hellooooo! i read a lot of buck/eddie fics, literally everyday, and earlier this december i thought "why not share some of my favorites that i have read this month?" so here we are! i couldn't include everything i've read and enjoyed, the list would be really long. but i've picked a few fanfics that i've read (for the first time) in december that were really huge favorites and stayed with me for a little while these past days/weeks. i will try to make these on a monthly basis, because fanfic authors deserve all of the recognition! oh, and happy new year!

The chances of being struck by lightning twice are incredibly minute, but Buck still manages to pull it off. During a double date with Marisol and Natalia, nonetheless. Eddie manages to resuscitate him, but as Buck recovers from yet another trauma, Eddie can’t help but notice there’s something very different about him. He’s not quite sure what version of Buck he got back.

this fic is absolutely incredible. i couldn't put it down once i started. it's extremely well written and brilliantly planned out. the angst is heavy but so is the reward: this is an amazing story. easily an all-time favorite!

another exquisite fic from this author. they never miss!! this one explores a dynamic i don't read that often (sub eddie) but it works SO well here. extremely well done, as usual. i also absolutely love this buck here.

they are GIANT disasters in here! really loved the humoristic tone of this whole thing. i just wanna shake them and yell learn how to communicate properly damn it!

buck, eddie, and ravi survive a plane crash, and it's amazing. incredibly well written, i was hooked from the very start and couldn't put it down until i was done.

incredible concept!!! all the moments chosen for eddie to revisit are perfect and make so much sense for his character. this was such a great read and an absolutely amazing character exploration fic.

Set post-Season 6, where Buck has inadvertently sacrificed his friendship with Eddie in order to focus on his new relationship with Natalia, and is shocked when Eddie comes out to the team and subsequently reveals that he is dating a guy.

okay so i literally read this in one sitting and went to bed at 7am to finish it. i couldn't put it down. the angst is SO good and frustrating and delicious and painful. but the payoff is so worth it!! this is really really really good. i loved all the dynamics, especially eddie and karen's friendship.

ageless blogs + blank blogs will be blocked. with the influx of bots and minors deciding to ignore warnings and etc, having your age somewhere, rbing a couple posts, adding icons and headers is a must unless you wanna get blocked into the void.

i do not have a taglist. if you want to stay up to date on everything i post, without seeing the dozen rbs i make daily (aka only seeing my work), then follow my library account @lorelibrary and turn on post notifications.

i have a fic recs blog. i don’t rb fics onto my main blog because i’m constantly shit posting and don’t want the work i enjoy from others, friends, mutuals, etc, to be overshadowed by all of that. so everything i read is rbed to @lorerecs and added to a monthly list of ficrecs at the end of each month.

i make gifs. over on my sideblog @loregifs i dabble in gif making and requests and suggestions are always open if you’re a thirsty hoe like me and wanna see more gifs of your favs.

i encourage nothing but kindness and support on my page. which means i do not like to get involved in fandom drama or celebrity discourse. i have curated my own little slice of peace and fun over here, i want to enjoy my time writing and creating. therefore i stay clear of any drama discussions whatsoever.

When he pressed the small button on the side, the lid popped open and revealed a pearl-colored watch face with small encrusted diamonds in place of actual numbers.

“Who was he?” Louis faintly heard someone ask. All he could do, though, was stare at the gold watch in his palm.

After a moment, Louis shook his head and whispered, “I…I don’t know.”

A/N: I apologize that this took so long, I kind of got carried away with the plot, and then life smacked me in the face full force and I wasn't able to write well. I didn't want to just put something out that I hated so I just waited to put it out once it was somewhere close to where I wanted it. So thank you for guessing my biases and then sending a request, I really hope you like this. I know you requested fluff but I ended up writing some angst too I hope you don't mind.

Renjun watched as you leaned over Jeno, your lips moving against his on Jaemin's dare. For some reason, there was an anger that bubbled in the pit of Renjuns stomach. An inexplainable anger, at least it was unexplainable to him.

