Hi all!

I haven’t been around very much lately as I entered the 9th month of pregnancy and between the last burst of work and my swollen hands, I’ve barely been able to follow the last few races.

If anyone is interested, I do have a major life update! Last Friday, right after I finished my last surgery - just hours after I closed my last patient on the operating table - my ever so considerate little parasite decided that it was his time to shine! My contractions started 2 hours into my maternity leave (there goes my shopping and spa plans for the 2 weeks before his due date! 😂).

By 2 am, I realized that I was in active labour. I arrived at the hospital at 4:30 am and he was born just past 9 am local time on Saturday, just as Qualifying was getting underway in Singapore! So even though my vroom vroom meow meows didn’t quite have their best day, he decided to make up for it by being P1 in my heart. 😍

His due date was supposed to be September 30 (Max’s birthday!), but he decided to show up 2 weeks early on September 16 instead - or as I jokingly said to my hubby (as he realized that we would miss Qualifying 🤣): September for Max and the 16th for Charles. 🥰The obstetrician and nurses were impressed by his speediness and efficiency. 😜 I barely had time to get an epidural…

Anyways, my hands might be extra tied up now (he’s cooing in my lap as I type this), but sending you guys all my love! 💙❤️

This is a super hard question because there’s so so so much good content as far as fanfiction and just asdfghjkl it’s tough to limit it to just a few SO I will do a top 5 bc I have no self control

1) Method to Madness by @fraugwinska: one of my very first Hazbin reader fics by my very dear friend Frau, this fic is absolutely beautiful and just continues to get better! Everyone is characterized so so so well, the premise and execution constantly has me on the edge of my seat, the smut scenes are phenomenal, and Frau writes Alastor so perfectly 🤌 everything by her is wonderful, she is truly one of my favorite writers for this fandom as well as being a very good friend, but this fic in particular has a special place in my heart 💕

2) The Lookalike by @impale-me-radio-daddy: this fic did things to me. I think I've shared every chapter of it as it was posted but in case I wasn't clear, it's fucking amazing. The banter, the reader character, the smut scenes- perfection. All of it. I rest my case 📺📻 (pst they are also working on a new RadioStatic fic that has lots of fun dream shenanigans, keep an eye out 👀)

3) Bluest Monday/Say Hello, Wave Goodbye by @bapple117: I was not a RadioStatic girl before Bluest Monday but the way Bapple writes these two together is crack. The slow exploration of their relationship and how it changed from what was originally intended is gorgeous. I cried, I have no shame about it. And the continuation of everything in Say Hello, Wave Goodbye has been going wonderfully and I can't wait to see where everything goes 🩵❤️

4) What’s Your Frequency, Baby? by @elleinmotion: my first real Vox fic and the one that got me down bad for our favorite Samsung 😍 the way that they write him is just asdfh so delicious, in literally every way, the reader character is also an absolute babe with so much depth and I'm so so so in love with the story, especially now that Alastor is involved as well 👀 I want to somehow bake this fic into a lasagna and eat it

5) Scratch an Itch by @jurijyuu: another one of my first reader fics! The premise of this one was a little more gorey than I would normally get into (antler shedding and unknowing cannibalism, anyone?) but I'm so glad I took a chance with it because its SO GOOD and just like the rest, it just continues to get better 🦌 another dear friend and super talented writer that this fandom has brought to me 💗

I believe Taylors Forbes interview with Jeff Conway was a pretty good insight into who he is as a person. Long time fans already know some of these things but for someone who is reading a TZP interview for the first time, it's a very insightful and beautiful piece. Don't get me wrong and an interview is still a very public thing and we only get to read the things the interviewee has decided to share. But Taylor seems so genuine and what he said here goes along the lines of what he said in the past and what kind of a person we know him to be. Plus I always enjoy reading interviews that ask intelligent questions that dig a little deeper and makes someone share more than the surface level stuff. I'm posting my favorite parts here:

Love how at a young age Taylor met famous people and realized what kind of person to not be and what kind of person he should to be to others. Bless his heart for this. He was very perceptive, always.

He understands how stardom is sometimes completely dependent on fate and he realizes his privileges.

He loves learning the ways famous actors bring life to a character, he cherishes their shared moments 🥰 he appreciates people who appreciate the art!

