#txts#I kinda expected that#bc one of my...rivals? already was a software engineer#just in the ukraine so ofc he'd have waaaaay more background knowledge than I do#especially w/ backend stuff#i am still not doing the one next week bc i am so sorry but i am still not spending like near 200bucks on a test....get to know me first#this however means i need to catch up on sending applications#i havent in a bit bc tbh i am exhausted#+i wanna play more dragon age :/#next interview in 40mins#thats only like half an hour in estimated time so i'll either game afterwards or do applications#i probably should game first bc i DO actually get tired eventually and need a break#and THEN i can make some applications even if its only copy pasted ones#so far it hasnt mattered whether i've made a personalized one vs a copy paste-yes i've checked

So I've been putting off talking about my tourettes recently bc it seems everytime I have the words to express what's going on, something new happens. So instead of trying to organize things or put them into like a semi story-time post, I'm just going to list things out. These will probably not be in chronological order because so much has been going on the last 2 or so months that I've lost track of all the "when"s.
⚠️everyone's experience with Tourette's or tic disorders will be different, I can only speak to my own⚠️
⚠️TRIGGER WARNINGS for descriptions of tics/tic attacks, description of self injurious tics, abilism ⚠️
1. Nicknamed my Tourette's gremlin "Archibald" or "Archie". I tend to yell at my tics already when I get frustrated or annoyed, so I named him. It's mostly to make myself laugh. Saying "Archie's being an ass" or "apparently Archie didn't like that" makes me giggle, and more so when my friends play along in cursing Archie. It also lets my mom/friends know I'm not hurting from my tics.
2. Developed a lot of new tics. Some I've had before as one offs but are now common ones. The new tics include saying "knock-knock", "hi" (hi being said in not my normal voice), "Beetlejuice!". I've also developed biting at the air? Like my head goes forward and I bite so that my teeth clack.
3. Developed a frequent, kind of self injurious tic. On the same day or week that "knock-knock" came about, I also started knocking on my head twice w my right hand. It can be really soft or really hard to the point it concerns my mom. We tried having me wear like a beanie but it seemed I knocked harder with the hat on, and I'm really picky about hats bc sensory.
4. Got told by the family member I work for that I could easily find another job if I "weren't so picky". I then had to explain to her that I have seen the change in an interviewers face from "You look like a great canidate" to "finish this up as quickly as possible and never contact them again" when I had to disclose my Tourette's (noticeable repeated tics, otherwise I'd never disclose). I also had to tell her that I was "coincidentally" let go from a job the day I had to disclose, after being told repeatedly that I was doing well before. I also had to tell her that the one job that seemed chill about my tics that wasn't family connected, I had to quit bc it was 30/40min away and I don't drive so was begging people to drive me.
5. Fully convinced Archie is actively trolling now, as the "Beetlejuice" tic came about after mom said her coworker said it and she had to repeat it 3 times fast (she also has tics but is undiagnosed). Then the "Beetlejuice" started and she had to repeat it everytime.
6. I've been working for like 4 weeks now, and have had Tourette's related issues 4 times now. I've left work an hour early twice, 5 hours early once, and had to miss a day due to tics/tic attacks.
7. The missed day actually happened this week. I started getting intense head jerk tics about an hour before my shift finished, but I wanted to try working through it. Every few minutes I'd be forced to quickly/violently look to the right 5-10 times in a row. It started to hurt really bad but I managed to finish out my shift. By the end of my shift my head, neck, and shoulders hurt like crazy, and pain meds didn't seem to help at all. (Wasn't sure if they'd help for repetitive motions but figured was worth a shot). It kept going like that for 3 or 4 hours before I relented and said I won't be able to come in the next day. I couldn't lift my arms above my head or look to either side from the pain of it all. I'm still sore like 2 days later but able to move around now.
8. Biting the air tic came about when I was kind of hungry, but apparently also happens when I'm pissed? Happens randomly too, but thought that was funny.
9. Trying to figure out how to get my family to understand that just bc tics CAN mean something is wrong, they don't ALWAYS mean something is wrong. I know they're just worried and wanting to help me but if I tic 3 or 4 times in a row they keep asking "what's wrong" and won't take "nothing, it's just happening" as an answer. At which point I end up getting frustrated because they keep asking and the frustration leads to more tics.
