The idea that the Howl's moving castle movie is just the embellished story told by Howl to Morgan while Sophie threatens to cut off his suits again because: "That's definitely not how that went, Howl ! " is hilarious.
i am such a horrible little apologist for every buffyverse woman. they could drink my blood or sacrifice me to a demon or just fucking beat me up and i'd probably be into it
The fact that Howl lightheartedly called his new born ugly and proceeded to say "chip off the old block" and got yelled at by Sophie means that Morgan is Sophie's spitting image
see now the theme of soulmates is sprinkled throughout the romances of wayhaven chronicles. the detective can help control m’s pheromones and touch them without causing them pain (something no one else has been able to do), n states that they knew from the moment they met the detective that they were meant for each other, f (who feels like they don't belong anywhere) finds a home in the detective, and a’s shell that they have built up starts to disappear which has been something no one was able to do before (not even unit bravo). furthermore, the temptation of the detective's blood represents their connection to their love interest: they have special blood and vampires drink blood, showing that the detective contains something that the love interest needs to live (both metaphorically and physically). therefore, the detective has an intrinsic and unexplainable connection to their love interest that indicates that they were made for each other since the detective gives them something they have been lacking.
Sometimes I think about how weirdly but logically Howl is a good with babies? Like Sophie is literally bad at babies cause she only had younger sisters who were kinda close in age, but Howl has a niece he's close with?
But he's a fucking weirdo father. Like he's literally out there confusing his son whether he's turning his pregnant wife into a cat or turning himself into his son's cousin. I mean obviously his methods work and his plans are op and otherwise everyone might get killed BUT... I just know Morgan would take Sophie's side in their daily arguments
Nate makes Morgan and Lauren wear T-shirts of shame emblazoned with the scarlet letter A after they get caught with their hands down each other's pants in public for the third time.
One really cute thing about Howl that I really really liked is that he canonically is able to hold a newborn.
This may not seem so significant until you remember that Sophie got freaked out when trying to hold Morgan for the first time, like she was geniunely scared of holding him and didn't really know how. She's the mother. Typically you'd expect the mother to know what she's doing and the father to be absolutely clueless, especially when the father is someone like Howl.
However, instead we get the reverse; Sophie is the uncertain panicked one and Howl is the one who is clearly more comfortable and I believe it was said he looked more used to holding babies too.
