What's a beautiful girl like you doing in a club all by herself?
Another party, this time in Monaco. Your glass, filled with what seemed like a very expensive gin, vibrated to the the loud music playing in the club.
Let loose. You thought to yourself slightly lowering your body-con black dress and searching for familiar faces.
You looked around the VIP party you had been invited to. Ever since your dad's business put him on the "Forbes Richest" list your reputation had skyrocketed along with it. You were an A-lister yourself at this point, everyone longed for your appearance at their events, and as if your life depended on it, you attended. Your social media and events presence had helped you befriend the hottest models and richest rappers in the game and you quite enjoyed the lavish lifestyle.
You and your dad had flown down for the Monaco GP weekend, courtesy of the team principal of the most popular F1 team, Toto Wolff. Surprisingly, it was your first Grand Prix, and probably your last. The hospitality was, as usual, amazing but you found watching cars go around in circles slightly boring.
You took a rather large sip of your gin and started to tune into the beat, your body processing the large quantities of alcohol you had decided to ingest.
Because you hadn't been invited to the Grand Prix by a driver in particular and had failed to engage with any during the "boring" weekend, you found yourself attending the party and having to fit in all by yourself. Making your way through the club you encountered a few drivers, whom you recognised and recognised you, and their respective guests. You knew you weren't an easy face to forget, so it didn't take long before a few people started commenting about your presence.
Making yourself comfortable around the younger squad of drivers, your body swayed to the loud music that hit your ears. Your eyes shut as you engaged with the environment, allowing the melodies and strong base to sway you in.
"You're a Mercedes guest, aren't you?" A familiar voice rang through. Russell. Your eyes opened to look at the briton who stood very close to your ear, making sure his words were getting to you just fine. You nodded quickly, downing your drink before replying to him "Well, my dad is. I just tagged along"
His lips turned into a small smile as he took a good glance at you, leaning closer again he chatted a bit more; "and what did you think of it?"
"Not my vibe" You shrugged jokingly. "This though, is!" You put your empty glass down in a nearby table and pulled George into what seemed like a circle of people dancing, as In Da Club by 50 Cent started playing.
You both started dancing to the song, George's friends joined, and in no time you set yourself in the party ambient, drenching yourself in alcohol as more bottles were brought in at the request of Russell, Latifi, and a few other younger drivers you hadn't gotten your way around.
0 To 100 / The Catch up - by Drake came through the speaker.
This DJ knew his set you thought, before excusing yourself from the crowd that had embraced you. Feeling the need for a switch of environment you made your way to the bar. On your way, you drunkly greeted a few familiar faces, Bella Hadid and what looked like some actors who had come down for the Grand Prix.
Sitting on an empty stool at one of the bars in the Amber Lounge you asked the bartender for a glass of your favourite, gin. Your head nodded to the beat, it pounded hard. You knew you were more than tipsy at that point, but there was no sign of slowing down.
"Ayo! Bring us a bottle of your most expensive Prosecco!" You heard a voice yell through a line of people standing at the bar. A familiar voice.
His voice sang along to the lyrics, you were tempted to turn around to check who was yelling right behind your ear but your motion to turn was interrupted by the glass of gin you had requested being brought to you.
As you fiddled with the purse that hung around your shoulder, looking for your card, the familiar voice spoke again: "I've got that for you. On my tab, Mikey!" This time much closer to you.
You turned to your left, wanting to finally put a face to the voice your alcohol-filled brain didn't seem to recognise. Looking at the 5'9 figure standing next to you, it hit you that: you had failed to engage with any driver during the Grand Prix except for one.
It was more than obvious that you weren't going to be at the Mercedes garage and not meet their prominent stars. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas. It was Qualifying day and after an amazing performance from both drivers, Toto, at the request of your dad had introduced you to his prodigies. You had gotten the chance to meet the drivers and congratulate them both for their front-row quali positions.
Bottas was the quiet one, after meeting you and your dad he excused himself to his driver room. Lewis was more of a personality, he knew your dad from reading about him and their conversation seemed to flow from F1 to business to possible future lunch meetings. He glanced at you from time to time, the conversation didn't interest you but he somewhat did.
You knew Lewis was quite the party boy and a ladies man, it suited his champion attitude, so seeing him at the club did not surprise you at all. He had won the Grand Prix you remembered, your mind doing a little backflip to being at the back of the garage and giving him a quick hug after your dad had burst into "here's the man of the evening" compliments.
Your altered system forced you to bite your lip at the thought of Lewis Hamilton standing in front of you.
"Hey, it's you!" His eyes widened at the realisation, his breath smelled like nothing but expensive alcohol. He was drunk as a skunk, and to your liking, he looked extremely hot.
You widened your eyes jokingly, following his cue. "It is I!" you laughed slightly, trying to mock his accent.
"I met you on Saturday, no? Your dad is Toto's friend. What's your name again?" He grabbed the Prosecco bottle that had been handed to him and moved an inch closer to you.
"Yep, that's my dad! Y/N!" you yelled through the gap left between the two of you.
"And what's a beautiful girl like you doing in the club all by herself?" He asked before singing to a few lyrics of the song that currently burst through the speakers that were placed at the bar.
"Enjoying herself." You grabbed your glass and, nodding at him as a thank you for the drink, you stepped down the stool and made your way to the dance-floor. Nervously nibbling on your bottom lip at your choice of words you wondered if a little mystery was enough to keep Lewis interested.
Your hips moved at the sound of Ginza by J Balvin and almost immediately, you felt a body swaying along with yours. Him.
Lewis took a sip of the Prosecco bottle he was meant to take back to his group of friends as his own hips fell in somewhat of a sync with yours, his free hand grabbing your left thigh pulling you closer to his body. His motion felt like a cue for you to bend slightly and begin to grind on the "man of the evening", he deserved a little fun after the hard-work he put out on the track.
Eyes started turning to you two, as your bodies got carried away by the effects of the alcohol you had been consuming. You shrugged out the thought of being watched. If Lewis was comfortable, you were too.
"Y yo hoy estoy aquí imaginando. Sexy baila y me deja con las ganas" Lewis sang along to J Balvin but he sang it so close to your ear, he knew it was meant just for you to listen. His raspy voice sent chills down your spine, you didn't know what the words meant but he made them sound sexy and it empowered you. You chewed on your bottom lip as the DJ switched songs and moving away from him you sipped on your gin, cheering at the former drivers that had put you in the mood to party, who shot you back just as happy glances.
"Come to my table! Let's have some fun!" Lewis' drunk voice echoed through the pounds of your head. He was quick to grab your arm and pull you through the crowd to a more secluded area.
"Y/N everyone!!" He yelled once you approached a group of what looked like more mature and older people. Everyone turned their heads at the two of you and cheered loudly at Lewis' introduction of you, almost as if they were celebrating you tonight.
Daniel Ricciardo. Winnie Harlow. Neymar Jr were some of the faces you were able to recognise at first glance, everyone seemed as slapped as you, some of the girls were high as kites twerking on anything they could put their asses to. Now this was more your vibe.
As the night went on; more drinks came, you danced and enjoyed yourself. Sexual tension between you and Lewis had become hard to ignore and the amount of alcohol in your body had you craving him... all over you.
It's now or never you thought to yourself.
Downing your, God knows what number, cup you looked at Lewis who found himself having fun with his mates, his smile widely spread across is face, revealing his perfectly sharpened canine teeth.
If anything, we blame it on the alcohol.
You mentally thanked the Dj as Wild Thoughts by DJ Khaled started playing. Lewis' eyes darkened as he noticed you approaching him. Your dress hugged your body perfectly, making your figure hard to look away from. In a blink of an eye you had found your groins against one another's grinding on each other to the beat.
As the song went on, Lewis spun you around, having you against him drove him crazy. His hips thrusted your back, his fingers digging the skin on your thigh. He licked his lips at the thought of you, and almost as if he had been waiting for this moment the whole night, his lips met your bare shoulder.
Without ungluing his figure to yours, his tongue slowly traced your neck, sending chills down your spine. "Have I told you how beautiful you look?" He mumbled in between kisses on your bare skin. He didn't have to win you over with compliments, he already had you.
You could feel death glares from Lewis' female guests because of the moment you and the world champion were sharing. You used the uncomfortable stares as your cue to leave, turning to Lewis for the first time in what seemed like a long night, you stared into his - slightly droopy from the alcohol - brown eyes. Your arms automatically swung to his neck, he had yet another bottle in his hand but did not hesitate to wrap his arms around your waist.
"I don't think your friends are enjoying this little show we're putting on" You mumbled, signalling to the ladies who stood in the corner. Your eyes went from staring into his to looking at his lips, your breathing had become intense as you felt Lewis's body awfully close to yours, his member slowly caressing your upper thigh. He licked his lips, noticing how badly you stared. At that point of the night neither of you could contain how much you craved one another.
"They don't have to watch" Lewis whispered, shooting a quick glance at the models who seemed rather upset with his lack of attention on them; back to you, before grabbing your arm and pulling you through a back door that was close to the VIP area you were in, he mumbled: "I know a place".
You found yourself stumbling through the front entrance of a rather fancy building. Lewis lived conveniently close to the Amber Lounge, and in no time, his body guards had escorted the two of you to the penthouse.
Thanking his driver, you made your way into the elevator, and as soon as the doors shut close, Lewis had you pinned against the back wall. His eyes darkened again, his breathing hard over your lips.
Even drunk as a skunk, he looked and smelled amazing.
You watched him bite his lip as he leaned closer, making you crave his lips on yours even more.
It felt like heaven. When Lewis finally crashed his lips on to yours, his body weight causing you to lean further against the wall... it felt like heaven.
You groaned as the kiss didn't last as much as you wished to, the ding from the elevator interrupting it.
You were given no time to take in the surroundings of Lewis' perky home. He placed his arms on your hips and you automatically straddled him, the heat was back like it had never left, your lips were on his yet again. He kissed you so passionately you thought he was compensating from not doing it earlier. He knew his way through his home, and as your tongues met, he quickly found his way through his living room to his astounding suite.
Lewis dropped you on his bed, his eyes filled with lust and hunger. Behind him, the view of Monaco’s nightlife and beach shone through his large windows, the moonlight setting the perfect ambiance for what seemed like an exciting night for the both of you.
Your thoughts were distracted by Lewis’s touch. He had quickly removed his shirt and tossed it aside, his fingers now rested on top of your wet panties, his thumb caressing your clit. His body hoovered over yours, you closed your eyes and tilted your head back, allowing your body to feel Lewis’ movements on your area.
“Look at me” He demanded, his voice as deep as you’d ever hear it. “You’re so wet” He mumbled once your eyes obediently met his. Starving for him inside of you, you pulled your dress up your waist not once breaking eye contact, which caused Lewis to smirk. He attacked your neck, sucking and nibbling on your bare skin, his fingers slid your panties to the side, and with a small bite to your neck he inserted two fingers into you. You gasped at his sudden movement and your walls clenched in pleasure.
“Fuck!” Lewis muttered as he felt your juices coating his fingers. As instinct your knees bent, allowing Lewis to get a better grip of your inside walls. He picked up the pace, thrusting his fingers in and out of you. As your moans started getting louder, you feared Lewis had neighbours so you instantly bit your lip trying to contain your pleasure-filled screams.
“L-Lewis” you stumbled on your words, he knew just how deep to thrust and how much to curl his fingers. You longed for him inside you, your fingernails digging his tattooed back and your head titled back.
“Yes, baby?” He was enjoying watching you squirm in pleasure, his member hardening at the sound of your voice in his room.
"Don't make me wait" you pleaded, not being able to contain your hormones any longer. You wanted him inside you: “I want you. I want you to cum with me”
As if your wish was his command, Lewis’ drunk figure moved his hand away, he stood in front of the bed, and you took the moment to remove your dress, revealing your perfectly shaped and tanned body. Lewis, on his turn dropped his jeans. Both of you stood in awe of one another for awhile, hunger rising. He observed your breasts, and you engulfed the length of his now erect shaft.
You slowly removed your panties and dangled it in front of him, teasing the man that was going to eat you alive, the room smelled like expensive cologne and Prosecco. Lewis jaw hardened, his tattoos made his muscles more prominent... You just wanted to dig your fingernails on his biceps at that stance. He grabbed the panties off your hand and threw them to the side along with your dress and swiftly made his way on top of you. Cupping your breast with one hand, his thumb played with your nipple whilst the other filled his mouth. You lowered your hand and began to stroke Lewis’ cock; as soft and deep moans leaving his throat, your spine shivered.
“I want you so bad” You whispered, placing Lewis right at your entrance, the tip of him rubbing against your wet and now throbbing clit.
“How bad, baby?” He asked, pecking your lips. With his voice in a demanding whisper, you were quick to realise how much of a tease Lewis was, he enjoyed making his victims beg for him. He knew how good he was.
“So… so bad” You moaned into his lips. Just as much as Lewis, you knew what you wanted and you too knew how good you were. Not wanting to waste another second you took charge, placing his shaft at your entrance you helped him penetrate you. Lewis broke the kiss he had engaged in with you, a loud moan leaving his mouth once he felt how tight you were.
It took you a second to adjust to Lewis’ length as he made his way in and out of you, although intoxicated, he noticed your slight discomfort: “Are you alright?” he questioned, his furry brows tightening.
“Shh… don’t stop” You reassured him. With your hand around his neck you brought his head down to yours, you had grown to love his soft lips around the flesh of your neck. At your call, Lewis lowered his weight on to you and steadily picked up the pace. Every thrust brought you closer to an orgasm, his cock rubbing on your perfect spot.
You clenched your walls, digging your nails through his tattooed back. “Fuuuck!” You heard Lewis scream in absolute pleasure at the tightness around him. Lewis’ thrusts became deeper and faster, his forehead had grown sweaty, the room steamy. As he picked up his pace, all you could hear was small grunts from his perfectly sound voice and the clapping of his thighs against yours.
“I’m gonna cum” He moaned through shortened breaths. His warning brought you to your dominance senses. The thought of having Sir Lewis Hamilton begging you to cum extolled your ego. Without thinking twice you shifted your weight to the side, motioning what was well understood by Lewis. It was your turn to be on top.
Lewis, at the realisation that he was sleeping with a woman who knew what she wanted, eagerly obeyed and placed himself closer to the headboard of his king sized bed, not minding that you had interrupted his almost-orgasm.
Feeling good about impressing the seven-time world champion you slowly crawled up to the man that looked at you so hungrily, lust in his eyes only becoming more and more visible. His jaw clenched again as you straddled his waist, his now, thanks to you, cream-full cock entering your threshold again. Another loud moan, this time from the both of you. You bent over slightly, placing your hands on Lewis’ shoulders for support as you started bouncing on him.
“Just like that baby” He sang to you, one hand was tightly wrapped around your neck, and the other slapped your ass as hard as he could bring himself to. It drove you crazy, it made you want more of him in you.
Your breathing had gotten harder and your forehead had met his. “I want you to cum for me” You demanded. Lewis knew he was close to his finish line, but wanted you to finish with him. As you seemed to enjoy, he kept his veiny and robust hand around your neck, giving it light squeezes every time he felt you really deep.
His free hand moved to your clit and you shot your head back in utter pleasure.
“Right there… Keep it right there” You begged, knowing exactly what was going to happen in the next thirty seconds. Lewis, in satisfaction, rubbed on your throbbing bud whilst his own hardened at every movement of yours. His teeth met his bottom lip and his eyes fell shut. You knew he was ready to release, but you weren’t going to let him off easy.
“Look at me” You called. Your ego growing with every sign of obedience from Lewis. His eyes watered a little, you knew you had him, and every thrust brought you both closer to your orgasm.
“Baby…” he whispered, his hand still in circular motions around your clit, his grip becoming weaker “Please” he begged, at no point breaking the eye contact you called for. Pleased with his submission, you mumbled: "Don't stop", and he understood the assignment. You both picked up the pace, his finger on your wet clit in circular motions and you on top of his cock, bouncing up and down.
Before you could say knife you felt your legs shaking, your whole body trembled as you released all your juices on Lewis' hand and cock, a loud moan leaving your throat, your voice echoing in the penthouse.
Sorry neighbours.
And with no time to digest the wonders that Lewis had done to your body, he quickly pushed you off him and you obeyed, his pulsating cock releasing right then and there, on his six-pack filled torso.
You were both breathing heavily, laying on your backs. The comfort of Lewis' bed took you in, your head pounding again from the intoxication, the large amount of alcohol still in your system. He chuckled slightly at the turn of events of that Monaco GP Sunday, his gaze never leaving his ceiling.
Eager and starving for more of you, Lewis found in his deep breaths strength to ask: "When do you leave?"

