Great understanding of fundamentals and a good visual memory.

Has used up a lot of sketchbooks, sketching nature and surrounding with pencils in his free time.

Have different purposes use of his sketchbooks, but have a main one for daily practice. Using the sketchbook page by page, marked the date for his art section was made on the top page corner, like a diary.

Love to draw animals but still draw some people too. Family, friends, and pets are prominent themes.

Smooth line and soft, delicate shading. Neat observation and attention to detail.

Do well-planning drafts and thoughtful studying. Practice and draw more subjects for the ideal drawings he has in mind.

Lately, Damian had a heavy interest in learning the shojo manga art style. ( Try to reference/inmates Tezuka Osamu Sansei's works )

Use markers & ball-point pens more than pencils.

Doing great on a single page of the paper, but using the sketchbook poorly. Often failing to fill the whole book. Has neat little drawings throughout the sketchbook instead, reflecting her inconsistent drawing habits.

The drawings are not in the right order in Nika's sketchbook, she opened a random page and found a blank space to draw. Marked the date for the finished art on the corner of it, if she still remembered.

Likes to draw objects, design symbols, and stylish cartoony characters. Death themes and classic weaponaryies are prominent.

Thick angular lines and light shading with pencil.

Nika rarely did the full details sketch before the lineart, and even if she did, the final lineart on top is still a different variation from the original sketch ( it bothered Nika sometimes, but Damian found her subconscious method quite interesting ). She would draft the little thumbnail art instead, this way is more helpful for her to visualize the planned drawings.

Still trying to find her style of drawing people, had tried a lot of approaches. Recently, Nika has learned a lot from Damian and soaked up his advice and tips like a sponge.

GWitch Onscreen Text: Episode 17 PART 2: DUEL

Greetings and Salutations! This is part 19 of my attempt to catalogue and discuss the onscreen text on monitors and screens in G Witch, as well as discuss other interesting things. This is Part 2 of Episode 17, covering the parallels to season 1 in Suletta and Guel's Duel in the latter half of the episode.

Episode Analysis is never decided by the quality of an episode alone. Nor by the skill of the analyst alone.

PREFACE:

For the sake of simplifying things when drawing parallels, please keep in mind these shorthands:

Duel 1 (D1) will refer to Guel and Suletta's first duel in Episode 1. Duel 2 (D2) will refer to Guel and Suletta's rematch in Episode 3. Duel 3 (D3) will refer to Guel and Suletta's third duel in THIS episode.

Now let us begin.

DUEL

When the duel starts, the framing of Secelia's "Fix Release" is similar to Shaddiq's in D1, and El4n's in D2. Though, for some reason, hers is lit more brightly.

An interesting thing about this duel is that it's the only duel in the series where the Committee Member who officiated the Dueling Oath is NOT the same as the Member who Observes the corresponding duel.

Suletta v. Guel (D2) was officiated and Observed by El4n. Guel v. Elan and Elan v. Suletta were both officiated and Observed by Shaddiq. Miorine v. Shaddiq was officiated and Observed by Lauda.

But Suletta v. Guel (D3) was officiated by Rouji('s HARO), and Observed by Secelia. Not a parallel, but isn't it interesting?

The Duel's first parallel shows up early on. When Guel closes the distance on Suletta, who's firing at him, he disappears into a cloud of dust, only for Suletta to realize she hit his shield and not his mobile suit, proclaiming, "A shield?" (Left) This is a callback to Duel 1, where Lauda exclaimed the same thing when Suletta blocked Guel's shots with the GUND-Bit Shield. (Right)

After Guel tries to swing his blade at the AERIAL and hesitates after seeing a flashback to the fight with his father, he doesn't end up swinging, but instantly draws out his gun, only to hesitate again, unable to pull the trigger. This is the exact same thing he did during that previous fight, down to the motion of the gun and the twitching of his finger.

It's why he grabs it and says, "Damn you..." because he's repeating that same behavior.

After this, we see a scene where Prospera thanks Bel for her help with the duel. This is paralleling Duel 1. If you remember, Suletta only won that duel because Nika interfered, allowing Suletta to enter the Tactical Testing Sector and getting to Aerial by using her notebook.

Now, Duel 3 is going to be lost due to Bel's interference, and her role in (presumably) helping Miorine program the remote shutdown on the Victory Charm. Both duels even have a scene where their role in it is pointed out by someone.