Taylor Zakhar Perez, I'm legit taking notes. Love you! And he always always mentions his family ❤️

The part that absolutely made me bawl.

I got to the part "... she didn't get to watch it" and completely lost it, I legit closed the door to my room and sobbed for 10 minutes. Only people who has lost a loved one would know and understand the pain and grief associated with it. I can only hope that Taylor can transform that into inspiration.

I've brainstormed that a bit with Sam and we came to the conclusion that, even if Bucky acts like a golden retriever when around Gale, he'd probably shift into a German Shepherd, his fur has strands of sand color but is mostly black, like this

"[German Shepherds] form gentle relationships with their family members but defend courageously. Highly intelligent herders, the German Shepherd is able to learn skills and commands for a wide variety of purposes, and they carry themselves with confidence and focus. They are eager to please and great for owners who like to get things done."

This is so Bucky to me, he loves to cuddle with Gale and will whine if Gale goes somewhere without him but he's really gentle too, even if he can roughhouse a bit, he's always very careful not to hurt Gale. Also I have a bit of a soft spot for German Shepherds because my grandparents had one when I was a child and I loved him so 🥹

And no, all vampires cannot shapeshift! The way I've created this AU is that vampires don't have blood but some sort of poison that may act like blood but effectively kills all of their organs except their brain. But the poison reacts differently to everyone, hence not everyone having the same power, even if there are some basics. For example, every vampire has superhuman strength but the degree of that strength can vary, same goes for their enhanced senses.

John can shapeshift into a dog and fly but he doesn't have supernatural speed or any ability to teleport. He's also only able to shapeshift into a dog, he cannot choose the appearance of the animal he turns into- so no bat!Bucky.

Cue to him scoffing when he shifts for the first time in front of Curt and learns he shifts into a German Shepherd because really ? He still has a bit of trauma from those dogs because of the Stalag so it feels a bit like a joke at first but the fact that he cannot see his reflection helps him forget, and a few decades in, he truly enjoys being able to run so freely.

But even when he isn't in his dog form, he still has dog instincts, mainly leaving his scent on every clothes of Gale he can, rubbing against his neck to mark his territory lmao

That was a bit long and definitely a bit off track so I apologize but I just have so much to say about this AU 😭

Weekend Update 03/03/2024

Hello! This update will be a bit shorter than others. Due to school and other things I haven't written or read as much as I normally do. In fact, I'll need to push back one of my series because the outline for it doesn't look right at all. 🥸 I'm feeling more moody and my smut fairy is back. Not that I can't write fluff, it's just in shorter bursts. To sum up:

Two Hearts by the Ocean will be delayed by a week or two (hopefully I can get the outline to cooperate with ideas).

Roc & Doc is updated less regularly so it's not affected.

March Spring Prompts are ongoing. I've been keeping them under 1k so shouldn't be any issues there. I did several of them ahead of time so I'm working on the last 2/3's of the month. I think. There's 10 or 11 done currently. Ugh math.

Florida Heat and Foul Play are both smut so they're safe.

Weddings 101 with Dieter should be fine as well considering what I planned for the next chapter. Not sure when it will be out.

The Lake between us is still on schedule. (Out later today I believe and then bi-monthly.)

Diddle Disco Dieter is being beta read, so maybe this week.

Follow up to a Din Djarin one shot I did still pending. It doesn't have the right feel yet.

A/n: Leia’s been in school for a couple of months! You have something important to ask Bradley. You are so nervous! I hope it goes well! 🫣 Leia also learns some stuff from Daddy Brad 😉 This part will start a series of Bradley’s POV 😘

A couple of months flew by. You were working every day again since Leia started going to school. You would drop her off before you went to work and Bradley would pick her up and bring her back home. It was a scheduled routine. It worked so well. But then you were notified by work that you would have to attend a convention in Florida for a few days. You invited Bradley over to let him know. 

“Bradley, I didn’t mean to throw something like this on you so soon.” You were bouncing around the kitchen preparing after-school snacks for the three of you.

Bradley was leaning over the counter eating some grapes out of the snack bowl.

“Sweetheart, why are you apologizing? This is for work, it’s your job.” 

