why Aurora's art is genius
It's break for me, and I've been meaning to sit down and read the Aurora webcomic (https://comicaurora.com/, @comicaurora on Tumblr) for quite a bit. So I did that over the last few days.
And… y'know. I can't actually say "I should've read this earlier," because otherwise I would've been up at 2:30-3am when I had responsibilities in the morning and I couldn't have properly enjoyed it, but. Holy shit guys THIS COMIC.
I intended to just do a generalized "hello this is all the things I love about this story," and I wrote a paragraph or two about art style. …and then another. And another. And I realized I needed to actually reference things so I would stop being too vague. I was reading the comic on my tablet or phone, because I wanted to stay curled up in my chair, but I type at a big monitor and so I saw more details… aaaaaand it turned into its own giant-ass post.
SO. Enjoy a few thousand words of me nerding out about this insanely cool art style and how fucking gorgeous this comic is? (There are screenshots, I promise it isn't just a wall of text.) In my defense, I just spent two semesters in graphic design classes focusing on the Adobe Suite, so… I get to be a nerd about pretty things…???
All positive feedback btw! No downers here. <3
---
I cannot emphasize enough how much I love the beautiful, simple stylistic method of drawing characters and figures. It is absolutely stunning and effortless and utterly graceful—it is so hard to capture the sheer beauty and fluidity of the human form in such a fashion. Even a simple outline of a character feels dynamic! It's gorgeous!
Though I do have a love-hate relationship with this, because my artistic side looks at that lovely simplicity, goes "I CAN DO THAT!" and then I sit down and go to the paper and realize that no, in fact, I cannot do that yet, because that simplicity is born of a hell of a lot of practice and understanding of bodies and actually is really hard to do. It's a very developed style that only looks simple because the artist knows what they're doing. The human body is hard to pull off, and this comic does so beautifully and makes it look effortless.
Also: line weight line weight line weight. It's especially important in simplified shapes and figures like this, and hoo boy is it used excellently. It's especially apparent the newer the pages get—I love watching that improvement over time—but with simpler figures and lines, you get nice light lines to emphasize both smaller details, like in the draping of clothing and the curls of hair—which, hello, yes—and thicker lines to emphasize bigger and more important details and silhouettes. It's the sort of thing that's essential to most illustrations, but I wanted to make a note of it because it's so vital to this art style.
THE USE OF LAYER BLENDING MODES OH MY GODS. (...uhhh, apologies to the people who don't know what that means, it's a digital art program thing? This article explains it for beginners.)
Bear with me, I just finished my second Photoshop course, I spent months and months working on projects with this shit so I see the genius use of Screen and/or its siblings (of which there are many—if I say "Screen" here, assume I mean the entire umbrella of Screen blending modes and possibly Overlay) and go nuts, but seriously it's so clever and also fucking gorgeous:
Firstly: the use of screened-on sound effect words over an action? A "CRACK" written over a branch and then put on Screen in glowy green so that it's subtle enough that it doesn't disrupt the visual flow, but still sticks out enough to make itself heard? Little "scritches" that are transparent where they're laid on without outlines to emphasize the sound without disrupting the underlying image? FUCK YES. I haven't seen this done literally anywhere else—granted, I haven't read a massive amount of comics, but I've read enough—and it is so clever and I adore it. Examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Secondly: The beautiful lighting effects. The curling leaves, all the magic, the various glowing eyes, the fog, the way it's all so vividly colored but doesn't burn your eyeballs out—a balance that's way harder to achieve than you'd think—and the soft glows around them, eeeee it's so pretty so pretty SO PRETTY. Not sure if some of these are Outer/Inner Glow/Shadow layer effects or if it's entirely hand-drawn, but major kudos either way; I can see the beautiful use of blending modes and I SALUTE YOUR GENIUS.
I keep looking at some of this stuff and go "is that a layer effect or is it done by hand?" Because you can make some similar things with the Satin layer effect in Photoshop (I don't know if other programs have this? I'm gonna have to find out since I won't have access to PS for much longer ;-;) that resembles some of the swirly inner bits on some of the lit effects, but I'm not sure if it is that or not. Or you could mask over textures? There's... many ways to do it.
If done by hand: oh my gods the patience, how. If done with layer effects: really clever work that knows how to stop said effects from looking wonky, because ugh those things get temperamental. If done with a layer of texture that's been masked over: very, very good masking work. No matter the method, pretty shimmers and swirly bits inside the bigger pretty swirls!
Next: The way color contrast is used! I will never be over the glowy green-on-black Primordial Life vibes when Alinua gets dropped into that… unconscious space?? with Life, for example, and the sharp contrast of vines and crack and branches and leaves against pitch black is just visually stunning. The way the roots sink into the ground and the three-dimensional sensation of it is particularly badass here:
Tumblr media
Friggin. How does this imply depth like that. HOW. IT'S SO FREAKING COOL.
A huge point here is also color language and use! Everybody has their own particular shade, generally matching their eyes, magic, and personality, and I adore how this is used to make it clear who's talking or who's doing an action. That was especially apparent to me with Dainix and Falst in the caves—their colors are both fairly warm, but quite distinct, and I love how this clarifies who's doing what in panels with a lot of action from both of them. There is a particular bit that stuck out to me, so I dug up the panels (see this page and the following one https://comicaurora.com/aurora/1-20-30/):
Tumblr media
(Gods it looks even prettier now that I put it against a plain background. Also, appreciation to Falst for managing a bridal-carry midair, damn.)
The way that their colors MERGE here! And the immense attention to detail in doing so—Dainix is higher up than Falst is in the first panel, so Dainix's orange fades into Falst's orange at the base. The next panel has gold up top and orange on bottom; we can't really tell in that panel where each of them are, but that's carried over to the next panel—
Tumblr media
—where we now see that Falst's position is raised above Dainix's due to the way he's carrying him. (Points for continuity!) And, of course, we see the little "huffs" flowing from orange to yellow over their heads (where Dainix's head is higher than Falst's) to merge the sound of their breathing, which is absurdly clever because it emphasizes to the viewer how we hear two sets of huffing overlaying each other, not one. Absolutely brilliant.
(A few other notes of appreciation to that panel: beautiful glows around them, the sparks, the jagged silhouette of the spider legs, the lovely colors that have no right to make the area around a spider corpse that pretty, the excellent texturing on the cave walls plus perspective, the way Falst's movements imply Dainix's hefty weight, the natural posing of the characters, their on-point expressions that convey exactly how fuckin terrifying everything is right now, the slight glows to their eyes, and also they're just handsome boys <3)
Next up: Rain!!!! So well done! It's subtle enough that it never ever disrupts the impact of the focal point, but evident enough you can tell! And more importantly: THE MIST OFF THE CHARACTERS. Rain does this irl, it has that little vapor that comes off you and makes that little misty effect that plays with lighting, it's so cool-looking and here it's used to such pretty effect!
