George Weasley Agere Headcanons ((Regressed))

Because sometimes a caregiver gotta enjoy childhood to ((also maybe projecting

It was triggered not long after the war ended. Essentially when things ‘went back to normal’ and the dust settled. Gave time for the PTSD to kick in

In his regressed state he is actually extremely quiet. Out right mute, even. If not for sign, and little noises to indicate he’s listening

He acts rather opposite, when he’s little. He’s so quiet and more so relaxed because he needs a break from being himself. It’s exhausting having to pretend everything’s ok when it isn’t. So it’s kinda his mental space going ‘breathe’ for once

It’s almost like he’s a newborn, with how exhausted he is. He mostly just sleeps, or does very simple and basic things. His brain is already going a mile a second every day at work, and in his existence. Sometimes you just gotta stop and breathe

He doesn’t have a caregiver, unless you count Bill and Charlie, due to it being hard to explain that he isn’t ’acting childish’ after all. Bill has been through so much therapy, he understands. Same for Charlie, having to do children’s education for dragons

Angie would be the only other person, and someone who gets it. Since she knows losing Fred essentially was losing half his soul. She will take care of him the best she can, because he’s always taking care of her

His space to be little would be flooded with plushies. Just this squishy safe haven to lay down and relax. With nightlights all over the place to make the ceiling and walls look like fire works and stars. Along with a music player always going, since silence scares him

He has a plushie bird he named after Fred. That way he can still hug his twin, and bring him everywhere

His comfort foods to have are juice, fruit slices, and peanut butter anything

It won’t be a surprise if he cries in this state. He’s always the person to go to for comfort and support. He’s almost not allowed to be sad. So being regressed helps him process his emotions that his big self can’t. So crying is going to be expected, and welcomed. It’ll help him more than it’ll ever hurt

Expect lots of cuddling and snuggling

His comfiest clothes to wear when feeling little is his home made sweater, and pajama pants. It’s just home. Expect one of Molly’s blankets around him too. Especially if it was one he shared with Fred

He’s gonna be a sleepy baby

i've seen quitee a few different posts talking abt nice games for regressors but i noticed a lot of them focus on phone games, so i thought i'd to compile a list of my absolute favorite nostalgic ds games bc i (and headmates) like to play those when regressed!!

♡ animal crossing: wild world - if you like playing acnh on switch, consider giving wild world a try! it's a lot more simplistic than new horizons but it's very cozy and the core gameplay is still the same (fishing, catching bugs, talking to villagers, etc.)

☆ nintendogs - who doesn't love nintendogs!! you get to adopt a puppy and take care of them, play with them, enter them in competitions, and so on! being able to pet and brush your doggies with a touchscreen makes it even better.

♡ petz nursery - another pet-themed game, this time you get to take care of a variety of little baby animals! there's lots of little minigames for feeding, cleaning, and playing with them. i find the low-poly newborn puppies and kittens very endearing.

☆ mysims - a very cute little game that has little to do with the main sims games but is fun nonetheless. you play minigames and explore and interact with tourists in a vacation town!

♡ pokemon mystery dungeon: explorers of sky - a spin-off of the mainline pokemon games where you play as a human-turned-pokemon and explore dungeons with a team of other pokemon! it's a little more complex than some of these other games but it has a really good storyline!

☆ cookie shop - a game about running a desert cafe!! you play as a little dog (chocodog) named rose and grow your shop and collect recipes. soso cute

♡ professor layton and the curious village - my headmate would be mad if i didn't include a professor layton game so here's the first one! a silly little game where you investigate a town and solve various puzzles!

☆ the legendary starfy - a game similar to kirby but with underwater sections. it's very cute and i would recommend it if you enjoy platformers or sea-themed things!

interested in playing one of these? even if you don't own a ds/3ds, you can always play these games through an emulator (such as melonDS or delta) ! whether you buy these games or obtain them through other means is none of my business /ᐠ 𒒬 ﻌ < マ

Regressor Johnny Cade moodboard + headcannons

I tried to make these as time period accurate as I could! Jonny has always been a huge comfort character to me but my love for him has been re-awoken by rereading the book after getting my own copy :)

This boys age varies so much due to his upbringing. He goes from infant to only a few years younger than he actually was.

His regression is almost never voluntary. There are moments when he does regress on purpose ,but those are few and far between.

The boys definitely know. Johnny never really told them, but they’ve witnessed it and understand that Johnny “just acts like a little kid sometimes” and that’s just how it is.

They realized what was going on after Johnny got jumped he regressed very soon after the gang found him. He told them what happened , then was fully baby regressed.

The gang got a lot more protective of him when they realized he went into a mindset of a kid. ( if that’s even possible)

They watch after him a lot when he’s regressed to. Although he does have favorites at certain ages…. Don’t tell them that though.