He couldn't look away either, his eyes were fixated on the way Jeno's hands curled into your hair, the way your hands were grabbing at his shirt, pulling his body closer to yours.

Mark cleared his throat next to Renjun, his action making you pull away from Jeno.

"It's your turn," Mark said motioning for you to call on the next person for truth or dare.

"Can we just watch a movie now?" Renjun huffed, his eyes turning away from yours.

It was hard having a crush on you, considering you were his best friend, and maybe saying crush was putting it lightly because Renjun was over the moon for you.

Still, he couldn't explain the anger he was currently feeling, like you or not he knew that he had no right over you, but still seeing you kiss Jeno made him want to punch Jeno into next week.

"Oh come on Renjun stop being a downer," Jaemin complained. Renjun glared at him, his mind was already infuriated at him for being the one who gave you the dare and all.

"Come on Y/N, pick someone." Haechan insisted.

Renjun could feel your gaze on the side of his face, but he continued ignoring you. It was painfully obvious to him that he was acting oddly in front of everyone and clearly they were all noticing his shift in mood, especially you.

"I don't really want to play this game. I thought we were here for movie night not playing dumb high school games while drinking." No one replied to Renjun's words. The room fell silent.

Renjun felt embarrassed by the attention.

"You know what never mind, I'm just gonna go to bed."

He got up and headed for his room at the end of the hall. He heard the murmuring start back up as he drifted down the hall.

Not even a minute after closing his room door a soft knock echoed through. He sighed, swirling on his feet and going to pull the door open. You were standing there staring at him.

"Are you okay?" You asked, his eyes skirted away from your face quickly, looking around his room instead.

"Yes."

"Are you mad at me?" You asked.

"No."

You nodded, Renjun left you at the door of his room and walked towards his bed.

"They decided to switch to the movie," You started again slightly awkwardly, "Wanna watch?"

Renjun rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"No, I don't feel like it anymore." He said keeping his back to you as he pulled his covers back. You stepped further into the room, Renjun could feel your presence like pin prickles on his skin.

"Renjun come on," You insisted, "We've wanted to watch this movie for so long."

Renjun had, he had wanted to watch the movie that he'd picked for today so bad, you had too. Both of you had been going on about it all week.

Renjun couldn't help it though, his anger was rising with every minute that you stayed in his room, and he couldn't get the image of you and Jeno out of his mind.

"Just get out," He said quietly. He could tell from the way you quietly sucked in a breath that he'd hurt you.

Still, for some reason you reached out and grabbed his wrist, tugging on him lightly.

You whispered his name quietly, but Renjun pulled his wrist away from your hand.

"Just fuck off. Why don't you just go suck Jeno's face again?" He asked, his harsh words echoing in his head.

You pulled back from him. He didn't turn to face you as you left his room in an angry huff of fastly paced steps.

Renjun simmered in his room that night.

He ignored you for a week making excuses for every group plan that he'd made, and ignore all of your calls and texts. He didn't ignore Jeno, that was too hard considering that he was living with the boy. But he didn't linger around Jeno more than he had to.

His feelings needed a minute. He had to figure out how to maneuver this. You may have been his best friend but you were also good friends with everyone else, and if you were gonna be with Jeno he'd have to figure it out.

However, running away wasn't a fix. He couldn't evade you forever. That became very apparent when he woke up exactly a week later and found you in the kitchen. Jeno was leaning onto the counter next to you his body leaned towards you both spoke in hushed tones.

Suddenly the anger from that day was back. He knew that he was overreacting. He knew that last week and he knew that today. He thought of just turning around and walking back to his room. But when you softly laughed at whatever Jeno was saying Renjun couldn't just leave.

He cleared his throat as he came up behind the other two, gaining the attention of Jeno and you both. Your smile faltered as you looked at him. Renjuns head swam as he held your eyes for a second before stepping in between the two of you and pulling a bowl out from the cabinet.

