The biggest, most heinous crime the plush making side of the Pokémon Company did was creating the CUTEST, MOST ADORABLE PURE DOPAMINE INJECTING EEVEELUTIONS ON THE MOTHERFRICKING PLANET, then discontinuing them.

They came in two sizes: Roughly The Height of a Nintendo Switch Game Case and So Got Damn Small You Can Fit It In The Palm Of Your Hand And Close Your Fist Around It's Entire Head (I'd love to include a reference picture but it's surprisingly difficult to get a photo of both sizes of Pokédoll next to something that's a good point of reference so I had to measure my Sprigatito Pokédoll to get a rough estimate of the height of an Eeveelution Pokédoll. You're just gonna have to take my word for it.)

And because they're discontinued, they've basically become collectors items that you have to sell your soul to afford so unless you're a dedicated plush collector, you're basically going to forever be deprived of the adorable sugary sweet teeny tiny Eeveelution goodness.

If you type "Pokémon Eeveelution Pokédoll" into eBay, prepare to go "guWAHAHAHEUHH 😬" like I did when you see the prices.

The mini keychain versions are.... marginally cheaper. .... Kind of. When they're bought individually.

OCCASIONALLY the mini versions will drop below the "FUCK NO" price range but I wouldn't buy a lot of them because it still stabs the wallet.

There's this term in the Pokémon Plush Collecting Community known as a "Grail Plush" which is basically the term for an extremely extremely rare plush that you've been wanting your whole life and have been searching for since forever.

The 2017 Eeveelutions are definitely my Grail Plushies. I've been coveting them for 7 years ever since I looked at pictures of them with my friend in the computer room in secondary school. (yes 2017 was seven years ago. Join me in shrivelling to dust due to the passage of time)

I only ever managed to get two of the mini keychain ones this year.

Is it normal for Espeon to be so affectionate? I wasn't concerned at first, but it's gotten to the point where, if I'm gone for more than 2 minutes, he looks terrified, do you have any advice?

I'm a psychic trainer/expert but I've never seen such odd behavior in him before. You seem as though you may have knowledge on this? If not, please let me know who I can reach out to.

it really depends on the circumstances of their evolution imo. espeon/umbreon tend to be particularly loyal (like any friendship evolution) but because of their somewhat connected relation to sylveon it might just be an emotional over-dependence thing. best you can do is wean off him off the attention

(H:SR) Astral Express Crew with Pokémon

I may have gotten a little carried away with this.

First Discovery:

(Stelle) "I think I found a new friend."

Stelle walked into the Parlor Car smelling less than pleasant, immediately catching the attention of the other Nameless aboard.

(March 7th) "Ugh! Is it actually alive? Sure doesn't smell like it!"

(Stelle) "Actually, yeah he is."

Immediately, Dan Heng's eyes went wide upon looking at Stelle's hands.

(Dan Heng) "Did...that piece of garbage just move?"

March 7th, Himeko, Welt, and Caelus's sights all shifted to the item Stelle had in her palm, only to see that the tiny garbage bag had eyes and a mouth, much to their wonder and horror.

(March 7th) "EW! WHAT IS THAT?!"

March hopped behind Caelus as he tilted his head curiously, fascinated by the creature more than anything.

With Himeko and Welt not too far behind.

(Himeko) "Oh, I didn't think we'd find another one so soon!"

Stelle's eyes gleamed at the comment.

(Stelle) "There are other cute little trash guys like him?!"

Welt stepped closer to Stelle's new friend, leaning down to look at it near eye level.

(Welt) "Himeko and I have only encountered a few of them in our travels, but we call them Pocket monsters. Pokémon, for short."

(Dan Heng) "Does that mean there's other creatures like...the one Stelle has?"

(Himeko) "There sure are! I've been working on a device to catalogue every one we find, including capsules to capture them. I'm sure we can find you all one in no time!"

(Caelus) "Wait, you already have your own?"

(Welt) "For quite some time, yes. But we kept them inside of our Pokéballs for safety reasons. The ones Himeko and I have are rather...temperamental, to put it lightly."

(March 7th) "Are there super cute ones?"