concert report, I guess
Tumblr media
Idk if anyone wants to hear this, but here’s my memories from the Lindemann show in Leipzig, 14th february 2020. Keep in mind, all of this is my own opinion, I don’t mean to attack anyone here, and that I could easily be mistaken with some, my memory loves playing games with me :^) Also if you’re still to attend a concert and don’t want to be spoilered, avoid this, obviously.
Waiting.
Drove by bike to the venue, arrived at around 1.30/2pm. Around 15 people were already there, waiting. They were really nice altogether. Into 3pm, people started to form a disciplined queue. Shitty weather, but at least no heavy rain. Cold, though. 4pm; I decided to drive back home to get rid of our bag (on my way to the bikes a man in his fifties asked me who’s playing tonight, pointing at the crowd, bewildered, I responded “Lindemann, front singer of Rammstein”, he was like “I read he was born here!!” super excited that he knew – he was cute lol so confused by how crazy people are); got into a rather unpleasant rainfall on my way back to the venue. 5pm; people were told to not stand on the street, so people gathered all around us, ignoring the built queue from before; assholes tried to cut in line. Got really crowded, people in front us were still being really kind and considerate, people behind us not so much. Last hour went by quickly, good company around us, save for some idiots. 6.30pm; security let us in – people from behind were pushing, not cool. Inside the venue, it was really chill, I even waited for @haifisch-ohne-traenen, walked inside, people gathered around in the middle, low-key ran to our spot in the first row, right in front of Peter AW YEAH!!! Another wait til 8pm, filled with squeezing through people to get to the toilet and back, and chatting with the two guys behind us.
Jadu.
Shit, I’m so gay. She literally owned the stage so hard and her band mates were so cute and the keyboarder interacted with us a lot, he kept grinning at us whenever he saw us singing along; a perfect opening to an awesome night.
Aesthetic Perfection.
Surprisingly good tbh? Wasn’t the biggest fan after listening to some songs on youtube, but they’re a banger live. Really set the mood for the main act.
Lindemann.
Oh boy, where to start. First thing we saw was a video of Till in a diaper, with a bald head and the goggles from drsg’95 (at least I think it were those?), running and dancing around on the street, sucking his thumb (note: I reckon this video was shot a couple years ago). Actually hilarious, a surprisingly, and welcome, light hearted start to the show. I’m just gonna go through this song by song, because I suck at remembering things and need some kind of guidance lol.
Skills in Pills
Good song, good opener. The crowd went apeshit, it felt like the air was exploding, really unbelievably powerful. Peter was looking at us (naturally, because we were quite literally in his face), making faces, which he kept doing throughout the whole concert. Till was wandering across the stage, it seemed like he was noticing a lot of people, esp. in the first row, including us, huehue.
Ladyboy
One of my favorite Lindemann songs. Was so cool seeing and hearing it live, I went absolutely wild. I think this was the first time they changed places, and Jonathan (the one with the braided pigtails) came over to us, and whoops I fell in love.
Fat
Not the biggest fan of the song, admittedly. Still a good one. Good placement. The first time I glanced at the screen behind them, only did it one or two times more. I came here for the music, not some fucked up porn clips, I can easily find those on pornhub, thank you.
Ich Weiß Es Nicht
Never liked the verse, but the chorus is so touching to me, idk why. Sang my heart out at the chorus.
Allesfresser
Okay so I came prepared. I knew what was gonna happen. First half of the song was incredible, another fav song. Screamed my head off. Then, cakes were brought and ngl, it kinda took away from this awesome song for me. I really, really did not want to end up having cake smeared all over me by the first third of the concert. So I watched out for them, praying that they wouldn’t aim in our direction. Ended up with a few lil teeny tiny sprimkles on my arm and in my hair (that actually came from a cake Jonathan yeeted over our heads :3c), nothing too bad. Cake was actually delicious. Last cake was thrown by Sebastian, Peter’s son, Till was standing in the middle, in front of the drums, stealthily (so he thought) pointing to our side, but Sebastian didn’t catch it and threw it into the audience across from us and boy, you should’ve seen Till’s face lol. He looked so mad, internally. Also I was really happy to get to rewatch a clip from Hänsel und Gretel on the screen.
Frau & Mann
I have never seen a crowd go that hard to a song. Probably the loudest on the audience’s side. Was jumping a lot, Till came over a lot. Guess bobbing boobs really are an efficient Till-magnet. Actually, when the line “Kann dich nicht vergessen” (“Cannot forget you”) came on, Till pointed directly at us, like no fucking lie, we just froze. I know, I can’t be for sure, blah blah, but come on, just let me believe he pointed directly at us ok. There’s a video on youtube, where you see him pointing into the crowd at that line, that’s where we stood.
Knebel
Best choice they could’ve made regarding the placing of the song. Everyone was still hyped up from Frau & Mann, Knebel topped it. Starting out so calm and lovely, I really like the first half of the song. Beautiful lighting, they were so pretty in the blue light. Scream point hit, Lindemann hoaxed us into screaming MUND but made a break, Till shaking his head at us. Haha. Funny funny. Eh. I knew it was gonna happen, so it fell a bit flat for me personally, but okay I guess. Crowd went absolutely apeshit. So insane.
Home Sweet Home
Beautiful song, so heartfelt and a really good way to calm down after Frau & Mann and Knebel. Almost cried, ngl.
Cowboy
I. Fucking. Love. This. Song. Second time I looked at the screen and wow ngl, Till looked really good on the rodeo machine thing with his cowboy hat on lol. Also the song where Jonathan came over again and I made a heart with my hands and he smiled at me and :’)))
Golden Shower
Such a good song. My heart went big badum badum every time Peter shouted “Cunt” into the mic right in front of us, it felt like we were bonding just through shouting “Cunt” in unison lol. Also there was this part of them taking turns in raising their arms to the audience in time to the music, and I was laughing my ass off, because while Peter, Jonathan, and Sebastian all were perfectly in synch with the beat, Till always was a tad off and idk man, this shit was just so funny to me like c’mon Till, it’s not that hard.
Blut
Ah, yes. Like I said, we came prepared. We had our hoodies safely (and dryly) brought to the coatroom before the concert started so we were READY to get wet. The one thing I didn’t know though, the sprinkler system at the edge of the stage started right at the beginning of the song. I expected it to go off in like the middle of the song, or with the first chorus. So, sprinklers started, I saw the water coming. I thought “ah okay it’s just a little drizzle”, but boy, I was wrong. It felt like we were soaked after the second (and last) time we got sprayed. And actually? It was so nice. You know how concerts just make you all sweaty and drain your body from all water? I wouldn’t recommend trying to drink the water that was sprayed over us (it just had a weird smell to it, idk), but it was a welcome cooling, in that moment. Just imagine you feel like a little crop in the blazing sun, and then, finally, you get watered. Bye bye make up, but I just didn’t care lol. I don’t want to know what we looked like after that song. About the song itself; I didn’t mind the “interruption” at all, Blut is a decent song imo, but nothing more, so it didn’t bother me as much as the cake war during Allesfresser.
Platz Eins
Another top fav song for me. I’m not quite sure how to describe it, but Till and Peter climbing into that balloon thing and shuffling “out of reach” actually heightened my hype?? Like I could concentrate on really letting go during the song, screaming the lyrics out like there was no tomorrow. Also watching Jonathan and Sebastian’s little choreography was so entertaining. Jonathan being lifted up high also was something for the eye, at least for me :^) Also I remember the light show because it was gay. As in, so many vibrant rainbow colors. When Till and Peter returned to their starting point, Till climbed out, and Peter was holding his nose like Till just farted lol. The balloon started deflating and Peter mouthed an “OH NO” and when he climbed out, he made jazzy hands like “hell yeah guys I made it, I didn’t die in here”. Peter is a good man.
Praise Abort
Tbh, I don’t have many memories for this one. For me, one of Lindemann’s weaker songs, although it still slaps, don’t get me wrong. Just not one of my favorites. Only thing I remember is being happy about seeing the ballerinas from the mv on the screen in the background.
Fish On
Here we go again. After Praise Abort, I asked @haifisch-ohne-traenen if we wanted to change places, she looked at me like “You sure?” and I was like “Yeah, absolutely” – “You know which song comes next?” – “Oh. Nevermind lol”. I like Fish On, it’s my ringtone, but like with Allesfresser, the anticipation of the chances of getting hit by a fish kinda ruined the song for me. I couldn’t enjoy it as much. Also I was wondering why they needed so much time between Praise Abort and Fish On just to throw on this stupid raincoat. We successfully avoided all fish. A lot of them were thrown back on the stage by the audience, two of them hitting Till on the leg and arm, and one of them bowling down Till’s water bottles that stood in front of the drums. Also, when all fish were thrown, someone handed Till a last plate of fish pieces that he threw into the audience, but it slipped out of his hands and the plate went flying across the stage, shattering on a speaker and almost hitting the security guard that stood in front of us. I swear, that guard looked like he wanted to murder Till right at the spot lol (Also, this security guard was cute; he greeted us before the concert like “hi I’ll be your guardian for the next three hours”, he took pics of some people from the first row for them, and before the concert started, he got himself some gummy bears which he stuffed into his pocket to snack during the concert).
Ach So Gern
I was so mad about this?? But at the same time I was not?? So when they started Ach So Gern, they played the tango version and I was like !!! YES and I got all hyped up because I low-key hoped that, maybe, for valentine’s day, they’d switch the pain version for the tango version, but they didn’t. I guess if they HAD played the tango version though, I probably would’ve been mad I didn’t get to hear the pain version lol. The pain version definitely is more suited for a concert, I guess. And I still love it. Praise Peter. Seriously, he’s a god of music, just accept it.
Steh Auf
Incredible energy in the room when everyone’s screaming “Steh auf” on the top of their lungs. One of the most powerful songs live. Also Jonathan came over to us again and [insert heart eyes emoji].
Gummi
Okay, everyone slander me, but I really didn’t like this song as the finishing song. I don’t exactly love this song and I always skip it whenever I listen to F&M, so this was the only song I didn’t know the full lyrics to. It just doesn’t have either a specifically “deep” feeling to it, neither does it have the power I would expect from the last song of this kind of concert, if you get what I mean. For me, it was just missing this last, final BANG. Either that, or have a nice, calming song at the end, that will make people cry and think “fuck man, I don’t want this to end, but it’s been such a good concert”. Gummi just fell really flat for me as the final song. The happier I was when they put on an instrumental of Wer Weiß Das Schon, even if I was really hoping to see that one live and in full length, but you know, life isn’t a bowl of cherries. Also I certainly would have cried. Alas, I did almost cry when they took their bows and thanked us. Till’s voice was so soft and he sounded so sincerely humble and thankful. I don’t know whether it did have any impact on him or not, but he was born in this city, after all.
Till The End Teaser
So instead of showing the video of Till getting sucked off under the Rammstein stage (which I’m still not convinced is real, but that’s another story, I don’t want to delve into it) they put on the first like two minutes of Till The End. This is gonna sound super snobby and ungrateful, but I just turned away. Like I said, if I wanna watch porn, I’ll open pornhub. The two guys behind us, however, were standing there, eyes glued to the screen and their mouths were literally half open, no lie, it cracked me up so hard like really? Shit, it’s gotta be hard to be a person with a dick instead of a brain sometimes.
Bottom line.
Everything was worth it. The hours of waiting, the mediocre weather, driving to the venue by bike, the “fear” of getting hit by a cake or a fish. The concert was amazing, outstanding, mindblowing. I don’t want to compare it to my first row Rammstein experience, because they’re so vastly different bands, and I want to keep them separated. But man. This was probably the best valentine’s day of all time, by far.

“What’d you tell your parents?”
Tom tugged the hood over his head before glancing at Harrison. It was nearing nine pm, they just had their last day at school, and even though it was already dark and the street lamps were slowly flickering on it was still considerably warm.
“I told them we were having a good bye party at Cassidy’s place and that their parents were home, you?”
Harrison stuffed his hands into his pockets. “Told them we were hanging out at Y/N’s place. Didn’t your brothers wanted to tag along when you mentioned a party?”
“Obviously,” Tom snorted. “But mum luckily didn’t let them, said ‘Tom deserves this, you two should stay at home’.”
Sometimes Harrison envied how open-minded Nikki was. Even though he didn’t like lying to his mum and step-father, he knew that they wouldn’t have let him leave the house if he had mentioned a party, let alone alcohol. He usually wasn’t one for breaking the rules, but Nikki was right. It was the end of the school year and all three of you had a busy year.
Tom had been filming his film with Saoirse Ronan, you were going to countless auditions and Harrison had just recently been signed by a model agency. On top of that, you had been juggling the school work which you sadly did not get a free pass on just because you were auditioning, because basically every student was doing the same.
“Lucky you,” Harrison muttered Tom grinned at him, fishing his phone out of pockets when they rounded into your street.
“You think she’s already ready?” he asked and Harrison shrugged, glancing at your house that was standing at the end of the street, windows illuminated by the lights from within.
“She said she was.”
THE BRITS
You: I’ll be done by nine, don’t be late!!11!!
Tommy: we’re standing outside ur house. Should we knock?
“Do you think she told her parents about the party?” Harrison wondered and Tom tapped his phone against his chin, thinking as he stared up the window from your bedroom.
“I’m not sure actually. She’s usually honest with her family, so maybe?” he said, glancing at his phone when it vibrated with a new message from you.
You: no, I’ll be right down.
The boys watched as the light from your bedroom turned off and a couple of minutes later, you exited the house.
“Yeah, I will! Love you!” you called before shutting the door behind you and traipsing over to where the boys where standing, a black oversize hoodie hanging over your bare legs.
“Aren’t you going to be cold?” Harrison asked with a creased forehead and you squinted your eyes at him.
“I just snuck out before my mum could see me and now you’re the one concerned with my choice of clothing?”
“Haz is just saying that we brought hoodies but inevitably one of us is going to have to lend them to you because you’re cold,” Tom piped up and you scoffed.
“I’ll be fine. We’ll be inside the whole time and as soon as I’ve downed some shots, I won’t be cold, I promise,” you told them and linked your arms with them. Harrison sighed but let himself be dragged from you.
“I take it you didn’t tell them about the party?”
You gave him a look. “Are you crazy? Of course I didn’t tell them, you know how weird they get when I even show one sign of growing up and drinking underage is definitely that.”
It was three hours later when Tom and Harrison realized you had planned on doing exactly that.
The boys had left you alone to play a few rounds of Mario kart in the basement of Cassidy’s parents’ house while you had stayed upstairs at the main party. As the music upstairs was turned up so high, even drowning out the music from the basement, the boys found their way back upstairs, only to be greeted by a bunch of people dancing drunkenly and you in the middle of it on top of the dining table., crooning to whatever Rita Ora song was playing
Tom was gaping at you while Harrison sighed, rubbing his hand over his face.
“For god’s sake.”
“R.I.P. to the girl you used to see. Her days are over, baby she's ooooooveeeeer!” you yelled, your voice cracking. You lifted the WKD Blue bottle that served as your microphone and when you caught sight of your two best friends standing in the doorway, you beamed at them, waving them over.
“Haz! Tommy, come on and sing with me!”
You took a few steps forward and the table tipped over, sending you flying. Lucky for you, Tom dove forward to catch you in his arms while Harrison nearly got a heart attack.
“Whoopsie,” you giggled and looked up at Tom with glassy eyes. “Thanks Tommy,” you said and pressed a kiss on his cheek, your lip gloss smearing on his cheek.
“Alright, it’s time for us to leave,” Harrison announced and grabbed your hoodie that you had taken off during the night.
You pouted while Tom gently put you back on your feet. “You okay to stand, love?” he asked, his eyes full of worry.
“I’m fine,” you insisted, fixing the straps of your dress. “I don’t want to go home.”
“Well, life’s hard darling,” Harrison pointed out as he and Tom pulled the hoodie over your head. You planted your heels in the ground as they dragged you out of the crowded house.
“Bye guys!” you shouted, waving with your hands excessively.
“Bye Y/N!” Cassidy called back, her hands around her mouth. “Text me tomorrow!”
As you stepped out of the house, the cold air did a pretty good job of sobering you up a bit and you leaned quite heavily on Tom, as your surroundings started spinning.
You groaned into Tom’s shoulder. “Can we sit down for a bit?” you asked and he sighed before stopping, letting you fall on your butt. You leaned your forehead on your arms and closed your eyes, while two pairs of hands were rubbing your back comfortingly.
“You wanna tell us what this is about love?” Harrison asked, his annoyed tone from earlier having dissipated at seeing the state you currently were in.
“What do you mean?” you mumbled, voice muffled. “I just had too much WKD. Doesn’t mean there’s a deep meaning behind every stupid thing I do.”
The boys shared a look over your head because it usually meant exactly that. Out of three people in this friendship it was usually you who took care of the boys and scolded them for being stupid and not thinking things through. Even though it was refreshing to not being taken care off once in a while, Tom and Harrison were still concerned for your well-being.
You sighed and looked back up, a frown on your face. “James broke up with me,” you mumbled out, plucking some grass from the dirt before throwing it at your feet.
Harrison pulled a face while Tom furrowed his brows. You had met James at an audition for a film and immediately clicked with him, which neither of the boys understood because they both couldn’t stand the guy. He was way too polished and the way he looked down on BRIT school just because he went to some fancy actors’ school in New York was maddening.
“I know you guys didn’t like him, but I really did,” you said and Tom leaned his head on your shoulder.
“What happened?” he asked and Harrison mirrored his actions.
“Do we need to kick his ass?” the blonde asked and you laughed, causing the boys’ heads on your shoulder to shake with the vibration of your body.
“No, you don’t have to. I’m fine,” you said and they gave you a look. “Okay, I’m fine now. I just wanted to forget for a few hours. Being dumped fucking sucks.”
You then grew quiet and the only thing that could be heard was the music playing at Cassidy’s house. Trickling your fingers down Tom’s arm he was leaning on your knee, you laced your fingers with his before doing the same with Harrison’s. You still felt a little empty inside, but sharing the news with your best friends seemed to have dulled the pain a bit.
“I’m really glad to have you guys, you know,” you said quietly. “Thanks for joining me at my table in the cafeteria two years ago, I never had friends like you two.”
“Of course love,” Harrison hummed, squeezing your hand. “Who else would keep us out of trouble?” Tom joked and nudged your arm with his nose.
“You were the ones keeping me out of trouble tonight,” you threw in and closed your eyes for a bit. The way home was long and it was late, the alcohol still coursing through your veins. You weren’t sure how to get home without your parents hearing you and finding out about your drunken state, but you knew that everything was going to be fine as long as the boys next to had your back.