You sighed, “I know, but I feel bad for having to ask you to take care of Leia on your own for the next few days.” You set all the snacks down on the tray.

“Y/n/n. I will be okay. Leia will be okay. It’s okay!” He kept eating the grapes.

You snatched the grape bowl from him to put more in, “How are you going to do it with work?”

Bradley sighed, “Baby, Mav can help me. That man creates his own schedule. He can come when I have to leave at 4 AM and take her to school. I will pick her up.” 

“And the days you have to stay?” You added more grapes into the bowl and turned to him.

Bradley picked up a couple of chocolate-covered pretzels and put them in his mouth, “Baby, I’m sure Papa Mav would not have any issue hanging out with her for a day.” 

You lunged toward him and scoffed. You placed the grapes onto the tray and swiped it away and placed the tray on the table before he ate everything on it, “Bradley, but what happens when you want to do what you want to do? You can’t just throw it on Mav?” 

Bradley dropped his head and walked over to you. He rubbed your arms and let out a hard sigh, “Sweetheart, it is a few days. What is it like 3 days?”

You shook your head and ate a grape, “Try 5, Bradley.”

His eyes widened, “Now you’re asking for an arm and leg, sweetheart.” He laughed. “No, baby. I can refrain back from wanting to hang out with the group so I can spend time with my daughter. Any day, all day. She comes first.”

You looked at him with worried puppy eyes and continued to eat grapes. He put his hand over the grape before you could put it into your mouth. He pushed it down and smiled at you. With his other hand, he tucked some of your flyaways behind your ear.

“Baby, can you just trust me that she will be well taken care of? Plus, she has the whole squad to look after her as well.” He kissed your forehead and hugged you. 

“I’m screwed.” You groaned and threw your head back. He chuckled into your hair and held you tight. You looked up at him with more worry, “I can just ask Bri to watch her.” 

Bradley grabbed your cheeks and brought your face to his, “She has done well over enough for Leia. You both need a break, babe! I got this. I promise!”

You closed your eyes and sighed, “Fine.” You kissed him and called Leia over for snack time. 

Later that evening you started to pack your travel bag. You were going to drive to LA that night for your flight. You wanted to get to Florida as soon as possible to sleep, so you could have a day to relax. You wanted to be fresh for the convention the following morning. Once you loaded your bag into your car, you said your goodbyes. 

You held onto Leia and gave her a million kisses, “Be good baby. If you need anything you call me. I love you so much, Leia. I'll see you when I get back okay? Have fun with, daddy. Don’t give him too much of a hard time.” You pinched her cheek and gave her a kiss. 

You stood up and hugged Bradley, “Thank you so much. I love you, Bradley.” He kissed the top of your head, “Always baby. Be safe. I love you. Let me know when you’re there.” You got into your car and waved goodbye to them as you pulled out from the driveway. 

Bradley’s POV

I brought Leia back into the house to get her things together. After everything was packed, we loaded the Bronco.

Leia looked around my car, “Daddy you have a super rad car.” 

I buckled her into her booster. “Thank you, baby.” I kissed her head. 

We got to my house and I brought her inside. “Wow, daddy! Your house is super big!” She roamed around while I brought in her bags. When I put down her final bag she came running over to me spinning in circles. She bumped into my butt and I turned around and looked down at her. She smiled up at me, “Can I have a snack?” 

I showed Leia to the kitchen. I picked her up and sat her on the counter, “What do you feel like having?” 

She thought for a little bit tapping her finger on her lips. “Can I have my favorite snack?” 

I nodded, “What is your favorite snack, baby?”  

“A toasted PB&J.” She smiled with her teeth and leaned forward.

I was shocked, “A toasted PB&J!? That’s my favorite snack too, baby.” I turned around and started to gather the condiments and bread. I set it up next to her, “Crust or no crust?” I started to open the jar of jelly and peanut butter. 

“I actually like the crust, but I also really like uncrustables. Mommy doesn’t really buy them anymore, so I eat the crust. But since I'm super hungry, I wanna have the crust.” 

I smiled at her elaboration of crust. I started to slab on the peanut butter, “Crust it is.” I started to put jelly on the other half. “Do you wanna learn how to make uncrustables at home, sweetheart?” I put the slices of bread together. 

“But how can you even do that, daddy?” She was curious.