(Himeko) "Naturally.~"

(March 7th) "Then what the heck are waiting for, let's find our own!"

(Stelle) "But I'm fine with mine."

Welt and Himeko looked at each other before the scientist pulled out the Pokédex, scanning Stelle's friend. When it finished, it spoke aloud for everyone to hear.

Trubbish: It gorges on trash until its stomach is full. Then it belches toxic gas. An unlucky whiff of gas will put a person in the hospital.

(Welt) "..."

(Himeko) "..."

(Dan Heng) "Please do not keep that one, Stelle."

Caelus

Galarian Zigzagoon: Thought to be the oldest form of Zigzagoon, it moves in zigzags and wreaks havoc upon its surroundings.

Caelus's Zigzagoon dug into the trash can alongside him, popping its head out eagerly with a shiny object in its mouth. His owner followed suit, shooting him a thumbs up with a shiny object of his own.

(Silvermane Guard's Voice) "WHY IS THERE TRASH EVERYWHERE?!"

Dan Heng

Snivy: It prefers to avoid groups. In its day-to-day life, it dexterously controls its vines to compensate for its short arms.

Dan Heng sat in silence within the Astral Express's archive, hearing his companion walk behind him. Upon turning around, he saw Snivy holding a book with its vines. Smiling, Dan Heng took the book gently and pet his Pokémon's head.

(Dan Heng) "My thanks, Snivy."

March 7th

Sylveon: It wraps its ribbonlike feelers around the arm of its beloved Trainer and walks with him or her.

(March 7th) "OH MY GOOOOSH YOU ARE SOOOOO CUUUUUTE!"

March's Sylveon was being snuggled happily in her arms, the ribbons tightly around the arm and giving as much affection back. March's phone has at least 80 photos of her and Sylveon from this week alone.

Himeko

Rotom: Its electricity-like body can enter some kinds of machines and take control in order to make mischief.

Himeko has had Rotom for quite some time, and thanks to modifying her Pokédex, gave Rotom the ability to speak. For better and worse. Though it thankfully knows not to cause a mess upon the Astral Express, and most of all, not anger Himeko.

She moved across the main car and poured herself a cup of coffee, opening her eyes to notice that the coffee machine had suddenly transformed into an orange color.

(Himeko) "Morning."

(Rotom) "Hiya! Need a brew?"

(Himeko) "Always. Mind making the others some too?"

Even with its unmoving smile, she could hear the anxiety in the Pokémon's voice.

(Rotom) "Don't you humans need something a little more...edible?"

Himeko's smile remained, but her fist clenched as she suddenly grabbed the machine and yanked the plug from the wall.

(Himeko) "Pom-Pom? I believe we should throw this defective machine out the airlock-"

(Rotom) "WAITWAITWAIT-"

Welt

Drampa: If a child it has made friends with is bullied, Drampa will find the bully's house and burn it to the ground.

Welt smiled as he sat on the couch, watching as Drampa floated over to Caelus and Stelle, nudging them to play.

(Welt) "Ah, sorry. It's been a little bit since I've let Drampa take a walk out of its Pokéball."

(Stelle) "It's okay, Mr. Yang! He seems like a nice fella."

(Welt) "Just be careful if he's with you when you pick a fight. He's rather...protective. Heh, takes after his owner, I'd say."

(Caelus) "I don't think I'd expect anything less! Does he bite people?"

(Welt) "Ah..." ahem "How to put this? It can get a little-"

Welt and Himeko watched in fascination and horror as Drampa burned down an entire fortress effortlessly, thrashing concretes and thugs aside. And with one last flame, it ignited the area into a raging inferno-

(Welt) "-...Heated."

Sylveon is a species of Pokemon that was only recently recorded officially. It stands to reason that they existed long beforehand, just like the Fairy-type itself, but were always written off as something they were not in years past.

Sylveon is a species of Pokemon that the popular Pokemon, Eevee, can evolve into. Eevee can evolve into lots of different Pokemon, depending on how they are raised and what environments they are exposed to as they grow. A lot of Trainers are content to let their Eevee choose how they want to evolve, but many of them capture an Eevee with the expressed purpose of evolving them into something in particular. If that Eevee ends up evolving into something different, the Trainer may be upset. Some choose to accept the way that their Eevee has evolved. Others do not.