Nothing's gonna stop us now.
Summary: After singing and dancing your hearts out during karaoke, you and Joe confess your feelings to one another.
Warnings: None! Just lotsa fluff
A/N: A little fun fic based off the song 'Nothing's gonna stop us now' by Starship with the karaoke king/dancing queen Joe. Lyrics are bold italics! Enjoy! 💖
Tumblr media
"One song!" Joe pleaded with huge eyes and his bottom lip pouting as he squeezed your hand.
"Not a chance in hell," you replied and took a swig of your beer. You were in a fairly quiet bar with Rami, Lucy, Gwilym and Ben...and it was karaoke night. You wondered if Joe had strategically planned it. You and Joe had been friends since you both could form a sentence. Of course, as you grew so did your feelings for him. You found yourself wanting to be more than just his friend but a part of you didn't want to jeopardise what the two of you had so you mainly kept it to yourself, confiding in Lucy when you felt like you were going to burst.
"Y/NNNNNN!" Joe groaned out your name and dramatically lay across the table. "I'll buy you brunch for a week."
"No."
"A month!"
"That's a good deal, Y/N," Ben spoke up.
"If you think it's such a good deal then why don't you sing with him?" You asked and Ben laughed into his glass.
"He's sang with me in cardboard form!" He argued back with a grin on his face.
You rolled your eyes "I'm going to the bathroom," you stood up.
"I'll come with!" Lucy chirped and linked arms with yours before you left the boys.
They all huddled in around Joe "When are you going to grow a pair and ask her out? Like out out?" Rami questioned and they all looked at Joe.
He deeply sighed. He wished he had asked you to date him sooner but the thought of breaking a friendship with you shattered his heart. There was no way he wanted to lose you from his life. Joe had drunkly confessed to Ben one night that you were the love of his life and that he didn't really have feelings for the cardboard cutout in his room at home. Of course, the next morning Joe had no recollection of this until Ben teased him about it and Joe lunged at him in the makeup trailer begging him and the two others not to say anything to you. A part of Joe was happy to have them knowing- it meant he could talk to them about how he felt and get everything off his chest. He told them how happy you made him, he showed them pictures of the two of you and rambled on about how good you looked or how much he wanted to ask you out at that moment in time, or he'd show them a meme that you had sent that reminded you of him or a memory you both shared along with a 'She knows me so well' while he smiled at the screen.
"I'm trying, I just..." Joe sighed again and ran a hand down his face "I gotta think carefully about this. I could screw everything up for good if I don't plan what to do."
"Mate," Ben chuckled and grabbed Joe's shoulder "I'm afraid love doesn't work like that. You've got to throw caution to the wind. Being spontaneous could work in your favour...go up and put both your names down to sing with a song of your choice. When her name's called out, everyone will cheer her to go on stage and she'll have to go then."
Joe looked over at the DJ. He knew the perfect song. "Okay, I'll be back shorty."
"Joe looks good tonight, hmm?" Lucy grinned like a Cheshire Cat while leaning on the sinks, her back facing the mirrors while you looked into one to pick out an eyelash that had fell out and was annoying you.
"Always does..." you coolly replied and finally managed to get the eyelash. "Everyone does." You added when she shot you a knowing look with the biggest smile on her face.
"Make a wish!" Lucy grinned and you playfully rolled your eyes, secretly making one before you blew it off your finger. "What did you wish for?" She asked as you left the bathroom.
"Now if I told you, Miss Boynton, it wouldn't come true!" You jokingly said and she giggled. You joined everyone at the table and sent Joe a small smile but he barely met your gaze. You suspiciously narrowed your eyes and took a drink of your beer as the DJ's voice rang through the bar.
"Now next up we have a duet from Joe Mazzello and Y/N Y/L/N!"
"You are kidding me!" You snapped and almost spat out your drink "Joe!"
He stood up with a sheepish smile "Hey! The winners get a round of drinks on the house and a bottle of their choice!" Lucy grinned and nudged you with her elbow.
You shook your head and Gwil and Ben, who were sitting either side of you jabbed your side and you flinched so hard you rose to your feet. "No!" You sternly warned Joe as he tried to drag you to the stage- it was like trying to get a cat in a bath. "No!" You were close to smiling but mad that he signed you up.
"Joe and Y/N!" The DJ enthusiastically announced your names and you glared at Joe who was just grinning and embracing the experience. The bar wasn't busy- around ten people or so including the cast- but there was still enough people in it to make you shy and nervous. They all clapped, your group of friends ecstatically cheering and whistling when you both got up on stage. You turned your back to the crowd but Joe smiled and turned you around to face them. You compromised by facing him and the screen.
Joe flashed you a smile "It'll be fun! You'll love it!"
"They'll be singing," the DJ checked his sheet "'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now' by Starship!" 'Of course we are...' you thought to yourself with a ghost of a smile on your face. "Give it up for Joe and Y/N!" Your little group erupted into cheers again and you placed a hand over your eyes, not wanting to look at anyone. Your cheeks felt like they were on fire they were so hot.
You both didn't need the lyrics on the screen, you knew the song he picked by heart. That's why he chose it...it was yours and Joe's song. The song that the two of you both bought when you first went to a music store together. The song that you both sang at the top of your lungs at all hours of the day and rocked out to in your pyjamas when having a sleepover. The song you sang when you were a bit beyond tipsy and the lyrics were slightly slurring towards the end. The song you both determined at the age of nine years old that when you both got married- that song was going to be the song that you both had your first dance to.
"I'm going to kill you..." you grumbled.
"I know," Joe smirked "But I'll die happy knowing that I got you up singing karaoke with me."
You sighed hearing the drums when he song began and stood still on the stage while Joe began swaying, clicking his fingers together and spinning around...it was only a matter of time before he was full-blown dancing. He was singing his part first so you just stood on the spot thinking that if you didn't move for long enough, you might become invisible. That didn't happen.
"Lookin' in your eyes I see a paradise
This world that I've found is too good to be true
Standin' here beside ya, want so much to give you
This love in my heart that I'm feelin' for you..." he reached his arm out and you shut your eyes with a small sigh and began singing.
"Let 'em say we're crazy, I don't care about that," You opened your eyes feeling a burst of confidence when your friends started cheering, you were still singing quietly into the microphone compared to Joe who practically screamed out the lyrics. "Put your hand in my hand, baby, don't ever look back," you gently slipped your hand into Joe's outstretched one and he began swaying you. "Let the world around us just fall apart," he let you go again and danced on the spot while biting down on his bottom lip while your lips curved into a smile. It took every nerve inside you not to laugh. "Baby, we can make it if we're heart-to-heart!"
You both belted out the chorus together. "And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other," You both pointed to one another at the same time, you were getting into the song and started bopping along with the beat.
"Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us now, whoa no."
Joe sang his part again and you smiled, finally immersing yourself in the experience and starting to dance along with him. "I'm so glad I found you, I'm not gonna lose you," he winked and your heart skipped a beat.
"Whatever it takes, I will stay here with you
Take you to the good times, see you through the bad times
Whatever it takes is what I'm gonna do!"
"Let 'em say we're crazy, what do they know?Put your arms around me, baby, don't ever let go!" You laughed out the lyrics when he dramatically threw himself at you, his arms wrapping around you and swaying you from side to side.
"Let the world around us just fall apart
Baby, we can make it if we're heart-to-heart!"
"And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever!" You both flexed your arms like bodybuilders and the boys jokingly wolf whistled while Lucy let out a loud 'Woo!'
"Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us, ooh..."
"All that I need is you," the song slowed down and Joe intertwined his fingers with yours, he was singing to you and only you- not for anyone else at the bar- just you.
"All that I ever need" you sang back, looking into his eyes, noticing a twinkle that you never quite noticed before. Both your smiles faltered a little as curiosity clouded over- he saw it in your eyes too.
"All that I want to do!" His smile returned and so did yours as you braced yourselves to belt out the next line together.
"Is hold you forever, forever and ever!" You then passionately and enthusiastically began playing the air guitar. You both giggled away, rocking out on stage while the cast clapped- they only encouraged you more and you both really got into playing the invisible guitar.
"And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now!" Joe wiggled his finger with a grin on his face before taking your hand and spinning you on the spot. "And if this world runs out of lovers we'll still have each other," you both gave each other a high-five but then laced your fingers together. "Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us
And we can build this dream together
Standing strong forever
Nothing's gonna stop us now
And if this world runs out of lovers
We'll still have each other
Nothing's gonna stop us, nothing's gonna stop us now!" You both screamed out the last line before the crowd burst into cheer when the song ended. But you didn't hear them- it was all static. You were still looking at Joe who was holding your hand and standing close to you. You began to run away with the moment and you both felt yourselves being pulled towards one another.
"Joe and Y/N everyone!" The DJ yelled in your ears right beside you both, giving you a fright. You didn't see the group sigh with irritation and disappointment at the DJ ruining the sweet, almost intimate, moment. You pulled back from Joe and sent everyone a small wave and smile before returning to your seat, Joe following close behind.
"That was amazing! You two were great!" Lucy cooed and squeezed your arm.
"It's our song," Joe spoke up and your eyes flickered up to him, he was already looking at you with a shy smile. "Course we'd be great at singing it!" He half-heartedly joked. You could hear the serious undertone in his voice, everyone else laughed.
"Next up we have...Ben! Singing 'I'm in love with my car'!" The DJ called out and Ben spat out his drink into his glass.
"Which one of you bloody did that?!"
•••
"We were robbed," Joe complained while walking you back to your hotel room with everyone. The two of you were now in the hallway with Ben who was the only one who hadn't reached his room- excluding the pair of you.
Ben smugly smirked "Hey, don't hate me because my singing is impeccable!" He was holding a bottle of drink in his hand like an award. He had won the karaoke contest.
"That's karma for getting me up on that stage, Joe!" You nudged him with your elbow and he pretended to be mad despite having the huge smile on his face.
"Well, this is my room- see you both tomorrow!" Ben opened his room door and bid you both goodnight.
"Night, Ben!" Joe waved.
"Sweet dreams!" You grinned "And well done again, karaoke king!" You chuckled and so did Ben while wiggling the bottle.
Joe scoffed "Prepare to be overthrown soon, Benjamin! I am the karaoke king!" He then slowly walked you along to your room in comfortable silence.
When you reached your door, you hesitated opening it. "Uh...want to come in for a little bit?" You asked, not wanting to get rid of Joe so soon. "We could have a chat and raid the mini bar?" He nodded with a small grin on his face and followed you into your room. You crouched down to the level of the fridge and pulled out a can of coke for the two of you. You joined him where he was standing at the window looking out over the city, trapped somewhere between the ground and the clouds. You handed him the can and stood next to him staring out the window.
Joe looked down at you "You're miles away, Y/N..." he observed aloud. "Where are you at?"
"I'm right here beside you," you flashed him a small smile and took a small sip of your juice before putting down the can- Joe did the same. You let out an amused huff of air seeing him mirror your actions. He was so special to you. He meant the world and so much more to you. 'I'm so in love with you and I'm petrified.' Was what you wanted to say- or rather scream- while looking at his face being illuminated by the various colours of night lights outside the safety and intimate space of your hotel room.
The room was quiet. Until Joe opened his mouth. "Why are you petrified?" You swore you died the second after he said that. Did he just say that? Did you just say that?! You went to move back but Joe softly grabbed your wrist. He smiled with glossy eyes "You don't have to be..." he whispered, letting a tear fall while his smile grew wider. You brushed it away with your thumb.
"I'm petrified that you won't feel the same," you managed to speak, your voice was trembling. "That I'll ruin what we have- that we can't be friends anymore." You croaked and swallowed hard.
Joe laughed and softly shook his head "Y/N," he took your hands, his eyes boring into yours. "Over the years...I think we've stared at each other, laughed with each other and sang with each other a little too much just to be friends." You softly chucked and nodded, pretty much in defeat- he had a point. "I love you, Y/N, and I have done for almost all my life." You both leaned forward and softly pressed your lips together. You both pulled back grinning like idiots "Now we're finally doing something about this," Joe motioned between him and yourself and then smirked when he thought of a perfect thing to say. "Nothing's gonna stop us now."
You playfully rolled your eyes and pushed his chest a little "You're lucky I love you, Mazzello..."
"That bad?" He grimaced slightly but still kept smiling.
You grinned "It's alright because I know if this world runs out of lovers, we'll still have each other," you winked and Joe leaned in again.
Before he kissed you, he stopped and let his lips hover over yours. "That was just as cheesy, Y/N." His lips were on yours again, years of repressed feelings finally flowing freely.
You made a mental note to tell Lucy that your wish came true.

Okay, so here is the promised concert experience report lol
I'm not gonna talk about organisation and pre-concert stuff because it was a whole mess and I wish to forget that...
So, when we were inside, we had a really good spot close to the middle of the stage and second row. But some people were fainting before it even began and had to be pulled out by security. Fortunately they all recovered before it started and could take their spots again. But that also caused the whole crowd to shift and I was pushed back a few rows, but still had a really good view. It started with a commercial film about JYP entertainment and everyone went absolutely crazy for every single group they showed it was awesome!
And then Stray Kids took the stage. They opened with Hellevator and everyone was singing along and doing the fanchants and I had goosebumps! Then they played Grrr and Awaken and District 9. After that I left my spot to go to the back because people were pushing and I was getting mad. But when I had some space around me and could breathe again, I could enjoy it again. And Stays were so nice, they all asked if I was okay or needed water or anything.
They had their first ment and I was so surprised because Changbin was only talking in English and he sounded really good and confident and just wow! The way he expressed himself and the choice of his words was so beautiful, I'm still in awe! And he talked in English for almost the whole concert!
Then they performed Mirror and WHO? and they had a whole choreography for it where two members would be dancing on opposite sides of a frame and it looked like they were mirroring each other and it was just so beautiful!
When they played Voices I almost cried but I could hold it in. And I sang so loudly, that I felt my throat getting hoarse.
They had another ment and Changbin got us hyped for My Pace. He also got Jisung doing the Nanana and we got blessed with his body rolls and right after Chan did a cute version of it. We were all still singing the Nanana and they blended the beginning of the song right into our singing and it was so cool!
When they played My Side we did a rainbow ocean with our phone flashlights. Some stays had handed out some coloured paper slips to cover the flashlights before the concert and it was really pretty! They even mentioned it in their insta post about the Berlin concert. During the next ment they all showed their aegyo and Jeongin did his silly Dididi-dance (idk if you know what I'm talking about lmao I'm gonna send you the video for it later) and Hyunjin did a sexy dance so Chan and Jisung covered Jeongin's eyes to protect his pure soul lmao
They said the concert would be over after their next song and everyone was getting really sad and I had tears in my eyes again. Their "last song" was I am YOU and I wanted to sing along and do fanchants but my voice was gone by then...
When they had left the stage, they played a video on the big screen that showed their journey from their predebut days and survival show through the eras. They were practicing and teasing each other and making jokes and they just had to play Mixtape#2 for this. So why I was able to hold my tears in before, I couldn't then. I legit cried my eyes out...
But they came back out right after and performed Victory song and let me tell you I was not prepared for this whiplash they gave me. I wasn't even over my emotional crying and they just had to punch me in the face... Then they performed Miroh and had their ending ment.
They all had learned one German phrase they said and everyone went absolute nuts! Their pronunciation was so good and they sounded so sweet I melted! Changbin mentioned that his aunt and uncle were there and his voice almost cracked and he was getting so emotional because he was so happy that he could perform for them with all of us cheering them on so loudly.
After that they performed a short medley of Get Cool and Awkward Silence and then as their real last song they performed YAYAYA and had confetti cannons and fireworks and all! It was so full of energy and everyone was jumping and dancing it was amazing! When it was over we had to wait for the hi-touch.
We tried to go as one of the last ones but staff was starting to rush the people to line up and get ready because it was already late, so we were somewhere in the middle I guess.
The first I saw was Woojin. So I didn't mention it before but during the whole concert my eyes were on him. His performances drew me in and I really couldn't look away. He was magnetic to my eyes and I had fallen in love with him all over again. And when I saw him face to face in all his glowing beauty, I knew I was lost. He is my new bias. I'm so sorry to let Jisung go, but Woojin has this magic that captured me and I couldn't escape.
The next one was Changbin. He looks so different in real life and I don't even know why or how. It's just his whole aura is so different from what I expected. And he's not tiny! I didn't even notice a height difference between us.
Hyunjin was really intimidating for me. I almost couldn't look him in the eyes. It's not that he looked unfriendly or anything, he was an absolute sweetheart but he has such a strong presence it feels like he's towering over you...
Seungmin was surprised by what I told him. He wanted to say thank you when I said "I love you..." but when I continued with "...as much as you love Day6" he was so surprised and his eyes got so big and he just started laughing.
Chan was so humble and quiet it surprised me a bit. Not the humbleness, but the quietness. It felt like he would be so shy and introverted if it were not for his passion for music and performing. He's so different on and off stage.
Felix is probably the clearest in my memory. He was smiling so brightly and his freckles were glowing. Also his hands are freaking tiny! It felt like a small child's hand and I wanted to keep holding it forever!
Jeongin is taller than I expected. He looks so mature and he will definitely grow into a very, very handsome man. Also his eye smile game is strong. He's a literal sunshine and I would very much love to adopt him (but let's be honest, who wouldn't?)
I'm still sad about how I had to rush by Jisung and Minho. I only got a glimpse of them and their faces are so blurry in my memory. It sounds dumb because I have hundreds of pictures to look at them, but it's something completely different when you're in front of them.
Anyways, to conclude this novel now, it was beyond amazing! I laughed and cried and sang my heartb out and jumped and danced and everyone was so full of energy. Stray Kids are amazing performers, amazing singers and rappers, the sweetest boys around, and just so, so great in all they do. I'm really glad I went to see them again and got the opportunity to meet them and tell them how much they mean to me.
I'm gonna go through my camera roll tomorrow and find some good pictures that are not too blurry and then I'm gonna send them to you. But I'm too tired to do that now. This was one hell of a weekend but I'd do it all over again!
PS: You asked about South Club. They are the band of Nam Taehyun. He was a member of Winner but left in 2016. I saw them live last year in Cologne and they were amazing! They also shot their MV for Dirty House in Berlin.
I’m crying reading this I love them so much and I can get your experience through reading this (your writing is stunning) and jsut OMG I’m tearing up I love these boys. And dw I can love Jisung enough for the both of us, woojin deserves some love hahah. I’m so happy you can share this with me and I hope I can have this experience one day :) also I hope in years and years to come that they still end every concert with yayaya because what a BOP. Like what a hype song OMG I can imagine it still keeps you hype for days to come. I have one day of travel today then hopefully I’ll be in hotels with working WiFi haha so I’ll be on more x send me anything you want to share I will be so grateful!! Love you x