One of the panel captions says something about it blurring out all the injuries on the characters but like THAT AIN'T TOO BIG OF A PROBLEM when it gets across the environmental vibes, and also that'd be how it would look in real life too so like… outside viewer's angle is the same as the characters', mostly? my point is: that's the environment!!! that's the vibes, that's the feel! It gets it across and it does so in the most pretty way possible!
And another thing re: rain, the use of it to establish perspective, particularly in panels like this—
Tumblr media
—where we can tell we're looking down at Tynan due to the perspective on the rain and where it's pointing. Excellent. (Also, kudos for looking down and emphasizing how Tynan's losing his advantage—lovely use of visual storytelling.)
Additionally, the misting here:
Tumblr media
We see it most heavily in the leftmost panel, where it's quite foggy as you would expect in a rainstorm, especially in an environment with a lot of heat, but it's also lightly powdered on in the following two panels and tends to follow light sources, which makes complete sense given how light bounces off particles in the air.
A major point of strength in these too is a thorough understanding of lighting, like rim lighting, the various hues and shades, and an intricate understanding of how light bounces off surfaces even when they're in shadow (we'll see a faint glow in spots where characters are half in shadow, but that's how it would work in real life, because of how light bounces around).
Bringing some of these points together: the fluidity of the lines in magic, and the way simple glowing lines are used to emphasize motion and the magic itself, is deeply clever. I'm basically pulling at random from panels and there's definitely even better examples, but here's one (see this page https://comicaurora.com/aurora/1-16-33/):
Tumblr media
First panel, listed in numbers because these build on each other:
The tension of the lines in Tess's magic here. This works on a couple levels: first, the way she's holding her fists, as if she's pulling a rope taut.
The way there's one primary line, emphasizing the rope feeling, accompanied by smaller ones.
The additional lines starbursting around her hands, to indicate the energy crackling in her hands and how she's doing a good bit more than just holding it. (That combined with the fists suggests some tension to the magic, too.) Also the variations in brightness, a feature you'll find in actual lightning. :D Additional kudos for how the lightning sparks and breaks off the metal of the sword.
A handful of miscellaneous notes on the second panel:
The reflection of the flames in Erin's typically dark blue eyes (which bears a remarkable resemblance to Dainix, incidentally—almost a thematic sort of parallel given Erin's using the same magic Dainix specializes in?)
The flowing of fabric in the wind and associated variation in the lineart
The way Erin's tattoos interact with the fire he's pulling to his hand
The way the rain overlays some of the fainter areas of fire (attention! to! detail! hell yeah!)
I could go on. I won't because this is a lot of writing already.
Third panel gets paragraphs, not bullets:
Erin's giant-ass "FWOOM" of fire there, and the way the outline of the word is puffy-edged and gradated to feel almost three-dimensional, plus once again using Screen or a variation on it so that the stars show up in the background. All this against that stunning plume of fire, which ripples and sparks so gorgeously, and the ending "om" of the onomatopoeia is emphasized incredibly brightly against that, adding to the punch of it and making the plume feel even brighter.
Also, once again, rain helping establish perspective, especially in how it's very angular in the left side of the panel and then slowly becomes more like a point to the right to indicate it's falling directly down on the viewer. Add in the bright, beautiful glow effects, fainter but no less important black lines beneath them to emphasize the sky and smoke and the like, and the stunningly beautiful lighting and gradated glows surrounding Erin plus the lightning jagging up at him from below, and you get one hell of an impactful panel right there. (And there is definitely more in there I could break down, this is just a lot already.)
And in general: The colors in this? Incredible. The blues and purples and oranges and golds compliment so well, and it's all so rich.
Like, seriously, just throughout the whole comic, the use of gradients, blending modes, color balance and hues, all the things, all the things, it makes for the most beautiful effects and glows and such a rich environment. There's a very distinct style to this comic in its simplified backgrounds (which I recognize are done partly because it's way easier and also backgrounds are so time-consuming dear gods but lemme say this) and vivid, smoothly drawn characters; the simplicity lets them come to the front and gives room for those beautiful, richly saturated focal points, letting the stylized designs of the magic and characters shine. The use of distinct silhouettes is insanely good. Honestly, complex backgrounds might run the risk of making everything too visually busy in this case. It's just, augh, so GORGEOUS.
Another bit, take a look at this page (https://comicaurora.com/aurora/1-15-28/):
Tumblr media
It's not quite as evident here as it is in the next page, but this one does some other fun things so I'm grabbing it. Points:
Once again, using different colors to represent different character actions. The "WHAM" of Kendal hitting the ground is caused by Dainix's force, so it's orange (and kudos for doubling the word over to add a shake effect). But we see blue layered underneath, which could be an environmental choice, but might also be because it's Kendal, whose color is blue.
And speaking off, take a look at the right-most panel on top, where Kendal grabs the spear: his motion is, again, illustrated in bright blue, versus the atmospheric screened-on orange lines that point toward him around the whole panel (I'm sure these have a name, I think they might be more of a manga thing though and the only experience I have in manga is reading a bit of Fullmetal Alchemist). Those lines emphasize the weight of the spear being shoved at him, and their color tells us Dainix is responsible for it.
One of my all-time favorite effects in this comic is the way cracks manifest across Dainix's body to represent when he starts to lose control; it is utterly gorgeous and wonderfully thematic. These are more evident in the page before and after this one, but you get a decent idea here. I love the way they glow softly, the way the fire juuuust flickers through at the start and then becomes more evident over time, and the cracks feel so realistic, like his skin is made of pottery. Additional points for how fire begins to creep into his hair.
A small detail that's generally consistent across the comic, but which I want to make note of here because you can see it pretty well: Kendal's eyes glow about the same as the jewel in his sword, mirroring his connection to said sword and calling back to how the jewel became Vash's eye temporarily and thus was once Kendal's eye. You can always see this connection (though there might be some spots where this also changes in a symbolic manner; I went through it quickly on the first time around, so I'll pay more attention when I inevitably reread this), where Kendal's always got that little shine of blue in his eyes the same as the jewel. It's a beautiful visual parallel that encourages the reader to subconsciously link them together, especially since the lines used to illustrate character movements typically mirror their eye color. It's an extension of Kendal.
