YESSSS!!! I WON MY FIRST NANOWRIMO!!! I’M SO HAPPY!

I won three hours before the deadline and now I’m waiting for the live stream on Nanowrimo YT channel at midnight to celebrate officially. 

I have written 50212 words and I’m really happy that I got to do this much on my novel in such a short time. I’m ecstatic rn!!!

Also congratulations to every single Nano winner out there and for those who either failed or chose not to participate - congratulations to you too because every writer is awesome and no writer is less of a writer just because you didn’t do some trendy thing. Seriously, you all are so awesome! Keep it up!!!

NaNoWriMo 2020

I did it!

I can’t believe it, this month was sooo stressful, with so much RL to deal with. But I did it, I powered through. And I feel so good now! ^^

In life, there are two kinds of people: somebodies, and nobodies...And I shut the curtains.

And it’s a wrap! The first and last lines of Nanowrimo, and of my first draft of Ghosts of the Steel Road! It’s been a crazy month, and I haven’t gotten to do everything I wanted to, but I’m excited that I finished.

Honestly, my love of writing has suddenly spiked in the last few days of Nano, as I’ve been stuck at home watching way too much football along in my basement, and I find myself coming up with projects (both writing and writing adjacent) like never before. Some stuff will have to wait a bit, but I’m excited to share them all with y’all!

For now, I’m just gonna do school work and find other things to do today, though it may end up being more writing, or writing games. I’ll definitely think of something to do in celebration of the first draft’s completion, just give me a few days!

I just finished Nano 2020... I feel so weird. I’m excited but I don’t think it has fully sunk in yet.

But I can say after 10 years of trying Nano and thinking about it each year I finally did it. And I can say I’m proud of myself and I worked hard.

Hopefully I’ll have something more profound to say in the future after it sinks in 😂

So this happened. 

I’m still missing seven scenes by my last count, but the challenge is officially done and I’m absolutely confident I’ll be able to finish the rest of the story now that I’ve come this far. And then come the edits and rewrites, so yay, the work never ends.

Thanks for sticking with me until the end, my dears! Tomorrow I’ll be watching a ton of football and writing some porn with peerlo and just relaxing and cooking something nice now that I finally don’t have to put all my free time into writing.

I'm a winner! (For some value of winner.) I still have at least half this story to go, and half of what I've written is a hot mess that will be edited out in post-production. But this world and its characters are coming together and I'm really enjoying the voice in the story. Nano Update

Story of my life is making an update for Nano for day one then never again until today. But just popping in here to say that I DID IT! This was my first Nano ever and I somehow managed to do it while still working full time. I reached 50,020 words this morning and truly feel so proud of myself. I never made a wip introduction post so that’s coming in the next few days now that I’m not sprinting at 100mph through the month. Seeing everyone else’s updates and writing encouragement on here really kept me going and I’m just going to sit in this excitement for the rest of the day!

I thought I wasn’t able to get to the 50k because I didn’t write for a whole week... but then I just wrote and wrote and wrote... and I did it!

I ended up writing in two novels at the same time: war chronicles 2 & 3. 

I didn’t finish either of them but I’m just two chapters from finish WC2! (2nd draft)

And the third... is too long to count (?
