Northern Lights were really pretty last night. my spouse's camera picked it up better than mine did, but I still think mine turned out good!

Maybe it's just my nearsightedness, but my camera picked up the colors WAY better than my eyes could. However, my eyes could see the lights in the sky better than they showed up on camera.

But Daddy I Love Him!: A Disney Princess Legacy Challenge

I didn't really like any version of the Disney Princess Legacy so I decided to do one myself! I tried not to repeat traits, skills... But sometimes I couldn't figure out, sorry! I also included a color scheme based on the princess. You have to complete the aspiration, career and max the skills, unless stated otherwise. I also included some extra goals!

It's not playtested, so I might make changes as I play. I have an edited lifespan that makes Young Adulthood and Adulthood a little bit longer, but Teenagehood and Childhood shorter. My guess is that you could finish the challenge in normal lifespan, but you also can do it in long or with a custom lifespan, or even turn aging off if you want to! Whatever you want to do!

Also, I had to be quite... Creative in some of the princess descriptions, because their personalities are very similar.

Also, there's not really any general rules. Your heir can be any gender you want (Everyone can be a princess!), if you want to cheat, cheat, if you wanna change something, change it!

In the "Apropos Of Absolutely Nothing" dep't, Recipe Quality Control division...

We have a stack of the below clamp-top storage jars in the kitchen window where we can get at them in a hurry while cooking. Mostly they contain dried fruits or herbs, but some of them are wet preserves of various kinds.

@petermorwood glanced at the pile of jars the other day and started getting one of those thoughtful expressions that spouses everywhere know and dread. "What's in those?" he said. "And is that mold, or something else? You should check."

(Noting with amusement the "You" in "You should check", with the strong implication that he sure as hell wasn't going anywhere near them, lest on opening the contents should, I don't know, leap at his throat or something. Chickennnnnnn...!) 😆

...Anyway. The answer to "what's in those" is "honey-candied apples", from this recipe.

And having just opened the mankiest-looking of the jars, and had one of the apple slices, I can tell you that they are just fine. OMG. (Unfortunately due to my IBS I can't eat many of them. But oh boy are these good.) ...What Peter was seeing was some of the dried-out Demerara sugar associated with the final stages of the candying process, which could possibly be mistaken for mold. From a distance. If you squint. 😏

Also adding here that I'm going to have to revise the estimate of these things' keeping power upwards a bit. The date on the post tells me that this recipe was cooked and photographed in 2022, so "these will keep for at least a couple of months" seems to have understated the case slightly. Which is just fine, as the whole point of them was to render apples shelf-storage friendly in a culture that doesn't have much in the way of casual refrigeration.

So that's all right.

(BTW, for those interested: the handwarmer mug seen in the shot comes from Castle Arch Pottery in Kilkenny city, where we also got some of the dishware we use in food photography for the Food and Cooking of the Middle Kingdoms website/cookbook project. ...The mug's a right-handed one. I don't know if they make a lefty model, but I imagine they could. I should really inquire. It holds a shade more than 500ml / 17 fluid ounces, so if you like a good big mug of tea or coffee, this is for you. And it really does warm the hands nicely in a chilly room...)

Stardew valley rant:

I’ve recently been really getting into the life of spouses after you marry them, because for the majority of them, they kinda just stick at home, occasionally visiting family or friends. And those who do still do stuff, it never changes. Maru always works with Harvey at the clinic, Emily always works for Gus at the saloon, nothing really changes in their lives besides a new, much more sedentary lifestyle. I really would like for the spouses to get new hobbies and stuff when they marry you, so here’s my little ideas/headcannons, bachelorettes first!

Abigail: She begins to work on her adventuring skills in the mines and you’ll find her on every fifth floor, going further and further. She’ll give you gems from her travels, and eventually, when she reaches the bottom of the mines, she’ll start going to the skull caverns where she’ll give you iridium and the occasional prismatic shard. Something cool that could happen would be the addiction of an elevator to the skull caverns as she travels further down, every 25 floors. She would also become a member of the adventurer’s guild and serve as Marlon’s apprentice, taking over the guild on some days or opening a branch in the Calico desert that she mans sometimes.