10. We pulled up at a gas station that was advertising hot dogs and my mom ticced "hot dog" in the same voice she uses when our puppy brings her her hotdog toy. She was trying to suppress it, and afterwards she looks at me and goes "I couldn't NOT say it, like it physically hurt trying to not, is that how you feel all the time?" And I was just like yeaaaah pretty much. Mom's tics are usually reactionary, and she doesn't get a lot of premonitory urges, so it was really unusual for her.
That's all I can think of at the moment, thank you for reading. If I think of anything else I'll probably make another post but I'm not sure if I will. Sorry this one was so dense, I've been putting this off for a while lol.

The Decline Of Western Civilisation
Director Penelope Spheeris Stars Claude Bessy, Exene, Darby Crash, Ron Reyes, Nicole USA 1981 Language English 1hr 40mins Colour/Black & white
The classic LA punk doc
I feel it’s rare to have a (theatrically released) documentary that is much less well-known than its sequel. But The Decline Of Western Civilisation II: The Metal Years had famous people in it, some much-quoted funny moments and set up director Penelope Spheeris up to make the massive hit comedy Wayne’s World. The first Decline, on the other hand, is bleaker, occasionally funny in a very dark way and put Spheeris on the way to directing the grim (and fairly obscure) squatland drama Suburbia. And at the time none of these people were celebrities and even subsequently, the only person here who has nudged fame is Pat Smear, the guitar player from Germs, who was a touring member of Nirvana in their last days and is currently a Foo Fighter.
But make no mistake, The Decline Of Western Civilisation is an extraordinary music documentary. Filmed in late 1979 and early 1980, it drops us right into the middle of punk in Los Angeles. There’s no voiceover – although we do occasionally hear Spheeris asking questions – so the description and analysis comes from bands, fans, managers, club owners, bouncers and the staff of Slash magazine.*
In what I think was an accident of timing, Spheeris caught a pivotal moment. The early punk scene in Los Angeles had been open-minded and stylistically diverse. Here we see the codifying of hardcore punk and the amped-up aggression of bands like Black Flag, Circle Jerks and Fear and their audiences. Fear, in particular, incite their gobbing crowd with a steady stream of homophobic derision.
The contrast is with Catholic Discipline, led by Slash editor Claude Bessy (aka Kickboy Face), whose guitar player Phranc was a trilby-sporting lesbian. (And Catholic Discipline are shown playing at venue we learn had banned the hardcore bands by this point.) Their crowd looks like a relatively sophisticated bunch who have put a lot of time into their outfits. But they also, it should be said, seem a lot less into the occasion than the kids at the Circle Jerks show.
There wasn’t (it seems) even the language to describe what was going on those crowds. Everyone refers to pogoing, but these kids aren’t jumping up and down on the spot, they are smashing into each other and creating a vortex of bodies, and clambering up onto stage and getting shoved off. It seems the terms slam dancing (moshing was an even later coinage as I remember it) and stage diving were not yet in common use.
So how does Spheeris put us in this world? We get a lot of footage of the bands on stage, which might be hard work for some viewers. But because Spheeris and her camera crew are interested in the scene as a whole, there’s always something anthropologically interesting to note**, even if you can’t tell where one Fear song begins and the next one ends.
And then there are the interviews. This the opposite of the uniform talking-head approach, although the great access Spheeris had helps. Interviews with kids from the scene are face-on in a stark room with a bare light bulb hanging down, shot in black & white and tinted blue. Venue owner Brendan Mullen is filmed on a cliff high above Los Angeles. Nicole, the long-suffering manager of Germs, talks in close-up with her clothes merging into the black background.
Germs lead singer Darby Crash, by contrast, is filmed cooking eggs and bacon in a grubby kitchen – this is probably the film’s most notorious segment, as his mate blithely recounts stumbling across the body of a workman at her parents’ house. Spheeris [unseen]: “Didn’t you feel bad that the guy was dead?” Michelle: “No, not at all. Because I hate painters." During the X interview, singer John Doe is tattooing LA music scene character Top Jimmy's arm while the band’s other singer, Exene, talks through her collection of fundamentalist Christian pamphlets that she’s collected on the streets of LA.