Did I mention how ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL the colors in this are?
Also, the mythological/legend-type scenes are illustrated in familiar style often used for that type of story, a simple and heavily symbolic two-dimensional cave-painting-like look. They are absolutely beautiful on many levels, employing simple, lovely gradients, slightly rougher and thicker lineart that is nonetheless smoothly beautiful, and working with clear silhouettes (a major strength of this art style, but also a strength in the comic overall). But in particular, I wanted to call attention to a particular thing (see this page https://comicaurora.com/aurora/1-12-4/):
Tumblr media
The flowing symbolic lineart surrounding each character. This is actually quite consistent across characters—see also Life's typical lines and how they curl:
Tumblr media
What's particularly interesting here is how these symbols are often similar, but not the same. Vash's lines are always smooth, clean curls, often playing off each other and echoing one another like ripples in a pond. You'd think they'd look too similar to Life's—but they don't. Life's curl like vines, and they remain connected; where one curve might echo another but exist entirely detached from each other in Vash's, Life's lines still remain wound together, because vines are continuous and don't float around. :P
Tahraim's are less continuous, often breaking up with significantly smaller bits and pieces floating around like—of course—sparks, and come to sharper points. These are also constants: we see the vines repeated over and over in Alinua's dreams of Life, and the echoing ripples of Vash are consistent wherever we encounter him. Kendal's dream of the ghost citizens of the city of Vash in the last few chapters is filled with these rippling, echoing patterns, to beautiful effect (https://comicaurora.com/aurora/1-20-14/):
Tumblr media
They ripple and spiral, often in long, sinuous curves, with smooth elegance. It reminds me a great deal of images of space and sine waves and the like. This establishes a definite feel to these different characters and their magic. And the thing is, that's not something that had to be done—the colors are good at emphasizing who's who. But it was done, and it adds a whole other dimension to the story. Whenever you're in a deity's domain, you know whose it is no matter the color.
Regarding that shape language, I wanted to make another note, too—Vash is sometimes described as chaotic and doing what he likes, which is interesting to me, because smooth, elegant curves and the color blue aren't generally associated with chaos. So while Vash might behave like that on the surface, I'm guessing he's got a lot more going on underneath; he's probably much more intentional in his actions than you'd think at a glance, and he is certainly quite caring with his city. The other thing is that this suits Kendal perfectly. He's a paragon character; he is kind, virtuous, and self-sacrificing, and often we see him aiming to calm others and keep them safe. Blue is such a good color for him. There is… probably more to this, but I'm not deep enough in yet to say.
And here's the thing: I'm only scratching the surface. There is so much more here I'm not covering (color palettes! outfits! character design! environment! the deities! so much more!) and a lot more I can't cover, because I don't have the experience; this is me as a hobbyist artist who happened to take a couple design classes because I wanted to. The art style to this comic is so clever and creative and beautiful, though, I just had to go off about it. <3
...brownie points for getting all the way down here? Have a cookie.

just want to address something i've been getting in tags of reblogs of my art, and something i've seen in regard to other artists/writers with a great deal of skill who decide to use that skill to make fan art.
I received two separate comments on two separate art pieces of House fanart just yesterday saying my skill is wasted on them, and i have a lot to say about that.
while i dont think either of the comments were intended maliciously, i think we need to reframe our idea of good fanart being a waste of time/energy/skill by the artist/writer.
in real life, i am a professional artist. i am an art instructor. i make "real" art that goes into exhibitions, and yes, i also decide to spent my time/energy/skills on drawing blorbos.
I think that drawing the things you are connected to and drawing silly fandom art for the heck of it is exactly how you Get those skills. I am good at portraits because I frequently draw or paint portraits. And I frequently draw or paint portraits bc I want to be able to capture blorbo bc I feel like it and I can.
Someone said my 'skills at colors and expression' was what was wasted on them and I want to emphasize that I’m able to capture their microexpressions bc that is what I want to be able to capture, so I make an effort, and I keep practicing until I’m able to do that. When I’m drawing portrait of random ppl online as portrait practice I’m just drawing what I see instead of trying to capture an essence of a person or character I'm familiar with. And that’s a different skill!
And I’m good at colors (partially bc I’m an artist who paints a lot but in this specific example it’s:) because doodling a blorbo is low stakes. I try new things and learn new techniques bc it’s just something I’m doing for me, for fun, and I’m not getting graded on it and I don’t need to hang it in a museum.
It’s art for the sake of being made, which is exactly what you need to make to continue getting better at making.
The stupid hyperfixation of drawing all the frames of a gif is ridiculous when it’s all for a house md effort, objectively yeah lmao, but it’s the equivalent of studying any other image for hours and distinguishing how micro movements affect which muscles, and how the movement of different muscles changes the shape of shadows and light, and it helps anchor understanding of anatomy.
And drawing all this stupid stuff is especially fun for me bc I can see my actual real art skills improving with every drawing I make or thing I write which benefits my real world art. Like I know this might sound some type of way, like I’m trying to make it sound like drawing gay old man medical malpractice yaoi is subverting the zeitgeist and some sort of momentous critical imperative but I don’t think it’s that serious. Which is my whole point! It’s not that serious, it doesn’t matter, AND I’m genuinely improving my craft while doing it so what’s the issue is basically my point ig. And I wouldn’t be drawing at all currently if I wasn’t drawing them bc there’s nothing I feel drawing to capture in this medium irl!
(and if you've left this comment in tags or otherwise, this is not an attack! it is a backhanded compliment to receive/give, but I also acknowledge that it's not usually said with malice, and not something you were likely thinking about to this level. that's ok! just listen & learn yk)
Using your skills for things you enjoy is never a waste! You're exercising your art muscles and bulking up! if you make art outside of fanart it WILL benefit from these endeavors. and if you don't make art outside of fanart, then you're still engaging in the wonderful beautiful practice of creating!

oh megs these are good ones i have a lot of questions. 1, 2, 7, 10, 20, 21, 28, 33, and 38 if you would like! -hazel
hiya hazel! thanks for sending these in i hope you're having a good evening!
1. which of your fics would you keep the basic plot of but rewrite completely? oooo that's a hard one! ig if we're talking about my posted fics (since i'm doing just that with some of my unposted fics lol) maybe roll the window down (let the air blown 'round you)? not because i think it's a bad fic or anything, i'm actually rather proud of it as a drabble, but i think it would be fun to take that from a little snapshot of a moment and expand upon it into a full length fic.