Sylveon is a species of Pokemon that can only be obtained through giving your Eevee lots of affection. Only with an accepting and loving Trainer can Eevee evolve into Sylveon. But raising your Eevee like this does not guarantee you a Sylveon. Your Eevee could evolve into something else that requires high affection, like Espeon or Umbreon. Or it could evolve into something else entirely that doesn't require high affection.

Knowledge of this most recently-discovered evolution of Eevee is spreading quickly. Lots of Trainers are starting to understand what their Eevee became. Lots of Eevee are starting to understand this form they can obtain. As more understandings are met, more Eevee evolve into Sylveon.

Sylveon are being killed at an unprecedented rate.

Sylveon are being killed by people who do not know what type of Pokemon they are, and fear they may be dangerous. Sylveon are being killed by those who have bought into the ideas of the older generation: that Sylveon is nothing but a mutation that should be put out of its misery immediately, not a proper evolution... Sylveon are being killed by their own Trainers. Infuriated that their precious Eevee evolved into Sylveon, and not an Umbreon or Espeon, as they had been intending.

Sylveon are not any more dangerous than any other evolution. Sylveon are not a mutation or abomination. And Sylveon do not exist to please the whims of us humans.

An Eevee evolving into a Sylveon is just another form of growth. So please, keep your Sylveon safe.

Weird ass Resident Evil head cannons because my brain is too silly

Wesker 100% got bullied by Chris and Jill when he was working with S. T. A. R. S. and cried at least once from it.

The moment Ashely got home she started crying to emo nightcore music while downing an entire pack of shredded cheddar cheese.

Luis definitely grabbed Leon's ass at least once whenever he bent down, then got the same treatment from Leon.

Leon purposefully coughs very dramatically in front of people who smoke to make them feel bad.

Chris has frequent nightmares about marrying Jill just for her to turn out to be Wesker in disguise. Every single time he has that nightmare he wakes up in a cold sweat with tears streaming down his face like he just saw the most horrifying thing know to man.

Rebecca has a penis straw some where in her house. It was a gift from Jill.

Wesker is horribly afraid of horses. Any time he sees a horse he starts running away as fast as he can. One time a horse smiled at him and he started screaming in terror.

The only reason Claire wears a ponytail is because one time when she was younger she went to a public pool with Chris and got her hair stuck in one of the drains and had to get a short hair cut. She was bullied about it for years by Chris.

Sherry is obsessed with Pokemon, especially when Leon first started working with the government since he got a bunch of money, and had a Pokemon themed bedroom. Her favourite Pokemon is Sylveon. Leon's is Pikachu because he's a dumb idiot who never saw the appeal and just wanted to make Sherry happy.

William was incredibly nerdy to the point where Annette would sometimes tape his mouth shut while they worked or else her infodump about each way to use a syringe/suture needle/any sort of medical shit they had to use. Albert didn't mind it when he rambled, though.

Chris once pranked Albert by switching his artificial sugars for his coffee with salt and hiding laxatives in it as well. Albert has never forgave him.

Jill once smacked Chris so hard he fell over and folded like an omelette. His spine has never recovered.

Leon was 100% a fan of Oingo Boingo and Weird Al. I will not explain any further.

Ada gets her nails done every other month by the same nail tech. Rebecca is secretly the nail tech.

Leon once accidentally sat on one of Sherry's Plush Charizards and got screamed at for an hour. Sherry said that she didn't want his "butt cooties" on her dragon.

Ashley loves cheese. Specifically brie.

Leon sometimes stares outside of the windows in his home while zoning out and standing completely straight. He also falls asleep like that with his eyes open. Chris will sometimes join him in watching the outside except he stands like a dad and does that thing where he has some sort of nut in his hands and shakes them around before eating them.

Chris wants to have kids, more specifically a daughter, so when Leon was on missions and Claire had to babysit her, he'd try to bond with Sherry. Sherry was horribly afraid of him and would cry if she was picked up by him.