I went and grabbed the toaster and plopped the sandwich in.

“Well baby, you just cut it into whatever shape you want and you smash the ends of it so the jelly and peanut butter doesn’t come out.” 

She looked at me amazed, “Can you teach me tomorrow for after-school snack time?” 

I nodded. The sandwich came up from the toaster and I let it cool. As it was cooling I played rock, paper scissors with Leia. She won all 5 matches. I may have let her win…. I placed her sandwich on a plate and she devoured it. 

“Here daddy, you have the last bite.” She put the last quarter bit of the sandwich to my lips. 

I looked at her with raised brows, “Are you sure?” 

She nodded, “You said to always share, remember?” She smiled.

“But you were hungry, sweetheart. I made it for you.” I leaned back slightly. 

She shook her head and pushed the sandwich to my lips. “Say awww!” She opened her mouth wide.

I laughed, “Awww.” I took a small bite and let her finish the rest. 

After she finished her snack, she helped me clean up and put everything away. We went over to the couch. I sat down and threw my arm over the top cushions. Leia stood in front of me giving me a small curious smile. She pointed at the spot next to me and raised her brows. I smiled and patted the space next to me, “Let’s watch a movie and relax before bed, sweetheart.” 

She jumped into the space next to me, “What should we watch?”

“We can watch whatever you want, Leia.” She nuzzled into me. We relaxed on the couch while she thought about it. Leia was slouched over, laying into my ribs. 

She tapped her finger on her lips and squinted her eyes as she thought. I looked down at her and patted her head. She looked up at me, “What’s your favorite Disney princess, baby?”

“Mmmm. I don’t know any.” 

I looked at her with wide eyes, “You don’t know any Disney princesses!? What!? Does your mom have you under a rock?”

She giggled, “Oh I lied! I know Belle from Beauty and the Beast! That’s Auntie Bri’s favorite! I dance to the song with Uncle Billy!”

I laughed, “How about we browse all the Disney princess movies and you pick the one that stands out to you?” 

“Okay!” 

I started to flip through the movies on the Disney app. She stopped me at The Little Mermaid.

“I wanna watch that one, daddy! I like mermaids!” She was so excited.

I kissed the top of her head while I pushed play, “Anything for you, sweetheart.”

After a while of cuddles and watching the movie, Leia tilted her back and looked up at me, “So what is your call sign, daddy?”

I continued to watch The Little Mermaid, “My call sign is Rooster, sweetheart.”

Leia got up and looked at me, “Like a bird?”

I looked at her and smiled, “Yes like a bird, baby.” I laughed.

Leia furrowed her brows, “Why a bird?”

“Because what flies better than a bird, baby?” 

“Ooooohhh. Can I have a call sign too, daddy?” She flashed MY puppy dog eyes at me.

“Man, your mom was right, those things are irresistible.” I poked her in between her eyebrows. She laughed at me. “Of course, you can have one, baby.” 

She was thinking, “Can I be ‘little chick’? So I can be a bird like you? I wanna fly like you and Mav!” 

I laughed, “Baby you don’t get to pick your call sign, you get it from your squadron.” I brushed and smoothed her hair out, “You wanna fly like Mav and I?” She nodded. 

Then she got sad and looked at me. “You mean people like…” She counted on her fingers as she named them off, “Phoenix, Bob, Coyote, Hangman, Fanboy, Payback, Cyclone, Warlock, Hondo, and Mav have to give me a call sign?”

I patted her cheek, “Exactly, my smart girl.” 

She sighed loudly, “Well can they come over now? So I can get one?” Puppy dog eyes again.

I shook my head at her, “You have to go to school tomorrow. It is too late for them to come over. Maybe tomorrow after school?” I raised my eyebrows at her. 

She lit up, “Please!” 

“Okay, but right now, you have to get to bed. Mav will be here in the morning to take you to school, okay?” 

She nodded and ran for the bedroom. Then she came running back and leaped into me, “Good night, daddy. I love you. Thank you.” She gave me a kiss and ran back to her room.

“Damn, I am one lucky guy.” I chuckled to myself and continued to watch The Little Mermaid. 

The next day at work the squad and I were down on the tarmac cleaning up our planes.

“Hey guys, so Leia talked about getting a call sign.” 

