Happy final day of July! 🌞The year has gone fast ▶️ and slow ⏸️ at the same time. It’s been 194 days since the first case of COVID-19 arrived in the US, just north of Seattle. 🦠I still wonder how we ended up in this situation. I earned my BA long ago. In a few weeks I’ll be finishing a nearly two-year back-in-college adventure, and graduating with an Associate’s degree in digital marketing. 👩‍🎓 When I started on this path it was because I felt like I needed to acquire new knowledge and skills in order to remain relevant. 👍 I have always loved technology, so digital marketing seemed like a great extension of my existing skills. 💻 Last week John Lewis, a U.S. Congressman, passed away. 🇺🇲 I’d be lying if I told you I knew all about him, because I didn’t. But after he died I came to learn about him and I felt in awe of all he accomplished in his life. 🏛️ It made me think about what I could say about my own life and what I’ve done with it. ⏳ And what I’ll do in the future? 🏞️ Today a friend, Jan, called 📱and I shared this thought with her. She piped up with, “You’ve raised two great kids!” 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Then she asked if I’d ever planted a tree? 🌱 (Jan is an optimist). We suspect Mount Baker and the surrounding area currently look quite a bit different than what is depicted in this hand-colored photograph, but we always appreciate the view no matter what season.