This parallel to the Jeturk fight is pointed out within the episode itself, but you might not have noticed that it wasn't just Suletta pulling out the sword that was similar, the explosion of the Darilbalde's pods was also an allusion to that moment.

This next scene is also a parallel to Duel 2. (Right) During that Duel, when Guel is talking to his father, he demands to know why his father won't believe in him, and his father responds, "Why don't you understand this duel is bigger than you? Children should do as their parents say!" Only for Guel to snap, smashing his notebook and disabling the AI, proceeding to finish the fight on his own. He shouts, "This is my fight! It's mine! Only mine!" as he rushes Suletta.

In Duel 3, Guel is paralyzed with fear in the face of his traumatic memories. He's frozen, unable to move, but it's only the shouts of encouragement from his brother, Petra, Felsi, and all of Jeturk house that snaps him from that daze and spurs him into action. This battle is not for him alone. It belongs to him, and everyone behind him.

Both Duels even follow up their respective scene with Guel defending from Suletta's sword swing with his Beam Drones, and follows that up by attaching his shackle claws to Aerial's shoulders.

The BGM that plays during this penultimate scene is also different in their respective duels. In Duel 2 (Right) the song that plays is, unsurprisingly, The Witch from Mercury.

But in Duel 3 (Left), the song that plays is Weapons Should Only Exist to Kill People.

After that big attack, Guel looks down at the control panel and says, "This thing..." (Right) in reaction to the assistance he received from the AI. This is a parallel to his reaction in Duel 2 (Left), where he said the same thing. In that duel, he was fighting against the AI, but in Duel 3, he's embracing it, and working together with it has improved the ability of the Darilbalde significantly.

I also like to believe that, before in Duel 2, the Autopilot moved without his command, leading him to say, "This thing..." in annoyance. But in Duel 3, the Darilbalde didn't move to defend against Suletta's attack UNTIL Guel moved it first. I think he was surprised about that.

In Duel 2, Aerial's Right arm is severed from its body, but in Duel 3, it's reversed, and it's left arm has been severed.

And then, in the climactic moment of the fight, Suletta affirms Guel's strength, but says that she won't lose. (Left) Just as she did in Duel 2 (Right).

She explains why she can't lose. In Duel 2 (Right), it was because "There's still so much left on my wish list." But in Duel 3 (Left), the reason has changed. It's because She promised. She promised Miorine she would win. So they could buy rings, wear pretty dresses, and have a beautiful wedding.

It's easy to miss, but Miorine's hands are shaking here, and she's hesitating to activate the shutdown function.

As Suletta proposes to Miorine, and asks her to choose her, she starts charging the GUND-Bit Canon (Left). Considering it's raw power and strength, even at it's lowest output settings as we see in episode 12 (Right), it's probably not unreasonable to assume that if she had released this charge, she might have fatally injured Guel.

Eri apologizes to Suletta. Now that she's reached Permet 8, she can fully control her body. Even if Miorine hadn't forced a shutdown, she probably would have deactivated on her own accord.

During the final scene, it parallels Duel 1. The shot as a whole is similar to the scene in Duel 1 where Suletta opens Aerial's cockpit door to take Aerial back from Miorine (Top Right). Only now, Miorine has appeared to take Aerial away from her.

Miorine takes the Holder colors from her, (Bottom Left) just as she first bestowed them upon her at the end of Duel 1 (Bottom Right)

She takes it all back. Everything that she'd said, everything that they'd been, and realizes Suletta's worst fears from Episode 11.

Nice to meet you, my groom.

Goodbye, my Mercurian country bumpkin.

You might have noticed, but all 3 of Suletta and Guel's duels take place in dark, overcast environments. In Duel 1 (Left), when Suletta wins, intense, golden rays cut through the cloudy sky.

In Duel 2 (Middle), when Suletta wins, the light is less vibrant, but it still shines through, mixing with the squall of the sprinklers to create a beautiful rainbow.

In Duel 3 (Right), when Suletta loses, there is no light.

And just as in Duel 1, the scene fades out into the credits.

And with that, it's over.

Did Garp ever find out about Luffy's suicide attempt?

