hello there! i've never participated in a match up event, so i hope i'm doing this right! (:

about me: i'm a young adult, with the zodia sign taurus and the mbti type intj. i'm a rather quiet person, but not necessarily shy. i have no problem speaking my mind or cracking a joke, but i'm more selective when it comes to talking. i like to try new things and have seemingly tried out every hobby there is. my ideal partner would share some of these hobbies, potentially game with me, play an instrument (to play alongside me while i sing) or have another new skill they can teach me. on top of that, i think i'd need a partner who is rather calm and doesn't mind spending time seperately as well. my ideal date would be buying snacks and drinks at a gas station at night and just sit outside and talk while we eat!

Askbox will always remain open! You're all welcome to drop by for chitchat, to drop prompts, theories, heartcanons... And remember, this blog is not spoiler free! Asks are not answered in order, I generally go straight for those who catch my eye and delete those I don't want to reply.

This blog takes requests for all KH games! But please, specify which version of the character you'd like for me to write, such as using their proper names (ie: Isa, instead of Saix) and from the specific game (ie: BbS Isa, KH3 Isa). Otherwise, I'll write for their most recent versions! You're also welcome to request for TWEWY/NEO TWEWY, plus Final Fantasy 15! I've decided to drop FF7 and it's remake due to lack of interest on those games from my part.

Reader based prompts will always use gender neutral pronouns and be as vague as possible, so that everyone can feel included. The only exception to this are LGTBQ+ prompts (ie: Larxene comforting a dysphoric S/O, Sora reacting to you coming out as a lesbian, etc) Any requests asking for general female or male readers will be ignored and deleted!

IV.

When requesting a specific type of reader, please refrain from using characters from other media as reference (ie: a reader who acts like Nagito Komaeda from Danganronpa). I'm not in every fandom, nor I know every character ever, or what traits you're hoping to see - it's much easier if you describe exactly what you're looking for! Don't be afraid to send two asks if it's too long.

V.

You can request up to 6 characters per ask! The only exception to this is the Organization XIII, because I love them to death! The length of the post varies and depends on inspiration and number of characters!

VI.

You're free to send in your own [Heartcanons] - a cute term for KH headcanons about the game and characters. To diferentiate them from general chitchat, make sure to add [Heartcanon] at the beginning of the ask! These will be queued and post on Mondays, if there's any left around in the askbox! nagito being on a poll reminds me that he was a very big part of why i submitted and asked for edelgard vs sans to be a poll awhile back so i will now lore dump how edelgard vs sans became a matchup in my mind

so i am a very big fan of nintendo and i always have nintendo on the mind, when viewing other series i kinda think about what it has in common with nintendo games or just generally how i can connect nintendo characters to it

ive always found the "sans and nagito komaeda" meme very funny. the ones where these two are best friends or lovers. its so random and just really funny and great to me i love it

so i wanted to nintendo-ify it. i wanted to go on a small adventure to discover who the nintendo equivelants of sans and komaeda are

for komaeda, there is this meme i saw of a checklist of "what makes a komaeda archetype" and someone actually filled it out for edelgard and pointed out she basically fits that archetype perfectly and is extremely comparable to nagito komaeda.

for mr. undertale, i was replaying pokemon legends: arceus and kinda realized volo is a lot like sans. he seems to know everything about this world for some reason, he seems to be aware he is in a video game and the protagonist is actually a human playing this game, beloved by tumblr, and he's a secret extremely hard superboss that shocks everyone.

and there it was. i had found nintendo's sans and komaeda archetypes

i saw a post of yours that i believed mentioned not wanting 3h discourse. and thus i wanted to share some of this random connection and thought "wouldnt it be funny to submit edelgard and sans since they are now connected via nagito komaeda in this strange pointless loop in my brain and be a complete distraction from 3h discourse" (im not a danganronpa fan but i am an undertale fan, so i figured this would be more fun to submit than edelgard vs komaeda)

"Listen I know this is going to sound weird since it's Nagito and all, but outside of his sprites he has SO much gender imo. In one of the official artbooks he's described as being "quiet, soft-spoken and effeminate" which, considering his jpn voice and way of talking, is rather accurate. Also his outfit as the Servant is inspired by gay leatherman fashion to the point of one of the characters making a comment about it in jpn (has been translated as a coming out joke in eng, so the intent is sort of the same), and honestly? Good for him tbh. And his 10th anniversary outfit and hairstyle is, at least to me, peak gender and god I wish that were me. Also some of the official manga / anime artists draw him very pretty imo, and he gets bonus points for that in my eyes, because I too wish to look like a pretty gnc guy with horrible fashion choices" - regarding Nagito (oh my god im sorry about the length)

Personality: Well, she is a ENTP but mostly all the time shes Introverted and barely talks, when people ask her questions like “what are some of your hobbies?” or “what do you like to eat” she’ll replay “ないです。人間じゃないので” which translates “Nothing. Because i'm not human.”, but when she warms up to someone she can love or just be comfortable around with then she will show a little bit of emotion but not much, she doesnt show any emotions shes just neutral, she stays away from people a lot because she doesnt wanna try to converse with people but if it's needed then she’ll talk, since she is a robot shes basically really intelligent in everything, shes a very anxious person and she does care a ton for the people around her she loves but doesnt show it--!, shes also like a mother she knows how to comfort people and talk with them, so shes like the therapist mom! Apperance: she has long, messy and uneven warm grey ponytails that fall down to her knees that have a darker gray coat at the very bottom of her ponytails, they are held up by their white bows while the other bow is uneven on her right side, she has heterochromia so her right eye is a turquoise and the other is a pink one, her eyes also change color when she has a mood like red is upset, yellow is happy, baby blue is sad, etc, She wears a white, long-sleeved collared blouse with buttons that go all the way down to the bottom, with 3 buttons unbuttoned at the end to reveal a petticoat. The dress is thigh length and turns gray towards the bottom, either by design or from dirt. Around her neck she wears a thin red bow and her nails are painted turquoise. She wears a black harness across her chest. On her right leg, she wears a dark grey sock with no shoe, and her left leg and foot is left bare and she also wears some gothic clothing from their creator which is a long black dress with a black headband that has a little veil with a black rose and gold trimmings on the dress. (Also this is the inspiration and yes this is her apperance off of her bc it’s amazing and I could t progress anything else