Chris once smacked Wesker so hard his glasses went flying off. Wesker immediately got on the floor and started searching for them Velma style.

Leon unironicaly goes "YEOWCH!" whenever he gets hurt.

In the helicopter, Carlos slung his arm around Jill to try and be hot. It backfired once he realized Jill was both sleeping and drooling all over his arm. Ew.

Leon coughs like an old man on hospice.

Wesker sneezes like a kitten, especially during serious situations. He goes, "I'LL FUCKING END YOU-Achoo! (｡>﹏<｡)"

William once mistook Albert for Anette when he was incredibly tired and kissed Wesker on the lips. Neither were complaining.

The (Personal) Is (Political)

A rare piece I consider Fully Finished simply as a jpeg, though I may do something physical with it regardless. "Director commentary" below, but I strongly encourage you to go over this and analyze it yourself before clicking through, then see how much your reading aligns with my intent.

Elements I told the model to add and a brief (...or at least inexhaustive) overview of why:

Anime style and character figures - Frequently associated with commercial "low" art and consumer culture, in East Asia and the English-speaking world alike, albeit in different ways - justly or otherwise. There is frequently an element of racism to the denigration of anime styles in the west; nearly any American artist who has taken formal illustration classes can tell you a story of being told that anime style will only hinder them, that no one will hire them if they see anime, or even being graded more harshly and scrutinized for potential anime-esque elements if they like anime or imply that they may like anime - including just by being Asian and young. On the other hand, it is true that there is a commercial strategy of "slap an anime girl on it and it will sell". The passion fans feel for these characters is genuine - and it is very, very exploitable. In fact, this commercialization puts anime styles in particular in a very contentious position when it comes to AI discussions!

Dark-skinned boy with platinum and pink [and blue] hair - Racism and colorism! They're a thing, no matter how much the worst people in the world want you to think they're long over and "critical race theory" is the work of evil anti-American terrorists! I chose his appearance because I knew that unless I was incredibly lucky, I would have to fight with this model for multiple hours to get satisfactory results on this point in particular - and indeed I did. It was an interesting experience - what didn't surprise me was how much work it took me to get a skin color darker than medium-dark tan; what did surprise me was that the hair color was very difficult to get right. In anime art, for dark skin to be matched with light hair and eyes is common enough to be...pretty problematic. Bing Image Creator/Dall-E, on the other hand, swings completely in the opposite direction and struggles with the concept of giving dark-skinned characters any hair color OTHER than black, demanding pretty specific phrasing to get it right even 70% of the time. (I might cynically call this yet another illustration against the pervasive copy-paste myth...) There is also much to say about the hair texture and facial features - while I was pleased to see that more results than I expected gave me textured hair and/or box braids without me asking for it, those were still very much in the minority, and I never saw any deviation from the typical anime facial structures meant to illustrate Asian and white characters. Not even once!

Pink and blue color palette - Our subject is transgender. Bias self-check time: did you make that association as quickly as you would with a light-skinned character, or even Sylveon?

Long hair, cute clothes, lots of accessories - Styling while transmasc is a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't situation, doubly so if you're not white. In many locations, the medical establishment and mainstream attitude demands total conformity to the dominant culture's standard conventional masculinity, or else "revoking your man card" isn't just a joke meant to uphold the idea that men are "better" than women, but a very real threat. In many queer communities, especially online, transmascs are expected to always be cute femboys who love pink (while transfems are frequently degraded and seen as threats for being butch), and being Just Some Guy is viewed as inherently a sign of assimilationism at best and abusiveness at worst. It is an eternal tug-of-war where "cuteness" and ornamentation are both demanded and banned at the same time. Black and brown people are often hypermasculinized and denied the opportunity to even be "cute" in the first place, regardless of gender. Long hair and how gender is read into it is extremely culture-dependent; no matter what it means to you, if anything, the dominant culture wherever you are will read it as it likes.