Supernatural LSB: Jared Padalecki x Platonic reader ft. Jensen and Misha pt.2
And here we go with pt. 2 and boy did I enjoy writing Round 2 because I’ve got some special surprises for ya’ll in store and trust me when I say.....I wish this would actually happen should someone of the cast compete on the show against J2, this could get u a win *wink wink hint hint*. Okay now in this there is just a fight scene that Jared does with a FAKE gun that can make the actual popping sounds but you’ll see what I’m talking about but I thought I might put a warning up for gun use (AGAIN FAKE BE-BE PISTOL GUN BUT THAT’S IT!!!) Enjoy my lovelies :)
____________________________________________________________
Soon it was time for Round 2.
“Welcome back to Lip Sync Battle, the War between Winchesters have gone through the roof but now it’s time for Round 2. Let’s see what Jared Padalecki did to prepare for his second piece”.  The crowd applauded and the camera came up on me and Jared and he gave a salute and soon the cameras began to show what he did to prepare for his second act.
He was in the costume department speaking to his costume designer and he said to her.
“We actually did this song on the show and I’ve seen this song on the show thanks to (n/n) but I want to try and go a different route”.
“Okay so we do have these and I can have them in a different color or is this good?”
“No, no that’s perfect now what about the hat?”
“Right here for you Jared”.
“Excellent”.  Soon Jared’s voice came over and it showed him back in his dressing room. “This might give me the win cause this is one of (y/n)’s favorite songs and when we did this on an episode, so the expression on her face in the episode is her true reaction. (Y/n) baby girl you’re good but,” he placed the cowboy hat on his head and said in with his Texan accent coming out, “There’s a new sheriff in town, and I’m takin that there belt back home”.
(Play up till 1:34 then skip to the next instrumental tune at 2:37 and basically kinda go from there)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py6U3XMy-AM
The stage was dark and I was getting a little scared of what song he chose for his next choice but soon the familiar guitar solo came up on the speakers and I collapsed to my chair holding my hands to my mouth.
The spotlight came on Jared in a full black cowboy attire with a six string guitar in his hand sitting in front of a fake fireplace, and he was actually strumming it as I could actually hear it playing.  There was also a fake tree with a Wanted poster with Jared’s picture on it and his reward was for $1000.
“Yes Jared!” I heard Jensen cry out. Like a true Texas cowboy getting ready for a showdown, he slowly raised his head up then raises his head, allowing the hat to only show his eyes first as he began to sync out the words.
He put the guitar down and he walked up towards his Wanted poster and ripped it off the tree before crumbling it up and tossing it towards the audience.  He then turned towards me and pointed right at me as he synced out “I’m Wanted, Dead or alive”.  He then walked across the stage and soon it jumped right to the part where the song really begins to pick up.
Soon the lights came on and dancers dressed as sheriffs came right at Jared and for the first time that I or anyone else had ever seen on LSB instead of dancing, the stage turned into an all-out stage combat.
Jared fake-punched one guy then as another one came with a fake-punch towards Jared, he placed his hand on his chin like he had actually gotten punched before acting like he was reconnecting his jaw and then taking the man by the arm and literally flipping him over his shoulder.
I was in shock as was LL, Chrissy and Misha while Jensen was having a ball with this. It was then Jared took out his ‘gun’ and began firing one shot which made actually popping sounds and one by one each sheriff dropped to the ground.  He blew on the gun getting rid of the ‘smoke’ before syncing out as he walked towards his “steel horse” and mounted it as he kept syncing.
It soon came to the part where Jensen, Jared and I once got to actually sing this song and I couldn’t help myself but actually sing along and I even turned to see Jensen doing the same thing and then once the verse was done, Jared synced out the last few words until the song finished and the lights exploded off.
The crowd went nuts as Jared breathed heavily and the stage combaters all got up and Jared got off the horse statue and LL came up on stage and proclaimed.
“Wow!” He now stood beside Jared and said, “Chrissy, Chrissy tell me what did you think of Jared’s second performance?”
“I think we just witnessed our first Lip Sync stage combat?” The crowd applauded and Jared tipped his hat to the crowd.
“Okay let’s go to the Supernatural guest judges, Jensen, Misha your thoughts?”
“You truly embraced our Texan culture there partner, and like Dean said Bon Jovi rocks on occasion and Jared—that occasion was now!” The crowd cheered and screamed as Jared saluted to his brother.
“I have to agree with what Jensen said, I mean that was probably the best way and probably the only way to do that song and only you could’ve done that Jared, hats off to you partner” Misha tipped his fake hat to Jared and he returned the gesture.
“Alright so (y/n) what did you think did Jared do you proud?” I was speechless at this point.  Everyone laughed included Jared and I finally brought the mic up to my lips and I said.
“I want to say some kind of come-back but I can’t. Not with this song. Like seriously this is my all-time favorite Bon Jovi song and J2 know that, I first heard that song in Scooby Doo 2 and was obsessed with that song and then when we got to actually sing it in an episode that was—Jared well done, amazing job”. I then got off the VIP section and embraced him and he did the same for me.
Everyone awed at us as Jared picked me up and spun me around a few times before removing his black cowboy hat and placing it on top of my head.
“Well Jared Padalecki took us straight to the Wild West as the World’s Most Wanted cowboy, when we come back will (y/n) prove herself worthy of the belt? Followed by the decision of which Winchester wins the LSB belt, we’ll be right back”. “Wanted” came back on over the speakers as the camera came onto both Jared and I and we were both Lip syncing to the song.
After the commercial break, LL stated.
“We’re back with the final performance of the night. It’s been a Supernatural rollercoaster but now it’s time for the youngest Winchester to see what she brought with us to the table to beat her older brother”. The camera came on me and I waved and got my hands into fighting position before it went straight to my other performance.
I was in my dressing room getting ready in the same style of clothes that I have been wearing for almost 12 years of my life.
I was now in the dance studio practicing the dancing and the choreographer was proclaiming at how well I was doing and when it was over, my entire crew applauded and I high-fived every single one of them.
It now showed me practicing on stage and I was eating a doughnut as I sat beside LL Cool J and I told him.
“Jared’s definitely gonna tap out as soon as he sees my next performance”.
“Oh is he?”
“Yep, in fact I bet he’ll probably leave the room” he then bursted out laughing as I smirked and drank up my water.  As the show would show my dancing my voice came over before filming me in my dressing room, “I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve, it ain’t over till I say it’s over. Jared you might as well give up honey, because this next performance will rock your world”.
(Now I just want u guys to play Jessie J’s part, then skip straight to Ariana’s part, play the first half of the chorus after Ariana’s part, then skip again to Nicki’s part and then just kinda let it play out up until the verse before the last part of the song hopefully you guys got this if not then I’ll try to put up the numbers so that ya’ll can follow along)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxTdKnW-03Y
The lights soon went on and my song “Bang Bang” by Jessie J ft. Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj came over the speaker.  But the stage was now decked up almost exactly like the Bunker set we have back at the Vancouver set and my outfit was exactly like Natasha’s.
For the past few seasons since about 8-9, Natasha went for a red jacket kinda similar to Emma Swan’s on Once Upon a time, jeans, black combat boots, and a simple black short sleeved t-shirt.  She also wore a silver necklace with a single ruby red gem at the center and of course the shirt allowed my anti-possession tattoo to show that stood a bit over my chest.
As I synced to the song, I went a bit crazy and shook my booty sexually trying to mock Jared then I even pulled out a replica prop of Lucille that we teased during the 200th episode.  I walked up towards a desk and I slammed the bat down twice and soon popping out dressed in a female version of Sam was a special guest star to help with the song for Ariana’s part.
Genevieve Padalecki.
Gen came around and the two of us stared Jared down and coyly wagged our finger at him in a ‘come hither’ motion.  And I swear I have never seen Jared’s face look more shocked than seeing his wife help me with my LSB.
We continued to act like two proud sexy ladies letting the music take us, facing each other and placing a finger to our lips as we synced the shhh then we faced back towards Jared as we both gestured the bad girl line right towards Gen since she did play a demon.
Soon the chorus came and Gen and I danced together as soon coming onto the stage once again was a replica of Baby that Jensen and Misha came in on and as half the chorus was played and Nicki’s part came on, another special guest came on stage all dressed as Female Dean.
Danneel Ackles.
The crowd went insane at seeing both J2 wives up on stage with me dressed head to toe just like their husbands on the show just minus the hair since I wanted this to be a Winchester-Sister parody.  Dani, Gen and I were bouncing around, doing the fist-bump as we jumped backwards just going crazy with Nicki’s rap.
When the rap slowed, like true super models I lead followed by Gen then finally Dani down the catwalk as the three of us strutted the catwalk with our hands at our waists just strutting slowly yet powerful.  When we got down the catwalk we went crazy once again by pop-in-locking our shoulders from side to side before spinning our bodies like a clock at the spelling of Bang.
When Jessie’s solo came on, Dani and Gen went down to the ground as I took center stage and we then raced back and soon my backup dancers who were all dressed up as either demons, angels, werewolves, vampires, or any other monster that was on the show.
So we did what we Winchesters did best, hunted them down and killed or exorcised them. Once they were take care of, we returned to Baby.
Dani and Gen up on the hood while I literally got right on top of the car and then stood up proudly as the three of us synced the song, I then slide down from the roof right between Gen and Dani on the Hood and we all turned in sync and flipped off Jared and that’s when my song ended.
The room went crazy as I slide off the rest of the Impala and Gen and Dani wrapped their arms around me and we all group hugged.
“Ladies and Gents give a round of applause to DANNEEL ACKLES AND GENEVIEVE PADALECKI!!!!” I cried into the mic.  The girls bowed as I clapped with the audience and LL came up to us and was beyond words.
“The Wayward sisters have made a comeback!” The crowd cheered as I now stood between Gen and Dani and we all turned towards Jared who was now down on the ground completely dead. We were now laughing hysterically as LL said, “Jared? Jared are you alive?”
“This is why you wouldn’t be a part of my Livin La Vida Loca act!?” proclaimed Jared. Gen smiled widely and she said.
“(Y/n) asked me first, and what can I say? I can’t say no to this face” She cupped my chin and I did my puppy dog eyes and she kissed my cheek and wrapped her arms around me.
When she came on the show at season 4 when I was 12, even though my character absolutely hated her guts to no end, I ended up personally falling in love with Gen. I thought she and Jared would make a cute couple someday if they ever got married, and even when I shipped it, Jared even tried to get me to be his wing woman to try and win over Gen. Of course she rejected him till finally she agreed to go out on a date with him, then on that beautiful February day of 2010, I was invited to be one of Gen’s bridesmaids for their wedding.
Around that same time, Jensen also married Dani and the three of us girls became like sisters and soon the rest was history.  I became an aunt to each of their kids and they all called me Auntie (y/n) and pretty soon little Odette will be on her way to calling me that once she gets a little older.
“Jared I am so glad to not be in your spot right now” mentioned Jensen.
“You dodged a bullet baby, I’ll get you when we get home” proclaimed Dani.  The crowd all oohed at Dani’s burn and I fist-bumped her on a job well done.
“Alright ladies please step on up to the VIP or join your husband Mrs. Ackles whichever one you prefer”. Said LL.  I then went up to the VIP with Jared as Gen followed behind me while Dani went up to where Jensen was and we went to a final commercial break.
I sat beside Jared and he hugged me on a job well done while he brought Gen on his lap and wrapped his arms around her and placed his head on top of her rocking her side to side.
Soon Jared and I were asked to join LL as the belt was now about to be given out and the audience would decide who was the Supernatural LSB Champion.  We were finally back and LL said.
“Welcome back to Lip Sync Battle. The night has been fierce and each of these Winchesters have fought their hardest but now it’s time for the audience to decide, Chrissy are you ready?”
“I am overly ready” she said as she held the one and only LSB belt.  She stood beside Jared first as LL said.
“Is the Lip Sync Battle Supernatural champion Jared Padalecki?” The crowd cheered and he tried to get them to scream louder.  I stood there in place feeling above all nervous of how the outcome would be, I mean don’t get me wrong I had a hell of a time, I’ve always wanted to be on this show and I love Jared to pieces but I really wanted to win this.
“Or is the Lip Sync Battle Supernatural champion (y/n) (l/n)?” For me the audience screamed even louder than Jared’s and I barely did anything.  I raised my arms up in exult as the crowd even began cheering my name.  “And the winner is….. (Y/n) (L/n)!!!” I screamed loudly and covered my mouth overcome with joy as Chrissy strapped the belt around me.
I felt tears coming down my face as I was overwhelmed with emotion right now.
“Talk to us, talk to us (y/n) how’s it feel to be the Champ?” I sniffled and tried to stop myself from crying as the audience awed at me.
“It feels….Oh my god it feel amazing but I thought I wouldn’t win this!” The audience awed again. “But first I would like to thank Jared for being quite the competitor, I had a lot of fun and thank you guys so much this means a lot to me”. I wiped my tears away as I felt Chrissy rub my shoulders and even hug me.
“Jared, even though you lost did you have a good time? How has this experience been for you?”
“It was wonderful I see now why this is (y/n)’s favorite show. I had a hell of a blast and if there was anyone I could lose to, I’m glad it was (y/n) and not Jensen”. Jensen cried out offensively as Jared came up and embraced me and even picked me up and rocked me back and forth.
Soon Jensen, Misha, Gen and Dani came down and joined us as LL took us out and my backup dancers all came out.
“(Y/n) (l/n) proved herself to be the Supernatural Champion, a big thanks to the cast of Supernatural and remember, whatever you do in life….Knock em out the box cell. Knock em out L!” “Bang, Bang” came up on the speakers again and we all were dancing along to the song until we were told that we were off air.
Later that night, Jared, Jensen, Misha, their wives and I were celebrating my victory and Jared soon called out.
“Hears to (y/n) the LSB champion”.
“To (y/n)!” They all proclaimed as their raised their glasses in the air for me and we spent the rest of the night celebrating before the guys and I were to head back to continue filming the rest of Supernatural since our Hiatus break was almost over by this time.

On Point With: Blake McIver
Tumblr media
Beginning his career as a child star with memorable roles in “Full House” and “The Little Rascals” reboot, this actor / writer / producer / director / singer / songwriter / ex-gogo boy has definitely sashayed his way into our hearts and minds. New Yorkers can enjoy a pair of performances from him this week at the Laurie Beechman Theatre: first covering a legend’s songbook in a solo show, then as a supporting player of a drag queen’s showcase that he’s directed. It’s the charming and talented Blake McIver Ewing!
Thotyssey: Hi Blake, thanks for talking to us! So, are you mad busy now with rehearsals and finishing touches on your two shows (Blake Sings Barbra and I Dream of Jackie), or are you comfortable with what you have down now for both of them?
Blake McIver: Well, I am admittedly a rehearsal addict, but I had to come back to LA for another show. So, we'll do a couple quick clean-ups before next weekend!
You've certainly been performing for nearly all of your life... have producing, writing and directing always been part of the equation as well? I've actually been directing for over a decade! I started a theatre company in Southern California at 19, and cut my teeth as a producing major during my time at UCLA. Writing came shortly thereafter, first with songwriting, and then it expanded from there! So are you pretty much open to a variety of projects, or do you have a pretty specific wheelhouse? I like wearing many different hats. It keeps my passion alive, and keeps me learning and constantly refining my skill set.
Tumblr media
Are you still basically based out of California? I am still based out of LA. As much as I love my time in NYC, the West Coast is always home. I was born and raised in the heart of LA, which is very rare. I consider myself a unicorn, haha!
Unicorn indeed! You've had a long and amazing career as an actor, beginning with some choice gigs as a child star... including Derek from Full House, Michelle's adorable friend who slayed “Yankee Doodle Dandy” in his debut episode! When you're that young and that famous/successful, can you even fully understand what is going on... or is it just normal because that's all you know?
For me, it was just going into the family business at a young age. Both my parents have lifelong careers in entertainment, which meant that many of their friends were in the business as well. I went to regular school, with non-working kids in between gigs, so I was aware that my life wasn't exactly typical. But I wouldn't have traded it for the world.
Nor would your fans! I understand Derek was meant to be a one-time-only appearance, but that evolved into a beloved recurring role for several seasons.
You're right! Derek was supposed to be a one episode thing, that turned out to be three seasons of the show until it ended. It was a joy to be on that set every single time. It really was a cohesive family by the time I entered the cast, and they all made me feel right at home.
youtube
One fun part of Fuller House is seeing many of these supporting characters and their actors from the original show return as adults for cute cameos. It would be difficult without the Olsen Twins on board for this version, but would Derek stop by Fuller House if it were up to you?
YES! If it were up to me, Derek would definitely be the flamboyant show choir director at the School of the "new generation" kids! Have you noticed the show is so gay now? DJ and Stephanie are hitting on gay guys, and Kimmy's ex-husband is basically the New Trade. It's wonderful! Haha! That's awesome to hear. I have to be totally honest and tell you I haven't actually watched any of the reboot past the first episode! I know, sacrilegious! There's just only so many hours in the day, and I have so many Real Housewives franchises to keep up with! But I'm so glad people are loving it, and I hope it goes on and on.
Tumblr media
Speaking of Housewives, you made appearances on a Bravo show a few years ago, "The People's Couch!" What was that experience like?
Well I have to say, when they pitched the show to us I thought, "Okay, we've officially reached the end of entertainment! You're making a show about people watching other shows on TV." Of course I hadn't yet seen the brilliant original British version, Gogglebox. And then when I saw the rough cut of the pilot, I was blown away with how fresh and funny it was.
We really had the opportunity to engage in social commentary in a way I couldn't have predicted. Of course there was plenty of silliness along the way, but we did get to talk about some real issues on Bravo primetime, which I'm proud of.
Tumblr media
Your album The Time Manipulator was such a diverse collection of songs and styles.
Indeed! The Time Manipulator was intentionally stylistically diverse. It wasn't until I began writing music that I realized the diversity of my musical influences. Each track on that album represents a story from a moment in my life; some happy, painful, frustrating, etc. The narrative is quite dramatic, and I felt the genres really needed to serve the narrative.
Of course, that's the last thing any record label wants to hear... which is why it was important for me to self produce / release the first one so that my un-diluted musical story is there.
That's the way to do it! Who would you consider some musical influences?
I'm inspired by everyone from The Beatles and Queen to Diana Ross, Carole King, Elton John, Antonio Carlos Jobim, to Gaga and Beyonce. I'm a real music nerd so if the melody and lyric meet a pure emotional intention, I'M IN! Do you have any plans for another recording? I do! I'm in the middle of a (much more musically cohesive) new EP that is inspired by my love of Motown, Blues, and Soul.
youtube
Right before recording The Time Manipulator, the internet-browsing public was alerted (thanks to Perez Hilton, I think) to the fact that you--a former child star!--were gogo dancing to fund its production, and the Thirst Pics were abound. You've already talked a lot about that experience with honest candor and charm, but I was wondering.. does being a stage and screen performer prepare you for gogo dancing at all, or is it a completely different animal?
The performative aspect of it definitely felt familiar to me. Performing for an audience has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. But does anything truly prepare you for shaking your moneymaker in a jock on a box? Not sure, lol!
It was like playing a role to a degree. I had a character / persona in my head. He had a name and a personality that was admittedly bolder than my own. So I guess it kind of was like a fun acting gig. Def, and it paid! Is that also how you got to know people in nightlife, like promoters and drag queens, or did you already kinda know that crowd from just being a gay entertainer in LA? It all sort of happened simultaneously, in a beautiful way. Just as I was becoming more comfortable and free in my queer identity and expression, I was meeting wonderful queer artists and brilliant performers who challenged me artistically and mentally, which was really wonderful.
Tumblr media
What's been your history as a stage performer in NYC?
Well, my NYC stage debut was as an honorary member of "The Broadway Kids" in the early 90s. I believe a Gavroche got sick before one of their big shows, and my friend Kathryn Zaremba (who was Lisa on Full House) was Annie Warbucks on Broadway. She said to the director, “my friend can learn this show in four days.” Before I knew it, I was singing and dancing alongside all these young Broadway vets who were very gracious to let the TV / Film brat come play with them! What's a dream role for you, as far as Broadway is concerned? Deena Jones in Dreamgirls. Which I realize is extremely problematic on every level, and will never and should NEVER, EVER happen.
I wish that Disney could get it together and put Hunchback on Broadway. I would do just about anything to bring Quasi to the Broadway stage. Oh God that would be incredible!
Tumblr media
So I saw I Dream of Jackie during its initial run at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, starring NYC queen Jackie Cox, which you directed and also co-starred in. I absolutely loved it, it was cute and very funny, and even had sincere moments! How did you get involved with that show, which I’m happy to see returns to the Beechman on Sunday, August 20th?
I'm so glad you enjoyed IDOJ! It was such a joy bringing it to life. Jackie (aka Darius) has been my best friend since we met on day one of college at UCLA. We actually came up with the character of Jackie together, which is why I am referred to as her "Drag Father," hahaha!
It worked out that my schedule opened up enough for me to be in NYC for the month of July, and I jumped at the chance to direct and choreograph the show. Can't wait to do it again next Sunday!
Amazing! Have you / would you ever try drag yourself, by the way?
I have very strong, angular features. Me in drag just looks like Idina MANzel.
Tumblr media
Ha! Well, the night before IDOJ returns, the Beechman will see you solo on the stage for the return of your own hit cabaret revue, Blake Sings Barbra: The Concert! What role does Barbra Streisand's music play in your life, and what made you want to bring this show to the stage?
I've been captivated by Barbra since I first saw Funny Girl at 7 years old. But it wasn't until her 1994 comeback concert that I became completely obsessed. It was a crazy year for me: I was in my second season of Full House, I filmed The Little Rascals, and my parents’ house was destroyed in the Northridge earthquake. In the show, I take you through all these things via The Concert, which basically taught me everything I know about being a performer.
I've wanted to do this tribute show for many years, and finally sat down one day last year, during the tumult of election season, and wrote it all down.
Now that you mentioned The Little Rascals--where you play spoiled villain Waldo-- and the election, I have to quickly ask about how surreal it is that Donald Trump plays your Dad on the other end of a phone conversation in a brief cameo. That must be so surreal to process, nowadays.
It really is! And I tell the extended version of the story in my show. It becomes relevant at a certain point in the concert!  Intriguing! What's your favorite song to do in the show? I love the setlist from the concert so much, so it really changes with every audience. Last month I had some true 94 concert superfans in the audience, so during "The Way We Were" they were quoting her ad libs at me, then I quoted some back at them during the interlude, and we all screamed and it was a fabulous moment. I explained it all to the rest of the crowd after the song, haha!
Tumblr media
Sounds like a remarkable experience, congratulations! Anything else coming up for you? Yes, in September I am directing and choreographing a tour for the wonderful cabaret and burlesque artist Ariana Savalas (of Postmodern Jukebox fame). I built the first version of her show last summer, and now it's expanding into a full Caburlesque extravaganza, which is so fun! And then I'll be back at the Beechman in October with two more shows! Excellent! So, lastly: what do you think The Little Rascals’ Waldo would be doing today, as an adult?
I feel like he'd be on a yacht in the South of France, spending his father's money as rapidly as humanly possible!
Sounds about right. Thanks, Blake!

Gig Review: Laneway - Albert Park [28/01/2019]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MISS JUNE After waking up to a torrential downpour of rain in the morning, it’s an absolute relief to make our way through the Laneway gates while the sun blisters on ahead. Feeling a little disorientated, we’re immediately intrigued by the crowd gathering at the end of Princes Street to watch Miss June. The first time I ever caught these guys was in 2015, they were playing a tiny stage at the Darkroom in Christchurch, and I was instantly captivated by their onstage energy. Frontwoman Annabel Liddell’s energy is second to none - and it’s incredible watching a band that’s just as into it as she is. That whole show is magnified, watching them tear up the massive stage they’re playing on now. I even heard someone remark that it was really cool that June had a band playing with her.
Mandie Hailwood
IMUGI 이무기
Starting the day off right, we head towards the Dr. Martens stage where Imugi  이무기 ‘s dreamy synth pop echoes from the speakers. Dazy crowd goers relax on the grass while eager fans groove right up by the stage. Imugi 이무기’s music transition us all into a blissful dream state. I begin to be entranced by the music production from Carl and the smooth vocals from Yery. The 2 even backed up by some beautiful dancers who add incredible dimension to one of the new Imugi 이무기 tracks ‘Greensmoke’.  The dancers flow with the music so well making me wish I had a hidden dancing talent. Along with being musically gifted, the duo have a way with words. Yery gets vulnerable and supportive as she mentions “This one’s for you, it’s been a really hard life but... it’s okay because you’re here now!” she goes on to say, “love yourself, fuck everybody else! Be yourself because that is revolutionary in itself” I really appreciate the honesty and love during moments like this. You could feel the positive vibe throughout the crowd. It was magnetic! Church & AP hit up the stage shortly after, impressing us all with their energetic stage presence bouncing off the speakers. At this stage, the relaxed fans had made their way down from the grass to be front and center stage. It was impressive to see a huge crowd mid day during a heat wave. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Imugi  이무기! If you're into synth pop, spoken word or honest music, definitely check out Imugi’s links below!

