"Folk said she [Morgan le Fay] was wicked. Assuredly she did wicked things. But I think now that she was not evil, but a bold-hearted woman bitter because there was no place for her."

I absolutely love this book, the writing is amazing and it's full of clever puzzles🕵️‍♀️!! I haven't seen the Enola Holmes tv series yet, should I? Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars)
You can read my full review on my blog, here's an excerpt🔎:
A brilliant book! Enola Holmes: The Case of the Missing Marquess has Sherlock Holmes’ clever fourteen-year-old sister delving into a captivating mystery full of family secrets, deception and disguises! ...
The plot is gripping, and the intimate writing style draws you in from the start. You feel as though Enola is talking directly to you through the pages. All the mysteries and coded messages entwined with the story are absolutely fascinating and show the care the author took with this book. Among my favourite parts are when Enola comes face to face with a riddle and you get to see how she puzzles through it to come to a brilliant solution. The book is filled with rich descriptions of Victorian life, from the peaceful existence of a country manor to the dangers of the streets of London, which give the story an immersive feel. Little details, such as the way people act and talk, seem to take you right back to the nineteenth century... It’s amazing to have a brilliant Sherlock-Holmes-type story told from a girl’s point of view. In fact, instead of being a hindrance as her brothers believe, being a girl is actually an advantage for Enola, as it allows her to learn things belonging to the Victorian world of women, such as the language of flowers, which can be crucial to solving mysteries. This, along with Enola’s excellent deductive logic and investigative skills, make her a great detective and her adventures really interesting! Read more and get suggestions for similar books here 💫

please read these books they need a bigger fandoM
Here's my faves.
-all of gareph p joneses books (not sure how to write gareph). They are literally so great, they all have a bit dark themes, but you also always know why the characters do what they do. He's really good at tying storys together, and I literally can't choose one I like more than the others. It's such amazing books, and they have amazing world building. They are also kinda short( :( ) so it's a quick read.
-enola Holmes series by Nancy springer. Please. I'm begging you. They are so good. They are set in the 18 hundreds and are about a young girl detective. Also if you have seen the movies and think that's enough it really isnt . The books are 100000000000000% better and deserve to be treated as such. Also I know that most of my mutuals love mmu and I'll tell you : these books are soooo good.
-murder most unladylike. Best crime fiction series ever. This has a bit of a bigger fandom but I still want you to read them.
Ok thanks for your attention. Please reblog I want bigger fandomzz. You are also free to add more ;)

I am a huge fan of the enola Holmes Book serie since i'm 12 years old! I liked the movie but mainly because it made Enola a super popular character.
Anyway, i just discover that there are 8 Books!!?? (When i was little, i thought there was only 6). And I saw multiple time that Enola was a canon lesbian??? Is that true???🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈
I need to know, i was shipping Enola and Cecily so hard at the time and the saga was an awakening to my own sexuality 😅
(not an english speaker, pls be nice)

Possessing Jessie (Nancy Springer) "Quiet, cautious Jessie had always lived in the shadow of her dynamic younger brother--her mother's clear favorite. His recent death leaves Jessie and her mother numb with grief. That is, until the morning Jessie cuts her hair and dresses in Jason's clothes, swaggering out of the house in an uncanny imitation of her brother. Her mother is visibly cheered, and for once Jessie is the center of attention at school. But each day Jason takes over Jessie more and more. Can she escape his power?"
Everyman (Justin Robinson) "Ian Covey is a doppelganger. A mimic. A shapeshifter. He can replace anyone he wants by becoming a perfect copy; taking the victim’s face, his home, his family. His life. No longer a man, but a hungry void, Ian Covey is a monster. David Tirado is a massive, hideous colony organism, a gestalt entity. The sum of Covey’s discarded parts. A roiling, chaotic patchwork of vast and varied personalities, memories, and physical forms that used to be a man − many men − David Tirado is a monster. Sophie Tirado’s identity has been eroded by the tides of a long relationship, and now the man she gave herself up for has been stolen away and replaced by a mimic. Caught between the Doppelganger and the Gestalt Entity, she will try to save her husband, but there might be nothing left of him. Virtue has a veil, vice a mask, and evil a thousand faces."