Johnny only really sinks fully into baby regression if his friends are around.Because if they’re all there then if anything happens he knows they’ll take care of him.

He’s on edge at most older ages, the skittish prey animal behavior does not go away. He’s very easily spooked and sent into a panic.

Due to his trauma, he hides alot. The concealed spaces bring alot of comfort to him, because he hid from his parents alot.

The boys cannot raise their voices too high around him when he’s young. It absolutely terrifies him and makes him run and hide, and it takes the gang forever to find him after he’s hidden.

He’s a sensitive soul, the boys always have to explain things gently to him.

“No, johnny cake, you’re not in trouble you just can’t run down the stairs like that. You’ll get hurt.”

Johnny doesn’t have much agere gear. At first he only had a scuffed old puppy dog that his maternal grandmother had made him as a baby, however soon after the boys discovered how his regression affected him they got him more stuff. It’s all kept at the Curtis home though.

Dally and two-bit shoplifted alot of his baby stuff. Dally watched his attempt to self soothe by sucking his thumb after he was jumped, and decided he’d get Johnny anything he needed to comfort himself when he was like this. So Johnny has accumulated quite a few pacifiers, rattles and bottles from Dallas alone. The things Two-bit steals for him are more fun small toys,crayons, etc.

The Curtis boys had quite a few old things from their childhoods that they haven’t gotten rid of yet, so alot of it went to Johnny.

Darry mostly just makes sure Johnny is fed. He does pick Johnny up from time to time, and Johnny adores it.

Soda-pop and Two-bit play with Johnny when he’s older and more energetic . Theyre the type of guys to rough house with a little kid by picking them up and swinging them around.

Ponyboy reads alot to Johnny and tells him stories. And he’s alot better with playing pretend than the others are.

Steve is more like a bit of an attack dog if he’s hanging around Johnny he’s got no clue what to do except make sure he doesn’t get hurt.

Dally however is shockingly gentle with Johnny. He’s still the same old Dallas Winston to everyone else but when Johnny is small he’s a bit more calm.

Johnny is never alone if the others know he’s small, he doesn’t tell them but they just kinda know.

When he regresses his fine motor skills go out the window. This boy is staggering around like a newborn fawn.

★ After finding out about him being an NPC, he was devastated for days. He wouldn't leave his room and would cry himself to exhaustion until he passed out. After a few days of this cycle, Pomni was able to get close to where she can talk to him.

★ After a long chat, Pomni brought up "Age Regression" as a suggestion to help him cope. Unsure at first, he was very awkward about it. It took him weeks before he began to settle in on it. After managing to get comfortable enough with it, he was happy!

★ as an age regressor, he is more comfortable with the girls taking care of him than the guys. He's a huge mama's boy and everyone to him is his mama!

★ mostly Ragatha takes care of him, and he's happy with that. He calls her "mama" and when he first started to regress he wouldn't detach himself from her (he loves her)

★ he is sibbies with Pomni! He also loves having playdates with her sometimes

★ has the habit of nibbling his caretaker's fingers sometimes! But most of the time its an affectionate gesture.

★ regresses very young. He is around being a newborn and Infant regressor (8months-2yo). On rare occasions he will regress older (3-5)

★ hates being yelled at when he's little. He also despises his caretakers being stern with him. It makes him really upset.

★ has a sweet tooth and will eat chocolate until he gets sick (that's why he needs to be monitored with his candy habits)

★ drinks from a bottle and has a pacifier that pomni helped him make

★ speaking of bottles — he loves being bottle fed 🍼

★ a very sweet and gentle little. He is physically affectionate and love showing his caregiver how much he loves her

★ when he misses his bio mama, he still has a habit of hiding away and crying until he falls asleep. Through with Ragatha's help, he feels less alone-- and he has someone to cling to when he's crying

★ he has a rocking horse he loves to sit on when he's little

★ he's verbal, but often just speaks in simple terms. Example— "want bottle.", "mama!", "wah?" "Baa" etc etc. Usually simple terms such as that

★ LOVES being babied. It's his favorite thing to happen to him

★ actively avoids Caine when he's little—

- Omgggg he is such a good caregiver (in my opinion-)  

- Since angel regresses to such a young age he has a set bedtime at 8:30 for him 

- If angel is a little more fussy that day, he will make him a bottle and feed him so he can get a nap 

- Husk also puts angel in dips just to prevent any accidents 

- If he is busy for some unknown reason, he will have Alastor or Charlie baby sit you  

- He will set up play dates with you and the other little ones there (I feel like sir pentious is a regressor as well as Charlie)  

- He loves sitting on the couch and holding him while there is a movie or some cartoons on 

- He always makes sure angel has something (semi) healthy for dinner. It usually involves chicken nuggets, fruit, and another side dish such as mac and cheese  

- Angel is the only one he doesn't mind playing with his fur, one time Charlie got angel some butterfly clips and let's just say they mostly ended up on husk-  

- Husk carries a regression bag for angel. It has dips, an extra pair of clothes, some bottles, his Paci, a stuffie, and a teether.  

