An indirect and a direct. Indirect TPMS doesn’t monitor air pressure. but, the indirect TPMS uses the antilock braking system’s wheel-speed sensor to detect that one tire is rotating faster than the other tires. So, there’s a greater chance of error in an indirect TPMS system.
Now, a direct TPMS calculates a tire’s actual pressure. This is usually way more accurate to within 1 PSI. Direct systems use a physical tool, a gauge mounted to the wheel or tire valve. This gauge sends the data to the car’s computer/deck. How the data is interpreted and displayed in the car with a direct TPMS depends on whether it is a low-line or high-line unit.
A high-line sensor is mounted in each of the wheels and displays the individual pressure of each tire. A low-line system only will prompt the low-pressure warning light. It is then up to the driver to figure out which tire is the low one. This type of system is mostly on lesser priced vehicles.
TPMS in summation is a great tool and asset to any driver/owner. For any individual driving in conditions including climate change, rough roads and other harsh. elements on tires, a TPMS can help ensure your drive is as safe as possible.

do you know how they number the bears? 747 for life
The bear monitoring system is something i do not know too much about, as it primarily used by the rangers internally for collecting data about the bears. The rangers do a lot of monitoring of the bears at Brooks River, tracking their appearance as well as a wide range of behaviors, and how both of those things change over the years. This tracking system allows us to study so, so much more about the bears here than humans would normally be able to, and they do it all without tagging or physical tracking devices of any kind.
Anyways, more to your question -- Bears are given a 3 digit identification number when they are first identified as independent bears who frequent the brooks river area. Each bear identified this way in a given year has the same starting digit, though obviously since bears can sometimes live upwards of 30 years at Brooks River and they only have 10 digits (0-9) to work with, not every bear with the same starting digit was identified the same year. also, regarding bear id numbers starting with 0, most of the time the 0 is left off when rangers talk about the bears. 89 Backpack's number is technically 089, for example, but everyone just writes it as 89, so i have followed suit in this post and every other post.
litter mates often have numbers very close to one another, because they all become independent subadults the same year, and bears who were raised at Brooks River as cubs generally stay in the area once they are independent. i think the rangers try to keep bears that they believe to be related near each other in the monitoring system, but i don't have a specific source on that -- I'm just looking at examples like 912 and 913, and 428 and 429. Though, also, sometimes a bear doesn't show up the same year as their litter mates so they get separated in the numbering system. A good example is bear 99, who showed up a year later than 912 and 913, even though it is generally believed that the three of them are 39's 2016 litter.
Additionally, I want to be clear that not every bear that is first identified as independent in the same year is the same age. Not only do independent bears first begin frequenting brooks river at wildly different ages -- everything from newly emancipated subadults familiar with the area to fully-grown adults who suddenly appear one day -- but in addition, not all bears are emancipated at the same age, either. Cubs generally stay with their mother for 2-3 summers, but we have seen emancipation happen after just 1 summer and we have seen it happen after as many as 4 summers.
Also, when a monitored bear has not been seen for 10 years, then their number is recycled and added back into the pool of available numbers. as an example, there was a female bear numbered 720 who we last saw in 2006. so in 2016, her number was recycled, and was used for a new subadult female.
I hope this helps! for more information about the bear monitoring system, how it works, and what it's used for, i recommend checking out this live chat from 2019 about the topic!

The United Kingdom just been downgraded on the global index of civic freedoms due to it's "Hostile" and "Increasingly authoritarian" actions.
I live in the UK. And I found this out by factchecking a green peace ad. As of now this story was posted 16 hours ago and I've not heard one person talk about this.
Our government is officially recognised as repressing civic freedoms and undermining human rights. If you're still proud to be brittish then fuck you tory scum.
