Good omens is about how ambiguous the human concept of morality is and yeah that's hilarious
I think GO is another great exemple of how showing the absurdity of something can only be done when exposing it at its purest degree.
How to demonstrate morality ? What embodies this concept ? How to make it speak ? Who's the bad guy, because stories need a bad guy, thet always needed a bad guy. Oh, right, we humans made a book special because I guess its storytelling was kinda fire like WOW the guy who wrote this def knew what he was doing with large casts and complex plots... But anyway it told things like do good things and don't do bad ones. Yeah right. And it has these creatures that are good and those who are bad .
And if you want to question this "morality" concept, and how impossible it is to apply to us, let's use these little weird angels and demons creatures, because look how not even them can embody the concept properly. They'll have feelings because things that exist either have feelings or can be given feelings because we humans have words and we can only describe things with words. Words are feelings (read some Francis Ponge).
How ironic that is that, in Good Omens, it start as a joke, that morality is literally impossible to define, and it ends as a fucking devasting and harder to read contemplation on how good and bad makes so much nonsense. S2's end is devastating because everything about it is ambiguous, and no character is right. The music that plays during the kiss is harmonically weird. There's sparks and sadness at the same time. Both character's reaction are conflicted : Crowley leaves in desperation, but waits a little, in hope. Aziraphale hesitates, hides how confused he is, sticks to the morality he was taught. No one is still sure on the meaning for "I forgive you/don't bother" + Aziraphale's smile in the credits. the last scene, when they catch eachother's sight in the moving crowd, makes me think of that evangelion shot where it's footage of a crowded street with only the protagonists standing, unmoving and staring at the camera. Loneliness. And Love. And Morality.
What's to be learned : to express something complex, use the simplest way to picture it.

Concept: Neon Genesis Evangelion dating sim but the only datable characters are the Angels
And not like humanized version of them or anything. They appear as they do in the anime/manga. How does that work? I dont fucking know but itd be hilarious

my favorite line in stella is when ramuda says “if i had one wish, i’d like to see my hometown … but i don’t know if it still exists”
i remember pre-clone reveal when we were all debating over the nature of ramuda being non-human, this was my biggest lead towards “he’s still organic” because to me it implied memory loss; that there was a past self he doesn’t know still exists or not. and we have gotten some confirmation that he “came from” someone different who was the original, but “it’s a long story”.
i feel as though stella foreshadowed a lot obviously, but that line is one that hasn’t been resolved at all and it’s driving me mad. on the surface if you look at “fling posse’s secrets” you see that ramuda’s has been revealed; gentaro’s and dice’s haven’t been revealed to each other but we the audience know what they are. but i feel like ramuda’s secret, at least according to stella, was never that he was a clone, it’s whoever he was before. and i don’t know if even ramuda knows that.

(the second paragraph is serious, but the analogy between the first and second paragraph is a shitpost)
Years ago I read an article (true or not I cannot say) about people whose meditation practice lets them function on less sleep. The catch is that you have to meditate as many hours as you take away. Huh, I thought at the time. If this is true, then people who meditate are able to do a function (memory consolidation? background processing of stuff?) while conscious that the body usually can't do unless it's unconscious.
I notice I was really really tired an hour ago (and mostly stopped writing/talking, which I'd been doing for much of the day) and am really really tired now, but spent that whole hour doing... er... it's hard to say. It involves being on my computer. It involves writing up and musing over the most interesting things that happened to me today. It involves rereading the words I wrote for my fiction project and sort of... getting used to their existence. I empirically wanted to do this more than sleep, which I wanted very much. I was barely on social media (I posted some of these thoughts and immediately switched my attention to reading/typing more thoughts) so I don't think it's an addiction thing. And after an hour of this I have a distinct relaxed / garbage-out feeling, like I've mentally caught up with my own day.

I'd like to imagine Sage is basically just Rei from NGE and not only did Eggman just create her just so he could have The Perfect Kid but every time she dies he just makes another one of her

(italian anon) adrien and felix really are like shinji and asuka because adrien is an interesting character in theory but he is executed in the most annoying unappealing way while felix objectively deserves his own show or at least more screentime and yet he is treated poorly by everyone including the writers. sorry i just have very strong opinions on evangelion heehee
no go on you're right . we're asuka in a world of shinnies that listen to radiohead & weezer