Maru: Maru never really branches out beyond her personal inventions, so I think there could be a quest where she asks you for a new wing of the house that she could use as a workshop. This wing would be constructed by Robin, would be unlocked at 20 hearts, and would cost 750,000 gold, 250 hardwood, 10 iridium bars and 10 battery packs. Then, you could accept quests from Maru every once in a while and unlock new inventions that she made that would increase qol. Maybe she could give you a crafting recipe for auto-petters, she could make a device that automatically plants grass in meadows for your animals, a machine that can increase the quality of items by using a resource or something, the possibilities are endless!

Penny; Penny is always caring for the children of the valley, and I think it would be great if when you marry her, like Maru, you eventually get a quest that allows you to build a school for the kids, possibly utilizing the space to the left of the community center. Maybe then we could have another mini-festival where you can see the children of stardew valley show off their work, maybe unlock a “Talent Show” cutscene where Jas, Vincent, and Leo show off their skills fr. This idea is more underwhelming than my first two and could definitely be improved.

Emily: I think as you progress your post marital relationship with Emily you could help her convince Sandy to move to the valley and have someone else take over the Oasis, learning Sandy’s real name, unlocking special cutscenes with her, etc. I also feel like Emily would have a little workshop where she makes clothes and you could unlock a system where she takes your gems and a clothing item and combines them, giving your clothes a buff, like combining Topaz with a shirt gave the shirt a +1 defense buff, etc. Emily could even start a clothing line and you could gift these clothes to townspeople and get new sprites and portraits for them :D

Haley: After marriage, Haley does literally nothing but see Emily once a week. This needdsss to change, so I think she could discover her passion for photography again and start a blog about the valley, which would unlock a building to the right side of the Bus Stop: the Tourist Center. You could open a tourist center with Haley and occasionally get tourists that come to the valley, similar to the tourists at the Stardew Valley Fair. These tourists could roam around the town for a bit, and you could unlock new dialogue with the townspeople about the tourists, like “These tourists are really boosting the community economy!”

(Cc specific) Leah: Leah would start hosting art classes in the community center every Wednesday! Every month, the group of people who decided to attend could make a new painting that could be hung up in the community center, orrrr you could unlock a new building between the Blacksmith and the Movie Theater/JojaMart, where you could see the different art pieces and could have a new festival, the stardew valley fine arts conference, where the Famous Painter Lupini could host a talk with the artsy people from the valley and Zuzu City, and you could get new clothing items, a cutscene, dialogue, new paintings and sculptures, etc.

So for a career we can look at both Natal and Midheaven Persona chart.

When looking at a NATAL chart:

check your Sun sign and placement with aspects and degree: this shows who you are trying to become in this lifetime, but also on which themes, topics in your life there will be spotlight or they will be highlighted. For example Sun in the 5th house: you could transform a hobby into a full-time career, work in education, politics or public speaking or with young adults, event planning/organising. If you have Sun at a Pisces degree: you might end up working in a gallery, museum or hospital or you might work with photography or be in front of the camera (such as work online, having your own broadcasting channel).

check Saturn: this also likely points to your workplace, work position, job at any point in your life. Such as Saturn in the 12th house or Pisces Saturn could end up working in a hotel. You might work with pets if you have Sun in the 6th house.

check Mars: this ALSO points to job position at any given point, period in your life. Pisces Mars could end up working in a resort. Chemistry with her co star 🥵 … yes it’s palpable…nothing has changed since day 1…absolutely no need to hide it.

They don’t …they can flirt, kiss. Fans know they are happily married to other people but still love watching the chemistry. No blurred lines, it’s just there to enjoy.

They don’t need to be cagey or have minders! They are able to be their authentic self. Doesn’t it make you smile? So what if they want to stop an interview for a hug…no one stops them it’s all good.

They all hang out, families intertwined…it’s so lovely to see.

This is so refreshingly normal.

There are so many shows out there that give you fun regular content, shared by everyone on the cast. It’s not just released 5 mins before a launch or for set anniversaries. It’s not just done by one member of the cast….its not pre recorded months in advance and directed within an inch of its life.

911 wins the gold medal in my view. They love their fans, each other and it shows. Sooo much fun! ❤️

Some shows can produce a season a year with many episodes…what pandemic? What writers strike? you know shows that are complex with many stunts, special effects and guest stars.

Some shows can even launch another in the franchise without stopping their own show, never mind splitting a season into different years!

This is normal behaviour. It’s not that hard for some.