Maybe - because:

- Luffy knows if something too too bad happens or he disagrees too strongly with Nika it will take a serious toll on him

- this is only an issue that can happen when he's left alone for too long

- Ace was very reluctant to leave when he turned 17 because of the above, and never told anyone about what Luffy did because it was Luffy's business and Ace has always been a bit ashamed of how close he was to losing his last brother from "neglect" (its Not His Fault, he doesn't accept this)

- Luffy, for Ace's sake and the sake of the promise he made, goes to Dadan and explains everything the day after Ace leaves. Explains that he has bad days sometimes and asks to crash at the hut every once in a while because that's how he needs help. Dadan agrees, and Luffy decides the help is worth the concern that pinches her brow every time he visits.

- Dadan doesn't mention this to anyone either, since it's Luffy's business, not for years, not until after Luffy sets off, not until Garp comes back.

- since the general consensus after marineford is that Luffy is Dead, since the strain Nika took on him took him out for longer and Ace was the one with the flowers for the casualties and Luffy's strawhat and 3D2Y for Luffy's crew. Dadan did her best to beat Garp's face in

- In her rant about how horrible and undeserving and neglectful Garp is, she might let slip that he'd tried to kill himself in the rant, to emphasize how Garp was the worst and those were her boys he tried to kill

- She doesn't get her peace-of-mind until a marine-postage letter comes to her in the mail, and she considers burning it because Garp is the only marine that writes to her, but she doesn't and she hears from a kid named Coby that Luffy was in the red for a while, but he was okay now and he even included a drawing from Luffy of the whole gang of bandits. The whole gang celebrates

- Garp isn't one to think about past possibilities, but something about how he knew better and before anyone else what Luffy's devil could do to him and he still wasn't there after one of his grandsons died and another was a danger to himself on a good day, not to mention Ace's issues. It just sticks with him

As much as bandai wants to say that sulemios relationship is “purely up to interpretation” they cannot change the solid and true text of the show that is “these bitches gay!! Good for them!! Good for them”, anyways we as a fandom should write and draw them being as in love and married as possible and also share headcanons cause fuck bandai all my homies hate bandai

Here are some headcanons for ye:

- suletta, after living on earth for a bit, finds that she absolutely ADORES animals, growing up on mercury her only exposure to animals came from mangas and animes and when she started rooming in earth house (with some help and encouragement from aliya of course) she began to love the farm animals (she even got slightly over her fear of goats!). Now when miorine and her are out on the town it takes all of sulettas willpower to not adopt every stray and window animal they pass and it takes all of miorines willpower to say no to her (suletta gives her the biggest wettest puppy dog eyes known to man and miorine nearly caves each time)

- both suletta and miorine were extremely awful at cooking when they first moved in together, suletta mainly ate mres from living on mercury and miorine was living off of noodle cups and take out from the school cafeteria but both of them get pretty good at it because miorine wants to make life as easy as she can for suletta and spoil her while suletta wants to welcome miorine home with a fresh meal after a long day of work (overall both want to give each other actual fresh food instead of years old mres and heat up noodles HXIHDID)

- i stand by the headcanon that suletta and miorine are the most clingiest and in love couple to ever exist, miorine tries her best to avoid going on long business trips cause she hates being away from her wife but when she does shes in full business mode to get the work done as quickly as possible so she can get back home and cuddle with suletta, meanwhile suletta gets easily distracted and kind of mopey when shes gone and probablytears up at anything even remotely miorine related (she has gone .2 seconds without kisses how can she live like this smh)

- when word gets around in the business world that miorine married suletta (at least legally, the wedding happens after nika gets out of jail) many of the remaining old business cronies are like “its just young love i give them a year tops”, anyways then the two of them stay happily married for the rest of their lives forever in their honeymoon phase

- miorine, suletta, eri and elnora try to have a family game night at least once a week but it usually ends with miorine and eri bickering while suletta and elnora chat (miorine accuses eri of hacking the game and cheating, eri denies this and claims miorine is just jealous of her (she was cheating tho))

so i mentioned a bridgerton AU for nika and artoirel and uh,,, it kinda broke my writer's block so i wrote a thing. self indulgent, as fics go. ignore the historical inaccuracies, glaring though they may be.

The gentlemen’s club is full. Of course, there was a good reason for that; as a frequenter of the clubs himself, Nika fully understands the appeal of such places, where you meet men of your rank, drink, gossip like you would in drawing rooms, but with less rigidity around it all. And this particular club, situated at the very periphery of the fashionable part of town, housed one of Nika’s favorite places to settle when he was in the mood for observation. The chairs are always awfully comfortable and the drink is of superb quality, and not to mention their black teas. Sometimes, after a performance at the court, he’d go here to listen to the impressions. All delightfully positive, which soothed Nika’s ego like little else. 