2. anything you'd like to write but feel unable to? i talked about one concept here, but another thing i'd love to write that i'm currently unable to write but am determined to get there eventually is my hotel california songfic concept. it will happen someday or i will cry but it'd be long and have a lot of moving pieces plus the plot is hard to puzzle out so overall it's just. not at my level atm. but i promise when i do finally become good enough to write it it'll knock everyone's socks off
7. your favorite ao3 tag? answered here and here, but my favorite unofficial ao3 tag is the "no beta we die like [insert character(s) with a canonic death]" it's just so fun and gets tailored for each fandom which i enjoy! (i'm down the rabbit hole of the batman 2022 fics and there's been a lot of "no beta we die like bruce wayne's parents" which is exactly my kind of morbid humor lol)
10. top three favorite fic tropes? slowburn!!! friends to lovers!!!!!! mutual pining!!!!!!!
20. do you work on a single project or many projects at a time? how does that work for you? i am currently working on well over thirty wips (it's grown significantly since the last time i counted so we could be around 40) and those are only the ones i'm *actively* working on so. yeah def many projects lol. it both works very well and not so well in that it's great bc no matter what mood i'm in to write a specific kind of vibe i have a wip ready and waiting to be expanded, but it also means it takes me even longer to finish things so. bit of a give and take thing going on lol.
21. can you accurately predict how long your fics are going to be? if you can, what’s your secret? answered here, but i didn't really go into the second part of the question so i'll touch on that! i can estimate shorter fics lengths largely because i tailor the idea to fit that word count (even if it's longer & less specific than a drabble/555 fic). generally this means the fic will take place over a short period of time with only one or two locations and with little need for exposition, as well as being okay with the reader only seeing a specific fragment of the character's/story's arc!
28. any writing advice that works for you and you feel like sharing? be kind to yourself and keep writing! writing is hard, and anyone who tells you differently is lying. but it's also a skill that can be honed over time as long as you practice it. if you let your insecurities hold you back then you will not get better at writing! so write something terrible! write something so bad you want to set it on fire and then write something worse! everything you write is part of the learning experience, even if you can't see it right away! and when you finish something or see a great line that you wrote, stop and say "hey! i did that! look at me!" because you deserve some love for your writing and there's no guarantee other people will give that to you! so you gotta give it to yourself first and foremost! if there's a writer whose style you want to emulate but don't know how, slow down when reading their stuff and look for the mechanics of the story! how do they make you feel this way? what about that line you loved makes it good? then take all that new knowledge and apply it to your own writing! after you've been writing for a few months/years, open up a word doc just to hype up how awesome you are and describe you overcoming writing obstacles like you're an action hero and then save it to read back on a bad writing day! don't be afraid to look your writing flaws in the eye! never delete anything permanently, you never know when you might want to look back on it/frankenstein it into something new!!
33. give your writing a compliment. (i'm referring to my own action hero writer doc for this one lol) i like that i'm able to tackle a lot of different kinds of stories and themes! you can call my writing many things but one-trick-pony is never one of them lol. also i love how i've grown and am still growing even though writing is very hard for me!
38. “this never happened” fix-it fics or “this happened but” fix-it fics? "this happened but" fix-it fics! in terms of writing, i like the challenge of having to wrestle around the flaws in canon so as to still create the story i want out of it! it's a lot harder to do imo *presses cheek against the glass of my percy weasley character breakdown that's been incomplete for several years and sighs* but it can be worth it in the end!
writing asks!

Do you have any advice for someone who’s really struggling to study? I’m really stressed and demotivated, and I can’t seem to sit down and just study. In my country we only have virtual classes so maybe It has something to do with that, it’s really sad that it’s my first college year and I haven’t attended one single face to face class. Anyway, If you have any kind words I would really appreciate it. Love your blog btw <3
Hey! Thank you for this! And I’m very sorry you feel that way...just know you’re not alone, I think we’re all a bit ‘what’s the point’ rn, and for students (and teachers) this period must suck especially hard. I don’t know exactly what can work for you, but here are a few things that come to mind. I hope you can find something useful!
Have habits and routines. Our days are all over the place, which is not good for motivation or mental health. Instead of procrastinating, feeling guilty, working in a hurry and then feeling even worse, decide on a schedule that works for you. Don’t be too hard on yourself - give it as much time as you need to do the work well, and devote the rest of your day to stuff that makes you feel accomplished and serene (maybe learn or practice a non-screen skill, such as cooking or painting?).
And: at risk of sounding like a yoga mom, don’t forget about your body. Very often stuff like bad mood or exhaustion has physical, not mental, causes. Try to make time for sport - dancing in your underwear, running outside, walking the dog, online pilates, a 7-minute app - and, if you can, a few minutes of meditation, singing or breathing exercises every day. I’d recommend the ‘cardiac coherence’ stuff - lasts about 3 minutes, makes you feel really great. And: remember to stretch, smile and drink water throughout the day. If possible, go outside or have plants and flowers around you.
When it comes to habit, try to understand what kind of person you are and react accordingly. Some people work best when they change cold turkey (new day, new me), while for others it’s better to adjust things more slowly (for instance by moving the alarm clock forward five minutes every week or two). If you’re the second type, a method like Pomodoro could work well to organize your work schedule.
Have pretty things. Try switching to ink or coloured pens, have nice stationery, organize your Word documents so they’re neat and tidy, use candles, plants, ‘good mood’ incense - whatever makes you feel your work has meaning and worth.
Try background music. Some people work better with noise, and you can find all kind of noises online, from stations to coffee shops to purring cats. Others like classical music. For me, what works is video game music, which is designed to keep you alert and focused while being unobtrusive.
Try to keep your workspace as similar as possible to a ‘real’ workspace. No stack of dirty mugs and plates, no abandoned pajama bottoms. If you can manage it, start your day as if you were actually going outside - dress for actual human company, put on make-up if you like to - and remember to prepare your desk the night before: textbooks, charged laptop, notebooks, water bottle, possibly a diary or a motivational quote or anything you find useful.
If it helps, study with friends or classmates. Have video meetings, chats or shared Google docs and work together. Rant with people who’re going through the same thing, but also find a way to help one another. If you live with flatmates or family members, maybe you can find a moment to work together on your separate things? Dad does admin, mom prepares a work presentation, you do your homework and that’s ‘work time’ for everyone?
Divide your tasks. Make clear lists of what you have to do - as detailed as possible (not: shakespeare essay, but: 1. read book, 2. write essay, 2b. introduction and so on) and pay attention to when the stuff is due, either writing it down in agendas or post-its or creating alerts on your phone. Some people also like the square of doom (you know, that ‘important + urgent’, ‘important + non urgent’ thingy).