“Is she a bird like you, Rooster?” Coyote came over to me.

Hangman looked over at me from behind his plane, “What did you give her?”

“I didn’t give her one. She asked if you all would come over today and decide one for her.”

Phoenix stopped wiping her plane, stepped out in front, and yelled, “Well, I think that’s a great idea.” 

Payback and Fanboy walked over to us, “What’s going on now?”

Bob came down from the ladder on his and Phoenix’s plane, “Rooster is asking if we could come over today to give Leia a callsign.”

Payback nodded and chuckled, “Yea that sounds perfect! We just have to make sure she doesn’t end up with something like Bob.”

We all started laughing.

Bob rolled his eyes and shook his head, “Jerks.” 

Fanboy patted bob on the back, “Don’t worry Floyd, Bob suits you.”

Bob furrowed his brows and looked at Fanboy, “I don’t know if that’s a compliment or if I should be offended.” 

Mav came over and placed his hands on his hips, “Leave the guy alone, everyone.” He came over to me, “Hey, Rooster. Leia made it to school on time today. She wanted me to tell you she loves you.” He smiled and patted me on the back.

“Thanks again, Mav. Hey, we are all gathering up tonight at my house. If you guys all want to come over. We are gonna give Leia her honorary call sign. Invite the superiors if you’d like.” 

He slapped me on my back, “We all wouldn’t miss that. We will be there. I’m dragging them along whether they like it or not. This is Leia’s callsign. I’ll see you tonight.” He started to walk away but stopped, “Hey, Hey Bradley. Do you need anyone to pick up Leia?” 

“No, I’ll get her. Thanks, Mav.” Mav chuckled and nodded slowly.

I looked at my watch, “Oh shit! It’s 10 til.” I dropped my rag and ran off the tarmac.

Mav stopped walking and looked over to all the other aviators, “I had a feeling he lost track of time.” He continued to walk and shook his head.

I rushed to the school. It was a 15-minute drive from the base. “Shit! I’m going to be late!” I was trying my best to get through the traffic. I finally pulled up to the school. I jumped out of the bronco and ran to Leia’s classroom. I got to her classroom and she was sitting there with her teacher. 

“Hey baby girl, I’m sorry. Work ran a little late.” I was out of breath. 

She ran to me and jumped into my arms, “Daddy, you’re in your flight suit!” She giggled. 

I kissed her on the head, “I know sweetheart. I’m so sorry.” I held her close.

Her teacher came up to me, “Mr….” She looked at my flight suit, “Rooster?”

I stuck my hand out to shake hers, “No, ma’am. I’m sorry, it is a call sign. I am Mr. Bradshaw.”

She smiled up at me, “I have a boy who is a pilot, maybe you’ll know him? I know a call sign when I see one.” She shook my hand and laughed. “But as you may know Mr. Bradshaw, pick-up time is strictly 2 PM.” She looked down at her watch, “It is now 2:25. Please be weary and be on time.” She smiled at me and patted my back.

Leia loudly whispered, “It’s Lieutenant Bradshaw, daddy.” She giggled and winked at me. I put my fingers to my lips signaling to be quiet. I smiled and shook my head at her. 

I walked closer to her teacher, “I understand that ma’am. It won’t happen again. Thank you for watching her until I got here.” 

She nodded to me, “You’re welcome, LIEUTENANT.” She looked at Leia and pointed to her with a mischievous look.

Leia slapped her hand over her mouth and looked at me. Her eyes were wide and she started to giggle again, “I think she heard me, daddy.” 

We started to walk away, “You are going to get both of us in trouble, sweetheart.” We laughed on the way to the car. 

On the way home, we sang some songs together, she talked about school and what Mav made her for lunch.

“Daddy, when will I be able to get a rad call sign?”

I looked at her in the rearview mirror, “The squad is coming over tonight, sweetheart.” I adjusted my mirror so it was on her, “You’ll get your rad call sign tonight. So just be you, baby girl.”

She nodded, “Noted, Rooster!”

I glared at her playfully through the rearview mirror, “Hey! That’s daddy to you! Not Rooster!” I laughed.

“Okay…Daddy Rooster.” She put her hands over her mouth. “Bradley Rooster!” I shook my head at her, “Lieutenant Bradley Rooster Bradshaw!” 

