༊*·˚ ITOSHI SAE would buy GUCCI GUILTY EAU DE TOILLETE, and i tell you when i smelt it it had sae signed all over the smell it. the citrus is noticeable, but it’s a hint of citrus and he has that aromatic, floral and lavender that just hits the spot here. there’s some soft fresh spiciness in it but the woodsy is there!! i don’t think sae ever bought it, i think his parents bought it as a present and it just grew on him and so now it’s his signature scent.

༊*·˚ ITOSHI RIN screams out CHANEL, BLEU DE CHANEL PARFUM. when i first smelt this cologne i was immediately in love— shows the favouritism here haha. but when i think of rin i think of chanel, the scent is very sophisticated and definitely one of a kind. the woodsy scent just smells so nice with his body oils, especially if there’s a citrus and amber smell with it! that hint of powder and spiciness brings out this sweetness that is hella addictive. rin just knows his stuff, and he knows he’s the shit and that’s why he wear bleu de chanel.

༊*·˚ MIKAGE REO buys the entirety of the givenchy gentlemen line, yet he specifically wears GIVENCHY GENTLEMEN BOISEE. so this is a strong fragrance, but when it collides with his oils i can totally see that the musky scent turns slightly woodsy spicy and it complements his personality. i think he wants to go for a slightly matrue vibes, nothing that will not fit his image though ( because surprisingly enough, people will buy fragrances that don't suit their appearance and it throws people off ).

༊*·˚ MICHAEL KAISER definitely wears VERSACE EROS EAU DE PARFUM. this was rated one of the top fuck boy perfumes, and i see why. it's a little spicy, but the vanilla scent is what balances the cologne, yet despite that this fragrance actually has fruity and sweet notes that puts it all together! you have that sweet and spice that surely screams kaiser to me. eros is one kaiser bought because he knows for a fact girls will continue to fawn over his smell and theres a carving of a greek god on the bottle. extra points is he becomes an ambassador for versace because i see that too.

༊*·˚ ISAGI YOICHI would wear PHANTOM BY PACO ROBANNE. this scent is slightly sweet and has that hint of woodsy to it. the fragrance develops into a more cedar scent, keeping that slight citrus and sweet smell when it mixes with his oils. i feel like the reason he bought it because the packaging is a cute robot and he genuinely likes the smell of the fragrance. he gets lots of compliments on it, which enhances his sweetness lol.

༊*·˚ KUNIGAMI RENSUKE wears CALVIN KLEIN CK BY. it is a fact and that's all i have to say. ck is super iconic, the citrus scent it gives him is refreshing, but the fragrance itself isn't labeled fresh which gives you that illusion. the woodsy musk smell starts to come out after the top notes slightly disappear, and it gives a hint of floral to him which the girls love. he's giving sweet and woodsy! kunigami didn't really think much about how others would like it, he just knew that calvin klein is very affordable when it comes to their fragrances and he's happy he has something for everyday use.

༊*·˚ KARASU TABITO is giving me DIOR SAUVAGE EAU DE TOILETTE vibes. it’s actually pretty sweet but kinda spicy? you can definitely smell the fresh spiciness it has! super aromatic, girls go crazy for this scent because it develops so good on this guy and girls will turn their heads just at his smell. the reason he doesn't go for the parfum is because it's too strong, despite knowing the ladies like it he knows that that version is in almost every guy's shelf.

༊*·˚ OTOYA EITA religiously wears CAROLINA HERERRA BAD BOY EAU DE TOILETTE. so this is fragrance is spicy, but not overwhelmingly spicy it’s that spicy that hits you in a warm feeling way. this scent has some woodsy in it, so it balances it out but you’d be surprised when you suddenly smell a slightly sweet choco and vanilla in it! he pulls off the scent amazingly that’s all i gotta say. istg this guy bought it for the soul reason it's called bad boy and magically just liked the fragrance.

oh hey i knew the bit of history about hot cocoa. i was homeschooled so when my mom was doing a lesson on the Mayans we made some for history class one day and I don't think any of us liked it?