Likes: we know that there were no listed hobbies but she does enjoy singing but she also likes to spend her time in more quiet places like a library and maybe she’ll watch a show or read a book, but she mostly likes to sing and sleep

Akudama Drive: Doctor

When first meeting her, she wasn't much of a talker or a friendly person and neither were you and that's what made you catch her attention. You were different from the others in the group, you talked when it was necessary and you didn't need any saving, always being able to protect yourself. She also doesn't hate that you're a robot and thinks that you're better than all of the others who stand around and waste her air.

Danganronpa: Nagito Komaeda

He made the mistake of trying to playfully attack you and that backfired with him being tossed onto the ground with the air knocked out of him. You immediately apologized, not realizing it was him and helped him from the now prominent bruise forming on his back.

When the two of you are alone, he'll ask for you to sing to him saying that it helps him calm down. He definitely has a recording of you singing and when he can't sleep he'll use the recording to help him drift off thinking that it's a melody from a goddess.

Monster High: Robecca Steam

There's times when Robecca remembers that she's the only one left of her family and that she'll never be able to hold her father like the two did when they were younger. You make sure to be there for her when she gets those thoughts and comforts her, telling her that you're here for her and that you're not leaving anytime soon.

Library dates are a must for the two of you, especially when Robecca needs to find pieces for one of her projects or when the two of you have to study for an upcoming test or quiz. When the two of you agree that a break is needed, the two of you read a book having a book club just with the two of you, (Don't tell anyone, but it's not really a bookclub and instead the two of you cuddle up close to each other)

If Sara ever did get into Death Battle, her opponent would probably be Hajime over any other DR character. Why pick Kaede as her opponent?

[WARNING: This contains game spoilers for Your Turn To Die, but you probably shouldn't read the DB matchup series unless you're ready to be spoiled, so...]

//Technically I didn't pick her. She won from majority vote (oh, hehe...)

//If you're asking why we put her in the poll among Kaede's lineup of opponents, the main connections are that the two are female protagonists of death games who are both high school students and possess a high amount of charisma that draws people to them almost immediately upon meeting them; and at some point in the story of V3 and YTTD, this is brought into question. Namely Kaede's heavy-handed and forceful methods of trying to keep the group together, like convincing everyone to keep running the death road in spite of their exhaustion, leads the group to become divided as a result; and though many come to trust Sara, people start to find out that her and her family are somehow more heavily involved in the background of the Death Game overtime, and aside from that, they begin to look at the reality that putting all your eggs in the one basket that is an ordinary high-school girl is not particularly a good idea.

//Also, in spite of their genuine kindness and charismatic personalities, both of them have done rather derisive things in order to achieve their own ends, like how Kaede has attempted murder and Sara has attempted manipulation.

//Lastly, in terms of a narrative perspective, Kaede's death at the end of V3's first chapter is actually pretty similar to Joe Tazuna's death at the end of the YTTD's first chapter. Kaede is shown as the protagonist innately, but at the end of the first chapter of V3, she's executed and the role is passed onto Shuichi. Joe, while NOT the protagonist, was also set up to be a very important character, and throughout the game's lore is portrayed as such, yet he also dies from an execution at the beginning which leaves Sara traumatized and defines her character for the rest of the game. It's the same plot told from two different perspectives.

//In regards to the connections with Hajime though, is IS true that there are a LOT more.

//Like Kaede and Sara, Hajime is ALSO a protagonist from a visual novel death game series, and despite being treated like typical high school students, Hajime and Sara's true selves are somehow connected to the entire game they are forced into.

//They both had an acquaintance prior to the game who assisted them in resolving issues in their day-to-day lives at school. As a result, they developed a respect for the person and an implied crush on them, and they then turned into their main partner in the death game. That is Joe for Sara and Chiaki for Hajime. //Additionally, a boy who both characters first befriended turned out not to be who they first appeared to be, and that boy ended up becoming their main rival; obviously being Nagito Komaeda and Shin Tsumiki/Sou Hiyori.

//So generally, there are a lot more connections between Sara and Hajime, and if Sara DID have a Death Battle opponent, it would probably be Hajime over Kaede. The reason why Sara was given to Kaede and not Hajime is because this series SPECIFICALLY deals with the characters in the main Danganronpa/Survivor canon, which means we'd mainly be using Hajime as he is shown in DR3 and Survivor.

//You know...where he is a VERITABLE GOD AMONG MEN!

//I totally get this matchup in the context of DR2 where he doesn't have his powers, and I would very much prefer Sara as an opponent for him over Apollo Justice, but even then, it's still basically a stomp in his favor. Even in the game world, Hajime was able to reawaken his powers and seize control of the virtual reality he is trapped in.