All of which is to say that faced with my key question about movie docs – is this actually a movie? (rather than TV or – these days – YouTube content) – the answer is about as emphatic a ‘yes’ as is possible. This is a visually fascinating bit of film-making, regardless of what’s being said. But the what’s being said is interesting, too. Both the letters from readers to Slash magazine and some of the things the kids filmed under the light bulb say are (to a 2023 viewer) evidence that it wasn’t the internet that created all manner of unpleasantness – it was always there, and (in the case of the readers’ letters), people used to bother to actually write and post trolling nonsense (I was going to say and pay for postage, but I’m guessing a lot of these were kids using stamps from their mom’s desk.)
This is one of those movies I’ve known about for decades, but only finally now got a chance to see. And yet somehow it went way past my expectations – this is one of the great rock documentaries.
(In the UK, all three TDOWC movies are currently available to stream for free – legally! – on Plex.)
*OK, so maybe worth saying I know a certain amount about this stuff – for instance, I’ve read We’ve Got The Neutron Bomb: The Untold Story Of LA Punk so I had a lot of context that the more casual viewer wouldn’t. But I still think it would be an absorbing watch if you don’t know anything (you don’t have to have read a book to realise that Darby Crash was very bad news).
**For instance, at this point at least, both in terms of the bands and their audience, this was less all-white than you might imagine/despite the bile spewed by a couple of the interviewees. (Not as far as I know shown in this film, but definitely already a key figure was Spot, RIP.) This is part of my 'Every girl should be given an electric guitar on her 16th birthday' series of reviews

(mod; ist got back from the "interview". Nobody showed up, lol. I waited for 40min and left. Super unprofessional, ahaha! Omg, a medical assistant! That sounds awesome.)
Careful now. *laughs at you* Don't want to activate my god complex, do you?
*carefully guides you to the throne, holding you upright by your waist, sitting down with you on my lap*
*reaches up to cup your cheek and leans up to place a soft kiss against your lips* You're amazing, princess. Did real good. I had fun playing with you. *smirks*
*leans back against throne, arms lazily around your waist, sighing* Were you serious about the dinner?
- Sukuna
*giggles* no we definitely don’t want that hm?
*smiles in appreciation of your attentive actions and wraps my arms around your neck gently carding my fingers through your hair at the back of your head*
*returns the kiss then smiles back at you letting out a small giggle* I had fun too. Who knew you could be so soft after sex. *leaves feather light kisses on your jaw*
*blushes slightly embarrassed then carefully chooses my next words and hesitantly speaks* Kinda… yeah. I wouldn’t mind dressing up and going out to dinner with you. I think it would be really nice.
{ that’s so lame, i’m sorry :(( i guess it’s better you learn now their lack of professionalism rather than later though! hope the rest of your day is good ♡♥︎ it is! i love it :)) }

12/25/22🎄
Merry Christmas! I hope you had a good holiday. I thought I would try journaling on Tumblr tonight. I spent the day writing. I started the Morning Pages from the Artist’s Way again. It’s a project by Julia Cameron.
I’m not working right now, but I’m looking for a job. It’s sad to say, but I was let go from my last job.
It’s giving me time to focus on writing and exercise. A lot of hiring managers are likely on vacation next week with the holidays but I hope interviews resume in January. I want to get a good job soon.
I made some progress writing but wrote very few lines of actual poems. I’m thinking through ideas. I always feel the need to be reading more. I don’t really know what to write in a poem right now or for the passed few weeks. I’m hoping morning pages helps. I looked back at older morning pages and had a few ideas. I got a couple gift-cards for Christmas and I’m trying to pick books to buy with them. I’m thinking of buying art books, but maybe poetry too.
I watched a MOMA youtube video of Corey D’Augustine answering questions about art and, at about 40min in, he talked about artistic practice not working very well as a Sunday painter. You need to devote time to your art to develop your style.
It’s almost midnight and I need to go to bed. Going to read first.