DAFFODILS
We make our way down Alfred Street to the Thunderdome stage next, eager to find a spot up close for Daffodils, a local Auckland indie pop band that have recently taken the scene by storm. The crowd is already full of glitter covered faces, and they all cheer as Daffodils take to the stage. Starting off with their latest single 'A Leo Underwater' - the crowd is singing and dancing along immediately. It's evident that the band love being on stage, as front man Theo gushes that they're all so honored to be here - a thought echo'd by the massive grins on the rest of the bands faces. After a few more dance anthems, they slow it down a little, and introduce their song 'We Only Laugh When It Hurts' - which is an absolute favourite of mine - and the crowd watches on absolutely mesmerized. They finish off their set with 'Two Angels', and we jump back into the middle of the crowd to have one last dance. We had a little chat with the band pre-Laneway, which you can read here!

BENE
Bene’s smooth raspy vocals pulled an insane crowd that almost filled the entirety of Alfred Street as the third act on the Thunderdome Stage. Her vocals, the temperature and body heat was all on fire as we made our way through the crowd to be closer to the stage. Bene was rocking a stunning mellow yellow maxi skirt that was a perfect reflection of her contagiously positive personality. Her alternative pop got us all grooving, especially during crowd favourites, ‘Tough Guy’ & ‘Soaked’.  It was so lovely seeing Bene rock the stage, hearing the crowd sing her lyrics back was definitely on a completely different level in comparison to her previous smaller gigs! Everyone was feeling the music and seemed so blissed out. It was a bit of a mission getting out of the crowd but it was definitely worth it! We did an interview with Bene earlier in the month, if you want to get to know her better feel free to check it out here!

MITSKI
I went to Laneway solely based on the hope of seeing three particular artists. One of which pulled out, the second was Mitski. I’ve been a fan of her for longer than I can recall, even to the point where my flatmate and I named our cat after her. Backstories aside her set was as to be expected - INCREDIBLE. She is a performer who’s energy never dulls right down to the last bow. Every moment she holds with you feels special, personal. One could say watching Mitski is like watching an art performance only you know what’s going on. She radiates such strong composition and ability within herself that every second she doesn’t move even tells a story about her. She’s sharing herself with the audience and it feels raw, vulnerable and beautiful. Her voice not only is incomparable live to recording, but some could also say it’s better. Seeing truly is believing with Mitski.

THE DEAD C
Taking a break from the crowds, we find ourselves a nice tree by the Dr. Martens Stage to take shelter under and just soak up some music. Noise band The Dead C are known for their onstage improvisation - no show is ever the same, and so they're a brilliant choice to just lay back and re-charge too. Full of heavily distorted instruments, i'm left in a state somewhere between awe and bliss as it all washes over the crowd. Though I can't help but feel a little amused at the fact that their backdrop is just a whole lot of safety notices for the Festival. Stay hydrated!

REX ORANGE COUNTY
Secondly on my list was Rex Orange County. He rose to fame after recording with Tyler, the Creator and is now every indie kids favorite. With melodic, happy tunes that touch on relatable topics for any young person while making you want to sing along as loud as you can. There’s no denying the talent of Rex and his band. Their experience with their instruments alone is impressive. Alex’s (“Rex”) stage presence isn’t show-y off-y or over the top. He’s just there to say hi and play you some nice songs. Rex Orange County is 2019’s answer to alternative music, mixing almost every genre under the sun. He brings you something everyone can appreciate.

JORJA SMITH
Jorja Smith is a goddess. I could leave it at that. It was at the part of the day where the sun wasn’t quite down but everyone was getting pretty exhausted. Friends and I pitched a spot under a tree and watched her on the big screen, the stage just out of focus. Not only does her voice provide smooth, relaxing ease into the evening of a long day but her band was equally as impressive. Instrumentals molding between songs, Jorja Smith knows how to stun a crowd.

COURTNEY BARNETT
A massive crowd surrounds the Princes Street Stage as Courtney Barnett gets the crowd moving with her rock infused folk pop. It is the perfect atmosphere as the sun is setting and the night is starting to wind down. We were all probably tired as hell from the sun and a few people may have had too many drinks but the vibe of Courtney’s music picked us all back up. With her insane guitar shredding and incredible vocals, it was the perfect balance that woke us up and got us grooving again. We were all stoked to hear some of Courtney's classics as you could hear the lyrics being passionately shouted from the crowd. As soon as the popular hits like ‘Avant Gardener’ , ‘Depreston’  and ‘Pedestrian at Best’ begin, everyone starts to sing. It was like a drunken choir which still managed to sound pretty damn good honestly. Courtney Barnett has been to multiple Laneway Fesival’s and has played a few of her own shows here in Auckland but she never disappoints. She has a rock star vibe and wholesome heart, addressing issues like mental health, positivity and politics which complimented a few other artists at this years Laneway Festival.

DENZEL CURRY
Denzel Curry was one of the last performers before the closing acts. Hands down he has some of the best visuals I had seen all day. If you weren’t watching him bounce from one side of the stage to the other, watching the screen behind him was just as crazy. His show goes in chapters, providing a lighter, Dragon Ball Z inspired setting up for the first chapter before the last chapter that shows darker imagery. Zombies, limbs, images of Denzel at his most hype provide a great backdrop to the set ending with ‘Ultimate’, the song that launched the rapper in to light.

FLORENCE & THE MACHINE
Last on my list is Florence & The Machine. I've been waiting years to tick Florence off my bucket list, but this is the first time that the stars have aligned. Timed to start at exactly the same time as the sunset, Florence floated on stage in a delicate sheer Victorian era gown. She twists and twirls her way through each song, remarking that she loves New Zealand, "it feels very feminine, very safe." Florence commands the energy in the atmosphere, encouraging us to send our most negative feelings upwards as we dance. "This is going to make you feel vulnerable," she says, "But put your phones away, put your fucking phones away!" Trying to translate the energy of Princes St full of people dancing along with strangers to Florence into words is difficult.
Florence asks us one last request during her encore, if we will be her "Auckland Choir" - and everyone is happy to take part as she finishes the night with 'Shake It Out'.

