Guys. @mvshortcut gave me a really good idea.
What if, after regaining his memory (And after they deal with Curtain and get home safe and everything), Constance is immediately peppering him with questions (Or maybe before. It's Constance, so who knows) about his name.
"We can't keep calling you 'Milligan', it's not your name. Just tell us, or we'll have to find out another way."
And Milligan, of course, has a decision to make. No one can correct him, not even Kate, because no one knows his real name. This is a power he is only going to have once. And so he says:
"Dave."
Everyone is losing their minds, but in all different ways. Reynie is very polite and asks which name he'd prefer to go by, while Sticky is having a quiet mental breakdown. "What on earth why is his name 'Dave' of all things and now we have to get used to calling him something new and what if I forget I hate it when people call me the wrong name oh what if I mess up and he hates me now that would be awful especially since he's apparently Kate's dad-" Kate just rolls with it. "Okay, neat! Do you want me to call you that, or "Milligan", or "dad"? Or something else, have I talked to you about nicknames, yet?" Constance, meanwhile, being the one who asked in the first place, simply nods. (I don't think she's developed enough as a psychic to fully read his mind at this point, but she probably knows he's messing with them.)
Milligan holds on for as long as he can, but eventually he bursts out laughing, likely the first real laugh he's had in who knows how long, wiping away tears and chuckling to himself as he tries to calm down. He informs the children that, no, his name is not "Dave", but his isn't sure he wants to share it anyway, since he doesn't feel like it fits him anymore.
Once this message has sunk in, the kids realize something. Maybe Milligan can have this power twice, since they haven't told the rest of the adults yet. They all swear themselves to secrecy and the whole way home they pitch names for him to use when he dramatically re-introduces himself to Rhonda, Number Two, and Mr. Benedict.
They end up settling on "Francis", both because Kate thought it sounded funny, and Sticky mentioning that it can mean "free man", which Reynie and Milligan agreed was a very apt description. Constance voted for "Mulligan", but it was quickly vetoed.
The ordeal goes about as well as you'd expect, with Milligan doing an admirable job at keeping a straight face (and the children attempting less successfully) as Mr. Benedict smiled pleasantly and worked to fight off sleep at hearing Milligan had regained his memories, and Number Two tried to hide her distaste for the new name, and Rhonda was placidly neutral in the background. However, as soon as Mr. Benedict tried it out for the first time ("Well, Francis, would you care for some tea?"), Milligan and the children crack up, quite confusing the other three. It took two seconds for them to put the pieces together and figure out what was going on, and another ten minutes to fully explain the joke, at Mr. Benedict's request (especially because he kept falling asleep in the middle).

So I've been in the process of watching all of Columbo for the first time (loving it so far!) and recently finished the season 4 episode "Troubled Waters." I found it funny how Columbo and Mrs. Columbo are both on the ship yet she's never seen, though occasionally pointed to off screen. Is this the closest we ever get to actually seeing Mrs. Columbo in the show, or is there another episode that skirts the line even more?
glad to hear you're enjoying it!
columbo does actually describe the mrs. to a member of the ship staff, one of the few people in the series who corroborate her existence visually--she's a little bit shorter than her husband and has long, black hair.
they actually had a deleted scene in the scipt where instead of the insipid boat/ship confusion, they were going to show a mirror shot of columbo opening the door and saying "hi honey" only for it to be the wrong woman in the wrong room lol
THIS IS WHAT THEY TOOK FROM US
(bonus: king was seasick irl too)
in exercise in fatality, he implies she's on the thicker side:
discerning taste of a man who knows what he likes...
now, he may just be making this up in typical columbo fashion to perhaps make he and his wife seem "unhealthy" and "unthreatening" to a fitness buff, but considering his particularly affectionate tendencies towards other bigger women in the series (e.g. the russian cleaning lady in sex & the married detective, tyne daly in undercover), it's likely got an element of truth.
...a man who really knows what he likes
in rest in peace mrs. columbo, we very nearly see a portrait of her, later revealed to actually be her (presumably fully blood-related) sister, rita:
this...doesn't actually tell us much, considering the widely varying levels of facial resemblance that can occur in siblings. but having this photo combined with the description from the cruise, it's a pretty reasonable inference that mrs. c's got dark features as well as some degree of resemblance to her sister.
thus, to answer your question, seeing this photo is close as we get to actually rendering mrs. columbo's corporeal form--if she even has one.

ok, yknow what. it still bewilders me how comfortable ludger was even though he was forced to share the same room with casey. even i would hate sharing the same room with my family, no matter how close we are. plus ignoring the matter of attractions and embarrassment, ludger is still someone who is extremely introverted and highly values his privacy, so ¿¿¿¿¿¿ whats going on here and why did he consider [giving casey her own private room] == [she is now in debt to him] as if it didnt benefit them both or its not something he also wanted ??????

As much as I despise this line of thought because "I don't want him hurting!! :((((" my brain needs to know...
what is something that could make Eclipse's relationship with his brothers worse? or even possibly break it?
I can... I can sadly think of many scenarios where it could get worse, but I need to know.
You come into my house of hope, bat of violence raised, and want me to help? smh smh /lh
The thing is - you say you can think of many scenarios, meanwhile my brain is currently drawing blanks. Maybe it's just that I don't want to entertain the idea, because I always want them to get better, so all I can think of would be... severely out of character?
They love each other. Despite everything, their rocky start, the misunderstandings, the tension... None of that ever got to the love they have for each other.
Anything driving that wedge in further would be outside influence, or circumstantial, not intentional or by choice.
Like - I thought perhaps the agency might just outright ban them from contacting each other to prevent data leaks, but... I don't think Sun and Moon would have accepted the job then? A transfer, fine, they need some distance, but not no contact kind of distance. (And that... That actually might make it better. Because Eclipse saw how genuinely enthusiastic his brothers were, but as soon as that condition is dropped on them, they decline immediately? Seems like they do care, after all)
If Sun and Moon were a little more tone deaf, it could have been that once they started sharing stories about Y/N/ Robin they still didn't engage much otherwise (but they do! As soon as activity in the group chat picks up, they all text more, and react more to what the others sent!), giving the impression that they only care about their shiny new friend, and not Eclipse. That would have been a surefire way to push him away - so they only need someone to brag about having friends to, huh?
The promotion arc alt timeline actually would be the closest to canon that involves a direct negative effect on their relationship. Finding out Sun and Moon kept that kind of secret (albeit with good intentions) did not sit well with Eclipse, and that drabble left out the entire conversation between Eclipse and Sun, with Eclipse tearing into him (and Moon) for being stupid, patronizing, and frankly, insulting. And look what happened - because Eclipse immediately started relating to Robin, which just made his anger worse. The boys really fucked up in that one, and it will take/ took (since the drabble ends after a timeskip) a lot of fixing that, not just with Robin, but also Eclipse.
(He knows they have that savings account. He's gotten money from it for repairs often enough - but that it's a savings account specifically for him, and that they accepted a promotion they didn't want to accept for the pay raise but didn't even tell him hurts. Makes him feel like a burden, not a brother.)
As for completely breaking it? I either can't or won't think of anything. Like, nothing just pops up in my mind making me go "Oh yeah that'd fuck them up", but I'm also not particularly motivated to think of something? Even if a fight makes one side completely withdraw, I don't think the other side would ever stop trying to fix things. They're all so stubborn, after all.
Of course in reality it's completely valid to go NC after being hurt, even if the offending party regrets it and tries to apologize/ make amends - you don't owe anyone forgiveness. But my focus is simply hope, and family, and getting better - so that's the story these brothers get, too <3