- He knows how to play guitar (My headcannon-) and he will sing to you while he plays it 

- Its not really safe to play outside but he will go on small walks with him just to get some  fresh air  

- He will and had put angel in time out or early bedtime if he is doing stuff like throwing things or eating snacks without asking 

- Sweet baby angel needs a night light to sleep so husk makes sure to always plug it in before bed  

- Angel carries a stuffie with him at all times, husk absolutely adores seeing him do it. He will talk to the stuffie and treat it as if it were a person to. “Oh that very interesting mister bear”

Cause like I said, I saw I lot of it, both recently and in the past. But I've also gotten told in the past, well, not any good things about the people who age-regress? first of all, I'd like to say that yes, you did type it right! English isn't our first language either, so we understand! People also may spell "age regression" as "agere" which is just a shorter version of it. So when someone spells it that way, they're the same thing./information

-Now, what is age regression? What's it used for? :

age regression is, in short, a coping mechanism where people may mentally regress to a younger age than themselves physically. Example, let's say person A is an age regressor. They are 20 years old. But regress to a much younger age. Like 3-6 years old. Age regression is very different with every person who does it, so that doesn't mean a single person has to regress the same age. Someone could regress to be a newborn, another can regress to be a middle (which is around 10-teenager age) if I'm not wrong. Anyone can regress to any age, depending the person. Age regression is a healthy way to cope. Age regression is a professional therapist recommended coping mechanism, and it does not hurt the user who does it, or anyone around them. Age regression can also be for fun. Some, if not, majority regressors do regress due to trauma. To restore their childhood that they never had. Or to relive a childhood they wish they had. Whiles others who may do it for fun, doesn't have to use their regression as a coping mechanism. Hey can age regression because hey, it's fun to do! And so it's isn't something that you can only do if you have trauma. Everyone can do it. Trauma related or not

Not at all! People whom may tell you that "regression is bad because ___!" Is usually the ones who don't do research. Age regression is a safe-for-work coping mechanism. Which means it's never sexual, or a kink. Alot of people who aren't in the community will assume age regression is just a kink thing, and that is untrue! Many people will get "ageplay/ddlg" mixed with age regression. While age regression is never inappropriate, and is appropriate for all ages to do, ageplay is a kink to.. hopefully just something adults do. Ageplay, is a BDSM kink where someone will pretend to be a younger child while their partner, whom they'd usually call: daddy/mommy/whatever title, they will do inappropriate things with them.

Meanwhile, age regression is a lot different. Like I said, agere is a safe for work coping mechanism. And NO little, (which is whom we call someone who age regresses) will pretend to be a child for sexual reasons. When someone age regresses, they mentally revert back to a much younger age and sometimes can't even do things they'd normally do when big (which is what we call them when they aren't in a regressed state anymore). They physically (mentally physically,) regress to an age of a child. And the difference between that and ageplay, someone who participates in ageplay will never mentally regress to a younger age. They pretend to be, for sexual desires and kinks. They do it on purpose for sexual pleasure, while people who age regress can't consent at all when they're little. Since they actually do regress mentally to mostly 10 and under. (But even if they regressed around being in their teens), they still can't consent.

What is a caregiver?: A caregiver, is someone who will take care of the little when they're regressed. A caregiver can take on a father role, mother role, sister, brother, etc. (Solely depending how the little sees them/and how the cg would like to be called)

What is a little?: A little is someone who age regresses

What is a flip?: A flip, is someone who regresses, AND is a caregiver.

what is a pet?: While I'm not saying pets are the same as age regression, it does exist. An age regressor may regress, but may also be a pet regressor (or) someone isn't a little but be a pet regressor instead. pet regressors has very similar concept with age regression. While age regressors regress to a younger age mentally, pet regressors will regress to an animal. (Ex; cat, dog, bird, deer, dragon, fawn, list goes on) and just like age regression, is SFW

TLDR; Age regression is a SFW coping mechanism that is therapist recommended and is not at all harmful to them, or others. Age regression can also be used for fun and doesn't have to be trauma based to regress. All ages, genders, sexualities, races can regress. Age regress is for everyone and isn't something only feminine, petite or hot pink lovers can enjoy. Everyone can regress no matter what anyone says about it.

I don't know alot of resources to direct you to, but I wouldn't really recommend google either. Google is a "trust me bro" and "he said she said" deal.