Now, though, he has a mission of critical fucking importance. This club was the only place he could think of as he tried to run away from calls from a particularly adamant mother who wants musically inclined grandkids. So he tasked his own mother with fending her off, with a half strangled, ‘I do not wish to marry her fucking daughter’ and off he was, to the only place he knew he was more or less safe, to the only place where he could slump in the chair and nobody would bat an eye. 

Who the fuck knew that fending off sharklike marriage connoisseurs would be so tiring? 

Unfortunately for him, when he ran towards the table at the back with semi-appropriate haste, he found the seat had already been taken, by none other than the new Count de Fortemps. He’s equally taken a chance to tiredly slump, and is now drinking small sips of port. The delicate glass fits his long fingers, Nika thinks. The details on the glass is almost as pristine as the perfect roundness of his short nails; he crosses his legs, as if to showcase the brilliant shine of his black shoes and his long legs. The low lighting of a nearby lamp makes the sharpness of his face stand out, and in the warmth of it, his blue eyes gleam with relief of finally having a moment to himself. 

Too bad Nika’s mean enough to disturb it. He deserves it, the handsome bastard. “That is my spot,” Nika says. Artoirel straightens immediately and squints. 

“There is not your name written anywhere here, Lord Perseis.” Artoirel shakes his glass. He looks at Nika beneath dark eyelashes. “Therefore, I am permitted to sit here. Am I not a paying customer of this fine establishment?” 

“You are, but you can be a paying customer on another seat. Your money’s going in the same pocket.” Nika crosses his arms. He will not allow anyone else, regardless of how pleasing to the eye they might be, to sit in his place. 

“As is yours,” Artoirel quips and raises his chin. Nika stares him down. “Is there anything I can help you with, Lord Perseis?” 

“You can move from– You know what, my lord? Nevermind. But I’m going to sit here–” Nika points at the chair opposite of the one Artoirel’s currently occupying, “and annoy you with my presence when you so very obviously wish to be alone.” He promptly throws himself on the seat. “You Ishgardians are another breed of person, I swear.” 

He’s breaking a hundred social protocols, but he doesn’t care. He never did. Not now, when there’s a pretty bastard on his seat, and he has to wait for the offending matron to be successfully evicted from the manor premises. Artoirel’s steely gaze would make anyone uncomfortable, but not Nika. Oh no, not Nika. 

“I concur,” Artoirel then adds, quietly. “Especially persistent mamas who would like to see their children married off.” 

Nika blinks, but before he can react, the waiter comes over. “Brandy,” he orders, and turns his attention back to Artoirel. “They’re trying to marry you off too?” 

“There is nobody to marry me off but myself, my lord. However, other people of rank seem to think they ought to be related to a Count.” He rubs his temples. “I, for one, am not willing to marry just yet. But alas.” 

“Ah,” Nika takes a sip of his brandy. “People also seem to think they ought to be related to a musician.”

“And there is no stopping the tide,” Artoirel finishes, with the same misery as before. “‘Twould seem we share a struggle.” 

“At the moment, no,” Nika throws his head back and sighs. He watches Artoirel - the dark pink of his lips, pressed in a thin line, the strands of black hair that fall around his face in a tamed wave, the high points of his cheekbones. I wouldn’t mind being seen with him, Nika thinks. This serious expression suits him. Although, he would probably look just as good if he smiled more. 

No, I wouldn’t mind it at all. 

Nika jerks upright. “We both have the same issue, my good count,” he starts. “And I may have a solution.” 

“If you are suggesting we run to Coerthas and live in a small cabin, thus never seeing a soul ever again, which Lord Stephanivien has told me at some point, I shall promptly turn you down.” 

Nika frowns. “No! What I meant to say was we pretend to be betrothed. That is the problem - people preying on our lack of current romantic lives, right? So we simply pretend we have them, with each other, we walk sometimes around the gardens and go to some operas and people leave us alone.” 

“That.. is not a horrible plan,” Artoirel says after a thought. “And after a while, we break it off, once everyone else has understood that we are to be left alone.” 

“Yes! Like that! We both win!” Nika grins. Finally! A solution that might work! No more annoying nobles, throwing their children at him! At long last, he’ll have peace, music and fame! 

