Y/N, a crimelord, the one responsible behind his situation: Anything you like.
Dick: …Do you like ABBA?
Y/N: I love ABBA.
Dick: Yeah?
Y/N: Yep.
Dick: What’s your favorite ABBA song?
Y/N: Dancing Queen.
Dick: Dancing Queen? Yeah. Yeah, it’s great, isn’t it? [starts singing “Dancing Queen” under his breath]

Lucy, looking at cave paintings: We don't know why humankind was at war with the cows, and tragically, we never will
Lucy: In fact, we'll probably never even know the name of the artist or these cows, because whoever painted this is almost certainly dead now
Skull: *clears throat*
Skull: the cows were little bitches

Jessica: My son Paul invented a treadmill for his girlfriend's pet worm. The sketches were very convincing, considering he was on mushrooms... Mind you, the prototype did pull the worm's head off.
Jessica: Worst ending to a birthday party I've ever been to...

Niffty:Some people have a sudden religious conversion don't they?
Charlie:Yes they do :)
Niffty:Like my mate Husk was driving to a poker game when a lorry crossed in front of him. He crashed into the back and everything went slomo. Husk who's never been religious in his life spoke to Jesus and said "if I survive this, I'll belive in you."
Niffty:He did survive, but he fractured his skull and broke both his legs. Why did Jesus do that to him?
Charlie:Well a lot of people bring up this question. If we belive in a good God then why is there so much-
Niffty:You see Husk never forgave him. He said "if I ever see christ he's a dead man".

Theta Sigma Interviewing People for his Earth Project at the Academy Part 1
Theta Sigma: King Arthur came a lot, didn't he?
Poor human: I think you mean he's associated with the court of Camelot.
Theta: No, it definitely says here. 'King Arthur came a lot.' Do we know if he came a lot? Or like, just the same as the average man?
Human: ....The only evidence I have in that regard is that he's said to have one child.
----
Theta: The Victorians had horse-drawn buses, but you never see horses drawing anything these days.
Theta: When did they lose their ability to draw?
Human: When we talk about horse-drawn buses, we're not really talking about horses drawing buses.
----
Theta: Ancient people invented money to make life on Earth easier, but in doing so, they inadvertently invented capitalism, which is going to kill everyone.
----
Theta: Social media has been polarizing people, hasn't it? Like what's already happened to the bears.
Human: What bears?
Theta: Polar bears.
----
Theta: Which was more culturally significant: the Renaissance or 'Single Ladies' by Beyonce?
----
Theta: This is the famous Greenwich Marillion Line. I can be in the past and in the future with the present running right up through my middle bits.
----
Theta: But what was so great about Henry VIII? He had six wives, all called Catherine. He was a Catherineaholic. Or a Catholic, for short.

LUKE: You know how the human brain is full of pipes?
SPENCER: I did not…
LUKE: You didn’t know about that?
SPENCER: I didn’t know about that.
LUKE: Okay, well the brain’s full of pipes. You know how philosophers have these thoughts, and they try and push these thoughts through these pipes? When you’re having a big idea, is it best to break it up into lots of little thoughts, about the size of peas, and squeeze them through in quick succession, or just bite the bullet and force it through your mind pipe in one huge clod? Like gritting your teeth and thinking for dear life?
SPENCER: …
SPENCER: Well, that’s a very interesting way of describing two general tendencies in philosophy. One, the more analytic style, which means cutting problems up into bite-sized portions—
LUKE: Peas.
SPENCER: Into… peas. And, the other a more synthetic approach which takes on a larger perspective. So, your characterization is, in fact, a rather intriguing delineation of two major strands in current philosophy.
LUKE: …
LUKE: Is that good?
SPENCER: Excellent.
LUKE: *fist pumps* Yessss.