I am a male teacher who got head from a mother at parent teacher interviews:)
I was single at the time and this mother had already made reference to being recently divorced. The interview goes well, nothing overly flirty or anything. It goes a bit long and I tell her it's ok as the next one is booked 40mins later. She says " in that case could I suck you off?" I was floored. I agreed and she walked over and got down on her knees inform on me while I was in my chair. She took her tits out of her shirt and proceeded to give me the best blowjob I've ever had. I finished in her mouth and she somehow thanked me:) We talked a few times throughout the rest of the year via email and once on the phone and never even made reference to it. I still masturbate thinking of it the odd time:)

Finish interview in London.
Walk half hour back to hotel to pick bag up.
Walk half hour to station.
Find out your train isn't for 40mins.
40min train journey to get to your change.
Find out your next train (which takes 40 mins), isn't for 40mins
It's ok though, there's another route in only 20mins!
That route has two changes though and, knowing your luck so far, you'll miss them both.
Oh hey, that's me!

She basically said that she's going to use the payroll she's given on "the people that are most productive for me, and you're not" honestly those two four hour shifts next week are almost not worth coming in for since I drive like 40min to get there. Luckily I have a job interview today/tomorrow at a software company, so I hope it goes well
Yeah that's some mixed messages and bullshit. Unless you really feel like fighting for the job it's probably best to cut your losses and work for someone who is less awful. Anyway, good luck!! I had a series of shit jobs before landing my current one which is actually pretty good so here are some good vibes ✨

Students ROCK
I’m starting to be completely psyched about the students. It took just a bit at first because they are college freshman and pretty consumed with what they are doing in their lives and with each other. They are not as quick to latch on or show excitement to the PAs as the middle school and high school students were, but now that they are seeing that we are young adults with senses of humor too, they are coming out of their shells and they are the best! They are always excited to see you on campus and in the halls, and have started inviting us to do stuff (tomorrow some of the students in my class are cooking hotpot for us in the dorm kitchen!).
There’s 282 students split into 14 classes, or sections. Each section has a teacher and a few PAs. They’ve assigned 4 PAs to each of sections 001-003. These sections are called ‘A1’s – they are the ones who are really riding the struggle bus based on their entrance test. The twelve of us PAs on these sections run a more intensive speaking curriculum than the ‘A2s’ (sections 004-014). My section – 001, which is supposed to be the weakest group of the 14 sections, only has around 15 students. Although I began with section 001, I also began working with section 003 at the beginning of the week for half of each day. The section 001 PAs (yay for us!), apparently did an extra great job in our evening activities section after the first two days of camp, and so they did some tradsies amongst sections and moved me and a fellow PA Zak into two other sections to be ‘lead PAs’. So now I work with section 001 in the morning session, and section 003 in the afternoon and evening activity sessions. Really this lead thing means nothing, all the PAs are great, I think it was more of just a transferring of ideas and energy.
The very first day of camp was a total mind f+^$& for me. There was a special schedule due to the fact that all the students had to do tests in order to check that they had been placed in the right section. Somehow, while the other 37 PAs were assigned to different rooms of 6-8 students to watch them take a test and make sure they didn’t cheat, my teaching partner John and I were assigned to teach 3 sections, of 40min listening/reading class, back to back to back, with ~50 students in each class. Without any of the student’s teachers present, or a co-teacher PA. Like, me in a big room of fifty 18-20 year olds. I had no idea what I was walking into or what was going to happen until I was handed the materials by the program coordinator and walked into the room, and was immediately EXCEEDINGLY happy that I had some experience teaching . If not I would have pooped my pants right in front of the class. Even though I was a tiny bit annoyed to be blind sighted by this assignment, especially when the other 37 PAs were chilling out for 2 hours, I genuinely really love teaching. It was actually really fun to be up in front of a class again without training wheels or co-teachers. I got to run the class how I wanted to run it. (This is a little like my dislike of travelling in groups….no one likes having to compromise…). I’ve missed it and it really was a lot of fun in the end J
So camp is set up like this:
We finally settled into a daily schedule that is actually quite intense. The PAs go to the last hour of morning classes which is from 11-12. In this section we basically divide up so that we are one PA per group, and help the students with the group work that they are working on. This is where I get to work with section 001. Next, there is a lunch break, and then students report back to the classrooms for a 3-rotation of afternoon activities. There’s computer lab, listening/reading lesson, and ‘talk time’ . PAs are responsible for teaching talk times (at least for weeks 1 and 2). For A2s, this means a set of games and activities, but for A1, this means 3 rounds of ‘speed interviews’. These are absolutely exhausting, but ultimately the best possible activity for very low level students to be doing with their time. Each group has 4-5 students, so each of the 4 PAs takes a student for 10 minutes and just has conversation. Every 10 minutes the students rotate. Each student talks to each PA for 10 minutes, and then the first session is done and the next group of students comes in. This means that as PAs, we hold 12 mini 10-minute conversations with non-native speakers, which let me tell is you is TIRING! Luckily, the better we get to know the students, the more fun it is because you get to know them as people, and also get to know their individual English proficiencies better, meaning that it is easier to choose topics and establish a dialogue that you know they will be able to understand, instead of grasping at straws for things they may be able to comprehend.