Keep track of what you’re doing if you find it helps you. There are good apps for this, or you can use a nice journal or an Excel sheet. Track whatever you want - minutes of study, words learned, tasks accomplished...a favourite of mine is ‘a time logger’, which can track your entire day. When I was in uni, it made me realize I was working a lot more than I thought, and reaching daily goals kept me motivated.
Rethink your internet consumption, especially news, TV shows and social media. Try having periods where you go off-screen whenever you need a break. Stuff like, ‘no TV before 6 pm’ or ‘no tumblr on weekdays’ can automatically make you a lot less stressed and a lot more productive.
You can also decide to modify the way you engage with these things. For instance, if your studies involve a language, you could watch only TV shows in [language], or turn on [language] subtitles, or you could switch to Buzzfeed [country]. If you like IG, pinterest or tumblr, try having a separate ‘weekday’ account which is about healthy escapism and/or accountability: landscapes and poetry instead of fandom content, or a personal blog about your day - use the right tags and connect with others who’re going through the same thing.
Imagine you’re teaching someone. I’m guessing you’re passionate about your subject, so turn your study sessions into imaginary conversations. Teaching a lesson (or making a speech) is often the best way to see what you understand, what you need to work on, and what you’re interested in learning more about.
Websites like b-ok can help you find books about your subject (or not) - possibly stuff you’re not actually compelled to read, but which sounds interesting nonetheless. Broaden your horizon, discover different stuff, and sooner or later you’ll find yourself making connections between the exciting stuff you’re basically reading for fun and the actual subject you’re studying.
And: remember why you’re studying this. What are you passionate about? Why did you fall in love with your subject? Why are you studying it? Sometimes we have to endure a few boring classes to get to the good part, and that’s okay.
And finally: visualize the future. The world will get better, and at some point you’ll be glad you’ve spent a few (or many) hard and boring hours getting your degree. What are you going to do after this? Make a ‘future’ board, write a fake Wikipedia article about yourself, give a Nobel or graduation speech, give a pep talk to your (imaginary) future children about the hardships you faced on Zoom and how you overcame them to become the mom they know and love. Whatever works, no matter how ridiculous or narcissistic or far-fetched is a good thing!
I hope this helps! Remember to remain calm and positive, and talk to yourself as if you were talking to a child or a best friend. Less You suck and the world is going to end and more Yes, you didn’t do great today, but we can always do better tomorrow, it’s okay to have an off day! Uni is hard enough under any circumstances, and right now...do your best and resist the bait of dark thoughts: we will get through this, and everything will be alright. It’s how it works.

Nyz for the ask meme?
N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice)
Hm already did this one, but I’m sure I can think of more!
Batfam this time, although I don’t read nearly as much of that as I used to...
More Cass! More...fics balancing an action/villain plot with character and relationship stuff; it’s hard, I know it’s hard, I’m bad at it personally, and I know we focus more on covering the parts canon neglects, but we’d get better at it as a community if it came back into fashion. And then we can mock DC harder for not being able to do it more consistently.
And, hm. More hurt/comfort that’s in-character? That’s a very broad target with this kind of fandom and really I’ve just gotten increasingly picky, but I still feel like it’s gotten harder to find due to the weird convolutions DC’s taken everyone through with all these reboots.
Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)
According to this definition I have a bunch ig but I don’t, like. Pay attention to them enough to be able to list them. Not very good social media-ing?? Maybe!
I have a whole other load though that I’m intimately not-in because I like reading their fic on AO3 without ever touching the source material though??? I feel like that’s more how I use that term. I have exposed myself secondhand to...Homestuck, Transformers, Miraculous Ladybug, Gravity Falls recently...probably a bunch more, hm. I have also gotten into a lot of fandoms backwards this way, like I like the fic enough I go watch the thing. The above four are ones where I am very certain I will never ever want to do that.
Come to think of it I rarely seek out the fandom of a piece of fiction I like if I don’t already know it’s a good fandom, from having run into it in the wild. My relationship with original fiction and my relationship with fandom aren’t that closely related. Huh.
Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go (prompts optional but encouraged)
Not sure what ‘prompts encouraged’ means...does it want me to make suggestions for other people to write or to do some extemporaneous ficcing? I will Ignore. Hm. Topic. These are always hard.
Okay so you know what’s cool about fanfic as writing practice? (As distinct from all the other ways it’s good lol.) It’s that you’re practicing different things than when you write original fiction.
I’d gone over a decade without ever making any serious progress on any longform original fiction, for mental health reasons, all while writing well over a million words of fanfic. And now that I’ve gotten back into it in a real way for the first time since I was a teenager I’ve found I’m a lot more able to identify specific skillsets that are getting used and either forced-to-improve or allowed-to-be-deployed-with-less-cost in different scenarios.
Like--there are all kind of bad habits you get writing original fiction just trying to get through the exposition to the actual story without losing the reader. A lot of quite good professional authors even have them! But in fanfic the opening exposition investment is so low, between ‘existing familiarity’ and ‘self-written tags and summary,’ that you can condense that down to nearly nothing and go on to focus on things that are actually more important.
Also you accidentally learn a lot of the skills involved in redrafting by spending a lot of time producing writing that’s in dialogue with an existing text. Learning to treat your own rough draft like your treat canon? Useful. An inability to let go of the first version is one of the greatest challenges facing most novice writers, so that’s a cool one they don’t tell you about.
The fact that it’s practice for a different set of skills than you practice by starting or chipping away at new original projects as a developing writer goes under-emphasized I think.