If you had it the way the Maya originally had it, which starts back as far as 500 BC, which was grounded cacoa paste mixed with cornmeal, water, and chilis, it's not surprising you wouldn't have liked it. Hot chococlate and chocolate as we know it has sugar to make it sweet, which is the main appeal of chocolate. However, they did have vanilla and would use it along the spices.

It was also drunk by the Mexica (Aztecs), called xocōlātl and was considered to be an aquired taste by the conqistators and missionaries. For the Maya, while the drink was wildly available, the Mexica used it for high status. The Mexica were a war based empire and cacoa beans were sought after from the tribes they conquered.

Now in days, hot chocolate is usually referred to the warm sugary chocolate drink made with milk and topped with marshmallows and/or whipped cream. There's plenty of variations though, and in Mexico (and probably other Latin countries) yo can have it with chocolate, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla, usually in these big tablets. However, there are similar variation to the original which is called champurrado, which is an atole, made with the tablets alongalongside side masa, milk, cinnamon sticks, and piloncillo. You can also include vanilla, anise seed, and cloves. There are more additions of course, but I'm familiar with that recipe!

If you are looking for a warm drink, I highly recommend champurrado! It's thicker than hot chocolate and very good with pan dulce. Traditionally it's made for las posadas (Christmas time), but it's good for any cold weather! It's also very good with alcohol, lol.

Greetings Anon! I love science (actually I love math, but science and engineering are also good)...

Uhhh... Well, considering the nature of most of my content, I'd have to say sex. All of my muses smell like sex. 😆 Jokes aside, here's a list of my main arcane muses and what I think they smell like. Below the cut cause it's kinda lengthy (probably more than you were looking for).

Sevika:

Cigars; something lightly smoky, with hints of spice

Whiskey; woodsy, with hints of honey or caramel

Leather, cause I'm pretty sure her top and/or arm guards are made from leather

Shimmer, but only for a brief period after using it. I imagine this smells somewhat acidic and chemical.

Similarly, I bet her mech arm smells like burning electronics/oil/chemicals for some time after fueling it with shimmer, esp when she uses the plasma blade.

Any other time I bet her prosthetic smells like the oil/grease she has to use on the joints of all those moving parts.

Probably can't even smell the soap she uses, as it's overpowered by everything else. Buuuut... maybe just after she washes, you can catch a hint of her shampoo in her hair. Something like honey and vanilla. Or, I could also see her using that 3 in 1 crap, which I don't even know how to describe that smell... cheap? (she's just efficient!)

Blood and/or sweat; after a fight, sparring, or working out

Grayson:

Fresh and clean. I imagine she uses very simple soaps, both on her hair/body as well as her clothing.

Woodsy, specifically pine. Reminiscent of the time she spends in the forest during tournaments and target practice.

Gunpowder smoke if she's recently been out shooting

Champagne, her drink of choice; citrus, fruity, with hints of spice

Coffee; the good stuff though. I imagine she started drinking coffee to get through long days as an Enforcer, and it eventually just became a habit even at home

Starch; on the days she works, I bet that uniform smells super crisp and clean

Ran:

Smoke. Even though I don't think they smoke, they spend enough time at The Last Drop to inherit a smoky scent similar to Sevika's.

Shimmer. Between all the time spent at The Last Drop, and partaking in their own fair share of vaping shimmer, they probably carry that acidic/chemical smell with them as well.

Gin and tonic; their drink of choice, with hints of juniper and citrus

Something sort of... gothic? Like cloves and patchouli, from the soaps and/or perfume/cologne they wear.

Starch and bleach; that white shirt of theirs looks pretty crisp and clean (although how the hell anybody in the Undercity can have anything white is beyond me)

Blood and/or sweat; as mentioned with Sevika, after a fight, sparring, or working out

Silco:

Cigars; similar to Sevika with that light smoky and spicy scent, though probably a bit stronger and more refined, since he smokes the big fancy ones.