After the afternoon activity session, there is clubs and sports for an hour. Somehow, my friends Pearl and Dex and I got drafted to run the badminton club(?!?). This has ended up being loads of fun. I got to pick up a new sport and it turns out that it is really, really fun. Some of the students are REALLY good at it, and it’s fun to watch them. The kids come to club and we play doubles at the university sports complex, rotating the loosing team out and a new team in for 5-point games. SO fun!!!
After sports and clubs there is a dinner break and then evening activities from 7:30-8:30, which means basically just games – no studying. Today section 003 group watched Grease…..maybe shouldn’t have watched a movie during evening activities but it waaaas in English, and the kids had had a long day. And so did the PAs.
The 001s and 003s are coming along SO well its sort of incredible! Kids that just giggled and hid their faces if they were asked ‘How are you?’, are now sitting down with me at speed interviews and breaking into monologues about their weekend. It’s amazing what consistent, relentless exposure to a language will do for students. It’s inspiring and wonderful to see their confidence sky-rocket. Love this job!

I have literally never heard of Zach Sang before 40mins ago but. He's amazing and the subject of the next statue I'm going to build. That was one seriously respectful and lovely interview from his part. Questions we begged to be asked from them.
#thanks zach sang#so good#also harry's wriggling and swaying and music are all giving me nothing yet making me feel like i have been given everything

So let’s recap the past couple of days because I haven’t for a while I suppose haha.
Had a marathon convo with Nemoss that went from 9am on Monday to 8am on Tuesday rip and because of that I’m currently operating on 1h sleep but I haven’t really felt very tired yet and I think mostly I’m okay, surprisingly.
So this week is the start of like hell study week jam all the notes into your brain type thing but for some reason I don’t feel particularly stressed about it. I have 112 pages of notes to learn so I’m hoping that the stress kicks in soon. I spent most of Monday morning killing time by playing on my phone and pretending to study. I made a study plan and that’s it.
Then at 1pm I got ready for hospy, grabbed a Turkish melt (yom) and found Kate and friends in Dino. They were going to Coog cos it was pretty hot so I waited for them to get ready and walked with them half the way so I could go to hospy. Time to do my SOCA! I was sort of nervous because I it’s a catchup SOCA to make up for the fact that I fucked up the Effective Communications cap so I felt like I had to make it count but didn’t want to be nervous because I felt that would affect my communication with the patient? I like did a quick recap of the history via Google and then met George my assessor. He was super nice and we went to the cardio ward to do it. The first two patients were busy and I almost had to interview a prisoner (which I was not ready to do lol) but luckily the prisoner was asleep. He was with two policemen and I was made really uncomfortable because as a joke when we asked if we could interview him one of the policemen offered to kick him awake and then when he saw our like shocked faces was like “I was joking” quickly and then like laughed but I felt it was awkward because being mean to a sick patient, prisoner or not is kinda rude? Anyway I had the best luck because I ended up interviewing a patient who was a retired nurse so she like knew what I was trying to ask with the history and could fill in gaps when I forgot to ask about things with useful information and she was super friendly so rapport was good. It was probably the most perfect history I’ve ever done, like structure good and everything and it was definitely what I needed to like boost my confidence about the whole situation and remember why I wanna do med and stuff. George was pretty impressed too so I P+-sed my way through the assessment lol. He did say I should’ve been more like relevant with my questions about presenting complaint though, because she was in for breathlessness and I didn’t pick up that that’s a sign of heart failure so didn’t really ask about related symptoms to heart failure. But overall, it was a good history and I was proud of it.