Trophies and medals - For one, the trans sports Disk Horse has set feminism back by nearly 50 years; I'm barely a Real History-Remembering Adult and yet I clearly remember a time when the feminist claim about gender in sports was predominantly "hey, it's pretty fucked up that sports are segregated by sex rather than weight class or similar measures, especially when women's sports are usually paid much less and given weirdly oversexualized uniforms," but then a few loud living embodiments of turds in the punch bowl realized that might mean treating trans people fairly and now it's super common for self-proclaimed feminists - mostly white ones - to claim that the strongest woman will still never measure up to the weakest man and this is totally a feminist statement because they totally want to PROTECT women (with invasive medical screenings on girls as young as 12 to prove they're Really Women if they perform too well, of course). For two, Black and brown people are stereotyped as being innately more sporty, physically strong, and, again, Masculine(TM) than others, which frequently intersects with item 1...and if you think it only affects trans women, I am sorry my friend but it is so much worse and more extensive than you think.

Hearts - They mean many things. Love. Happiness. Cuteness. Social media engagement?

TikTok - A platform widely known and hated around these parts for its arcane and deeply regressive algorithm; I felt it deserved to be name/layout/logodropped for reasons that, if they're not clear already, should become so in the final paragraph.

Computers, cameras and cell phones - My initial specification was that one of the phones should be on Instagram and another on TikTok, which the model instead chose to interpret as putting a TikTok sticker on the laptop, but sure, okay. They're ubiquitous in the modern day, for better and for worse. For all the debate over whether phones and social media are Good For Us or Bad For Us, the fact of the matter is, they seem to be a net positive-to-neutral, whose impacts depend on the person - but they do still have major drawbacks. The internet is a platform for conspiracy theories and pseudoscience and dangerous hoaxes to spread farther than ever before. Social media culture leaves many people feeling like we're always being watched and every waking moment of our lives must be Perfect - and in some senses, we are always being watched these days. Digital privacy is eroding by the day, already being used to enforce all the most unjust laws on the books, which leads to-

The blue in the hair - I only prompted for platinum and pink in the hair, but the overall color palette description "bled" over here anyway, completing the trans flag, making it even more blatant, and thus even more effective as a bias self-check.

The Macbook - I only specified a laptop. Hilariously ironic, to me, that a service provided through Bing interpreted "laptop" as "Macbook" nearly every time. In my recent history, 22 out of 24 attempts show, specifically, a Macbook. Microsoft v. OpenAI divorce arc when? ;) But also, let us not forget Apple's role in the ever-worsening sanitization of the internet. A Macbook with a TikTok sticker (or, well, a Tiikok sticker - recognizable enough) - I can think of little more emblematic of one of the main things I was complaining about, and it was a happy accident. Or perhaps an unhappy one, considering what it may imply about Apple's grip on culture and communications.

Which brings me to my process:

It wants to be Art(TM), yet it wants to ban Politics(TM); two things which are very much incompatible - and so, I wanted to make A Controversial Statement using only the most unflaggable, innocuous elements imaginable, no matter how long it took.

.Sylveon is a fairy-type Pokemon and was once an Eevee. 

.They evolved rather quickly as they had more than enough friendship with you to evolve into Sylveon. 

.They had been your starter Pokemon and they were very attached and loyal to you. 

.Once they did evolve this changed, they were now able to talk, though it started out small. 

.Also it had them having new feelings for you, nice they had maturity. 

.These feelings were rather dark and it caused a lot of issues. 

.For one thing, they did not like sharing you with anyone else, so they were jealous of your other Pokemon. 

.They were the only Pokemon that you needed, they did not see your other Pokemon as rivals though. 

.Whenever you are sad or angry they use their ribbon-like feelers to calm you down and make you feel at pace. 

.They hate to see you sad or angry so they use this to keep you calm. 

.They also manipulate you a bit because if you were angry with them they they would use it on you to force you to calm down and to relax. 

.So they are a slightly manipulative yandere. 

.It loves to hold your hand with its feelers, as it walks with you like this, it is a way to keep you calm and to keep you close so that you do not leave them ever. 

.It also uses its feelers to let its rivals let down their guard before they attack. 

.Yes they would attack their rivals, may their rivals be human or Pokemon. 