Whiskey, also similar to Sevika (I mean these two are like the closest thing to friends a crime lord and a mech brute can be, so they share tastes in some of the finer things). But I think his preferred whiskey has slightly different smell; still woodsy, but with a hint of something nutty

Dapper Dan pomade (lol. Dude's got to use something to slick that wild hair back like that); so a sort of waxy scent, like an unscented candle. Maybe if he uses a scented version he'd go for one that smells a bit like vintage cologne

Foundation, since he's apparently a bit vain and feels the need to cover his scars (but he's beautiful the way he is!)

Paint (like the strong, toxic kind because that's likely all you can get in the Undercity) if he's recently been around Jinx

Shimmer if he's recently received his dose, so that acidic/chemical smell

Ok I’ll bite, I’m curious:

Mephisto/Amaimon - why ship it? (All 3 q’s)

Rin/Shiemi — why don’t you ship it? (I hope I’m asking this right)

I think we will probably have similar reasons but it never hurts to ask!

Mefiama, why ship it:

1. Ok! So for the first, really my og aoex ship was amairin bc I'm a battle couple shipper first and foremost but mefiama was a close second and it's bc I'm a demon lover after everything lololol

Specifically, I've loved characters like mephisto and amaimon as long as I can remember, starting from my og fav yyh Yoko Kurama and Hiei (which in my head is a different ship than Hiei/Kurama). But, like that ship, I actually never really liked/like the ways fandom portrays them. Characters like Hiei and Amaimon both end up woobified and turned into stereotypical uke characters with the big sexy dom/seme mephisto/Kurama to seduce/play with them.

And to me that always pissed me off bc of how ooc it made them all out to be. I love Hiei and Amaimon bc they're little feral shitheads who have a massive independent streak to them and act/are totally inhuman. They both poke at each other and cause each other headaches and I live for it lololol

They're spicy as hell too and I love that in a ship. The second I saw Mephisto keeping Amaimon strung up on spears in the cuckoo prison that was it for me 😩👌🔥

2. The draw for these characters and the ship is that they're both inhuman creatures that only pretend at humanity, or in amaimons case, is forced to play nice by mephisto if he wants to be stomping around his territory.

What I really love about them, though, is that while Mephisto has the upper hand in the dynamic, Amaimon also knows his character and can see past his clown mask bullshit. He knows the demon Mephisto really is under all the sparkles and show boating. He's an observer and even when Mephisto is focusing on his goals and plots and shows, Amaimon is there on the sidelines keeping tabs and picking everything apart. I think Amaimon thinks Mephisto is interesting or has potentially interesting ideas. The thing about demons is they're constantly looking for something to keep them interested through their eternal existences and with Mephisto, Amaimon has a source of enrichment lol

I also like the fucked up premise of how Amaimon has an inherent trust in Mephisto that gets abused in canon. We saw him getting incredibly hurt by the shiemi reveal, as if Mephisto keeping that info from him meant Mephisto was treating him like one of his human pawns and not with respect as another demon king.

3. I'm not sure if there's an unpopular opinion I have for them, except that I tend to find most fandom treats them incredibly ooc and it makes it difficult for me to enjoy content of them from others. Mephisto as the over simplified seductive seme, doing typical melodramatic evil villain stuff and Amaimon being reduced to a uwu baby idiot who has never had sex despite being a who knows how old demon king. I've got a ton of bitching I've done over the years about it (and it's the same treatment Hiei always got back in the day so I'm used to the frustration) 😂

Rinshi, Don't Ship:

1. Man I feel really bad to say this but this is one of the most vanilla/boring ships in the fandom outside of bonrin. It's just so typical hot headed anime boy protag/girl next door love interest, even as much as they're both incredibly well developed characters, and as much as I love Rin.