"Morning Renjun," Jeno said, the same way he always did in the morning.

"Morning," Renjun mumbled back, his eyes skimmed past yours again as he turned away from the two of you and went to the fridge to grab the milk for his cereal.

"Are you gonna watch the movie with us for movie night today?" Jeno asked. Renjun turned his head towards his friend, your back was to him as you continued to cut the apple. You arm skimming Jeno's as you did.

"No, I'm busy." He answered not giving much information beyond that. He didn't feel the need to. He knew that Jeno would accept the answer.

"With what?" You finally spoke, your tone irritated as you turned your head towards Renjun.

"Stuff." He replied and pushed his bowl away from him. He walked out of the kitchen leaving the milk on the counter and made his way towards his room.

He could hear you following him. He'd known already, that he couldn't run forever.

You caught up him in his room, your hand pulling his shoulder making him spin around to face you.

"What the fuck is your problem?" You asked your anger bubbling out at him.

"You. You're my fucking problem."Renjun answered finally exploding. You took a step back your face twisting as you glared at him.

"The fuck did I even do?" You asked him

Renjun glanced at the open door. He didn't want to have this conversation with Jeno hearing everything. In fact, he didn't want to have this conversation period.

He sighed loudly, his eyes fixating on the open door. He shook his head.

"Nevermind just let it go." He said,

"No, fuck that! Tell me why you're ignoring me?" You yelled. Renjun stared at your angry face for a second his teeth biting the inside of his cheek trying to hold in his outburst. But he failed.

"Because I fucking like you! But you're too busy giving in to every 'you should kiss him' dare Jaemin gives you about Jeno to notice me. So for fucks sakes leave me alone." His voice was loud, and his words were harsh. You faltered in front of him. Your face gave in to the confusion you felt inside.

Renjun sighed and shook his head again.

"J-just leave me alone okay." He quietly said, ending the conversation.

You didn't leave though, Renjun could feel your stare on his face.

"You like me" You softly repeated. You said it as a statement like you were trying to process it.

"You treated me like shit because you like me?" You all of a sudden burst out catching Renjun off guard.

"I was giving myself time." He replied. "You like Jeno anyway."

"I do not like Jeno you fucking prick. He and I are friends, friends that Jaemin thinks are perfect together and so he tries all the fucking time. You think I'm supposed to read your mind and know you like me?" Renjun could tell you were getting more and more pissed with every word. "You fucking asshole. You ignored me for an entire week, do you even understand how shitty I felt? I didn't even know what I did to deserve that. Fuck you Renjun."

Renjun was frozen in his room for a second before he followed you out into the living. You were gone before he could catch you, Jeno was in the living room though. His eyes looked at Renjun with amused concern. He opened his mouth to say something but Renjun cut him off.

"Not right now Jeno."

Renjun was now receiving the silent treatment, the first day he left you alone, he needed to figure out what had happened himself. The next day he messaged you, which progressed to calls. All of which were left unanswered.

Finally, Renjun forced himself to make his way to your apartment. That's where he currently stood, his hand hovering over your buzzer as he thought about what he wanted to say to you if he got the chance. Putting his body on autopilot he pressed the buzzer, your question tone came asking who it was. When Renjun said his name he was met with silence. Until the louder buzzer went off letting him know he was allowed in. Quickly he grabbed the door handle and made his way up to your door. Where he once again hesitated to knock.

You whipped the door open before he managed to knock. Your eyes narrowed at his figure, glaring at him until he felt like shrinking back into himself.

You let him in though, and he jumped on his opportunity to start talking.

"I'm sorry." He blurts out, his eyes scanning your face which was blank before he took a large breath to start his monologue.

You cut him off, "If you had the balls to tell me you like me sooner you would have known that I liked you back."

Every word of his monologue flew out of his brain as he stared at your mouth slightly open.