creator tag game ✨
thank you @kennyortegas!!!!! this was very fun
first creation and most recent creation of 2020: first is this stevetony fic. and then last is technically this natasha edit, but i made that like MONTHS ago, so it's actually this arthureames edit.
one of your favorite creations from 2020: i will be honest i cannot remember what i make or the time that passes through it, but this natasha set came out nicely!
a creation you’re really proud of: this poem!
a new style you tried this year and a gifset that uses it:  well practically everything i do is experimentation but i tried doing a vibrant specific color set for the first time and i used it on this now you see me 2 set. I'm still amazed i managed to get the color uniform.
a creation that took you forever: this hidden figures set. i wanted a sort of green theme and i couldn't find any green scenes so i had like 6 rejected gifs.
a creation you think deserved more notes: all my fics. jk. no. i don't really have any where i specifically think they flopped, but this sambucky fic is very feel good and deserves 100000 notes. also, im just realizing that i wrote it on my birthday??? for my birthday i gave Y'ALL fic??? im nicer than i thought ig
your creation from 2020 that received the most notes: apparently it's this gifset. but i also had 3 poems that hit around 700-1000 notes which is so so so wild to me. a couple fics got up to around the 700 note range, i think, which is also wild for a fanfic on tumblr. i have a sambucky fic that's over 1k (not sure if it's 2020) but i def love it.
a new fandom you joined and a creation you made for it: stargate atlantis, hello! this mcshep fic is very soft and loving and i am genuinely proud of it.
a creation you made that breaks your heart: this steve gifset is very sad. also, i learned how to do a fade into another gif thing!
a creation with a favorite scene/quote: i know this means like quote as in character quote, but i don't really do those. i have this ernest hemmingway natasha gifset that is absolutely gorgeous and probably my favorite gifset this year though.
a ‘simple creation that you really love: this mcshep fic. it's 6 sentences and still manages to give characterization and story and emotion, which i am extremely proud to have acomplished.
some of your favorite content creators from the year: @stardustony @tonystarks @chloezhao @dindjvrins @diazalex and dozens more, I'm just very very very very shit at remembering urls.
a favorite creation created by someone else: anything @stardustony makes. vero's colors are. fucking impeccable and i LOVE them. so much.
a creation that was inspired by another one: this katniss/peeta edit i made based off a poem i wrote.
and for good measure, a couple more creations of yours that you love: I JUST REMEMBERED THAT I DRAW??? this tony drawing i did during psychology and im still very proud of it. also i wrote this *cough* pg-13 samsteve fic and I'm. it was. I'll just let u see for urself
tagging: anyone ? everyone ? need a bit of ego boost ? self appreciation ? do this bb!
also i would like to note that im pretty sure this is for gifmakers, but i think i did like. 5 different forms of creations, across like 4 different blogs, lmao. me and my 8 blogs have been BUSY this year, apparently. but this was very fun!

Writers Month 2020 - Day 19
for the ‘de-aging’ prompt!
this is a direct sequel to day 9, so this will make more sense if you read that one first! of all the prompts, this was the one i was most hesitant over, but it was a good opportunity to put my own spin on a trope i’m not normally keen on :)
fandom: bts
pairing: none, platonic ot7 but in concept rather than name, jimin-centric
length: ~1.1k words
genre/tags/summary: fluff and angst ig? arguments, some self-destructive behaviour, bangtan stressing out. jimin is stuck reliving past events (often with a negative spin) as he de-ages and everyone else tries to fix it
putting under a cut!
*
Jimin stared into the dull eyes of his reflection. Behind him, the bright lights of the practice room left no shadows, nowhere to hide.
He was 22, his strongest ability his choreography, and he couldn't even seem to do that right.
In a boiling over of frustration, he lifted his fist and smashed it into the mirror. The glass webbed into shards around his hand, blood beginning to ooze from between his clenched fingers.
Screaming, he made to repeat with his other hand, but the world jerked beneath his feet and he fell into nothing.
*
"Hyung-" That was Hoseok's voice. "-I dunno, he just collapsed!"
A pause.
"An ambulance? Shit, okay, I'll call one now-"
*
An argument.
Jimin was 18, hot-headed and thrust into a world he hadn't been fully prepared for.
Opposite him, Yoongi. Not their leader, or their eldest, but often the one who was the most mature, who spat vicious lyrics and then retreated back into his introverted shell to watch the others at work.
His anger hadn't settled this time, though. It was a cold, black thing, something to be feared. Brutal.
"Jimin-ah." His jaw was set tightly. "You're being childish about this."
"Childish?" Jimin could feel turns burning the back of his eyes, but he pushed back against them. He was embarrassed, he was furious. "I have improved! It's just not fucking good enough for the likes of you!"
Yoongi's shoulders drew up. "Where's your respect?" He hissed. "I can't help you if you don't fucking let me."
Hands balled into fists at his sides, Jimin tried to think past the rush of blood in his head.
I hate you, I hate you, I hate-
*
"Seok, we're here, what-"
"Jiminie-"
"Give him room!"
"The ambulance is nearly here, but I think it's a curse-"
"Curse? How-"
*
Jimin is 15, and the newest accepted trainee at Bighit Entertainment.
He is thrilled, ecstatic that he is one step closer to achieving his dream of being an idol and able to perform on the world's stage. It might be true that every trainee feels the same way he does, but he knew that he would be different, he knew it.
Of course, his parents were less convinced.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes!"
They exchanged a look.
"Jimin," his father began, as if about to break some terrible news, "we're just concerned. So few trainees make it, and-"
"I know!" He did. "But I will!"
They didn't seem to believe him.
"This is important!" He pushed. "I- I need this."
Another look, this one more layered than the last.
"Jimin-"
*
"Who the fuck cursed him?"'
"Are we sure-"
"Look at him again and ask me that one more fucking time-"
"Taehyung-ah, I think we should-"
"Doctor, are you almost there?"
"5 minutes."
"Fuck-"
A prolonged pause.
"Seeing hyung as a kid in person is not something I ever thought I'd see, this is weird-"
"Other problems, Jeongguk!"
*
Jimin is ten, a child just discovering his love for dance.
He had been dancing for a few years now, and was comfortably good at it, but was just now learning how much it meant to him, how he could move people with a mere performance.
Stretching his leg against the bar, he watched the older students at work.
"5, 6, 7, 8-"
Their teacher's counting was the rhythmic backbone of everything they did, her claps sharp over the soaring strings of the music.
"Again!"
She was strict, Jimin knew that. Some might even say too strict, considering this was a children's class ostensibly for fun.
Wasn't she making him better though? He would never have progressed this far if it wasn't for her teaching, would he?
Distracted, he didn't he was still stretching the same leg until his teacher narrowed her eyes at him.
"Park!" Her claps continued, perfectly in time, even as her counting stopped. "Why are you-"
Suddenly, his vision began to swim and roil. Nausea reared its head in his stomach, the criticisms of his teacher fading into underwater static.
"What-" His mouth didn't move with his words, though he knew he spoke them aloud.
The sensation that he was falling became overwhelming, and he finally succumbed to the blackness which had been threatening the edges of his vision.
*
"Got it."
"Oh, thank fuck-"
*
Jimin is 25, and comes to like a man just drowned and revived.
His eyes flew wide open, chest rising off the floor with the force of his inhale.
Above him, several familiar faces - and one not - sighed with relief, but his brain couldn't process it yet, he was still stuck in the past. Hadn't he been a child moments ago?