Little Ditty About Jackie & Diane (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Summary: What happens with Dean meets the female version of himself?
Pairing: Dean x OFC
Word Count: 4,510
Warnings: language, double entendres
A/N: So this is something I had stuck in my head. It’s not going to be a full blown story, but there are going to be other installments of it. I have about 6 of them mapped out so far. There will be time jumps between each one. Hope you guys like it! Let me know what you think, this is my first time writing for Supernatural. I don’t own the rights to any of the art or characters. Just Jackie and my crazy imagination.
One Bourbon, One Scotch, & One Beer
"Jackie, we have a situation on our hands and we need your help," Jody said, her voice holding a bit of strain through the speaker of my cell.
"Ok," I replied.
"I'll send you the coordinates. Everyone will be meeting there tomorrow around 6 P.M.," she stated. "And I know this goes without saying, but please be careful on your way there."
"Yes, Mom," I whined in my best teenage impression.
"Please act your age," she sighed.
"Where's the fun in that?" I chuckled before hanging up the phone and finishing my hair and make up.
I threw all of my toiletries and makeup in a duffle before grabbing the rest of my things and setting it on the bed nearest to the door. I had zipped up my knee high boots over my worn jeans and grabbed my leather motorcycle jacket when my phone pinged with an incoming text. Just as promised Jody had sent me the location of the spot we were meeting.
I had met Jody on a hunt about a year ago. She and Claire were chasing down a nest of vamps that had set up shop between two towns. I had been investigating one town, she the other when we ran into each other while scoping out the nest. Clearing out the place had been the easiest I had ever experienced, the three of us making one hell of a team. She asked me to stay in contact with her after that and we had teamed up a time or two after that but I never stayed long. She understood why I never stayed and for that I respected her immensely. Jody had a family, a family I was not willing to put at risk with the curse that was my life. Don't get me wrong, I had tried that life before. Meeting someone nice, planting roots in a place and giving up the lifestyle for something normal, but after two years I left in the middle of the night. Normal had been too boring and predictable, two things that I was definitely not.
After checking out of the motel I packed up my car and put the location Jody had given me in my GPS. Lebanon, Kansas. I'd make it there with a day to spare and the thought made me excited for what the night could hold. The last hunt had been a bit extensive so not much fun was had in the last week, so I was itching to blow off some steam with my old friend and namesake, Jack Daniels. Yeah, laugh all you want, I was named after whiskey.
Dad won a bet with Mom, but ultimately compromised with my mother and named me Jacquelin, Jackie for short. He thought it was the best idea in the world since our last name was Daniels. Dad had a warped sense of humor, something else I had gotten from him along with the hunger of this lifestyle and my car. Diane had been all I had left of them after they died since we were always moving and never really accumulated much. Diane was a 1968 Chevelle that they had bought me for my sixteenth birthday. She was quite the rust bucket back then, but Dad and I had put in the time to restore her from the frame up. Dad had made sure the car was everything he and I had pictured. She had a racing engine, a custom hood with the scoop and pins, chrome grill and tail light bar. The finishing touch had been the amazing flat black paint job we gave her with the glossy black racing stripes. She's a badass bitch.
~~~
The drive to Lebanon hadn't taken very long, but then again, I always enjoyed driving so even a long drive never felt like long. I found freedom and peace behind the wheel with the rumbling of Diane's engine singing me a wonderful song. I pulled into the first motel I came across around eight at night and decided to order a pizza so I had some food in my stomach before going out to drink. I texted Jody to let her know I had made it to our destination already and where I was staying for the night before switching tops for my favorite tank top and putting on my jacket.
I had done a little research while eating dinner to find the local watering hole and that research did not disappoint. The place was nothing short of a shack sitting on the side of the road. I'm sure if one of the boards moved on the building the whole place would fall to pieces. Dive bars were my thing, the locals were never there to make friends and neither was I so it fit my mood well. I parked towards the back of the parking lot like I always did and headed inside. The air was thick with smoke, the jukebox was playing REO Speedwagon, the lights were dim, and the barstools were worn out leather. I headed to the bar feeling the eyes of all five patrons on me which informed me that they were in fact local regulars and I was the person out of place. "Jack and coke, please," I said as I sat down at the bar. The bartender gave me a nod before heading off to do his job.
Within the hour the place started to come to life as more people trickled in. I was on my second drink when a DJ turned the jukebox off and announced that he was starting karaoke for the night. After the third pop song blared through the speakers while girls that looked barely legal squealed in the microphones I decided it was time to put the pop shit to bed. I put a song up and waited my turn while trying my best to tune the horrendous music out while watching the people milling about. I had gathered from the crowd that this was where all the single ladies came to slut themselves out for free drinks and the men came with the intention of taking one of them home. Every guy in the place had at least one girl hanging all over him, a few of them with two. I liked being the majority sex in the bar, the guys were outnumbered meaning they all had their hands full for the night and I could just enjoy my booze, some music, and watching all of the regrettable decisions being made for the night in peace.
"And we have Jackie coming up," the DJ announced over the speakers. I sucked down the rest of my drink before placing my jacket on my stool to hold my spot and then headed up to enjoy some real music. The guitar was loud and pounding through the speaker as the song started and I began to talk my way through the first verse of "One Bourbon, One Scotch, and One Beer." I tapped my leather clad foot to the beat as I let the song take me away and the guys started to sing along. As the song hit the chorus the scantily clad girls took over the dance floor with their man of choice and I took the cue to loosen up and dance on the stage as I jammed out. During the instrumental break I shook my ass getting lost in the riffs and crying of the guitar when a loud whistle let out that caught my attention. I looked up around the room, finding most of the patrons were in fact on the dance floor jamming out with me, all except one. He was sitting with his back leaning against the bar as he watched me on stage, a girl pressing herself against his side. I went back to my jam session, finishing off the song with a loud eruption of applause. I put in another song before heading back to my spot at the bar.
I looked around wondering who had left their drinks at my spot. "They're yours," the bartender shouted above the music. "Guy at the end of the bar," he added with a point toward the end the guy sat at. I sat down, picking up the two tumblers and giving them each a sniff. One bourbon, one scotch, and one beer. Clever, I thought as I shook my head with a laugh. I grabbed the glass of bourbon before looking down the bar to catch the eyes of the man who had bought the clever order. The same guy that hadn't been dancing was now staring me down, beer in hand, girl long gone, with a smirk on his face as our eyes caught one another. I tipped my glass with a nod in thanks and he did the same before putting the beer bottle to his full lips. I took the bourbon in a long gulp before slamming the glass back down to the wooden bar. I looked back up to where the man had been but he was gone.
"The name's Dean," the deep voice said in my ear, the warmth of his breath washing over me.
"Smooth," I retorted as I turned around in my seat after grabbing the glass of scotch.
"Oh, I assure you that's not the only thing smooth about me, sweetheart," he said with a smirk, completely full of himself.
Oh great, another self absorbed douchebag.
"And here I thought you wouldn't be the bald eagle type," I smirked back. His eyes grew slightly as he let the comment register.
His eyes are beautiful, I thought to myself. Too bad they are attached to an asshat, I shrugged to myself before turning back around on my stool.
"Manscaping is not a crime," he scoffed as he sat down on the empty barstool next to me. "And I've never had any complaints."
"I'm sure you haven't, big boy," I said, patting his back like a buddy would do.
"Wow," he laughed, "Did I just get friendzoned?"
"Oh, does that not happen often, Ken?" I asked as I finished off my scotch.
"My name's Dean," he replied quickly.
"I know," I smiled.
"Then why did you call me Ken?" he asked before taking a swig of his beer. "He some kinda douchebag ex?"
"I'm glad you think Ken is a douchebag, I guess douchebags recognize each other in the wild?" I quirked an eyebrow at him.
"Ouch," he clutched his hand to his chest like he had been shot.
"Ken Doll," I replied, rolling my eyes.
"Oh, so you're admitting I'm handsome even though you think I'm a douchebag?" he asked practically batting his long lashes.
"I'm not blind," I shrugged.
"Admit it, I'm easy on the eyes," he said wiggling his eyesbrows.
"Didn't I just do that?" I gave him a side eye, "I'm not sure how much more stroking your ego can take. I'm afraid your head my explode."
"I can handle a lot of stroking, Darlin," he smiled devilishly.
"Jackie, you're up," the DJ shouted. I got up without a word, walking to the stage barely able to keep my composure because my life was just full of ill timed fate.
As the song started Dean turned around in his seat again to watch as I started singing "The Stroke". The dance floor flooded with grinding bodies again and I let myself enjoy the ironic turn the night had taken. I danced, rolling my body to the beat, and mocked the words with my movements while I sang, every once in a while glancing over to Dean, who had the biggest shit-eating grin on his face. As the song ended, Dean gave me a half smirk as he rose from his bar stool, walking up to the stage with a bowlegged swagger I had never seen any man every pull off as sexy as he did. He stepped up on the stage, grabbing the microphone from my hand. "Let me show you how it's done, sweetheart." he said with a playful wink. Shaking my head, I walked back to my seat and had just sat down when the music escaped the speakers. The guitar riff of 'Hot Blooded' washed over me and I couldn't help but smile as I watched him pour himself into the lyrics. His brilliantly green eyes locked on me as he sang the chorus and then he pointed at me while singing the lyrics of the second verse and I couldn't help but laugh. As the song progressed he kept looking over at me like he was trying to serenade me with his message. I shook my head as he took the instrumental break to bust out his best air guitar moves. I turned around on my seat and listened as the song continued, watching him in the reflection of the mirror behind the bar while I finished off my beer. "So....." he trailed off as he sat down on the stool next to me. His green eyes impossibly brighter as they held a boyish charm looking for approval.
"Eh, A little anti-climactic if you ask me," I shrugged, trying my best to be neutral. He had actually done a decent job on the classic rock song, but I wasn't going to give him the praise he was looking for because, well quite frankly, he had a big enough ego, I wasn't going to help add to it.
"Well the best climaxes usually involve two people," he smiled, his tongue sneaking out past his teeth to barely touch his lips. "You know, duets," he added. "Oh, we are definitely going to duet tonight," he smiled even wider and I couldn't help but shake my head as I fought the laugh that was battling for release. "I've got the perfect song for us too," he said before getting up and walking over to the DJ to put in another song.
"Did you just put a song up for us to sing together?" I asked as he sat down.
"I told you we were going to duet, sweetheart," he wiggled his eyebrows.
"You think you are slick don't you?" I asked as I motioned for the bartender for a Jack and Coke.
"I think I'm adorable," he grinned. I didn't respond to him, just sat there sipping on my drink as I listened to a horrible rendition of Joe Nichols' 'What's a Guy Gotta Do'. I watched the sloshed guy in the mirror attempt to keep up with the tempo of the song as he stumbled and slurred his way through the words "So you come here often?" Dean asked after a few moments of awkward silence.
"Really?" I said, giving him my best 'Are you kidding me' look.
"I've just never seen you around here before," he quickly tried to recover.
"I'm here on business," I answered with a shrug of my shoulders.
"Dean and Jackie, come on up!" the DJ announced and Dean gave me a huge smile before grabbing my hand and pulling me up to the stage. I managed to snag my drink off the bar as I was dragged up to the stage.
"You ready?" Dean asked as he handed me a mic and reached for his own. The music started and I started chugging my drink as Dean started singing, my mind taking the full first verse before it registered what song he was singing. He turned to me as he started singing the chorus, "Take me home tonight, I don't wanna let you go til you see the light." I shook my head knowing exactly what part he wanted me to sing. I sat my now empty glass on the barstool that was on the stage and then put the mic in its stand before I made my way back to my seat to grab my jacket. He was one cheeky bastard, I'd give him that, but I wasn't going to stick around the rest of the night humoring him in his blatant attempt to get into my pants. I was here to enjoy a quiet night of drinking and watching the local drunks, not to be pursued by one of them. I was a few steps out of the front door when I heard him behind me. "Where are you going? Did you not like the song or something?" he asked making me stop in the middle of the parking lot.
I turned on my heel to face him, "I've gotta go. I have shit to do tomorrow and I'm tired."
"Well, how's about a ride home?" he asked, stroking the hood of a sleek black '67 Impala and grinning like he was the cat that ate the canary.
"Thanks, but I've got my own ride," I answered. "Have a good night, Dean." I turned back around headed back to my car that was now hidden behind a large truck.
"You need some good ole' American muscle to ride, not some souped up douchebag tree hugging car," Dean called out behind me and I couldn't help the extra sway of my hips as I kept walking away. He was going to shit his pants. I hopped into Diane, pulling out of the spot and stopping behind Dean's car. He mumbled out, "Son of a bitch," as he looked over my black beauty and then back at me. I gave him a wink and a wave before slamming my foot down on the gas pedal, tires squealing and gravel flying as I pulled out onto the highway.
~~~
I woke the next morning to my phone ringing, my head was pounding as I hit the decline button quickly to shut up the annoying noise. I looked at the clock realizing it wasn't as early as I had thought. The effort it took to sit up in my bed was excruciating, but I had an hour before check out time at the hotel and I still needed to clean up a bit before I went out in public. My phone rang again with a text message this time from Jody asking if I would meet her at a diner for lunch. I replied quickly before standing up and heading for the bathroom. After relieving myself, I washed my face and brushed my teeth. I thought about showering, but quickly decided against it since today was hunt day and I would more than likely end up a mess at the end of the day anyways. I ran my fingers through my dark brown, beach waved hair to detangle it the best I could without having to brush it, knowing if I did in fact brush it I'd end up with a frizzy mess. After I was somewhat satisfied with my hair I applied some makeup to my face in an attempt to look more alive. I looked in the mirror, deciding that this would have to do before throwing on a pair of jeans, one of my Dad's old AC/DC shirts I had revamped to fit me, my pair of black combat boots, and my leather jacket. I rounded up all of my things, storing them away in the trunk of my car before checking out of the hotel and heading off to meet Jody.
~~~
"I need coffee," I grumbled out as I sat down next to Claire.
"Rough night?" Jody asked before sliding a cup of the dark stuff my way.
"Mixed too many liquors," I said after taking my first sip of hot caffeine. "That's a big no-no, kid," I added, looking over at Claire as if I was giving her the best advice in the world. "You'd think after 31 years of life I'd know better," I said before running my hand over my face.
"Here," Jody said, sliding over a bottle of Ibuprofen.
"Thanks," I said, giving her the best smile I could muster through my headache. "So what's the case?"
"Well, the Winchester brothers have been tipped off that the head honchos of every monster species are congregating at a place not far from here," she started.
"Apparently, they are all in cahoots now," Donna, Jody's hunter/cop friend sitting next to her said. "They're planning on taking out all hunters and are planning to work together to do so."
"Ok, but why here?" I asked as the waitress came over bringing our food.
"Hope I ordered right for you," Jody said as the waitress sat down a plate with a burger and fries on it.
"Thank you," I grinned before adding my condiments on my burger.
"Well, the Winchesters are based here and my guess is that they are first on the hit list in hopes that if they take down the top hunters the rest of us will run," Jody explained.
"Are they John's boys?" I asked, remembering my Dad's friend he had done a hunt with when I was a little girl. I had met his sons when Mom watched them for John while he and Dad were gone. I had been five or six and his sons were quite older than me. Cam and Don, I think but couldn't be sure of their names. They had nothing to do with me and my dolls while they stayed with us. Dad had talked about John Winchester a lot while I was growing up, but he never came back around after that one hunt.
"Yeah, did you know their dad?" Jody asked, puzzled.
"Met him once. My Dad was friends with him," I explained before stuffing my face with french fries. "God, this is good," I practically moaned causing Claire to laugh. "So are we headed to their place after this?"
"Yeah, figured we could all settle in while we wait for the rest of the hunters meeting there," Donna said. "Plus, It's always nice to catch up with those boys."
We finished up eating and Claire climbed into the passenger seat of Diane, "I've been stuck in the car with those two for the past six hours. I need a break." I nodded in understanding before starting the car and following Jody and Donna to the Winchesters'.
~~~
We pulled up outside of what looked to be an abandon factory and I shut off the car before getting out and giving the area a scan. "They live in an old factory?" I asked skeptically.
"Under it technically," Claire answered. "Come on," she said as she followed behind Donna and Jody. As we walked through the door the interior was far from what I thought it would be. The architecture was beautiful and classic and I couldn't help my wandering eyes while we walked down the metal stairs to the main level of the area.
"Jody!" a voice shouted catching my attention. I stared as the extremely tall, long haired man enveloped Jody in a hug before moving onto Donna and then Claire.
"This is Sam," Claire introduced the man. "Sam, this is."
"George Thorogood." The voice made my heart stop as its source came around the corner from a hallway.
Oh, great. Him.
"What?" Sam asked with a puzzled look.
"Hi, I'm Jaqueline Daniels," I introduced myself, sticking my hand out to Sam for a handshake. "But everyone just calls me Jackie."
"Jackie Daniels?" Dean laughed. "Oh, God. That's........That's hilarious." Dean bent over clutching his side in hysterics.
"Yeah, laugh it up, Chuckles," I rolled my eyes.
"Dean," Sam growled out making Dean stand up straight. Dean shook his hands out in front of him in surrender as he worked hard to get the smile off his face. "Sorry, my brother's a dick," Sam said as he turned back towards me. "Make yourself at home," he said as he gestured around the place.
"Thanks," I smiled at the taller brother and I followed Claire over to a table in the center of the room to sit down.
"What the hell is your problem, Dean?" Sam whispered at his brother before glancing over at me and giving me a tight lipped grin before looking back at his brother with a glare.
"That's her, man," Dean said as he stuffed his hands into his pockets.
"Who?" Sam asked, confused.
"The girl from last night," Dean mumbled out in a whisper in attempt to stay inconspicuous.
"The one with the car?" Sam asked before glancing back at me and then looking back at Dean.
"Yep," Dean answered, standing up a little straighter and glancing over as well.
~~~
"Beer?" Dean offered, holding out a bottle in my direction.
"Thanks," I said as I grabbed it from his grasp.
"I'd offer a bourbon and scotch, but we've only got whiskey," Dean added with a smirk.
"Funny," I rolled my eyes. "The beer is fine."
"So, hunting..." he trailed off as he sat down in the open chair next to me.
"Yep," I answered with a nod before taking a swig of the cold liquid.
"Jody says you knew our Dad," Dean said more as a statement instead of a question.
"I knew of him. Met him once. And I guess I knew you too. My Mom watched you once," I said with a shrug. Dean nodded and squinted his eyes as if he was peering through rows and rows of memories to track down a specific one.
"She made us chocolate chip pancakes," he added after sitting silent for a few minutes.
"Sounds like her," I smiled.
"So how long have you been in the life?" he asked, looking genuinely interested.
"About ten years," I answered.
"So you've been hunting since you were a teenager too?" Dean looked like he was trying to piece together something in his mind.
"Dad finally took me on a hunt for my twenty-first birthay," I answered, a small smile playing on my lips as I took a few minutes to recall the memory. I had begged him for years, but he always said he wanted me to have my first legal drink before he would take me. We wasted no time after midnight the morning of my birthday, venturing to a bar so I could order my first beer.
"So 31," Dean mumbled to himself as if he was doing mental math to figure out my age.
"I'm taking it Math wasn't your strong suit in school?" I asked, one eyebrow raised.
"Dean was too busy getting busy in school to learn anything," Sam laughed as he jumped into our conversation after finishing up his talk with a few hunters that had arrived.
"Not all of us had the opportunity to go to Stanford," Dean quipped back at his brother who just shrugged his shoulders.
"But I'm pretty sure you learn how to add ten to a number in first grade. Doesn't take a college education to do simple math," I said, which earned an unamused look from Dean.
"Oh, I like her," Sam chuckled as he stood up from his chair. "She's like a smarter, female version of you," he added before patting Dean on the shoulder as he walked by.
Onomatopoeia
Kim Minkyung performing Momoland - JJan! Koong! Kwang!
Her heart was beating faster than she was expecting.  Singing with a chorus? She could handle that.  Playing piano by herself in front of people? No problem.  Soon though, she would be singing in front of people with a little bit of choreography in her head to try and give a little bit of the fun dance that went along with the song.
She sometimes had a unique taste in songs and this one was no different.  It had come out just a few months before, during wintertime, but she felt it was an upbeat and “spring-ish” song, so she felt it would be fun to give it a try.  She knew that she probably wasn’t as advanced as a lot of the people performing, but so what?  She likely wasn’t going to see a lot of these people again and she really wasn’t one to embarrass easily.
When it was finally her turn to head up on stage, she got them to play the music, taking the microphone in hand.  She ignored the beginning part where they “introduced” the group and instead decided to give a flying kiss to the crowd, which she would swear later got at least two claps from the audience.
You like it MOMOLAND You love it MOMOLAND You like it MOMOLAND You love it MOMOLAND
Makes no sense, Saw it only in my dreams The moment I started talking, I woke up So I couldn’t find it
I see that person right in front of my eyes Am I sick or something? Even if I rub my eyes and look again, The same person appeared, like destiny
She wasn’t sure how many people knew the song, but there was at least some interest in people in the crowd to bounce around to its interesting beat.  She hoped she would do alright with the singing, though she knew it wasn’t an overly difficult song to sing technique wise.  The chorus came up and it was her favorite part because she had remembered at least a little bit of the choreo that went with it.
Appeared with a Jjan! My heart runs crazy Thinking if he fell down To the ground with a Kung! noise Are you really a human? Tell me
Bebebebebe My body is twisting Dedededede My cheeks are burning Bebebebebe My body is twisting Bebebebebe Yo ma bebe bebe Muah~
At this point she didn’t care if the audience loved it or not, she was just performing for herself and she was having fun with it, this being obvious to the crowd as even though she couldn’t really tell, they seemed to be enjoying her enthusiasm at the very least.
Because of you, all day my feelings go Up down up down I can’t make up my mind Even if the moon in the sky doesn’t know my heart Oh I want to know you
I see that person right in front of my eyes Am I sick or something? Even if I rub my eyes and look again, The same person appeared, like destiny Oh my baby
Appeared with a Jjan! My heart runs crazy Thinking if he fell down To the ground with a Kung! noise Are you really a human? Tell me
I wanna tell you boy I’ll show my heart to you I’ll show you, just follow me You are my love Tell me now
The song was getting closer to its completion and she knew she had made the right choice.  Maybe soon she’d come up with some way of performing more for people because she was really having fun singing for them and maybe with some work, she wouldn’t be half bad.
Hey mr.baby, Come on get me You, hi, Come to me To the left to the right I don’t need cold places anymore Now, hi, come to me, my only fantasy
Appeared with a Jjan! My heart runs crazy Thinking if he fell down To the ground with a Kung! noise Are you really a human? Tell me
Bebebebebe My body is twisting Dedededede My cheeks are burning Bebebebebe My body is twisting Bebebebebe Yo ma bebe bebe Muah~
My Wings Tour Experience: Santiago, Saturday 11th
I had the chance to go to both dates. Since I’m from Argentina and I was going to spend all that money on travelling tickets and accommodation, I decided to spend all I could on the concerts as well lol.
I got second floor tickets for Saturday 11th and first floor tickets for Sunday 12th. The date on Sunday was supposed to be the first date of the tour, but the boys sold out the tickets in less than 5 hours and when they needed to add a second date the only choice was Saturday. Hence, the first date became the second. I was so excited both days that I kind of forgot some details, so I’ll try to remember as much as possible.
Something I would like to mention is that even though the show was in Santiago, there were A LOT of fans from different Latinamerican countries. I personally know around 20 other people just from my city (Córdoba) that were in the show, but there were a lot of ARMYs from Buenos Aires and smaller cities in Argentina. I also saw a big group of fans from Bolivia and then there were a lot of fans carrying Uruguayan, Paraguayan, Peruvian flags. The woman that rented the apartment me and my friends stayed in said that she owned 13 apartments and had 8 of them rented to ARMYs from a lot of countries, including Colombia (she was really surprised because she said that it was the first time something like that had happened to her, having so many people renting her apartments for the same date, from so many different places and all for the same reason).
I was also surprised to see that the media in Chile was covering all about it, and everyone I talked to in Chile seemed to know that we were there because of “that Korean band” lol. I even visited a different city in Chile (Valparaiso) after the concert and the Uber driver was like “Oh you are here for BTS right? people hasn’t stopped talking about it”. Bangtan is huge.