Then I headed up to Edmund Blackett to attend my actual hospital session. We had this nice girl called Emily running the session and she took us to this patient who had serious scoliosis. It was good to practice the hand exam with my newfound confidence and I feel like I really got a lot out of the whole thing. Hei Wai’s history was a bit stilted but it was actually quite good and just the whole thing was good because it’s renewed my confidence for the OSCEs kind of at a good time I feel.
Then I rushed back to college to borrow a charger off Hamish because mine broke and grab Rid’s textbook before tutoring. Tutoring was pretty fun we were doing polynomial division which is fun to like go through the process. Me and Rid both made a stupid mistake with one of the questions and I got so confused lol but overall it was a really good lesson and I really am feeling the bond between myself and all my kids which is just so hard when I think about dropping them next year.
Then on a whim when I got back I thought I’d study on Floor 7 for some company to see if any of my friends were around. It was windy af but stinking hot and Max was holed away in the stuffy stuffy study room but I joined him for like 30min of studs before STUVAC supper! Because it’s official uni study week, Dino feeds us like supper for Mon-Fri this week and J&D do free coffees and honestly it was so lit. Brownies and fresh fruit (for once) and I ripped my undies by deciding I’d drink a large mocha. I knew the coffee would fuck me up but I was just excited about free coffee and toasties and ham and I was talking to Nemo anyway so figured I wouldn’t be like up and insomniac alone. Kate and Vron were there and we actually chilled at supper for a bit because Kate’s finished for the year so she’s so calm and like chill now – like it’s actually a bit freaky how noticeable the difference is when she doesn’t have a single stress cos uni’s over for her. Vron was saying how she needs to sell her clothes cos she’s so poor and I wanted her like nice conservative clothes for hospy so I was like YASSS I’ll come to your room and look.
So we went to hers and I put aside a potential buy pile and she’s gonna bring up more clothes for me to browse next time she comes back from Tamworth. Then we marched up to Kate’s room so I could relieve her of some clothes. I don’t even need more clothes I have plenty I just wanted to cheaply boost my wardrobe and chill with the two of them and procrastinate I reckon. Linley and Hadeel and Nicky G and Claudia joined us in Kate’s room eventually and it was like a whole party!
Eventually we drifted to the commo and I did some actual work but it was getting pretty late by now so I only got through a couple of lectures. Also my computer just blinked out and died and I freaked the fuck out inside a little bit and had to make my notes off Edward Rose’s notes (which I actually think I may prefer doing now anyway lol) but yeah so it took a bit longer. And so I was texting Nemoss about euthanasia ethics because I wanted to show off my tute and I can’t believe he doesn’t like ethics and philosophy cos I feel like we talk that sorta stuff all the time and I was talking just generally to Max and Claudia and Nick and it was such a good time and then we drifted to Claudia’s room and suddenly it was 3am and we were talking some serious shit about annoying people at college (which was really funny because we all agree but can never say) and about how state laws are stupid and some should be federal etc. and then suddenly it was 3:30am and Clauds had fallen asleep with the light on so we thought we should vacate her room and everyone decided to go to bed.
I was still riding my coffee high and had Nemoss so headed back to my floor and omg Riley had vomited all down the corridor. It smelt terrible and he must’ve vomited like 3x down the corridor at least because it reeked and like in a patchy kinda way too. And then I see Riley and I swear I have never seen someone look so fucked in his life he was white as a ghost his eyes were starey and red and he was shirtless holding his shirt in a crumple and there were literally drips of vom dripping off his shirt-ball onto the floor in front of the bathroom. It was disgusting. And he stared at me blankly and then was like ‘Georgia’ and I was like gonna spew from the smell and I was sleep-deprived and like I don’t really like Riley and I was just like rip rip rip I’m gonna bed so I left him to deal with his shit.
His vom was so strong I could smell it from inside my room with the door closed so it was a huge rip. Anyway by then it was getting kinda late to sleep because I had to get up early to meet corky for brekky so I thought I’d just rough it and stay up and like watch my caffeine doses and like crash sometime tomorrow so I was up chilling with Nemoss by phone till 8am when I crashed for an hour.