More immediately, his whole body ached, muscles and bones alike, in a way he'd never felt before, not even after some the intense training sessions they'd had over the years. It was like his whole body had been wrenched apart and then hastily put back together again, done wrong, and then the whole process repeated.
Bones were aching that he didn't even know he had.
"What-" He coughed, trying to recover his breathing. "-the fuck?"
Taehyung sobbed a laugh.
"There he is," he choked out, "there's our Jimin."
Namjoon's face appeared above him, somewhat haggard but still smiling.
"You were cursed," he explained. "Your body was getting younger as you slept, eventually you would have, well. Gotten as young as you can get."
There was some tense, slightly hysterical laughter at this.
"Oh god," Jeongguk said, uncontrollably giggling, "hyung would have just been a tiny blob. The youngest idol in history, ah-"
Jimin registered the words, he knew he did, but their meaning didn't quite sink in.
"I was ten," he blurted out. His head complained at the movement. "This is really fucking weird."
The unfamiliar face - a witch doctor of some sort, judging by her no-nonsense demeanour even while holding an enormous staff - gave him an apologetic look.
"I'll explain later." She stood, preparing to leave. "I'll give you all some space."
Around him, the other six crowded into his personal bubble, all making sure that some part of them was flopped over Jimin's still aching body. He didn't mind, though.
He had no idea what had happened, the memories were all still very fuzzy and disjointed, but he was hardly going to say no to a cuddle pile, was he?
(Later, Jimin told them all what it had been like, and they described how his body had slowly gotten younger and younger as they watched, unable to do anything about it.
It was a learning experience for all.
In future, security was much, much tighter.)

“Will you play with me?”
“What kind of game?”
Fringe, my love, if ever you get to read this one day I want you to know that everything you write is precious and I’m thankful you’ve gifted us with Ineffable, this is my favorite Park Jimin fic, there’s something about the way you write that always pulls me in and after reading your note about being single (when you wrote this) as the inspiration for this fic, it hit me hard and made me understood why I was so affected because just like you I miss the feeling of intimacy too.
[SPOILERS AHEAD ~ because my feelings are unstoppable]
it’s been a while since I read something that made me feel like there’s a literal hole in my heart, I love Kim Seokjin to the moon and back so reading and immersing into this as his Bestfriend for the longest time, pining hardcore for him and everyone knew but the boy was too was blind to see it, fuck it fucking hurt, god, the amount of angsty emotions this pulled from me was no joke, I became so sensitive and grumpy to people around me as I was reading this, Seokjin was too beautiful, too perfect, but also dumb and dense to not see love in her actions and words for him, I was frustrated the whole time and he really had to give her cup to that brunette (I will address her as brunette through and through because I’m petty like that)
do you believe in fate? Jimin, he was a gift from fate, he always manages to be there for her just when she needs someone to save her from the pain Jin causes her fragile heart, at first he was a stranger in a crowd but they found each other, he was a welcomed distraction because for the nth time she failed in confessing and pouring all her love for her best friend. everything happened so fast, one moment she was sulking over her love and a certain brunette, then she’s asking the pledge to fuck her, she needed to feel something else, something that will make her forget (and regret) she was cold towards the boy because she knew that was it, a one night stand that doesn’t require any cuddling and ego-stroking, a quick fuck, self-pity and a few text messages later I felt bad for her, she had no choice but to dive in and pick anyone up to her challenge and it sucks because she felt guilty for something that doesn’t have any repercussions she was a single grown-ass woman who could date, fuck, and dump whoever she wants, but it’s Jin, her constant, it’s always him (but it will never be her)
fast forward to more encounters with Jimin, fate really wants to test her huh, was fate cruel? first, sharing a class with Jimin the boy she avoided like the plague, then meeting Jin only to listen to him talk about the brunette with so much love it pricks my heart like a bitch, my eyes were rolling at the whole cafe conversation, please just shut up Jin... then the party, ugh, I hated Hoseok for not even showing a little interest or respect to MC, she’s human too and Jin’s BFF but I guess they were much more interested in meeting the pretty, sexy, cutie whatever brunette, like what makes her special huh? pft but thank goodness MC has her own personal hero in the form of Park Jimin he saved her once again, even if she explicitly told him it’ll never happen again, my whole body tingled when she gave in once again because the boy is packing some wild stamina, feelings were developing and as much as I love and adore Jin, Ineffable Jimin whisked me away, he clearly has a soft spot for MC, he cares about her, studies her little quirks and pays attention to everything she says and do and this time she was the blind one, he may not be as hardcore as here when it comes to solo pining but he’s getting there, the way he pleases her and begs for her to stay was evidence but the stubborn cold-hearted girl won’t budge saying it’s the last and it’ll never happen again but upon discovering the information that he will be practically attached to Jin’s hip because their buddies leaves her without a choice but to accept that Jimin will always be there.
now their own game starts with a few rules no small talk and no way he could talk about her with others and he happily complied (what a tsundere babe) even if she finally has someone to soften the blow, Jin had to wreck her heart through and through and I hate it, I hate Jin, and I hate that brunette, but despite all the hate brewing in me Jimin was there once again to rile her up it was funny not until somebody had to dampen her mood once again, sigh, everything happens for a reason and Jin always hurts and pushes her away but she keeps clinging on to him, part of me thinks that more than liking, loving, and considering him as her constant, she sees Jin as her home, she had a rough life and he’s always been there, but she needs to let go and detach herself to let other people in but damn her grip on him was too tight, her hopes still burning bright that one day Jin will look at her the way she wants him to see her...
oh god I literally summarized everything but this is the best part, the part where you need to hold your heart from all the fluff, the angst and soft genuine smut (because the first two smutty scenarios are rough and wild and just pure delicious smutty goodness *chef’s kiss*) Jimin has slowly become her constant, they finally learned a lot about each other slowly, the bits and pieces of information felt like they’re working on a pretty scrapbook supplying parts of them until everything makes sense, then Jimin came up with a new rule, sure they were content with the way things were but they ultimately decided and agreed to ranting while the other listens, I love how MC is slowly opened herself to Jimin, and how she started to smile and laugh again, something we never really saw with Jin, all he did was make her pine, hope, wait, sulk, hurt, and repeat, but with Jimin her life started to show patches of colors, he makes her happy, makes her smile, makes her warm, he worked his way up to be able to stay by her side even if he could’ve just ditched her now that he’s done being a pledge but he was in too deep to even let go.
