I like to think that there's some humanity's weirdness that followed the ex-retailer's cyberization:

Seems to be more like a Polyhexian Seekerkin as you're suitable for aquatic environments

Your protoform and armature have a greater degree of resistance to salinity and rust

A great tolerance to many toxins and temperature

Has resistance to metal-eating bacteria

A far more efficient system that's capable of extra energy and resources as you can consume other things that Cybertronians can't

Specialized platelets that converts solar into energy. Minor, though.

A distinct lack of biolights. You seem to have more varied textures and/or coloration on your protoform (i.e., moles, freckling, visible Blaschko's lines)

Far more flexible compared to baseline Cybertronians

The ability to walk around very quietly

A very broken Danger Sense to the average Cybertronian

This is all because of a potential running gag where Nautilator is constantly terrified because you keep catching him in his lobster alt-mode, and you mutter all the potential plans to cook said lobster because you're dying for shellfish.

These are some old commission pieces I did in the past of TFs. Obviously, they are old, but I think they still hold up and I love drawing TFs. The bots are Nautilator, Retrax and Short Round in that exact order.

Nautilator is the mentee of Snaptrap, he is a bit of a nervous reak on the battlefield. A total train-wreck of a soldier, he not built to be a warrior and would function better in littealy any other field.

he makes for an especially bad Seacon, he stuckles in water even tho he if perfectly adabted to it physically.

Nautilator isn't completely hopeless, he's quit successful socially, having a great meny friends and even finding romance with a con called Twirl.

Faces

I guess you can call this a taste of some future character designs, only they'll have their masks and visors on in those. I just wanted to make this as most of them do have faces under their masks.

Brainstorms is based off his idw face and Cosmos from Cyberverse. Needlenose is of my own design and Nautilotors were partially inspired by insecticons since lobster mouth look reaaaaally weird.

wada sez: From Nautilator’s Budiansky profile: “Originally a land-based warrior, he underwent adaptive reconstructive surgery for oceanic combat on Cybertron without ever being tested to see if he had an aptitude for the undersea environment. Once he joined the Seacons, it became apparent to everyone that he liked that environment - he just wasn't very capable within it.” Falcon, meanwhile, was one of those late-G1 Europe-exclusive guys who never really had much characterisation—aside from having a decently high rank, presumably informing his role here. Blueshift explained Falcon’s fate on deviantART: “Crushed by the water pressure. That danger is mentioned in panel 1. Originally Falcon was going to drown, but then I realised hey, robots.” Marshall’s remastered version of this strip from his Tales From The Matrix Keeper zine is included below.

He often gets caught in the undertow and has to be hauled out by his fellow Seacons. He’s quick to blame others for his mistakes.