Corky woke me up by texting me 40min later to see if I was awake to get ready to go to brekky and she’d even researched the bus I had to take and everything I was like wtf. So I dragged myself outta bed and had to shower on the 4th floor because the 5th floor still reeked like shit and I wasn’t entering that bathroom if my life depended on it. 4th floor water pressure is probably the worst in all of college, I discovered, so after an unsatisfactory shower I grabbed my wallet dumped mascara on and dragged myself on a bus to Centennial park.
Queen’s Park Shed was where we ate and it was actually like very small and quaint, not at all what I expected for some reason but it was nice and had just like chill picnic in the park vibes. Corky and I had granola with poached pear and berries and it was like clearly overpriced for $12 for like a bit of muesli, yoghurt and sparse berries but it was healthy, filling and yummy so oh well. I also medicated with a coffee and I reckon that’s why I’ve made it so far tbh. Corky and I had good chats because I haven’t seen her in ages and she was like not as stressed about uni work as usual because she’d purposely like written time off study so we could hang out. It was really really good to catch up and we talked from 10am to 2:30pm in our procrastination type catchup and it was so good we probs would’ve kept talking except I had to get to class by 3 lol.
SG was boring af we watched 2 videos on like bereavement and palliative care. The first was just an explanation of palliative care and the second was following the life of this irish man who had a large stomach sarcoma and was going to die. It was quite emotional but there wasn’t much like discussion on it and as soon as the vids were over we were pretty much allowed to leave. I was so bored and like not coping (but not tired yet, weird) so I let Kuheli like read texts on my phone and it was kind of weird breaching my own privacy like that but at the same time not really caring because I’m just at that stage in my life where I’m really open cos I don’t give like a shit about anything.
After SG we wasted time with Fenton and Nguyen for awhile then Kuheli dragged me to the coffee cart cos she wanted tea. I stayed well away from that coffee cart because I wanted my sleep tonight thank you very much but considering it’s now 1:30am and I haven’t slept it’s all quite moot, isn’t it? And then I bussed off to tutoring with Ella. Kuheli walked me to the busstop which was nice and I almost crashed on the bus but by that time I was dangerously close to my stop so managed to stay awake. Tutoring Ella woke me up too. We made use of the NRICH site link I stole off Wayne when I used to tutor him and we started doing some problem solving. We were only doing extension Year 5 problem solving and she’s year 7 but I felt that like it was easy enough to ease her into the concepts and yet there were still some things which confused her so I think it was a good level to start and maybe we will build on it next time and go a bit up idk. HOWEVER her exams are coming up so I can’t get distracted by my get her to problem solve goals cos she really has to revise all her topics to do well and pass her test like as first priority. Anyway it was nice session and afterwards her Dad dropped me back at Churchies like right near uni so I didn’t have to bus which was so so so fantastic.
I went up to floor 7 because I think whilst I’m studying I should make the most of people being around and soak up some company too and Linley was studying in the study room. I got a decent amount done, but I’ve lost a lotta time due to wasting time on Monday and having breakfast with Courteney like all day today so I’m still behind but not too stressed. Headed down to floor supper and cos I didn’t have lunch or dinner I like went ham and had a double cheese and ham toastie, 2 donuts and fruit and it was honestly so lit. Stayed away from the coffee again though cos I ain’t that mad.
Then back up to the study room and honestly just threw myself into it. Like Max, Claudia and Nicky G were in and out I think but I honestly can’t say what was going on I was so focused. Kate popped in as well and I think her like meeting with Hugh didn’t go great but it was never going to so at least she was a bit prepared? Idk then we moved to the commo again and the chill cycle is repeating again as we speak with the same people. Hamish has lent me his charger again tonight thank god so I have my phone and now that I’ve successfully (and lengthily) recapped the past like idk 48 hours or so, I can head back for some chats before bed. Hopefully I can find the balance between sleep and chills but idk even if I don’t I just don’t wanna rek myself too much. There’s always a bit of coffee tho tomorrow idk.
Off to Woollahra library all day cos I wanna try a change of scene but also wanna get a lot done so should be like nice to go somewhere slightly different to hang for once. Kk that’s all for now, I know this is quite badly written but I don’t have the cognitive function to like fix it up or write it properly or anything on my limited sleep right now, so it will have to do. Till another day J