everything was falling into place until she had to have her heart broken once again, srsly cried hard while reading this part moving forward, Jimin never questioned the game she wanted to play, to become lovers even for a short period of time, a borrowed time to make her feel for once that she belongs to someone, that someone can love the mess that she is, that she is worth all the love the world could give despite her flaws and all,  the whole play scenario shred my heart to pieces because as much as MC thinks she’s hurting, she had no clue that Jimin is feeling the same too, she’s asking to be held, to be loved, to be someone’s universe when he’s right in front of her holding her until her broken pieces are put back together, loving every part of her even those she didn’t think were desirable parts of her for in his eyes she was perfect, and most importantly Jimin looks at her as if she was the universe he holds with his hands, beautiful, fragile, full of life and sorrow, but still lovely nonetheless.
she opened up, opened and pour her heart out to him trusting he’ll listen and won’t judge her, she finally lost the battle, the one she loved the most will never be hers, fate already made it clear with all the way he treated her only as a friend, the times she had to endure, listen, and support him whenever he falls for someone new, and the reality that he will be asking the love of his life to marry him on a whim, life is truly fucking unfair huh, but it really isn’t because it was never Jin to begin with... it was Park Jimin all along, he was never a distraction because that’s where he truly belonged, he was the center of her universe.
sigh after literally typing and spoiling a lot my feels got the best of me I cried then smiled again this really is the best Jimin piece I've read, it was beautifully written with every intention to soften someone’s heart and maybe open themselves to love again, because that’s what it did to me well it softened my heart but idk if I'm opening up myself anytime soon. I really adored Jimin’s characterization here he can be the cocky fuckboy who plays around but his loyalty to MC was something, he was whipped right away ig, he’s also very cute, persistent, clueless, and annoying at times, but god this boy was so loveable I swerved directly to his lane, the vivid descriptions of every scenario especially the smut appeased my sulky self because Ineffable Jin tore my heart to pieces but the best part here is when she asked to play a game with Jimin, god it was the most beautiful thing I read, she was so broken almost irreparable but Jimin stayed with her and made sure she feels his heart, his actions were so pure I will never get over it, maybe I do love Jimin, I denied it for the longest time and Ineffable is that fic that got me accepting and shouting all my love for him sighhhh, again, thank you for this Fringe, you and your works deserve all the love, now watch me bombard my friends with this fic so we could gush about Park Jimin 24/7. | 🍒🍒🍒🍒🍒

For My New Followers
Hey y'all! I feel like need to make this post because I’ve gained a lot of new followers due to a very unfortunate situation, but I appreciate the love though.
So, welcome to my Tumblr.
A little bit about me: 1. I’m 26 2. Im a Black Woman, in case y'all didn’t know 3. Yes that’s a real photo of me as my avi 4. So I’m queer but I identify as straight for reasons. No I’ve never dated a girl (unless you count all those times when I was a kid that I ‘experimented’ with girls and guys-shh don’t tell my parents, well not my dad anyways 😂). I don’t really tell people that I’m queer in real life because one it’s not everyone’s business and two, I haven’t learned how to make that work with my spirituality/faith/religion. Speaking of… 5. I’m a Christian, well sorta. No, I am a Christian my faith in God/Jesus is VERY important to me. I’m very anti Christain church though, it’s problematic AF and I don’t think Jesus would be happy with it. If you’re an atheist, that’s cool, I’ve contemplated that a time or two. I don’t really post a lot about my faith here on tumblr, I just choose to let my light shine and let the big guy upstairs do the rest. So no worrries about random “do you know Jesus as your lord and savior” posts from me…I actually hate that shit 😂😂😂 6. Im from the south, Alabama to be exact; don’t judge me y'all I’m not a stupid hicktown hillbilly I promise. I actually detest like 98% of the things about my state but, I’m sticking around cause somebody’s gotta try and make this shitty place better right? 7. In reference to no. 5, my dad’s a minister, so'a my grandad and so was my great uncle, my great great grandad; I’ve even got an aunt who’s a pastor. My mom has a bachelor’s degree in Christain education, so I might chime in on biblical shit from time to time 🤷🏾‍♀️ 8. Per Myers Briggs-I’m an INTF,INFJ and one time I tested as an INFP. I think, I think a whole lot and I’m super introverted, but I’m passionate about a lot of shit. 9. I just got my bachelor’s degree in Sociology after an 8 year (yes it took me 8 years and not cause I was dumb; life kept fucking happening) struggle. I’m in the process of applying for Grad school at both USC (master’s of social work) and Northwestern (MA in Public Policy and Public Admin) Im doing it online and I plan to start in January
That’s enough personal stuff.
Let’s get to the technical stuff: My blog is a hodgepodge of shit, literally. I’m terrible at tagging so if you’re a stickler about tags, I apologize in advance.
My blog started out as Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice (that was my first fandom-good times), now it’s like 90% Once Upon a Time. I consider myself a multi shippper, prior to that thing I don’t wanna talk about I was a super hard Outlaw Queen shipper, I also like Dragon Queen and Dragon Outlaw Queen. I sorta ship Swan Queen but it’s complicated. I don’t like Emma or JMo but I do think there’s something there between them. I haven’t ventured off much into SQ fics because I’m a stickler about reading, but if anybody has suggestions I’m up for it. I blog a lot of Lana Parrilla things, I will almost fight you if you come for her in any way. The same applies to all of the new WOC. I stick up for WOC, period point blank. A lot of stuff posts from my Instagram (@thewrldacctodee) to here and most of my IG posts are of the kiddos I’m a nanny to, especially the little girl Bailey, she’s almost 2 and is a total sweetheart…sometimes 😂 I Reblog a lot of pictures of Black people, my favorite singer Aaliyah, I’ll occasionally blog some Grey’s Stuff, mostly Addison Montgomery and Mark Sloan. I also Reblog political stuff (I don’t like Cheeto Satan, aka Trump) and other social issues.
I do random text posts about shit that annoys me, shit happening in fandom, which I have a tag for #WhenPeopleInFandomSayFuckShitThings sometimes I tag it as #WhenPeopleInFandomDoFuckShitThings or the General #OUATFanfomFuckery.
I Reblog from a LOT of people from all over fandom so that might be a problem, but these people are all my friends in some capacity. Don’t mess with them, and don’t try and sway me into not talking to them. I like to allow people their own room to fuck up with me and deal with the aftermath.
Uhh…damn this is long 😂😂😂
I think that’s all you guys need to know.
My ask box and inbox are always open, I try and be like Switzerland in most instances. I’m all about being cool and shit, ya dig?
Hope y'all mofo’s enjoy my blog! ✌🏾❤️
