probably super wrong on at least a few of these, but there are a number that i don't think i'm too far off on! hopefully this will also mean more rookies on the grid rather than wasting on the vine.

plus! andretti cadillac may pursue legal avenues to get themselves on the grid in 2025 (b/c they should be on the grid), so that could change things as well (probably most for those w/o seats or floating retirement).

draft that i wrote a few months ago but only reread it now and though it was cool. tell me if you want p.2!

summary: reader feels lost after the blip.

warnings: lowercase writing, kinda depressing themes,

they we're both 17, just seconds before they lost each other. the blip has been going on for four and a half years, and this was her fifth birthday spent all alone with a poorly made cupcake and a matchstick as a candle.

the others on the team who survived the blip have been trying to reach out to her, but she's never called or texted back. she was going insane, she hated the depressing scenery she saw every day the sun shone again.

looking at her phone to read the time, 12:00 am. y/n was officially 22. and she felt like she knew nothing and nobody.

she smiled sadly at the lit matchstick. "happy birthday." she whispered quietly.

she was surprised to hear her phone ring, and to see the name of tony stark himself.

she was debating on declining the call, which she did, for the first 4 times. but tony never gave up that she answered.

"well finally, thanks for answering lady." he sarcastically said. "my pleasure. what's up old man?" you replied, copying his tone.

"well first of, happy birthday. second, why haven't you responded to any of us? and third. i think i just figured out time travel." he said, rather quickly so you progressively flashed thoughts through your head.

"woah, slow down iron head. thank you, and what?! time travel? you don't just casually drop a bomb like that." you said shock very audible in your tone.

you could hear tony chuckle on the other end of the line. "yeah thats what i called for, wanted to meet up because you're a nerd and would probably wanna check it out." he said.

"also- i noticed you avoiding my question." he also pointed out which made you sigh.

"i know, i know. i just didn't feel like it at all, its been kinda depressing lately ever since he left." you explained, and you could feel his sympathy through the phone.

"i feel you, kid. but it's been five years you know, we missed you." he said, which made you smile genuinely for the first time in forever.

"so about him, hes the reason i called. I think this time travel thingy could help bring him back, along with the thousands of other people." he said, in hopes of lightening your mood.

you smiled "that's great. so its the endgame huh?"

he sighed and replied, "yeah, it really is." you shuffled and looked to the cabinet by your right, where you've kept the suit hidden all these years.

"you know, i think i'll help out." you said and you swear you felt his excitement.

"thanks kid, it really means a lot. but anyhow, i'll see you soon. happy twenty second."