I finally pulled into the driveway. “How dare you mock my name!” I reached into the back and started to tickle her, “Okay, baby come on we have to get ready for the squad to come over.”

You took her out of the car. She saluted you, “Yes sir, Daddy Rooster, Sir!” She ran into the house. I watched her as she disappeared into the house. 

“That girl is gonna give me a run for my money. Just like her mom.” I smiled and slung her backpack over my shoulder and continued into the house.

I got into the house and Leia was sitting at the piano. She was pushing random keys on it. I closed the door and placed her backpack on the floor by the door. I went over to the piano and sat with her. “What are you playing, babe?” I watched her press random keys.

“I don’t know how to play this, but I like the way it sounds.” She was fascinated with it. She looked up at me and smiled, “Can you play it?” She looked at me with big curious eyes. 

I kissed her forehead, “I can, baby. Do you want me to teach you?” She nodded quickly. I scooted over to the middle of the bench and picked her up to place her in my lap. I did a little warm-up to get my hands ready. Leia leaned back into my chest. “This is a song my dad and your papa Mav taught me. I taught your mom a little bit and I’m going to teach you. How’s that sound, sweetheart?” She nodded and looked up at me. I looked down at her and kissed her head. “Okay baby, put your hands on mine.” She rested her hands on top of mine. 

I slowly started to play Great Balls of Fire, “You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain. Too much love drives a man insane. You broke my will, but what a thrill. Goodness gracious, great balls of fire.” 

We continued to play slowly together. After a while of singing it, Leia caught on. I would nudge her slightly and she would sing the familiar chorus with me, “Goodness gracious great balls of fire.” I nodded as she caught on. 

“Good job, sweetheart. You sing so beautifully.” I get her a high-five. 

“Can we sing it again?” She looked up at me.

I kissed her nose, “Of course, we can. We can sing it however many times you want, baby.”

We played and sang it together again. This time Leia took the reins and sang it confidently. 

“Goodness gracious great balls of fire!”

I thought it was quite a unique take to show a couple not being on the same page around starting a family, and it was something I related to a lot for personal reasons. However. However. Then out of the blue I felt ready to read read kidfic, having not really wanted to before. I read @welcometololaland's series Self Control? I Don't Know Her and @three-drink-amy's Teach You How Forever Feels and @ladytessa74's Elijah Verse and @bonheur-cafe's Pour me a cup (or two or three) and now I am obsessed with them becoming dads. Obsessed. I just really want it to happen. It's amazing the impact that fic can have. Everything I linked is so compelling and I just love it!

Honestly, I've had quite a major dip in confidence for a while now because of work. I feel like the job has grown way beyond my intelligence level and I'm scrambling up the learning curve like someone running along a bridge that is falling away behind them. It's getting me down! Also I guess it goes without saying but season 5 of 911 LS and the excitement but also trepidation about plotlines and things! Also I don't love my hair right now.

Emi in Japan (2024) – Day 2/Day 3

Hey guys,

Gosh but I’ve been so busy! There’s so much to do for such a little town. Then again, I do have a lot of connections here😁

On Day 2, I went to the local 7/11 to buy brekkie…but also to say hi to the cuuuuutest dog who chills there every morning😍❤️. I’m friends with the owner’s family so I easily found out her name, which is Tasha. She looks like a border collie but I think she’s just a mutt🤔

Anyway! I met her on Day 1 when I arrived and just about fell in love. She’s so sweet and absolutely loooves belly rubs. I couldn’t wait to see her after that, but when I did go again, she was already being pet by other customers…a heartbreaker, that one is😔💔

For lunch, I visited I-san (not her real name), who is an old lady I befriended in 2022 when I was living here as my grandpa’s caretaker. She had a cat named Nyanko-sensei, who saw me reading in the next door park, and ran to my side for pets😍❤️

Unfortunately, Nyanko-sensei passed away last year after a long battle with mouth cancer😢. I-san has been sad ever since because she raised him from when he was small enough to fit in her palm. He was her baby. When we reunited, she hugged me and cried and thanked me for the photos of Nyanko-sensei I sent her earlier in the year. I also saw her calendar, which had my name written on it😭❤️. How sweet.