"If you would just use your brain and maybe let it out a little bit, open your fucking mouth and say something. We would have been somewhere else entirely in life." You continued.

Renjun bit the inside of his cheek, as you continued to stare at him in annoyance.

"I really didn't fucking think you liked me Jun. You friend zone so hard." You muttered softly finally turning your face away from his.

"Liked?" Was all Renjun was able to conjure up, "Liked in the past tense?" Your eyes flashed up to his in a second, wide with shock.

"That's all you gathered from what I said?"

"No, no. I'm here to apologize because I am an idiot, so I agree with you. But I just need to know if…" He trailed off, his face heating. He was not good at this.

"Not past tense," You mumbled back, clearly no better than him.

"I see," Renjun said. You simply nodded.

The rational part of Renjun must have run out of the building because he didn't know what came over him when he took long strides to you and gathered you into his arms.

"Not past tense." He muttered under his breath, slightly laughing at your shocked expression as he lowered his mouth to yours and kissed you.

Your arms wrapped around his shoulders, hands weaving into his hair as his lips moved against yours slowly. The moment wasn't the one Renjun always thought of when he imagined you telling him you liked him back.

But it was the moment he got and it was perfect.

"Renjun!" You yelled, your voice echoing through his apartment. Renjun was lucky that he was the only one home.

Pulling himself out of his bed he ran his hand through his hair trying to calm the bed head that he had going on.

"You're still sleeping?" You asked him, annoyed as you ripped his bedroom door open.

"Yeah, my alarm didn't go off I guess."

"Babe our flight is at three, it's already one-thirty. We're late." Renjun offered you an apologetic smile as he shrunk a step back from you.

You sighed, Renjun could tell from the way you pursed your lips that you were willing yourself to calm down.

"Okay, it's okay. You're lucky I love you. Now get into the bathroom."

Renjun halted in his untaken steps. His eyes watched you as you moved to his closet pulling out clothes for him.

"Are you packed?" You asked.

He didn't reply. How could he? You'd just told him you loved him. Sure he's heard it when you were friends, but you weren't just friends anymore.

"Did you say you love me?" He asked softly. His heart rate picked up as you slowly turned to face him.

Your eyes also widened for a second as you thought back on your words.

"I guess I did." You replied.

"Did you mean it?" He asked, "In like a not friend way? Because if you just meant it the other way let's forget that this happened." He clamoured.

You took a second to reply, Renjun cringed inwardly for having opened his mouth.

"No, I mean it. I love you Jun."

Renjun let the feeling spread over his body, as his lips broke out into a huge smile. His pounding in his chest as you made your way over to him.

"I love you too."

"Well, then lover boy. Get a move on, because if we miss our flight I'll hate you." You joked pushing him to the bathroom.

Renjun laughed as you pulled the door closed behind him.

You loved him. His cheeks flushed as he thought of the words coming from you on repeat in his head as he showered quickly.

I realy love your monthly ficrecs. Beeing relativly new to the McDanno fandome I started reading my way through a few fics of genres I like. I love smutt & fluff. Sadly I haven't jet found a fic with a perfect balance of both. My reactions are either: You're having kinky sex again in this chapter, can't you just cuddle on the couch & talk about your feelings OR yes, I know how much you love each other, can't you show that in a physcal way for once? Could you rec me some fics that has both?

Okay, your asks shows your preferences and there are for sure tons of these fics in the H50 fandom that fulfill your expectations...but you‘ve come to the wrong person with your ask. I’m extremely into kinky smut, lots of cuddling, fluffy smut or smutty fluff - because I don’t care about the perfect balance. For me there’s no such thing.

It’s about the guys, Steve and Danny, and each author creates an unique universe for them in the way it fits for the writer. I’m sorry to read you haven’t found your perfect balance yet. Unfortunately you have to look further because I‘m sure I don’t have the stories you’re looking for.

And there’s a saying - If you don’t find the thing you want to read...write it yourself😉