It really just comes down to Rin being a, like, base ingredient for me as a ship. Like him being involved in a ship isn't on its own enough to make me enjoy/ship something. (Amaimon, on the other hand, immediately spices any ship up and I've even got a few rinamaishi fic aus out there lol). But I've never been interested in the sweet, hard-working character archetype. I can't help it, I'm into edgy bastard gremlin characters, the antagonists and anti heroes lololol (The exception to this in aoex is Yuri and that's bc she's got that little mischievous bad girl zing to her I love lololol). Shiemi just doesn't have that spice I need to really invest in a character.

2. What would have made me like it is just if Shiemi was a different character lololol like, she's just too sweet for me, like a marshmallow. Her in her string Independent woman era isn't really doing it for me either bc it feels like all her character development got cut out in that training arc she was just in. We missed a good opportunity to see her reconcile things with her grandma and her growth just to watch her toss an Amaimon copy and it feels like we got cheated out of her character arc.

If she just had that little spark that Yuri had it might work for me but I haven't seen it and until then it feels like every other typical anime main character/love interest ship, and it's just never been a dynamic I've never been into.

3. Positive things I have to say are that I think Kato has always done a phenomenal job making her characters feel realistic and not the usual anime shallow stereotypes. So when ppl tell me they enjoy the ship I'm like yeah, if ur into those kinds of characters and that ship dynamic, you've come to the right series to get a really well developed couple who feel fleshed out and who have had a developing relationship throughout the series. Totally understandable, just not for me.

I saw you say you hate booktok, but you also say you support "dark" kink and media so im honestly confused by what you mean. Maybe im misunderstanding something due to not interacting with booktok myself, but isnt the issue people have with booktok that they think the abuse fantasys are offensive and harmful? Which im pretty sure would fall into dark kink/media? Im honestly just confused by what you mean (i support dark kink/media myself to be clear, as long as stays in fiction and all)

So sorry if I didn't articulate this well, pls feel free to ask for any clarification! It's a little hard to get those nuances between the two topics into words lol.

I'm supportive of dark kink/media to the extent that it doesn't encourage or reinforce harmful dynamics in real world scenarios. Booktok has an affinity for glorifying/normalizing toxic heteronormative relationship dynamics under the guise of steamy romance. Again, it's a little hard to explain exactly where the difference lies for me, but a lot of those more intense or risky fantasies tend to be seen as natural or normal roles for partners to fall into.

For example, some people really love the idea of a possessive partner taking what they want with little regard for how they feel. In a healthy kink dynamic, these things are negotiated beforehand and include measures to ensure safety, i.e. a separation of scene (fantasy) vs reality. There's safewords, aftercare, and a mutual understanding of boundaries + desires. It's intense stuff that mimicks dark/abusive real world scenarios, but it's clear that everyone involved is having fun and is 100% on board with the fantasy—KNOWING that it's just a fantasy

Even with things like dead dove smut fics, where there might be some majorly fucked up things going on in a sexual context. There's still an acknowledgement of the fantasy via tags and story elements that establish either a) it's fucked up and not wanted by the character or b) it's fucked up, but everyone is consenting and having fun.

Where it becomes a problem, in this case with booktok, is the blurring of lines between fantasy and reality. It's totally fine if you're into dubious consent or extreme power play! It's an issue when your typical spicy, 50 Shades-level normie kink content presents these things as inherently normal or natural. Not abnormal or unnatural as in the kink is weird. Rather, these romanticized/sexualized abusive fantasies are to be expected regardless of pre-negotiation

It's the idea that men just can't help themselves when they see a pretty woman. That it's just in their nature to keep pursuing even when she says no.  Extreme jealousy from either party is written as a show of deep love and devotion, and not toxic possessive behaviour. Or how women put up with rough treatment or risky play like choking without prior discussion, because they're just normal, borderline vanilla sexual preferences that should be expected. If you and your partner discuss these acts/fantasies as something you'd both enjoy, then go ahead! But the portrayal of these behaviours as "wow he's so into me!" or "it's so hot when he gets so jealous😍😍" just reinforces the idea that this is the kind of treatment we should want and expect, just as part of a "normal" relationship dynamic