Saturday 11th
They started with Not Today. The moment when the music started playing and the curtain fell, the stadium went crazy. The one I remember to most from Not Today is Taehyung, because that bandana increases his looks a 3547%, it’s been proved by scientists, I kid you not.
After Not Today came the intro talk. The guys introduced themselves in English and Spanish. They just said “Hola” in Spanish and everything that followed in English. Yoongi did his classic taking-his-in-ear-off and listening to the cheers, but couldn’t help smiling because the cheers were seriously crazy.
Tumblr media
Jimin tried to speak some English during the first talk, but nobody understood a word, his English was too broken. I’m not saying this as a critic, but more as something that happened because later during the show the guys kept laughing at him ‘cause it was clear that nobody could understand what he was trying to say but ARMYs would still cheer for him and the guys laughed harder at that haha. Hobi and Jungkook talked in English a lot. Kookie has improved SO MUCH, our boy has been studying hard, I’m so proud of him. Yoongi thanked us for coming to the show and then screamed “THANK YOU-SO- MUCH-ARMY” and then threw a kiss -Jin Style- and got all shy, it was the cutest thing ever. Hobi kept waving and smiling to the fans next to the stage. I’m proud to say that during the first talk people cheered for all the boys with the same excitement and you could see that they were kind of surprised with the loudness, we were really REALLY loud (if you know a Latino person, then you probably can imagine what an stadium filled with 20 thousand Chilean, Peruvian, Bolivian, Argentinian, Paraguayan, Uruguayan and Colombian fans can sound like).
There was a project to rise a banner and sing Happy birthday to Yoongi after they finished speaking, but everything was so fast that unfortunately we didn’t have the chance :/ as soon as fans were getting ready to start singing, they lowered the lights and moved on with the show.
Tumblr media
The guys were perfect and on point on every single song after that. The crowd went crazy with Hobi’s solo during Baepsae. J-Hope was, to my opinion, the star of the night. Latinamerican ARMYs really love Hoseok and we showed it. We cheered really loud for all of them, but Hoseok got the biggest amount of screams. He looked so happy the whole night, it was priceless. I’ve never seen someone with a more beautiful smile in my entire life.
During his part on the bridge in Dope, Jimin didn’t sing. He just opened his arms really wide and did a few spins like he was Heidi on the hills, holding his microphone up high and listening to the fans singing. He smiled like he was having the time of his life; Park Jimin is so adorable I can barely contain myself and my love for this little cutie. He also made a heart with his arms when the song finished (damn camera man didn’t capture it alright xD)
Tumblr media
They played a VCR and then Jungkook sang Begin, the first solo of the night. How this kid can sing and dance like that without missing a note is still a mistery to me.
Lie received a crazy reaction. The public sang along the whole song, and Jimin’s voice was amazing. The choreography is so good, the whole stage is so breath taking… as a Jimin biased, I was a little bit disappointed that I couldn’t see it as close as I would’ve liked, since the first day I was really far from the main stage and the second day I could only see chunks of it (I’m so short TT.TT people kept covering my line of vision, fuck my life honestly). I still could rely on the screens, but I didn’t want to look at the screens, I see BTS on a screen every day of my life. I wanted to see them with my own eyes even if it meant seeing them the size of an ant. You can watch my video here if you like. (I know the quality is shit, but if you listen with earphones you can listen clearly how loud ARMYs were singing).
First Love. Min Yoongi. The piano. The passion this guy has for music gives you chills. As part of the project for his birthday, fans were given other banners that we were supposed to raise during First Love. The silver one that says Agust D is my favorite, it’s really shiny and pretty. I hope Yoongi saw them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During Lost, a group of fans held a huge sign that said “ARMY says SORRY” for the invasion of privacy the guys suffered when they went out to eat and during his stay at the hotel. Taehyung, Jungkook and Jin saw the sign (I’m not sure, but I think Jimin did too). I felt really sad for that. It’s really unfair that because of a group of disrespectful and inconsiderate people, Chilean ARMYs ended up looking so bad they needed to apologize to the boys during the concert. I think is a good thing that fans recognize when they do something wrong and try to fix it, but being honest, I’m sure that the people holding the sign weren’t the ones that did it. Chilean ARMY worked really hard organizing projects and even prepared a flyer with a “Manual to be a good ARMY” that specifically asked for people to have good manners and respect the boys. They even did a campaign about it like a month before the show. Unfortunately, there’s always selfish people that don’t think about the boys or the way they end up making their country look just for a picture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Save me was flawless. I couldn’t take my eyes off Yoongi. No matter how much the boys like to drag his dancing skills, I’m no fool. Min Yoongi can dance.
During I Need U I felt like an earthquake was happening or something because ARMYs were singing so loud I swear everything was moving. Another prove I have of that is the short video I could record that was ruined because the sound was so damn loud that my stupid camera saturated the sound and all you can hear is the bass. But you can still notice how during the last part, the boys barely sang and let ARMY do all the singing. Jeon Jungkook jumped so high I was impressed. It was a very emotional song, but it was as if all of us felt energized and happy to see them perform this song that’s so important for all of us.
Reflection’s stage was so pretty!!! It was all full of stars, beautiful colors and feelings. Namjoon’s voice is so clear and beautiful and he didn’t need to do much more that stand there and hold his mic to own that stage. Kim Namjoon is so damn talented that I swear if yall don’t start appreciating him now, you’ll regret it when he’s even more succesfull and amazing than he is today.
Tumblr media
Stigma was amazing as well. Taehyung reached his high notes like a goddamn pro and everyone went wild. My videos don’t make him justice at all, so I really hope one of the fansites got to film it. Tae really killed his solo stage.
Ok, now MAMA. I already said that Hobi was the star of the night, and I need to say it again. Jung Hoseok received so much love that after the concert finished, it was all me and my friends could talk about. Hobi shined so bright one of my friends even switched biases. She said “I always liked Hobi, but after seeing him with my own eyes he just escalated so high into my heart and there’s no way he’s leaving”. MAMA is a song that is so full of love and significance, but still has that cheerful thing that is so Hoseok that you can’t help feeling happy when you listen to it. Everybody was singing along, and when the lights went down during the bridge, everybody started chanting “J-HOPE! J-HOPE! J-HOPE!”. He does his rap acapella, the lights go up again and everybody was singing the Chorus like it was on Spanish. Hobi was definitely surprised. His smile was so SO big, you know that thankful and full of happiness smile Hoseok does? That was what was decorating his face at that moment. Then he started harmonizing while ARMYs kept singing “Hey MAMA, ijen naege gidaedo dwae eonjena yeope, hey mama…” and it was slkdfjskldf it was one of those moments that you need to live and share to know what I’m talking about.
youtube
Again, I hope one of the fansites got a recording of that moment because my video is not enough for my soul. You can watch it here. I know the quality is not the best, but the sound is not bad and you can clearly hear how great Hoseok voice was, how loud ARMYs were cheering and singing, how happy everybody was watching the sun shining on stage. To me, it was the highlight of the night.
After MAMA, and as if we hadn’t had enough quality performances that night, came AWAKE. Now, after how hyped and amazing Hoseok stage was I think it would have been hard for any other performance to follow it. Nevertheless, Seokjin owned it. Next time Bighit pulls any of the shit they do with Jin (like what happened with Not Today) I’m going to shove a copy of Awake up their asses because KIM SEOKJIN CAN FUCKING SING. When AWAKE started, everyone was singing along. Jin’s voice was so clear, stable and beautiful I felt like it was some sort of luxury to be able to hear it with my own ears. The whole stadium sang the song with Seokjin and by the second verse, Jin started tearing up. Yeap, our boy was crying. I always thought that it was a little impossible for international fans to make them cry (I guess I have an inferiority complex when compared with K-Armys), but I’m guessing Jin was moved by the fact that people was singing along with him and screaming his name with so much passion. Still, his voice didn’t crack for one second and he composed himself real quick. He reached his high notes like it was nothing and pretty much became the king of ballads, thank you very much.
youtube
Jin deserves so much more than we give him, I hope one day he can have his justice. I can’t wait to hear more of his songs.
Cypher was the moment my soul was cleansed, I gained like 20 years of life after that performance. Namjoon was totally excited, Hoseok looked like some sort of sexy gangster and I’m telling you, listening Min Yoongi rap “Fuck you and you” is a once in a lifetime experience, 100% recomended.
All the songs that came after that are kind of like a blur to me, I can’t remember much. I was so into the concert, singing so hard that at one point I remember that I felt my chest aching lol
I remember that fans tried singing Happy Birthday to Yoongi many times during the talks but for different reasons we couldn’t and everyone was so frustrated lol Who would’ve thought that it was going to be so hard? haha. I also remember that the guys did a talk in Spanish and we could barely hear them ‘cause fans wouldn’t shut up -.- Jimin was struggling so much, I couldn’t understand much of what he was trying to say, but I in a moment he did say one sentence really clearly and fans cheered extra loud for him and he said “HA!” on the mic, like he was super proud of himself and I died. Park Jimin is so cute, I kid you not, he’s smol, adorable and an angel. He really is an angel.
Hobi danced Boy Meets Evil and once again fans cheered his name so loudly, it gave me chills. Also, seeing him dance that choreo was extreme. He’s so good. I wish I could’ve paid more attention to B,S&T but I was partying so hard...
Then 2!3! happened. The stadium looked so pretty filled with all the banners. There was also a strong campaign encouraging fans to learn the lyrics to 2!3! and the lyrics of the chrous were printed on the back of the sign, but honestly, fans knew the lyrics <3
youtube
As later we found out, the sign had a typo lol but thankfully it wasn’t somehting that changed the meaning or anything, and the guys found it cute, so I think it was a success.
The sang Wings, played around and then finished with Spring Day. The choreo is beautiful.
The guys were extremely sweet. Also, I happened to see the whole thing about the giant ARMY Bomb haha. Yoongi saw it first. He started motioning to Hoseok and laughing like crazy and then the fans gave them the ARMY Bomb. Hoseok grabbed it and started ruuning around with the thing and Yoongi was running after him haha. It was super cute.
I don’t know if I’m biased or what, but I feel that the ones that enjoyed the show the most were Hoseok, Yoongi and Jungkook. RM and Jimin are a lot more composed, but super sweet anyways. Their voices sound so good live, like I died a hundred times listening to Namjoon’s English. Jin is a tease!!! He kept coming next to the borders of the stage and throwing kisses and winking and smiling and saghjsjhfd he’s so handsome. Personally, I felt like V was a little bit absent? my friend, a V biased said that it’s not that he was serious, but he was acting coy. I don’t know. I don’t remember much about him more than his amazing voice during Stigma, his killer looks with the bandana and that at one point he was dancing for some fans and I nearly died lol.
It was an amazing concert experience. I was bursting with happiness. I didn’t feel like I was watching a show from celebrities tho. It felt like I was watching my friends being awesome on stage, like they were this people i hadn’t seen in a really long time (even tho it was my first time seeing them ever) and after they left I didn’t feel so bad ‘cause I still had the show next day.
I will write an entry about the show on the 12th as soon as possible. That experience was a 100% different from the one on Saturday because I saw them up close. They are so gorgeous.
B1A4 2017 Live Space: 4 Nights in the U.S. - San Francisco, CA
<Live Space 2017> 19 February at the Warfield
Start time: 8:05pm End time: 10:03pm Hi-touch: 10:20-30pm
NOTE: This was written the night of the concert, so all of the moments here and what I remembered from that very night. I didn’t have time to post it up until now. Also, no photos because @strongchanpion has already posted the ones I’ve took.
== Pre-show ==
The really, really crazy thing @strongchanpion  and I had ever done was to wait six hours for a concert!! The weather wasn't too well because it was windy and sprinkling/continuously rains. Besides, there so many sirens that  went on that annoyed the daylight out of me. One thing that was cute was the fact that a police car strolled around and asked a question. Then later they came back and put 'What is Going On?' through their intercom. So cool! (Go ahead and check out @strongchanpion‘s fan account!)
During the wait, I have done most of the talking. It was so easy to keep things occupied but later I have gotten tired. The Warfield employees made things complicated because they did not announce about splitting the line in two: the VIP and the G.A. purchasers. It happened like this: I saw people running and I was confused and ran too. I knew it was something involved with VIP because I heard people saying it.
6:54pm was the estimated time that I have gotten in. I went by quick through security because I had nothing to be checked. I almost walked pass a lady by the doorway that was supposed to check my ticket (because I was too excited to get a good seat). Once I came into the Warfield theater, the pit was already full. (B1A4′s Only One was playing!) I walked out from the pit and walked to the GA standing because it was empty! I had to take my chance and did! FRONT ROW SEATS! YES!!
@strongchanpion and I talked about how excited we were for this. We were both ready for the concert! (A quick observation I’ve made during the pre-show was I saw someone looking behind the curtain on stage left. I think it is even staff or B1A4 looking at the crowd! OMG!) Around 7:45pm, the crew volume the B1A4's music louder in the theater. A few songs such as Good Night Baby (I think that is the song), O.K, What is Going On? that played for BANAs to sing along. They did and they were so GOOD! After that, the lights dimmed down at 8:05pm. It was SHOWTIME! And I was so super excited!
== CONCERT ==
8:10pm was when B1A4 came out. They exited stage-left and waved to greet us. The entire theater echoed with cheers! I was in shock because B1A4 were real (and they are)! (My reactions:) I saw Jin Young and said, "No way!" Then my eyes went to San Deul and thought, "San Deul??" I then saw Gong Chan and said, "Oh god, Gong Chan is real!" To Baro, "What? Baro?" And CNU, "It's really CNU!' Overall reaction: "B1A4 is really on stage!!!!" <3
Their first opening song was Melancholy. (I am shocked about this because I thought it was O.K or Lonely was going to be the opening.) They are all so freaking cute!!!
In the Air, Oh my Go, 악몽 (Nightmare), You, and네에게 한번더 반하는 순간 (The Moment I Fall For You Again) – To sing along with B1A4, I looked at how B1A4 sang and copy the words coming from their mouth to go with the melody. And if I don’t know the lyrics, I will hum the tune.
Sweet Girl – A song that’s never my favorite (but I learned how to like this song), so I rested my voice well during this song.
When the lights fade to black-out, I saw CNU in the center downstage and pulled a long white string out. I knew right away that the upcoming song was Lonely. Just as the beat came on, I heard Lonely and screamed so much!! They are so synced and well-rehearsal! Perfect as they are!! After, they sang 거짓말이야 (A Lie)! My heart died and I screamed even more because this was what I’ve been waiting for! To see them perform this! The chorus and the bridge got me the most (and it always does)!! (Clearly remembered Gong Chan handsomely walking forward to the center. Left hands holding onto the microphone and right hand in his pockets.) One thing I clearly remember was B1A4 was dancing in a dark-ish blue stage (lighting) and once the chorus, the lights changed to red/orange look. From that point on, the lighting started to brightened up a bit more. I loved the song choice between Lonely and A Lie. Good transition!!
꿈에 – The song that B1A4 sat down for a slow song! One thing I remembered from this performance was the members were going to sit. Baro said, "OK, let's sit." And then he clarified and said, "No, no, you guys don't. Only members."
If (너만 있으면) – This was the HIGHLIGHT of the concert for me! I’ve been telling @strongchanpion about if B1A4 performed this song, I will be in tears and cheers! And I did! (Expect for the tears, LOL!) Hearing B1A4 performed this song live in videos from their concerts and live sessions were amazing but not as much as this one (even if it is not live music played)! I loved when Jinyoung and San Deul vocalized together, having a mini duet during Baro’s rap. The best part on Earth for this song! And especially when Gong Chan is being a cutie that was in between them and pointed back and forth to show that the two got those notes!!! One of the most anticipated song I have longed for! And one of the reasons why I wanted to go since they announced this concert back in December!
The Time Machine –I knew they were going to perform O.K when Baro told us, "We're going back in time when we were young. To our debut days." About eight/nine songs were mixed together into a medley. It was awesome. (Though I couldn’t really remember what had happened!)
 몇번을 (How Many Times) – Oh yes! I was glad that they have performed this because I like how CNU did an amazing job pitching that second verse! *Cheers!*
내가 널 찾을게 (I’ll Find You) – Another good one (again)! I fell in love with this song when I heard it passing by in my iPod, while reading and studying. Once I heard I live, it was mind-blowing! Jinyoung’s pitch was phenomenal! He sounded so much better in live because I saw his gestures and emotions poured. (And he sat in the middle, which was a perfect view from where I stood which was the middle of the G.A. standing.) I was touched.
Drunk on You & Sparkling – From this day on, both songs reminds me of Baro. The excited squirrel! <3 And like what @strongchanpion said, Sparkling was when the shower began. What’s funny was when Baro asked about showering. I rhetorically answered, “Yes, I do need a shower.” (At that time, I was sweating in my sweater.) I didn’t know that B1A4 will literally give us a shower but once it started, there was no stopping.
Good Timing - Water bottle splashes and confetti flew everywhere. The song was repeated over 4x. A beautiful way to end this! (Jinyoung couldn't get over the fact that the concert was ending so he stood on stage so long even if the towels were long gone. He continuously waved by and then did a ten second pose for the audience. This leader is too cute!) The part that the members kept on throwing water to the audience was great! It was hyped and refreshing. I loved how strong Baro and Sandeul was. Every time they were to swing the water bottle to the center, the water reached to the GA standing! Amazing talents that have! LOL!! (Baro was really cute every time he brought a crate of water bottle to the stage for the members. Really well-prepared! :D)
Since the concert was based off from their 3rd album, Good Timing, this album has made a beautiful memory with these fellas! I am glad that the songs I liked are performed: O.K, Lonely, A Lie, If, How Many Times, Yesterday, I'll Find You, Good Timing, and What is Going On?, and Solo Day. Worth it!! They are such great performers and interactive beings! I love the fact that they threw water (from water bottle) and threw towels. So freaking cool and fun! Amazing people. I always wanted to see them live because I always see them through videos. They have done beautifully (tonight).
 == Members ==
Specifically talking about the members, Baro - I must talk about this guy first because he is just everything in this concert. I love the way how he communicates with us and his word choices are really simple and clear! I love when he told Jinyoung to stop playing with Sandeul. He said, "Hey, stop playing around." So cute, like a teacher. LOL. Also, when he threw the towel and it came all the way towards us and some ladies were fighting over it, Baro said, "No fighting." Geez, this guy is too cool and funny!! If I had a day to hang out with Baro, I definitely will! He seems pretty awesome to hang with!
Gong Chan is really handsome in reality. I couldn’t stop looking at him during the concert. At first sight coming on stage, I was shocked because he is really matured looking – much better in live!!
Jinyoung is a cutie pie. He really likes to have fun and is mischief. I like how he did all sorts of things that are amazingly adorable. It was really cute when he said, "SF BANAs, you are the best!" And he did a  thumbs up. A really cute leader! (If I remember correctly, he did the Sprout Dance.)
CNU is so tall and handsome, just like Gong Chan. Yet at the same time, CNU is really interesting. His dance moves and body waves on stage. However, I was so glad to see him did so well for A Lie. And I love his vocals for How Many Times and really glad to hear that live!!!
San Deul, this kid is adorable. This kid really is!! (: I love his live performance and pitch! They are so perfect and well done! So proud! I was so glad to witness his Jo Jang Hyuk smile and singing gestures. Loved it really much. Especially when he sang, "Stay the way you are." Masterful.
== Hi-touch ==
It happens so quick. We went to the pit but then got lined up. Everyone cheered so loud when they came. Gong Chan and CNU high-five fans from the pit and the far GA standing. When they lined up, I was scared. The line was moving so quick. It happened all too fast.
Gong Chan was first. I thought to myself, “Why does Gong Chan have to be first?” He was intimidating. He was the first person I remember but I had forgotten what to say, even to all of the members. Once I came, I interlocked fingers with him and we made eye contact. I then moved on to Baro. That guy looks extremely friendly! (He really looks like a squirrel too!) We made eye contact and interlocked fingers. Sandeul was the third person. I slightly only remember giving small interlock fingers with him. I couldn’t remember how Sandeul looked like except for smiling (I think he stood where there were no lights.) Moving on to CNU, by this time, I stop to interlock and slap his hands. (I might’ve done that to Sandeul too.) Then Jin Young and his booming music. (I think I got disturbed by Jinyoung's music. Erg...that leader. LOL.) The entire time, I only said, "Thank you.” It was a flash. I knew I could have slowed down but it was better than nothing.
They are all really cute kids and handsome ones. They are so enthusiastic about everything too! The stage and all - they killed it and it was a total live tonight. Love this experience! The fans are the best element in this concert too!!
Also, applaud to their production staffs! The lighting was amazing! Every time B1A4 wanted us to sing, the stage lights will shine toward us. Naturally, as audiences, we know that the light means that we are also included into this show and it’s just not about those on stage. It was a really cool way to tell us that it was time for interaction. (Breaking that fourth wall!)
Overall, a beautiful night. Loud cheers from left to right, top to bottom. Bright lights that made my heart shine because we can see each other clearly. Songs were even better in live than the audio. B1A4 and BANAs made it happen together! One of the BEST moment in 2017!!
A VOLTRON PENTATONIX AU?? AKA LANCEYONCE AND CREW
Okay so sit the fuck down everyone I’m documenting this annoying ass dream that has been haunting me for the best few months.
The Basis: So we all know about Pentatonix, right? (If you don’t, it’s an a capella group that remakes the old songs of famous artists to give them a new sound. They also have a few of their own original pieces). So, basically, imagine the Voltron gang doing this, except not a capella. They remake the tracks and beats to near perfection in order to pull this off.
The group consists of Allura, Pidge, Shay, Hunk, Lance, Keith, and Shiro, with Matt and Coran doing background work.
Now to the Details.
Lance
Lance is in charge of any and all Beyonce-related performances.
The group itself started with him. He performed to her songs with his own original choreography and everything. Sometimes he would collab with Hunk.
He picks his own songs
He does nothing half-assed in this group. He’s very nitpicky with lighting and stage set up because he needs to achieve that WOW! factor
Sometimes he goes a little overboard and the team needs to reel him in really quick because they can’t light fireworks on stage
He was disappointed but then he realized glitter and confetti cannons were a much better idea
Because all of Yonce’s songs have a certain feel to him, he chooses based on how his life is going
Happy? Fun? Well-off? TIme to whip out his favorites.
Sad? Had an argument? Where’s his sad stuff at.
Somebody died? Feelings of worhlessnesss? There’s a song for that, too.
All his outifts are chosen by Shay while Allura does his makeup
These three are besties they do all the styling stuff tgether
Lance either wears practical shoes or heels there is no in between
Performing in heels is a little harder but he manages because he’s just that good
He was excited to perform “6 Inch” because he had the perfect shoes for that
A lot of the songs he sings are romantic-like so he does a partner dance with Keith
One time the two had gotten into a fight, so he performed the most of the Lemonade album and some of the songs from the 4 album
Keith was in tears and ended up dancing with him again
The crowd went fucking nuts
His favorite songs to perform are probably Partition and any other song with sexual lyrics bc he gets too into it sometimes
Keith loves it but at the same time he blushes really hard
It’s funny to watch
Before a concert he discovers that his uncle died and that hit him hard because they were very close
And yet he still performed but with more passion
And he added the song I Was Here because death is such a sudden thing and he could die any second now just like his uncle did
The others actually played the background instruments for him (cello, piano, ect.)
Lance responds to as many fans as he can on his social media
The boy has Tumblr, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and he’s the main one who runs the group’s Youtube channel
Sometimes he holds Q and A’s on Periscope
During interviews he answers nearly everything meant for him
He also makes up the names of his fans and it changes every time
“Sup Lancers”
“How’s it shaking, my Bluebells?”
“What questions are in store for me today, Voltribe?”
It’s out of control
Whenever Lance isn’t performing he’s on back up vocals/dancing
That’s the rules: If it isn’t your turn, you work your ass off with back up and background dancing
If he’s feeling a bit peppy he’ll also certain Jason Derulo songs
Hunk
Let’s establish one thing: If Lance is Beyonce than Hunk is Nicki Minaj
It started off as a joke at first, but Hunk found it really fit with how he felt
And his flow is DOPE so win-win
He performs literally every song out there by her with no shame because Nicki Minaj has been his Girl for Years and she gives him confidence
His outfits slay all the time. All. The. Time.
They’re pretty much renditions of Nicki Minaj’s own performance outfits, but designed to make him feel comfortable
Shay helps him tailor all his outfits and even designs them sometimes
He prefers boots and sneakers when performing because heels kill his feet
His favorite song to perform is the Flawless remix with Lance because they kill everyone within a 20 ft radius
The choreography is his favorite as well
He even installs fire things to shoot flames up from the stage
He also has a really nice voice, but he prefers to rap than sing since he’s better with low notes
