Did I just draw a comic cover for every story in the "Geronimo Saga"? Yep, yes I did.

I spent WEEKS working on this project, and I've finally finished it and it's almost close to DW's anniversary (I would have finished it yesterday, but after the earthquake that occurred I didn't have electricity all night. Normal for a Chilean girl^^ ')
Take it as an early Christmas gift, @rebellingstagnationblog
As I have already said many times, your story helped me a lot not only to relax, but also when I was under stress. Now I'm back in a bad moment, but as always, your story encourages me, so that's why I wanted to finish this project no matter what. I hope you like it^^
Bonus the cover I did for Unstopppable, which was the beta version to see if this project would be well received^^
Tumblr media
Soooo… What's your favorite cover^^'?

Although wouldn’t it be traumatic for Drake if he came face to face with Darkwarrior Duck, finding out that this could be a possible future for him?
And sweet himbo Launchpad, how could he react to the violent, efficient Nega-Launchpad?
Oh, Drake would have a complete breakdown if he ever saw DarkWarrior and found out exactly how that version of him become like that.
He would want to know where Gos was 24/7 and would get no sleep.
He would probably try to keep a 24/7 surveillance on Megavolt and Quackerjack to insure that they both don’t go time traveling again, and if they do he’d try and keep Gosalyn as far away from them as possible. I’d say he’d even get paranoid over S.H.U.S.H.’s time traveling golf kart and would ask for it to be securely locked away somewhere where no can find it.
If Drake was never canonically afraid of becoming like Negaduck, I’m fairly certain that DarkWarrior would be the one he’d be afraid of turning into since he’s more similar to DarkWarrior than to Negaduck.
Now Launchpad…
I think Launchpad would start questioning his loyalty to DW.
Not that he thinks that DW could turn into Negaduck or DarkWarrior really, but should he really just go with whatever DW does and not question it? Is he himself really that violent.
But I think it would mostly be him questioning DW’s decisions or morals, and whether if DW is actually the superhero he looks up too.

The saddest thing you've ever seen
He looked at her like a child.... Lost and fading.... She became alight with flames.
Arsonne is a hard case to crack, she's selfish, self centered, short tempered, and broken.

Fearsome Five - Darkwing Duck
I'm posting my drawing again, of Darkwing Duck and their main villains, called the Fearsome Five. Admittedly, those are also my favorite characters from Darkwing Duck. I drew this last year for the 30th anniversary of Darkwing Duck. The rest is copied text from my last year's post.
"And now, let’s get dangerous!
I mean, let’s get Fearsome Five!
Finally, this is over. I started this drawing a month and a half ago, but due to numerous obligations, I didn’t manage to paint it, but this time it was done. This was drawn as a redraw drawing of Fearsome Five by the ingenious Tad Stones (creator of Darkwing Duck both as a character and as a TV series), and his drawing can be viewed here: https://twitter.com/tadstones/status/920684543434043393
Although 30 years have passed since Darkwing Duck as well as the jubilee itself, I wanted to draw something related to one of my favorite cartoon series. I’ve drawn Darkwing Duck several times already, this time I wanted to draw related to the jubilee precisely for the reasons I watched that series, and it’s about the villains, more precisely the infamous team, called Fearsome Five or Terrible Five. That team of villains is led by none other than Negaduck, Darkwing’s biggest opponent, who comes from Negaverse as Nega-Drake Mallard or rather Negaduck.
Although Negaduck is my favorite villain in Darkwing Duck, there are still a lot of villains who have become dear to me and even more funny. Although these villains were created as a parody of the villains from Batman, DC and Marvel, these villains have become dear to me. Yes, it’s Fearsome Four, a group of villains fighting Darkwing Duck, but without Negaduck. Like this, with Negaduck they make a terrible team or rather a funny team of villains that I love. Yes, here are Megavolt, Quackerjack, Bushroot and Liquidator, plus, there are Mr Banana Brain (Quackerjack’s toy) and Spike, a messenger plant (Bushroot’s pet) and a monster mushroom in Bushroot’s hands. It’s hard for me to single out who my favorite villain is in Darkwing Duck so I put all five of them on one drawing. I just can’t single them out.
Sorry there is no background, as well as the fact that I put this drawing as three photos, which are light and dark.
In the end, even though it’s over, I want to wish the Darkwing Duck a happy 30th anniversary once again! And I also hope to see all five of them in the Darkwing Duck reboot. Yes, I put all of them in the classic version, from the original series. Happy anniversary, Fearsome Five!"
I hope you like this drawing and love these villains.

Darkwing Duck Characters as Arcane Characters
*I only did a few because I couldn’t decide for other ones*
Tumblr media
Nega-Gosalyn - Jinx/Powder: Jinx is a tragic character. Compared to her sister Vi, Jinx was not as physically strong and relied on more of her smarts.  But, people usually underestimated her and her ideas didnt work most of the time in her childhood except once that caused dire consequences. This tragedy caused her intense mental trauma and fear of being abandoned.
Gosalyn - Violet: Vi is Jinx’s older and stronger sister. She is tough, rebellious and cares about her family. When she was young, her and Jinx’s parents died which made Vi want to help her little sister grow. Vi is also not afraid to fight and is great in hand-to-hand combat.
Darkwing- Vander: Vander took in and raised Vi and Jinx when they were kids. He’s also in charge of taking care of the under city where people considered lower class live. Vander loves both of the girls but bonds more with Violet since he taught her how to fight and is trying to teach her leadership. He used to be a stubborn person but has since mellowed down after adopting Jinx and Powder.
Negaduck- Silco: Silco is an antagonist and lives in the under city but is mostly looking out for himself. He once trusted someone but was betrayed which changed his view of the world. After the tragedy, he took in Jinx and considered her as a daughter. She grew to be the only other person who mattered to him
Launchpad-Benzo: Benzo is Vander’s good friend and sidekick in helping him. He is a nice store owner who takes care of a kid named Ekko who is his assistant.
Grayson- J. Gander: Grayson is head of the police force for the utopian city and sometimes the under city. She is fair and works with Vander to keep peace in both cities.
Bonus:
Heimerdinger- Scrooge: Heimerdinger is an immortal man who has considerable power in the utopian city. He is against magic due to an unknown tragedy.