I feel like I'm talking in circles at this point, but yeah those are my thoughts about booktok fantasy vs healthy fantasy. again, feel free to ask for clarification or add your own thoughts! I'm pretty certain in my opinions, but taking the time to actually solidify them is helpful

Most of the time the comments I get are positive or constructive criticism, so I answer them nicely, acknowledging the feedback I get (which I'm always grateful for).

I wrote a short named Salt, which I decided to include in Zelda's Log (it was a standalone piece), and that's the angstiest stuff you'll get from me (apart from some chapters of The Golden Chain)

Definitely Son of The Wild! Link and Zelda are happy with their gremlin kids, having fun.

So far, it hasn't happened yet. I'm not a big name, so I'm sort of safe lol

Yes! Since one of my fields of work is translation, I partially translated The Young Queen's Diaries to Spanish. It was a available for a time in my now dead FF.net account.

No, I haven't had that luck.

Probably the end of Zelda's Log. I'm just leaving it as a sort of compilation of short stories ( I just wanted to fill in the in between games gap and it derailed imo)

I think I have a knack for writing banter between characters. I also can evoke a good image with few words.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Consistency. I used to have a decent writing schedule, and made time to write (even if that meant writing at 3am - not healthy either). Freelancing has its disadvantages.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

Definitely Spanish allows room for lots of metaphors and pretty sentences with its rich array of synonyms. In exchange, English can be more accurate to describe the world around.

Gundam Wing. I apologize to whoever read that nightmarish, horrid fic.

I have a weird question/challenge for you. I have a really sensitive nose/tongue for alcohol and find the majority of alcohol I've sniffed abhorrent, but kind of want to try being drunk Once.

I had some jello my friend made using a very small amount of Mike's so it barely had any % alcohol in the finished jello and I found it bitter but edible. I had a cupcake frosted with creme de menthe and it did not taste how I expected but wasn't bad. I sniffed a blue-colored mule my friend ordered at the local sushi bar and the smell wasn't offputting. I tasted Viniq once because it was sparkly and it tasted like rancid rotten grape soda 0/10. Again most alcohol I've sniffed has smelled like gasoline to me.

I love sweet fruit flavors, sweet floral flavors, vanilla, mint, honey, and milk/cream, hate bitter sour nutty or spicy stuff, hate coffee and tea so I think I'm very tannin sensitive. I drink bottled craft root beers and fun flavors of milk from a local dairy farm. I'm a sucker for drinks that are neon blue I love blue raspberry juices and sodas.

Can you give me a list of a few different alcohols and/or cocktails I could try that would have as little alcohol taste as possible and taste amazing but still be able to get me drunk? Bonus points for at least one blue drink.

I think there's two directions you could take this.

First, you could just do shots. They taste like shit and will get you drunk. High-proof shots (e.g. Gosling 151 or Everclear) sort of just taste like pain unless you're used to them, so you could get your liquor content that way. You could also go for just straight vodka; svedka produces a blue raspberry vodka that's pretty tasty on its own.

If you end up doing shots, remember that you can keep a glass of juice to wash it down.

Second, you should look at tiki drinks. Cocktails like:

Mai tai

Blue hurricane (there's your blue drink lol)

Zombie

These cocktails often start with a large rum base, then fortify and wrap it in enough sugar and fruit juice it hides the alcohol. You'd have to play with ingredients to figure out what you like--e.g. does orgeat end up tasting sweet (good) or nutty (bad) to you?

All that being said. You're sensitive to the scent of ethanol, which means that you're associating a lot of these drinks with rot. That's a pretty common opinion people have before they acquire the taste (and acquiring it never happens for a lot of people).I welcome additional asks from you as you figure out what works for you.