So when the opposite of the above is done in another show, well it just leaves you wondering why all the control, bullshit and games but most importantly total disregard for fans!

So Outlander… you think you could have done better?

So when’s S8 RELEASE date again? …well google states a vague mid to late 2025.🙄🥱

This is one of my first works and English is not my first language but I still tried I hope you enjoy :)

YANDERE ENMU X GN! READER (part 1)

Demons and humans are like oil and water, they simply don’t mix.

Demons feast on humans, they are considered heartless creatures that will eat anything and absolutely anything when they are hungry. Parents, siblings, spouses , everyone they can get to.

There was never really a time where a demon had any interest in a human partners. The only one with a human as their wife was muzan kibutsuji himself ,and even then there was no real love.

The human woman and child were nothing more than a simple disguise to not get caught by the slayers as quick.

That was the only time when a demon married a human up until now.

you lived alone ,often wishing you had some company therefore you got yourself a puppy.

The puppy was an adorable chow chow by the name of Rosie, you loved Rosie like she was your child but still couldn’t help but crave the company and touch of something…more human.

Yes you did have some friends but they weren’t very good to you,always leaving you out and ignoring you, but atleast you still had your precious Rosie, and some pretty cool hobbies.

You were a very creative individual enjoying arts and crafts, one of your favourites was photography.

Absolutely loving photography meant you had your own camera, which took a while to save up for but now that you have it you’re the happiest, whenever you couldn’t sleep or were just bored your go to hobby was to go outside to capture the beauty of the world, and that’s what you were going to do right now.

You were currently walking around with Rosie and the camera in hand taking pictures of things like flowers, plants, insects or really anything that had caught your attention or you thought was worth capturing with your camera.

As you were taking your hundredth picture of some flowers all of a sudden Rosie starts looking around before running somewhere while barking.

“Hey! Rosie, come back where are you going?!”

You called out to your beloved puppy to come back but with no avail, she kept on running with her short paws.

Obviously you start chasing after your beloved companion like anyone would, and just as Rosie stops you see how scared she looks, she seems to be looking at a house. Their lights were on, strange…At this time at night?

But well you simply assumed they had the same issue as you and just weren’t able to sleep and looked at Rosie.

“Come on baby let’s go back home now…and don’t run away like that again…”

You lean down to pet the dog before starting to walk back into the direction of your house with Rosie walking at your side still clearly distraught and your precious camera in hand. But there was something you did not quite realise.

The people in that house just so happened to be a demons meal that night. And that demon was outside in the bushes and he seen you, he looked at you and watched your every move and something about you made him want to see more of you.

So while you are walking back with your furry friend you don’t realise there is a little someone following you, well of corse Rosie notices and keeps on barking but you just dismiss it as her wanting to go back to check that house.

Once you arrive back at your comfortable home ,you take fix Rosie’s blanket she usually rests on before petting her and saying goodnight. Then you lay comfortably in your futon and close your tired eyes.

While yours are closed you don’t realise there is a pair watching you and your precious dog.

The sliding door of your house gets slightly open, which obviously you don’t hear as you are asleep and a pair of blue eyes peeks in with Kanji inside saying ‘lower one’ .

“Hm?…it’s them~”

The figure behind the door says just as Rosie starts barking, notifying you of the intruder.

You wake up and look at her and notice she is asleep and look around to see no one there. And of corse you’re extremely tired after being awakened from your sleep so you lay back down and close your eyes once again, falling asleep quickly.

The figure re-enters and goes inside this time. He then sits in front of your futon and watches you sleep.

He tucks your hair behind your ear before a faint smile appears on his face showing off his sharp fangs he was using to tear apart those humans in the house…and yet he didn’t want to do that to you, not yet at least.

He just continues staring before speaking In soft voice

“You’re an interesting human~”

“…”

“Hm?…

“You’re not waking up?…that’s strange..well you must be having a really good dream then~ you humans are so silly…”

He leans closer to your face and looks at your peaceful expression

“You look so cute and peaceful I want to ruin it..”

The figure said with a hint of sadism in his voice and a slight giggle after ,before getting up and leaving

“You’re an interesting human…I will be back ~”

He stands up and walks out leaving your door wide open, because he couldn’t care less about being respectful. He was a demon he didn’t care for some mere humans wishes and what they think is acceptable or not.