“If we are both in agreement,” Artoirel says with all the seriousness in the world, “when would you find it appropriate for me to ask your mother for your hand in marriage?” 

Uh oh. I wouldn’t mind being seen with him.

HEADCANON: What if Luffy was born with an incurable desease?

I don't know if this headcanon already exists, but I thought it could be interesting. I also tried to post it on reddit already, but I'm not used to reddit at all, so - here I am!

First and foremost - I'm definitely not an expert in this kind of desease, but will try my best to represent it and assure that I don't intend to offense people affected by it! (and for a lil' side note, I'm not a native speaker so I'm sorry if there are some mistakes!)

It's just a little headcanon I had for some time now and I wanted to share it, so here it is:

Luffy was born with Osteoporosis, which causes fragile and porous bones that could break very easily. It's a systemic skeletal disorder characterized by low bone mass, causing the bones of those affected to break like glass if they're not careful enough.

People with osteoporosis sometimes are advised to take sunbaths for vitamins, which is funny considering Nika is the god of sun. They are also told that sport is very important, keeping their body as healthy as possible but since there are many risks of accidents, swimming is the best pick for motion and that's why Luffy, before eating the devilfruit was a particulary good swimmer.

Luffy loves meat, cause he wasn't allowed to eat that as a kid, since meals known for drawing calcium out of the body are not good for his health.

Just imagine, what his life was before meeting with Shanks and eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi, which would change his life forever.

Dragon, taking his sick baby to his father with a broken heart, because he knew that he could die under his care since the revolution army is not a good place for kids, living a very dangerous and rough life.

Garp, who didn't take Luffy to Ace and Dadan right away, because he knew he was different and had to be kept in special care, so he took him to Foosha instead, asking the mayor and Makino to take care of the boy.

Makino, serving little luffy glasses of milk everyday to strengthen his bones.

Luffy, growing up the first few years of his life as a rather sad kid, not allowed to play with other kids, not being able to life a "normal" life or do anything like anyone else, caged in his own body.

Just imagine this little boy, arms and legs padded with soft pads to keep his bones from being broken, sitting behind closed windows, looking outside and desperately wishing to be free to roam the seas like the pirates he always dreams of.

A little boy in his room, not older than 4 or 5 years, silently sobbing at night because he thinks his parents might have just abandoned him due to his desease and gramps is now the only one of his family who cares about him.

There's also Makino who's always covering his arms and legs with the soft pads first before he's allowed to do anything at all, always stopping him from slipping outside, always watching him, always worried.

She takes care of him everytime he manages to escape her, eventually hurting himself. Since his body is very fragile, every trip, every fall after failing to climb up a small tree has severe consequences. Broken bones don't heal fast and even if they do, he has to deal with chronic pain afterwards and then he sits there on his bed, desperate and sad again, his whole body aching, looking outside and dreaming of being as free as he just can imagine.

And then, one day, a mighty ship with a black flag and a dragon head on it's bow comes into the harbour. Shanks arrives at Foosha, meeting with the strange and sad boy named Luffy for the first time in Makinos bar. He's suprised, he sees the pads, his sad and angry face. But instead of treating him as the fragile, disabled kid that everyone else in Foosha sees in him, he treats him like a normal boy, buying him juice instead of milk, telling him stories of pirates and their great adventures, things no one ever did to little Luffy before, because the village people thought, it would hurt him too much.

Ben, Yasopp and Lucky Loo are the same as their captain, they play funny games with the boy everytime they visit the bar - Ben pretending to being shot by Luffys self made "pistols" out of sticks. Yasopp telling stories of his son who happens to be the same age as Luffy and what good friends they would be if they knew each other, causing luffy to start dreaming of having lots of friends some day. Lucky Loo, playing cards with luffy and always losing on purpose, dispite being the best player in the world, so that he can give him some bites of his meat as a reward.

As time passes with the red hair pirates, Luffys dreams grow bigger and bigger, longing for the greatest freedom in the world and admiring the red hair pirates, especially Shanks, who he sees as the father he never had but always wished for so desperately.

But Shanks is not an idiot, he knows exactly that a kid with a body like that could never survive the Grand Line so he always tells him that he can't take him with them on their journey. Luffy is angry, of course, since he fears the day the red hair pirates would leave the village, leaving Luffy behind alone and hopeless once more. He's angry and desperate and sad, he wants to go with them, wants to see the world and feel the most freedom on the oceans! Shanks is strict, he won't take him with him, no matter how much the boy's begging.