.It always has its guard up when rivals are concerned because they do not play around at all! 

.It does not care how much bigger, more powerful, or more dangerous their rival is, if it comes down to it, it will charge unflinchingly into battle to fight for you their darling. 

.They are also like this when it comes to protecting you, they will go in head first with no flinching to fight off anyone that dares try and harm you and or take you away. 

.They are a very loving yandere as well, loving to dance with you and to just be close to you. 

.They tend to be very affectionate and love to snuggle, sleeping beside you at all times. 

.They are also fiercely loyal as a yandere. 

.They will travel through any force or danger or anything like that to stay by your side and keep you safe. 

.They would face the most dangerous things just to make sure you are safe. 

.They deal with rivals head-on and would not tolerate them at all. 

.They actually are one of the few yanderes that will never ever confess their feelings to you. 

.They do love you with all their heart, but this Sylveon they are too afraid of losing you that they will keep their feelings inside and not tell you how they feel.

Plasma—Mismagius—♀—Naughty Nature After spending the night in the forest near Ecruteak city, Dia found that one of her Pokeballs was no longer empty. Inside, was Plasma, the Misdreavus. Plasma doesn’t remember much from before this point, but occasionally has flashes from what she assumes was her life as a human. The last memory she has is being in the mountains at night, surrounded by rocks that look suspiciously like tombstones… Mischievous and a prankster, Dia often gets requests for Plasma to help with scaring away humans/Pokemon from entering restricted areas, working in haunted houses, etc. ✩Notes: taller than average, but not max size

Bun (Bunnicula)—Lopunny—♂—Adamant Nature Dia found an egg and a Lopunnite abandoned at her doorstep one day. Unable to find the original owner, Dia decided to keep the egg. Lulu (Dia’s Audino) hatched the egg and helped to raise the rambunctious buneary. Bun is quick to anger and often picks fights—especially when he’s mistaken for a female. Despite his tough guy demeanor, he really wants to become a strong Pokemon that can protect others and trains daily to meet his goals. ✩Notes: wears bandana with Lopunnite

Syntha—Leafeon—♀—Mild Nature Syntha was raised as a housepet by an elderly, retired singer. When she passed away, her children had no interest in taking care of their mother’s Leafeon and simply released her into the city. Alone and afraid, she was found by Dia’s older sister, Saku. Syntha was tired of being cooped up her whole life, and happily joined Dia when extended the offer to travel. Later on, Dia brought home a Vaporeon, Navy, that quickly bonded with Syntha and the two had three children—Nunnally (Sylveon), Dominic (Espeon), and Damian (Jolteon). Her favorite activities include sunbathing, spending time with her family, and singing.

Miloh—Lucario—♂—Quiet Nature The child of Dia's Lucario, Reiki, and an Absol belonging to Dia’s husband. Not long after meeting her then boyfriend (now husband), Dia was presented with an egg by her Lucario, Reiki. She left the egg in Dia’s care and disappeared. Dia’s husband Absol was disinterested in being a father, so Dia hatched it on her own. Miloh’s shy but amiable. He enjoys friendly competition and training for battle. His best friend, Flurn (Flygon) and him play and spar often. Unfortunately, Miloh has been unable to awaken his aura abilities and, therefore, is unable to evolve. ✩Notes: fluffier and has Absol eyes due to father; unable to mega-evolve

Azu—Azelf—Hardy Nature Not long after Dia qualified as a champion rank, she was approached by a trainer who demanded a battle. She agreed, and was met with an Azelf and Latias. They were clearly being mistreated and kept hostage in master balls. Dia quickly defeated him. With a little “persuasion”, he relinquished the two Pokemon to Dia and she released them. Latias flew away, but Azelf decided to tag along. Although they have been caught by Dia, Azu is free to come and go as they please. They rarely visit and, when they do, they only lurk or play with the other Pokemon—Azu’s not interested in battling or interacting with any other humans.

He values all his Pokémon but Mimikyu and his sylveon are the two he is almost always seen with, he's had his sylveon the longest, since way before he lost his voice and his Mimikyu (as shown in the image) he found when Aiden took him into an abandoned supermarket.
