Toichirou is far from my favorite character but he's such an interesting one which pisses me off to no end when people boil him down to "shitty irredeemable man who shouldve died" bc the point of mp100 is that. Anyone can change. Even the uncaring terrorist that only considered himself to be the sole important human in the world has the capacity to change.

The show went so far to say that even MOB couldnt get him to change. It wasn't his responsibility to change him and it certainly WASN'T in his sole ability to. He couldn't convince Toichirou at that moment to change. It took Mob and Shou reaching out to him, someone matching up in his powers, losing absolute control and being held responsible for his actions that he actually considered to change.

And in the end, when Toichirou once again offers to sacrifice his life to stop Shigeo's rampage, his son gave him a look that implicitly says, he doesn't want him to die. He still wants him in his life.

The textbook "sociopath" actually being redeemed by the end of the series, and being wanted by his family. Tumblr doesnt like that.

On Being Loved

Being loved is a strange, terrifying thing. Terrifying because I'm painfully awkward and everything is terrifying to me, and strange because my relationship with relationships is odd like that.

Sometimes a meme can bring me to tears. The simple act of thinking of me and letting me know it means more than a thousand jewels. Sending something short and sweet and stupid with an "lol, us" or a "lmao so you" is like being swept up in a cloud and held until the sun rises.

I don't know if it's a good idea to send long, winding messages to loved ones. They don't tell us much about that growing up. Is it okay to write paragraphs and stanzas and soliloquies when "I love you" suffices? Does it really?

What does "I love you" tell? Does it mean "I want to be with you"? or "I wouldn't be the same without you"? Or does it mean something like "I would follow you into hell in a heartbeat if you asked"? or "I love you to the moon, the stars, to Andromeda and Heaven and back again"? How do I let people know just how much they mean?

I see "I love you" in the hellos when I join a call. I can hear the smile. I see "I love you" in leaning on each other's shoulders. I love that touch. I see "I love you" in long tangents about something I can't even begin to understand. Tell me everything.

I want to give more I love yous. I want to be the rich grandma down the street on Halloween, passing out King Sized candies because it makes everyone smile. I want to be the hand held after hardship because everyone needs someone to hold the tissue box. I want to be a fountain of unrestrained love because, god, seeing the kind of love I get go to others is such a beautiful feeling.

The statement "This is Hatchetfield; people go missing every day" is factually incorrect. The average Hatchetfield citizen does not go missing at all. Georg Spankoffski, who lives on the street and goes missing in every timeline, is an outlier and should not be counted
