I know it's still February but I'm already starting to think about April's Camp NaNoWriMo.

The story I'm considering the strongest right now is a new one (yes I know, another one). It would be a fanatsy story about a kingdom where the king and queen outlaw magic - and then give birth to a daughter who uses magic.

Anyone else having early Camp NaNo thoughts?

You are the daughter of an angelic faerie and an elven king. You have grown up inside the only magical safe-haven of an increasingly apocalyptic land outside. But you hear him speak for the first time. He is a speaker, and perhaps to him you are the monster. You do not run, and you do not kill.

He calls you "Tinuviel"

He calls you nightingale- a little songbird, plain and brown, with a lovely voice. They are your mother's creation, but he does not know this.

He calls you daughter of twilight- perhaps for your skin and eyes and hair, but perhaps because that is when he has seen you most.

He calls you singer- creator of the very fabric of the universe, skilled enough to deserve the title.

You are the most beautiful creature the world will ever see, the daughter of an angel and a king. He does not call you beautiful, or angelic, or princess. He calls you a singer, plain and brown, dark and distant as the approaching night.

He is bloody and travel-worn and weary and wide-eyed as you dare to step closer.

He called you nightingale.

You don't know what to call him, but you hope to find out.

Okay, so I am watching all the detective Orpheus stuff and different things are standing out to me and the most prominent thing that I probably should have realized forever ago but

almost every time Alice's mom is shown in trailers and such she has THOSE SIMILAR SHAPED WINGS AS MISS NIGHTINGALE (the only time you don't see her with the wings on her shoulders is when Orpheus is telling the story and self inserting himself in Alice's place.)

NOW

every time Orpheus thinks back on Alice he views her as TWO people

The only time he sees Little Girl alone is after this scene in the Little Girl Trailer:

then little girl is alone and trapped

being referred to as 'My Nightingale' and "HIS' unfailing bait" and she is a bird that is caged just like Miss Nightingale, she ain't going much of anywhere in that cage petticoat

maybe she could shuffle along but I dunno, maybe portals around the manor lol I don't knowww

ANYWAYS back to the point:

Detective Orpheus is obviously unhinged as heck but he refers to Alice as the 'little girl with her mother' Then I saw somewhere that Miss Nightingale 'visits him' 'haunts him' (so that got me thinking that is where the 'mom alice' went/became in his mind and she haunts him in a way) but I couldn't find it anywhere to see for myself so I am throwing that out until there is some way to see for sure.

but she appears to him as much as little girl does, both guiding and helping people

but back to my REAL POINT:

He sees Little Girl, as the Alice he knew. and This grown up lady that he calls her 'Mom', in place of present Alice

So Orpheus's psycho brain seeing this lady as the mom of little girl and his brain starts piecing together this woman that is a mixture of: -present Alice(who is actually standing there in front of him), -with her actual mother(with her iconic feathers), -and the nightingale The only three things he remembers at first and that his alter ego wants captured to use as BAIT likely to weaken the main orpheus ego so he gain take control again like before the da capo game takes place and his evil plottings. because the nightingale/Alice is his weakness

goodness gracious this is a mess, whenever I am diggin into Orpheus stuff and how he thinks its all so messy LOL

but I made this its own post cause its more Miss Nightingale centered

Would anyone be interested if I (did something I’ve never done before and) posted chapters as I finish them for a Sorcerer Rogier x Tarnished fic I’m writing? 👀 I never do this because my WIP list is a mile long and growing and I’ve only ever ACTUALLY FINISHED four fics. Plus I have a tendency to go back and edit as I work. But yeah. Any takers?

Last song: "Klown Bitch" by Sam Haft (from Helluva Boss). Absolute banger. I like his demo version better than the final version because I can understand the words better, and there's also an extra verse that wasn't in the episode.

Last movie: The Evil Dead (1983). I'd seen it before, my husband hadn't. Both of us agreed we don't need to watch it again.

Currently watching: Dragonball Z Kai. Hubby's a massive Dragonball fan, so he really wanted me to watch it with him. I'm glad Kai is not dragging things out the way the OG anime did, but it's still not my thing.

Currently reading: The Dragon's Bride. Tldr: Monsterfucker romance. It's hot.

Currently craving: Writing. I'm feeling itchy pen syndrome, but I have a doctor's appointment in a bit, so I don't want to get sucked in and be late. (Just ate so not craving any food)