So Luffy sits there on the counter of Makinos bar after he had another argument with Shanks again, when suddenly he hears a strange voice in his head. For a moment he thinks, that voice is coming from that wooden box in front of him.

"Hey, boy. Psst, boy! You seem like the saddest lad out here. You wanna be free, huh? Sailing the seas, finding friends, to do anything you can imagin'?

I might be able to help ya..."

Episode 6: “A Gloomy Song”

Let’s start off with that bombshell in the opening scene. That woman, Belmeria, tried to mention something that happened in Prospera’s past 21 years ago. Now, assuming Prospera is indeed Elnora, it’s hard to imagine there is a bigger incident that happened in her past that can top the events of the prologue. So if that’s what it is, Eri would be 25 years in the present. Now, it still wouldn’t be impossible in a sci-fi setting for Eri to be Suletta, say for instance, cryostasis, but it seems unlikely. It’s clear we need more information to draw any definitive conclusions.

Prospera seems very informed. She knew about the assassination attempt, and about there being multiple “Enhanced Persons”. What else does she know and how? It’s clear she is working with other people, and whoever they are, they not only have an amazingly intelligence network, but they also have resources, enough to build or rebuild a Gundam it seems.

The girls seem confused about Elan’s behaviour which isn’t so surprising. Last episode, they were quick spin his behaviour and actions to suit their own narratives and desired outcome, and got it so wrong. They don’t know anything of substance about him other than he doesn’t express any emotions, which to me was a red flag from the start. It also probably doesn’t help that Suletta is so trusting, she never found any of Elan’s actions suspicious, so she probably thought nothing of his questions or his desire to pilot Aerial alone. She probably didn’t even tell the others that happened.

Before I get to the next point, Chuchu said that Elan was starting to piss her off now, right? I read/remember that, right? I thought all Spacians pissed her off by merely existing?

So, I pointed this out last reaction, and I am glad it is being brought up now. When Suletta duels, she is effectively also gambling with her engagement to Miorine, so accepting a duel without her consent is a pretty shitty thing to do to her. But now that it has been acknowledged and she’s explained it to Suletta, she’ll be more mindful of it in the future.

I suppose there had to be pretty severe consequences for Guel. It’s difficult for me to feel sorry for him, he for the most part brought it on himself with his recklessness and impulsiveness. So now he has been evicted from Jeturk House, but his tuition is still paid for. He just doesn’t have a place to stay anymore and not just anyone would take him in. We’ll see what comes of it in the next few episodes.

So, in order to fight in space, Aerial needs a thruster module, was it? But Suletta didn’t have one and Earth House can’t afford one, so Nika’s plan is to build one from scraps. Even then, it’s made clear that Suletta has to win just for Earth House to cover the costs. It just reaffirmed my confidence in Suletta’s inevitable victory

So “Enhanced Person Number 4” would eventually die anyway if he continued to pilot Gundams. Seems Peil are still far from finding a solution to this crucial flaw.

As soon as he walked in with that fancy suit, I knew that was the real Elan Ceres. So Number 4 takes all the risks, and Elan gets to keep the reputation and rewards, including Miorine’s hand in marriage if Number 4 were to win.

The damning part though when he promised to give back Number 4’s face and identity. Meaning he’s not some clone, he’s a person whose identity was erased and rewritten. Meaning, they are still sacrificing humans lives to piloting Gundams but they’re also ensuring no one would ever know who they are or that they ever existed. That’s so much worse than what Ochs Earth and Vanadis were accused of. No further proof is needed to know the Cathedra Agreement wasn’t based on bioethical concerns.

So here’s the thing. When Suletta was testing the thruster, Miorine didn’t have to join Nika in the shuttle. She has no technical expertise, and she can easily communicate to Suletta from the station. The only reason she would be in the shuttle would be to stay as close to Suletta as physically possible, there’s no other explanation.

Also, Miorine’s little pep talk is something. She’s basically saying, yeah, it’s annoying how Suletta gets into other people’s business when they don’t want her to. However, because she is her annoying self, Miorine’s in a much better place now, so perhaps it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Unless it backfires and blows up in your face, like it did for Guel. Regardless, it’s too late for regrets, whatever “Elan’s” problem is with Suletta, the challenge was made so all she can do is move forward.