Sometimes he collabs with Shay, who’s the group’s other prime rapper
They’re fire onstage and off
Hunk loves Feeling Myself a lot because his confidence rises
So many people find it odd that Nicki Minaj is his persona
Hunk is so kind and timid?? He’s very smart and not one who curses unless very angry or upset
But when he’s rapping he gets all flashy and bold and suddenly he’s cursing all the time very clearly
His moms come to every concert, along with the McClain parents because they love supporting their sons together
Hunk’s moms always jokingly scold him about how provocatively he dresses and his potty mouth but they really don’t care
They smother him in kisses and gifts and flowers
Once, for their anniversary, Hunk asked Lance to perform “Ring Off” for his moms while he put together a video collage in their honor
The song fits their relationship so well
They cried very hard
When the Moana soundtrack was released, he got his own night to perform the whole thing with his family
He loved the event; it was the first time his whole family had done something together in such a long time
Hunk also helps Pidge and Coran with technical stuff likes lights and smoke affects
At interviews he takes shit from nobody and likes to brag about all the times he’s been right
Spoiler Alert: It’s a lot
He also shares embarrassing stories of the team
A lot of the gossip actually comes from him tbh
“Spoiler alert: there may or may not be a surprise performance some time soon.”
“A little birdie told me that two of our members are getting a little buddy buddy, so look out for updates on that.”
“Oh, y’all are gonna LOVE my outfit for the next tour. It’s gonna be lit.”
The outfit was, in fact, on fire.
Allura
To complete the Power Trio, Allura is Rihanna
Sorry I don’t make the rules
Except I do lmao
This role originally was gonna go to Shay but then Shay realized she loved to rap so Allura hopped on it
Allura loves Rihanna fashion choices
A lot of her outfits are based off of RiRi actually
Her favorite album has got to be the ANTI album
It’s a masterpiece
Just so well written
Best songs ever
The fans love when Allura comes on stage because she provokes so much emotion and her voice carries so well
Not to mention her British accent gives a different feel from Rihanna’s Barbadian one
She has a very diverse cast of fans and probably recieves the most fanmail out of everyone
Lance and Hunk are second
Lance is Bitter
Shay’s third
 Keith, Pidge, and Shiro are tied for fourth
All of her songs are choreographed by herself
Her makeup artist is either Lance or Shay
Depends on who wins the coin toss that day
With Shay her eyeliner is swoopy and sharp with rinestones
With Lance it’s artsy eye makeup and glitter
Allura likes both
All of her outifts are planned from the the top to the socks she wants to wear
Her hair is so long that it makes styling it very easy?? Like she has so many options
If she doesn’t style it herself than either Shiro or Coran does because they always have great ideas
For every performance, Allura opens with a quote related to what songs she plans to perform
Everyone thinks their from philosophers or something but really she’s quoting tumblr posts
She has the same social media as Lance, and they often compete for followers and such
All of her stuff is very pastel space
The pink marks under her eyes are in fact tattoos
She got them along with Coran for her 18th birthday
They’re her trademark
Nobody knows if her hair is natural or dyed at first
It’s naturally really bright she just added highlights to it
When not performing, Allura is Lance’s number one backup singer
Sometimes Lance will let her perform Beyonce songs
Specifically Who Runs The World (Girls) bc that’s her actual anthem and Lance feels disrespectful
And Daddy Lessons, which makes her emotional
Both she and Lance sing Pretty Hurts together because it applies to both of them
Allura and Lance have a contest for who’s the Better ‘Yonce
Lance wins
Lance and Allura are constantly accused of being siblings due to their bond
It’s a running gag in the fandom for quite sometime until Lance breaks the rumors
Some of her songs involve couple dances with Shiro
It’s amazing watching them interact with one another because they’re so gentle with each other and their love is so Real that it almost seems like you’re intruding on a moment
At interviews, Allura is constantly bragging about how strong she is
“Hunk and I are clearly the strongest ones here. We haven’t determined who holds reigning title, however.”
The two them proceed to arm wrestle.
It’s a tie
Everyone is crying. Everyone.
Sometimes, if she’s feeling it, she’ll do Marina and the Diamonds
Everyone takes a back seat to her then because she absolutely slays
Pidge
Pidge doesn’t normally sing but when she does it’s Hayley Kiyoko
Pidge loves her
Very much
She probably dresses the most simple out of them all
Her main style is shorts with stockings or knee socks and a loose fitting top
She let’s her hair grow out to her shoulders
She appreciates both long and short hair, and finds this a happy medium for her
She sports an undercut and the fans go crazy
Everybody finds Pidge adorable and most girls her age want to be her
Glitter! All over her eyes! Brings out the green!
Is either wearing glasses or contacts but mostly contacts
Pidge’s style is definitely K-Pop Idol
She’s a great dancer and does tons of flips
Everybody loves throwing her in the air
Pidge is in charge of all music and technology and such. Everything must be run by her
She adds the best effects to performances and is constantly praised
Pidge has social media too but it’s limited to Twitter and Instagram
Her livestreams are by far the fan favorite
It’s full of her pulling pranks and giving sneak peeks into practices and making bets
“Lmao ten bucks Lance is gonna be tripped by Allura”
He is, in fact, tripped by Allura
“You all owe me at our next concert
She films bloopers for the YouTube page
Most of the bloopers are of her and Keith screaming about aliens and Shiro favoriting her
Sometimes it’s Matt being an idiot
One time she temporarily dyes her hair a pastel green color
She loves it
Keith
Like Pidge, Keith doesn’t sing much. He mainly aids in choreographing performances
He’s been perfecting his dancing for years and has the smoothest rhythm
When he does perform, Keith’s specialty is P!ATD
He’s emo okay
And Brendon Urie is his first celebrity crush so why not pay tribute to him
Keith gets an undercut with Pidge
It’s not his favorite style so when he grows his hair out again he grows it out long
Longer than originally
Keith’s makeup is limited to eyeliner done by Shiro
His outfits have to be the exact ones in all of Brendon’s videos
“You guys don’t understand if I don’t have the top hat and red suit how can I do “I Write Sins Not Tragedies?”
“Keith, you’re going overboard”-Lance
“You have N O ROOOM TO TALK”
When doing interviews, he also has the KPop Idol look
It drives the fans insane
He secretly loves the attention
He probably has the loudest songs out of everyone but he appreciates it
Everybody loves dancing to his choreography
He doesn’t like social media but still has a Tumblr and Instagram
They aren’t for the group though they’re for his conspiracy theories
Pidge Co-runs the tumblr account and has her own cryptid Insta
His live streams consist of the group cryptid hunting together
If he does post to the group’s YouTube account it’s for cryptids or a sneek peak of some choreography
Sometimes he lets Lance do his makeup and post it on the channel
He loves to choreograph for Lance specifically because it always somehow involves him
Partition is probs his favorite too for obvious reasons
Shay
Shay’s the universal rapper of the group though she mainly does Drake
Shay just seems like a Drake fan so-
Still she does other rappers since she isn’t very picky
Shay’s outfits mirror Drake as well, though adding her little twist and touches to them
Most of the time Lance and Allura help her with clothes
Her makeup always deals with earth tone or stars there is no in between
She lives for glitter and small jewels
And she’s always wearing a necklace and earrings
Shay’s flow is even better than Hunk’s can you believe it
Hunk can
ANYWAY
Shay loves collaborating with others, specifically Hunk and Allura
She’s very loud and boisterous on stage but off stage she’s kind and quiet
Kinda like that friend who’s very meek in public but wild at parties with close friend
Very passionate about her dream
She’s also in charge of keeping everybody on schedule because nobody follows schedules like she does
Sometimes she’ll do small rituals to ensure good luck for performances
They have yet to fail her
At interviews she’s always really peppy and happy to answer questions
One of the fans asked if  she’s dating Hunk
“Oh no, I’m just a rock he admires very much”
The crowd is confused but the group gets it and starts picking fun
Shay bonds with everybody on the team and it’s great
She and Matt talk about space for long periods of time on end it’s crazy
With Shiro it’s how pretty Allura is and how much he wants to fling himself into the sun
Also about the other team members
Allura literally politics and makeup and
Lance it’s Spanish dancing and the ocean
Keith it’s Lance and like random shit
“What if Coran was in a gang”-Keith probably
“Dude,,, we have to investigate”-Shay
Hunk it’s lovey couple stuff and rocks and food and really cool movies
Pidge it’s plans for the next concert
Coran it’s schedules and stories
She loves having such a big and supportive family
Shiro
Bruno Mars. That’s it.
Shiro bops to Bruno Mars like it’s his religion
Wears rolled up sleeves and jeans with sneakers forever
His eyeliner is sharper than everyone elses and he takes pride
Fans eat him up
They love his “dad-like” personality
Sometimes some of them bring him cookies and such backstage
He takes them because who passes up free food??
Seems like dad, is actually 12
Seriously, he causes most of the food fights
And he’s always making bets with Pidge and Matt
But he’s still responsible when needed
He does his own choreography and everything what a man
Once he did a split in the middle of Uptown Funk and everybody lost their shit
Even the group
They just all started laughing while Shiro continues to strut his shit
Shiro’s snapchat is full of videos of him and the team
Half the time he’s screwing around with Matt
Other half he’s posting death jokes
Nobody is phased by this anymore
They’re so used to it
“I want a light to fall from the cieling, knocking me out instantly”
“Yeah Shiro we get it you wanna die now help me stretch”
He probably has the most questions asked at interviews
Most of them are “Will you be my daddy”
“…I’m everybody’s dad”
“But only Allura’s daddy”- Lance
“Say your goodbyes to Lance because he done fucked up, kids”
His favorite album is probably 24k Magic bc he feels fly as fuck
Imagine him proposing to Allura with “Marry You”
Everybody knows except for Allura and she literally sobs when he gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring
It’s epic
Pidge once suggested putting a confetti canon in his prosthetic
Although he would like to Allura said no so-
He still does it anyway
Matt
Matt’s a fucking Meme
He handles booking places and unwanted press
And he co-owns the YouTube Channel with Lance
The place is meme central nobody can believe it
He also has a snapchat and Twitter
Live streams happen every week
Most of the time he’s just screwing around the tour bus/ hotel rooms it’s hilarious really
He dresses like a tired college student all the time it’s great
He’s friends with everybody
With Shiro he’s literally goofing off half the time
They rival Hunk and Lance for best bros of the year
Half time time his story is filled with ugly pictures of Shiro
With Allura he’s spreading Shiro gossip and doing her hair
Lance + Matt = Hardcore memes and suffering
Pidge it’s the normal sibling stuff
He once picked Pidge up and threw her
“Y E E T”
Hunk it’s techno stuff and like animals
Keith it’s sharing stories about Shiro and how he’s not from this planet
They plan “experiments” to expose him for the alien he is
They fail
With Coran he helps to clean everything because these people are pigs it’s terrible
And when he’s with Shay they’re literally memeing together but on a lower scale
He helps her withh her style and stuff
When Pidge is on stage he’s handling the lights and shit
One time he got stuck in the lights for the whole concert
When asked where he was, he fell straight into Shiro’s arms
Shiro dropped him
Makes the most jokes
Coran
Team Aunt
Takes the group out for victory dinners
Buys sweaters for everyone
Let’s you do whatever you want as long as it’s legal
Because he’s a retired dancer he’ll step in sometimes and lend a hand
Cooks when Hunk doesn;t
And it’s not bad
But Hunk is just better sorry Coran
The group’s body guard
Literally he dropkicked a loser for eyeing Pidge the wrong way
“Coran was that necessary”
“Not but, as Lance would say, it was dope”
Groan
He also handles press coverage and makes sure all venues check out before Matt goes to book them
Lance is his favorite and it’s insane
Lance: “Hey Coran can I have like fifty dollars?”
“Of course!!
Allura: “Hey Coran can I borrow 20 dollars”
“Sorry I don’t have any money.”
Will treat everyone to a shoppinf spree every once in a while
Loves everybody like they’re his own and assures parents that they are Okay and In Good hands
Also almost blew up the tour bus and ran like three red lights
Extras
Lance, Shay, and Allura went through a KPop phase
BTS, EXO, GOT7, Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, TWICE, BLACKPINK
They freak out all the time and scream
Meanwhile Keith and Shiro are KPop veterans
“Hah, losers.”
One time they all learned the choreography to “Monster” and posted it to the YouTube channel
Matt sat in the background and screamed random things
Slumber parties all night every night
When they tour they literally get one giant hotel room
Couples each get an hour to themselves throughout the day and then they meet at night to sleep
It’s not even sleeping it’s taking ugly pictures and face masks and nightly rituals and love
They wake up: Shiro, Coran, Shay, Allura, Pidge, Keith, Hunk, Lance, Matt
They go to sleep: Coran, Hunk, Matt, Keith, Lance, Shay, Pidge, Allura, Shiro
Every award they win everyone’s family comes together and they have a very large dinner
The group is called Voltron (how original lmao)
Fans are part of the Voltribe
I’ll add more if I come up with anything else
After almost a year of waiting, residents of Tampa Florida got to finally see the Crazy World Tour. The initial date was set as October 15th, 2017, but due to Scorpions lead singer Klaus Meine coming down with laryngitis, the band had to cancel the last 5 dates of their trek across the states last year.  In the 2017 leg, the supporting band was Megadeth, but with the cancellations and rescheduling, they had to find a different support act for this go round. Enter Queensryche, an American band from Bellevue, Washington.
Queensryche had the privilege of opening this show as the last night of a two week run with the Scorpions. The vocalist, Todd la Torre stated that it was an honor to play shows with their German friends in the Scorpions, whom they have toured with a few times over the years. Todd was by far the most energetic of the entire band and was headbanging and moving all about the stage, as most of the others were fairly stationary. Guitarist, Parker Lundgren, came towards the middle at times and would show off with his best rock poses and stage moves.
Local to the Tampa area, Scott Rockenfield, was showing off his newly built drum kit.  The hardware the held up the cymbals and toms were all made from curved and twisted steel tubing. He had this unique drum kit custom built by SawbladeHead Designs ( http://www.sawbladeheaddesigns.com/ ) in St Petersburg Florida. To me, the drum set was the most eye-catching one I have seen in quite some time and was a fantastic centerpiece to the Queensryche stage.
Once they began the third song, Empire, the crowd woke up as did the band. Much more movement from them all and the fans were singing along loudly. It seemed to me they focused on playing older material that the fans would know better.  I believe they were a great opener and fit the bill nicely.
The five-piece band played to an arena that was fairly empty to start, but steadily growing as more people got to their seats. By the end of their set, it was looking more like a rock show should. People on the floor were standing instead of sitting in the seats, some dancing in the aisles and open area towards the back of the floor.
Queensryche Setlist:
Best I Can The Needle Lies Empire Guardian Silent Lucidity Queen of the Reich Jet City Woman Screaming in Digital Eyes of a Stranger
As the lights dropped inside Amalie Arena, the curtain in front of the stage did as well. The first sounds we could hear were that of a helicopter. Patrons looked around in anticipation, then the video screens came alive with footage of the helicopters they were hearing. Chains were hanging from the digital helicopters, and as the lights came on, we could finally see there were real ones attached to the drummer’s platform. It was as if they lowered him into place to start the show. Drummer Mikkey Dee was the first to appear on stage to a roar from the crowd. Rudolf Schenker emerged next and followed by the rest of the band as they started into Going Out With A Bang. During the guitar solo, the singer grabbed a tambourine and was walking the stage shaking it at everyone in the front row, smiling and happy as can be. The joy he and the rest of the guys had playing was very apparent. As the set continued, the crowd was asked to help sing along more often, specifically to start the third song of the night, Is There Anybody There?.  Vocalist Klaus Meine came out on the catwalk and thrust his microphone out over the crowd hoping to catch some of the sound filling the venue.  I was pretty impressed at how good he sang throughout the whole night. To me, he was hitting all the notes but just sounded a tad bit nasally from allergies. It did not affect his energy or ability to belt out the words at all. I was thinking to myself that if I could be enjoying life and sound as good at he does, at nearly 70 years old, I would be happy.
Send Me An Angel was a nice break in the setlist with the band breaking out acoustic guitars and slowing it down a bit. I loved seeing Rudolf with his signature flying V guitar in an acoustic form, A first for me seeing such a drastic shaped acoustic guitar. From someone who attends a ton of shows each year, it is refreshing to notice different things here and there in shows that aren’t just cookie cutter and “normal”.
The band had recently recruited drummer Mikkey Dee, formerly of Motorhead, and saw it as a perfect opportunity to play a tribute to his former band member, the late Lemmy Kilmister. The video boards in the background showed pictures of Lemmy throughout the years as they played.  Overkill was a great song choice and seemed to surprise most of the crowd. After the conclusion of it, Mikkey played a drum solo, in which his platform raised into the air from the chains dangling from the rafters. Smoke billowed out of the base he was on as if it was a rocket taking off into the sky.
Another interesting thing that I noticed was the guitar played by Rudolf, had a smoke trail coming from it as he ran side to side across the stage during the song Blackout. It was subtle but a cool thing that I have not seen before in all the concerts I have ever attended.
The last 3 songs were the loudest all night from the crowd singing along. Big City nights was one that all the fans were waiting to hear since the band hit the stage.  As the song rang out the band left the stage and everyone cheered relentlessly for them to come back and play longer. When they all reemerged, it got extremely loud and they went right into No One Like You.
As ironic as it is, the final song of the night seemed a little grim due to Florence bearing down on the Carolina’s and causing panic all through the southeast. Regardless, the Scorpions did rock us like a hurricane in the best way possible and concluded the night on an incredible high note.
It is truly impressive that this band has been around for 50 years and still going strong. I could see how much fun they were all having and even at almost 70, how could you not have a blast playing loud rock music to thousands of people singing every word.
Some of the fans who had bought tickets to see the Scorpions were still as excited for it nearly a year and a half after it was first announced back in March of 2017.  With such a long wait, the anticipation was at an all-time high for this show and it was well worth it. Fans leaving the arena afterward were still buzzing and chatting amongst themselves with big smiles on their faces and one even mimicking a guitar solo with an air guitar.
Scorpions Setlist:
Going Out With a Bang Make It Real Is There Anybody There? The Zoo Coast to Coast Top of the Bill / Steamrock Fever / Speedy’s Coming / Catch Your Train We Built This House Delicate Dance Send Me an Angel Wind of Change Tease Me Please Me Overkill (Motörhead cover) Drum Solo Blackout Big City Nights
Encore: No One Like You Rock You Like a Hurricane
From The Pit To The Crowd: The Scorpions with Queensryche – Amalie Arena – September 14, 2018 After almost a year of waiting, residents of Tampa Florida got to finally see the Crazy World Tour.
                                   “NOBODY SAFE TOUR REVIEW”
Atlanta’s very own mainstream artist Future returned to continue his Nobody Safe tour in his hometown at Aaron’s Lakewood Amphitheater on Tuesday night 5/9/2017. I didn’t hear about the event selling out to be honest but it is to be noted that this was Future’s second show following his 5/5/17 show at the same venue the previous Friday. The amphitheater can hold up to 18,920 people at max, although I don’t think that many people came there was a lot of people there in attendance to see the superstar. The seats vary to be honest, if you got the cheapest tickets you would be force to stand on the lawn but although I made a dig that they were cheap tickets, you would probably have the best time on the lawn. The lawn is very care free, festival like feel to it where you meet a lot of people and just get to enjoy one another in the back while watching the artist perform on a big screen. I never been to the lawn but a lot of people I know have and I haven’t heard any complaints to be honest, I on the other end was sitting in section 103 where the section provided chairs but who had the time to be sitting down. My tickets cost about $150 which isn’t bad at all, I think a large thanks to that was it being the second show of Future and that I got a pre-sale ticket before everyone started buying all the tickets and reselling them for an arm and a leg price. If you plan to attend Future tour this year, his opening acts start on time and he’s pretty damn punctual to be a rapper so don’t let your crew slack around thinking you all won’t miss anything. At my particular venue, I had to skip a line where they check tickets because it was just too long for my liking but if you don’t want to put up with being in a long line, you may want to show up awhile earlier because they get pretty long.
All in all, you can tell that Future has made it in this industry the response that he got from his fans while on stage was crazy and the love he received to be able to host two shows within the same week is humbling. The fact that Future came out right at 9 and didn’t have any diva moments and being punctual meant a lot to me, I think that Future is a smart, professional man as well seeing that if he would have gone over the time it would have come out of his paycheck.
CONCERT TIME! Young Thug was his opening act and no I am not kidding, as you all know that Thugga and Future had a little beef once upon a time but that’s dead now. Now I’ve seen Young Thug live once before at the Beyonce show and it was nothing special and it was actually a good time but at this Future show his opening set was BORING AND TRASH! No one really cared to watch Young Thug perform because of his lack of energy, enthusiasm, and drive. I used this time to network with others in my section about the blog and promote myself as a brand since Young Thug obviously got too comfortable with his for him to not be in the zone. Young Thug performed some of his bops which really isn’t worth mentioning because his stage was so dry due to it needing some sort of design and theme but I guess Future wasn’t having that since he was literally going to go on right after. I can admit that I was feeling the “Lifestyle” and it was Thugger closing song on his set, rightfully so. If you want to see Young Thug, 30-minute set then make sure you arrive at the venue at 7pm because the event is going to start on time with or without you. Unfortunately, Migos are becoming bigger and bigger by the second and they were unable to make it to the concert to bless up with their large array of hits but I definitely support them and will see them this year. Future is now the biggest artist that I’ve seen to date as of now just look at that venue capacity and how much that ticket cost. Future performed a set that lasted about an hour and a half so kids if you want your parents to pick you up, 10:30 would be a reasonable time. The stage was super dope, with a big ass screen above him so everyone could see him even if you were on the lawn. It was honestly a simplistic stage no real props on stage that meant anything pertaining to the tour, no theme but he had prop blocks on stage with his name on them which help fill the stage up. My favorite aspect of the stage was the addition of the pyro to the show, every time the pyro signaled off during the show you could feel it instantly get hot while you’re turning up and made the show the performance that much better bringing it to life. “DRACO” opened up the show off the Future album, Draco is a very popular song off the latest album and it wasn’t a bad choice at all, actually a wonderful choice. There was nothing added on special to any of the songs performed but it was great that he had live drums to make the songs pop it was nice to hear how loud these songs could really get with the drums joined the with DJ. Future had stage presence he interacted with the crowd as much as he could from afar and I don’t think he tried his best to intimately to connect with the crowd but he let his music speak for itself. Songs from the album were performed in its entirety or close to it while the hits consisting of, Love Me, Same Damn Time, Bugatti, Jumpman, Shit!, and I can go on and on so let me stop. DJ Eskimo came out and blessed the stage with “Too Much Sauce” it wasn’t nothing special at all just blended well into the show if anything. Future really has a big ass discography sheesh, I didn’t even realize he didn’t perform “Thought it Was A Drought” because he performed other favorites ranging from; Itchin, Lay Up, I’m So Groovy, Super Trapper, Wicked, and once again I can go on and on so let me stop there. He slowed the show down a little bit with the song “Low Life” but that didn’t last long, you could tell he didn’t want to sing much or make this an R&B show. In terms of song arrangements, I was really surprised and impressed at Future performing “Move That Dope” acapella for the crowd and having the DJ hype him up with no audio it was a moment for me during the show. The final leg of his set list he brought out some dancers and I really enjoyed that because even though Future wasn’t boring by himself it really made you feel comfortable dancing along to some of hits now seeing these four men on stage killing choreography. Future really didn’t depend on his playback at all which was greatly appreciated, you could tell that he knew his lyrics and had a good time performing these songs and didn’t feel any pressure or any lack of thereof during the show. I have to thank the DJ for being an amazing hype man. The crowd participation was real, everyone was twerking and rapping along ranging from all of ages, right in front of me was a six-year-old child having the time of his life with his father. The show ended with “Mask Off” the song of the country being performed live and the crowd went crazy and I couldn’t believe that it was the show closer, thought it was a false closer but I was wrong. So when you hear Mask Off you can start making an exit, there’s nothing else after that to be honest which is cool, I just didn’t want the show to end for a second there because I was having such a good time.
I think that it is important to attend a Future concert especially while he is this hot right now in his career. Young or old, you will have a blast rapping and dancing along to Future hottest tracks and you will make plenty of friends because that is the power of music. I didn’t check out the merchandise stand because I was out of money but if you can find it check it out. I would dress comfortable to a Future show because it’s like a festival, the show is really festival vibes with it being a back to back song with no transition or no meaning behind the next song he will perform just throwing out hits which works for him. ATTEND THIS CONCERT, YOU WON’T REGRET IT!