Tag Game: People I'd like to Know Better
Thank you for tagging me @rapha-reads! I'm flattered! Hope your day is going well!
Last song: The Horse and The Infant, Epic the Musical (because I am a) obsessed with musical and b) was reading @nellie-elizabeth's excellent analysis of it and needed to compare with my ears and screech)
Last book: I tend to read multiple books at the same time so I'll give ya a handful lol! Beowulf: A New Translation, by Maria Dahvana Headley (very interesting, uses extremely modern language to tap into the energy of "bar story" that is under explored in a lot of Beowulf translations to my knowledge. I finished it last night), The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller (first time reading, but obviously I know how it ends. I'm doing so ok right now.), Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (finished last week, I wrote an essay on Miyazaki for my film class last semester and wanted to check out the source material after years of watching the movie. It was very charming fun! And also I was listening to it in audiobook form, which meant that I got to listen to the welsh accent, which please me greatly.) and Ancient Greek Civilization by Jeremy McInerney (not sure if this counts as a book because it is in fact just a professor lecture via the Great Courses, but it is an audiobook on Libby so I am counting it lol).
Last TV show: Cunk on Earth last night with my family, Dimension 20 (Time Quangle) today while taking a lunch break, and last tv show BINGED would be The Magicians last week.
Sweet/savory/spicy: Sweet all the way!!! Every time!
Relationship status: Single, open to casual smooching of my friends and/or a ten year slow burn but low-key possibly aro-ace spec and not too worried about it atm
Last thing I googled: I'm not 100% sure because I have about 30 windows and 5 million tabs open right now and have been bopping between them all day screwing up my history thoroughly, but I think either petteia (search term something like "ancient greek equivalent for chess") or like... my school website.
Looking forward to: The Magicians Fanworks Extravaganza Welcome Home Week 1! I've been trying to get some writing done today and yesterday for it :D Also walking in the woods tomorrow, fingers crossed it isn't too snowy for that.
Current obsession: The Magicians, Epic the Musical/The Iliad and Odyssey, Dimension 20, and a dnd character I made that I got way too obsessed with and now cannot bear to risk the character development of through collaborative improv. I must write a book about her now, such is life.
No pressure tagging if anyone else would like to do this :) @eliotqueliot @nellie-elizabeth @portraitofemmy @ameliajessica @spiders-hth-is-an-outlier @hmgfanfic @bellamyblakru @unlifeira

THE BRAINSTORM
After a couple of intense brainstorming sessions which led to almost nothing, I have finally found my source of inspiration.
One of my all time favorite songs has came up on my playlist, and a sudden idea for my project appeared in my mind. The hero of the occasion is a song called “Lonely Boy” by The Black Keys.
The song, to which I was immensely fond of a couple of years back, has reminded me of that rush of doing something that you love and getting recognition for it, getting praise. I was enlightened when I came to a certain conclusion, based on my own life experiences - whenever you give freedom to aspiring young people in terms of art everything might go to chaos, but it can turn out unexpectedly creative and in some cases it could carry a concrete meaning(or it may just look or sound good, with no necessary meaning)
Based on all my reflections and derivations, I present to you “Label, Finally” - a comedy shot in a format of a mockumentary, telling a story of an eccentric bunch of aspiring musicians finally getting recognition.
The main storyline consists of 5 main characters, who you could call a “basic” band:
Guitarist
Drummer
Bassist
Keyboard
Tambourine/triangle/simple percussion
All the band members will really differ from one another. For example, the drummer will be into classical music (which is not really common), and the tambourine player who will seem to know quite everything in music theory, will be the front man of the group.
The movie will be shot based on inspirations from various films/shows of a similar format: The Office, This is Spinal Tap, What We Do In The Shadows and Cunk on Earth. I would really like to give this project a feel of a sitcom comedy mixed with unserious interviews and upbeat characters.
I am still to do in-depth research in terms of the genre of comedy, however I have already noted out important distinctions of this genre. Dynamic camera movements and easy-to-get humor have to be present in order to create a fun to watch and in some way, relatable, experience for the viewers.

A mind map including the main plot, the setting and the research which I did when brainstorming my idea.