I-san was busy cleaning her place, so I went to have lunch without her at the local restaurant, run by a former English teacher, his wife and mother-in-law. I first went here in 2019 and have frequented this place every time I come back. The English teacher always loves it when I visit because he loves to practice his English. His wife was my mum’s classmate in primary school. Small town and all that.

Anyway, I had the tonkatsu set. Soooo yummy!

Afterwards, I visited I-san again. We had tea and ice cream together as I listened to her talk about Nyanko-sensei and life. She cried multiple times when talking about Nyanko-sensei, it broke my heart. Told me how she holds his urn every night and talks to him and cries😢💔

But she shared some good times about him too and we had a lot of laughs. Sometime soon, she’s going to let me wear her kimono that she wore for her coming of age, which was 64 years ago😱! I’ve never worn a kimono before, only yukata, so I’m very excited and honoured🥰❤️

For dinner, two of my mum’s friends came over…AND TWO DOGS, JILL AND TOM😍❤️❤️❤️

They’re both toy poodles. Jill is 9 years old. Tom is four months and they’ve only had him for three weeks. Jill, old lady that she is, cannot stand Tom’s puppy energy lol. But they were both absolute daaaarlings during dinner🥰❤️! For some reason, Jill really went to town on cherry tomatoes and shaved daikon lol. Granny likes her veggies!

Now, onto day 3, which is today!

For breakfast, I had potato chips lol. Afterwards, I went to 7/11 to print photos of Nyanko-sensei for I-san and stared longingly at Tasha as two high school boys rubbed her belly instead of me. Then I went to pick up I-san for lunch. She was all dressed up! Adorable. She said my messy bun would be perfect for when I wore the kimono lmao.

We had lunch at the same place I went on Day 2, since it's only a few minutes walk away and she goes there multiple times a week anyway. I gave her the photos and she was absolutely delighted. While we ate, she talked a lot of nature, and was joyful at the sight of the butterflies working hard to help the plants grow. She hopes her cucumbers will grow soon.

Afterwards, I went home because I had to work on uni stuff, blergh. I sprinted with my friends of the FAW Server who helped me get through it. Even when my American friends went to bed, I kept going. I called it a day when it reached 8pm. Btw, I started at like 12:30 lol which is pretty crazy even for me.

I did have dinner in between, though. My mum prepared me the leftover curry from Day 1 and also made some wonton soup. It was very yum. Then we chatted away until it was bedtime. It's been nice spending time with my mum like this, especially since our relationship has deteriorated as I've gotten older. I hope we have more times like this.

I'm so excited for tomorrow! I'm going to meet a fandom friend in Tokyo. This'll be my second time meeting a fandom friend IRL, since @runetari was my first. Tari and I became friends in 2020 during my Sylvgrid era, and we finally got to meet in April this year. It was so, so fun. I hope I have just as a great time hanging out with my second fandom friend as I did with Tari.

Venturing into a little bit of an insecurity here- hip dips. Hobie will defend them to the end of his life. Trust me. He'll often be holding you by your hips, his fingers splayed over the area with his ring finger seeming to always be falling just into where the skin of your hip dips into the bone. If you try to point it out to him, Hobie will just nonchalantly give you his 'its a resting place for my fingers' excuse, a small smirk tugging at his lips knowing how you feel about it. After all, you shouldn't be insecure about something you can't control. Even while you guys are cuddling, his hands will drift down to your hips, lightly rubbing slow circles just above where it dips, before settling his hand/fingers on it, claiming it to be his little holder for when he gets a little fidgety while holding you. If you're wearing ANYTHING low rise, he'll have a brief short circuit whenever he goes to hold you at your hip dips, and you can definitely tell whenever it happens as his fingers will just ever so slightly twitch. However, with your permission, he'll still hold you by your hip dips, his thumb resting on the edge of your low rise clothing. Not to be a perv, but to be able to poke you whenever he feels like being playful. If you had expressed about being insecure about it originally, he would definitely hype you up whenever you would wear anything that defined it or low-rise. Hobie would also make sure you knew he adored every single part of you, including your hip dips. Just like stretchmarks/scars/etc, sometimes he'll just absentmindedly trace over them, finding it a little cute how they seem like small skateboard dips, and when he means he loves you, he means all of you.