Are there any references in the covers you made for your fanfic? I'm a bit dumb when it comes to finding references... <w>
Ah, actually some of the covers I did for Geronimo are based on other comics^^ Here is the list for you to compare.

What do you think^^? (I'm very happy with how these and the other covers turned out. This was a small project that I was working on a little at a time each week, and I'm still happy that it was well received^^)

if there’s one thing I love about the writers of Darkwing Duck 1991 and Ducktales 2017, it’s that they keep one point consistent: anyone that was ever Darkwing Duck for a long time, whether they’re just acting or an actual hero, are in danger of losing themselves and they need loved ones (Gosalyn and Launchpad in this case) in order to keep going and ground them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i’ll touch on the others briefly but let’s talk about jim starling specifically. he has almost kind of a possessive, entitled, and selfish attachment to being darkwing, and it’s clear his ego is huge. i didn’t think of it much at first, but you can clearly see that jim starling wears his costume as his civilian clothes. he’s got the turquoise turtleneck and the signature buttons on his coat. it kinda implies that being darkwing duck IS his life, which really bodes poorly for an actor like him if he can only take one 1 role for a TV show (a show that got canceled bc of poor ratings + jim himself according to francisco angones)
it doesn’t seem like he had any other roles, so he has no life outside of darkwing duck. when a darkwing doesn’t have a life outside of just doing w/e it is, they get... ‘obsessing’ (as gosalyn puts it in the ‘91 show’s Time and Punishment)
and having no life outside of darkwing means he doesn’t really have any great personal relationships. he hates superfan #1 drake from the second he found out the younger actor took his role, and he doesn’t even call superfan #2 launchpad by name; LP to him is just his sidekick
in the end, this darkwing duck became a villain. more specifically, he became negaduck
and isn’t that just familiar? it’s similar to what happened to darkwarrior duck. in some twisted future, he thought gosalyn ran away from him and so, he became depressed for awhile until he rescued a kid that looked like gosalyn. ever since then, he resolved to be tougher on crime, and to that end, he fired launchpad from being his sidekick (sweet launchpad, the man stayed at Darkwing Tower for all those years out of a sense of loyalty) and went on a tyrannical campaign. when gosalyn came back to him, darkwarrior was more concerned with making gosalyn his sidekick than actually properly raising her and making sure she has a great childhood. this contrasts heavily with how drake mallard in the 1991 show mostly tries to stop gosalyn from being involved as much as he could for her own good (to keep her safe. heck, before she accidentally hitched a ride to the future with megavolt and quackerjack, drake explicitly forbade her from coming along with him and launchpad to confront said two supervillains). i think darkwarrior doesn’t remember what a normal life is like and frankly, doesn’t care. he threw away the identity of drake mallard and with it, the need to care for gosalyn properly as his own daughter, as well as his own relationship with launchpad
in a similar case with 1991 negaduck (the second version, the one we’re all more familiar with, he came from the negaverse), we really had no indiciation that negaduck really tried to pursue a father-daughter relationship with her. heck, it was up to nega-launchpad to get her toys and flowers, and even then, there doesn’t seem to be an emotional attachment between her and nega-launchpad either. it’s not really the same becos yk, i’m inclined to believe that og negaduck was evil since the beginning. but it does point to how parenting gosalyn properly is an indication of drake’s morality
all i’m saying is that anyone that’s ever been darkwing (or alt versions of darkwing whether they go by that name or not) need gosalyn and launchpad to keep them grounded, as well as maintaing a relationship with them. even with og drake mallard in 1991, it was implied many times that he would eventually give into his ego and gloryhounding ways and lose himself to crimefighting if it weren’t gosalyn and eventually launchpad barging into his life. he was going to drive himself mad from loneliness and isolation and the need for glory and attention from a thankless city that wasn’t going to supply him with any. and with it, he was also going to put himself in even more danger without a care about his own well-being because, well, he had no one to go back to at the end of the day after crimefighting. he was well and truly alone, and he was probably going to die painfully while crimefighting alone without gosalyn and launchpad.
so yeah jim starling was lonely, he didn’t really care about anyone except his image and his ego, and he turned into a villain after a particularly bad day
edit: 2017 drake, on the other hand, at least symbolically dresses in a way in his civilian forme that doesn’t really imply he’s too far into the darkwing shtick. sure he wears a light violet shirt, but it’s not the shade of violet that darkwing is known for, and he also dons a smartwatch and sometimes a baseball cap and sunglasses hanging from his shirt. even 1991 drake looks very different from darkwing in his attempt to keep his two identities separate: a salmon shirt under a green argyle sweater vest.
