From a visual perspective, Heilung embraces grungy tones and intricate Norse designs. Their use of fire, natural and artificial lighting and projections all contribute to the sense of ritual and spiritual significance that the band aims to create.
Typography: Heilung's visual identity relies on stylized, all-caps typography reminiscent of Old Norse runes.
Illustration: Heilung's album covers feature detailed black-and-white illustrations and hues of colour depicting mythical creatures, warriors, and landscapes. These illustrations have intricate linework and an intriguing colour palette, giving them a timeless quality.

Heilung's live performances invoke emotions of awe, connection, spirituality, and intensity in their audience. My graphic design project inspired by Heilung explores these emotional themes using light to create a visually dynamic experience. I will attempt to use different lighting, animation and photography techniques to evoke emotions such as awe, connection, and intensity, creating a graphic design project that resonates with the emotional depth of Heilung's musical performances and showcases the movement of light within the design.
Since colour, visual light, is a result of light waves refracting off of objects in different ways to bring us colour. Not only that, but phenomena in the universe involve colour. Nebulae have bright, shining colours because of their intense heat having a reaction with the elements that they're composed of. The surface of planets have different colours due to a range of different reasons.
I constructed a colourful pattern of different planet textures using pencil and felt markers.