Mio-Mio really said that if Suletta loses it would be bad for her as “her bride”. Pretty sure, if Suletta were to lose, you would no longer be able to call yourself “her bride” but it seems like that’s how you want to refer to yourself anyway. Oh, she’s falling. And I agree with Nika, I think she has already forgiven Suletta, she just can’t stay mad at her fiancée.

Okay, Suletta, I get why you want to talk things out with “Elan”, but did you really have to sing that damn song?

Seems Lauda has taken over all of Guel’s responsibilities, including the duelling committee position. Not sure what this change will mean yet.

So Suletta’s stake is to learn all about “Elan”, which I think is pretty fair thing to ask. Number 4 never gave up much information about himself willingly, and never even explained why it is he’s so pissed off at her. She wants to at least understand him so she can at least figure out what this whole thing is about. And I just want to tell those girls, no, that is not a love confession. That’s an “I’m interested in you” confession, which can be either romantic or platonic. You can’t love someone you don’t know, and most of what she does know about Number 4 is a lie.

Again, Miorine does not need to be in the shuttle with Nika, she could have stayed at Earth House and watch the match in relative comfort. She is there because she wants to be as close to Suletta during the duel as possible.

So Number 4 finally reveals his true feelings. He’s jealous because Suletta also pilots a Gundam but she still has everything, while he was stripped of his own identity. He thought she was someone in a similar situation, someone he can relate to. But because she wasn’t what he wanted her to be, he wants to spite her, to take something away from her instead.

We all noticed the difference, Number 4 raised the Permit Score throughout the fight to power up and control his Gundam, meanwhile all Suletta did was ask for help from “everyone”. It’s like she considers those Gund bits to be their own individuals and even went out of her way to protect a single bit from being destroyed. Everyone had it wrong, she’s not controlling the Gund bits directly, they are moving on their own, in a way that is far to organic to be the work of a conventional AI.

That brings us to the deciding moment of the battle, Elan had her cornered, but it looks like Aerial reacted on her own. That pulse seems similar to that anti-Gundam we saw in the prologue, but I can’t say for sure what it is. My best guess, it was like Aerial boosted her own Permit score to override and overwhelm Number 4’s own link, and because of that, he caught a glimpse into Aerial’s mind. He heard and saw the silhouette of a seemingly playful child, that turned out to be one of Aerial’s Gund bits. I wonder if this means Aerial is still just fooling around at this point and hasn’t taken any of these duels too seriously because she knew she and Suletta would win.

Suletta scores her second victory, and has struck a decisive blow to two of the three branches. We’ll see in time what affect this will have but certainly everyone is going to start taking Suletta more seriously. Especially since both the Duelling Committee and the powers-that-be within the Benerit Group are fully aware that this was a duel between two Gundams. They’ll be more cautious about challenging her in the future.

So, Miorine says she will allow “some minor two-timing” since she is an “understanding bride”. That’s interesting. See, when Suletta first brought up how she wanted to date, Mio-Mio didn’t seem all that bothered about Suletta wanting to date other people. She pretty much said it was okay since she had no plans of seeing the engagement through. Now it seems she’s changed her tune, her comment suggests she is giving permission for Suletta to see other people, but I’m wondering what the limit is for “some minor two-timing” to Mio-Mio.

More importantly though, it seems now Nika is starting to acknowledge that Mio-Mio has feelings towards Suletta.

I have to agree with Mio-Mio, if they don’t show up at least a few minutes before, they are running late. And again, she doesn’t have to be there, she probably shouldn’t be, given that this time it is pretty much a date this time. It’s clear at this point that she cares about Suletta and wants to look out for her. And I’m fairly certain her comment was her subtle way of telling Suletta that if Mio-Mio was her date, she absolutely would show up at least five minutes early because she deserves a date that values her time. Heck, she wasn’t even the date and she showed up early anyway, so there you go!

He’s not coming. Not surprised that a person who is referred to by his superiors by only a number is expendable and easily replaceable. And now we know the meaning of the episode’s title.

Now, what does this mean? The implication is that before long, another “Elan Ceres” will take number 4’s place at the school sooner or later. What does that mean for Suletta’s relationship with the person she thinks is “Elan”, I can see it going a number of ways, but it will likely involve a lot of confusion, deception, and heartbreak.
